Five Star Reviews: | 59% Loved it! January 7, 2017 So far I've only used this luggage once (flew from Kansas City to Seattle and back) but it was perfect! The small piece was the right size for carry on and the big piece had plenty of room for all my stuff. I really like that one side has a zip covering to keep everything in place and the other side has elastic straps. The outside of the big piece has some scratches from the rough handling of being checked baggage but not anything that's noticeable unless you look closely and definitely only cosmetic scratches; nothing broke and there are no major damages. The handles and wheels on both pieces work beautifully and I was able to move through the airports, parking lots, trains, etc. very easily. I would absolutely recommend this luggage to anyone looking for something for travel. Great luggage! December 12, 2016 We have bought one of this for almost everyone in our family! We love this luggage. It's light and easy to move around. We love having four wheels, it's much easier to move and requires less effort. We had another pair of these luggage for already 3 years and have done a lot of traveling with it in the USA and internationally. We haven't had any issue and the structure is perfect, no damage despite all the airport moving around, etc. All wheels still intact. The colors are great, because it's easy to identify in the airport carrousel.Highly recommend this brand and model. Best set of bags we've ever had! October 26, 2016 Great bags for the price. We bought two sets and have lugged them around for 2 years and 1 month and it is just now time to re-order. We travel about every other month, both internationally and domestic, and these bags are better than any other sets we have tried. The bags still look great and function well, but ALL bags get beat up over time when you travel as much as we do. One of the wheels on the small bag is starting to stick just a little, and one of the 4 black plastic pegs on the big bag has broken off. We love the color selection as well. The purple bags are really easy to spot in baggage claim at the airport--and we receive a surprising number of complements from other travelers about the color. These are a great buy. We will still keep these old sets as back-ups for friends and extra long trips because they still function. But, these are so affordable...we can afford to buy a brand new set for regular use. Beautiful Set of luggage for AFFORDABLE Price! Great Sized Set! February 10, 2016 Purchased this set for my teenage daughter who is on the petite side. We are going on a cruise in March and it's important to have a set of luggage that she can wheel around easily on her own as the rest of us will have luggage to haul around as well. (I plan to provide an update after our trip as to how the luggage holds up). The spinner wheels were the most important feature we were looking for followed by price. We have several other pieces with the spinner wheels and they are a must-have feature to glide easily through any airport, resort, cruise ship or other destination. The color looked exactly as it did in the photos and in my opinion even better. She was very pleased with the "champagne/rose-gold" look which is very popular right now. This does have a textured surface which I think will help it hold up its appearance long term. This particular set does not come with TSA locks as some of our other luggage does, however, those are easily purchased separately and added. The sizes are perfect for what she needed and the interior pockets, flaps and straps are a very nice added feature. We cruise once a year and fly one or two other times a year. I think this luggage set will hold up nicely. Construction, including zippers, handle and wheels appear to be decent for the price paid. Will report back of course after usage. We had no issue whatsoever with any smells as have been reported in other posts (and I do have sensitivity to odors). For the price, it'd be hard to find something better. December 3, 2015 Bought the orange color of this set for a November trans-Pacific trip. Took this set on a month long trip that included flights from California to Japan, Japan to Thailand, a couple of domestic Thailand flights, then back from Thailand (via Japan) to California. Summary conclusion is that they help up very well to some hefty weight inside them, the wheels worked very smoothly, the pull out handles didn't give us any problem (whether pulling or pushing the luggage) and while upon return the outer appearance does look pretty scuffed up and has a large scratch on one of the pieces, I can't blame the luggage itself for that. For the price (~$100 when I bought it), it'd be hard to find something better.Upon first impressions they seem well made and durable. After initially packing it for the trip, the big piece weighed over 50lbs and when holding it by the non-pullout handle I thought the handle was going to break off from the body of the luggage, but it did in fact hold up.After collecting souvenirs along the way, we got the large piece of luggage up to 28kgs (~61lbs) and the handles still were up to the job despite the body of the luggage doing some flexing while being lifted. We got the smaller piece up to about 18kgs (~40lbs). We even