Five Star Reviews: | 79% I like this type of floss better than the cheaper wax ... February 3, 2017 I like this type of floss better than the cheaper wax kind. I have tight spaces between my teeth and find that this floss is able to get into those tight places and really clean out my teeth. It gentle and doesn't fray like the wax kind. My dentist actually gives the mini versions of this floss out and I always grab one or two when I go in for my appointment. I seriously carry it with me everywhere! Strong and not overly flavored September 21, 2016 As far as flosses go, I'm not terribly picky. I just need something that won't break all the time and is relatively cheap. This floss hits the mark about as well as any that I've used. I floss daily and rarely ever break this floss. I have occasionally but usually it's pretty clearly my fault that I scraped it against a tooth strangely.One thing I really appreciate about this floss is that it's not too powerfully flavored. I'm not hugely tolerant of things that will leave a strange taste in my mouth and between my teeth, like I feel a strong and fake mint flavor does. The Glide floss has a subtle mint flavor, and that's all it needs.As far as it's actual "gliding"... Well I can't really say it's much different than most other floss I've tried, but it works just fine. Easiest product for flossing! May 22, 2016 I'm not a big fan of mint. I thought I would prefer something unflavored, but this one just seems clean feeling. It's not exactly a flavor, but it is, mostly it just seems clean. But what I like the best is the GLIDE floss. After using these I wonder why anyone would use ordinary dental floss. This is so much easier to use. It slides easily has a much bigger surface to rub on the teeth and it doesn't hurt. It's also easier to hold and pull. I will never use anything else and I tried some competing products. I was disappointed. My favorite floss January 13, 2016 This is by far my favorite floss. My teeth are really close together, so it's hard for me to find floss that doesn't fray or get stuck in between my teeth. I like the minty sensation this floss leaves in my mouth. I haven't been able to find it better-priced in any retail stores, so I continue to buy it from Amazon instead. It's a good value here. Great floss. June 30, 2014 As a cheapskate, I was apprehensive about the price and the fact you get less on a roll than most other flosses. I've since discovered you'll probably use a lot less of this than other floss. With other floss, I usually pull out a good 15 inches of floss and wrap it around my fingers many times because with the thin floss, it starts to slip when it gets wet. We all know what happens when you pull too little floss and try and floss with it. It just slips off your fingers. I probably pull 30-40% less of this than the cheap floss, because it does not slip. One loop around the finger is all it takes. This might make you think it won't be slippery enough to go between your teeth. It slips between teeth very easily, and does a better job cleaning. It also feels better on the space between your gums, whereas cheap, thin floss might feel like it's cutting into your gums at times. Like mustard, this is one product it pays to buy the slightly more expensive product. The best floss I've tried May 7, 2014 This is the best floss I've tried. It really does "glide". It moves very smoothly between my teeth and rarely breaks. I purchased this package after my dentist recommended I use a soft bristle instesd of a medium bristle brush. Changing the bristle to soft has definitely helped with the irritation along my gum line. Even though I use to use the medium bristles I have really enjoyed this soft bristle toothbrush. And my teeth feel very clean after i use it with much less discomfort compared to medium bristle brushes Meant To Oral-B June 26, 2017 I usually just use the cheap toothbrush that my dentist gives me every 6 months… but after a bout with strep throat, I had to buy a new one. October 6, 2015 This has been my first foray into the more expensive manual brush market. For most of my days, I'd used either whatever my dentist gave me. Once in a while I'd go try some fancy electronic toothbrush. (I'm looking at you, Sonicare Super Expensive Electric Toothbrush.) Both of those were unfulfilling, or I'd have stopped there.This product really shines with the large head and criss-crossing bristles. I can tell that it takes me a bit less time than using either the dentist supplied brushes or the Sonicare brush. To be fair, the Sonicare gets your teeth clean in a way that rivals professional cleanings. But it has a tiny head and you're going to be there a while. The dentist brushes are basic and lack fancy heads like this one.I have already owned this brush two months and am quite happy with it. I dare say that I brush my teeth a bit more because it seems less arduous. I fully intend to buy another in another few months.EDIT: I've never had problems keeping this toothbrush clean, like one of the other reviewers mentioned. Maybe it's the paste? I use Crest Pro-Health Advanced. Surprisingly good January 24, 2015 I wasn't expecting these to be as good as they are. I've actually been using these instead of my battery powered toothbrush because I think they're doing a better job. The insides of my teeth have been a problem in the past with other toothbrushes, but I haven't been having that issue with these. I just bought these when they were a lightning deal, I really didn't have high expectations and am really pleased with a spur of the moment purchase. Different design, works well. November 3, 2012 Instead of the bristles being mounted directly into the handle, these are mounted into a flexible base that mounts to the handle. I have been using Oral-B products since a dentist recommended them to me, some twenty years ago. This one is, by far, the best one yet for cleaning ability and comfort. I haven't been able to find a floss like this without flavoring. Better Than Most! May 22, 2017 Full disclosure: My teeth and I pose a tough challenge to all floss. Several of my teeth are pretty crowded