Five Star Reviews: | 89% There are no reviews yet | 79% The added grip makes for easy replacement. August 31, 2017 I've never had a problem with these filters and I've been using them for over 15 years. The added grip makes for easy replacement. Perfect fit June 15, 2017 it's an oil filter, whats not to love..I like the Fram with the rubber coating on the end. it makes it easy to untwist without losing your grip The oil filter is sideways under the car and I like how Fram filters allow you to apply torque by ... January 11, 2017 This one fitted on my 7th gen civic. The oil filter is sideways under the car and I like how Fram filters allow you to apply torque by hand. A GREAT PRODUCT!!! October 3, 2016 I HAVE BEEN USING FRAM OIL FILTERS FOR DECADES. THIS PRODUCT HAS KEPT MY 1992 DODGE D150 ENGINE FREE OF DEBRIS FOR YEARS. BECAUSE OF THIS FILTER, THE VEHICLE STILL HAS THE SAME ORIGINAL ENGINE!!! ... and it seems to be doing its job just fine. The grip makes it a lot better to ... September 1, 2016 Been over 300 miles since it was installed and it seems to be doing its job just fine. The grip makes it a lot better to loosen/tighten without needing a tool and it seemed to have more filtering capability than my old filter. ... ( got filters at wal-mart) for many years and pleased with performance August 2, 2014 Been using Fram filters on my 3 cars ( got filters at wal-mart) for many years and pleased with performance. Got them cheaper than Wally worlds price and did not have do drive 20 miles R/T. Use this filter on my 06 honda accord 4 cylinder, almost 200,000 miles changing oil & filter every 7 k miles other cars have only had Fram filters since I bought them new. | 76% Spend a little more money on better quality June 18, 2017 This product seems slightly heavier than my precious oil filter and fit perfect for my vehicle. Spend a little more money on better quality. Happy with purchase and would definitely buy again. Fits my 2008 Dodge Caravan perfectly. May 28, 2017 Love Bosch quality but was concerned Amazon might not match up the right parts for my model / year car based on some reviews. Not am issue. Perfect March. Will def buy from again! better than Fram February 3, 2016 great high quality oil filter Bosch is good stuff & has been for years This filter keeps my oil noticeably cleaner The best way to tell a quality filter is it's weight, the heaver the filter the more filtering is in it & the thicker the steel case. This is waaay heaver than a Fram made in USA December 24, 2015 I bought K & N only to find out they are now made in China or Mexico and leak like sives at the rubber gasket. Fool old Amazon made it good of course and I tried these Bosch. Heavy, ridgid, with a anti leak back valve so you don't have dry starts. Good product at a good price. Good filter March 1, 2014 Did some research and found this filter highly recommended. This 3330 is marked "Made in USA". I've read that that are made by Purolator and the same as a PureONE filter. Works for me. | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Four Star Reviews: | 10% There are no reviews yet | 13% It's an oil filter, by a name brand, with a nice grip strip August 22, 2017 I've been driving cars for almost 40 years, and have only once ever paid for an oil change - even at a modest 15K per year, that's over 600,000 miles.I've also, NEVER had a filter fail, or have a car die due to engine wear. This is important - unless you're subjecting your vehicle to a harsh environment, or heavy load, or grueling conditions, you really shouldn't need to spend a ton of money on some fancy, gold-plated, oil filter. Change it at the recommended interval, with the proper oil (right viscosity and API service classification), and a decent filter, and you should never have a problem.I like the grip-strip on Fram filters - it makes removal easier. Is it worth double the cost of another filter - well, no. If these are on-sale (or there's a rebate), bringing the price reasonably close to the others, the grip strip weighs my decision. It's an oil filter, unless you have the ability ... November 24, 2016 It's an oil filter, unless you have the ability to test how well they filter the particles in your oil, you really can't give an objective review. All I can say is that it fits and doesn't leak! I know that Fram does not have the best reputation, but I've never had a problem with ... August 25, 2016 I know that Fram does not have the best reputation, but I've never had a problem with them and I really like the grip edge which makes it so much easier to remove when its time to replace it. | 17% seem to fit fine. 5 stars means "I love it" and I ... February 8, 2017 No leaks, no problems, seem to fit fine. 5 stars means "I love it" and I can't really say that I do as it is just an oil filter, but I would buy again for the price. Does not fit! June 23, 2015 This is listed by Bosch,Amazon and most auto parts stores as being compatible with Mazda 2.0L Skyctiv engine. It is NOT, the threads on this filter are 3/4x16 standard. The Mazda has Metric threads M20x1.5 it will not fit. The proper filter for the 2.0L Skyactiv is the Bosch 3300. Good basic filter April 8, 2014 I'll probably upgrade to the next level up next time around. That brings me to the knock - why is it so darn hard to determine which filter to get between the 3 that Bosch offers. I'm not one to throw money into the pot thinking that I'll get a higher quality product. In this case for a modest increase ($3-5 dollars as I recall) the mid-range does a better filtering job (at least according to the side of the box). No where on the Bosch website, etc. ON THE BOX. OK, I get that I'm buying it online and all that, but c'mon. | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Three Star Reviews: | 1% There are no reviews yet | 4% For use with conventional oil. Not synthetic. May 9, 2016 For use with conventional oil. Not synthetic. | 2% Cheaply made February 6, 2017 I had a hard time removing this filter even though I was the one who put it one. The outer casing is very