It's a steal if you replace HDD with SSD and do a clean install of Windows 10 to get rid of the bloat ware!!!!!
May 4, 2016
Model reviewed: Acer Aspire E15; White; i5; 8GB RAM; Nvidia 940m 4GB; 500GB SSD (replaced 1TB stock drive); 1TB HDD as second driveMy dad bought this laptop and he had me put an SSD in it. the process was very easy and I STRONGLY recommend it.First: download bootable tool from windows to make a usb bootable for a clean windows install (use USB 3. it goes faster)Second: carefully pry off back after taking out all the screws and replace HDD with SSDThird: plug in bootable usb made from earlier and start up computer and follow instructionsForth: install necessary drivers (I installed the 940m driver from Nvidia and I STRONGLY recommend using PC matic which will take care of the other drivers and NOT Acer bloat ware)After doing this, I ran benchmarks using CineBENCH:Before SSD install with bloat ware:Open GL: 29.46 fpsCPU: 280After SSD install and clean windows 10 install:Open GL: 46.68 fpsCPU: 276
Even GTA V was good with medium-high settings
April 9, 2016
This laptop has suited my need for a "cheap" budget friendly portable gaming machine. It's capable to run most games at half to full resolution, ranging from Medium to max settings. That claim also really depends on the game, but it can handle nearly anything at 30+ playable frame rates. Even GTA V was good with medium-high settings.. Older games like Battlefield BC2 will run on on max settings upward of 60fps. The most taxing game to run was fallout 4 which struggles around 30 to mid 20s in the open world. Its hard to find a new laptop packing the features for this price range ($500 at the time of purchase) that has a dedicated 940m 2Gb Nvidia chip, i5 5200u, and 1080p screen. All of these are nice to have for mid range performance. The battery life has also been decent ranging between 4-6 hours of continuous browsing, drawing, and movies. However in order to make this a decent laptop, it is an absolute must to install an SSD and re-install Windows. The included 1TB western digital drive pre-installed with Windows 10 and bloatware limit this laptops true responsive potential. Also, if anyone is wondering Windows 7 is supported. You just need to use drivers found on a similar spec laptop and everything works except for what I can guess is a TPM module in Windows 7, Something that can't be disabled in BIOS. Also at the time of this writing Linux is not very well supported.I can't find any bad complaints in the screen or trackpad like everyone has been griping about. They're good enough in my opinion and not at all distracting from the overall value. Yes there are better laptops out there with nicer screens for a higher price, but this is built to give you the best bang for your buck. The screen on this is crisp and the color vivid. After 1 1/2 months of using it everything is still holding together. Just make sure you take care of it.
Best Budget All-Around Laptop for 2016
March 16, 2016
*First off, get the Cotton White model, it's newer (Intel 6th gen) and definitely more of a premium look. This is a fantastic mid-range laptop. For the price, this laptop has specs in the range of high-end devices double its price. My experience with it has been fantastic. It's lightning quick with Windows 10, VERY QUIET and runs cool, and is amazing at gaming for the price.Pros:4 GB Video Memory will be able to run most modern games very well, and older games such as Skyrim at MaxPremium white look, and high-quality plastic feel (not cheap feeling)Keyboard is greatRuns quiet, even while gaming, and hasn't gotten hot, even on my lapVery speedy, no lag experienced yetVery lightweight and portableCons:Track pad could be betterLED Screen is average, not mind-blowing, but not bad eitherBattery life is a little less than expected, not terrible thoughI'm very happy with this purchase, and I'd recommend this computer to anyone looking for a high end device, but not wanting to spend the big dollars on a laptop that might not deliver anyways. If you're a gamer, look no further, this review is from a fellow gamer.Best All-Around Laptop of 2016, hands down.
Great Laptop, Read carefully before buying!!!
November 29, 2015
READ THIS BEFORE BUYING THIS LAPTOP!!!!!!!!It's an amazing laptop for the price (550 for me), however it has its pros and cons, you have to be willing to trade some features for anothers, this been said, here you go:Cons-Materials: It's NOT a 1000$ laptop, so you are NOT getting a 1000$ case!! If you expect so, then go away and buy a Alienware or ROG, this is a 600$ laptop intent to light gaming and daily duties... And please dont be that people that buy this laptop and keep complaining about its quality or sturdiness.however its perfectly fine for normal use, the keyboard and touchpad are a little loose when you press it, but again, not a dealbreaker for me, like i say, you have to trade a feature for another.-Touchpad: It's not a normal touchpad, is a "Precision touchpad", no that precise and configurable as i like, windows wont let you use the edge scrolling only two finger scrolling so get use to it.-NO DVD DRIVE (read carefully), it has not a optical drive in it, this laptop comes with a black tray, again not a dealbreaker for me, actually this was perfect for me because i replace the black tray with a 9.5mm WONENICE HDD CADDY and put in the 1tb drive in the slot (SATA 3GB/s), using my SSD in the main slot (SATA 6gb/s).PD: Dont worry about the front bezel, the black tray comes with a fully removable front bezel, so you take it out and attach to the HDD CADDY, remember to buy a 9.5mm caddy, cuz the 12.7mm wont fit in this laptop.PROS:-Perfectly match CPU and GPU for this price, Intel i7-5500u, Nvidia 940m... It took me about 2 weeks looking for the correct laptop, and at this price im more than happy with it. I could not find a better specs at 550$, in this price you can have a 6th generation SKYLAKE cpu with no GPU, IMHO always is better to have dedicate graphics, no matter the CPU have a 5% less performace, same thing with the HQ cpu's, obviously you get more horsepower but again at this price no gpu so....-Display: Again at this price i could not get a better specs, its a full-hp 1080p TN display, excellent display BTW, good no great view angles, good bright, good colors, no glare at all, great for gaming... for me and for the price is a perfect panel.. again, look and check for the price and you'll only find 768p displays.-Battery: great battery life with this 4-cell.. i get about 4-5 hours with medium load.. obviously gaming you get as much as 1 hour. however who plays in bat?? it is no logical thing to do.-Excellent electronic build quality: When i did the ssd-hdd switch (about 30 minutes after i got it) i took off the down cover exposing the motheboard, and what a pleasing surprise it has a excellent build quality!!!! 10 year long-lasting electronic, easily.-Temp: this topic amaze me more than it should!! the fan refuse to turn on even with 1080p video playback, temps in idle are 29-32 for CPU, with Nvidia optimus GPU wont turn on at least you open a game... while Playing (FC4, CODAW, ACU, WD) CPU temp stays at 70, GPU gets as high as 75. the chassis wont get hot at all and the fan is hard to tell its on with the game sounds and stuff.I think already talked a lot. so for conclusion, if you are a gamer and got a lot of money to invest go with a game-build laptop.. otherwise you want great overall performance for your money go with this one. i strongly recommend it.Final toughs:- Use an SSD with it. (boot time: 6sec- shutdown: 4sec)- Make a fresh windows install to remove all bloatware, dont worry about the windows 10 key, its embedded in the mobo so if you reinstall windows 10 HOME edition, no worries about the license, it not even ask for it.-put an addicional RAM stick, 4gb, 8gb, whatever but up to 16gb combine... this is to activate DUAL-CHANNEL access. its gets about 25% better performance.-it is pretty thin laptop, i love it.
