Superb performance
July 24, 2016
We replaced a Sony 32" Bravia (720p) that cost over $ 700.00 six or seven years ago. This TV weighs maybe 15 lb. compared to the Sony which was 50 lb. or more. The Samsung has a better picture, built in WiFi, and reasonably good sound. The picture quality is excellent and the colors are vibrant and lifelike. In my experience Samsung makes excellent products which are durable as well. My only complaint is the stand (?) that is supplied. There are two silver colored plastic "feet" that screw into the bottom of the TV. They are designed so that they can only be mounted one way, and as a result they actually extend beyond the edges of the TV screen, causing you to need a very wide mounting platform (more than the 29" width of the TV). You would need a table top at least 32" wide to stand this TV on. We wall mounted ours, so that was not a problem, but be aware that you need a wide space to stand it on. Also, as light as the TV is, tipping or knocking it over could be a problem with big pets or little kids. The mounting feet give NO stability at all. Samsung should modify the stand to fit under the center of the TV and be larger to give the TV more stability and a smaller footprint on a table. The WiFi works very well, but the input thru the supplied remote is slow and tiresome. Be sure to Bookmark your favorite websites to cut down on the time required to input web addresses. Otherwise we are VERY happy with the TV and are glad we have it.
Great Packaging, Easy to Setup, Excellent Picture
May 17, 2016
I purchased this set for a temporary residence which doesn't have adequate space for my 6 year old 52" Samsung Plasma. I was very happy to note that when I move into a larger space I will be able to re-pack this TV into the original box and take it with me, knowing it will be well protected and can be set up again quickly and easily.Setting it up involved assembling the two feet to the unit, with two Philips head screws in each foot, then plugging the power supply into the wall and the TV, and in my case the coax cable from a digital antenna into the set. When it's turned on for the first time it automatically goes to a setup screen, where it asked for my network password then autoscanned for over the air channels. All I had to do was select the channel I wanted to watch, and I was looking at a great picture. Another reviewer mentions that the TV is 'slow' when changing channels, and I have to agree. It takes approximately 1.6 seconds from the time a button is pushed on the remote before the channel changes, and about .4 seconds before text is displayed when the 'Info' or 'Guide' is pushed, though volume changes are instantaneous. I don't have a problem with the slight delay, but others might so it's worth noting. With a great picture, wireless connectivity, and all the 'Smart' functionality provided by this set, I find it to be well worth the slight premium in price compared to more basic sets.
I love the size of this tv
March 2, 2016
Before I bought this tv, i did lots of research to see what would be the right tv for me and for the right price. I love the size of this tv, it allows me to watch with great quality. I also love the smart tv aspect of it, i am able to binge watch all of my netflix shows, and I can also downloads 'apps' like pandora and the game snake. i would highly recommend this tv for someone else
Smart TV is a GREAT Choice!
December 10, 2015
This was a great price and I'm very, very happy with my decision to purchase a smart TV. If you're on the fence, spend the extra dollars for the smart hub. You will not be sorry. The options to watch Amazon Prime TV shows and movies as I am a prime customer are wonderful and you also get Netflix and internet browser. I'm thrilled with my purchase!
Best quality I ever soon in a smart TV at this price point.
August 27, 2015
I got this Tv for Mom, but I held on to it for a few weeks to get familiar with all the features, so that I can help her get the most out of the smart TV. It works great, the color and clarity are amazing. Love not having to depend on the high cost of cable TV. Wish I would have done it sooner. Will be getting another in a few weeks for me. Great product at a reasonable price.
The TV is supported just fine. Switching between cable/netfix/hulu/and internet is a breeze.
May 25, 2015
I bought this TV before there was any feedback and found the negative feedback before it was delivered. I must admit that, based on the prior feedback, I was concerned about the feet as I tried to assemble the TV. They seemed very flimsy, at first. However, it was not until I had fully screwed in the feet that I realized they were more than ample to support the television. In fact, the TV is quite secure. Yes, the feet are plastic, but the TV is very light and it does not require very much support at all. The picture is perfect. The sound quality is great. I am delighted with how easy it is to navigate between cable/netflix/hulu/internet. It was a great buy and I am very pleased.Additionally, be smart and don't be influenced by reviews from people who are not "verified" purchasers of the product.

Great picture quality
April 14, 2017
Great picture. Arrived in good order. I had a bit of an ordering problem - mostly my fault - and could not retrieve the price I originally wanted. A few weeks later the price reset to nearly the one I was looking for so I grabbed it. My first HDTV and as a retired TV production engineer who has used $15,000 TV monitors (standard definition) I am blown away with the quality. It just fits the space I have available.
Really nice TV

Really nice TV!High quality.Easy to install and use.I can play with my Xbox, watch Netflix and Youtube with an adaptor...Don't hesitate, really good product.
Great picture, good sound
August 30, 2016
Great picture, good sound, light weight. This is a very nice TV that works right out of the box: nothing fancy-it just works. (I have the 48 inch version)If you buy google chromecast, this is like a smart TV, but better because you don't have to type with a remote control. Instead, you can control it with your ipad or other device.I used this wall mount system and it works well with this TV VideoSecu ML531BE TV Wall Mount for most 22"-55" LED LCD Plasma Flat Screen Monitor up to 88 lb VESA 400x400 with Full Motion Swivel Articulating 20 in Extension Arm, HDMI Cable & Bubble Level WP5
Perfect TV for PlayStation 4 !!!
August 16, 2016
I have owned this TV for about 8 months now.Picture on this TV has been outstanding. I feed the picture and sound to my Yamaha receiver. As others have stated the sound on this TV is VERY poor. If you use a receiver this is not really a concern, you should just have your TV on mute.I use this TV for PS4 and have not been disappointed, the game play is incredible, no motion lag, Battlefield 4 looks amazing on this TV.This TV is also great watching NFL games, i never encountered motion blur, just an outstanding TV.If you do purchase this TV, be sure to update the firmware once you have it connected to your internet.Highly recommend!
A lightweight 1080p TV that works well as a secondary computer display
April 26, 2016
We bought the 32" version of this TV to use as a display for computer presentations from a laptop. It's a basic 1080p set and does the job well when viewed from several feet away, though I wouldn't recommend it for up-close use as a primary monitor. Note that if you are using this TV with a computer, you'll require an HDMI connection as this TV does not have a VGA or DVI input. The default picture settings are terrible and will be awful to use for text. Follow these instructions for optimal display from a laptop or desktop computer:1. Ensure computer screen size is set to 1920 x 1080 pixels. (Right-click on desktop, select Screen Resolution.)2. Turn TV Sharpness all the way down. Using the remote, press: MENU -> Picture -> Sharpness : 03. Set TV display size to “Screen Fit” to ensure full 1920x1080 display with no cut-off: MENU -> Picture -> Picture Options -> Size -> Screen Fit Or: Press [PIC SIZE] button on remote until Screen Fit is displayed. You will also want to adjust the brightness/backlight/contrast settings to a more reasonable setting.A few other notes:The stand is composed of two plastic feet that screw into the bottom of the case on the far edges. You'll need a phillips screwdriver to attach the two machine screws to each foot. You can plug a USB drive into the port on the back and playback movies or display image slideshows. I haven't actually tested this feature myself yet. This is an extremely lightweight display. If you're putting it in a location that can get knocked over easily, you may wish to take steps to anchor it properly. That said, it's very easy to pick up this TV and move it around when you need to.The power cord is not a standard IEC C13/C14 commonly used by many TVs. This one uses a barrel connector with a transformer and a two-prong extension. Worth noting if you've got an in-wall installation because the included cord likely isn't long enough to snake through to a separate outlet.Link to user manual: [...]
Full INFO and it is a good TV

