Side by Side Comparison of: Pratt

I make and ship plushies and I was buying, two or three at a time, these same size boxes elsewhere for about fifty cents each. When the place I buy them was out of stock for the third week in a row after only carrying about ten boxes to begin with, I decided to see if I could find them somewhere else. I turned to Amazon and found these.The package I got is a 25 count of the 6 by 6 by 6. I ended up saving almost five dollars by buying them in bulk from Amazon instead of the other place and it saved me several trips to the store. The flaps of the box have all the usual information printed on them. Brand name and phone number, bar code, dimensions, certification etc. Since these boxes are made of 100% recycled material, I was actually kind of expecting them to be lower quality than the boxes I normally use. I was pleasantly surprised when I realized that they are very thick and sturdy and not at all “cheap” looking or feeling.The one and only issue I have with these boxes is that some of them are cut weird. I have gotten a few boxes that a couple of the flaps are cut short on so it makes a gap when you fold them down. I have gotten several that the flaps are cut too long and when you try to overlap them to tape them down, it makes a raised portion and doesn’t close correctly. While I highly doubt this affects the actual use of the boxes, I felt I should point out. The box will not sit flat if one of the long flaps is on the bottom. You could probably fix it yourself with scissors or a box cutter but I do not bother since it is just a box that I ship out immediately.Aside from the too short and too long flaps, these boxes are really great. I plan to continue buying these as long as they stay below 50 cents each.

I've gone through probably 1,000 of these Pratt boxes over the past year. I do a LOT of shipping, and as such a good quality box is very important to me. The Pratt box is the best combination of value and sturdiness that I have found. I've tried many other cheaper boxes and was left frustrated with thin cardboard and weak glue that separated. Fortunately from my experience this box has had neither of those issues. The glue holds, the cardboard is adequate, and also, and importantly, the boxes dimensions are appropriate. So often you see boxes that have problems because the box cutouts are not appropriate, and when taped, don't line up, so you're left with a box that isn't as sturdy as it should be. This box from my multiple purchases hasn't had that issue. The 6X6X6 size has been very consistent. I don't often review product, but when I do it's either really good or really bad, and fortunately this box has been great!

These boxes are fantastic! Especially for the price. They're easy to put together and both extremely sturdy and extremely light. That counts when you're shipping a lot of items! I was able to fit a well-wrapped mug in the 6x6x6 or two good-size ball ornaments. They arrived tied with zip ties in plastic. Very happy with the purchase.

Great, small & durable bulk corrugated cardboard boxes at a very decent price. These are incredibly sturdy, especially for their size. They work great for my eBay business as do some other bulk boxes I've purchased from Amazon. Definitely purchase your bulk boxes on Amazon versus local office and shipping stores as they are way, way more expensive there. Be sure to search the right size box for your needs and search for the best deals because many sellers on Amazon sell the same item or quality of boxes as others but at wildly different pricing, some of which is way too high while others, like this, is priced right.

I got all my boxes, inside a nice bigger box. Thus, I got a free box with my boxes! Clearly a great success.

These boxes are great! They are heavy enough to be sturdy and protect the contents but not overly thick and heavy, as to cause the shipping charges to be outrageous! I didn't check every place to compare prices, because I needed them quickly, but the price was good, and since I'm a PRIME member,shipping was fast and free.

Great price, fast delivery. These boxes are not even. I got a bundle and some are just really lopsided. They still work, but match up a bit funky on the corners. Perfect for my start up business and VERY sturdy.

I like it for the price. I sell my pottery online on etsy [...] RaindropArtistry for that I needed boxes with cheaper price, so that I can keep my shipping expenses low. Each box is half less in price as compared to buying single boxes from the walmart. Quality wise, it is cheap too but gets the job done. Made in USA which is good.

Sturdy little box for general shipping, arrives flat ready for folding. Occasionally I find the corners don't quite meet and I end up covering them with a square of tape, but not severe enough to be a problem. Will reorder more in the future, great for the price point!