Good Inexpensive Laptop
October 9, 2015
It's a pretty solid computer. A lot of people are complaining that the screen sucks, and ya, it's not "top of the line". but in all honesty I don't really have and issue with the screen I think it has good colors and decent viewing angles. It's a great looking machine and it's super light, and for a laptop that's only $600 it does pretty well while playing games. I think my only complaint is that it runs a little toasty and the fans are running a lot. But again, a $600 laptop. Either way I'm very happy with my purchase.
Great beginner gaming laptop! (Or if you are so adventurous as to try mobile PC gaming)
September 1, 2015
I actually understand that you really can't get away from mechanical hard drives at this price, but what you get for the price is amazing. This is very good beginner gaming laptop. With a nVidia 940, with 2gb vRam (4 if you get 17", or i7) it packs a punch. I was also pleasantly surprised that it did not burn my legs off why I was gaming on my lap. Something that can't be said about some HP Envy laptops with Radeon graphics of a similar caliber. It also appears that the absence of an optical drive leaves room for storage expansion, or indeed, an optical drive. (If I open it later, I will share my findings, hopefully with pictures or a video.)It must be said however, that in order for one to have a good experience with this machine, you MUST install a fresh image of Windows, which can be done with nothing more than a flash drive and Internet access. Just go online and type in Windows 10 media creation tool. Download and run it, install it to the flash drive. Once done, plug the flash drive into the laptop, and turn it on while spamming f2. The BIOS will come up and go over to boot, and reorder the boot order, putting the usb drive on the top. Save changes and restart. Now booting from usb, you can begin a custom install of Windows. Delete all partitions on the HDD, until they have all merged together into a single partition. Then click new, and follow the prompts. Once the computer restarts, spam f2 again, and in the BIOS, go all the way to the right, and reset to default, save/exit. You will be greeted with the Windows setup, and continue to install. Don't worry about the activation key, Windows will detect the internal key, and use it to activate the new copy of Windows. If you haven't already, you can disconnect the flash drive now. Also it should be noted: I will not deduct a star for this, but the speakers are absolute garbage. Although, this is the as with most laptops, these are particularity bad, again, it isn't a problem with me, as I primarily use headphones.I will have a YouTube video up soon about how to upgrade to an SSD in one of these laptops, the like will appear here when it is done.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pqyFS_z3LZoIn depth tutorial:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pBnyjvYppDoAll in all, this is a great option for those who want to get into PC gaming who want the portability of a laptop, without breaking the bank.

Great for the price
August 25, 2017
I especially like the roominess of this laptop bag. It fits a 15.6" laptop, mouse, and power adapter, leaving room for lots more. And yet, it doesn't seem over-large. I have another laptop bag that is more of a sleeve which I would not buy again. A laptop bag is useless if it doesn't allow room to carry at least the power cord. The quality of this bag seems good for the occasional user. I don't travel with my laptop a lot but need a decent bag for it when I do. I wish it came in other colors, though.
great bag for you 17"+ laptop and can be used as a briefcase att he same time
July 1, 2017
This bag is rather inexpensive but is really well made. It has several pockets with the middle one opening up to put the laptop down into with a fabric lining on ether side which separates the laptop from items you can put in on either side of it. The handle and straps and very strong and you can rest assured that it wont rip and no one will just be able to pull it away from you in hopes the handles, strap or material will give way. This will definitely work for a long time - or can do until you have enough money to get a really expensive one. All black allows anyone to use it and it would go from casual to professional.
My favorite computer bag for my Surface 3
November 8, 2016
I have a Microsoft Surface 3, and I was using an old ipad case that had only handles. I wanted to add a shoulder strap, so I found this case. It was inexpensive and had handles AND a strap. When I received it, I was pleasantly surprised. The inside has a 3 compartments....the middle for my computer and two others to separate papers or other items from the computer. It also has a front zippered pocket for small thing and a larger zippered area for larger things. This is my favorite computer bag, and I especially like that I can carry it hands-free too. I highly recommend it!
Great for Dell XPS 13!
February 8, 2016
I purchased this laptop bag for my Dell XPS 13 for transport purchase and not for the purpose of protecting the laptop from a high-altitude drop. As such, I cannot attest for that purpose. There are three zippered pockets for this bag. The main opening on the top of the bag is secured by double zippers, the other two openings on the front of the bag are secured by single zippers. Inside the main opening a laptop fits neatly into the middle and it has side pockets on either side which could be used for flat objects. I am not using these pockets for anything. The next opening on the front is where I keep my main accessories. Inside this opening there are three open pockets on the side closest to the laptop. This is where I keep my bluetooth mouse, the AC power cord, and the power brick. In front of the three pockets is a larger pocket, this is where I keep my cables, currently, and miniHD to HDMI cable, a USB to mini-USB cable and some earbuds. At the very front of the bag is the smaller zippered opening which is currently used to carry the over-the-shoulder strap that comes with the bag. The bag is of very good quality with adequate stitching. At top are two handstraps situated on either side of the main opening which appear to be strongly attached to provide secure carrying when loaded with laptop and accessories. The bag works really well for the Dell XPS 13 and I strongly recommend it for that other similar sized ( 8"x12"x11/16") laptops or notebooks.
The best laptop bag I've ever seen or owned
January 13, 2016
This bag is wonderful and seems to be well made. The little pocket in the front is perfect for chargers or various electronic products (it is nice and roomy). The second pocket in the front has pockets on the interior wall (that seem to be the same size) that allow you to place a phone, headphones, plugs, a small external hard drive, batteries, etc, inside and keep them nice and organized (this pocket is also roomy so you definitely could place a decent sized novel inside it. Then the main pocket has a pocket on the exterior wall (that would be nice for an ebook reader or small tablet), the main compartment (that can fit 3-7 legal sized notepads... this depends on the depth of your computer of course), and there is a nice pocket on the interior wall of the main compartment that fits my 13.3 macbook pro with retina display [early 2015] perfectly.... if your computer is thicker, you might want to put the notebooks in the interior pocket and the computer in the main compartment. Basically, this bag is perfect to carry all your stuff (besides just your computer and technology). This bag also comes with a nice shoulder strap which helps immensely when carrying this around, I've literally filled this thing to capacity (over 40 pounds) and this bag held up all day [12 hours] and the shoulder strap made it a lot less painful to carry around. This bag is a wonderful carry on for airplanes. The fabric on the front of the bag is stain-proof (to coffee, tea, ink)... but that may be due to the fact that it is black. I love this bag because everything inside it feels protected... it is awesome.