I decided to leave a feedback just because of the negative reviews.I've been looking to buy a secondary tv/monitor to my computer. A friend of mine referred to me this Samsung UN32J5003AFXZA to which he uses with his computer as a monitor. With a normal common sense I have decided to do some research to make sure it meet my needs. So this is what I found:Warranty Terms - Parts 1 year limitedWarranty Terms - Labor 1 year limitedWidth 29.2 inchesColor Category Black3D Technology NoENERGY STAR Certified NoEstimated Annual Electricity Use 52 kilowatt hoursEstimated Annual Operating Cost 6 United States dollarsMedia Card Slot NoSpeakers 2 DTS Premium Sound 5WNumber Of Component Video Inputs 1Number Of Composite Video Inputs 1Number Of HDMI Inputs 2Number Of USB Port(s) 1PC Input NoVertical Resolution 1080pHorizontal Resolution 1920pScreen Size 31.5 inchesDisplay Type LEDVideo Input(s) HDMI|Component video|Composite videoWall Mountable YesEPEAT Qualified NoUPC 887276089621This TV is good for what it offers. But before making my decision to purchase or not, I wanted to deeper understand of all its specs above.*Warranty: something goes wrong with the TV while still under warranty, YOU and NOT Samsung will pay for shipping back to their factory, they will fix/replace and ship back to you at their cost.*Energy Saver: NO. Which means it cost $6 per every 200 hours of use. If this TV was energy saver it would cost $4.2 instead. (US dollars)*5watts speakers, the sound is very low, pay attention to this. The volume at max should sound like a shower speaker or lower. The sound of this TV is rated to be used in a 137 square feet room or smaller. However, there is an option to buy with Samsung HW-J250 2.2 Channel 80 Watt Audio Soundbar (2015 Model). For an extra $99.99*NO PC INPUTS, the reason I want a TV is to use with a PC. I can still use this TV as a monitor as long as I get my self an adapter (HDMI); an extra 20-30 bucks for a good quality one.*Smart Functionality- No, Built in Wi-Fi- No: meaning this TV will not connect to your wi-fi and it does not have the smart hub option to connect with apps.*USB PORT: meaning you can connect via sharemovie cable with a usb male port to your smart cell phone or camera and display your photos or even play a netflix movie. Guess what, with the combination of your smart phone and this TV = Smart TV. This does not say under description, but it's common knowledge.I don't think I need to go through all the other features, they are all straight forward.Bottom line this TV does meet my needs with conditions (I need either new video card for my computer with HDMI output or HDMI cable with output pc connector), and it meets my budget. If the TV breaks, back light stop working or any other problem it will cost me 40 bucks for shipping. Unless it breaks within 14 days free shipping. and they will ship another one back me at their cost.It took me 20 minutes to do a research, well worth my time before investing $259 + tax.I prepared wrote this review which took me more than an hour, to help consumers to find what they are looking for. And not wasting their money like some did buying this TV not knowing what they were doing.

Great deal for high quality
September 21, 2017
This wall mount is high quality and very versatile. The basic arms of the mount fit perfectly to our 42" TV, so I would have to assume if you had a larger television the extending arms would just as well. The directions included were easy to follow and all hardware was nicely labeled and included.*Please remember that knowing where your wall studs are or using drywall anchors ensure that the mount is secure.*The mount does offer extension from the wall and the TV moves very easily. My only complaint would be that to angle the TV you must hand adjust and then lock into place making angling the television not always an easy task, but this does ensure more security for your telvision. We also appreciated the level and the HDMI cord that was included with the price. Overall an amazing deal for a quality product that cost upwards of $100 or more in stores.Would definitely buy again and recommend to family and friends.
Drill 3/16" Pilot Hole, Not 7/32" - Otherwise Easy to Install and STRONG!
June 9, 2016
I used to install TVs for people professionally, so I have used many different mounting systems. I was looking for something cheap, but reliable to hang a 50" LG 50LA6200 LCD TV. I looked at a lot of options both on Amazon as well as elsewhere before settling in this one. I am happy that I did!For starters, this comes with EVERYTHING that you could possible need to hang your TV, with the exception of a #2 phillips head screwdriver and a drill. Included are a complete assortment of screws, bolts and washers (all neatly organized and labeled in individual packets), a double-sided spanner wrench, a very nice magnetic level, and even a 10' HDMI cable. The instructions say to use the "optional" expansion kit for larger TVs. Usually, this is code for "kit not included." I was pleasantly surprised to find that that was not the case here. For once, the "optional" kit was actually included!Installation was a breeze for me, even without instructions since I already know how this works, but I found the instructions relatively easy to follow for those who need them. All of the various configurations for the expansion arms can get confusing, but just try each one until you find the right setup for your TV.** PLEASE NOTE **There is one change to the instructions that I highly suggest, however. The instructions say to drill a 7/32" pilot hole into the stud for each mounting bolt. Then screw the bolt in with a phillips head screwdriver. When I first mounted this (I wound up moving it shortly thereafter), I followed the suggestions for the pilot hole. Sure enough the screw did thread in easily... a little TOO easily. The second hole from the top actually stripped out and I was not putting much force behind the screwdriver at all! When I moved this to the other side of the room, I decided to go with a smaller pilot bit. I used a 3/16" bit instead. Granted, you are not going to thread the bolt in with a screwdriver - you will need a 10mm socket - but doing it this way, those bolts are not going anywhere! You could probably get away with a 13/64" bit, but to really protect your expensive TV, I would want all of the bite I could get!I also found that the inside diameter of one of the washers was a smidge too small for the bolt to go through. I just enlarged it with a round needle file, but since they don't include any spares, if you don't have a file or another washer laying around, you'll need to get one. Just thought I'd throw that out there in the interest of full disclosure.Once this was installed, I was impressed with not only the sturdiness, but also with the complete range of motion. This is fully articulated. You can put your TV pretty much anywhere you want to. The only thing it can't do is move your TV up or down, although you can tilt it to a certain degree.
This TV mount is beyond my expectations. Very well built.
March 14, 2016
So I was very skeptical of this product when I first looked at it, lots of people saying it would tear out of the wall shortly after installation and all that. Lemme tell you, they just did it wrong or like complete idiots; you do no use dry-wall mounts for a heavy TV, possibly a lighter TV, and I can not stress the word "Light" enough. No one should be using dry-wall mounts in the first place, they are not reliable... plain and simple.Anyways, back to my experience with the product. I have it mounted above my Xbox One about 4 feet off the ground. I mounted to a stud in the wall and right after that, my roommate who weighs around 150 LBS hung off of it for about 5 seconds at the base and it didn't even budge; now that's a tough wall mount if I ever saw one! I put my 40" Samsung TV on the mount, and I can extend/swivel/angle/tilt it however I want. The gear it comes with is pretty high quality and especially the level. For an add on to the product the level is pretty decent for it's designed purpose. The packaging is well done and the parts are all labeled well and accordingly. Make sure you use washers on the outside of the mount before you put the TV adapter on your TV, they will save you a lot of grief.I've had this wall mount for a month so I felt pretty confident in writing a review. I'll add some pictures to let you know the range of motion as well as how the TV looks how I attached the adapter and the part where it's mounted to the wall. I can sit specifically off to the side and enjoy the TV along, I can turn it to look at my PC area so I can play while I talk to friends on Skype or other chat programs and I can turn it to look at my bed and I can enjoy Neflix or Hulu as I lay in bed, nice and cozy.I hope you all enjoyed my review, it's been a blast and I'll be willing to answer any questions you might have.
Works great with beefier support to the wall
January 31, 2016
Based upon some of the reviews, I mounted support brackets between two studs and using a heavy duty toggle bolts, mounted the wall mount. It went up in about 90 minutes and is solid! Used heavy duty screws to assure it will not fall from the wall.Kit includes level and cable as stated and is great! Articulates out and nice adjustment of the angle. TV looks great!
Great quality mount
March 2, 2015
8/28/2017 UPDATE: The review and the pictures below are accurate for the TV mount I purchased on 01/26/2015. From the comments I am getting for the past 6 months, it seems that the seller might have changed the product since, and my review and pictures might not match the current product. That is not under my control, seller should have created a new listing for the new product but chose instead to use the same listing because of the 19000+ reviews posted. So please don't blame it on me, I'm just a customer that wrote a review to the product I received back in 2015.Original review written on 03/02/2015:Bought it to mount 3 LED TVs (2x65", 1x50") in an office, chose this model mostly because of the lockable feature. I didn't use the included lag bolts because of the poor quality complaints in previous reviews. I didn't want to take the chance to strip the included bolts so I bought 5/16-9 2-1/2 lag bolts from Lowes (item 63396) and a box of 1/4" Toggler bolts (Lowes item 118084). On one of the 65" TVs and the 50" TV, the 2x4 studs were spaced perfectly and I was able to mount them using 4 lag bolts each. On the other 65" TV, the stud was about 2" off center so I put 2 lag bolts in the stud and 4 toggler bolts in the left and right most holes. I put my entire weight (200 lbs) on each mount half way extended and they held up just fine. Here are the pros and cons:Pros:1. Good quality mount2. Ability to adjust the horizontal leveling (plus/minus 6 deg)3. Lockable mount with 5 mm holes. Most pad locks you can find in stores have 6 mm shackle diameter, but I found the Master Lock 131Q has 5 mm locks and it fit just right.4. 10 ft HDMI cable included5. Long arms give you the option of moving the TV in almost any position.Cons:1. There is nothing to stop the TV from sliding from one way to the other on the two horizontal bars. That would screw up the horizontal alignment every time the TV is moved. Not sure how they didn't think about this. I used some black duct tape to prevent that. I could have drilled holes in the horizontal bars and put some screws in but duck tape was faster.2. I wish I could have been able to use zip ties to route the cable on the wall side from the lower side to the upper side or the mount, but there are no holes to get the zip ties in.Very happy with the purchase overall, would buy again in a heartbeat. You can see how it looks with a 65" TV attached in the pictures below.[...].
Great Mount for a 60" TV
May 1, 2012
I mounted a 60" Sharp LED TV to this mount with no problems. I recieved it sooner than expected & it was 98% assembled out of the box. I followed the directions, took the time to do it right & it took about 20 minutes.I always read the negative reviews first & I am baffled as to how people can have problems with this product. This mount is well made & I would recommend it to anyone that is concerned over the reviews stating it sags. The mount can be easily installed by one person as I did below: You may need help to hang your tv on it once it is installed. I am laying this out because of the problems I read about in the other reviews.1. Figure out where your studs are & drive a pin or finish nail on each side of it to be certain where the centers are. Make these small holes about 1/4" above where your mount holes will be drilled. These small holes will be covered by your mount.2. Drill your first pilot hole into the center of the stud & run the first lag bolt & washer through the mount & get it near snug.3. Extend the bracket so you can lean against it.4. While leaning against the mount in a eyed up level position, lay your level on top of the wall bracket & get it level.5. Pull your pencil from behind your ear & mark the second hole which is on the opposite side of your first hole.6. Let it back down & drill the second hole in the center of the stud.7. Move the mount back to the level position & install the lag bolt & washer.8. Tighten the two lag bolts so they are just about crushing the mount into the wall.8. You can now drill your bottom holes & install the lag bolts & washers. Make sure you are in the center of the studs.10. Tighten & retighten all four lag bolts. If these are not tight, you will have problems with the TV sagging when the mount is extended. It is critical that the four lag bolt are tight against the mount. If you skip using the washers, you reduce the strength & stiffness of your mount.Any fine tuning needed can be done on the 3 bolt swivel plate after the TV is on the mount. The mounting bracket has holes so you can install mud rings & plates for your wiring. I will be installing a recessed power outlet on one side & a brush cover faceplate on the other for the signal cables on the other. The mounting bracket has wire chases so everything is neat & held to avoid crushing cables. The only thing I will do to modify the mount is to drill a small hole in the upper portion of each pivot point to allow me to easily give each pivot a shot of WD-40 once in awhile. This should keep it operating smoothly & keep things from getting tweaked if it gets a little sticky from dust & oxidation.

