Beautiful TV, Easy Set-up
March 2, 2016
Easy setup, once my internet was working properly, i had to restart my router. Everything fell into place. I want to just stay home and watch Amazon Pride movies. If you have HBO you may feel cheated, cause you get some HBO movies with your Prime Membership. This television is beautiful. Once your smart tv is set everything falls into place with all the add ons.
The Vizio E32-C1 and E32h-C1 offers a nice array of Smart TV apps, nice picture and Good Quality picture
November 17, 2015
Very Good Set and Affordable. Amazon has (on the remote) an access button for Amazon direct link to their website. The remote control does take some getting use to but offers many menu choices and set up cues. Picture quality (like most sets now) is good. This set allows TINT adjustment whereas many 2015 TV's no longer let the user correct Tint. Sound is fair but does offer output for speakers. The built in Smart TV also is good and works well and offers many choices (by pressing the "V" button) on the remote - which can only be accessed by having wifi in your home, office or business. One fatal flaw is no built in guide when using Over the Air digital channels. The info for program is limited to the station you are tuned to. No guide what so ever. The installed apps are: (most are pay subscriptions) However some are free :Netflix / Amazon Instant Videos/ iHeart Radio/Vudu Movies & TV / Hulu Plus / Pandora / Spotify / Twitter / Yahoo News/ Yahoo Fantasy Football / Yahoo News / Yahoo Screen / Revision 3/ B Music/ iFood.Tv / HotList Web Videos /Multimedia / Ebay / Yahoo Weather / Flix Fling / Flicker / Crackle / Yahoo Finance/ Fandango / Yahoo Sports / Tune In / Facebook / and Plex. There are firmware and updates that Amazon and Vizeo will provide for this TV.The semi-gloss screen can be an issue if there is bright light or shadowing from light sources. Some Televisions are completly glossy as well as laptops so this is something to consider when thinking about a new set. For Streaming Video YOUR internet connection speed must be 1.5 Mbps and higher. An Ethernet cable can be connected to the back of the set. Power supply from the TV is to YOUR right of the set (facing the TV) the connections for plug in devices and inputs are to the left of the TV . There are 2 HDMI inputs and 1 USB as well as your Component and Composite inputs.
Great TV
November 3, 2015
I am very pleased with the picture quality and overall build quality. The overall build is made with plastic but the plastic is a hard plastic that has a smooth clean texture. The TV (40 inch) has 200x200 mm mounts that work perfectly for a tripod mount, though it does not come with screws, they can be bought for around 4 USD (M6-1 Thread Size, 12 mm Length). Picture quality is sharp and the customization for colors is nice. Blacks are dark and colors blend well together. I highly recommend looking at guides on color accuracy to improve your watching experience on rting.com. I believe this was rated the best budgets TV in the 40-50 inch range for 2015 compared to other major brands. I definitely agree with that.
Awesome TV for the price
October 31, 2015
My review is a non technical one for people who just want to know if this is worth the hard earned dollars. I really wanted a 4k TV, but after doing a ton of research I decided that while 4k is amazing, it just didn't justify the huge jump in price. If budget isn't an issue then skip this TV. I've had this for 2 days and it is one of 4 in my home. The first thing I love about it is the picture. It is crystal clear. You can easily adjust the settings to optimize based on the room you're in. Once you have it the way you like it you can sit back and enjoy. I tested the picture by going through various types of shows and movies. No pixelation or any noticeable issues. The remote is nice and simple with 3 extra buttons for Amazon Prime movies, Netflix, and iHeart Radio which is awesome. I tested these services and again the picture was awesome. I have a 150Mb wireless connection so the streaming was flawless.I checked out the sound next. I don't ever recommend using only TV speakers, but this was adequate. Not bad, not great. I have since hooked up an old Bose 321 system and it's perfect. Get an inexpensive sound bar and you'll be happy. The only minor flaw for me is the width. It's decent plus I watch it from the front not the side but it would have been nice to have a thinner profile.Lastly I must mention the delivery service. This was as good as it gets. You schedule a day and time slot. They call as they are coming to which was nice. There were 2 men that carried the TV into my house. They unboxed it, put on the legs (I'm not mounting this on the wall), put it exactly where I wanted it, then removed the box and all packing material and took it with them. Just awesome.Overall I don't think you can get a better TV and delivery service for the money. A high end 65" 1080p TV with a 240 refresh rate? Come on now. Enjoy!UPDATE: Now that I've had the TV for a few weeks I can say it is really one of the top I've owned. Again, while not 4k, the picture is outstanding. Blacks are deep, and no pixelation, stutter, or any issues at all. I'm very happy with this purchase, and I think you'd be hard pressed to find any TV of this quality for this price. Hope this helps.
Great tv

One thing i like that is and improvement over the previous generation is the fact that the Netflix, I heart radio and Amazon buttons work as power button also. The remote control designed in wonderful! TV picture is great.
Awesome TV.

Awesome TV! Great picture. Awesome veiwing angle. This TV is huge! The remote doesn't have a qwerty keyboard like the m-series remotes, but that's fine. I didnt really need it anyways. The stand or legs of this TV are far apart. If your going to stand this TV up on a TV stand or something, the stand needs to be at least 4.5 feet long.

