Plackers are good...the mint flavor is nice as well!
April 22, 2017
I always hated to floss as a kid...(wrapping waxed floss around your fingers like a painful tourniquet) and these were a game changer for me. I've used a few different brands but this is my fav, and like that I can order in bulk through amazon. The mint flavor is nice as well. I prefer the single floss to the double that Plackers also makes. I've tried both, and I think these work better, because they get down deeper in your teeth.
Strong flossers!
March 10, 2017
These things are great! It might seem silly to write a review for something so basic, but these things really are better than any other flossers we've tried. The string is much stronger and doesn't fray or snap like other brands, and the price is great for 3 bags of 90 of them.
next to your easy chair, and in your camping equipment and you ...
September 2, 2016
In today's marketplace, we buy things that are expected to break. Wash machines only last a couple years, faucets are made of plastic, stuff just breaks early and often. Well, not these flossers! Maybe you will think I'm kidding, but I'm not. My dad uses one flosser daily for a month or even longer and they still go strong. Get these flossers and put some in the car, the bathroom, next to your easy chair, and in your camping equipment and you can say goodbye to beef jerky, corn and other food that tends to get stuck in your chompers. Your dentist will be happy if you use one daily too!Smile! Plackers are the best!

December 8, 2015
I've tried many different floss, but this one is the best. The floss is very strong and handle is just right for grip. Save me lots of $ at my dentist.Occasionally do get the bad package with floss that's easily broken due to bad manufacturing, but that's rare.
My favorite flosser for flossing and reasons unrelated to flossing my teeth
November 11, 2015
These are my favorite flossers. The thickness of the floss is just enough for me. Not a single one has broken on me. And they do a great job.But what I really love about this is the little sharp picker on the handle. I don't use these on my teeth though. I tend to use them to pick dust and grime from the keyboards. These fit perfectly.
BEST FLOSS PICS EVER!!!! FLOSS DOES NOT BREAK AND THERE ARE SEVERAL UNIQUE FEATURES IN THIS BRAND
September 21, 2015
I can't take proper care of my teeth without nice thin dental floss to squeeze between my tightly set choppers! I was pleased to see a little carrying case enclosed in the packet, so I can take some of these with me if I should go to lunch with one of my pals. A lady does not want spinach in her teeth when she is smiling, and I do like to smile! I have used this brand before, and I prefer it to other brands for several reasons (1) nice thin floss that does not break off of the pic; (2) larger "handle" on the pic than other brands, facilitating a really good job and better control; (3) the bendable pic engineered into the handle for larger jobs, such as the space where one of my teeth is missing; and (4) the carrying case I mentioned before. As long as I can get these without paying shipping, I will be using this brand from now on.