Little bag that could
August 15, 2015
I bought this bag for my Acer C720P Chromebook (11.6-Inch Touchscreen, 2GB) Moonstone White, which replaced a sluggish ASUS TF700 and an even slower Dell Inspiron N4010. The Chromebook fits perfectly.PROS-Very lightLittle pocket holds power bank and walletMedium pocket holds 2 piece charging cord, flash drives and necessary cords for my phoneFits Chromebook VERY well. The backside can hold a phone case belt clip, which is great for when I try to hold everything together.Large pocket has two dividers, and I use one pocket for my Chromebook and the others for my notebooks. The amazing price (when compared to similar bags).Looks greatZippers are really high qualityCON-Not a big fan of the shoulder strap, so I just used the handles instead.Other thoughts-I'm planning to buy another soon for my mom's HP Stream 11.Nothing else compares to this bagAmazonBasics is a really good brand

Good Laptop, Good Price
July 6, 2016
It's a great laptop for the price. I ordered the 15.6 inch, i5 core version, and it is worth the price. A couple of this to know going in though. First it would be best to do a fresh install of Windows 10. It gets rid of a lot of the pre-installed software. Especially McAfee Security suite. I mean its great to have a anti-virus and firewall installed, but there are better options. Also if you try to uninstall it it will ruin the OS. I uninstalled it and had to do a system restore right away to get to Windows 10 to startup again. So, follow the instructions online to install a clean copy of Windows from a USB drive. The product key for Windows is hard coded into the laptop's motherboard so there is no need for a new key. If that is too much work you can use simple small programs like PC Decrapifier, or PC Slimmer that other reviews for this laptop have recommended to get rid of them quickly, and easily. Now, also be aware that Windows 10 is vary open when it comes to your privacy. It loves to send data back to Microsoft to tailor Cortana and the live tiles to what you do online and off. So if you want limit the amount of data that Windows 10 sends out download Spybot Antibeacon to help with that. Now on to hardware. The display is nice bright, sharp, and clean. Videos look great and wonderful, although it dose not come with any kind of optical drive. So unfortunately you won't be watching your Blu-ray movies right away. you will need to purchase a separate drive either one that you can install into the laptop or a external drive. It does have an expansion slot for a drive, but a lot of people are using it to install a second SSD drive to speed up performance, which a great idea. Installing a SSD drive as well as expanding the memory to 16 GB make the this laptop really fly. So go external unless you don't want to have an external drive laying around. The mouse touch pad is okay. I would recommend a wireless mouse if you can use one. the pad can be a little to sensitive and make the cursor fly across the screen. Plus it dose not always register your clicks on the pad. Sound is gonna be hit or miss, and here's why. Now the laptop has good speakers, but they made a strange choice of putting the speakers in the bottom of the laptop instead of on top like most laptops. Now that's probably a design choice to fit everything into it, but it dose make the sound quality suffer. So either use some good headphones, or use some nice blue tooth speakers. The keyboard feels good to me. Nice short clickey keys and its a almost a full keyboard with only a few keys needing to use the Function key to get to work. Some people have said that they feel a little cheap, but like I said they feel great to me. Games run pretty well on this you have a 4 GB Nvidia GForce 940m video card which can handle a good number or game running at medium to high settings. I have read that it can run Skyrim on medium setting pretty well. The video card also has the ability to switch to the on board intel video output when your not playing games. This is great because it saves battery power when your just doing normal things like surfing the net or watching videos. Speaking of the battery its an okay battery life for the price. under normal use you will get 3 to 4 hours of battery life on a full charge. Playing games or doing more processor heavy things like video editing or capturing, it drops to 1 to 1.5 hours of battery life with a full charge. The laptop is a comfortable weight its not to heavy nor to light, and it dose not generate to much heat when in use. So for those of you who like to work with a laptop on your lap well, this is a nice comfy laptop that won't get to annoying or hot on your legs. Overall this is a great laptop play games and work with for what your paying. Some of the recommendations other reviewers are saying to do to get full advantage of the laptop are great suggestions to do. I have done a lot of them and its made this laptop really worth the money.
Great Purchase for the Gamer on a Budget!