Good TV For The Price
April 25, 2017
So far so good. I think its a great picture and TV for the price. My only two beefs with it are this. 1st the legs are plastic and feel like they could break at any moment when your moving it. 2nd when you first turn it on, you have to wait 2-4 minutes roughly for the internet connection. This is a small beef but still a little frustrating when I just want to turn it on and get it going, I guess am a little impatient.
Very good TV.
September 26, 2016
I really like this TV. Good picture and the built in sound is better than most but I still run in through my stereo system most of the time. The smart TV hub us a little clunky to navigate and slow but works. It did not have an app for Amazon Prime music so I also purchased an Amazon TV stick so I could get that. In getting the stick I use is most of the time as it is faster than the TV's "smart" hub. Over all I am very happy with the purchase and would recommend it.

So far so good! I like the features of the TV and it was pretty decently priced for the size. Only small complaint is the sound isn't as loud as what my old TV was.....I'm sure you could solve that problem easily with a sound bar or speakers but for us, that isn't an option right now due to finances. Overall a great TV
BEWARE OF MISSING AUDIO OUTPUT JACKS
January 23, 2016
Being hearing impaired and using wireless earphones I was disappointed to find thatSamsung was too cheap to keep the RCA audio output jacks on this model. Now I have to buy separate speakers and a digital audio toslink cable and receiver to get my earphones working. The TV does not allow the internal speakers to work in conjunction with the digital audio output. I'ts either 1 or the other.Just a bit stupid as far as engineering goes. One thing is picture quality is great but I'll be sure next time to check the outout ports.
Good, Modest TV with Some Weaknesses
December 13, 2015
After a few months using this TV, I feel I should re-do this review. The good:--------------It works well once it gets going. The image is clear (it's 1080p, whatever the pretentious reviews say, 1080p is pretty much the same everywhere), and I stream Netflix, Amazon Prime, and YouTube on it via its apps without much trouble. I also have an antenna hooked up and it pulls in many channels and has a number of built-in features that help me use broadcast. This TV also greatly simplified my home theater setup by becoming a single hub for everything I do with it, compared to my old non-smart TV.The Bad:---------------The TV doesn't seem to always play nice with my (admittedly outdated) router, requiring power cycling the router several times a week.-Samsung support can remotely access the TV to do fixes, but the only fix they really know is to factory reset it, forcing you to go through the lengthy initial setup routine. The Netflix help desk was the one that solved the issue.-Its browser is absolutely useless. I tried to stream the debate on CNN...it could barely load the CNN home page, after a painful process to enter the URL in the first place, then when it did start streaming it was sometimes in the background and I couldn't get it to switch the image back and forth.-The Screen Mirroring works about one in fifty attempts (I have an S5). Its samsung-to-samsung, it *should* link up without any trouble. The Ugly:---------------A smart TV is basically a laptop with a very big screen and no keyboard (it has features to support a wireless keyboard and mouse, but I fail to see the point given its terrible browser). Presumably to save standby power, "off" turns everything off, and when you turn it on again it has to go through a bootup process of about 3-5 minutes. During this time, broadcast works fine, and you can see your apps, but you can't open any. I assume this wouldn't have been an issue if I bought a more expensive TV that advertises its processor.-Also, it has all the makings of a DVR for broadcast (except for raw storage) but doesn't do it. I think that's a lost opportunity for Samsung, another feature but for some programming they could advertise.-There are a lot of additional features of dubious effectiveness or use.