Crisp clear sound and reasonable price cannot be beat!
January 21, 2017
I purchased this VIZIO sound bar after reading many of the reviews on Amazon. I was not disappointed. I had received a new 60 inch Vizio TV for Christmas, but gosh golly geez I had to crank the sound up to 50+ to hear much of anything. I went on the hunt for a solution and was surprised to see this sound bar also made by Vizio on Amazon with some of the highest reviews amongst available sound bars. The Bluetooth on the bar was very appealing. The price was on point for what I was looking to spend so I decided to give this bad boy a try.The initial setup was pretty straight forward and the included instruction manual was very clear. I initially tried using the included optical cable hooked into my TV, but the sound was hit or miss. Sometimes the sound would come out of the TV sometimes it would come out of the sound bar. I decided to give it one last try with the other included cables and now it works perfectly! I found the sound to be very crisp and consistent. When I use Spotify on the sound bar the music sounds great as well. I would definitely recommend this sound bar to anyone looking for a reasonably priced bar for their new or old TV.
Great sounding soundbar if you just take 5 minutes to adjust the settings!
August 22, 2016
I saw all of these other more negative reviews, and wanted to post my experience. Also note that I got this on an Amazon Goldbox deal for $52, so my review is based on this price point.Firstly, the soundbar was packaged well, wrapped in foam with foam pieces around the end, and the box itself shipped in a larger box with paper padding. The soundbar looks new - no evidence of any prior owners like you sometimes get with refurbished products. The remote was wrapped, with separate wrapped batteries. It came with a digital optical cable, a digital coaxial cable, and stereo (red/white) RCA cables, so that you could hook it up no matter what output your TV supports (they get extra points for coming with a digital optical cable! Even my 5.1 surround Samsung unit didn't come with one).Setup was easy, and it perfectly matches the horizontal space my 32" LG TV takes up (the soundbar was for a smaller TV in the bedroom with a Chromecast hooked up to it). I simply plugged the provided digital optical cable into my TV's optical output, and into the input on the soundbar, then plugged the soundbar into the wall.I started casting some music to the Chromecast, and the soundbar switched to the appropriate input automatically. The sound quality is leaps and bounds over the built in speakers of my LG TV. I read the instruction manual (took ~5 minutes - very well written manual - clear and concise), and tweaked the sound a bit. Bass and Treble can be adjusted -6/0/+6, and the settings that sounded best to my ears were +4 Bass (to compensate for no subwoofer) and +1 Treble. With these settings you get a surprisingly large amount of Bass (certainly more than my TV speakers provided) and very clear highs and mids. I only have the soundbar turned up to maybe 10% of the maximum volume and it's plenty loud - the power this little bar can put out is good. I also have the DTS TruVolume option turned on, since it's for the bedroom and this allows me to keep the volume quiter on the soundbar while still hearing the lower volume parts of a show/movie. The DTS TruSurround I kept turned off - I didn't like how it sounded. That's my one true negative - the TruSurround option just makes the sound more muddled - you lose the bass even if you crank it to +6, and it mixes the treble and mid more closely together. I didn't buy the bar for a surround sound replacement though, so I won't remove a star.Perfectly for me, my LG remote's power button and volume buttons turn on/off the soundbar and turn the volume up/down. So turning on/off my TV also turns on/off the soundbar, and I can use my TV remote to change the volume, so after setup I was able to stow the soundbar remote away. The remote has a Bluetooth pairing button on it, but the top of the soundbar does as well, so I wasn't losing that functionality. Speaking of the Bluetooth pairing, it was simple. Hold the Bluetooth button down for 5 seconds, and the soundbar's LEDs start running up and down, letting you know it's in "pairing" mode. My phone saw it right way, and paired immediately. Range seems about the same as my Amazon Echo - just fine. I don't see myself using the Bluetooth feature often with the Chromecast, but I wanted to test it for this review.I think the negative reviews for this product didn't know how to set it up properly. For 2.0 units you should always (in my opinion) tweak the treble/bass settings to accommodate for the missing woofer. This unit makes it so easy to do too. Also, my LG TV's audio options (fake surround, ClearVoice, etc.) were initially affecting the output to the soundbar, making it sound much worse. I went into the audio options and disabled the TV speakers (which disabled these additional options) and the audio coming out of this soundbar is excellent now. Other reviewers need to be cognizant of the fact that your TV's audio settings may be affecting the quality of the sound pushed to the soundbar, and since most are designed for the tinny television speakers in the TV, it makes the sound coming out of the bar worse. All in all, for $52, this is a great unit if you're looking to add great sound to a smaller TV set (fits my 32" TV exactly). Has great volume range, sounds great, has Bluetooth, and (for me at least) works with my television remote, so I don't have to keep two remotes on my nightstand. If you can find it on sale again, it's definitely worth the price. It might even be worth the regular $99, though I haven't researched what else is available at the price range - there may be better options. For $52 though, you can't go wrong with this Vizio.P.S. - even though the soundbar doesn't come with a subwoofer, it still has a subwoofer output. This means at any point in the future, if you buy an RCA powered subwoofer, you can add it to this soundbar to turn it from a 2.0 setup into a 2.1. I like that it has the option.
Issues: Shuts off sound randomly BUT PROBLEM SOLVED
May 28, 2016
I bought this for my fiance's birthday today. Below is my post previous to finding on google an Amazon post back in 2013 that helped us resolve the issue. Read what our problem was then I posted below a review I found through google that helped us solve. So anyone with this problem read my entire post. On 5-28-2016: Hooked up today and already having issues. Hooked it up to my 65inch Samsung TV and whenever we rewind or fast-forward on the DVR the sound bar sound cuts off the sound completely but the sound bar is still on. In order to fix the issue we have to turn off the TV and then turn the TV back on. This has happened 6 times in the past 3 hours that we have had it hooked up. I am very disappointed. I think I will send this back and get a different brand. SOLUTION FOUND On 5-29-2016: ATTENTION PEOPLE WHO CAN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO PREVENT THE SOUND BAR FROM GOING SILENT INBETWEEN CHANNEL CHANGING/inbetween cutscenes in a game:::I have seen several people mention that they dislike how the sound bar automatically seems to turn off the moment it stops receiving any audio signal, even if it's very brief. I have even read how some customers ended up returning the product because they couldn't figure out how to turn off this feature. Reading the manual I found the solution where I least expected it. You can turn off this automatic default feature by turning off the VZtv Rmt setting. For some reason, they combined the automatic sound bar turn off with the VIZIO TV remote setting. Anyways, once you turn it off the soundbar no longer automatically turns off when changing channels or in-between custcenes while playing a game.As for the rest of the product: It's great as long as you plug it in correctly. If you do not see the DOLBY DIGITAL /DTS light when you turn on your sound bar and TV, then it's because your tv is not outputting true 5.1 sound. Yes, your sound bar will automatically create a faux 5.1 surround, but for the real 5.1 quality you will have to connect your soundbar directly to whatever you are using to stream or play movies and not the TV.Something else I haven't seen other users mention is how shows you may be watching via a streaming service, such as Netflix and Crunchyroll, will not output true 5.1 even though all the settings are set up correctly and the soundbar is lit up with the DOLBY/DTS light. It seems to be because the show you are trying to stream isn't calibrated to output at true 5.1 for whatever reason and you end up not having any output in the satellite speakers. To get around this I take advantage of the previously mentioned faux 5.1 surround that you hear when you connect your soundbar directly to the tv.This is how my setup works so that I choose between true 5.1 and the faux 5.1 depending on what I'm watching:I have both my PC and my PS4 connected to my TV.I have my Sound Bar connected via optical cable to my PS4 for true 5.1, which I use for playing games, movies, and streaming services.Additionally I have component cables connecting my sound bar to my TV for when something I am streaming on my PS4 isn't outputting true 5.1 and I want to switch to the faux 5.1, or for when I am using my TV to watch content I downloaded on my PC. You will have to change some computer settings to have your PC send audio signal to your TV for the component cables to pickup and send to the Soundbar.Just use the remote control to switch which input you want to use for sound for what you watching (Optical Cable for true 5.1, Aux for faux 5.1).You'll want to pump up most of the sound settings from 7 to like 9s and 11s though to get the best sound output.NOTE:::: When I connected my Sound Bar directly to my PS4, I noticed the TV was no longer in sync to the sound. This was quickly resolved by locating and selecting the "GAME (standard)" viewing mode on my tv. Apparently if your TV has some special effects that it applies to what you are viewing, it may cause the picture to go out of sync with the sound. Selecting the GAME view mode on your TV automatically disables any special effects your TV may be trying to apply so that it resolves any sync issues.Well that about covers it. I tried to discuss the technical stuff that I didn't see other users mention. It's a great buy and great value. Great product. 5stars.
Great Sound and Great Price! Be sure to buy the optical toslink cable for hook up!
October 23, 2015
Good sound upgrade from our new LG TV; can hear netflex dialogue much better with this sound bar! Be sure to buy the additional Amazon Basics Digital Optical Audo toslink cable that is necessary to hook up to back of your TV and to this sound bar. This sound bar does not have an HDMI slot, so do not order one. We struggled with how to connect the sound bar as only the red and white and a yellow analog cable was sent. This caused us a big of confusion at the beginning! We wanted the digital hook-up so had to then order the above optical toslink cable;suggestion, buy the one for $5.49 as No one bestseller as advertised on Amazon. At first we had TV sound and that was great but when we put on netflex NO sound!, So had to go into the TV settings, then audio, then take it off TV speakers and scroll down past external speakers and on the LG TV put it on the fourth one down LG sinc optical! Walla, then it brought in the netflex sound. On the other settings no sound when we put on netflex! Took a bit for us to get it set up, but happy now and the Amazon Tech. support is great, very patient with the older folks! Call them and they will guide you through it all! Hope this saves someone a little of hook-up frustration and an easier path! Best part for us the 29" is small and the sound it great!!
29 inch Vizio sound bar
July 1, 2015
Awesome addition to our 50 inch Vizio TV. Very easy to mount it to the wall. It seriously took my husband like 10 minutes and we had this up and running. I LOVE that when I turn my TV on(with my TV remote) it turns the sound bar on automatically and I can use my TV remote to adjust the volume on the sound bar!!!!!! We use this in our bedroom, and it's perfect.
SUPER EASY
May 21, 2015
I received my speaker in 2 days. Took me 1 hour to completely install and teach myself the remote control options. My $1,200 samsung TV's sound was good for MOST tv shows and sporting events BUT when I watched public tv and the english progamming I couldnt understand what people like Sherlock Holmes, the detective masterpiece mysteries and most all of the "kings and queens" movies, the accent was hard to understand. With this product I understand ALL the dialog. With this sound bar you can not only get digital audio but also trebel, bass, surround and subwoofer all easy access. It sounds better than my stereo speakers on my stereo music receivers. Small, easy to operate, easy to install (I'm 69 years old) its just great, now I can watch all my favorite shows and understand every word.

