Excellent Value and a Quality Product
July 6, 2017
I must say, these boots are fantastic! As an avid hiker and a UPS driver, these boots do an outstanding job meeting my needs and are a great value buy. I have gone through numerous boots that are $100+ and have yet to find anything as light, comfortable, durable, and quality as these. The laces that come with the boot do not tear or fray. The soles are quality and are lasting much longer than the soles of other boots that I have purchased. Water resistance and lightweight feel are excellent. I am very satisfied with these boots and just finished buying another pair for a co-worker. Fantastic value overall. Will continue to purchase when the time comes. I have 4 months with these boots so far and they're holding up great.
I love these boots so much
May 2, 2017
I love these boots so much! They fit perfectly for me and keep my feet dry all day. I work at a car wash and have never had my feet get wet while wearing these (So long as I wear jeans and not shorts, then the water drips down my legs into my socks, but that's at no fault of the boots). I would highly recommend these to anyone who works in a wet environment. If mine ever wear out I'll be sure to purchase the same pair again.
Very comfortable boot.
February 20, 2017
I wear 8.5 or 9 depending on shoe brand. My son, who is an 8.5, bought this first, in a 9 and it fits him. I tried his 9 and it was too tight. So I bought a 9.5 and it fits. So I guess they run a little small. Very comfortable boot...more comfortable than my brown Timberland waterproof hiking boots. I walked from my auto repair shop to home (about 15-20 minutes walk) in the Timberlands and my feet started hurting a bit. Later, I switched boots and wore these Columbia boots to walk back to the repair shop. Feet felt great...I plan on buying the brown Columbia boots, whenever the price gets better...
Great Product
February 8, 2017
This is a great boot-light and water proof to a point. It has hook-top lacing which makes taking them off and on much easier. I am still braking them in but so far so good. I had my shoe size verified at a local store which is 10 1/2 and the shoe fit correctly.
Good boot ... light, comfortable and fit well.
December 5, 2016
This is a very comfortable boot. I have not had them very long but the few times I have walked and hiked wearing them have been good. They are light and fit well. I went a half size up to allow for a heavy sock and the ankle brace I wear. So far I haven't needed the extra footbed that I normally but in every shoe. My last pair of columbia hikers finally came apart after 20 plus years of sporadic, but at times demanding use. I hope to use these more frequently ... so we shall see how they hold up.
Love them! Light weight but lasts like a much ...
November 11, 2015
This is my third pair of Newtons. Love them! Light weight but lasts like a much heavier boot. Not too stiff like heavier boots, The boot has a little give which allows you to wear 1-3 pair of socks, versatile in a wide range of temperatures. I work hard and walk miles everyday. I replace them about every 2 years when the tread starts to wear thin. the uppers always last, I always load them with mink oil before the winter sets in.

Good looking and completely waterproof
October 9, 2017
I ordered these for my husband who has wide feet with a pretty flat arch. He's incredibly hard on his shoes and he needs shoes that are supportive and can really stand up to everything he puts them through. In this instance, he needed waterproof boots and I ordered these despite being concerned that they might not be waterproof enough. I'm happy to say I was wrong - these are great! Not only do they look great, but they held up to him hosing down a ship deck and soaking his boots in the process and his feet stayed dry!The fit is great and he needed zero break in time. They're now his go-to shoes whenever he's going anywhere and he's says they're extremely comfortable to be in all day with no soreness or irritation.I'm really pleased with how well these are made, and how well they're holding up to heavy, regular use. They still look brand new, and if you knew my husband, you'd know that's really saying something!
These boots are very comfortable, sturdy and waterproof
August 25, 2017
These boots are very comfortable, sturdy and waterproof. I have been wearing them pretty much everyday for work and use them for hiking and outdoor activities on the weekends. They do not leak! I have stood in water getting out of my canoe. I a have walked through flooded fields and forests and they do not leak. Now if you let the water go over the laces of the boot etc, of course they are going to flood! Being said if you find yourself in deep water they do dry fast. I have a pair of Keens Tarrghee 2 that I liked, but the back completely wore out on the heel so bad that it exposed a hard white plastic that tore at my heal all in the first 6 months months of use. Been wearing the Timberland's now for 5 month no issues.
Fantastic Boots!
