Five Star Reviews: | 45% I was leary of purchasing due to several bad reviews, but I'm glad I gave it the ... October 8, 2017 My granddaughter loves it. I was leary of purchasing due to several bad reviews, but I'm glad I gave it the benefit of the doubt. The only thing I would change about is to add tone control. DON"T listen to the bad reviews about not being able to hear the speakers if you buy the one WITHOUT the Bluetooth you will be fine. Vinyl is just totally different from CD's and the radio. I have some records that sound better than others but it is the record NOT the record player. You also can hook it up to a PA system if you really want it much louder. great player. thought it can only play Bluetooth with ... March 18, 2017 great player . thought it can only play Bluetooth with incoming music you cant Bluetooth it to an outer speaker. fix it Crosley Very Nice Product March 9, 2017 Bought this beautiful throwback in musical history for my friends birthday, as it was much cheaper here than at Urban Outfitters. She loved it! The color is gorgeous and there's nothing that can quite compare to the sound that comes from an ol fashion record. This pairs up to our phones quickly too, something we've had had problems with regarding Bluetooth products in the past. Crosley Record Player July 17, 2016 I was SO hesitant to purchase this after some reviews, but I did anyway. I love this machine. It suits my needs to the T. The volume is superb on my record player. I have it in the bedroom. I dont need to turn the knob much for good volume. The only thing I wish was that they fixed the lid so you can lay it down flat without it hitting the record. However, I am not too bugged by this since I rest it on the wall. I am happy with this purchase. Came perfectly packages without any flaws. Music makes my soul happy. May 14, 2016 I'm an old school kind of person and grew up using record players. I had some of my mom's records and nothing to play it on. I seen few of my friends with these and thought it was the coolest thing. I have had on my wish list for a while and my babies daddy finally got for my b-day. I love everything about this. Perfect Gift August 11, 2015 Got this for my wife as a gift to go in her office. She loves it. Perfect colors. Vintage/retro look.Speaker isn't much but what do you expect. It does have outputs if you want to send the audio to other speakers.Wait for the price to be around $70 and buy! You won't regret and everyone will love it as an accent piece to and office or guest bedroom. | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Four Star Reviews: | 14% Works and Sounds Pretty Darn Good For The Price! August 17, 2017 Works pretty good. Just had to make sure to use the included platter pad and then all of the records we tried both used and new sounded fine. Connected the audio outs to my Bose speaker and it sounded pretty darn good for the price! Great deal for the price September 21, 2016 Reading other reviews I did not expect much from this turntable. Once unpacked I plugged it into my home stereo receiver and tried out a few records. I recommend using external speakers if possible since the on-board speakers are small, and you are listening to vinyl. The reason I am giving 4 stars is that this unit is very light and the switches could have a stronger more friendly design. The briefcase top also comes very close to the bottom of the playing album. While it did not rub on the albums I have played, an older warped album may strike the lid when spinning so use caution if you are playing a lot of vintage records. A Fun Retro Item for My 16 Year Old September 9, 2016 Retro is all the rage for the young, so I bought this player for my 16 year old daughter who wanted to listen to my old albums and 45s. She is having a blast. The retro look is also fun for her and her friends, and the sound is okay for the price. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is I wish there were a mechanism for placing the needle arm on the record. It has to be done manually. great ppayer July 1, 2015 Works great but my only issue is that they didn't make a good option to store the power cord. Had they made it slightly less bulky it would store easily inside (something they should have thought of on a "portable" player). I still put mine inside but then you candlt clamp down one of the side clamps, so it looks a bit goofy, and may cause long term damage. Great turntable with excellent sound quality! July 2, 2014 I absolutely love this turntable! Straight away I loved how secure the packaging was. Not a scuff, dent, or any other kind of mark found it's way to my lovely turntable. The turquoise color is absolutely amazing and it looks very vintage. I know some people were stating that the lid on their turntables were getting stuck, but that was not the case for me. Mine came with a thin piece of plastic in between the lid and the base which kept it from sticking. There are two reasons why I didn't give this amazing turntable 5 stars.#1 is that I feel like the lid doesn't go back far enough. Yes, the records spin clear of the lid, but I feel like the slightest movement could send the lid crashing down onto the record.