unzipped the expander zipper on both pieces in order to fit everything and despite our fears the material exposed in this expander section might tear under the weight and movement of transport, everything was in tact after our long flight back to California. As mentioned at the top, the luggage did have quite a few scuff marks and large scratch/gouge in one area, but given the light orange color, I guess that should have been expected and I don't think that can be held against the luggage.Do note the surface of the luggage is dimpled, so if you're one of those folks that likes to put stickers all over their luggage to help identify it, the stickers probably won't stay on very well. I loved this luggage November 20, 2014 I loved this luggage! Took this on 12 flights all over South America and it held up amazingly! It was easy to maneuver in the airports and came through without any damage. We're even buying a second set now. | 82% Easier than using a Wii board October 1, 2017 For years I have been using my Wii board to weigh my luggage which is frequently close to the limit. It has been a pain because the luggage does not want to sit up nicely on the board. I decided this scale might work better. It is easy to use and gave accurate readings for the trip that we took. I weighed the luggage before we left home and the airline weighed the luggage in at the same weight as what this scale gave. It is also nice because I can carry it with me so that I can weigh the luggage again before we leave for home. In the past I have always had to hope it was not over the limit thanks to souvenirs that I bought. Imprecise at sub-10-lb weight, pretty solid above that September 16, 2017 I used my Bowflex SelectTech 552 weight set to try this scale out. I tested at 5lb, 15lb, and 52.5lb, doing 3 measurements at each weight.5 lb read at anywhere 4.3 through 5.315lb read at 15.0 all three times52.5lb read at 51.7 through 52.0(Note that those weights are not calibrated and thus this review isn't about the accuracy of this scale, but rather how precise it is. E.g. I can't guarantee that the 52.5lb weight is exactly 52.5lb, but the scale should give me the same number every time I measure that weight).Overall, this scale was accurate to within a pound for every weight tested, so I'd say it's a good tool for the weight-constrained traveler (especially someone like me, who is flying on some airlines which impose a 15lb limit on carryon baggage) Works great, and is lightweight. April 26, 2017 Works like a champ. Is nice and lightweight for me to take on trips with me, since I have to be especially weight conscious on the return flights with purchases made on the road. Has always been very very close to the airline scales so I'd give it a thumbs up on accuracy. SO ACCURATE March 20, 2017 OK. I was flying on spirit airlines and freaked out when I realize that their weight limit on suit cases is not the standard 50lbs, but 40lbs. I tried at home to weigh it so many different ways but it was useless. So I bought this and it gave me the weight of 36.4lbs. At the airport it weighed in at EXACTLY that. I used it on the way back and again it was as accurate as before. The only thing you need to remember is that you might someone's help to lift up the suitcase, since you need to use only one hand to lift it. But besides that, I LOVE IT! Perfect for someone who is a control freak like me! A very high end item at an extremely reasonable price. A+ Much cheaper on Amazon! September 12, 2016 This item was much better than expected. The quality of materials, construction, and operation are so upscale that you can't believe you bought it on Amazon for $8.50 ($11+ on eBay).Easy to use. Simple pull out the plastic battery sheath (plastic strip) that saves the battery power until the item is first used, depress the power button, hook the strap around the handle of your luggage and lift it up... the digital scale will read out what your bag weighs. It reads in both kilograms and pounds. It also tells you the temperature in both Fahrenheit & Celsius. We were going to Peru and the carry on weight restriction was 17 pounds per bag. We found out the hard way, going to Egypt, that foreign airlines take carry on bag size and weight VERY SERIOUSLY. In the US, it is more about size than weight for carry on. So we bought the Etekcity luggage scale so we wouldn't have to stress over the weight test. Note: Your home bathroom scale was not designed for light weights (5 lbs to 70 lbs). Most (okay, not all) bathroom scales are calibrated to be accurate at the most conventional / typical weight. That why you don't use a bathroom scale for weighing mail for calculating postage. This item is perfect for doing what it was designed to do... weigh luggage!Light weight, well made, great price, and extremely functional. Perfect. A Very Handy Travel Scale for Luggage. Hey it has a Temperature sensor, too. April 3, 2016 Very handy and easy to use. No assembly needed. Works right out from the box. Well, you just have to pull that plastic film to allow battery to work, of course. It reads weight accurately. You can switch between kls or lbs. With the temperature between F or C. While you weigh something using it, the screen will flash 3 times and locks with the reading on it