April 11, 2017
Fantastic hiking boots. I have worn them quite a bit now and have to say they are extremely comfortable and surprisingly light. I haven't fully tested out their level of waterproofness, however, the minimal amount of water and much I have been in, they have worked perfectly. I have a wide foot and they have plenty of room. The toe box is roomy as well. Sizing was perfect I wear a size 10, and the Size 10 I ordered fits exactly how I was hoping. My one complaint is they could use a tad more arch support. I typically don't have issues in this area, but after wearing these for several hours, I do notice a bit of fatigue in my right arch, but nothing that would stop me from walking.
Comfy waterproof all-day winner
December 19, 2016
My husband needed a pair of boots to wear to work for rainy & cold days. He works at an auto auction and walks 8-10 miles a day, everyday, at work, so he needed something that would be comfortable on the asphalt and keep his feet dry. These Timberlands are fantastic! These are lightweight, waterproof, & more comfortable than his sneakers. (I know because he tells me all the time!) He has been raving about how great these are, and it doesn't hurt that they are also nice looking shoes; he's gotten quite a few compliments on them. These are definite winners.BUY THE SHOES!
These boots are the most comfortable, subtly stylish
December 13, 2016
These boots are the most comfortable, subtly stylish, and durable shoes I've ever owned.First and foremost, the quality of these shoes is top-notch. All materials are true to their description and it looks and feels like a genuinely crafted boot. I have walked through puddles and snow in these boots and my feet not only stay warn but the shoe is truly waterproof. A nice addition is that the shoe dries fairly quickly when returning indoors, and keeps its stylish looks wherever you may go.I hope to purchase more boots like this but I truly believe these boots will last a decade. From one very happy customer, I would highly recommend these boots to anyone.
Love them! Hope to have them for years more!
June 6, 2016
Love these boots. Still wearing them today after years! They look good and keep your feet both dry & warm. The sole is very comfortable which can be an issue for me with boots. They were also wide enough for my feet as well! The outside has outlasted the weather big time! While it is scuffed after many hikes and snow storms, it still looks pretty nice! I also used them as wader boots once when one of my wader boots got so stuck in the mud I had to ditch it. After letting them dry out, they were as good as new! Not even a bad smell! Very very happy with these boots especially for the price (which at the time was bit less then current June 2016 prices).

it fits nicely, it has excellent traction
September 7, 2017
The only reason I give this boot 4 star is because I couldn't find my exact size in E(wide). Besides that, it fits nicely, it has excellent traction, it's not heavy like most boots allowing you to move faster. The leather is not polished so I don't think mink oil or shoe polish is necessary. I'm glad I bought this boot seems pretty durable, but I will know for sure after 6 months.
Love so far
July 18, 2017
From the first time I put these on I was hooked they feel so good on my feet ,fit perfect ,as if I went to the store and tried them on myself ,I have worked in rain with them and not had wet feet yet ,I haven't immersed them in more than about three inches or so that is just my experience, also i mowed my yard the other day(push mower) it was 92 degrees out and i was surprised my feet didn't get to hot, the only thing left is durability but I won't know for a while ,I am pretty tough on shoes so we'll see.
Light and well built
April 2, 2017
Light weight. But sturdily built and comfortable to wear. I needed these to meet boot requirements for a course I was taking. This met the requirements.
The boots are very comfortable needing very little break in time
December 23, 2016
The boots are very comfortable needing very little break in time. My only complaint it the laces that come with these boots are very cheap and broke within 3 months (both of them). One the positive side, they really are waterproof. I have bought other so called waterproof boots only to find out they were not. They are also pretty warm in winter. Overall I am quite pleased by this purchase.
The all around ders
March 24, 2016
Okay well ive worn other hiking boots by other brands such as Merrell, Hi tec, ect and these are exceptional. But and yes there is a but, these do require a break in, out of the box i wouldnt say that they are comfortable. They are a bit stiff. But aside from that these hiking shoes have just the right amount of just about anything you'd want in a hiking boot. Great style, excellent traction, they are not bulky by any means, and the deal breaker from me was the fact that they are waterproof. These are definitely going to be my go to boots for hiking escapades.
Satisfied for the price.
March 22, 2016
I did need to break these in, and even then needed a little moleskin on my weeklong trip (just hiking, no backpacking) to Northern California. Held up well to snow and streams. They're not warm, but they aren't designed to be warm. My feet get cold < 25 F.I hate being an 11.5. I got the 12 but don't think an 11 would've fit. I could stand to wear two pairs of socks in these. I may update once I have more than ~200 miles in them, but they seem well-constructed.Quite satisfied for the sub-$70 price.