flimsily and there are better products out there. Three Stars January 6, 2017 This item looks to be a satisfactory replacement part for my 2010 Ford Focus. More recently I did a lot of research on oil filters and learned that the capacity of these filters isn't as great as others September 3, 2016 I am a huge Bosch fan so I bought these filters for a while...More recently I did a lot of research on oil filters and learned that the capacity of these filters isn't as great as others...I will be buying Mobil1 filters from now on. | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Two Star Reviews: | 0% There are no reviews yet | 2% standard Fram oil filter August 24, 2017 The standard Fram oil filters are considered one of the poorest quality oil filters on the market. They have cardboard internal end caps and irregular filter medium held together by clips. These are constructed in Canada and quality control doesn't seem all that good. As someone else mentioned, go to YouTube and look up "oil filter comparisons" - you'll see how inferior Fram is compared to other brands. I used Fram for years, but will not buy any more after seeing these dramatic comparisons! LEAKY FILTER!! BEWARE!! April 6, 2016 I gave it 2 Stars because 1. It has a grip for easy removal 2. it's reasonably priced. I changed my oil on Feb 2016. 2 months and 1000 miles later, I started see oil patches on the ground. I looked under and it was coming from the Filter Seal/Gasket. Maybe I had a bad batch or all FRAM filters are like this. Because of this, it caused so much inconvenience. Please put your money into a reputable brand and stay away from this unless you want to risk it. Fram is poor quality February 25, 2011 The standard Fram oil filters are considered one of the poorest quality oil filters on the market. They have cardboard internal end caps and irregular filter medium held together by clips. These are constructed in Canada and quality control doesn't seem all that good. As someone else mentioned, go to YouTube and look up "oil filter comparisons" - you'll see how inferior Fram is compared to other brands. I used Fram for years, but will not buy any more after seeing these dramatic comparisons! seeing is believing. December 6, 2010 i am not here to tell people what to buy or what not to buy. it is a 4 dollar part that is used to protect your engine, which might be thousands of dollars if it break in anyway.i highly recommend people search youtube videos using tags like oil filter compare, or something similar. there are tons and tons videos of people who crack open numerous oil filters and show you the inside. simply put, Fram is always, ALWAYS, the most cost cutting and worse out of any filter comparison that i have seen to date. (side note, Honda's oil filter look just like Fram, but cost double, what a bunch of blood suckers)spend a little extra now, can save you a lot later. my advice. | 1% Filtech is no more July 13, 2016 Says it is Filtech on ad, but when you get it there is no such markings on box. Also, Filtech has higher removal rate. My first order was Filtech, but my second order was this knock-off. ... rates 5 stars but shipping costs made it a bad deal. My fault August 30, 2014 Filter probably rates 5 stars but shipping costs made it a bad deal. My fault, should have paid more attention. | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
One Star Reviews: | 0% There are no reviews yet | 2% INSPECT THE FILTERS BEFORE YOU INSTALL ON YOUR VEHICLE September 7, 2015 Filters arrived as promised but all 6 filters were rusted inside the filter area, unusable. Returned and purchased a different brand filter from another source. Garbage. January 26, 2014 The gaskets on these filters can separate from the filter housing. If, like me, you have a vehicle where you can't easily see the filter connection, that old gasket can easily get left behind and results in a bad seal when you screw on the new filter by feel alone. The resulting mess is indescribable. Flimsy Junk December 26, 2013 I've used these Fram orange Extra Guard filters for years on all my family's cars. After seeing the inside of these filters and how poorly they're constructed, it's difficult to see how these do any thing at all. Look for yourself on Youtube. The insides of these filters are almost entirely constructed of paper. At 30 PSI of oil pressure, it seems that these would be prone to leaking under stress. The Fram Tough Guard filters don't seem to be any better. Purolator seems like a better option at a minimum. Needless to say, I won't be using Fram any longer. | 4% Now I have six useless Bosch oil filters laying around May 17, 2017 Does not fit in my car as promised. Now I have six useless Bosch oil filters laying around, not know if it can fit another car. Car-model-filter match software didn't work. Gave me a filter ... November 11, 2016 Car-model-filter match software didn't work. Gave me a filter for after a model/size change so now I'm stuck with 2 filters that don't fit and can't return. Bad seal July 22, 2016 So I bought this thinking Bosch was a higher quality product and after 5000 miles, the seal started leaking really bad and just about locked my engine up after draining three quarts in one day. I checked the tightness of the filter and it was fine. I read online about ten years ago someone shared the same story. If we had been on a road trip, this would have ruined my engine NOPE June 25, 2015 the box didnt say filtech like the one in the ad and i didnt see an anti drainback valve so i returned them Not so good for Toyota 22RE 4cyl January 8, 2015 I put this on my 92 Toyota P/U 22RE 4cyl. Every morning it would crank over funny and take longer to start until the oil pressure came up. These engines have a timing chain tensioner that is activated by oil pressure, and you have to use a filter with an anti-drainback valve in it. I don't know if I got a defective oil filter or what, but when I went back to the fram filter this problem went away completely. | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