Fortunately for me
March 20, 2016
When I received the TV, it worked for one day and then wouldn't turn on anymore. I skipped calling Amazon (I bought this TV from Amazon Warehouse) and went straight to VIZIO in hopes that the TV was still under warranty. Fortunately for me, it was under warranty and they paid for a local repairman to come to my house and fix it. The TV now works as if it was brand new. The only reason I give it four stars was because it was broken upon arrival. Aside from my initial hiccup, I love this TV and would recommend it for the price.
Good picture, subpar sound
February 28, 2016
Picture on this set looks great and the input lag is low for playing games (when set to game mode) which is what I bought it for. the sound can be difficult to hear unless turned up quite a bit so I usually turn on a stereo to make up for it--this was a known issue going in so I can't complain too much about it.The apps seem a little clunky/underpowered/laggy; they take longer than I'd like to boot and if I, for example, start a YouTube video on my iPad and stream it to the TV it will launch the YouTube app, hesitate for a moment like it's going to play the video then load the standard interface like I just launched the app on the TV. Pushing play on the iPad again will show a pop-up w/ a play button which will then play the video on the TV--kinda weird behavior, but a minor inconvenience.
Really nice TV for this price point
September 10, 2015
This is a great TV without a doubt, picture quality is very good especially after you tweak it a bit. A great feature is the audio digital out which delivers bitstream regardless of source so the receiver can decode whatever comes in. My [more expensive] Samsung cannot do this and delivers only PCM or DTS:Neo for the apps like Netflix etc.Having the 2 feet make it more stable for such a big screen if you dont wall mount and the small frame looks really good. The remote is not the best with no backlight and squishy buttons but I used a Harmony universal remote anyway so no biggie for me. I got this for a family member and wish I had kept this one and given them the Samsung which says it all really.
So "Smart", it forgot how to TV

This TV worked great, for 2 days. Then it just started freezing after you start it and try to execute any menu commands. I called customer service (Vizio) and the troubleshooting steps verified that it was defective. No repairs or replacement options are available for this model, so they've told me I have to send them pictures proving the TV freezes (aren't all pictures frozen?) along with proof of purchase and they'll let me know what's next. I'll update the post once I learn more.My primary mistake: I tossed the box to the TV after a couple of days of it working. If I hadn't, maybe I could have just returned it through the more friendly Amazon method :(**Update: After awaiting a promised call from Vizio that never came, i contacted them and they instructed me to mail them the TV back for a refund . No prepaid shipping or anything. I decided to call Amazon and they were brilliant. Replaced the TV and provided return labels for the busted one!My replacement hasn't had any issues. I suspect that my original froze when I connected it to my PC via the Plex app to use it as a media server. I didn't set that up on my replacement TV and haven't had any issues. That may not have been the cause, but I thought I'd share in case it helps anyone.**12/2015 UPDATE**So far, no issues with the replacement TV. I watch Hulu, Netflix, Amazon VOD, Crackle and even movies off of my USB drive (MP4 format) and haven't had any issues. Bumped the rating up to 4 stars now. Still can't give 5 because of the poor customer support from Vizio.**12/2016 UPDATE**Still using the TV and it works great. Someone on YouTube found a fix for my original issue, which involves resetting the TV's network card, but i haven't needed it. Really love being able to play movies off of a flash drive!
Buy, buy, buy!