June 11, 2016
Purchased this laptop for gaming, primarily. Overall it's definitely one of the better laptops I've had, so here's my breakdown of what I've experienced:PROS:>The price! Honestly, I couldn't believe I could get a gaming laptop this cheap. I'm on a budget and didn't want to spend too much on a piece of technology that would be obsolete in a few years, and this was in the right price range. Definitely a good spend if you're wanting to game yet not wanting to break the bank.>Great for online gaming. I primarily play Star Wars: The Old Republic and Overwatch, and I'm able to play both games with ease. I've played SWTOR on high settings, no problem. I've done Overwatch on low settings (yet to try it on anything higher), but the low graphics still look good and there's no lag with either game. Video card is great and provides a good MMO gaming experience for me.>Laptop is nice and lightweight. I have a hernia, so it's difficult for me to carry heavy things, and my other laptops I've had in the past have been rather heavy. This is easy to carry and transport from place to place.>So far, no issue with the OS and apps. The bloatware was a little annoying at first, but it didn't take long to uninstall and once that was gone, it ran smoothly. It's far faster than my desktop, and with two large games and a handful of apps, I'm not noticing any lag on my system yet.CONCERNS:>The casing on the laptop itself feels a little fragile. I once had a laptop like this that eventually cracked, and I'm concerned that this will happen on the Acer. I feel like I need to be extra careful with it.>Starting it up. Going through the initial start up process of setting up your laptop, etc., can take a little time. It took me almost an hour. Once you get past the bloatware and set up process, though, it's a breeze.> The track pad. It's not the best I've worked with and doesn't seem to be as sensitive as I'd like it to be, but it's not a deal breaker. I just plug in a mouse and I'm all set.All in all, a good purchase. I'm quite happy with it and know I'll get a lot of usage out of it for the next few years! Highly recommend for the budget-conscious gamer.EDIT: I tried some more games on this in case you're wondering if it works on other games.Overwatch- works great, no lagStar Wars: The Old Republic- works great, even on high settings.Lord of the Rings: Online- works good, but there is sometimes lag (I don't believe this is the computer, though, and many of my kinmates have the same issue with their computers.)Star Trek: Online - STO is able to run, but I had to adjust the settings. No lag issues, but the game wouldn't load for me without the adjustments. Not sure if it's a Windows 10 thing or not...Portal (downloaded from Steam) - works greatMass Effect 2 (downloaded from Steam) - works greatThe Sims 4 - works greatThe Sims 3 - works, but so much lag it's barely playable. I'm thinking it's a Windows 10 issue?Final Fantasy 14 - works greatGuild Wars 2 - works great
Good for the price

Good for the price, will play a lot of new games on lowest settings. No cd/dvd drive remember that if you are planning on buying hard copies of software
It does boot up pretty quickly and there is the typical bloatware
February 13, 2016
I just received this yesterday and got it up and running today. I added 8 GB of RAM. I haven't done a clean install of windows 10 yet (i can't find the memory stick I planned to use!) and I haven't debloated. I wanted to see how it runs out of the box. I have been using a Macbook for the last 6 years and only have a small bit of Windows experience during this time.It does boot up pretty quickly and there is the typical bloatware. It's pretty light weight and thin. The shell is plastic with a linen like texture. The display seems very washed out. I'm not sure if this is just because I am used to my Macbook. The Mac does not have full HD but the display is crisp and has a depth that the Acer lacks.I have also had a lot of buffering issues and stuttering in videos. Nothing too taxing, just watching a embedded videos or ar non HD YouTube. This has me rather disappointed. Perhaps doing a clean install will solve this.It still seems like a lot of bang for the buck. I personally don't know if I could stand the display. But this is for my son and hopefully he will be OK with it.
Great Value, only hindered by a slow hard drive
February 12, 2016
Great Value, only hindered by a slow hard drive - Get yourself an SSD!!!This is probably one of the best deals on a 15.6 inch laptop with two graphics cards and full 1080p out there! The only problem I found, out of the box, is that the stock spinning hard drive is a huge bottleneck in terms of preventing this laptop from reaching it's full speed potential.I did what so many others in the reviews have done and installed an SSD. Just know that YOU DO NOT HAVE TO REMOVE THE BOTTOM COVER TO INSTALL AN SSD. Instead, use the open DVD drive bay since the SATA port runs at the same speed as the SATA port that the internal hard drive is connected to - both are SATA III running at 6gb/s.A new SSD and drive caddy added about $75.00 to the cost - still a great value with all other features included. Before you erase the stock Windows installation, go to Acer's site and download and install the latest BIOS firmware to guarantee that the Windows 10 installation flash drive will boot properly.1. Download Windows 10 Home 64-bit and create a bootable Windows 10 installation flash drive. Use this tool to erase the existing hard drive.2. Get yourself an SSD. I got a Sandisk 240GB SSD and Windows 10 boots in 10 seconds flat.3. Get a 9.5mm caddy - I got this one - Protronix SATA Optical Bay 2nd Hard Drive Caddy, Universal for 9.5mm CD / DVD Drive Slot - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004XIUQYA?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s004. Remove 1 screw underneath to pull out the empty drive bay.5. Gently remove the faceplate off the empty drive bay and replace the faceplate on the new caddy with it.6. Remove the back bracket (for the single screw you removed earlier) from the empty drive bay and attach it to your new caddy.7. Install the new SSD into the new caddy and insert the new caddy into your laptop's open drive bay and screw back the single screw you removed earlier.8. Boot from the Windows 10 install flash drive, erase the stock, internal hard drive, should be Disk 0 (re-format it), install Windows 10 to the new SSD - should be Disk 1. You don't need a Windows product key.9. After Windows 10 installs, let it find and install all hardware drivers (you won't need to get any drivers from Acer's site).10. Once Windows finds and installs all drivers - may take several reboots to get them all - you should be all set with a clean and speedy system with no Acer bloatware. With the SSD installed in the DVD drive bay as the bootable drive, the system is speedy and works fantastic. I use the internal spinning hard drive for data and use the new SSD for Windows and applications.I'm giving this laptop 4 stars because in 2016, it probably could have just come with an SSD installed. I would have paid an extra $130 if it came with a 500GB SSD instead of the slow 1TB spinning drive.
have realistic expectations and this computer will treat you well.
November 26, 2015
This computer gets a 4 out of 5 from me. I went in knowing its not going to run games on high settings so as it sits, i would give it 5 out of 5 for being what i expected as far as hardware.Biggest flaw in my opinion is that it gets pegged as a gaming computer. Not that it can not run games but anyone who is an avid gamer knows that WASD is the most frequent position of the left hand while in game. The touch pad size, larger than any other laptop i have had, is fine but poorly placed. Where my thumb and palm come together, i have issues where this part of my hand is CONSTANTLY hitting the touch pad. This causes the mouse to move, which at times is VERY annoying. If they could have centered it to the laptops size rther than the typing part of the keyboard it would be a non-issue.Most frustrating thing about the ACER E5... Numlock! I have never had a computer that resets numlock every time the computer is shut down or rebooted. Evidently there is a fix for this that requires you to make changes in the registry. This could be a daunting task for anyone not used to digging around in there. All in all i gave this computer a 4 out of 5. As i said, it preforms as expected, as long as your expectations are realistic, but has just enough of a draw back, for me, to take one star away.

Great, simple bag with one issue
July 17, 2017
This is a great bag for a smaller laptop. It holds the laptop, charger, bluetooth mouse and a myfi without feeling bulky and getting excessively large. My only issue is that the rear suitcase strap is just slightly too small to fit over the handle of a rolling suitcase, same for the hand straps on top. You can work it on to the suitcase but it is not a quick procedure and I worry I'm going to tear the bag in the process. Beyond this minor annoyance, I have been very pleased with the purchase.
15" laptop and more fits well.
June 14, 2017
Perfect for my needs. My 15" laptop fits perfectly, plus I even had room for the Officemate Slim Clipboard Storage Box, Charcoal (83303). There is also a handy internal pocket for files, and two other compartments for office supplies. The material seems to be hardy and the workmanship is fine. The only thing that would have made it better would have been an additional pocket on the backside.
Nice little bag.