Pleased with the Picture Quality
April 8, 2017
Purchased this TV for our vacation home and we're very pleased with the picture quality once I adjusted the settings a bit. It's a great set for a great price. My only complaint is that the sound level isn't loud enough for my mother-in-law to hear it so we added an external remote speaker for her.
My First HD TV

I started searching for a new TV two months ago. Wanting to take the jump from an extra largeconsole to a wide screen TV I decided to do my research.Looking at all of the opinions on How Big of a TV I would want, guarantees and the difference betweenname brands and 'off brands' I decided to purchase this. The packaging was excellent. It was double banded on the box to prevent the TV from breaking loose alongwith Styrofoam Protectors all over the TV. Where I didn't test if it would survive a big fall there was a decentchance at the possibility. After all of the unpacking I started putting the Package together. The Screws were in a small corner of the styrofoamOn the right side of the box (if the screen is facing you) so they could easily be missed unless you are looking at it.Probably would have been better to put them with the remote or the setup instructions to keep them from becoming lost.(Hint, have a decent phillips screwdriver ready. There was a lot of torq to get the screws completely in place on boththe base frame and connecting the frame to the TV)The setup is pretty straight forward and the directions for getting all of the outer parts put together was very simple. 4 screwsto put together the base and 4 screws to connect the base to the TV. It's a solid base as long as you have a wide counterto set it aside. After setting it all up I could see the benefit of a wall mount system but the layout of the room in my housedoesn't allow that. The HDMI connectors are on the right side of the TV. This if your components are either on the right side of the TV or in the middle/Underneath.My Direct TV and Roku are on the left side so the 6ft HDMI cables I had just made it with a little give. Any added distance I would have needed to get 12 ft cables. Still the connectors on the side are easily accessible. I have yet to use the USB port but I do not see any expected problems on those.Going from an older console that only maxed at 720 to a full HD is night and day. The Roku colors were bright and crisp. My Direct TV was limited to 720dpi but still there was a large difference between the old TV and the new TV. After adjusting the colors through the menu I was satisfied with what was on the screen. The Sound was slightly disappointing. The source material on some of the movies I watched needed to have the sound turned up all the way to max for me to hear. But for the majority of shows I watched 72-75 seemed to be the sweet spot for me. A sound Bar would definitely improve the effects including surround sound and would be a very good add on for this item. The Remote control is very complex for a HD tv user. It took me about 5 minutes to figure out all of the buttons and what they could do.I was unable to get my Direct TV remote to be able to connect to the TV to turn the power off and on. It is an older model so one of the newergenie remotes from Direct TV probably will have better abilities with the TV.One thing I would like to see is a little bit of flexibility at the base. With the single wide base it is rock solid for the vertical and horizontal movement. But if you have a little bit of a tilt in your floor (weaker section or carpeting) there isn't any real way to adjust the base other than to addsomething to the bottom. It's a small detail but still would be useful.Overall I gave the TV a 4 just because the sound was a little bit disappointing. For the money spent including the 5 year Assurion warrantee It was a great purchase.
Sound is poor. Price looks insufficient looks cheap because cheaper stand

It is an affordable and appropriate performance. It was purchased in has been discounted in the reference price.Sound is poor.Price looks insufficient looks cheap because cheaper stand. It is recommended that you buy a sound bar.Under $ 200, is the only purchase.
Great TV, Great Value
February 9, 2016
I got this tv on sale for $450 after Christmas. Good thing i ordered when i did because i checked the price a couple days later and it was back up to $500+. Ive had it for a little less than a month now and so far so good. I purchased this tv for my bedroom to replace a 40" Samsung i had just purchased but i was not happy with it because the screen just seemed way too small. So i saw this Samsung 50" for about $150 more and decided on this instead. Picture quality is beautiful. The sound when im playing a dvd is not as good as my Toshiba of the same size. Ive owned Samsung, Toshiba and Vizo Tv's and Samsung is the only TV that has allowed me to plug in an external hard drive so i can watch videos i have saved over the years so im happy about that. I got a chromecast really cheap around the holidays so i have that plugged in so i wouldnt have to spend extra money on a smart TV. Really happy with this TV. Hopefully it will last for many years to come.
The quality is great and the price was right
December 16, 2015
The quality is great and the price was right. I like the stand, and I didn't need anything fancy (like a Smart TV) since I have multiple devices that already stream. This gets 4 stars instead of 5 for two reasons:1: HDMI inputs. There's only two inputs. I have a BluRay player, a Roku stick, an XBOX, and a computer I use on this TV. I was forced to either change plugs 2-3 times a day, or buy an HDMI switch. I knew that was the case buying it, but my old TV came with 4, and it seems 3 should be a minimum given how many devices use HDMI now.2: No analog audio input. My audio system is a little old school, so I have an analog plug in which has to be routed through my computer and the HDMI port on that to be used.
Great value

Nice TV at a nice price as long as you don't need the smart TV bell and whistles.

Secure Wall Mount... Some Difficulties with a Larger TV
October 9, 2017
Seems to be a very strong wall mount, which is excellent and what you would buy this for. However, I found it extremely complicated to get the TV into a position I liked, as moving it around was not very cohesive. I finally have the TV (a 55" flat screen) where I want it and the anchors/wall mounts seem to be doing exactly what they need to. The thing could almost hold my full weight (170lbs) after being secured to a stud, which I guess, at the end of the day, is what you're buying this for. Also, getting the bracket to fit the back of my TV was a real son of a gun. I had to really jury-rig the additional pieces to get it. I feel PRETTY confident with what I was able to do, but rigging things together is always my last resort and leaves me feeling not 100% certain with the product's integrity. Will update if anything changes.
Really great deal for the price
September 26, 2017
I'm tempted to give this 5 stars, because it really is amazing for the price. I have a wall mount that cost me about 4X the cost that doesn't have the adjustability of this one. This also came with a lot of different hardware, a HDMI cable, and a level! I've already used the level to mount a new soundbar to the wall, and I used some of the different hardware (bolts) to mount another TV on a bracket that I hadn't kept the other sizes for.I'm only knocking off one star because there's some slop that allows the TV to rotate about 10 degrees clockwise or counter-clockwise, so I periodically have to level it out. But to get that kind of precision machining would probably at least double the price, and it's not like the thing is flimsy - the vertical bracket alone is really heavy duty.
then this is a good buy. The cons
June 22, 2017
I have two of these now, and they perform as expected, which is key here. If you are just looking at something affordable that will allow you to mount a monitor on the wall with only OCCASIONAL movement needed (such as connecting or disconnecting HDMI/Audio cables when necessary, then this is a good buy.The cons: the rotation on the monitor face (going from 0 on X axis to anything more) feels to be about 10,degrees of rotation, so i believe its really only there to provide adjustment for sloppy mounting to the wall, or something. The arms that extend from the mountpoint on the wall, to the monitor, are VERY tight.Take care when man-handling your monitor when you need to extend the monitor from the wall, you might break the monitor from the mount points in the back of it. it hasnt happened to me, but it might. Lastly, the bolts that come with this are very easily stripped when attempting to drill this into the wall BE CAREFUL. That is, unless you never want to remove it from the wall. in that case, be my guest.Moral of the story is, that i'm relatively satisfied, but i dont think ill ever have to rebuy this, since i have 2 now. Whenever i decide an upgrade is needed, it will be to accommodate movement on the Y axis, for increased viewing flexibility, some thing like this i found on a very quick on basic search: https://www.amazon.com/North-Bayou-Motion-Computer-Monitors/dp/B01AI2YGK4/ref=zg_bs_10967501_6?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=P3T4VCDYW7SYCTV0FPM1
Good product for a reasonable price.
June 21, 2017
Seems solid enough for my older model Vizio, which is pretty heavy. The installation is easy, attaching to the wall us simple enough, they even give you a little level (which is a pretty handy size for other stuff). It is required that the unit be mounted to a stud, which I would do anyway on something this heavy. Attaching the arms to the back of the set is an exercise in trial and error but I got it after a couple of tries. Hoisting the set onto the wall unit is fairly easy using the guide tab on the mounting bracket. I did it alone, but would be better as a two man job, There is lots of left over nuts and screws which would be used in other installations.
A few issues, but good in the end
April 22, 2017
We have a 40 inch Roku TV and this was bought to go with it. The instructions are easy to follow and it wasn't difficult to mount on the wall after finding the stud, except for the fact that the screws that came with it break easily and we had to find replacements. Once it was up on the wall, it was easy from there. There is a lip that the television sits on that is easy to click into place and then two screws that hod it in. It has a tilt function and the arm is nice and long so it can me moved around wherever you need it to be. It kinda reminds me of the ones you see at hospitals, where you can swing it out over a bed or other piece of furniture.Overall, this was an easy installation and a good choice.
Its OK, does what it should.
March 8, 2017
Arrived on time and undamaged.Does the job, nice motion range. If it had included a little stud finder instead of a level and little sturdier mounting screws it would've warranted a 5 star. But, I am completely satisfied with it. Took me less than 45 min to install (would've been faster with the level/stud finder switch) Just wish they had used hardened screws for the actual mounting screws. Once they were close to being seated in the wall they began to strip out. If I ever need to move the thing, I will have to replace those cheap self-tapping screws. Other than those couple small things it is a pretty solid mount.

