Five Star Reviews: | 61% Perfect for small items or creating a good work surface March 18, 2017 These shelf liners are great. They are thick and provide a steady surface area for everything. The only downside is Amazon folds them up for shipping so they come with creases in them. Love! June 27, 2016 These liners are absolutely perfect (they're 14 × 30).Such a great deal, you get two per pack. Super cheap and durable. Some jerk raised the price to I believe $100-$200 when they're really $7 liners. Finally when the price went back to normal, I bought two (total 4).Arrived on time and shelf ready.I needed these so I could put my crock pot on the shelf and was tired of the outer part of the onions falling to the bottom part of my shelf.Definitely recommend this product. Perfect fit May 19, 2016 I purchased these for my 5 shelf wire rack. I needed these to help stabilize my food items on my wire rack. Without these things didn't sit on the rack easily. Once I placed these on the shelves I was able to better organize the food on my shelves much better than without them. Since only 2 come in a pack I had to order 3 packs. They fit my 18 x 36 shelves perfectly. I am so glad I purchased these. I recommend these for anyone looking to add more stability for the items on the shelves of their wire rack. Good product, stupid shipping April 13, 2016 I like these. They fit the shelving units I bought at Costco pretty good. They are decent quality and thickness, and provide a good flat surface for storing smaller items on a wire shelf. I like the look of the smoked grey color, however if you have items on the top shelf (above your head) you may not be able to see them very well anymore. This has to be pointed out, because Amazon really blew it with the shipping on these. I needed and ordered five sets for a total of ten liners. Amazon shipped each set separately. They all arrived the same day, but at different times throughout the day. The first one that arrived came in a HUGE box about 2'x2'x2'. Clearly all five sets could have fit in this box. Later that day, the remaining sets arrived. Three, in three separate boxes that were about 3" thick with the liners folded over. They did not have a crease in them, but almost. I was worried they would never lay flat, but I pressed them under a flat board overnight and they look okay now. The last one arrived in the most reasonable sized box, somewhat rolled into a good size radius. I would have preferred them to all come in this last box and all together but it all turned out okay on my end. Plus this must have cost Amazon so much more to ship them this way, I am a Prime member, so it was no difference to me, but pretty stupid on their part. PERFECT FIT! LOVE THESE! February 17, 2016 I wasn't sure about the dimensions... thought I might have to trim. But they are PERFECT!!! EXACTLY what I needed!!! They fit perfectly onto the 82" x 14" x 18" commercial 6 Tier Shelf I also bought from Amazon. Thick clear plastic tinted a little dark, which looks great. The thickness is substantial enough not to allow anything small to even sink at all between the metal wiring. Great price, came perfectly packaged - no way to get damaged during shipping. Very happy! The grey color is neutral and like a lighter sunglasses color December 13, 2014 These take a wire shelving unit to the next level, providing a more finished look and keeping smaller items on the shelf. The grey color is neutral and like a lighter sunglasses color. It is not a problem for me at all. It wasn't worth paying 3 x more for clear | 66% Used this as a cheaper alternative for removable temporary wallpaper ! June 14, 2017 I used this as a removable wallpaper for a retro themed room. This paper was applied to the door and the walls. It's a bit thinner than traditional removable / peel off wallpaper but held up really wel!! It looked great and held up for the 2 years I had it up with absolutely no peeling off etc. I imagine it would hold up equally well for other uses such as as a traditional shelf liner for shelves as well! When I took it off, it didn't peel any of the paint off with it which was perfect! This contact paper worked great! No need to take the extra steps that ... September 9, 2016 This contact paper worked great! No need to take the extra steps that were described above. I used it to line the inside of my kitchen drawers and the bottom shelf of the cabinets. The back of the paper has a grid which makes it easy for cutting. Make sure you have some sort of plastic scraper to be able to smooth out the bubbles. I won't lie, the project took me a few hours mostly because removing the drawers was arduous but the project was worth it. Everyone who opens my drawers in the kitchen compliments the splash of