Good for the Price
July 9, 2017
This is a good general purpose airbrush. It is well made and works great for stencil work and general painting. The spring in the trigger is somewhat strong so I wouldn't use it for any detail work, but for general purpose, I think it's a good tool for the price.

Well made and worth the money
January 13, 2017
Bought 3 of these to use for make up at our local Haunt attraction. Well made, held up to hours upon hours of daily use. I now know why these are sold at Transworld. I will be ordering 3 or 4 more next season. My makeup people fought over the three I had.
Very good control over spray
October 15, 2016
EXACTLY the airbrush I needed. Works for body paint, for small detail painting, for large detail painting, for painting patterns on shirts. Very forgiving if you aren't quite as thorough in cleaning it as you know you need to be. Very good control over spray. I am in love with this airbrush.
Very pleased with this airbrush
June 28, 2016
Very pleased with this airbrush. Purchased it to do some touch-up on a 1953 Ford F100 and it works very well with high quality auto paint at about 18-pounds of air pressure. Easy to use although I should spend more time "practicing". Cleaning the airbrush is very easy, no difficulties; breaks-down easily and goes back together quickly.
is working great..

So far, is working great....all the flexibility that I needed. And waaayyyyy better than the Testors Aztec brush that I could not get to work....for about the same price.

Automotive airbrush kit not for artists because it has no tank only compressor
April 25, 2017
Works perfectly for auto touch ups and small panel jobs. This kit has everything! Artists wanting to do detailed work will need to purchase tank with the compressor to provide more consistent spray pressure.

Good starter kit for anyone, like myself, new to airbrushing. I am learning the ropes in painting my Gundam model kits. For safety, and to not make a mess, I do it outside. You can purchase a separate ventilation system to airbrush indoors. I will look into this next.
Nice Bargain!

Not a bad set-up for the price. I bought a couple for my 8 and 10 year olds (I paint helmets, so they want to be like me). Decent quality and would definitely recommend this to others.

This airbrush is great! I use it for my make up every day and as long as you clean it after you use it and don't let stuff dry inside of it the brush works great every time. It is a tad big for my makeup needs but I haven't had any issues with it.
Awesome value!
May 30, 2015
Awesome value! I see this as a great kit for beginners or those involved with small projects. I'm re-living my childhood - starting scale model building again and was looking for an inexpensive airbrush kit to get started. I've had it a couple days now and it's perfect for my use. For a "cheap" kit this works very well! The compressor is small and works fine for low to medium pressure applications. It is narrow and tippy so be careful. To remedy this I made a stand with scrap plywood and small blocks like book-ends. You might also find a safe place for it in you make-up case or tool tray. There is a spot on the compressor to set the airbrush stand although I would not recommend this. Safer to set your stand remotely.

Great airbrush
May 2, 2014
I love the airbrush, but mine came with 2 damaged components. Amazon did good by me by knocking the price in half, so I'm quite satisfied.... I was able to pick up the damaged parts locally as I needed the airbrush as soon as I received it. I make multiple styles and types of custom fishing lures, jigs, poppers etc...and I'm learning to custom paint crankbaits and make them look professional. With acrylic paint I'm able to spray with this brush with a measly 7 psi ...compared to my old single action brush that is a humongous difference. The other benefits of this airbrush are the 3 needle/head combinations it comes with... you can do broad coverage all the way down to a hairline...and I do mean hairline. I also use this brush for weathering & painting my N scale railroad engines, rolling stock, buildings and scenery. I also help my sons build models and I paint them. I can apply such light coats with this that the finish almost always comes out flawless assuming it is properly prepped.

Very pleased use for alcohol inks
September 23, 2017
I bought this to blow alcohol inks as using canned air gets expensive and a straw doesn’t work for me. I am very pleased with this machinePROSIt only makes a noise when you are blowing airIt’s not too noisy when blowing airVery compact - could easily take it on a tripLightweightGood length of cordAppears well builtBlows the inks well - would like higher psi but knew what I was buying so cannot criticizeEXCELLENT value for my purposesCONSno instructions of value for use - figured out that to connect the hose you unscrew the pointed piece on the bottom and then screw on the hose BUT what do you do with the part you removed? Must be for some purpose. Thought it was for a more directed air flow on the front but it doesn’t screw on there. I have never used an airbrush before so perhaps those familiar with them know what/how to use it for but is don’t. I think if you need to remove it screw on the hose there should be instructions to tell you.For that I took off one starDelivery was fast and came in good order

Despite the claim of being able to "adjust" the flow.... I can not get mine to adjust. Fortunately I'm using it for alcohol inks so I can manipulate my artwork differently.

