Five Star Reviews: | 49% One or Two Paper Cutters? October 7, 2017 I got the best of both styles of paper cutters at a super value. This unit allows for both to be handy or you can separate them. It’s a little heavy to carry in a backpack, but fits a suitcase for scrapbook retreats just fine. I was very popular having a full size strong paper cutter. Five Stars April 17, 2017 It is much better than i expected. Not only the price fit but also the functional wise. Must Have 2 in 1 Tool August 28, 2016 A must have for any paper crafter. I just love this thing, my 2 tools that is a must have for my crafting in 1 tool. I like that I can't slice my finger like I have with the old fashion guillotine cutter, wish it could cut a stack of cardstock but I'm ok with it only being able to cut a few because there are guides and clear markings that help me get an accurate cut and size. For the price I purchased this thing, I can't complain, it does the job for me. | 82% Nothing is safe in my house, if it has a corner I will round it! May 15, 2017 Oh my goodness, I love this little tool! Where has it been all my life?! I bought it to use to round corners on things I laminate (I teach the 3 & 4 year olds at church and have learned if I want anything to last for more than 1 week it must be laminated!). I didn't want me (or the little ones I teach) getting hurt on the sharp corners that inevitably show up when you laminate anything. It works like a dream for that, but I have also found many other uses for it. For example, I made little diplomas for my group of preschoolers I taught and rounding the corners made them look that much more professional. It easily cuts through the laminated sheets. The 3 different sizes are a nice option. I also love that it has a cover to catch the clippings, so much easier to clean them all up that way. And, no I did not get paid or compensated in any way for this review, I just love this little product!! Finally! The right sizes & it works consistently! December 9, 2015 How difficult can it be to find a decent corner rounder, right?! Apparently, it is REALLY difficult, cuz I tried at least 8 or 9 at various sizes & hated them all! - including the big huge heavy duty chompers from WeRMemory Keepers. They are either (1) not quite straight, leaving the rounded corner lopsided (2) they require you to turn the darn thing upside down to see what you are doing in order to line up the punch, then the paper still slips when you actually execute the punch, (3) they are so tight that it takes all my considerable weight to punch a corner, knocking it askew & resulting in a crooked corner, (4) they break after a too few punches, (5) they are super heavy to heft and store, (6) they stop dialing sizes properly, etc. etc. etc. THEN, this one finally shows up as a #1 seller. It is GREAT! First of all, the corners are the sizes I need - the small is about the same radius as you'd see on laminated IDs (I've since gone on a rampage, cleaning out my entire family's wallet & laminating everything & rounding corners on everything), the medium is the perfect size for rounding corners on photos or card envelopes (I think the one on the envelope punch boards are a bit too large to allow you to make a pretty liner or punch a cute little design in the corner) - see the pix I uploaded for an example, the large is perfect for rounding card corners without eating up too much of the design. I wanted to get through my holiday cards before leaving a review, so that I can indicate what it works on consistently. It works well on paper, cardstock (I tried 65# to 140# watercolor paper), foil cardstock, foam, glitter stock, 40# vellum, and even some card corners that have stenciled texture paste. I didn't like how it worked on felt, since the cuts weren't as clean. Nifty Office Gadget January 3, 2015 This is a really awesome gadget to add to an office/work station. I was experimenting with business cards and wanted to have some with rounded corners. Unfortunately it's pricey to go to a print shop and ask for these extra details. Thus I went to seek help from Amazon and lo and behold was granted with this corner cutter. I didn't even know such a device existed! Needless to say it worked very well in creating rounded corners for my cards and letters. It adds a nice, unique touch to any document and is fun to use. The design of the cutter comes in 3 sizes: S, M, L. You slit in the corner of the paper and firmly push the lever down. When I first got it I couldn't stop finding excuses to round cut everything :) A wonderful tool for Scrapbooking and Business cards September 20, 2014 This is a video showing how the corners look on top of each other, and how well it works for Project Life crafting. I also show the bottom so you can see how easy it is to open it up and throw away the excess corners.I had recently returned Martha Stewart's corner cutter, because it wouldn't make any clean cuts. This corner cutter with 3 different sizes has