Not worth it, even for the price
June 26, 2017
I would not recommend buying this Samsung Smart TV. You come out so much better just buying a good quality flat screen and then purchasing an Amazon Fire TV or Fire Stick for your streaming. Samsung limits you to their app store which is minuscule compared to Amazon's. My TV also came pre-loaded with HBO Go but the app doesn't work. I contacted both HBO and Samsung and they blamed it on one another. I finally just hooked a Fire TV up to this Samsung so that I could stream anything my heart desired.
Buy a Sound Bar with this TV
January 11, 2017
The picture is fine but it has the worst sound I have ever heard on a TV. I have had several Samsung TV's and have never had a complaint like this. You can't adjust the bass or treble, and there is no Surround Sound imitation like I've had on my other Samsung's. I guess they now expect you to buy a sound bar. or some other device, which is what I'm going to have to do, because the sound on this thing is unbearable.
TV is OK. You'd be better off getting a Fire Stick than using the smarts of this TV
September 19, 2016
I very rarely post reviews, and rarely so soon after using a product (just used it for a few hours today) but I thought I'd at least make a note of my thoughts over time. The set up was pretty smooth, and since I don't have an aerial I went straight to the smart apps. I was able to get Netflix up and running pretty promptly, although the Netflix app was fairly sluggish. I managed to watch an episode without a hitch. Picture quality is pretty good, but the text is not extremely sharp. As I say in the headline of the review though, the Smart TV experience was disappointing as I expected it to work a bit more smoothly than a Fire TV stick I bought a few years ago, which it doesn't.I was very disappointed with the YouTube app though - it didn't work at all on the first boot. After I restarted the TV it worked, but I couldn't stream from my device, so this was disappointing.More to follow, especially with my experience of using it as a monitor for my macbook pro
Great TV, Bad Smart Features
January 17, 2016
I have owned and used this TV for about a month now. The picture and sound quality are very good, and overall it is an attractive unit. It was easy to install (I wall-mounted it; it's very lightweight) and set up. Best of all it was an excellent value. I would rate the TV itself 5/5.However, the SmartHub features are almost useless. It takes a long time for the SmartHub to open, and it was impossible to stream Netflix—the video buffered every few seconds, and never fully loaded. It was impossible to watch video. When I exited Netflix, the TV would become unresponsive to the remote and took a long time to turn off. After troubleshooting, it was obvious that the problem was with the TV and not Netflix or my internet service. This is a known problem with these units, and another reviewer on Amazon offered a solution—to disable the security feature on the TV, and auto updates for the apps. This allowed video to quickly load and play, but it had to be done every time before watching videos. My solution was to invest in a Google Chromecast, which I absolutely love. It works so much better than SmartHub, and I like to use my phone or tablet as the remote.Between the excellent TV and horrible smart features, I would give this TV a 3/5. If you're willing to purchase Chromecast or a similar device, I recommend it, but if you want to use the smart features right out of the box, consider a different unit.
Not a bad TV.. Great for the price.
January 5, 2016
Overall I like it. I does have all the smart TV features I wanted. What I don't like though is something that seems almost unbelievable to me. You can't to a free text search in their app store. So you have to scroll around the categories to try and find an app. What's also frustrating, is the smart hub is not very intuitive. Picture is great.. the small-ish border is nice, sound is ok. It does have netflix, amazon prime, hbo go, hulu, youtube. I probably would have gotten an LG had I not heard about Samsung's interface being good. Which it's not great in my opinion.
Smart Security Feature Not So Smart, Cripples TV
December 28, 2015
I would have rated this TV 5 stars, however it took two hours to get the Netflix app to work without constantly freezing and locking up the TV's OS.Symptoms we experienced: Launching Netflix and attempting to watch a show would cause the show to repeatedly buffer and get stuck at 99%. After this occurs, the TV's OS becomes incredibly sluggish and it becomes nearly unresponsive, forcing a full reboot of the TV.Disabling "Smart Security" feature completely resolves this issue, and gets rid of the sluggishness and freezing experienced within the TV's OS. We also disabled auto-update as we saw this was recommended by other owners as a potential fix.To disable Smart Security: Menu button on Remote> System > Smart Security > OffPros:TV is incredibly light and thin.Picture quality is great.Once Smart Security is disabled, navigating the menu and apps are responsive and quick.Easy to use.PriceCons:TV is not ready to use "Out of the box".Smart Security feature completely cripples the TV and makes it unusable with built-in default apps.3/5 stars. 5/5 once the Smart Security feature is disabled.

NOT Compatible with PS4 PRO
November 4, 2017
So I bought this TV with the sole purpose of playing both my Xbox and PS4 Pro on a bigger screen than my 19" Magnavox TV but much to my surprise, when I plugged in the HDMI cord of my PS4 Pro I got "No Signal"After talking to both Samsung and Playstation I've learned that apparently it's not compatible with this TV model...which still doesn't make sense to me. My Magnavox TV is 5 years old but works perfectly fine with my PS4 Pro so I'm baffled as to how a 2015 model cannot work with it.Cons:1. It doesn't work with my PS4 Pro even though Playstation said it can but Samsung says it cannot2. The sound stutters at random times (not very often) when playing a video game with my Xbox 3603. The brightness of the screen is sometimes too bright but then at other times it is way too dark, especially when playing games like Assassin's Creed IV. I'm either barely able to see a thing or am blinded by sand glowing as bright as the sun.4. The sound isn't the greatest. It sounded like everyone was talking through a tin can before I messed with the equalizer.5. There was a loud, high pitched constant beep coming from the back of the TV whenever it was off.Pros:1. Well it IS a big TV so if you're 7 feet away from it like I am, you'll be able to see everything crystal clear and in awesome HD.2. After messing with the equalizer, the sound was pretty good.3. I saw so many people saying Samsung Customer Support sucked but the people I talked to were polite and helpful even if they were unable to help me out with this.Conculsion:Don't buy this if you're looking to game with the PS4 Pro, I'm unsure if it works with the Xbox One S but since Samsung was telling me that my PS4 Pro was too awesome for this TV then I doubt the Xbox One S would work with it.
Upgraded the firmware for sound issues!

nice picture, but slow to start up and the sound has been a little wierd.. sometimes I need to turn it off and back on again to get sound.. it's possible its from the streaming device.. but I don't think so
Poor choice
October 20, 2016
This TV does not have the definition for a very bright, clear picture that I would like, and the volume has to be turned to more than half way on the scale to hear it from 10--12 feet away from the screen. I'm not happy with purchase at all, apparently I made a bad choice that I wouldn't make again.