This is a great kit. First time airbrusher here. The manual and instructional is pointless. I have a few parts I'm not sure how to use. Wish it had a slightly larger area of effect but it suited my needs. I have not dropped it, so I can't comment on those issues. Though it seems very sturdy. It is like an extension of my hand.

A Good Starter Kit
June 11, 2014
Having recently gotten back into the building of scale models, it soon became clear that I needed a relatively inexpensive starter airbrush kit. This particular system has met my needs thus far. That said, there are a few minor complaints that prevent me from giving this item a 5 star review.First, the lack of an integrated moisture trap is a slight drawback. Granted, one can be obtained for around $8.00, but it's still a bit of a drawback for me. Second, the lack of an air pressure meter is a bit of a drawback as well. Yes, there is a way to control the air pressure output, but in order to judge just how much air is coming out, the modeler will have to go about this via trial and error.Other than those two faults, a great product over-all.
A very good starter airbrush and compressor for the beginner at a bargain price.
March 28, 2014
I ordered this airbrush package to start out with painting Gundam models, and after completing my first true painted model (check out details at [...] if you're interested) I'm very, very satisfied with this airbrush.I'm big on the bad before the good, so negative points:-There's no real guide to disassemble and clean, nor does it include any kind of cleaning or upkeep info in the guide-There's no travel adjust on the outside of the brush; you have to unscrew the back part and adjust a little stopper screw on the guide rod-The compressor doesn't really give a good indicator of psi - you kinda have to adjust by eyeballing the spray, which isn't really great if you care about psi-No quick-disconnect, gotta unscrew the brush from the line (not huge, but still)The positive notes:-Easy to clean! You can soak this bad boy in 91% isopropyl alcohol and with a little bit of toothbrushing or even just a Q-tip, used paint comes off of everything. Pull back the needle, swirl an isopropyl-soaked Q-tip inside the nozzle, and it's ready to go.-Stable and usable even down to about 25 degrees ambient temperature-Smooth double action gives visible differences in paint injected into the sprayThis may not be the last airbrush you'll ever buy, but you could do a LOT worse - and pay a LOT more - for your first.

Is This Thing Single Action?????
December 1, 2016
Thought this airbrush would be very versatile with the 3 needle sizes included. Something that could do medium detail with the small needle up to big fades with the large needle. Which is what I needed to complement the fine detail of my Iwata Eclipse.Smallest needle set puts out way too much paint for any kind of detail. Does not provide much control over the flow of paint... it is either no paint or full output. There is some variation as you pull the trigger back, but not much. And nothing like my Iwata!!! I've tried all 3 needle set and taken the thing 100% apart a couple of times. No difference in performance. So, I am using this for clearing my work.
Airhose doesn't fit compressor

The airbrush hose does NOT fit a master airbrush compressor. So you will need to order the adapter with it. Don't know if it's even available at the hardware store.