Wrong size
April 7, 2017
I have enjoyed Timberland products for many years now. I get at least a year from each pair of boots I purchase. They wear well, they are comfortable and the style is awesome ! However, I don't know how, or why, but I seem to have ordered the wrong size this time ? I have always worn a size 10 wide. Somehow, I got it wrong and received a 10.5 size. I thought id just get used to the fit after a while, but its not working out to well ? I have a severe problem with my Left ankle. Its been severally broken twice, so I need lots of support from my shoes, that's why I wear this brand. Ive already put a few miles on these, I guess Im stuck till I can afford a new pair now ? If not, please let e know asap, and ill send these back asap...Thanks for the interest. Sincerely Don
Warm, comfortable, and durable
March 12, 2017
I first bought these boots in 2012 and by 2017 the soles are worn enough that I have to order a new pair. I mainly wear them in winter, and they've worked great. My feet have gotten wet a couple of times while stepping in puddles, but as long as the puddles aren't too deep, my feet stay dry. The best part about them is the insulation. Paired with thick socks, these boots keep my feet warm, even when the Polar Vortex hits the city.
Good boot
December 18, 2016
Bought these over the summer to take on a fishing and camping trip in northern Canada. After a few nights of reading through reviews of various boots, I decided on these.First thing I did when I got them was rub them down with Mink Oil. I wore them a little bit around the house to ensure that the fit was good, and there weren't any obvious problems. However, I didn't have time to put any real outdoor mileage on them before my trip.I wore these boots all day for 6 days straight without any real break-in time beforehand. They fit great, were comfortable, and I was impressed with them. The provided stable grip on the rocks as I was stomping around the bush. They kept my feet dry, despite several splashes getting in and out of the boat. I didn't sink them over the ankle, but several times I was up to the laces without any leaks.
Good quality boot for hiking/walking.
September 20, 2016
I have only one issue with this boot. Overall I like the boots, felt good right out of the box. With that said, I have a size 9 reg foot but on the wide side but not enough to order wider E width. The solution has always been to buy 1/2 larger ie.. 9.5 instead of 9.0. My current boots being replaced are 9.5 and I can wear heavy wool socks like I perfer. Not with these, I probaly should have returned them but with thin athletic socks they fit like a glove. I am sure in time when the breaking in has accured the boots will have more room but they really should be a bit looser from the start. What I am saying is order them 1/2 size larger than your current boot no matter what size foot you really have. On the topic of water proofing which has been discussed in other reviews, if you do what you should use a protector on them before the first use... then there will be no issue with that up to the upper eyelets at that point the lower web of the tung stops and so would the waterproofing, they will resist water for a short period of time at ankle depth but water will seep by. The issue of traction which is a big one for me, I have put them to the test in that area and I am very pleased. I have not had a slip in situations where one would exspect, after rain going over rocks and dead trees no prob. Ah yes the final piece of the puzzle is the support both shank and ankle, I am pleased to say that there pretty good in both areas. Plenty of support.. I would recommend these, just order as I stated.
Good basic boot
August 12, 2016
I had some problems early on with rubbing on top of my foot right behind the big toes. A new pair of socks fixed that problem. Other than that one of the eyelets at the bottom came out early on but doesn't seem to affect anything greatly. It's been three months now and the bottom sole is starting to separate. This is about typical for me as these are everyday wear and I walk several miles a day at work...and go hiking and backpacking when I'm not there. The price was very good as I got the wheat colored style though I think I might spring for the dark brown next time.
Good Boot
November 3, 2014
I finally had to dump my Timberlands that I purchased in 1995 and literally traveled the world with. I called them shoe boots, was technically a shoe, but the feel and build of a boot. I was walking through some fields a couple of weeks ago and my old Timberlands felt like they went flat, causing discomfort in my feet. So I bought these White Ledge boots...they look good and are very comfortable. Real easy to put on and lace up. Be careful of sizing. I'm typically a size 9 or 9.5, but sometimes have to get a size 10. Thankfully I ordered the 9.5, they fit just perfect, at first I thought I might have to send them back...but I'm happy with the size. I would almost recommend going a 1/2 size higher when ordering, especially if you're in cooler areas and plan on wearing thick socks. I've been wearing these a couple of weeks now...quality is there. I'm really happy with how easy they lace up...put on and take off is a piece of cake. I've had other boots where you had to loosen the laces, stretch the shoe, put them on, tighten everything and do the reverse when taking the boot off. Not these timberlands, slip them on and lace the 2 top latches and you're off.