I've had this television for about a week now, and all in all, it's definitely a worthwhile purchase. But with all its pros come some cons. So let's break this package down, and take a look at why you should buy this TV if you're in the market for a thirty-two-inch, and why you should be prepared to not completely love it.First, the pros--1. This television's wireless. No Roku, no Chromecast, no Fire TV needed. You just open up the settings, find your network, plug in your password, and...voila. You're ready to be disappointed by the latest season of Orange is the New Black.2. This television has a native refresh rate of one-hundred-twenty hertz, with a simulated refresh of--I think--two-forty.That's not something you see in a lot of thirty-two inch budget sets. Most sit at around sixty hertz, which is fine if you'd like to pretend you're living in 1847, but this modern America, dagnabit. I want my one-hundred-twenty hertz of smooth motion goodness, and I'm not settling for anything less. And speaking of picture quality...3. It's 1080p. Says it right in the title, but I thought I'd remind you in case you'd forgotten already.4. It's cheap! And I don't mean cheap in terms of build-quality. That's actually pretty good, which I'll elaborate on in my next point. No, when I say cheap, I mean most sets with these specs at this size would be going for AT LEAST a hundred dollars more. And even most of the ones sitting at THAT price range will be trading off for either 720p or sixty hertz to keep the price down. What Vizio's offering here is an amazing deal, and Amazon's sweetened the pot with an extra ten dollars off for Prime members. Even Costco isn't selling them that cheap. Then again, you can't pick up a hot dog and a drink for a dollar-fifty while you're on Amazon. Or at least, you shouldn't.5. The build quality--it's actually pretty good.6. The smart menu's easy to access, unobtrusive, and looks about as good as a smart menu can look.Okay, now, on to the cons--1. The smart menu feels a little cluttered. It's got a lot of apps most people won't need, and despite an admittedly short time playing with it, I have yet to figure out how to remove the ones I don't use.2. For having such great specs, the picture quality on this TV doesn't blow me away the same way my fifty does or my old forty. I'm not sure why that is--maybe it's a setting I've missed--but that realism just isn't there to the same degree.3. It's thick. Not huge, mind you, but thicker than some of its counterparts. Did this bother me? No. But for some, I know, thickness is a big factor, either for practical reasons or bragging rights. Because, you know...that's a thing, I guess.4. There's no digital audio out. There's optical, sure, because that's the future. And there's RCA, because...that's the past? But my RS-160s are located in the present, and they operate on digital. Now, this obviously isn't a HUGE deal, since you can spend thirteen dollars to convert your optical to digital, or spent four and change on some RCA adapters, but if you use headphones or a sound system reliant on a digital audio out port, be sure you order some kind of adapter to get it working with this set right out of the box. Because apparently, RCA's still a big deal, but your headphones are a thing of the past.In conclusion, this is an amazing deal for a great TV, and despite some very minor flaws, I'd recommend this to anyone looking to spruce up their dorm room, bedroom, office, or studio with a sleek budget television.
Great set! Not perfect, but great!
April 25, 2015
I purchased this set on tuesday and after a few days I am going to do a short review. I will update next week after I have had more time with the settings.Overall it is a very good set. Picture is great, features are great and it looks awesome mounted on my wall. I like the minimal design, I like the minimal remote as well, even though most people seem to be upset there isn't a keyboard. The only function button on the TV itself is a small power button on the rear of the set, near the HDMI ports, for turning it on and off. I am fine with that, as I have several remotes that program and I don't plane on "Losing" the remote like some reviewers are worried about. (see: too lazy to look for it). here's a couple of categories:Design: 5/5The bezel is thin, and sexy. The set itself not thick depth-wise, but not too thin either. It weighs about 55 pounds and is easy to move around. The Vizio badging is in the bottom right corner, and is very minimal and classy. I'm so glad they no longer do the lit up Vizio emblems. The screen itself has a matte finish, and hides glare definition, but no all the glare. If you have an open window directly across from it, it will show. But at least it only shows as a glare, not defined images. This should be expected, and the matte screen hels a lot.Picture 5/5The picture is outstanding. I'm talking overall picture here, not the clear motion and added bells and whistles, I'll get to that later. As for the picture, each preset color/contrast setting is done very well. I primarily use the VIVID setting, as it is the brightest, and the colors just pop on the screen. HD content is phenomal. This is what 1080p was designed for. I'm talking true 1080p content. Not HD ota channels, and not netflix over Wifi, (i'll explain in a minute.) I'm talking blu ray discs, or native 1080p video files direct on USB drives. It looks phenomenal. We watched Noah and Malifecent on the USB drive in 1080 format, and it was ultra realistic, and the colors were amazing. All the settings help each scene or movie type look better. Let's understand one thing though, you cannot just run the complete factory settings on ANY TV. You have to adjust them for your living room, for your movies, and for your liking. This applies to all televisions. They are NOT iphones. They don't set themselves up. They have basic general settings, and they look fine, but to get it to look as good as they do in the store or online, you need to make some adjustments. If you're making a 1000+ dollar investment, you should learn how to use it. Not all the settings or features are for everybody. That brings me to the next topicPicture add ons 3/5Don't get me wrong, I know somebody likes the clear motion stuff, I just don't like it very much. That being said, I;m basing my score on it's functionality on this set, not my preference. Clear motion works amazing with native 1080p content, at the proper frame rate. That means Blu ray, USB video files, Ps4 content (except for FPS games) it runs clear and looks good. I have my PS4 wired with an ethernet, and the non native 1090p streaming app videos look good too, but any streaming 1080 videos that rely on bandwidth for their resolution it just looks cheap like a soap opera and all the defects are put on larger display. While I understand this is an overall Wifi issue, it is more prevelant because of the clear motion, and it just isn't there yet in terms of making the picture look better. If the processor somehow could detect settings and slow itself down, it'd be much better. As for video games, in 1080p at 30fps destiny looks amazing normally, but the clear motion caused so much clipping and dizziness it was unplayable. Do not expect to play high frame rate games at 1080p with clear motion. The jagging and clipping is brought out even more, because the processor thinks you are missing frames and adds frames where they aren't there. Same thing goes with the black detailer and the noise reduction engine. Anytime the signal coming in is questionable (high framte rate, low bandwidth streaming on wifi) you will notice pixelation and blockiness. It's not the TV, its the data and the technology. It's trying to make up for missing information, and it just doesn't work. I gave this a lower score as a result of the technology itself, still not being there. To be fair I haven't seen it work properly across all platforms with ANY TV, even the hgih end sets. AS for the local dimming feature, I notice the blacks look very deep and dark, but I don't have anything to compare them to as I came from a plasma set that had the same deep blacks as this set. The contrast on this set is phenomenal.Video Games 5/5Once I tweaked the settings, raised the framerate and changed the contrast settings, this TV actually makes my PS4 games look BETTER. The ms delay is unnoaticable. This is me coming from High end Samsung plasma with almost no delay, and moving to an LED and this latency is EVEN BETTER. You just have to remember to turn off clear motion, and turn off film mode, turn on game mode, and adjust the frame rate setting to HIGH. Advanced warfare looks real. Destiny looks like a CGI movie being played, and its insane how vivid and clear the colors are. Blacks are intense and deep too. Once the settings are correct, there is no clipping at all, and its playing at 30fps the whole time. This is only possible with an ethernet connection, I wouldnt risk it with a Wifi connection unless you're playing a game that isn't online based.Apps 2/5Here's where it goes bad. Vizio apps have always gotten the job done, but not been flashy. While on this set they certainly still do, they are starting to feel aged. The app button is nice, and scrolling through the wheel (although slow) it has all the apps a few presses away. What concerns me in this category is that they have a netflix button, an Amazon button, ....and an Iheart radio button? Who needs that at one press? Ever? It's 2015 and the third button should ALWAYS be a HULU button. If not, then just give us stickers with the remote and let us program the buttons ourselves. I'm still not sure if you can or can't program each one, I'll update if that changes. As for the apps themselvs, they fell just like the console apps on PS4 or Xbox, and are slightly better than the versions available on Roku. The app list however.... is much to be desired. No WWE network, No FxNow, No Mlb.tv, No Sunday Ticket, and lastly, NO web Browser. It also has no current option for "throwing" or "casting" from your mobile device, which is something I think they should start adding to these sets. The app fucntions themselves render using the app menu over my Ps4 fairly useless, at least until I get an ethernet cable ran to my TV now too. I have a gaming router, and it doesn't matter where you are or who you are, wifi is not better than a wire. Streaming varies on signal strength and everything from cell phones to microwaves can screw up your signal at any time. One other thing I'm having issue with, the netflix app, whenever it goes on to the next episode after it plays one, the next episode comes up and it puts it in a PIP window in the top left. If i pause, the netflix menu is still full screen, but the picture image is in the top left. Weird. I'm certain its the app, not the set, because it only happens to netflix.Compatibiliy 5/5This set plays all the video files i have on my network drive, and works with every connection I have hooked up to it. I just wish it had that option to throw my Experia data to it. Guess I need a Chromecast.Sound 4/5The speakers are kind of low volume, but to their credit, the sound is accurate and has a depth to it. You have to turn the volume up past 50 to start hearing talking parts, and that's kind of wierd for me, so i'm not giving full stars there. Lets be honest though, don't expect much out of a flat screen tv sound wise. If you're not pairing a flat screen with a surround sound or at least sound bar, thats your mistake, or its in a room where sound isn't an issue for you.Price 5/5It says it all. There is no tv with this kind of picture, this size, in this price range, Brand new. Period. Vizio owns that market.Overall, for me its a 5/5. For everyone else, being fair, a 4/5.Its a great set, I dont regret my purchase at all. It looks great, and sounds great. it does everything you can expect it to. It only lost that final star because the apps leave a little to be desired, the extra processing options don't do anything for me personally, and I'm being fair. They don't apply to me, so for me this set is perfect. This set is worth more than what they're charging.I will update any changes or if I learn more.Any questions, just ask!