April 14, 2017
This is a nice laptop bag that is just the right size for my 11 inch laptop. It has a couple of extra pockets to store things and a nice handle. The only small issue I have is that it bulges a bit when I try to put the power adapter in the front pocket, but that's not too big an issue. If you are looking for a small bag to protect or carry your laptop, this one seems to be a good deal. Some people have reported issues with the shoulder strap. I don't use it so I can't comment much on that.
Basic but solid, attractive, and trim - a good buy
July 13, 2015
I'd say this one fits the "Basics" moniker very well, for better and for worse (though the worse isn't so bad at all).I've been using this for a few months now, and it has been holding up perfectly well. Construction seems very solid all around, padding is minimal but firm and sufficient, straps seem durable. Lots of different pockets on the inside (including three interior pockets in the larger front compartment, as per the photo) and three separate compartments overall, so there are many ways to separate your stuff and room for all the essentials. The overall look is trim and attractive, the zippers and smooth and seem sturdy, and it's a nice light weight.Downsides? No dealbreakers, just lack of refinements or niceties. There are no feet on the bottom of the case, so it's just resting on the same material as the rest of the exterior. So far it's holding up fine, but it is more slippery than rubber feet would be, so it tends to slide down and lay flat on its back if you rest it at an angle. The relatively narrow thickness of the case magnifies this effect. The shoulder strap seems fine, but the plastic hooks at either end don't rotate quite as smoothly as metal would, so the strap tends to get twisted pretty easily. The interior fabric has held up well for me, but it is fairly thin and makes a bit of a pronounced crinkly sound when you access the interior pockets. The aforementioned relative thinness of the case back to front does limit what you can stuff into the bag - I've had a laptop, file folder, phone/wallet/etc, and not overly thick book all layered inside, and that fills up its thickness pretty well. Definitely on the narrow side of cases, but then again that's part of why I bought it. Wanted something trim and efficient, not heavy and bulky.Overall, very satisfied with it and glad I got it. If I could change one thing, it would be to have rubber feet or some other kind of protective traction on the bottom. Apart from that, the "basics" in this bag are acceptable and make it a great deal.
SMALL BUT SPACIOUS
January 18, 2015
I just got my bag this morning and it seems to be pretty great so far. the bag has one large pocket with 3 dividers that got long ways, which are perfect for my 2 kindle fires, and my other larger tablet. the middle zipper pocket is perfect for smaller things. i use the middle pocket for my wifi hot spot and power bank. it has 2 sleeves which fit them both perfectly. you can also fit an additional smaller tablet or android in there too if you wanted. the last and smallest pocket is good for wires and pens, not much else. All in all if your looking for a smaller travel bag for your tablet or kindle, then this bag will probaly work for you. just make sure you know what size screen you have before you but this. the title says laptop, but i think its more of a tablet bag . a small thin laptop will fit but the battery charger might not.
Nice bag at a nice price.... If you're not picky.
January 26, 2012
This is a nice quality bag at a cheap price. The only thing I didn't really like were the rubber grip zippers with the Amazon Basics logos on them. It would have looked a little more professional without that and I'm curious to see the durability of the rubber grips versus a conventional full-metal zipper grip. I read other reviews complaining of a "chemical" smell but I think they have probably never smelled neoprene before. Some people were also complaining about it being a little over-sized for the iPad but I disagree. This is not an iPad case, it's universal netbook case. I think it's a nice size, especially if you have a case on your iPad as well. You can also fit a few accessories in the separate front pocket without worry about it scratching up your device.

When I first got this computer I was hyped. ...
August 27, 2017
When I first got this computer I was hyped. The computer does what it advertises, but I find that the 940m is not powerful enough for many games out there. I would suggest investing the 700 dollars into building a desktop. For only 400 dollars I could build a computer with more graphical capability than this. Trust me on this.
Buyer beware
May 6, 2017
Great computer but be careful when ordering this one. The description is is almost indentical to the model that's a hundred more. I thought was ordering the one with a disc drive and more battery. The mode numbers are so close. Anyways for what it is it's good but buyer beware I am still not sure I am keeping it.
Slow to start, a few errors, good to play games on.
September 6, 2016
I got this computer for my husband, who is going away for a few months and needed a new laptop capable of playing some of the computer games he likes in order to keep from being overcome with boredom on his trip. We decided to get this laptop because we liked the specs. My husband is also a fan of Nvidia graphics cards, so that was a plus. My husband plays DOTA2, Overwatch, etc. So far, all of those have been able to run with no lag or other problems. Here are the problems: this computer are that it is extremely slow to start. It takes a lot longer to start than even our old, one-foot-in-the-grave laptop that is 6 years old. Some of the things that come with the laptop are kind of annoying. The constant popups to install Office, etc. Granted, you can get rid of a lot of the annoyances, but it's still time consuming and a bit of a pain in the butt. We have also been getting the "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered" error a lot. Once again, a major pain in the butt, especially considering this is a brand new laptop.
Does not come with copy of Win10 OS.
August 10, 2016
I am locked out of this computer due to the Windows 10 that is installed and it did mot cone with a Windows 10 OS. Before I was locked out, I cobstantly got error messages about Windows 8 (!?). I dont know what that was about. It was brand new and supposedly had W10. I am only using my trusty Amazon Fire at this time until I figure out a way to log in. Quite dissapointing. It was okay other than that.
I recommend against gaming hardcore as the processing and graphics won’t ...
April 26, 2016
Runs fairly well as a general use computer for school work and streaming videos. Although the windows 10 software always causes running problems with some of the software I had to download from my previous one computer. I recommend against gaming hardcore as the processing and graphics won’t accommodate with the massive load, but the computer is strong enough to play on minimum settings. Overall the computer runs great for average users, if you’re looking for a faster running and more powerful system your price roof will have to rise
Laptop is mostly fine, quality assurance is not!
February 28, 2016
The Laptop is fine, save for the fact that I have had issues with the HDD, both in read times and one occasion not being recognized as a bootable device. Secondly, and this is just egregious.... THERE ARE 4 SCREWS JUST MISSING FROM THE CASE! The entire left side almost has nothing securing the keyboard plate to the base plate!

Looks good but defect in Manufactureing
August 15, 2017
I like the design of this bag and the size is what I expected. It "appears" that it is sturdy however the one I received had a problem with the stitching. The inside flap appears to have been cut a bit short so it did not catch the stitching an came open. Fortunately it was easy to return and I will try again to see if I can get a good one and update the review appropriately.
It's OK.
May 17, 2017
It fits my Lenovo chromebook fine, but it's a tight fit to include much more than a bullet journal and a few pens with the chromebook n the bag. Keeping the charger and a mouse is too much in the bag.Other reviewers also complain about the strap hooks coming undone when used. I confirm the strap hooks do come undone, but I don't know how it happens. Happened three times to me since I started using it, and now pieces of black tape over the hooks have kept it together.