Just a bit too narrow.
August 24, 2017
The boot sure seemed nice and well made- it reminded me a lot of Hi-tec Altitude boots that I've worn for years. For all of my other boots and shoes I wear a 13, regular width. I read that this shoe may run a bit small, but they didn't have a 13.5 for me to order so I thought I'd try a size 13. As it turns out, the size 13 was fine length wise, but it felt too narrow. I would have returned it for a wide version, but they did not sell one, so I just returned it for a refund.
Allright boot.
June 7, 2017
Definetly a good boot for light hiking and some trail stuff but the bottom has started to run really thin after 200 miles of backpacking leaving less comfort on the balls of my feet. Just needs a thicker sole is all.
Small around arch area
February 24, 2017
This shoe was extremely small on me around the arch area and not comfortable at all. I may just have a wider foot, but I've never ran into this issue before with other shoes. The shoe itself is great quality and meant to take a beating it looked like, so they succeed in that category
Good looking shoe, but not a working shoe
February 8, 2017
Good looking shoe, but not much on a working shoe. Not allot of support for comfort on your knees and back, suggest maybe a gel insert. Overall good shoe for the price, but I'll stick with Timberlands from now on.
Fashion Shoes not Hiking Boots
December 29, 2016
Hiking boots are supposed to be flexible, durable, and comfortable. These arrived scuffed and were extremely uncomfortable. The insoles have no padding and the shoe has no flex whatsoever to them. They look okay but that's where their value ends.
I really like the build of these boots
October 4, 2016
I really like the build of these boots,I work around steel and I feel safe enough in these boots no steel toe aside. The padding in these boots are almost non existent however. After a good amount of time my feet ache. They were pretty inexpensive though.

Woah be careful
September 2, 2017
Well traction is excellent except on black concrete/asphalt that's slick... was working through some rain landscaping and was walking down with trimmers thankfully they were off but I slipped as I went downhill right on my back lost my breathe for a few minutes and the trimmers dug into my arm though minor injury, be warned, I've been through a few timberlands and this was the cheapest at the time but also the least grip/traction
Too stiff, not great for everyday wear
March 16, 2017
I was hoping I could wear these every day to keep the rain off my feet, but the material was much stiffer than I think I could handle on a daily basis, and I ended up returning them almost immediately.I decided to stick with lighter, more flexible shoes, spray them with waterproofing spray, and wear wool socks.
Doesn't live up to the Reviews
May 11, 2016
I rate these shoes as 3 stars for a variety of reasons:-Sizing is off, I usually wear a Size 10, but the 10.5 was not nearly enough to comfortably fit my foot. The shoe seemed to disrupt blood flow if it wasn't tied very loosely. The Toe box felt small. These fit well for a certain type of foot it seems, and I just don't happen to have it.-These shoes are heavy. I wear Military Combat boots and these boots outweigh them. Reading reviews of "I could hike in these all day!" make me skeptical that the person actually wore these for anything more than a walk around the park. On that note, the sole did provide great protection from the gravel and rocks I walk through everyday.-I did not try these shoes on slippery/wet surfaces. I did not test the "Waterproof" claim either.-The shoes looked really nice with some tan khaki pants, which was why I initially bought them.I did not receive these boots for free in exchange for a review as many others who posted about this product. I decided to return these boots as even wearing them once a week was not a enjoyable experience for me.
Nice boots but cheaply made!!!
November 28, 2014
I got this boots from here because I read some positive reviews. My husbands shoe size is a nine but I read that that they run small so I got half size bigger.Anyway I received them last week and my husband wore them 2 times to work and the day we got snow.So only 3 times and the glue came off the front. I am so disappointed because I had already thrown the box in the trash and how can I return them without a box. I hope this review helps others. This was my experience with my defective pair.
Not the old Timberland
October 18, 2014
These boots are OK not great as compared to the older Timberland's I'm used to. I use them for work boots outside. They are reasonably waterproof and durable. They are reasonably stable. The issue I have is the fit. I have worn this model of Timberland boots for years but for some reason on this version the toe-box is tight on my foot. They just don't have the feel of the older model. Also, the tongue material has changed. They will do but they're not the old Timberlands.