May 25, 2017
Sounds excellent and was a significant upgrade to our crappy samsung built-in speakers. That said, when watching movies and some tv shows with multiple audio channels, the soundtrack/BG music can be much louder than the voices, which is annoying, since there are no advanced equalization or audio customization options.
Thanks for saving my TV!

Got a new tv and the sound was pretty crappy. SO my usual cure for anything is Amazon, which led me to this. Bought it, LOVE it and can finally hear every single episode of SVU! Now if only football season would hurry up, I am so ready to use it even more for that!!! Not too big and annoying and easy to use and I didn't find the price bad either!
It looks beautiful, but the built in speakers are
June 19, 2016
I have a LG 34UM94-P "Ultrawide" 21:9 34" display attached to my 27" iMac. It looks beautiful, but the built in speakers are, well... built in speakers. They can't handle much and I like to listen to music and often, to watch movies in glorious 21:9 aspect ratio (No black bars anywhere!). The display is on an ergotron articulated arm for a zero footprint, adjustable effect. Desktop speakers aren't what's called for here and I'm not after a true surround installation, 2[.1] is just fine, DTS TruSurround is a good compromise.Given the very favorable reviews and extremely modest price of this Vizero SB2920-C6 29" 2.0 Channel (w/ subwoofer output) soundbar, I decided to take a chance, I am not disappointed. I purchased the Mounting Dream MD5420 Sound Bar Bracket Universal Sound Bar TV Mount hoping it would work and it almost didn't. However I found that by dispensing with the base mount arms and bolting together the two sets of long and short secondary arms it worked *perfectly*. I am quite pleased at the result, wherever I swing the display, the soundbar moves with it and the sound placement is thus perfect for videos, audio and video conferencing (I have a Logitech C930 stacked on top) and of course it enhances the music experience while working.NOTE: The combination of the display, mount and soundbar are somewhat taxing on the Ergotron LX articulated mount, I had to tighten the adjustment to the point I was worried that it would not have the range and I might break it. However I found a point where it seems to be working out fine. I'll update this review if anything fails. The next step will be to locate a modest subwoofer that I can place behind the desk and cable into the subwoofer output on the soundbar. The upgrade to 2.1 audio will be a swell enhancement to this successful project.
Nightmare Install. Thanks a lot, Verizon.
June 15, 2016
I really like this sound bar. The quality is terrific for the price. But the install was a freaking nightmare.I've got Verizon. Apparently, the audio output isn't in PCM. It was a disaster to switch over. Figuring out the problem took a long time. Was it the sound bar? My TV? The optical cable? The scientific method got a lot of use.Vizio, Sony (I have a Bravia) and Verizon couldn't help me. I called all three. I spent a lot of time problem-solving this. Too much time. I've aged quite a bit. There are some decent resources online to help, but this is really a mystery. Most reviewers have said this is an easy install, and, frankly, it should be a piece of cake. But my piece of cake took over ten hours.Basically, once you can figure out how to convert your devices to PCM, you're golden. But... my Sony Bravia doesn't have an option for that. The Verizon setting for that is on their "secret screen," which is a riddle to find ("press this button twice, then this button, then pray, or try again"). And nobody can really help you (unless you have both a Vizio TV and Vizio sound bar).I would buy this again. I'm now a semi-expert at all the audio device formats and outputs. But I'd prefer to have the time I spent on this back.
Great value!

Hey this thing is a nifty little speaker with better than average sound - and for this price, you really can't go wrong. No it isn't as good as whatever you'll find from the more expensive models, but if you're looking in this price range you're probably not expecting that anyway. This baby will do the job for 90% of the people out there, so buy without hesitation. Movies sound great with fantastic detail and clarity. One con that you should be aware of...the sound bar was shipped in its original packaging with no shipping packaging and was dropped off outside my apartment door, meaning that anyone who walked by would be able to see exactly what it was from the picture on the box. Luckily I have trustworthy neighbors, but if you do not, this would be one major consideration. You might want to have it shipped someplace else more secure, if you can.
then this 29-inch Vizio sound bar has to be one of the very best on the market
August 29, 2015
If you want to replace the typically "tinny" and "echoey" sound of your LED TV's internal speakers with much clearer sound that includes a realistic level of base reproduction...at a reasonable price...then this 29-inch Vizio sound bar has to be one of the very best on the market, dollar-for-dollar. There are only two reasons I haven't given it five stars: first reason is that the top end of its loudness range seems to be reached rather quickly when I occasionally feel a need to pot up the volume level to its maximum level...such as when there are noisy surroundings or when I'm more than 10-12 feet or so away from the TV/sound bar. (But I'm also hard of hearing, so I suspect most "normal" people might not find that to be an issue; and I don't either when I'm watching the 29-inch TV from my normal listening range of about 8-9 feet away from the sound bar.) Having said all that about what I believe is a very respectable (or "realistic") base capability of this sound bar...and about it's somewhat limited top volume level...I would NOT recommend this sound bar to anyone who likes to rupture their eardrums or feel base vibrations that rattle the floor-boards! This is a very satisfying, realistic-sounding sound bar meant for folks who just want good clear sound at normal hearing levels. The second issue I had was during the set-up procedure...and although the instruction manual told me to make sure to set my audio selection to one setting, after quite a lengthy, frustrating process that produced no sound at all, I finally tried the "raw" setting, which DID get the desired audio results. One final comment...this sound bar was purchased after I did a LOT of online research and reading of reviews...and I'm very pleased with my purchase of this model, especially at this relatively low price, as sound bar prices go. But it still irks me (this being my FIRST LED TV to which I needed to mate a sound bar for decent audio) that these TV manufacturers can't simply design their TV sets with better INTEGRATED/internal speaker systems! My old CRT TVs costing half the price of even the cheapest LED TVs produce very acceptable audio...maybe it's time the manufacturers start designing LED TV housings that include an extra 3-inches of height to house front-facing internal speakers with at least modestly respectable base range capabilities!!!!!!

Really love being able to play movies off of a flash drive!

nice thin bezel
April 22, 2015
The TV is very good-looking, nice thin bezel, easy to assemble, and very light. Picture quality is definitely sufficient for the price, and I haven't even had time to tweak it manually yet. My first issue is minor, and it is that it does not support a 5.0GHz wireless band, which is what I like to use for my streaming devices.Second though, was that upon selecting picture presets, the back of the TV(not the speakers) started to hum depending on the setting. After playing with it, it appears that the Auto Brightness Control setting is causing the hum to get louder or change tone. Only the Vivid and Computer setting would not hum, and the Auto Brightness Control is set to OFF in those settings, but in all of the others, it is set to low, med, or hi, and the hum becomes louder the higher you get. Turning ON the Auto Brightness Control on Vivid or Computer mode will cause it to start humming again, and weirdly, turning it OFF on the other presets causes it to hum the loudest, no rhyme or reason really. I want to get this issue fixed instead of just sticking with Vivid or Computer mode all of the time.I got in touch with Vizio support, and they were very quick and helpful, I have scheduled an on-site swap, at which point I will update this review.5/11/15 Update: Their contracted shipper came and swapped out the TV, they hung around a few minutes so I could plug it in and test it, there was no hum on this one at all, so it seems like the original one was just a dud.