#2 is the fact that there isn't anywhere to store the plug in adapter. I love that the turntable is portable, but having to carry the adapter separately is a tad bit frustrating. All in all, I highly recommend this turntable and I will be enjoying it for years to come! Great sound for small spaces August 8, 2013 This is the first record player I have ever owned. I didn't want to invest in anything super expensive before finding out if it would be a passing fancy or something I ended up investing a lot of time and money into (I can already tell it is evolving into the latter).I definitely find there to be more pros than cons to this purchase.Pros:1) Visually appealing - I have had many comments from family and friends about the attractive appearance2) Good sound - it is ideal for the size space I have available. I live in an 800 sq ft apartment and it is plenty loud to fill up this area3) Affordable - for this price, I feel like it is definitely a good deal. You do not have to buy any other equipment for this player to function4) Portable - it is small, light, and quite portable. It is very easy to move, and the built in lid makes it easy and safe to store if necessary5) Good packaging - I read a lot of the reviews before taking the leap and buying it myself. Multiple reviews mentioned that when they tried to open the player the lid was somehow sealed. I did not find this to be the case - it seems the manufacturer has become aware of this issue and now wraps the lid in a plastic bag to keep this from happening. I had no issues unpacking it and setting it upCons:1) It is not ideal for parties - I will probably have to buy external speakers if I want to use it in such a setting. It is at least nice it has the RCA inputs to allow this as an option | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Three Star Reviews: | 8% looks great May 10, 2017 It looks great, but the quality is not there. The blue-tooth option is great, however the sound is not very good. I think if you plan to use this occasionally you can't go wrong but for a real music enthusiast I would suggest investing in a better quality turntable. Spin and Drop February 28, 2016 Stylish case and very compact. The needle is mediocre as it skips rather easily even with the record completely clean from dust, lint, etc. Consider connecting to auxiliary speakers for better sound quality. The integrated speakers are borderline useless and sounds awful but for the price this is a lot better than other ones I have seen or heard.Do not buy this if you are looking to truly experience vinyl or analog format music. Buy a real turntable with an amplifier and speakers. Do it the right way and not because you want to tell people you have vinyl records. Don't expect the world with this unit. TURQUOISE is the new ORANGE according to Crosley/Amazon December 3, 2015 I purchased this item as a birthday gift for my father. I was really excited to see the ORANGE colored record player as we both share orange as a favorite color. When I received this item in the mail it was TURQUOISE. Which he was actually fine with but I really wish I would have received what I ordered. The record player its self is really solid and has a nice sound. I wouldn't however use the speakers as an external speaker for your phone as that is an option. I believe its mono sound, which I think sounded okay for records but sounded "tinny" when I plugged my phone into the AUX port.Thinking about picking up one of these for myself in the future. It's okay. June 13, 2015 To be honest, I expected it to have a little better quality. I didn't really read reviews before buying this product but I can't really afford a more expensive player anyways. For the price, this isn't so bad. My largest complaint is the built in speakers. It isn't very loud and i think that takes away from the quality of the sound. Once it is plugged into speakers it sounds better but it takes away from the vinyl sound and I may as well just be playing songs from my phone to the speaker. The plus side is it looks pretty cool and I am enjoying the novelty of playing vinyl records. If you are a serious music person, this isn't right for you but if you just want it for the looks, this player looks awesome and will do just fine. Cheap motor. March 15, 2015 I read all of the bad reviews on this model and for some reason I still bought one. By the second week of playing my LP's the motor started to slow down every few minutes and then pick its speed up. It is a shame that the only problem with the player is the motor. Cosmetic problems I can deal with, but slowing down every few minutes is really annoying.45rpm seems to be fine, yet I have not played as many of those as I have of the 33's. I only played one of my 78's, since I have not bought a 78 stylus, which sounded fine.Since I live overseas in military housing this was a great unit for the short time it was working. It is small enough to fit on a shelf when not in use and it was fun to take it out side during a cook out. If I had enough motivation, I would fiddle with the motor. But, for $70 it is worth just shipping it back and ordering a different brand. | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Two Star Reviews: | 8% This is a great looking record player September 11, 2017 This is a great looking record player, but the sound quality is just not good at all my $20 speaker has better sound quality than this record player. If the volume is turned up halfway it starts to pop and crackle like the speaker is going to give out. It just might be has loud has a cell phone, maybe even a LITTLE bit louder. I wouldn't get this Looks nice, but you get what you pay for in ... February 27, 2017 Looks nice, but you get what you pay for in terms of sound quality. It's good that they've added a pitch tuning function, because the pitch on this thing is all over the place and completely unpredictable. Speakers are also rather weak. Overall, it'd be worth it to save up and spend a little more on a higher end product. You get what you pay for. January 31, 2017 I suppose it's ok if you really don't care about sound quality at all. It looks good, but that's about it. The quality of the player is pretty low, all plastic low-cost parts. It was already skipping the record using it just once, so the weight of the needle is all off. But the worst part is the built in speakers, they are absolutely awful. I have standards in my sound quality or I suppose I wouldn't care. I wouldn't recommend unless you only care about look and poor sound quality doesn't bother you much. The sound is wonderful. It is tucked away never to be moved-easily August 17, 2015 I have records-vinyl. I have a 70's Zenith stereo, one of those