exceed my expectations. Corner rounder perfection September 12, 2014 I can't tell you how much I've spent on stupid corner rounders, trying to find just one that creates a good, consistently round corner for my projects. There's nothing worse than cutting that corner only to find that your rounder suddenly decided your card would look better with only a half-round corner. So frustrating!!Finally, I've found the rounder to change my life. It feels flimsy when you first pick it up, but it's not. Mine has not let me down so far, at least. You get three corner size options, and while the back isn't open to "see" what you're doing, there are lines on either side of the rounder so you can guide your paper in properly. I've used it probably 100 times already and never once have a had a corner that didn't live up to expectations. This puts the Fiskars, Martha Stewarts, and the EK Successes of the world to shame. Look no further- you've found your rounder!! Very nice March 26, 2014 Just corner rounded 1000 cards (4000 corners) of 130 lb cover. Every corner came out perfect.I was looking for a 1/4 inch corner rounder. This unit is in metric but the middle of the three sizes was basically 1/4 inch.Certainly on this heavy cover stock this was a one-at-a-time operation. You'd probably want to stick with one-at-a-time even for lighter paper.I was a little worried that it would break because another reviewer had a bad experience. Theirs was either defective or they may have tried stock that was too heavy. 130 lb cover is very heavy stock though, and 4000 cuts is a lot of work. The unit showed absolutely no signs of wear and tear after this job.Normally I'm not very impressed with these little plastic consumer-grade tools. In this case someone did a phenomenal job designing this little gem. | 23% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Four Star Reviews: | 12% Does a good job of cutting August 3, 2017 Shipping was fast. Took a bit of practice to get the paper for the guillotine cutter right. Over all a good product. I haven't used the rotary cutter yet. Zoomyo 2 in 1 Rotary Paper Trimmer May 6, 2016 I wish it was easier to use but I will eventually get the hang of it and I do recomend it. Good trimmer for at home use April 17, 2016 This paper cutter is exactly what I was looking for when I was shopping for one for crafts. I love how compact it is and it is easy to operate. I haven't had an excuse to try all of its features, but the guillotine left neat cuts on the photos I was trimming exactly where I planned for it. The construction seems pretty, albeit probably not practical for a office or commercial setting. For the at home needs, this paper cutter meets my requirements. It arrived in a nice, plain white box, that I am keeping for storage of the unit when it in use. I received this product at a discount in exchange for an honest review Good, not great. November 21, 2015 I like it, and it has suited my purposes mostly. It doesn't cut through very thick material or large stacks of paper (10 sheets was a challenge and eneded up not having a straight edge because the paper moves) but it is a small unit not meant for demanding tasks so I can understand that. I was able to cut fairly thick plastic shelf liner (the rigid kind) but I needed to clean it up by hand. It has a small footprint, good for storage, and can come apart completely.I bought this out of fear of the other cutters with much lower reviews. Overall I am fairly satisfied with it for the price. If it had a bit heavier cutting arm and sharper blade I think it would be a monster, but as it is, just adequate for most jobs and the quality of the cuts falls short for all but the least demanding tasks. | 10% Instructions Please! January 28, 2017 It's a pretty good product for the price. It would be better if it came with English instructions. The instructions are only in Japanese! Fortunately, we have the internet and can find online tutorials on practically everything. I don't have experience with other corner cutters. I would recommend that you practice the corner cutting skills on some scrap paper or card stock. I practiced a little bit and found that it's not very difficult to acquire the necessary finesse to make very nice round corners.Watch one or more YouTube tutorial(s). Great for punching corners off self-printed playing cards September 4, 2016 For what it is, this works wonderfully. I bought it to round the corners on a bunch of thick print-n-play cards (double-ply of linen coverstock). It got a little tedious after punching 100 cards (times four corners each), but that's to be expected. I did find that the S and L cutters are a bit more troublesome to use than the M. The reason seems to be that the S and L are on the sides of the device, so force isn't applied as evenly when pressing the lever. That's easily enough remedied by pressing on the size label at the same time as the lever. So a little extra effort, but still a good product. A