These worked great for what I needed it for. I did notice what others said about them not sealing perfectly. It didn't bother my needs but would depend on what you were shipping. So just keep that in mind before ordering.

For the money, you can't beat them. The boxes are NOT cut perfectly so sometimes they look a little strange when you fold it together. I would never buy regular boxes again.

The boxes are quality-made, durable and the perfect size and weight to ship small items (ornaments, small sports memorabilia). Because the boxes are relatively light weight, it still keeps the total weight of the items I ship in them under 13 ounces to qualify for and ship via USPS First Class Mail.One thing I do recommend is waiting until your Amazon basket has at least $$35 worth of items in it before you place your order for these so that these boxes qualify for free shipping. Otherwise they boxes are kind of pricey with the added shipping cost.One thing I don't like is the lid flaps don't always come perfectly together for an even fit and there's a little gap between them. I think the fold lines need to be made deeper so the flaps are more easily folded and manipulated.A minor concern, but that prevented me from giving the boxes 5-stars.

I like these boxes nice and sturdy...however, I purchased these on Feb 6, and wanted to order another set 2 weeks later only to discover they had increased by almost 4 dollar a set...so I won't purchase them again.

They are boxes. A lot of the reviews talk about them being cheap or crooked. Which, they are cheap boxes but they are plain and perfect for shipping. I own a business and rarely use boxes but this does the job perfectly.

Good for light duty shipping. Not strong enough for heavy items.

It a package of boxes, the dimensions are correct, the boxes are blank, and they are easy to put together. I didn't really need that many, but I can donate the rest of them. They are great for shipping books or movies, and hold up well. I am happy with this product, and would repurchase.

Very meh boxes. They don't line up very well, aren't very square.They worked for their purpose but didn't look nice by any means.

boxes are not cut evenly. need to spend extra time to tape and box correctly... consider the lower price, it deserve 3 star.

These are working ok but I want to source shipping boxes from the same place Amazon does.

Some of the 6 x 6 boxes are a little crooked, but most are okay. I have had to take a couple of them apart to reposition the side flap to straighten up the box, but overall they are okay. A little more light weight than what I anticipated. I will probably reorder this brand in the future in this size.

I have bought these previously and loved them. This time, they were not folded right during assembly/gluing, so they're all a little crooked. Some I've had to take apart and tape together to work right.

These boxes are fine, but definitely seem to close up a little loose. Once I switched the flaps that were under/over that seemed to help, and they fit more snuggly. Can't argue wit the price.

Half the stack came ripped or torn in someway. Can still be used but they need a lot more tape.

These boxes were not well put together; the edges did not meet up squarely. Good price, but not well enough put together.

These boxes actually are 6.5 inches in height making them too tall for my shipping needs.The construction and quality of the boxes are quite poor as well. Many of them arrived punctured and with manufacturing defects.Overall the boxes feel flimsy and very poor quality. I would not recommend them.

These boxes don't fold right. I had to adjust all of them. Otherwise they are ok.

They actually measure 6x6x6.5, not 6x6x6 as stated. This might be fine for some but I'm using them to case-pack products and now they don't fit in the cases.

It was not what I expected. It didn't work for me. So, I couldn't use it. I still have the boxes.

Packing tape does not stick to it. Even securing it with several layers of packing tape, it still comes off. Very disappointed, won't order these again.

Miserable quality!!!!!

I bought these in both the 5inches square and 6 inch square sizing and both were garbage. They were manufactured wrong and glued together incorrectly leaving a huge cockeyed gap when tying to use. (Big enough that weather/dirt can go in, product can fall out) Ripping apart and putting together the correct way was not an option because I'm not looking for tacky with $$$ in tape to send out my items. I have learned my lesson on these to open and inspect even if I'm not out of my other supplies as the time frame to return has passed and I have 4 bundles of useless factory thirds.

Constantly came untaped and most of them came damaged. Never again.