Like the non-mint best
January 30, 2016
I like Plackers best. The mint is a good idea, in theory, but it's a bit of dried up toothpaste on the thread (or something). That bit comes off all at once. It's a bit spicy on the mouth. It's all right. I prefer to dip the floss in a bit of toothpaste on my brush. That works like a charm. But Plackers brand is good. Doesn't break like others.
4 Stars
November 7, 2015
Pros:The string is durable. It won't break while you're flossing. It has a toothpick on the bottom that folds out as well.Easy to fit into your mouth and easy to use.You could probably use it more than once if you really wanted to...Cons:They tend to get stuck in your teeth and you will be tempted to push them out with your tongue. If you do, you may get small cuts on your tongue once in a while. The string is narrow. If you're not careful, you can cut right through your gums and expose your root nerves. If you are ever in pain, don't push against your gums so hard. I try to avoid touching my gums at all.Additional Information:Tiny burst of mint flavor when you first put it in your mouth. Conclusion:This is the best alligator floss I've ever used or seen. Its quicker and easier to use than normal floss, and not as messy. The string being narrow rather than flat and wide is enough for me to take off a star because if you're not careful, you can cut through your gums or cause gum damage to yourself. Overall, I'm happy with these because they've gotten me into the habit of flossing which is very good for my teeth.
Great as a Flosser - Packaging Could be Better.
December 22, 2014
Plackers are great as a floss and pick. My only gripe is with the package. It's resealable, but tends to pop open when handled. Maybe it's just me, but I've been frustrated with the bag opening while I pull it from a drawer - the flossers spill out. So, I've learned to be careful and try not to pick it up from the bottom. Otherwise, I'm happy with the convenience and ease of this product.
Strong and Reliable
October 22, 2013
These flossers are great after a meal!I had braces about 5 years ago, so my teeth are very tight, most flossers break on the sencond or third tooth, but these ones work for the whole flossing process. The reason why I gave it four stars, is because I don't understand why there is a protective piece of plastic over the toothpick portion and is a little annoying to break it off to use that part. I just don't understand why it needs to be there.Other than the minor annoyance, they work good.
Better than I thought they'd be
August 14, 2012
Stick flossers are a requirement for me, either the Reach flossers with the toothbrush style handles or small flossers like these Plackers Micro Mint Flossers. Standard floss won't fit between my teeth without a lot of pulling and tugging, usually ending in bruised gums once the floss breaks through. One area where these flossers excel is at not shredding. Standard floss typically shreds between my teeth, rendering it even more useless. These Plackers flossers hold up for the entire job. Even if the threads separate from wear, they still don't break or shred. I use the toothpick end more than I thought I would, and the bend-away cover works well. One item I'd like to mention is that the product description says 110 flossers per package. The picture (and reality) shows that it's actually 90 flossers per package. The package I received did include a free flosser travel case, however.
Use this, not that
October 22, 2010
Plackers are the best flossers out there, with a sturdy flossing thread and study frame design. They used to be a little better (and would have gotten five starts from me), when they were still made in the US, but manufacture has been moved to China with a slight decline in quality. Even with that move, they're still the best flossers out there. I have very tight teeth, and can usually use only one for my whome mouth. Other flossers require me to change out the thread or use a new one after a few teeth because they shred or bend or the thread becomes detached from the ends. I also haven't been able to find Plackers as frequently as I used to at CVS, RiteAid or other drug stores and often end up walking out empty handed when I look for them, so I'm glad I was able to find them online - I ordered 6 bags!

Same packaging not the same quality!
August 13, 2017
I have been using this brand of floss for a long time .Most of the time, they worked good, except this time. The fibers got shredded very easily. The same brand of the same packaging is not the same quality.
Flimsy pick
January 22, 2017
These floss picks have a fold out pick in the handle that is really flimsy. The old style had the pick coming off the end of the handle and were way more sturdy. Haven't had any problems with the floss part shredding or breaking. Not to happy with this product, will use up but will not purchase again.
Hit and miss, but there are workarounds. Preferable to regular floss.
December 19, 2016
These are hit and miss for me. Sometimes the string will start fraying after the first tooth I put it against, making it unpleasant to use. Other times, it works perfectly throughout. After using them for some time I've been able to avoid the fraying by making sure not to push hard against any sharp parts of the teeth. On the plus side, I have a retainer on my bottom teeth, and the toothpick this comes with is perfect for getting between those. (something that regular floss can't do). I also appreciate that it's just 1 handed, another benefit over regular floss.
Not as good as before the redesign.
January 23, 2016
I've been buying Plackers for a long time and have loved them. They seem to have just changed the design and it seems lighter weight and the curve of the handle feels awkward and short to me. So disappointed. I want the old design back
Hope my friends wanted tooth flossers as presents this year!
August 20, 2015
These flossers are just... meh. Sure, they taste like mint and that's pretty cool, but there's something weird about their shape that makes them not feel great in your hand. Plus, because the pick part is in the center of the handle (Which I originally thought was quite clever!), it actually makes the handle less stable and somewhat flimsy. The pick itself is nearly useless because it's so thin, and because it's super short due to the nature of it being within the handle. I'm just gonna go back to the regular Equaline tooth flossers that I got for about a dollar at Target or wherever, because while there are basically a bazillion of these in my house now... I'm really just not enjoying using them.
NOT the old design pictured, I received the new flimsier handles.
August 5, 2015
As others have reviewed, these are not the pictured old design with the tail pick. I received the new design with the middle folding pick. The problem is that this makes the entire handle feel flimsier since there is a large cut-out in the center of the handle.I did NOT find that the floss itself broke or shredded any easier than the old design. I have a couple spots that shred cheap floss instantly, leaving the remains stuck behind, and these hold up just as perfectly as the old ones. I could use them several times if it wasn't for fear of bacteria growing in them.