March 30, 2016
I bought this several months ago and find I'm very torn on it. I have tried numerous times to get it to work well and have had varying degrees of success. I have tried paint ranging from airbrush to lowly acrylics and the results have been mixed. I've had super runny airbrush paint not feed through it despite soaking and cleaning the entire thing. Other days I've had watered down acrylics work mostly fine. Other times even water wont feed through it without sputtering. I've tried 3 different compressors at various pressures. I was really looking forward to using this but have mostly tossed it in the corner and only use it for priming miniatures or painting some small wooden items brown.
Decent brush for beginners
September 2, 2015
This is a great starter air brush...easy to set up and learn on and the canisters make for a good start for paint mixing. The cup it comes with can be a bit awkward at first and does not have a cap so some spilling is likely as you're first learning. Even after cleaning the brush almost constantly, this brush is prone to jams. I guess this is one of those "you get what you pay for" moments...
Not nearly as good as my original "VL" airbrush
January 8, 2015
Not nearly as good as my original "VL" airbrush. However it allows me to paint, and thats all that really matters.
What kind of adapter is this?
June 21, 2012
When I receive an item, I expect it to work out of the box. I have yet to try this airbrush because the female hose adapter does not fit ANY standard male air compressor regulator threads I have tried. I'm heading to the local DIY store tomorrow, and IF I can find a suitable adapter and get to try this product out, I'll update my review. Until then, it gets 2 stars.EDIT:You need a 1/4" male-to-male adapter to hook it up from a standard compressor regulator to the included airline.Other points:- The airline hookup to the brush is a weird diameter, which necessitates the use of the included air hose. This means that the brush must have a dedicated airline and cannot be quick-swapped easily. To some this isn't a big deal.- The airline hookup to the brush isn't very secure on my model, even with PTFE tape. When the hose wiggles at all, you can hear pressure escaping the airline at the connection to the brush.- The quality of the brush is okay for a beginner. However, I found that the brush is quite fiddly depending on paint consistency, which varies by brand and how much thinner medium you use. Even with thinned paint the brush sometimes sputters and produces little flow, causing me to push on the action to increase the flow, resulting in the brush spurting out a huge mess everywhere.I'm only giving this product 3 stars because it leaves a lot to be desired. The price point is okay for the mediocre quality, but I'd honestly rather spend $50 more for a much better brush.

Depends what you need this for
August 29, 2017
As a beginner, I thought this airbrush kit would do the trick, especially as I am only using it for air on alcohol inks and acrylics. I love the size and portability, but the compressor is no where as strong as a can of compressed air (for cleaning a computer keyboard) and that is what I have been using. If you don't need a lot of pressure, this is a great kit.
Good & Bad

August 18, 2016
We bought this mini air brush and used it maybe two or three times before it broke on us. It was alright to use and easy. We used it to paint model cars so it wouldn't take forever to paint them. It did make it a lot faster and easier. No more dropping painted pieces and messing them up. We would still use it if id didn't break. Overall it was ok but disappointing it broke so easy. Could just be ours, we didn't rebuy one and test another.
Pump works well but the air hose was pinched shit ...
January 30, 2016
Pump works well but the air hose was pinched s*** in the middle and I can't seem to get it to spray correctly. Could be my inexperience on it not spraying correctly. Pulling the trigger back and down doesn't seem to get the needle to move. If I take the back off and adjust the needle way out it will spray but there is no control
Compressor is ok but air brush is disappointing.
May 30, 2014
I purchased this set so I wouldn't have to spend a fortune on air brush propellant and many air brush compressors sell for over $100. The compressor does the job, so I accomplished my goal.Unfortunately the fittings in the kit are the wrong size for my existing air brush and hose. I used the components in the kit and after two projects they seem rather clumsy. The instructions for the brush and hose are almost no help. I had to figure out how to disassemble, clean, and re-assemble on my own. I have had a lot of trouble controlling the spray.I plan to return to my original air brush but I have to track down one or more adapters. This is an ok compressor for the price but be aware of the constraints discussed above.

I don't like it: Sorry newbie experience
April 30, 2016
Yes, it's true I have no prior airbrush experience, but:I expected it to be easier to use in general, mechanically if not ergonomically as well; There is nothing smooth about the trigger, despite much reading and studying, many adjustments, full dis- and re-assemblings, cleaning and lube, much practice and more practice - the trigger never gets any smoother - fine adjustments of the trigger pull seem impossible due to the trigger's roughness and heavy pull. Once the trigger's resistance is overcome, then it's very difficult to achieve anything but a full-blast trigger pull; It's inconsistent - getting a halfway decent spray pattern in no way indicates that I will get anything like that the next time I pull the trigger (did I mention the trigger is not smooth?);With the bottle attached it is quite unwieldy to hold and use, nothing at all like "holding a pen;"I have not found a way to make it act as a single-action like the product description says. The adjuster runs out of threads before I get there Maybe I can jam some sort of shim in there to hold the trigger more rearward. It's not like I am trying to be an airbrush artist or anything fancy like that - all I want to do is lay down relatively smooth coats of paint on model cars, but I'm afraid to try, as consistent coats have so far proven elusive on paper as practice.Unfortunately I am fully invested in Paasche products, as I bought one of their compressors as well (which seems OK, by the way). So now if I want to get another brand of airbrush I'll have to figure out what hose adapters I need and buy them. Or I may decide I've thrown enough money at this and just dump the whole lot on Craigslist - airbrush, paints and the other liquids, compressor, and model kits, and oh yeah, the 20' Paasche air hose I bought. This whole experience has been a bit disappointing at the least.