color/pattern. I decided to do this because the previous owners had used the rubber pads which ended up fusing to the wood and still left food/spice/oil stains on the wood because they leak through the holes in the rubber mat. For kitchens, I highly recommend the time to cut contact paper which easier to wipe up and protects the wood. Great purchase, value for money! February 17, 2016 I bought these to line some drawers. I did read various reviews on white liners where people were commenting that several liners turned out to be pretty transparent. This one pretty much covers and doesn't really show any marks from whatever you cover pretty pleased with the outcome. I have included a couple of pics showing that I covered directly on unpainted wood from inside the drawers CONTACT PAPER IS AN AWESOME DESIGN CHOICE!!!! October 2, 2015 Love contact paper. Economical, removable, attractive, easy to work with....what more could you ask for?!! I will give you the most IMPORTANT tip you'll ever learn when applying any type of sticky/contact paper.....WATER, WATER AND MORE WATER!!!!! I know it sounds like it won't stick after applying water, but quite the contrary. Okay, after you've cut your dimensions, or leave it larger and trim-up later, peel the backing paper and spray/soak the sticky side of the contact paper. Then spray/soak the surface that you're applying the paper to. This technique allows for easy repositioning and is much more forgiving than dry application. When the paper is positioned correctly, start in the middle, work your way to the edges and smooth it out such as you would with wallpaper, I use a smooth plastic wallpaper spatula.....metal tends to rip the contact paper quite easily. When you have all your lines and bubbles out, wipe off the excess water and stand back and admire (pics attached). My purpose for this particular order of contact paper was to cover our four flights of stair risers. Each 2 pack covered 8 stair risers which were 7" H x 39 1/4" W.....almost has enough to do 2 more stair risers but the stairs were just too wide. You would probably get 10 risers if they were 38" W or less. I hope this information helps. Have a great day!! Great product not just for shelves!!!! May 5, 2015 I ordered these shelf liners to actually use to up do my baby nursery very cute they stick very well look great and very easy to cut with the grid pattern on the back to help with measuring I would recommend these to family and friends and will probably be ordering more Looks nice. Do it while drinking. It takes forever. December 4, 2014 This sucked doing both bathrooms by myself but it looks great! |
Four Star Reviews: | 16% I've read complaints from other buyers that these liners have ... September 21, 2017 I've read complaints from other buyers that these liners have to be altered to fit the Seville rack. but I had no such problems. I have a small kitchen so I use the 14X30 rack for our electric convection oven and microwave (clears up limited counter space) but had problems with the feet of the microwave slipping through the spaces in the rack. These liners come as a set of two and while they would work well used individually for small items or things with a larger profile I used them doubled up because the feet on the microwave are about the size of a nickel. Great product. Love it. Deceptive marketing only allowing 1 per customer, but not disclosing that. May 22, 2017 Great product, much nicer than I expected. Definitely does the trick in preventing anything from falling between the shelving wires. One thing that upset me though, is that - while this was offered for a great price - there is a limit of one 2-pack product per customer. But that is not listed anywhere noticeable on the product page, so you don't find out until check-out time. That messes things up if you need more than two. It's also kind of a bait-and-switch false advertising, by not disclosing that fact to potential customers. Thus one star less. Otherwise I definitely recommend this. Perfect Fit! May 19, 2017 I just LOVE these wire shelf liners! I usually order the clear, but somehow missed that these were gray ~ no worries as the quality was the same, perfect size and work well on all my wire shelves. Not cheap, but worth the extra $$$. Next time I order, I will pay closer attention so I get the clear ones instead. Terrific liner, but will you need to see light through it? April 29, 2017 This makes a wire shelf so much easier to use, but I wish I could have found a clear version. The smoked color keeps overhead light from showing through so I have a hard time seeing what's under there, although, If I had the shelf filled with things, I wouldn't be able to see light shine through it, either. In my kitchen, though, I only