"2E" is Not "W"
August 4, 2014
I was expecting a "2E" boot that was wider than a "D", which it was, but since there was no option for a 4E I took a chance it would fit. Inside the tongue it gives its' width as "W." The boot, although long enough, was somewhat narrow across the ball of the foot. I've had better luck with Hi-Tech boots in this regard so I returned the Timberlands and I'm waiting for a pair of Hi-Tech light weight hiking boots. If there wasn't free shipping both ways, in both cases, I wouldn't attempt getting shoes online. The boot looked well constructed and that's why I gave it three stars. Just not wide enough for my feet.

Lasted about 3 days of hiking before a malfunction...
September 28, 2017
Returned it. Took it to Scotland hiking. On the third day, I was climbing up to Storr and took a mis-step. I felt something snap inside the boot. Then during the rest of the hike it wore a blister into the top of my toes. No thanks....
A good part of the tread has already worn down
September 20, 2017
Only three months and one shoe is already separating from the sole rendering it unwearable. A good part of the tread has already worn down. Poor ankle support. Granted, I wear these shoes for work everyday but I hoped they would have held up better. The leather uppers have held up very well and no problems with water intrusion.
Rubber sole peels away after minimal use
May 3, 2017
I purchased these shoes less than a month ago. Though they are very comfortable and I have worn them almost everyday at work since receiving them, the rubber sole on the front toe of both shoes has begun to tear away from the shoe. Not what I expected for a pricy shoe from a reputable company. Does not mean I will stop buying Columbia gear but I cannot recommend buying these shoes.
I was hoping they would fit like my other Colombia hiking shoes which are great
March 15, 2017
I really need some more time with these shoes before I rave about them or down them. I was hoping they would fit like my other Colombia hiking shoes which are great. However, these slip on my right foot. It could be I need to wear them in more to get the back side to tighten up better around my heal. At present, I am not that happy with them. I have only hiked about 5 miles in one day with them at this point. Amazon asks for reviews to fast on shoes in my opinion.
Not the best quality
April 15, 2016
Boot was a tight fit. I wore Waccamaw socks and had to switch to a thinner tube sock. After 50 km a nagging piece of material in the heel rubbed my heel til I bled. I should have done more research and bought another boot. But it's Columbia! I had expected better.
Comfy, Dry and Affordale...
February 20, 2016
UPDATE - The soles wore out after 4 months.Original post - I wear these boots about 9 hours a day at a power plant on concrete, rock, gravel, wet grass, and puddles. They are comfortable and waterproof. I wear them with full foot length orthotics so I can't comment on arch support.I had to buy a 14 because they don't come in half sizes above 11.5. Other than that they're a good boot. I'm going to order another pair as a spare.

Not so easy return for defective manufacturing.
July 31, 2017
4 months of wearing these to mow my lawn and other yard work, these are falling apart. No scuffs or tears in the boot, pretty light use and Amazon would not exchange these. I am having to pay shipping to send these to Danville, KY to get an exchange. 3-4 weeks without boots. It won't kill me but it is a good argument to buy footwear locally.
Comfortable Boot, But.....
January 18, 2017
Very nice boot, seemingly well made and tough. I added an aftermarket padded insole and was immediately able to walk over 7 miles, three days in a row without a break-in period.HOWEVER, after just my fourth day of wearing these boots one of the riveted eyelets on the left boot broke and came out of the leather hole, so now I have to take it to shoe repair to get fixed (hopefully). If they can't fix it reasonably I'm sending them back.A shame because these are very comfortable boots. I should not have to pay for a repair because of shoddy craftsmanship.I'll revise the review as this issue progresses.
13 EE IS NOT 13 W
February 12, 2015
Overall disappointed with the boot. It is waterproof so far but the fit leaves a lot to be desired. I ordered a EE boot, but what arrived was a boot marked 13W. So I'm thinking... shouldn't a boot that is supposed to be EE be a least a WW and not just W.If you are a EE size do not, I repeat do not order these boots. They also seem a bit light weight to be considered "hiking" boots. Not what I consider a Timberland boot to be like at all. Start building them in the USA again...much better overall quality. If my photo is included in this review the boot on the left is a medium not a wide fit.