Great picture but the sound is not very good..
Nice picture, great features
January 18, 2016
Nice picture, great features. It looks good, and is the perfect size. One thing--- the sound system isn't great. The sound comes out from the bottom of the TV, so even at its highest setting it's not that loud. A friend told me you can buy something that will "push" the sound out from the bottom, but I really didn't want to spend another $100. It's loud enough most of the time, but there are some shows where even at the highest setting it's not quite loud enough.

Great mount, completely eclipsed by P.O.S. screws that make this worthless without extra work on your part.
November 9, 2017
The mounting screws that come with this strip like they're made of soft plastic. There is a RIDICULOUS number of reviews here, even 4 and 5 stars, talking about how crappy the screws are, that my girlfriend did not notice when she bought this. Glad I checked and saw the countless other people having issues stripping the screws VideoSecu cheaped out on, cuz for a second I thought I lost my manly touch with power tools. -_-But seriously, if you plan on mounting a possibly very expensive TV with this, I HIGHLY recommend you buy better screws on your own, because the ones VideoSecu provides are not worthy of the rest of the mount, which is very well built and sturdy. I honestly couldn't care less how well it's built though, because it doesn't matter if the practically most important part of the device are junky. My fix:Instead of buying better screws that VideoSecu should have provided based on the numerous issues they are causing for tons of people, just switch over to a socket wrench or use a bit socket that wraps the whole screw head. Come to think of it, it's almost like these were meant to be socketed in, and like the phillips screw head was added to a hex head screw or something crazy like that. Anyways socket wrench em in. I recommend against changing your pilot hole size as some others have suggested. That is usually a bad idea (unless you're going very slightly smaller to make it a tighter grip). Good luck.
great two less screws to drill on my wall
October 11, 2017
I've had my fair share of TV wall mounts but this is my first where the support bracket is only on one side. My initial thought was, great two less screws to drill on my wall. Unfortunately, after installing this and mounting my 55" LG LED TV the top screw gave and away goes the TV on my head. Fortunately the bottom screw was still holding on fairly well. After that scare I used a thicker screw for the top part of the mount, used the supplied screws for second reinforcement on the top and at last the bottom.Now....the waiting game starts, it's been up for 30 minutes so I guess so far so good.I would give this 4 stars but the mount seems a bit flimsy. But, I guess for the price you cant be too picky, or nitpicky like they call me at work.
Great job, but the 2 mounting issues kept me from giving this 5 stars
June 5, 2017
Works great after a month, although I can't give it 5 stars because I had to mount it to a board due to the fact that the distance between studs didn't match up with the mount, also, I wanted to mount the tv low, but was unable to because the holes on the mount wouldn't line up. HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN? so I had to mount the tv higher than i wanted. Instructions were easy to follow and mounting was simple.
Complete
May 8, 2017
The product is what it says it is. A small TV or Monitor mount. nothing special. I do have some concerns with the fact it only mounts at one point to one stud, but they do make bigger mounts and that may be what you need if this doesn't work for you. I also liked it came with the HDMI cord and a level. The product worked for me on three different TV's in three rooms and one room even being above the fireplace in brick. There is more than enough screws and hardware included with the exception of washers. for some reason each package only contained enough washer for three of the four TV screws on the back. other than that, works good.
Does the job, sturdy, good price
March 9, 2017
I couldn't find the plate mounts I've used several of over the years, so I tried this one for a Hitachi 43" TV (43R5). The instructions are vague and you'd think it would be easy to figure out on your own. After a lot of trial and error I finally got it to fit, somewhat. The main problem was on the Hitachi, the bottom mounting holes are low on the TV causing the brackets to slightly extend down below the TV. If the TV was mounted low, it wouldn't be a problem, but mounted high on the wall like mine, the brackets show. It may not be a problem on other TV's, but I wouldn't recommend this for a Hitachi 43R5 if mounted high.
It works fine, but would not buy again.
March 3, 2017
It works. Holds my 50" Plasma (55 lbs) just fine. I attached it to a beam, not a stud.PROS:Comes with plenty of hardware and an HDMI cable.Price (I paid ~$25.)After finding the stud, mounting the TV is pretty simple.CONS:You're hosed if a stud isn't in the spot you need it to be.The mounting bracket isn't in the center of the TV, so you have to offset the mount by about 3 inches. Not indicated in the directions.I would not buy this model again because of the limited mounting options. I'd buy one with upper and lower mounting rails that span 2 studs for more easy centering.