use one of the liners because of the light issue, which, unfortunately, I didn't consider before my purchase. I have the shelf over my food vacuum sealer, so I need the light. But the liner fits perfectly, with the corners cut off to fit perfectly in these type shelves. But the best part is the surface is not slick. I'm happy and do recommend these liners. This was a smart buy April 13, 2017 The product is high quality and fits the purpose, it is a little darker than I was expecting but it still worked for me. For what you pay you get a great product. I used 1 to get 2 by easily cutting them with heavy scissors. The final product looked amazing and I saved some money in the process. This was a smart buy, I do recommend this product Get the job done, but require trimming to fit properly January 22, 2016 These liners get the job done, but they don't fit especially well. It took over a month for my order to arrive. When they finally did arrive, I unloaded the rack one shelf at a time and started installing the liners, only to discover that they were actually a little oversize and wouldn't sit flat on the shelf. (See photos.) It was easy enough to fix the problem by taking a pair of heavy scissors and cutting a little extra crescent out of each corner (see the third photo). Once I did that, they laid flat as shown in photo #4. It's a pretty simple modification, and didn't take long. But really, I shouldn't have had to do it in the first place. That said, once in place, the liners are adequately stiff for the job, and have a light textured finish that provides a reasonable level of non-slip. They seem adequately robust for the job they're meant to do. I couldn't put them on an industrial-use rack, but that's not what they're sold for. For home usage, they'll work just fine. These shelf liners earn one Technical Thug thumbs-up. But to earn the second, they'd need to fit properly right out of the box. Not everyone keeps a set of heavy knife-edge shears around the house. | 15% Great value and material, but not as easy as it seems September 8, 2017 The 2 pack is a great value and I love the pattern. However, this was a bit more difficult to work with than I had anticipated. I measured the drawers I was lining but when I cut the liner it never seemed to be the correct size, even though I was using the grid lines AND measured with the tape measure as well. So I had to cut some thin strips to patch up the sides where the pieces I cut were not big enough to fit in the drawer bottom. However, the material is very forgiving and it was easy to smooth out bubbles. Good stuff! September 4, 2017 Wish it was turned the other way but I love this stuff. Will post photos tomorrow. Super cute easy affordable way to update my file cabinets and desk!! A pain in the rear to put up some I recommend extra hands and a old credit card or something the likes to help make putting it on and less air bubbles Nice Print. March 26, 2016 This was okay. The color was good but it was a little hard to work with because the paper is thin. But it looks great on. I used it to cover the front of my file cabinet. Easy to use and bold color November 21, 2015 I got the teal chevron pattern and was pleased to find the pattern was horizontal and not vertical (because that made it easier for my project). Because it is advertised as vertical I give 4 stars. It was super easy to apply (peeled an inch at a time and stick it from the middle towards the edges to best fight bubbles and creases). I put it on a black surface but the colors came out bright and beautiful. Will definitely buy from this brand again for future projects! This completely transformed my kitchen cabinets in our rental home ... October 18, 2014 This completely transformed my kitchen cabinets in our rental home. Smaller pieces do fall off though after time, which is why I deducted a star. However EVERYONE comments on them. Shelf liner June 9, 2013 What a pain to get in the drawers. But once it is in, It looks awesome! Someone told me to use a small soft paint roller and roll the bubbles out as you go, wish i would have known that before hand. |