It's ok.
August 2, 2016
Pros: Good picture. Loaded with features. The amazon and netflix buttons help get me where I want to go. The remote is laid out very well. Button positioning makes sense where on other remotes it does not.Cons: Tends to freeze up after more than 2 - 3 hours of watching TV. Sound quality is ok at best. I have it mounted about 3 inches from the wall. initially it was about 1 inch from the wall and the sound was terrible. If I did a 2 month in home trial and had the option to return it I would have. I've had this for about 7 months and there are days where I hate this TV and there are days when I think, it was inexpensive, the picture is pretty good and you got what you paid for. I have yet to think, wow this TV is awesome. So if you're looking for a decent TV at a good price this might be the one. If you're looking for a TV with excellent picture and sound, move along, move along.
Picture quality noticeably worse than upper end TVs.
June 20, 2016
Just a little background but I have previously owned Sony Bravia series, Samsung and LG TVs, the top end television brands. I was also a professional photographer and have spent hundreds of hours color correcting images. I also took a semester in college of color theory. So, although I am not a LED TV expert, I do know a lot about images, color and sharpness. The image on this television leans too much to the cyan side (cool blue color). Additionally, the clarity and pixel density appear to be lower than the more premium brands. Not all 1080ps are equal. Some televisions more efficiently display 1080p than others. When I tried to correct for the cyan it didn't quite color correct and went into the reds too much (the opposite of cyan). The color didn't really balance. To this TV's credit computer cartoons like "UP" or "Ice Age" look really good. Video games also look really good on this set. Computer generated cartoons and video games looked as clear, bright and colorful as any premium TV, however it was live action shots that had issues. This might not be an issue for some people and they may not be color snobs like me. However, if your previous TV was a premium one and you are expecting the same image quality here, then you should manage your expectations. The image, in most cases, will be somewhat noticeably inferior. If this is your first television (and you've never owned a premium brand TV before), then you probably won't notice it.Another issue with this television is that although the Smart TV user interface and functionality is good, the WiFi receiver on this thing is bad (as others have said). Okay, my WiFi router isn't very close, but I had to attach a Roku to this thing to get a decent signal. The Roku 2's WiFi receiver is infinitely better than Vizio's internal WiFi receiver. I don't understand the point of having good Smart TV functionality if you are gonna stick a bad WiFi receiver onto your TV? Anyways, just saying your WiFi router better be close. Real close or you'll need to ditch this TV's Smart functions and get yourself a Roku.Overall, in this world, you get what you pay for. This TV, in my opinion, is just good and okay. Three, maybe three and a half, stars.

This TV is ok after I got it to work; however, there are some things a buyer should know before purchasing:a) The TV is thicker than one might expect for a flat screen LCD display in 2016b) The remote is a bit clunky and slow in responsivenessc) The Amazon button doesn't do anythingd) I don't know why there is an iHeart radio button on the remote; it should be dedicated to Hulu (much more likely to be useful)e) The V button on the remote is supposed to show a full apps menu when double clicked: instead it is not possible to get the full apps menu as described in the quick guide.f) Setting up Internet seems pretty straightforward and the image quality is decent, so yay for that.g) If you, like me, don't care about setting up the TV for cable, antenna, or other and instead skip that part of the setup, beware: the TV apparently doesn't allow you to setup your apps unless you go through the TV channel guide scan first. Every time I tried to set up Netflix, it kept telling me to set up my Internet even though I had already done that, and I tried with both Ethernet cable and WiFi. Same results for Amazon and Hulu. It wasn't until I figured a moron had perhaps programmed the setup process that I decided to go through the TV antenna channel scan first, then turned off the TV (very important), then turned it back on again, and then tried to set up Netflix that it actually gave me the expected login screen for Netflix. After setting up Netflix, I tried the Amazon app, which again told me to set up my Internet. I again turned the TV off, waited a minute, turned it back on again, and voila, I was presented with the Amazon login screen. Then Hulu, and I was done. Now I am able finally to use the TV as expected, but... if you think, like me, that this should have been a much better experience, I would probably avoid this TV in favor of a Samsung or Sony or Sharp. At this point, I don't think I will return the TV since I got it working, but if I had known, I would have avoided this TV and bought something from a more reputable brand than Vizio. You will undoubtedly end up paying more, but probably getting a better product.
Great picture but needs updating
December 6, 2015
Great picture, Very easy set up. Loved that it had amazon and netflix built right into it plus many more apps but they seem very outdated and do not work very well. The built in wifi is not very good and when we do use the built in apps they do not run well and are very fuzzy. We had to end up connecting our apple tv for a better picture to use the same apps that the built in firestick had. The tv does have an ethernet port in the back but it's not a practical position because not many people will have internet directly behind their tv. On a positive note all the connections in the back hdmi, power, component are all pointing down making it easily mountable.
Decent, but it's watching you
November 28, 2015
First: a major complaint: the default setting lets your TV watch YOU. I don't want my viewing habits passed along to the manufacturer and marketers, so I turned off that setting. But I only learned about this "feature" by reading something in a tech article. Shame on VIZIO and other manufacturers who are doing this. It's completely slimy, and I probably wouldn't purchase from VIZIO again. That said, the TV works well, has a good picture quality, and was relatively easy to set up. I've had some trouble with the "smart" functions; it doesn't play nicely with my DirecTV remote, and the remote that comes with it is ridiculously complicated, hard to see, and generally annoys me on a regular basis. I end up using my DirecTV remote because at least I can see what's on it.The sound is mediocre at best, but I use headphones much of the time so that's less of a problem. I'd strongly suggest purchasing separate audio equipment.

I read a few of the reviews before buying this product, so I was aware of the issues. My daughters loves it. Out of the box I had issues with setting the internet connection, I had to reset back to factory default several times with support on the phone. I got the Amazon Prime app to connect once, has not work since. Netflix works fine. My primary issue with the TV is the wireless connection, when I read the others who had problem with WIFI I regretfully dismissed it as people who are non-technical since my primary job is a Wireless Engineer, well guess what the WIFI sucks on the TV, I had to run a RJ45 cable to TV.Technical support was very helpfully but very lacking in pieces i needed help with the most, getting Amazon Prime to work. The TV is worth the money I paid for it lacking the wireless issues.

Hit or miss

The sound is decent, but we had an issue with a blaring/static noise after only a few days. It turns out it was the optical cable. I bought a new one and it worked fine after that. That said, who wants to have to buy new cables for their new equipment. It operated with my vizio tv remote, which was great, but I haven't figured out how to operate it with my directv remote, yet. It definitely works better than using the speakers on the tv, by far.
At least better than the TV speakers
January 6, 2017
I owned a Vizio sound bar prior to buying this one and said I would not own another one because the one I had was quirky and quit completely after a couple of years. But, after reading the reviews on this one, I decided to try another one. It was delivered as promised and was well-packaged and there was no damage. Setup was relatively easy since I was familiar with the previous bar I had owned.First off, I tried the digital optimal source and it did not work even though it did on my earlier Vizio. So, I switched to the red/white connections since my TV does not have the coaxial port. I also hooked a subwoofer to it that I already had.Sound quality is so-so but is better than the TV speakers. A couple of times I have had to re-set the source detect as I was getting no sound even with all the other settings correct. No explanation for why this has happened. The bar shuts off after a period and then has to be turned on with the remote again when I turn the TV on - I had assumed it would turn on automatically, but it doesn't.All in all, the bar is acceptable, but don't expect high quality sound but sound that is better than the TV. I won't send it back as I also bought a 2 year warranty on it but because of the reviews I read here, I expected better.