Perfectly good back depending on your needs.
March 29, 2017
Very basic bag, gets the job done. No complaints, but I would recommend something sturdier for heavier devices, as it's not very well padded and if care isn't taken you could damage a device. Not recommended if you're prone to drops, bumping or accidents. But does the job fine if you simple need something to carry a laptop or large tablet around in.
Good bag for the price, does not fit ASUS ROG G752.
January 10, 2017
As a bag, it's kind of cheap but it gets the job done. Has space for your cords and such, and if your laptop doesn't have a massive vent off of the back, I'm pretty sure you'll have plenty of space. For my laptop, the ASUS ROG G752, it doesn't fit. If the bag was a half inch taller, it would fit perfectly, albeit with a bit of convincing from the zipper. As it is, it's barely too small. If you're looking for something that'll get your laptop from the dorm to the classroom, this bag will do you fine. If you have a big and proud gaming laptop that you want to protect for cheap, just get a sleeve instead. Arvok's 17.3 inch sleeve fits my PC perfectly and has the padding to protect it to and from robotics meetings and LAN parties, for any fellow G752 owners out there.
Nice bag but strap can unclip!
August 17, 2016
The Bad:As a few other reviewers mentioned, the shoulder strap WILL unclip when just the right orientation of the clip hook to the bail it attaches to occurs. What happens is that the clip hook doesn't always swivel freely, especially if the strap has twisted itself across the side of the bag. When you lift it up, the clip doesn't swivel and all the weight of the bag deflects the flexible part of the clip sideways, out of the hook body and the hook pops off of the bail. I think the only way to fix this would be with a metal clip body. You can avoid this if you wiggle the strap a bit before you pick up the bag to make sure the strap extends straight up and the clips aren't jacked sideways.A smaller issue is that the length of the strap material is such that the adjustment slider is in the exact spot you would want the should pad to be when set to the average person's size. The Good:This is a really nice bag for $14. I got the 11" version and it feels durable and well padded. The padding seems fine for the weight of a typical 11" Chromebook but I suspect there is too little in the corners for larger, heavier laptops. The zippers seem tough and the straps are well sewn and durable. The pockets are nice though it's too bad the pocket that has the sleeves for a wallet, pens, etc. is also the only pocket big enough for a power supply. So you can't easily get at your pens, etc. if the power supply is in there. All in all, a really nice bag. I would say it can't be touched for under $20
Good Price at low protection
March 19, 2014
I bought this bag for a Lenovo 14" flex, but it is an exact tight fit, the zippers would scratch the corners or the wide side up if you are not careful, the Lenovo 14" flex's four corners are way up to the edge of each corner of the bag. But it is good for the 14" size Asus laptop, since it's 1/2 inch smaller than the 14" Lenovo. the bag is not really padded compared to other ones I have. So you would rather pay more and get another bag where you can transport your laptop with extra dropping protection.I'm giving the 3 star rating based on the poor padding issue

Legitimately had a faster laptop from the 90s
May 4, 2017
On paper, this laptop is great. It's got all the right components to game decently (Especially if you like playing the oldies, like AoEII and the like), it's got a massive display, and a lot of space. The card and CPU are actually great for this price point. The problem is when it's in practice. This laptop is extremely slow. The only things I have on it are Steam, MS Office, and Malware Bytes. I haven't even used up a quarter of the space on the thing. But it runs very, very slowly. The reason for this is there's legitimately dozens of Acer background programs constantly running and hogging up memory. It's actually made this laptop unworkably slow. I've run disk clean up multiple times, I use CCleaner daily, and I'm constantly removing extra hanging on junk, and it doesn't do it. I'm about to go to town on every program labeled "Acer" next to see if I can try and make this laptop usable. In conclusion, excellent components for the cost, but unworkably slow and not for any particular one reason, just a lot of pre-installed background garbage courtesy of the manufacturer. This was my first and definitely last Acer purchase.
Cheap plastic junk with decent specs and a stupid stupid stupid stupid mechanical HDD
February 13, 2017
Made of cheap plastic, doesn't feel solid at all. Hard drive predictably bit the dust after a few months (what kind of idiots are still putting mechanical hard drives in laptops?). Probably fine for people who don't actually travel with their laptops, but if that's the case you can get a way better desktop for this much money.Back plate is attached by about 400 screws, and getting in to repair it was a nightmare. Fan sounded like a hovercraft after reattaching it. It probably didn't re-seat correctly because of all the plastic crap that was snapping off when I had to yank the back plate. Motherboard died in less than a year. It also comes with no way for you to reinstall your OS and drivers when the hard drive does crap out. It's a junk laptop, but I guess they had to cut some corners to offer those specs at that price. In the end, I salvaged an 8GB stick of RAM from it. Thanks for the memories Acer. All 8GB of them.

I was due for a laptop. I bought my first laptop in 09 and it's barely hanging on. This laptop offers more than I need. I'll be using it for college and office work. So far so good.Update : Feb 5 2017Having issues with the laptop , turns on you stare at a balck screen for 10 minutes. Then you start to get annoyed and have to turn it off and back on. Evey other day it has been doing this to me. My friend has to change the hard drive.
4 month after purchase, hard drive is going bad. Acer service support is marginally acceptable.
November 3, 2016
After 4 months of barely using this laptop, the hard drive starting making intermittent grinding noise. System locked up and after forcing power cycle, system report hard drive error. Was able to bring laptop back up but still hearing grinding noise. I called Acer to have it repaired, since it is within the 1 year warranty. They had me reset the system via the small hole on the back of the laptop and then wanted me to call back when things had a problem again. I insisted they provide a warranty repair now rather than waiting again, since you cant remotely fix a failing hard drive. The customer service rep was a bit rude, but reluctantly provided return information and said I would get return label emailed to me within 24 hours. After 48 hours, no return label, called back and new customer service rep indicated my warranty repair does not cover shipment to them. But since it was promised to me, they would provide it. 24 hours later, received shipping label with my name mis-spelled and my city incorrect. Zip code is correct and my contact information is correct on the return information from Acer. Tracked package back to factory. Took 6 days in shipment and received email that Acer received package. They have had laptop for 3 days and no further communication.
Great Performance, Trade-off BAD QUALITY.