#5 tip and head defective
June 17, 2012
I have used a Paasche VL double action airbrush in my work for over 25 years. I decided thato buy another one for a class I teach. Iuse the airbrush to spray liquid vitrous enamel with a #5 tip and needle. When I got this airbrush the #5 tip did not seal well and the airbrush sputtered. I asked for a replacement of this product but the replacement did the same thing. I have order a #5 tip and head form the manufacturer because I think that the tip is especially faulty in this iteraton of the product.
Double Action Airbrush
March 2, 2008
I use an airbrush daily and I was needing a larger poster style airbrush and my 1960's Thayer and Chandler brush is worn out and in need of retirement. I've heard many good things about Paasche brushes from fellow painters so I took the plung and ordered this airbrush kit mainly because of the bottle sizes it offered. After receiving this brush I was extremely disappointed. The quality was much worse than I had expected. I had to hone and polish the action to make it smooth because the machining on it was very poor and it was rough and dragging. The ergonomics of this brush is horrible! The hose is mounted so close to the bottle and the handle is so poorly designed that I have to wrap my fingers around the paint bottle when I use it rather than holding it like a pencil. The handle is so thick and tapers so quickly that it is very awkward and uncomfortable. This is not a brush that would easily support the kind of detail work that would be expected of any double action brush nor one that you could use for any length of time. Also, the hose connector is an unusual thread and doesn't fit any of my other brushes which all have graciously come with a standard thread connector. I have to use the provided hose as a dedicated hose with its own quick disconnect just for this brush. That in itself is a problem since the hose that came with this kit is fairly short and very stiff for an airbrush hose and continues to maintain the bends reflecting how it was stored in the shipping box even after being hung straight with weights for many days.On the positive side, this brush does seem to spray pretty well and handles a variety of paint viscosities. I'll keep this brush only for an emergency backup or for use on a paint that may destroy a better brush. I would not recommend this brush for any serious airbrusher or anyone seriously considering airbrushing as a hobby.

Fell apart...not good for angelus
June 8, 2016
I tried using this with watered down angelus acrylic paint. It did a great job on the one shoe out of the pair. I noticed after an hour in the brush would clog. Shortly after that it started to spatter. I took it apart and cleaned it. Unfortunately it fell apart during the cleaning process. Just not a good airbrush or compressor overall. Maybe I got a bad airbrush. Idk
whasnt what i thought it was
April 13, 2014
The airbrush included was not really a Master Airbrush.. but one of the really cheap 5$-10$ ones you might see on ebay.. they community says people dont really know where they come from and that no company really claims it so anyone can really say its theirs i suppose.. but the box wasn't a typical Master box.. I got this thinking it would be best for me because i wanted to see if i could get in to the hobby.. and didn't want to spend loads of money to find out.. I got a suggestion to go with the master brand as they are a bit better then the 5-10$ ones on the market.. I thought that was this.. but its not.. it doesn't have the logo etched in the side like the photo does.. and the box isnt a typical master airbrush box.. like stated before its the same exact brush you see sell from china for like 5$-10$ on ebay sometimes.. so basically your mostly paying for the compressor and its accessories.. It may not make much difference as i was told the china knockoffs are basically made in the same molds and stuff.. I suppose i cant expect too much.. The compressor with hose and stuff is worth about 25-30$. So I suppose I couldn't have expected much.. but i was a bit mislead and was a bit disappointed.. other then that.. it works alright.. Star kill was for being mislead in to thinking i was getting something i didn't get..

Cheap quality air compressor
September 28, 2017
The air compressor burnt out after only a single hour of using it. Very bad quality and cheaply made, don’t be fooled buy the photos and glossy brochure. The airbrush itself is ok for a starter, clogs a little but I think it’s more of the poor performance of the compressor.