The problem with this sound bar is that there is an extreme gap between "too quiet to really be audible" and "so loud it is annoying." You get what you pay for (and the price is cheap; which is why I bought it), but I wish I would have bought the bose sound bar.
worked great for the first couple minutes
June 5, 2016
It arrived yesterday, worked great for the first couple minutes. Then it stopped working and began to emit a high pitched electronic squealing sound. I turned it off and back on. It worked again for a little while, then more of the same annoying noise. Eventually it wouldn't work at all. Nothing but the high pitched noise when I turned it on. At the beginning of my trouble shooting, I tried switching from the digital optic cable to the RCA cable to see if that would fix it. The same. It would work for a couple minutes, then more electronic screeching noise. I'm returning this item and have asked for a replacement. I hope the replacement actually work.Update: amazon sent me the replacement right away. They give you 30 days to return the defective one. I must say, the replacement works great so far. It's a great addition to our 40 inch tv and the Bluetooth works with our phones too for playing music and podcasts. Great deal for the price.
decent speakers, wonderful for household noise reduction
March 27, 2016
I picked this up because my older parents were using my Samsung plasma TV and blowing out the rear speakers because my mother is hard of hearing. This plugged right into the back of the TV via digital optical cable. The sound is decent, much clearer than stock flat screen TV speakers. The audio also emanates out towards the viewer, thus, my mother can actually hear the audio much clearer on lower volume setting. The stock TV audio would buzz off of the back wall and my mother could not hear it, even though the decibels were significantly louder and seemingly clear to a normal hearing person. The sound quality is better than stock TV speakers, however, if you want a quality home theater surround sound experience, look elsewhere.I actually want to confess something: this item really helped me because I no longer hear the loud TV speakers buzzing through the walls across the house. You can only hear the TV now if you are watching television in the TV room. That alone deserves a 5/5 for my sleeping schedule.

TV Worked Fine While Under Warranty and Then Like a Bad Joke...
September 18, 2017
I am giving this TV 2 stars as when it worked properly it was just fine. Of course after the warranty expired I started having problems. You used to buy a TV and it worked for 50 years, in the modern world you feel you have done well if a TV makes it 50 weeks. To sum up my problems the TV started shutting off or losing connections just by hitting remote buttons or sometimes just on its on. The apps such as Netflix would freeze up or not connect, volume would not work, you name it and I assure you I have tried everything. I literally had to power on and off or reset the TV 10 times a day to get it to work. Again, this all started post warranty. As I write this I am watching TV without volume and again, everything has been tried. Both my Vizio and cable remote used to work the TV, now neither will communicate with the TV. All I can do is power it on by the power button on back and that is it. I think of it as a visual work of art now representing how technology now controls our lives in the modern world, not an actual TV.18 months. Sad.
Cannot Handle Hulu
October 12, 2016
TV itself isn't bad but it can't go more than 10 minutes on Hulu without freezing up. A computer and a tablet placed right next to the TV do not experience this issue and it seems isolated to the TV iteself. There are a ton of forums on this issue that I discovered only after I subscribed to Hulu. If you are a cord cutter then factor in the price of a Roku or similar device because it cannot handle Hulu at all. It does do fine with other services such as Amazon and Netflix.
Dissapointed
September 8, 2016
I liked the TV. The picture was quite good. The remote was relatively user friendly and set up was easy. Adjusting the set was a breeze. BUT, I was very disappointed when after two weeks of use the input function started to falter. I really wanted to keep the set. However, knowing the hassles of trying to get it repaired, I decided to return it for a refund before the return period lapsed. I would say that it is a good value for $450 or under. After watching prices for months I got mine for $379 (new, original box). Prices vary hugely over an extended period of time.

Hard-wired to InternetPros:-Opens Amazon Video and Netflix in less than 10secs-CheapCons:-Sound is disappointing. Constant hiss from speakers. Highs frequencies sound distorted even when using optical output to receiver.-Noticeable light bleed from one spot on upper left edge.-Difficult to get the picture to look right. Lots of background blurr with motion.-Locked-up once and only reset after unplugging.
Not a smart TV
October 18, 2015
This TV has a nice picture and is a good deal for the price but do not buy it for its smart tv features. The apps are terrible and mostly broken. Do not even think of buying this tv for the Facebook app since it's broken. Just search on the Internet for Facebook on Vizio and you will see for yourself. Also note that there are no apps available that can control the tv in leu of the remote control. That's a serious disappointment.
Vizio Not Performing As Expected
August 6, 2015
I purchased this item specifically because I stream a lot of programming over Net Flix and Amazon and the size is perfect for the space in my home office. The streamed programs buffered too frequently to make viewing enjoyable. I do not have a problem streaming content on my computer, iPhone or Kindle. I concluded the problem was with the TV. I contacted Vizio support via live chat, went through a total reset of the tv as instructed. I was then kicked off the live chat because I was evidently on with the technician too long as he said he would have to end the chat session after 3-5 minutes even though I was having work my way through a total reset up process. The problem was not resolved, and I could not get the screen size to readjust on regular broadcast programs. I believe I will constantly have problems with this TV and have decided to return it. I guess you get what you pay for.