March 23, 2016
Pros:- Great specs at this price range Like:* i5 6th generation* HD display* 8 GB Ram* Nivida Video Card* 1 TB HDCons:* VERY cheap plastic casing* Screen can be better for an HD screen* Trackpad needs some re-visioningAlso the text seems small and blurry when I first started up this PC. Some tips - make sure to enable ClearText, change your screen DPI to 100% instead of the recommended 125%. The text will be small but you will not have blurry icons/windows/images.For apps like Photoshop/Google Chrome make sure you go to NIVIDA control panel and select NIVIDA Video for these apps it will help with performance.Overall it's a great laptop, at first I didn't like the plastic casing but I like the benefit of how light the laptop is so it's a trade off. Acer has some extreme quality issues. They should invest in better construction/casing for sure. Even the "ACER" logo is a sticker. This could be a nice chrome or something! Lastly, my laptop came with a hairline crack on the bottom casing. Amazon gave me a discount to keep the item as it didn't effect the overall performance of the device (which it's a great performing laptop). I rated it two stars because the quality is very poor, otherwise if it was better quality I would have rated it 4-5 stars.
Update: GPU failed
March 19, 2016
UPDATE: A month after purchasing this laptop, the NVidia GPU failed. Hopefully a replacement won't have the same problem.I've experienced the same cons as other reviewers. Very short battery life, terrible trackpad, and mediocre speakers. That said... I have a gaming mouse, plug it in when I intend to game on it, and often use headphones, meaning none of these things are an issue for me.I'm not going to lie, it won't give you 60 FPS on ultra on every game. It doesn't quite have the power. But if you're like me and looking for a way to get into your MMO's or BF4 or something while you're away from home, and you're willing to turn down your settings a bit in games like Witcher and Ark, then this is an excellent laptop for the price.

11.6 inch looks like a murse
July 28, 2017
I was looking for a bag that could hold my tablet, some papers and some office supply so I didn't have to lug my larger bag that I use for my laptop. I bought the small and it was way too small - not that everything didn't fit, it just looked like a "murse" (man purse). I'm going to try the larger size and see if it's a bit more masculine.
It'[s just a darned good thing that the laptop isn't 15
June 26, 2017
It'[s just a darned good thing that the laptop isn't 15.7 - instead of 15.6". It BARELY fits and does not have near the padding that a bit more expensive case has. I'll keep it for 14" and do as I normally do ... put craft-store flat foam (e.g. seat cushion) inside as well. I'm keeping them; but reluctantly.... Just don't have the desire to 'fight yet something else in life'.
Basic laptop bag, problems with the strap hardware. Only lasted me 6 months.
November 15, 2015
Editing my comment 6 months in. The bag works well, but I have had one glaring problem with it. The clip for the bag's strap cut a hole in the bag's fabric. This hole exposes the laptop compartment to air, moisture, all the things I want the bag to protect it from. This is an inexpensive bag, I wasn't expecting it to last forever. I was hoping to get more than 6 months out of it, and I am particularly annoyed that the bag's own hardware caused the hole the in bag. This is why I'm bringing my rating down to 2 stars. My original 4-star review, written when I'd been using the bag for less than a week, follows:This is a good quality bag, with padding to protect a laptop. This has enough pockets and room to carry your everyday items without being bulky. (I can carry a large file folder, a pencil case, a pad, and some cables/plugs etc, along with a 15" laptop.) I've only had it a few days now, so I can't speak to its long-term durability. But it feels solid and well-constructed. The padded shoulder strap and handles are a nice touch. There are two things I wish were a little different. One, I wish the laptop section were separate from the main section. The whole compartment is padded, but anything in that compartment can bang against the laptop. (The very delicate retina displays on current Mac laptops make me worried about this.) Two, I wish the bag had one or two outside pockets for storing an umbrella and water bottle. Those are two everyday items I often want to carry with me. Aside from that, I'm happy with this bag.
Unexpected good quality. Absolutely sufficient quality. / Good for 2 months. Shoulder pad broken.
October 18, 2015
I own about a dozen laptop and tablet bags, including some name brands. This is the first AmazonBasics I have ever bought. I hesitated because some reviewers complained about insufficient padding. Since it is so inexpensive, I decided to give it a try.Surprisingly, the padding is not thin at all. It is actually among the best in its category. I own virtually every kind of laptop bags. Only suitcase style laptop cases have thicker padding than this, if you don't mind carrying that weight.I am very satisfied. I am sure I will buy more AmaxonBasics products in the future.Update on 1/2/2016Downgraded from 5 stars. The shoulder pad is broken. The shoulder pad is designed to have problem. The cloth on one side is too thin. The strap keeps cutting the edges of the curved pad In only a little more than two months, the pad is broken.
Okay at carrying laptops, horrible at protecting them.
August 27, 2015
I got this for my Lenovo Yoga 3 14". It fit the laptop and a few accessories very well. The shoulder pad is clunky and poorly designed so I got rid of it. The clips are also a little awkward, and were partially responsible for the accident that broke my laptop screen.I was reaching to adjust the clip while the bag was on my shoulder. The clip had twisted upside down. It came undone after very little pressure and the bag fell from my shoulder. It landed on fairly soft dirt, but the bag has almost no padding--particularly on the corners. It fell not very far, and I assumed it was fine. However when I got to work and pulled it out the corner of my touchscreen had cracked pretty badly. The bag is pretty good for carrying if you are careful of the clips, and it is a good slim size. However it is not helpful for protecting your laptop.
Beware of unpadded bottom corners and releasing strap clips
March 16, 2015
This bag has two significant problems that really should be addressed.Firstly, the padding is insufficient in the bottom corners. There is enough padding at the bottom and sides, but almost no padding at the corners, which are the most vulnerable points on your laptop.Secondly, the shoulder strap attaches to the bag with two plastic clips, and they can let go when least expected, especially when the strap was a little twisted before picking it up. This has happened to me on multiple occasions. The combination of these two problems has led to my laptop suffering corner damage from falling onto pavement when I picked up my bag by the strap, and it decided to let go.If you have a nice laptop, this is an accident waiting to happen.

screen failure after a year and a half
August 12, 2017
worked fine for a year and a half. the screen is going out now. expected this to last longer than a year and a half. very dissapointing,
Acer costumer service is plain poor.
March 24, 2017
I would say my general experience with acer is very traumatic. The laptop stopped working within 6 months or so, sent for repair, upon delivery the "repaired" laptop was signed by a random person and stolen. Acer were the only ones that can file a claim with FedEx, however they refused to do so since it was "signed and delivered". Then they just refuse to help. Laptops from Acer...never again.