together in very tight places, and most floss I have tried shreds and breaks, even if I am super gentle in my movements. This product does better than most, but it does still shred/break about 20% of the time. Since my rate of breakage has usually been more like 80%, this is a welcome improvement. The mint flavor is also pleasant. Decent floss. April 6, 2017 I never tried the flat ribbon type of floss before, but this stuff does a good job. It's mint flavored and tastes good... just wash your hands before rubbing the corner of your eye. While "minty" ain't so bad in the mouth,,, it takes on a whole new dimension in the eye. But the product itself is great. Just not this time January 13, 2017 The last one purchased was opened and taped back shut. Yuk! I threw it away. I'm not wanting to use in my mouth. Who know what was done with it. But the product itself is great. Just not this time. It wasn't worth the time to return. Best I've found July 19, 2016 This is my usual brand of floss. My teeth are very tightly spaced, and once in a while this floss breaks while I'm flossing, but it never gets stuck or frays. Feels premium, a little hard to grip June 12, 2015 It's kinda pricey, but you do get what you pay for, which is a really smoothy, easy to use, and good tasting floss. Doesn't fray and goes in between teeth quickly. The only problem I have with it is that it's sometimes hard to grip, especially with moisture involved (saliva, or wet hands). The Butterweave by GUM gives you more bang for the buck, and is easy to grip, but it's not as comfortable and easy to use. | 18% Overall, a good product. June 12, 2017 Pretty good toothbrushes. Overall the feel is great. I feel like my mouth is healthier after every use. I floss before I brush but the bristles makes it seem as though it's reaching all those hard to reach areas naturally. I will definitely purchase again in three months. I thought these were part of the Pulsar family December 13, 2014 I accidentally bought them since I thought they were a new variant on my favorite Oral-B toothbrush the Pulsar. They aren't. Though after using them I was more than happy with the mix up on my end. They're just as good and you don't have to worry about batteries dying before the head show excessive signs of wear or having it accidentally turn on since you didn't press in the button hard enough. I feel like I get a much cleaner mouth in the same amount of time as other tooth brushes.The only thing I regret is getting the medium version. I don't have sensitive gums and after brushing 3-times in one day I found my gums to be extremely tender. I suggest you go with the soft bristle version of this brush. Takes the Work Out of Brushing January 16, 2013 I have only used this once and already I am happy with it. I was told "...20 seconds for each quadrant for good dental care...", so to me it is an effort. I hate brushing my teeth, but it must be done.With that being said, when I saw this toothbrush advertised on t.v., I couldn't wait to order it because my local stores did not carry it. (thank God for Amazon) The minute I began brushing, I noticed that I did not need so much effort or the "20 second per quadrant count".This toothbrush not only assists in removing the 'yuck', but the effort in accomplishing the task as well.I would definitely recommend this product to the lazy brusher AND the dental conservative.18 JAN 2013I had to amend my 5 star rating because it occurred to me it is NOT THE PERFECT TOOTHBRUSH! My only complaint is that the coating of mint that it has actually gets on the fingers, so lets just say that rubbing your eyes after flossing is highly not recommended! Will not purchase 'this one' again. Can't get past the breakage. It's not uncommon for me to need to use three times as much because it's always breaking while I use it. This didn't happen with the unflavored, which is totally bizarre. But Amazon dropped the unflavored from the Subscribe and Save program so now you can only get mint. I tend to walk around and not spit until I'm near the end. But this toothbrush has me slobbering down my shirt like crazy! There's a slot in the neck between the head and the handle that acts as a perfect escape route for your toothpasty saliva while brushing. Driving me nuts! I won't be buying this again. One key thing missing on it is the tounge cleaner which is very handy for people who like to brush their teeth like myself. Bad breath comes from a nasty tounge. Not being able to clean your tounge sucks! If you need this for a trip or for a couple days it should be fine but I wouldn't recommend as a long term toothbrush . June 4, 2016 I ordered this floss and the first three times I have used it, it has broken in half after flossing between 2-3 teeth. What is the point of floss if it breaks in half during use? I had used it before and it worked just fine, but apparently either the product has changed or I got a bad batch. It simply does not work. Constantly tears in half while flossing. January 23, 2016 Keeps on tearing. I haven't had this problem before with the regular (non-mint, original version). I'm not sure if it's tearing because the mint version is thinner/weaker, or simply because they shipped me a faulty product. Either way, I am extremely disappointed and frustrated. A very disappointing product compared to the Glide Original Floss version October 8, 2015 After using the wonderful Glide Original Floss, I had hopes that the cheaper, Deep Clean Cool Mint would be comparable. I finally ran out of my original today, so I got into the Cool Mint and have been massively disappointed. While the Original clearly outperformed the J & J Reach I had previously used, I found the Deep Clean floss nearly unusable. My first four or five attempts to floss resulted in the strands breaking. I finally found a segment that held up, but that was not a consistent result, unfortunately. I'm definitely going back to the Original Floss from Glide. I wish I could return this two pack, but it's been months since I ordered it. I still may give it a try since Amazon's customer service is unusually ( and consistently) excellent!