not comfortable to use, hard to get into the back teeth area, flimsy
The floss does not glide easily and is somewhat prone to splitting/tearing
May 22, 2016
I bought these for the price. I thought the floss would perform similarly to my crest glide floss only with the handle. The floss does not glide easily and is somewhat prone to splitting/tearing. Not only that I get this feeling that is akin to running my nails on a chalkboard while using this. At most these are tolerable to use. Will not buy again.
Quality decrease
December 3, 2015
Last time I ordered it was a strong product. In the new set that was just delivered the floss tears and frays down to a tiny string after flossing only one or two teeth.
... this product about 1 year ago and was completely satisfied with the performance and strength of the floss
June 15, 2015
I first purchased this product about 1 year ago and was completely satisfied with the performance and strength of the floss. HOWEVER this time it is obvious that the materials used are inferior and have been degraded. The floss is weaker & often breaks. I would not buy this product again. This seems to be the product life cycle of so many products.
I have an injured hand, and I bought these ...
October 7, 2014
I have an injured hand, and I bought these so that I could floss one-handed. I don't have particularly tight teeth, and I have never had a problem using floss, but I found these really hard to use. Although the floss didn't break, it did shred, and it was hard to slide it back out once it was in between two teeth. I was afraid that a filling or crown would be pulled off. I finally had to use a manicure scissors to cut the floss, so that I could extract it from between two back teeth. I found this product so hard to maneuver that I won't use it again.
OK But Not Good Flossers
December 5, 2012
I've been using reviews to buys stuff but this one didn't work out. It's highly rated but virtually every thing that description says about it is wrong. It has very strong floss that won't fray. No, it frays more than other floss that I have.It has a strong minty flavor. It does have a vague mint flavor, now that you mention it. I probably would have missed it if they didn't mention it. Not as strong as other flossers, though. It has a unique design that protects the pick.Well, yes, the little foldable arm is very clever but protects it from what? The actual pick is so big that it doesn't fit between my teeth. Other picks are very sharp and I sometimes wish *they* had a little arm to prevent them from poking me. But this one is so blunt I don't really see the point (if you'll pardon the pun).On the whole it seems like the typically marketing BS -- if you don't have the features you want, CLAIM that you do and people will buy it anyway.Obviously, given the high rating, some people really like this product, but *I* won't get it again.Dave

Floss breaking, poor quality
May 3, 2016
I purchased these several months ago and they were great. This second order has so far been really poor quality. The floss is coming out on one side (rendering them useless) on at least half of the ones I've used, and my husband who has tighter teeth is having at least 75% of them break. Most of the ones that aren't breaking, the floss is becoming very loose and floppy which makes them much harder to use. Very disappointed in this last batch.
NOT for tight teeth..
October 26, 2015
Constant struggle to get in and out of teeth resulting in floss breakage and frustration. Teeth on the tighter side, but had braces as a teen so definitely not extreme. Used half of one pack and then threw out all the rest and bought Oral-B "Glide" brand...problem solved!!
I am completely unsatisfied as I purchased 3 - 90 count packages of these Plackers Micro Mint Flossers and would like a full ref
June 22, 2015
I am completely displeased with this product. Upon opening the package, I attempted to use one of the flossers and after sliding it between my teeth, it began to fray and some of the frayed floss got stuck between my teeth. I thought, maybe it was just one, so I attempted to try another flosser and the same thing happened. My husband tried them on his teeth and the same thing happened to him. I am completely unsatisfied as I purchased 3 - 90 count packages of these Plackers Micro Mint Flossers and would like a full refund.
Tooth picks not as shown
June 5, 2015
These are not the tooth picks that were sent. I guess they are the old design which are better than the new. The tooth pick portion on the new ones are flimsy compared to the old style.
New Toothpick design doesn't work!!
May 31, 2015
The item received was different from the one pictured. The one in the picture has a really strong and sturdy toothpick which is very useful to pick after eating meat and it does the job perfectly and this has been my favorite toothpick + floss until recently. The new style which I received has a weak toothpick which is useless and it bends as soon as it touches the teeth. The floss does it's job in old and new styles. I regret buying a three pack from this seller.

February 3, 2015
NOT AS ADVERTISED. The package here is not the one that was shipped to me. Plackers has recently changed their design and the new ones are cheaper, flimsy, and break far more easily. I still have a few of the old ones and are just making use of them the best I can. The old plackers were one of my favorite products I use - sturdy, high quality, and the clear market leader. Their new design puts them in the same category as all their competitors. Beware - these are not the plackers you know you and love.