Soles wore out quickly
February 5, 2015
I purchased a pair just over six months ago.Initially, as with any leather shoe, it's a bit uncomfortable until you break them in. After that period these shoes were very comfortable. They're waterproof as well. I often take my dog down to a river to play and occasionally I step in it or walk through wet/muddy fields and these shoes kept my feet dry and that's a lot better than the waterproofing on my last, non-Timberland, boots. The problem, and the reason for the two stars, is that the soles wore out quickly. If you look at the shoe you can see that there's that foamy-comfortable section and the harder, more durable rubber section of the shoe on the very bottom. In 6 months time I've worn through the "durable" rubber section down to the foamy section of the sole. These are my everyday shoes and I use them for hikes, etc. Had it been 12months out and I had seen this then I'd just accept it being an everyday shoe and things wear out. At 6 months, though, it seems premature. I could definitely see the tread wearing off in that time but I shouldn't see the foamy section of the sole through the bottom of the durable section. As it is, I've ordered a different pair of boots and, hopefully, I'll get a year out of them.I would have given this shoe just one star but it does get an extra star for actually being waterproof and comfortable. It's only fault, and I find it a big one, is the non-durable rubber sole.
Short Lived-Boots Retired After 3 Months!
September 17, 2014
First off, I am an avid hiker and works as a backpacking guide. I often recommend any shoe that is waterproof and has a full leather body. As typically those boots last and retain their waterproofing if properly cared for as compared to shoes using fancy fabrics. I put a lot of miles on my shoes and expect a lot. I am lucky if a pair of shoes last me 3 seasons! That said, reading the reviews I had high hopes for these boots. Upon arrival they fit great, and felt at home on the trail in any conditions. 3 months later the shoe has begun de-laminating from the sole, the sole is worn significantly. I take proper care of my boots, applying mink oil on a monthly basis and inspecting them during the process. When I first began wearing these boots, I raved about them recommending them to clients. Unfortunately with their short life span I will steer people clear of these boots. I will unfortunately go back to my higher end boots, and would recommend the same for anyone who demands a lot from their shoes.
Just a little snug on the width
November 13, 2013
After wearing these for a few weeks now I am beginning to like them more. I was very concerned when I first put them on because normally a 2E shoe/boot fits me perfectly. These felt snug and after some casual wear (not walking or hiking), they left my feet hurting and cramped. I bought them for winter wear to and from my office environment in a coal facility. Work shoes aren't needed for a desk job but I wanted something to handle the elements and gunk outside. So far they are holding up to that task well and looking decent too.Comfort has increased since giving some time for "break-in". Anyone that can wear this from day 1 might not be an 11 2E per a shoe sizer. I did apply some mink oil at purchase to help with waterproofing.I would recommend them, but not if you needed to go on a long hike the next day. Allow time for a bit of stretching.UPDATE - With 6 weeks + since my first review I am sad to report these boots remain too tight. I am really disappointed as they actually feel good when I slip them on and lace them up. Unfortunately within 30 minutes of wear they make my feet hurt due to being too tight in the width and pinching the top of my foot just behind the toe box. I have them laced up as loose as I possibly can and they are wearable, but I would not ever agree these are 11 2E sized, even though they are labeled that way.Very sad that I wore them outside thinking they would break in.Probably the last pair of Timberland boots. If you can wear a standard width shoe, I would recommend this 2E. If it were true to size, it would probably be a nice boot.Down to 2 stars due to fit/ incorrect sizing. If based on quality, might give 4 or even 5 stars.

Bought size 9.5 for a guy who's that size. Way too short, narrow, tight. They're terribly narrow for a woman's foot, much less a man's. The window for returns is closed so I'm stuck with a wasted investment.
Very Bad Experience
June 23, 2017
I purchased these boots after reading the positive reviews thinking that they would be durable and comfortable. After three weeks of use, I can say that neither of my expectations for these boots have been met.The durability of these boots is laughable. I have worn them on and off for the past three weeks and done some moderate hiking and there are already serious issues. The rubber on the soles is already starting to deteriorate, the liner is showing defects, the metal lace pieces have become bent and scratched, and the sole is actually starting to separate from the upper in a few areas.Intially, the boots were quite comfortable, but after some miles spent hiking the liner on the left boot has developed a sharp bump in the center of my foot that makes it almost unbearable to hike in. The other comfort issue is the sole separating from the upper. This makes me wonder if I continue to use these boots how easy it would be to roll an ankle if the lower sole bends away from the upper too much.I won't be buying Colombia hiking boots ever again after this experience.