So full of junk it is unusable
November 6, 2016
I can't tell you how much I regret buying this. Presumably to keep the cost down, Acer has pre-loaded this with so many free trials and third-party utilities that the laptop is essentially unusable. Even after turning everything I can off, I still find conflicting anti-virus products that I never wanted eating up performance, like zombies back from the dead.If you get this, you need a plan to completely wipe it the moment it arrives and start over--otherwise you will have the same experience I do. Several minutes to start up, several minutes to open up Internet Explorer, 75% degradation in usable bandwidth, and so on.Spend the extra $100 to buy from a more reputable manufacturer.
Broken Down THREE TIMES in a YEAR (please read before purchase)
November 1, 2016
I bought this laptop a year ago this month. I was actually saving for a car when I had to buy a laptop due to being in a programming class. That being said I depend heavily on this laptop and I can honestly say it is one of the most unreliable things I ever purchased. I bought it because it looked good, I'm pretty well informed on what makes up a good computer and this one was good for the price and a good beginner gaming laptop. I chose this over the Toshiba. A big mistake on my part. Two months after having it, it stopped working. Just shut down. I'm by no means rough with this laptop because I literally cannot afford another. That is not an exaggeration, I'm just that broke, college does that to you though I guess I was that broke before too. Anyway, I tried everything to get it to turn on, other Acer chargers to make sure it wasn't mine and to even try to boot it in safety mode. No go. Nothing clicked and I had a 600 dollar brick. I sent it in (your pay for shipping btw) and they were quick and got it back to me. The motherboard had gone out and that should have been a good clue I should've fought to return this.Skip forward a couple months and everything is going fine but it suddenly starts to freeze. While playing League of Legends, one of least demanding games. It would play Overwatch just fine but League? Best be ready to pay the time penalty. It was frustrating but I tried to work around it. I did everything I could to try to figure out why it was freezing, uninstalling LOL, booting it in safety mode, scanning for viruses, etc. My boyfriend looked at it too and couldn't figure out what was up. It progressively got worse. It would start to freeze just typing an essay. It went down hill from there and so again I sent it in. They reinstalled Windows 10 on it and boom fixed.Bad part? I literally got it back two weeks ago and last week it stopped working again. I went to a play that my university hosted and when I got back to my room, about to play some LoL, my computer wouldn't turn on. It didn't beep. Nothing. I tried many chargers. Still nothing. When I say I busted into tears I'm not kidding. This thing has caused me so much stress when it was suppose to eliminate a lot of it. I had homework assignments due the next day on it and it won't turn on. I have a 600 dollar brick. Maybe I got a lemon. Maybe but three times in the past year? My warranty is almost up and I can't imagine what is going to happen if I'm without a warranty honestly. I just want a new one. My boyfriendsaid laptop has been dropped three times and has no problems. It's perfect. Mine has never been dropped, is treated like a well behaved child and yet it does this to me. My boyfriend apologized for telling me to get this over the Toshiba. If you've made it this far thanks for sticking through it. It's up to you if you want it. I wouldn't give it less than a one because the Acer help people are quick and very kind and deserve a lot of recognition, however, I didn't pay 600 dollars to lose homework assignments, cry my eyes out, and constantly have to borrow other people computers.Acer. I want a new computer or a refund.
Defective - Screen failures after 1 hour of use.
October 25, 2016
Screen started flashing black intermittently within one hour of use while on web--returning first day. Regarding other aspects--fast processing and I like the plastic casing--very light and although feels a little cheap on the mouse, I'd rather have the weight advantage--looks cool. If you could guarantee you get one that doesn't fail, wouldn't be bad--but based on the other reviews I now see, it doesn't look very dependable.
Pretty good laptop for your buck
April 23, 2016
* Update * A little after a year of purchase the motherboard crapped out. Called Acer support and they told me to send it in to get it checked. Back and forth and they tell me my motherboard is beyond repair, not covered by the warranty, and need to get it replaced. The cost of the motherboard? $545. The cost of the part itself was more than the entire system. Acer has THE WORST customer support I have ever experienced. Save yourself the time and money and just buy a Lenovo Thinkpad.Never buying an Acer Product again. After receiving and testing out the laptop for a bit, there were some pros and cons that I found.Pros:- Graphics card is relatively strong. I run games at around 60-150 FPS depending on the quality. Example: ~110 FPS on League of Legends on Medium High quality.- Keyboard is smooth and sleek. Very easy to clean.- Design is light and really nice.- Really strong and fast computer considering it's only $550 ($600 with tax).Cons:- Heats up easily. This can be solved by buying a cooling pad- Mouse pad is really sensitive and unclear. Also, if you get liquid there, it's hard to remove.- Charging port is slightly loose. Unsure if its the model or just this specific laptop, No charging issues though.- No microphone jack. There is an audio jack on the bottom left but no microphone jack.

Feels Cheap!
August 5, 2017
Bought it for my employee because of it's price. But I would not use it ever. Feels very cheap and not well designed. Come on amazon you can do better!
Recommended by Amazon but does not fit!!!!
July 11, 2016
Actually, it is a very nice item for the price. However, I purchased it as it was recommended with Lenovo Yoga 11e, and it does not come close to fitting. Well, it comes close, but you CAN NOT slide laptop itself into bag. No way, no how.
However I would not recommend this if you're traveling with a suitcase
January 26, 2016
Product is small and light as advertised. However I would not recommend this if you're traveling with a suitcase. Normally on the back of laptop cases you can slip the laptop on the handle of the suit case. They made the hook to small, so it makes it difficult to handle the bag and suit case
Hate to do it....

I hate to do it. Honestly, I do. The case was great and fit my Toshiba Satellite snug and securely. Plenty of pockets for the mouse, USB cords, the charger, etc. Plenty of room. Life was good. Then it happened. The strap unclipped itself while I was leaving my office this afternoon. You see, they are intended to be free spinning, typical straps. Except when it doesn't twist, it will come off. Another review I read mentioned this. "Nah, that's just a once in a blue moon scenario" I told myself after reading it. I shuddered the same phrase as I watched the case fall corner first. Not even enough time to realize what had happened, as it was only hanging from my shoulder....Opened the bag to find my 850 dollar laptop with a dented frame and shattered screen. That was hours ago, and now here I am. Return processed and a backpack ordered. Just get a backpack, It's not worth the risk to your electronics. There isn't enough padding. Learn from my mistakes! Look at the carnage and don't let it happen to yours!!
... laptop bag is very small and does not have good padding to protect the laptop

The laptop bag is very small and does not have good padding to protect the laptop. The bag is very thin. Cheap material used to manufacture the bag. I returned it.
Laptops Beware
December 3, 2014
The shoulder strap on the bag simply popped loose one day, causing my laptop to make fast friends with the concrete and breaking the laptop.