That means this thing BEST CASE could create 5 watt total output
June 15, 2017
Sure, it "works", but the telling factor was the 5 volt 1 amp power supply. That means this thing BEST CASE could create 5 watt total output. I found that it distorts horribly if you turn the volume up to overcome ambient noise. I struggled with the input selector. The TOS link input works fine, but suddenly you can't control the sound from the TV in ANY WAY, not volume, not mute. I finally fell back to Analog from the TV that allowed both volume control and mute functions from the TV.I would NOT purchase again, but it does work so hard to just throw it away.. So far..My biggest upset is the wimpy sound output that MOSTLY reveals itself as distorted bass lines.. Turn the bass WAY down and it is still a bit better then the built in TV speakers, but honestly? Just barely.
Alright. Just don't buy for the bluetooth.
February 18, 2017
Good little cheap soundbar. Sound quality drops off past a certain volume level, but for normal everyday use, this is not a big problem. Optic cable they provide i found to be just barely long enough for my set-up. I recommend buying a longer one. The only major problem I have had is that the bluetooth won't pair easily to your device. It's actually quite f-ing ridiculous how hard it is to pair to a device. I will literally have my phone laying on top of soundbar and they won't be able to find each other. If i would have know that, I more than likely would've gotten something else. With that being said, I give it an average rating.
not worth it
February 6, 2017
this thing is a piece. it worked wonderfully when i first bought it. i connected it to my TV and also used it via bluetooth with my phone, ipad, etc. after about 2 months of light use, the bluetooth signal got shaky and would disconnect and then take a really long time to pair and then, it wouldn't pair with any bluetooth devices. now, the unite won't even work with my HDMI or AUX cord to my TV. but it would still work with my phone and ipad for music...for a little while. now, every time i plug a device into the aux, it will work for a couple minutes, then it stops. and won't work again until a day or so later. i have NO clue what the deal is. it's collecting dust under my TV now...
Didn't Work, Defective Optical output. x2
January 28, 2017
I purchased this because I needed a external speaker to hang above a couple treadmills. I didn't need anything fancy so this vizio seemed like the right choice. I purchased a 25' optical digital cable also. I am technically savvy so I had it hooked up correctly and the television set up to work with it. NO SOUND. I went through the whole hookup process again to make sure I had installed everything correctly. NO SOUND. I called Vizio's support line and the gentleman was very helpful but after an hour of tearing my house apart hooking up different devices and using different cables...NO SOUND. Not to mention he blamed my TV first. So...Vizio would replace it after they received it back, in 7-10 business days. It must be coming by stagecoach. I opted to not excersize that option but went back to Amazon for a replacement. Hooray for Amazon, they are sending a replacement in two days. BEFORE I send back the defective one. Bless you Amazon! I will update this after I install the new one. By the way I bought a 65" Vizio TV from Costco for my son and that was defective also. Took Vizio a month to come out and replace it. Boo Vizio! UPDATE: 1/30/17. I received the replacement sound bar and quickly hooked it up. WTF?? The optical cable input on the new sound bar didn't work. Got on the phone with Vizio tech support and once again jumped through hoops trying to get it to work.I've used different optical/digital cables (brand new) and two different devices ( New Samsung 65" TV and 3rd Gen Apple TV with optical; output. The sound bar would not " recognize either device. "So what to do? I bought this originally to hang above a couple treadmills in an adjoining room. Although I wanted the best sound, typically I'm just watching the morning news so sound quality isn't absolutely necessary. So after going through all this trouble I hung the sound bar up and tried it with bluetooth, which worked. The whole process has worn me out so i've decided to keep it for awhile and see if it will work out for me.Amazon is great with their returns so I've got time to give it a try. I will never purchase another Vizio product nor will I ever recommend one, regardless of price. Buyer Beware.

December 6, 2015
I liked it when we first got it, but after 3 months it suddenly started stopped working. We were watching TV and it just started buzzing. We tried different channels, and different inputs, but it just buzzes. We've restarted it, unplugged competing channels, everything we can think of. The only thing that stops the buzzing is if we "mute" it. I'm so disappointed!

They do not stand behind their warranty tv will die on you! Run!!
May 12, 2017
Don't buy from Vizio! They do not stand behind their products. Called and filed a claim within the warranty period and then started having the same problem a few months later and the tv died. They said they would replace it, but oops the warranty was no longer in effect so I got screwed out of a replacement. The screen just went crazy. It happened within warranty, but it sputtered back to life and lasted a couple more months. Just long enough to be out of warranty and even though I filed a claim within the warranty time they would not do anything about a replacement. Not a partial nothing zero zip. Go to Costco and buy a tv with a real warranty.
Broken already

TV has issues
November 4, 2016
I knew I shouldn't have bought a Vizio product. I've had this TV for a year and we hardly watch it... Maybe 3-4 times a month. My mother-in-law is staying with us now and watches TV all day... This TV turns off for no reason or starts blinking red, blue and green in the middle of TV shows. Sometimes it won't even turn on. I have to unplug it every time to get it back on track. It has decent picture and audio but its no award winner... But none of that matters if it turns off for no reason.
(Other TVs in th home work fine with Netflix)
March 31, 2016
I bought this TV to have the capability of Netflix. Netflix would not work on this TV, right out of the box. (Other TVs in th home work fine with Netflix). Vizio instructed me to return the TV for repair, which I did. That was a 2 week process. After the repair, we re- installed the TV. Netflix still would not work. I had Vizio on the phone going through each step. Finally, she states that she will have to replace the TV since it has already been 'repaired' once. What!! Another 2 week process?! This is the catch...I purchased a brand new TV, but Vizio wants to replace it with a 'certified TV' (used). If I wanted a used TV, I would have bought one at the Good Will. Vizio...never again!
make sure you get the extended warranty. you'll need it.

TV died after 60 days of use. Make sure you get the extended warranty on this device as it's likely to spend the majority of its time being shipped between your house and the repair facility. or, better yet, buy a product from a reputable manufacturer.
Bad Buy
August 17, 2015
Had to unplug and plug back in in order to turn the TV on. Once it was on, if you used one function button (i.e. volume) you could not use another function without turning the TV off and on (after unplugging and plugging back in). Very frustrating! TV is being returned!

Poor Quality, Worse Customer Service
May 30, 2017
When I first turned this on, the sound quality was great. Then, mere minutes later, the great sound quality turned into loud static. Now, every time I try and use this (not even at a high volume) I almost immediately am met with static. After going to Vizio Customer Service, they strung me along for two months until telling me they can't help and I had passed my warranty. Don't waste your time or money on this.
Terrible.
April 13, 2017
Terrible. Every once in a while the it would produce high volume screeches. Customer servive told me how to soft boot & factory reset. But of course now that the warranty has run out nothing stops the frightening sounds.
Works great til it brakes in a few months
March 24, 2017
I ordered this as a father's day gift and it actually worked really fantastically. For about 7 months. Back in the end of Feb 2017 (was purchased June of 2016) the bar starting making a horrendous high pitched buzzing noise and wouldn't play any other sounds from the TV. We had to physically unplug it. It came with a 1-year warranty, but I emailed about it when it first broke and as of today (3.24.17) I have not heard back. DO NOT BUY THIS!!
Works fine then next thing it doesn't work
January 21, 2017
Took us awhile to get sound to come out of it. Finally it was working. It sounded great. But then we change shows and it stops work again. We tried cycling power. Changing inputs. Unplugging. It doesn't work. We get it to work again hours later but the same thing happens again. I do not recommend. We are returning!!
Cuts out to a buzzing sound, returning it.
July 16, 2016
I tried plugging it in with every cable to either the Direct TV box or the TV itself. First of all, there was a delay with the sound and the TV (AQUOS Sharp 60"). Secondly, the speakers to the sound bar would suddenly cut out randomly into a buzzing sound. This happened at varying times, but usually within a minute of turning the sound bar back on. I tried adjusting the treble, bass, etc, but to no avail. I looked up a few questions where some others have had this problem and there's no answers to fix it. Either I got a defective one or this is fairly normal. I'm not going to risk going through this again, it's being returned. Very disappointed with VIZIO.
This sound bar sounds great and is easy to set up
October 19, 2015
Only lasted 37 days and then died! This sound bar sounds great and is easy to set up. However, I purchased it on 9/11/15 and it died today. I tried to return it but the company only has a 30-day return policy. Imagine, I missed it by 7 days. I haven't contacted the manufacturer yet but I can't believe that it didn't last more than 2 months. Now that's just sad!

November 5, 2016
This TV has already broken within a year ! The on off button on back of TV doesnt work nor does the remote and the only to get the tv to turn on is by unplugging the wire from back and plugging back in. Frustrating.

I bought this TV to have the capability of Netflix. Netflix would not work on this TV, right out of the box. (Other TVs in th home work fine with Netflix).