Three Star Reviews: | 11% had to cut them down to fit the shelf. June 3, 2017 had to cut them down to fit the shelf. they do work to keep shampoo and such from tipping over Just A Little Trim Needed... March 16, 2017 This is advertised as a match to the shelving system I purchased. I had to trim the corners so the plastic would fit properly. After that easy fix, the shelf liner fits perfectly and works as it should. Works well, although slightly wider than expected. April 10, 2016 I purchased these to go with the metal amazon rack I used to convert a hall closet hardly used into a pantry. I only needed a few to line some of the shelves that would hold smaller things that I was afraid would fall through the slats. These were slightly wider than I had thought and that is the reason I am only giving 3 stars. THey were easy enough to trim with a pair of kitchen scissors and I adjusted them to make them work for my needs. So far they haven't turned up at the edges and have worked just fine for our needs. Disappointingly Undersized and A Bit Flimsy March 25, 2016 Review for 18 inch x 36 inch liner. Exact measurements (circa March 2016) 17 1/4 inch x 34 3/4 inch; not 17" x 35", as currently stated on the Amazon web page. On a 36" long shelf, this leaves a noticeable gap at each end. As others have mentioned, if you have 14 inch wide shelves, then you'll have to trim about 4 inches off the liner. A wee bit of a chore, but at least the sheet fits properly width-wise after you've trimmed it. The sheets are slight flimsy, so that the long edges are a little bit wavy. | 10% It's almost like sticky Christmas wrapping paper August 14, 2017 I gave this 3 stars because even though it's cute it's just not what I expected. It's thin and almost transparent. You can see where I didn't paint on my shelves. It's almost like sticky Christmas wrapping paper. I put it on my shelves and bathroom drawers and I'm wondering if it will even last . I've ordered stuff like this before that was much thicker. It was a little bit of a challenge because of how thin it is it kept wrinkling. Won't be buying that again and also I had to buy the two pack, it don't give me any other option. Didn't like it for shelf liner, but has other purposes August 11, 2017 Difficult to reposition. I believe this is good for decorating, but was extremely difficult to use as shelf liner. It is thicker and stickier than Contact. However, Contact is much easier to reposition, measure, get bubbles out and cut for drawer/shelf liner. every 6 inches they put a 6x6" instruction over and over on the cutting lines, slows install July 10, 2017 Instructions are written in the way of the cutting lines on the back. Like every 6 inches they put a 6x6" instruction over and over on the cutting lines on the back and so every 6 inches you have to get a ruler and draw a straight line so that you can cut it straight. This is ridiculous! Sticks fine and and would get 5 stars if it weren't the only brand I've bought so far that does this! Really slows me down compared to the others I bought for the other closet shelves. Maybe what I got was a bad batch. But I was able to stick down ... April 25, 2016 I got this contact paper for my bathroom drawer and cabinets. My bathroom is black, white, and grey with just a hint of yellow so this would match perfectly. It does; however, it doesn't stick to wood, or walls, or paint, or anything really, but paper. Cutting it was awful to begin with because the contact paper doesn't even stick to the backing it is on in the first place so when you unroll it to measure and cut it, you already have bumps and air bubbles. Maybe what I got was a bad batch. But I was able to stick down to some poster board and it came out nice, so I can't complain too much about it now. It looks pretty and does it's job, that's what counts. Looks great, fairly simple to apply August 25, 2015 Edit: I'm actually dropping a star for my review. I applied this and mentioned that there were some cracks in between. Understandable, it's not really a wall liner, so I don't expect it to look perfect, just a temporary fix for me. However, the liner has shrunk even more than I previously stated, so the cracks in between the applications are much more obvious to the eye. If you were trying to use this to line a shelf or drawer, there would be a similar result, which isn't a huge deal, but I think something that should be known before purchasing.Looks great. I used this in a rental home as the covering for the wall where a backsplash might normally go in the kitchen. My plan is to remove this when I leave, and not have to worry about scrubbing food particles or grease stains off of the wall, like I have been for the last few years. The main complaint that I have is that it seems to have shrunk somewhat after a couple days of being on the wall. Some of the places I had to overlap the liner because I didn't cut and measure it all the way through (I wasn't sure if I would like how it looked, so I measured and cut one wall at a time, I had potentially 3 walls to cover). In the areas where it was overlapped, it looks great still, but in the areas where I lined it up right next to each other, but didn't overlap the design, there is now a think strip of wall showing. I still have enough of the liner left that I may try to overlap it now (again, to make cleaning easier), but I'm not sure. it's not terrible