really good bargain. July 11, 2016 Didn't expect much for the price. The multi-function ability sold me. It has become my "go to" corner cutter for paper stocks up to 230 gsm (10mil) photo paper. It can handle somewhat heavier but grudgingly. Still a really good bargain Cuts Well; Quality Product September 10, 2015 Used this to trim the corners of paper for my Filofax inserts. Does a really good job most of the time. Sometimes a corner doesn't cut clean. Minus one star for that. Cannot put more than 3 sheets of Filofax paper in the cutter at once. Cutter has a nice heft to it, easy to use, sizes are clearly marked. Not suitable for Laminated items, only for standard paper. July 16, 2015 This is a great cutter for PAPER ONLY. It WILL NOT cut laminated items. I laminate using 7 mil sleeves and normal inkjet paper, and it won't even make a dent in the laminated work. I'm sending it back for this reason.I did test it on paper and it does a great job, so if you only need a great hobby cutter for paper, this will fit the bill. A good cutter at a good price. April 28, 2015 Of the low priced corner cutters on Amazon this is the better option. It gives you a choice of three radii and is easy to operate. I am quite pleased with it. Amazon also sells Fiskars that is inherently easy to use, but because of a poor design it mis-aligns too easily unless you operate it as a left hander. This one ships from Japan and takes a couple of weeks to arrive. | 8% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Three Star Reviews: | 12% you get what you pay for March 21, 2017 Okay I normally don't do feedbacks it seems to work fairly well the only problem is the little rubber feet keep falling out and I scratch my table This is okay for the price but it doesn't straight ... November 18, 2015 This is okay for the price but it doesn't straight. I'm a graphic designer and cutting straight is a necessity. Its OK November 13, 2015 Its OK there's nothing wrong with the way it works it is very light weight but the safety edge is a bit of something that gets in the way of being accurate. | 4% Works good. Just a little difficult on thick lamination plastic April 10, 2017 Works good. Just a little difficult on thick lamination plastic. Awesome corner cutter tool December 3, 2015 Review edit (12/8/15):After one week of using this for about 80 or so cards, it's starting to really stick together. I've had it pound it on the table for it to unstick sometimes. It's still an awesome cutter, but I wish it didn't start sucking so soon! I've had to alternate between the 3 sizes to try to find a size that didn't stick as much, but they're all sticking together. Thankfully the spring mechanism springs it free pretty quickly, but it's annoying to have to deal with, one week after purchase.Original review (12/1/15):This is amazing! I own dozens of cutters/punches - from various brands such as Fiskars and Reflections and Martha Stewart, and none work as great as this cutter! I've used it for creating my own Holiday cards this year, and the rounded corners of my new cards make me so happy - I wish I had this when I was doing my wedding invitations years ago! There are three slots for 3 different rounded edges - small, medium, and large. I've used all three, and the large is my favorite as it's the most distinctive out of the 3. Very well made, and the cutter hasn't jammed on me yet! I'm a huge fan! Great for light weight paper, cardstock not so much. December 1, 2015 Works great with standard writing paper. Cardstock gets jammed, had to remove the other 2 blades in order for cardstock to cut properly. Not easy to use as it looks August 18, 2015 Not easy to use as it looks... Very hard to cut laminated photo paper... For lighter material like pictures it works fine... | 12% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Two Star Reviews: | 12% This paper cutter had no guide lines which makes it ... August 4, 2017 This paper cutter had no guide lines which makes it difficult to cut straight. I returned it and ordered a less expensive one with guide lines. Don't bother. January 24, 2017 Rotary cutter doesn't trim completely. Also exact trim point difficult to locate. Stuff bought online is often disappointing. Wanted this product to be better! October 17, 2015 Can't cut through thicker paper like watercolor paper. Even using the paper holder it didn't cut cleanly. I haven't tried the rotary blades yet but this makes me wary of trying to cut on anything thicker than copy paper. I heard many good reviews but it was not for me so I ... October 15, 2015 I personally was not the biggest fan of the trimmer. I heard many good reviews but it was not for me so I returned it. It was much bigger than I expected. I needed the cutter to cut and perforate. However, I still needed to perforate one by one to get clear perforation lines. I also felt like I was pressing much harder with the cutter to cut through the paper compared to other simple paper cutters I had. I