monsters that double as a bureau. The sound is wonderful. It is tucked away never to be moved-easily, so I wanted a more portable system. I did my research and read that the Crosley is affordable and sounds great!! It doesn't. It is affordable and would be ok for kids who have yet to develop a discerning ear and just want to hear the same song a hundred times on whatever. I am returning it. they said they could not do that with this unit and recommended sending the entire unit back to Amazon May 13, 2015 This is the 2nd unit. First unit purchased broke. The needle came out of the tonearm after about 4 hours of use and would not go back in. Exceedingly low quality. I called Crosley to see if they could send a new cartridge. While they were very friendly, they said they could not do that with this unit and recommended sending the entire unit back to Amazon. The second unit has been in use for about 15 hours with no issues. The sound quality is about as good as listening to music on your phone speaker, but my 15 year old daughter loves it nonetheless. We broke out all of my old vinyl, and she's been playing them frequently. So disappointed, :( April 15, 2015 I've recently really gotten into growing my vinyl collection but i didnt actually have a turntable to play them on. I found this turntable on amazon and thought the price was decent and overall the turntable was cute. However after using it I have noticed a few things, this skips like crazy and most of my records are brand new and shouldnt be skipping like that. Also as you listen to the record the further you get into it the music or content gets fuzzy and sounds off. I was so excited to listen to my vinyl albums but my experience with this turntable may have destroyed my thoughts on having a vinyl collection. Nothing worse then getting into a song and it skips over and over, or listening to your favorite song and it sounding like crap because its in the middle or end of the record. I kinda wished I wouldve kept my money :( | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
One Star Reviews: | 25% One Star June 12, 2017 Sent as present for Granddaughter. Turntable speed way off. She had to return. From unhappy grandparents. ... because I read online reviews of how much people loved them, but when I got it the needle ... January 20, 2017 I ordered this Crosley because I read online reviews of how much people loved them, but when I got it the needle was missing. When I did get the needle I tried to use the record player but it barely worked then it began to damage my records. It also turned on and off on it's own several times. In addition, if I moved the record player the connection was bad and it took some time to play again. I have only had it less than a month and I'm quite unsatisfied with it. I'm definitely getting an ION instead and asking for a full refund. Looks nice than it is. January 5, 2017 Once again..cheap China carp made to look hip and fresh.. I had to return the flippin' thing since the speed was messed up, and the turntable spun with a problematic wobble. They look cool, vinyl is back September 18, 2015 These record players are very hip now. They look cool, vinyl is back, you can find these sexy record players in hip stores like Newbury Comics and Urban Outfitters. But not all record players are created equal my friends, and I write this because I learned the hard way. I bought this on amazon because I was born in a time that record players are just hip, not a practical way to listen to music. I was immediately disappointed. Everything seemed fine, except the pitch was WAY off. The pitch would go up and down in a predictable patern as the record turned. After speaking with my parents, who grew up with record players, I determined that the player's motor had always been a piece of crap. To turn right, a record player needs to spin consistently, and this record player does not perform this BASIC necessity.I have spoken to several people who have this and other turntables by Crosley, and all are like "yeah vinyl is cool, but it's really pitchy!" This is not a vinyl problem. I now own an old Techtronics turntable from the 80's that I bought on Craigslist for $100 and I LOVE it. The Crosleys are making money on hipsters, like me, and like you, who want to listen to vinyl and appreciate music in a more tangible, analog way, but don't know jack about record players. Heed my advice, go on Craigslist or go to your nearby hand-me-down store, or talk to old people who may have a good one, and buy a REAL record player for the same price as this rip off. Don't be tempted by the cute color. January 28, 2015 Like many others, I got this as a Christmas gift. The cute color and portability were appealing attributes. While aesthetically pleasing, this player is the worst. It skipped on all my records from brand new vinyl to unscratched vintage records. I tried all the trouble shooting methods recommended by Crosley and still had a horrible record player that was skipping and wobbling all over the place. Thankfully, Amazon has an excellent return process and I got a full refund.I've since purchased a Sony record player for about $50 more. It's not a cute color but it plays all my records without skipping. Don't buy it! January 4, 2015 I purchased this turntable a few days ago and it arrived quickly. Company deserves an A+ for customer service. Unfortunately the product was a disappointment. I had read the reviews on the Crosley and I was skeptical on buying it due to the complaints about the needle being weighted too heavy causing skipping and damage to vinyl. Then I listened to my friends and it seemed fine to me, no skipping, so I decided to take a chance and purchased one. Unfortunately it skipped right off the bat. The sound quality was also terrible, it almost sounded slightly sped up. If you are unsure about buying this turntable, go with your gut, don't buy it! | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