looking, and it's just barely noticeable at first glance.Overall, I like the design. The chevrons run horizontally the long way, NOT the way it's shown in the product image.I'm happy with it overall though, and I'm glad I decided to do this. It makes my little rental home kitchen look very modern, and it breaks up the all-white kitchen very nicely. I am strongly considering getting another 2 rolls to line the shelves and drawers in the kitchen! Cool pattern. Tough to work with. January 26, 2015 Another reviewer is correct - the chevron pattern runs the opposite direction from what is pictured. It runs vertically, not horizontally. I bought an IKEA Besta bookcase and attached the shelf liner to the back piece before assembling the unit. Since I wanted the chevron pattern to run horizontally across the back of the bookcase I had to cut pieces of the liner the width of the bookcase backing and stick them on from top to bottom. It was somewhat difficult to match the pattern to the piece above and get it straight with no air bubbles. Since it's in my closet and used for shoe storage it looks fine. One roll of shelf liner was just enough for this bookcase. |
Two Star Reviews: | 4% Poor fit. Needed to be trimmed at the corners September 2, 2017 Poor fit. Needed to be trimmed at the corners. They do work well on keeping stuff from dropping to lower levels. Easy to clean. They slide very easily on stainless commercial shelving. A great idea, but needs some work. Two Stars May 29, 2017 These not so good for me the product was ok but they just didn't work out for me ... ordered these shelf liners and they came rolled up like a burrito October 22, 2016 I ordered these shelf liners and they came rolled up like a burrito. They've been bent ever since and I cannot get them to go flat. Ive rolled them the opposite direction and tied them with rubber bands. I've tried putting heavy things on top of them. Ive even tried getting them warm to soften the plastic a little and flatten it out. They are basically unusable for my purposes because they won't go flat. This is not a product issue, but a shipping issue. It's hard to mess up a small rectangular sheet of plastic, but... May 27, 2016 It's a very simple product; just a sheet of plastic to create a flat surface for small objects to sit on the wire shelves without falling over and to keep spills from covering everything on lower shelves. Give the simplicity of the product, it's amazing how many ways it's execution can be flawed.First off, the shelf liners ship rolled up in a plastic bag, providing ample opportunity for them to be crushed and creased in transit as well as putting a permanent bend in the shelf liners which prevents them from laying flat on the wire shelves as is their only function. After unrolling the shelf liners I put them under a heavy box for a few days to almost completely eliminate the bend.Second, the liner material itself is a little too thin so it doesn't provide as stable a shelf surface as one might think. If you only have a few items on sitting on the shelf liner, it doesn't lay down flat and it moves very easily on the wire shelf causing items to fall over or just looking shabby. A nice upgrade would be for the bottom surface of the shelf liner to be a softer slightly more sticky material that would not slide around quite so much on the wire shelf.Lastly, the shelf liners do not fit properly on all of the wire shelves. Either the shelf liners aren't square or the shelves aren't, or both. But there are quite a number of shelves onto which the shelf liner does not fit and looks as if it would need to be trimmed at an angle on the right or left side. So this last point may be as much a criticism of the Seville wire shelves as it is the liners. Either way it's a disappointing flaw in such a simple product. | 5% A little disappointed. April 19, 2017 Has started peeling off after applying it a little under two years ago. That seems like a while, but when you purchase adhesive drawer liners you don't plan on replacing them annually. Would Not Purchase Again February 27, 2016 Pretty, but a bit on the flimsy side.Pros:1.) Relatively easy to install. It's not as sticky as Con-Tac brand, which makes it a bit easier to install2.) Pretty DesignCons:1.) Flimsy. One piece ripped when I pulled it up to reattach (it had not been pressed securely down yet). After I had pressed it securely down, another piece tore when I slid canned food across it.2.) Pay attention to length. This was my fault. Seemed like I was getting a deal, but these are actually only 10' long, less than 1/2 the length og most rolls. I ran out quickly just doing one fairly small pantry.Despite the cons, I was going to reorder just so I could finish the one small job I bought