felt I had more control with the regular scrapbooking paper trimmers than with this device. The guillotine was stiff in my opinion and I had trouble cutting multiple sheets (3-5 pieces) of cardstock straight or even cutting the cardstock all the way.. For me and my projects, this was not the product for me. | 2% When it works, it works... until it breaks. August 17, 2016 Well I made it through my batch of holiday cards before it broke. Next time I'll just pay the extra $10 to have them rounded by the printer. Not strong enough for cardstock July 11, 2016 Not a strong corner puncher as it is unable to cut through thicker cardstock. Disappointed Not good enough. May 4, 2016 It's not for long and productive use, as it stated. Low capacity, hard to operate. Not good even for kids. I wish it work fine with all the paper because the idea is practical ... April 10, 2016 It doesn't work with a thin papel. Has to be a special one. I wish it work fine with all the paper because the idea is practical but i'm not super happy with this purchase. It would only punch through one sheet of card stock and not particularly easily. I make handmade cards and would need it ... December 7, 2015 I bought this corner punch because of the positive reviews and the fact that it had three different sizes in one punch. However, I found that it was not the quality I was expecting. It would only punch through one sheet of card stock and not particularly easily. I make handmade cards and would need it to punch through two pieces at a time which it would not do. I returned this and bought a different punch. | 16% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
One Star Reviews: | 15% It can only cut like 3 sheets at a time November 14, 2016 The dimensions were off... I would have to mark the paper and line it up on the cutter each time to get exact measurements. It can only cut like 3 sheets at a time... cause the guard is sooo low and it cannot move. WASTE of MONEY. None of the rubber feet stay attached! October 3, 2016 None of the rubber feet stay attached. I have used it for one day and every time I move it some of the feet come off and the cutter wobbles. I already lost 2 of them. Some of the bumpers bumpers are fastened with adhesive and some have ribs that are inserted into holders. Neither type stay put. It's hard to believe that this was overlooked by the manufacturer. One Star March 31, 2016 Terrible! Didn't cut a nice clean edge, sent back straight away. Don't recommend. PIECE OF UTTER CRAP . December 7, 2015 This cutter is absolutely the biggest waste of time & money I've ever encountered. The guillotine style blade is completely blunt. It doesn't cut it forces the paper to tear. If you need to cut anything with any degree of precision or even accuracy DO NOT BUY THIS THING! I have 3 days before the deadline for multiple print & cut projects. Since this cutter is a total puece of crap I'm stuck curting everything by hand with scissors. I'm not sure what device all the folks that posted race reviews are using but it's not this thing. | 2% The different levels don't work, just the small level ... July 20, 2017 The different levels don't work, just the small level. Instructions are not in English. I'm not pleasedSunstar Kadomaru Pro, Corner Cutter (S4765036) Ignore the reviews - don't purchase this product July 14, 2017 Please do not buy this product because of the positive reviews. I don't know where they are coming from but they must be paid reviewers, or else I received a defective product. When I received this yesterday I tried to use it, but it couldn't even cut through two pieces of regular office paper without tearing. The "medium" setting did not work at all -- it could not cut through one piece of paper. It has no leverage and feels similar to a dull nail clipper -- not just frustrating, like my fiskars corner cutter, but completely unusable. I turned it around, opened the bottom, tried to find out what was wrong, but there's no clear way to adjust or fix anything. Randomly broke May 25, 2017 It worked great for a while, but then I tried to use it and it was just randomly broken. It had stayed safe and sound on my book shelf so it makes no sense that it broke. I'm very frustrated that it broke for no reason. It wasn't jammed with paper or anything either. I tried looking it up online and was unable to find anything about the issue. The blade seems dull and the cut is nowhere as perfect as expected February 1, 2017 The blade seems dull and the cut is nowhere as perfect as expected. I find myself having to use a scissors to touch up after using this corner cutter. My hunt for the perfect corner cutter still continues . Horrible. Started out great but half way through first ... March 14, 2016 Horrible. Started out great but half way through first use would stick and not release. I was rounding corners on a playing card deck so not too thick. A hunk of junk. | 41% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