Screen going bad
May 28, 2017
TV worked fine for a few months. After about four months the picture started going bad. I have submitted a claim . Waiting for a response.
Believe the negative reviews......."preparing the TV" WTF???
January 27, 2016
Believe the bad reviews. The TV takes forever to turn on. It might as well not be a smart TV. I had to also buy a roku to stream. This is either a fake, or a dud.
A Real Samsung Fail
January 3, 2016
Both engineering and unit-specific problems with this TV.On the engineering side, the "Smart Hub" takes about five minutes to boot up. So if you want to watch Netflix or other internet TV, you have to turn the TV on and then go do something else for five mins. Also, the Netflix app is flaky, sometimes not working at all, just "buffering" constantly. Amazon Video app works fine, though, so I know it's not the internet connection. Many other reviewers have noticed both of these problems, so clearly they are not specific to this particularly unit. I purchased a Roku to get around this problem raising the price of the TV another $70.On the unit-specific side, my TV has a black splotch at the bottom of the screen, as well as a vertical row of dead pixels about a fifth of the way across, so clearly there was a production problem of some kind with my unit. Will have to send it back for warranty repair, unfortunately.Cannot recommend this TV. First flat panel TV I have had with problems ever.
Not So Smart Purchase.
December 14, 2015
If you are getting this as simply a TV the setup and display runs well although it does truncate some images. If you are getting this as a web enabled TV. Look for another TV. The user interface l is not very intuitive and things are hidden. Just try loading an app. The screen keyboard and moving arrow takes a little getting used to and you may even get to a word a minute. The support pages are just as cumbersome . Very aggrevating even if you just need a simple answer.
not the quality i expect from samsung
December 8, 2015
not bad for price, but speakers have slight vibration at mid- high volume. the netflix app doesnt always open. sometimes have to open browser then netflix. also samsung smart tvs have issues with vevo app fully functioning. outside of these its not a bad product.update: i removed the rca cords so i can wall mount it. the video prong came right off with the cord. hdmi is my only option now. i was switching to it anyway or else i would've returned it. i love samsung, but they are eing made cheaper every day.
Extremely s..l....o......w TV
November 21, 2015
[Final update: read to bottom to see how I "fixed" this problem, because Samsung wouldn't.]I've had (and still have) several other Samsung TVs, and have liked them. This one has the same good picture quality as my previous units, but I must say that it is the least satisfying TV that I have ever owned. Why? Because it is ...... slow. How can a TV be slow?* It's slow to turn on. Remember picture tube TVs that used to take time to warm up? Not quite that bad, but takes time.* It's slow to change channels. You press a button on the remote and then wonder if the TV heard you, or not. Eventually it responds, but you are not sure if and when it will do that.* The "Smart TV" feature is *excruciatingly* slow. Many times when trying to start viewing Netflix, this TV will put a pop-up on the screen that says "Preparing TV". This goes on and on. Even that might not be so bad if it automatically started Netflix once the "preparing" was done, but it doesn't work that way - you have to just keep trying until the pop-up doesn't appear. And then wait ... for ... Netflix ... to ... start.* But WORST of all, once the TV has been "prepared" for watching Netflix, it will go into an endless cycle of showing a few seconds of a show, then freeze while a spinning counter slowly goes up to 100%, shows a few more seconds, then repeats. Again, the only solution seems to be turning the unit off then on again and try one more time. This TV is just like having a big, bright monitor that is hooked to an old, really slow computer - that needs to be re-booted over and over again to correct problems.Very, very disappointing![Update 12/29/15]:Several people have reported that they have "fixed" this problem by doing various things like waiting for all software updates to be downloaded or by turning security options off. My TV is at the latest available software version, and I've tried making all of the changes that others have suggested - but none of the fixes work very long, and then it's back to the same maddening behavior.I do appreciate the various suggestions and reports of apparent success, and I keep hoping that a real solution will emerge (Samsung, are you listening???). But I have found that there are things that you can do, or specific sequences of operations, that *appear* to fix the problem. But then try again later, and the problems are still there. I have been down that path many times. One interesting thing I have found:Sometimes Netflix will play reliably if I let it "auto-play" a program from the beginning. By this I mean that I did not press any button to have the program start playing (it seems to start playing automatically after the menu is displayed a few seconds), and I was not trying to resume an episode that I had watched part of earlier. That is great, but just too complicated. I shouldn't have to do that. And it doesn't work all the time. But what this does suggest is that it IS possible for Netflix to work on this TV under the right conditions, if only Samsung would fix this.I keep hoping that someone (Samsung would be the obvious source) will come up with a solution for this whole problem.[Update 1/2/2016]:The Netflix issue with this TV is a serious problem that needs urgent attention from Samsung. It is affecting many people. As of this writing, there 691 reviews of this TV here on Amazon, of which 98 have reported the same or similar issues with unacceptable slowness or constant buffering that makes Netflix unwatchable. So if you have this issue, you are not suffering alone. This TV also has a suspiciously large number of 5-star reviews that say nothing more than things like: "it is great," "cool," "working good" [sic], "excellent," - many of which are concentrated on a few certain days, so will leave it to others to decide if the large number 5-star reviews are the result of any ballot box stuffing to improve the overall rating.I would have returned this TV by now if I hadn't recycled the box it came in. Lacking that alternative, it looks like the only way I will be able watch Netflix on this TV without going crazy is to buy a Roku stick to provide Netflix access.Samsung is a well-known global company. If they truly cared for their customers and their reputation, I would expect them to: A) make a reassuring statement here (because someone representing Samsung has answered a number of the questions about this TV), and B) deliver a fix for the problem. But so far, we have seen neither.[Update 1/22/2016]:Having suffered with the maddening slowness along with an unusable Netflix application that Samsung still has not fixed, I took action on my own that finally allows me to watch Netflix reliably and pleasurably on this TV.The solution is to buy a Roku 3500R Streaming Stick (HDMI) which plugs into one of the HDMI outlets on the back of the TV. Like all Roku devices, it provides a user experience that is far better than Samsung's "smart" feature. I also added a TVPower Mini USB Cable for Powering Roku Streaming Stick for a very tidy installation. The only downsides to this solution are having to spend an additional 50 bucks to provide what I thought I was getting with the "Smart" TV, plus having an additional remote (although the Roku allows you to set up your smartphone as a remote).

Functional, but a terrible UI makes this a frustrating monitor to use.
I've had a lot of issues with this
November 4, 2016
I sometimes get a choppy screen on my hdmi input channels and there are some serious issues with the volume. The volume level wont change despite the indicator bar on the screen moving and will require a restart. I'm not happy with it. After updating the firmware the problem is still apparent and sometimes I'm often greeted with a 100% volume when the television comes on.
Came with everything except a freaking remote.
September 20, 2016
It arrived on time and everything but came without a remote. There's no buttons on the tv for you to do anything and now it's a hassle to send it back as well as reordering another TV. I paid 139 for it which is a bang for your buck but would upgrade to 40 inch to 32 since I plan on hooking it up. So 1 stars to the warehouse for f'king up my order and the other other for delivery.
Picture Quality is pretty good, Sound is good (when it's not stuck loud)
September 17, 2016
Picture looks good for the price for sure, however there is an annoying issue where the sound will basically stay very loud despite controlling the level or even putting it on Mute. I can restart the TV several times and eventually get it to become normal again. If I can't find a firmware upgrade or some way to resolve this, I'll likely be requesting a refund for a defective machine.Update: I ended up sending this to Samsung. They paid for shipping since it's still under manufacturer warranty. I'll see how this goes. It seems like I missed the other two star reviews where they had this same problem. Most hooked up to Fire Stick, I however was hooked up to Fire TV, though I don't think it's just Amazon products that have the issue. Even when using the antenna, still was loud without the ability to control the volume. I should have just returned it to Amazon and kept shopping. Hopefully Samsung will get a firmware fix for this.Update 2: Got the TV back from Samsung Support. The sound problem still exists. They replaced the entire main board, however I'm not sure they listened to what the actual problem was. If it's bad firmware, you won't be able to replace the hardware and expect it to work. If you are planning on using Fire TV or from what I hear a Fire Stick with this machine, I'd look elsewhere. It's not worth the hassle.
Sound problems when using an Amazon Fire Stick
July 28, 2016
The sound quality out of this model is poor. Also when I would attempt to use my Fire stick the volume would not increase. If I ran the diagnostics it would work again, however after turning it off it would come back. Amazon replaced the unit however the same issue occurred. I returned the second and bought an LG. The fire stick works gone on it.
Good picture, poor sound

Picture is fine but sound is very quiet and this model does not allow you to control the volume on any external speakers.

Extremely wobbley and difficult to center
September 22, 2017
Initially this mounting bracket seemed good. It felt sturdy, came with plenty of hardware, and it was relatively easy to attach our TV (which weighs just under 39 lbs, so well within the weight limit for the bracket). The directions that came with it are somewhat overwhelming. There are 3 individual pages, front & back, of directions. If they were attached in booklet form they'd be much easier to keep track of. We carefully measured the space where we wanted to mount our TV, found the center of the wall, and mounted the bracket. When we attached the TV to the bracket and folded it back towards the wall, the TV is off center by about 3". Also, even with everything tightened down, the TV is disturbingly wobbley on the backet. It's not the tilt that's wobbley, so not the "up/down" direction, it wobbles to the left/right at the part that connects to the TV. Our TV was sagging to the left pretty badly. We were able to level it out and it does hold level pretty well as long as you don't touch it.The wobbling killed my confidence in the bracket. I wanted to take the TV down within minutes of mounting it. We'll be replacing this bracket very soon.
Mount sucks
May 7, 2017
This mount takes 3 people to install your tvI have purchased a lot of mounts and hung tvs by my self but this one sucksI purchased because it had a good rating and thought I would give it a tryWent ahead and hung tv but will probably change out for a better mountDo your self a favor and buy a better mount
Better for small/light TVs, and maybe a corner display.
February 13, 2017
This did not work for my LG 42" flat panel. The braces could only be attached at the top because the lower ones covered both the AC plug in and all the inputs. The flange that attaches the mount to the wall needs to be much longer, IMO. I just don't believe it will hold to the wall reliably. Finally, when folded flat against the wall, the TV is about 3" left-of-center and the mounting design didn't allow any adjustment in that direction. I returned it for a standard wall mount with two rails.
Can't Center TV!
November 30, 2016
While this is a solid mount, there is no way to adjust the center of the TV once it's mounted. I attached the mount so it was centered over my fireplace, where I intentionally placed a stud while framing the wall. After mounting the TV, I pushed it back against the wall and it was 3 inches off center due to the configuration of the mount arms. It looks pretty bad with the TV being that far off. This seems like a pretty basic adjustment that all mounts should have, and it makes no mention in the description that it is lacking this feature. I'm returning this and getting a different mount that has the required adjustability.
If the base was level, the mount and TV were not
July 29, 2016
I got this mount because of the Prime Day price and the reviews. I removed my existing mount, which was perfectly level, and replaced it with this. When I installed it the base was perfectly level, but the end where you hang the TV was not at all. I had to loosen the bolts and adjust the mount every way I could to get the left side all the way up in hopes that the TV would end up level. It took a while and some frustration, but I got it as level as it can be. Now I'm hesitant to move the TV at all for fear of it shifting somehow and the left side dropping again.
Maybe They've Switched Models
January 30, 2013
Yes the mount is cheap and yes it holds up my TV and yes it was easy to put up, but that's where the compliments stop. The mount I received can never be level. When it's pushed in it leans one way and when I pull it out it leans the other way. There's no way to adjust that side-to-side tilt of your TV as the joint only adjusts up and down. I had to laugh with the level included b/c all it does is highlight how uneven the mount is. \Looking at the picture others have posted I see a nice cover for where the bolts go, more than two places to put the bolts in and silver metal on arm. The one I received is like the new stock photo. Completely square plate, no silver metal showing and only two places to attach bolts. While the metal is very heavy/sturdy, it feels like a cheap production and lacks attention to detail. I've given up on keeping the TV level and am just living with it for now. The arm is very stiff and difficult to pull in and out even with a 32" TV on it.I should have spent $10-20 more to get a quality mount, but this just seems to be one of those cases where the manufacturing got switched to some cheaper factory and the quality has gone down as a result. Keep shopping people.