these for. Unfortunately, the design was discontinued and unavailable ANYwhere. I considered ordering something close, but will instead be starting over with a different design by a completely different manufacturer. I would not order this brand again for kitchen use. Not Sticky Enough - Had to return January 11, 2016 Looks cool - but the off gassing smell is terrible and above all - it does not stick to anything! It falls right off. Too bad, because the design is great! it said it's easy to clean with soap and water so I was ... December 15, 2015 I ordered rayna natural and the color looks grey in the picture, but it's a yellowy beige. Completely not what I was expecting. Also, it said it's easy to clean with soap and water so I was expecting more of a laminated paper, this is straight paper so it seems like it will get damaged easily. Rayna Natural = basketweave, not what I expected. September 6, 2015 I purchased the Rayna Natural color because it appeared to be white and taupe/tan. What I received is very tacky, white with what looks like basketweave. It will not work with my project.Disappointed and miffed because of the delay in completing my project, but I guess I should've stuck with my original plan to use a gray pattern. I will absolutely be returning this. Hard to apply April 10, 2015 Cute but extremely hard to apply seamlessly. Had lots of bubbles and creases. The silver lining is that it was to create depth in my cabinet and wouldn't be apply to see flaws. |
One Star Reviews: | 8% Bent and creased. August 15, 2017 Came shoved and bent/creased in a box with other items I ordered. So now I placed them on the shelves in hopes they will flatten out bc they will be unusable if they don't. Maybe roll in up instead of just shoving it folded up in a box. Another thing I wasted money on June 7, 2017 They are sitting out on the porch. Never used them. Another thing I wasted money on. Couldn't cut them or flatten them out ! Brittle January 28, 2017 Product recieved was brittle like it was old and cracked while trying to open packaging These are very thin plastic and arrive bent to fit ... April 18, 2016 These are very thin plastic and arrive bent to fit in the box. I didn't even see if they were truly cut to fit (others mention having to trim) because $20+ is ridiculous for two pieces of flimsy plastic, so I packed them right up to go back. You could get a couple of place mats or buy the material in bulk and cut to fit for a fraction of the cost. NOT AS YOU EXPECT February 20, 2016 I bought 2 packs of these because they were advertised along with the carts that I bought. They were TOO BIG so I had to cut them to fit the carts!!! Needed them for a function tonight and they arrived a day late so I had to keep them. They're nice liners but it was deceptive as advertised. The ad makes it look like they were made for the Seville carts. BE CAREFUL when ordering! | 4% I bought this because of the good reviews. I've worked with contact paper before and ... August 10, 2017 I bought this because of the good reviews. I've worked with contact paper before and this brand is horrible. It kept coming off the backing making it very wrinkled even before the backing was removed. I wasn't able to use but a small section from the first roll and now I don't have enough to use for my project. Needless to say I won't be buying this brand again. A gift wrapper with adhesive! July 10, 2017 It's a gift wrapper with adhesive backing. I wonder how come all these people used this to renovate their nightstands or lined their shelves.Absolutely not waterproof. If I'm using it to line my kitchen shelf, I need something that's water resistant if not waterproof.I would request Amazon or the seller to refund my money for this crap.Con-tact or Duck liners are far more better and worth the price. FALSE ADVERTISING April 12, 2017 FALSE ADVERTISING! It is not 18 inches wide. I bought it to fit the shelving I was covering. It's only 17 3/4 inches wide.Never opened the package so can't review anything else about it. Returned it right away. Product not as pictured on the packaged and in description ... October 1, 2015 Product not as pictured on the packaged and in description the chevrons were all gray but came in gray and black alternating SIZE NOT AS ADVERTISED- 17.5" wide September 11, 2015 The quality of the liner is good, and the pattern is attractive, but the dimensions ARE NOT as advertised. The width is only 17.5", not 18", which was very important for my application and created a lot more work for me. Boo. not the color pictured! July 24, 2015 I was looking for a grey to light grey! This is a very light creamy almond! Not even close. I'm so mad because now I have to return it and wait till next weekend to do my project. 😡 |