Would have at least liked an exchange
April 20, 2017
Several holes wore into the soles within just a few weeks, letting in torrents of water. Would have at least liked an exchange, but JUST missed the window for returns/exchanges.
Good boots, but stain my feet.
February 23, 2017
They are great boots, comfy, nice looking. Wear them to work. BUT, all the sudden the insides of them stain my socks and feet. My toes are now a lovely blue color. It's actually quite annoying. All of my white socks are now blue. They've never been wet, so I've no idea why all the sudden the dye is coming out of them.I paid a good bit for these boots for there to be anything wrong with them, so I'm pretty unhappy about it.Edit:I bought them December 29th. So not even 2 months has gone by.
False advertising

False advertising!! Nothing about these boots are waterproof. I work for the United States Postal Service and my feet get soaked while walking through the snow. Do not recommend!!

These shoes are at least a size or two smaller than I need. I have worn these shoes in my normal 15 M size in the past with a good fit. I don't think they were made in Viet Nam then, though. There is a large welt inside the shoes that is formed from the material overlap that is sewn together that is positioned over my bunion on the right foot. Very uncomfortable.

Disappointed Again
September 25, 2017
I have blown more money over my lifetime buying into the Timberland product line, always with the anticipation the newest and greatest model would make up for the inadequacies of the one I recently purchased.... I believe I am at the point of fool you once... fool is you Twice this time around....I purchased these shoes this summer and complained within two weeks about the eyehole of the boot coming loose; and didn't ever hear from the company or anyone representing the product. These shoes have been worn minimally but even after I reinserted the eye hole and tried to avoid any strain while tying them, they continue to be a problem. This is now my 22nd pair, but first in the last 15 years; and it is very disappointing to see the same old quality issues plague the company; and I have come to expect the quality of Lowa and Merrell; which this company is unable to emulate. I've attached a picture for you to review and allow you to form your own opinions....
Metal shoelace bracket ripped out on Hike #5, terrible quality.
July 28, 2017
What started out as an amazing boot that was heavy-duty, light-weight, very comfortable and waterproof unfortunately turned into a disappointment. I have worn these boots on 5 day hikes and was very impressed with their grip and feel but as I went to lace my boots up by pulling on the strings to force them tight, the top shoelace bracket on the right side came flying off.I'm extremely disappointed that a solid piece of metal came flying out of the boot because I really enjoyed these. I wouldn't recommend these hiking boots to anyone - very low quality and it really is a shame.
Do not but these boots!
June 8, 2017
I bought 1 pair for Christmas for my son-in-law who had a pair like this in the past which he liked very much. The first time he put them on one of the cleats at the top broke off. He returned them but had so much trouble trying to get a replacement we finally asked for a refund. So I ordered a second pair at a much higher price and the same issue occurred with them. When he tried to return them he was told they were out of the return period even though they were defective. Therefore I do NOT recommend these boots or this seller.
Seems like the sealant was not properly contained
May 30, 2017
I have been using timberland boot for the last 20 years and they really last. This one I bought and kept it as a backup since I was travelling internationally, when I started using it, just after a few uses I discovered that a black ooze was leaking from the sole near the heal, it was sticky and messing socks, trousers and anything that touched it. Seems like the sealant was not properly contained.I just bought another one yesterday, to replace the same. Never had to discard a timberland shoe within three months of starting its use, normally they last years.
They fell apart!!!
January 4, 2017
With-in two weeks one of the rivets for the eyelet came off, the left toe rubbed really bad and after a month I could not wear the boots anymore. I usually have really good experiences with Timberlands, but these just suck. DO NOT BUY THESE!!!
These Boots Are Made For Walking Not For Working.
October 11, 2014
I purchased this boot in September 2014, this date September 2015 I write this review. First ofall I say that I have used these boots, I live on a farm and I work in these boots so I have beenvery active but I have maintained these boots, I have taken care of them as I do all my investments. With this said the sole on the left book is and has come apart from the bottom practically all theway. To me this is not good if a boot is only going to last one year then why buy them to began with.I looked at the brand Timberland, and it says waterproof. This is what I expected exactly if a manufactureris going to say this then make it as stated. Today we live in a throw away world, Yeh but I took my earned money and purchased the bootswith the thought I would simple wear them out or they would wear me out. I didn't expect a one yearwear with the sole falling off. So if you are looking for a boot to wear to church on Sunday then getthese if you are looking for a work boot then make another decision.the thought houst ought of