Aspect ratio while streaming poor and seemingly unfixable
July 19, 2016
So far I can't give this more than one star. We don't have cable, antenna, or dish. Just streaming and sling TV. Everything looks great until we go to stream a show and then the aspect ratio is a tiny cube in the lower left hand corner. When going into the menu and trying to fix the picture ratio, it says "it's not an option." We've done all the troubleshooting in the manual including resetting to factory settings, updating to the newest software, changing the DLS to the correct number and it still doesn't work. My boyfriend is so upset he can't speak right now. For $300 this is proving to be one of the worst buys we've ever done.I would gladly update this review if there were a way to fix the problem, otherwise I'm sending this right back and expecting a full refund.

Pros:- Nice tv picture quality. That's where it ends.Cons:- Significant delay with basic tv/remote functions including power, volume, menu settings- Volume had to be up to 80 (?!) to be able to hear throughout the room- SmartTV took a good 5 minutes to connect to the internet, so don't plan on streaming anything right after turning on. Would get the message "Preparing TV check back later"- Netflix and other apps were constantly crashing the Smart TV software in the middle of a show (software was up to date)- Significant remote delays in all Smart TV functions - trying to get back to the menu, in between shows, pausing shows, etc.- The glossy frame created circular patterns of dust, very noticeable, even wiping off daily - very annoying and unattractive
Loads too slow.
January 1, 2016
I purchased because of the brand in hopes of getting a quality product. The picture and sound is good but the system lacks speed. It takes 5 mins to load ANY button you hit on the remote. Smart Hub, Source, Menu, Guide, Tools, Volume, Chanel it doesn't matter. The delay is like using a dial up computer, so frustrating! I can't even watch nexflix from the smart hub, it loads every 2 seconds. I confirmed it was not my internet connection because I was able to mirror with my Samsung phone and stream from my phone wifi to watch. My TV received is clearly defective.
This was a great TV, for 2 days after it was opened
December 29, 2015
This was a great TV, for 2 days after it was opened. It then decided to fail spectacularly and began bleeding colors in the form of vertical colored green, blue, red, and white lines.. I ordered a replacement and am crossing my fingers this doesn't happen again after the warranty period is done. The smart tv features were a little slow but they worked and the picture was pretty good. But this 1 star review will remain until I get a replacement and it prooves to me that it can work for a month or two.My 50 inch samsung plasma tv is 5.5 years old and still going strong and this one lasted only 48 hours. Disappointed.

December 9, 2015
I've been waiting for the TV for weeks. It finally arrived and item is defective. It repeatedly turns on and off. Called customer service and told there's nothing they can do and to have it replaced. I looked online and it's a common problem. Had I known, I would have NEVER bought from Samsung. Very disappointed and will have to wait another two weeks for the replacement and hope that it's not defective out of the box again. If it is, I will simply request a refund and spend my money elsewhere. Buyer beware.

Good quality picture and lightweight but unit was severely damaged despite careful handling
October 27, 2017
I bought this unit and connected it up to a Blu-ray player. I found the overall quality of the picture to be quite good. It is extremely lightweight and easy to carry. However, after using it one time, I carried it very carefully to use it at another location and then found it had a severe damaged spot that makes it totally unusable. Apparently, this type of unit is extremely delicate and even the slightest bump does damage. I can't find any other explanation for it. So overall, it is unacceptable.
Samsung unsung
September 24, 2017
Sound goes off and returns after a few minutes of silence. Cable company says it's an issue with HMDI in TV. TV for no reason flashes from bright to dark as if it's about to go out. This started happening after having TV for three months. Have not had TV a year yet. Talk to Samsung - no results. I have for the most parts had no problems with Samsung products but this one is a real disappointment. Guess I am stuck with it.
Worked perfect for exactly one year
September 17, 2017
Worked perfect for exactly one year, then suddenly died. This is the second time a Samsung TV has done this. Never again !
Serious disappointment in this for the price and brand name
December 1, 2016
TV will at random: Power back on all by itself, switch to store demo mode for no reason, freeze up and require a reboot, or simply not respond to the remote. Can't upgrade the firmware because that doesn't work either. Serious disappointment in this for the price and brand name. Asked for a refund from Amazon. Will have to look at a different TV because I don't want to spend any more time on this hunk of junk.
One-button control - blech!
April 8, 2016
I purchased this TV in December 2015 for my son's room. It has already broken and will not turn on. It was hung on the wall and has not been exposed to any damaging actions - it just stopped working. Perusing the net shows this is a fairly common problem with this TV where it just stops working and won't turn on. The red power light is on but when pushing the one-button control, nothing happens. The remote control does nothing to turn it on either.Since the one-button controls everything, I suspect it has something to do with this. I'll stick to TVs with separate power, sound, etc. buttons from now on.

Design flaw, shop elsewhere.
September 16, 2017
Horrible bolt system. Save your time and money shop somewhere else. The bolts become captive when you insert them. Had a heck of a time getting them back out to adjust the mount. And it tore up the wall and took an extra 2hours to mount this thing. They need to rethink the design of the mounting system. I've hung several televisions and never have I dealt with such nonsense. Not to mention that they never tell you anything about it. Never again!
... this mount a few days ago and it looked great taking it out of the box
September 7, 2017
Received this mount a few days ago and it looked great taking it out of the box. However, the mounting plate is only 16" wide, so the lag bolts in the widest position would only be about 15-15.5" apart. It's not the end of the world, but the fact that the plate isn't designed to fit a standard stud width just frustrates me. I'm sending it back and buying something else

Not happy at all
December 1, 2016
Not happy at all. The cheap bolts that come with it two out of the 3 mounting bolts heads broke off. So had to go buy better screws. Then when I finally got the mount installed it was a pain to get the tv up there. To hard to do by your self like they said it is. Now two days later I noticed my tv was not str8. Yes the arm is already bent. This product is trash. Plus it was to hard to open and move. Do not buy this product