and will stay for about 2 minutes unless you press the button to change it. They should put a sensor to trigger the unit to switch on automatically once weighing starts and will turn off after a few seconds once weight is release. Putting a backlit screen would be awesome, too. But overall, I am satisfied with the product. | 59% Awesome luggage. I am planning a trip to Europe March 30, 2016 Awesome luggage. I am planning a trip to Europe, and it is just what I was looking for. Quality Luggage March 29, 2016 I haven't used this yet but I like the style and color plus the wheels. | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Four Star Reviews: | 18% You get what you pay for November 6, 2017 Pros:-The price definitely makes the suitcases worth it! I've owned this set for almost two years now and as a frequent traveller it has definitely held up!-The wheel design is very convenient for walking along with more than one piece of luggage and makes those walks down the tight airplane aisles less awkward.-Design is definitely reflected in the price. Nothing too fancy with a single sub section in each suitcase. It does expand very well and the smaller suitcase is the perfect size for a carry on!Cons:-The wheels need improvement but so far mine have survived most surfaces, including cobblestone. Don't see them lasting more than maybe a year longer, especially the ability to slide them along.-The outside texture is tough and has kept my stuff inside safe so far, but it does scratch easily. Probably a consideration in what color you should chose.-The handles also would benefit from extra durability. The handle on one of my suitcases tends to get stuck.-While the design is a plus for what you get at this price you will probably have to invest in something extra like packing cubes in order to make packing more organized and efficient. The only issue that I have as of right now is the horrible smell the luggage has June 27, 2017 I haven't traveled with the luggage yet so we will see how it holds up but I am very excited to use. The only issue that I have as of right now is the horrible smell the luggage has. I'm not sure how to get rid of the smell I have set it out with dryer sheets in the hopes that the smell will eventually go away. I love the color and feel of the luggage. They are super light weight compared to other luggage that I have. Cute for carry on April 25, 2017 I purchased this before a trip to St. Louis for business. These suitcases are too cute, and the smaller size is perfect for carrying on. I purchased these when they were $100, but I just looked and saw that for this color option they've jumped to $300! I would NOT pay 300 for this suitcase, but it is very pretty and easily recognizable as being mine, but that could be said about a majority of these colors available. I wouldn't recommend them for anything too hardcore. I only brought the carry-on, and it seemed a little too lightweight. I'm not sure the larger one could survive a plane ride. Nice luggage - but stop with the stickers April 12, 2017 I just received this luggage set today, and when I peeled the gigantic stickers (declaring that the luggage is as light as a feather) off, they left behind a sticky film. If I'd purchased them at a brick and mortar store, I'd have taken them right back - however since these would be a huge pain to ship back, I'm stuck trying to figure out how to remove the gunk myself. Not fun. That said, the luggage is nice quality for the price, and I adore the color (I chose magenta). Can't wait to load it up and start traveling! But my bag looks like ive been on 5-6 trips already August 14, 2015 Considering I got these for a STEAL I can't complain too much. I think with shipping I paid $104. Both pieces cam e with the manufacture price tag still on them. The small one was listed for $130 and the larger one was listed for $200.00. So yeah..That being said.. I travel almsot monthly for work. I wanted something durable that would hold up to consistent mishandling and bumps. I have been on ONE trip so far. To Texas and back. These things really take a beating. Scuff marks, and scratches are most definetely noticable and cannot be removed. Im a little dissapointed. Ive only used the larger piece. But my bag looks like ive been on 5-6 trips already. THe inside is very nice, with plenty of storage and room. You can even extend the sixe of the bag with an extra "zipper" that allows for about another inch of width. There is a seperate zip to cover the inside of the top of the suitcase, to keep things like hair care products etc from your clothing.Id purchase again just due to the price. But the quality so far, Ims till thinking about. The wheels are 360 and thats just fantastic IMO. VEry easy to lug around and you dont have to "Pull" it behind you all the time. The inside fabric is cute to. very 20'ish style. Four stars for pricing and storage/ease of use. Sturdy and stylish November 16, 2014 The hard case is very sturdy. It holds a lot and has nice features inside like a locking strap on one side to hold clothes in and a zippered flap on the other side to hold clothes in. The wheels seem sturdy and roll with ease. I had no problems pushing the luggage around the smooth tiles of the airport or the bumpy sidewalks and streets of my destination. | 11% Great for traveling with heavy luggage - skiing, SCUBA diving, etc. August 29, 2017 I verified it against exercise weights I have at home, and it was within one pound on weights from 10 lbs to 25 lbs. The lift strap is quite secure with a clip on the end for a good latch. It should work on all luggage. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is there is no way to turn it off. It just times out after a couple of minutes. I can see where it may accidentally get turned on while in your luggage and run the battery down. Also, why does it have a thermometer? I cannot figure out why that would be useful on a luggage scale. Other than that it weighs accurately, is compact, and is easy to use; everything I was looking for. Must have for frequent fliers! August 16, 2017 Super convenient, light weight, and pretty darn accurate. This was my second one bc my first one got ran over....long story. But I love traveling with these. Takes the guess work out of packing. And no surprise unloading at the airline desk due to oversized bags. Highly recommend to anyone that flies even on a semi-regular basis. Practical item for Intl trips April 12, 2017 Really great item for my overseas trips. I used it to check my luggage wait before leaving the US and before coming back to make sure I wouldn't need to check my bag or pay extra, which is very important since I was flying a budget airline (stricter bag regulations). It didn't take up much room at all in my backpack I used and it was a great reassurance for my trip. Measures 2.5 - 3 lbs light. UPDATE: New unit measures 1.5 lbs HEAVIER June 30, 2016 Measures 2.5 - 3 lbs light. Take that into account, and it is very handy and easy to use.UPDATE: At their own initiative, the company sent me a replacement unit. The new one looks identical, and is still a little off - but closer. this one measures 1.5 lbs HEAVIER, which is definitely preferable to LIGHTER. I am upgrading to a 4 star, for the companies customer service! Very Well Made product January 13, 2016 I bought this to weigh my luggage for regular travel. I tried it out on a weight to check accuracy I selected a twenty pound bell weight and the Etekcity scale read 20.3 lbs. This item felt good in my hand and seems to be a very solid product. The temperature reading was very accurate and a nice add on application for this gauge. It measures weight in lbs or kilos and temperature is Centigrade and Fahrenheit . All in all a very handy gadget I highly recommend this product. Great scale for the price December 20, 2015 The product is a great deal for the price. I compared a lot of other weighing scales from different companies and bought this as it looked the best for the price. The packaging was nice and it matches the description on amazon perfectly.I have tested this on a 2 lbs pack and a 20lbs suitcase and it gives the exact weight. The whole product is made of plastic , but seems to be very strong and does not look cheap at all.The strap is of nylon and has a metal clip to attach it to the hook and the thing to be weighed it to be hanged on the strap. The product comes with a warning "the scale should not bear weight for extended period of time",not sure what would happen to it I do that by unknowingly. I guess that is the only possible down side to it.The added feature is the Temperature Sensor. I don't find it to be of much use. But if you are looking for a temperature sensor as well, then it gives the accurate temperature in Celsius and fahrenheit , I compared it with my house thermostat. | 19% Colorblind? July 21, 2017 Just got it today. I ordered blue and it says blue on the tag but it looks purple. Beside the color it's as discribed. Nice suitcase at a low price September 23, 2016 I love these cases, I love the color and they glided well. I've only taken on trip though and the larger one that I checked was pretty marred up after one trip. I've read this happens to a lot of cases though so I don't think it's a big deal but I'm not sure how long it will hold up. I don't get out on many trips so I hope this lasts quite a few years. these are fantastic. April 25, 2016 The zipper doesn't always line up, but other than that, which merely takes thought to correct, these are fantastic. Pretty good buy March 12, 2016 It arrived and was as expected. We took a trip already and it held up very well and worked very well for our needs. | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Three Star Reviews: | 7% Zipper stitching needs some attention. October 29, 2017 The zipper stitching is only a single pass if it breaks anywhere the whole thing unravels. Really surprised not to see a backstitch every so often just to keep the entire zipper from coming off. I had to staple my carry on before I even used it once and it wasn't from over filling. Maybe just a one off bad one, because my full size has made 3 trips and is still good, but the zipper stitching on that is single pass also with no lock stitches. I'm happy with it July 1, 2017 Traveled with it once. I'm happy with it, but concerned about the quality. The yellow gets dirty very easily, and on the smaller carry-on bag, the plastic at the base of the extendable handle is already starting to strip away. It has a warranty, but if you have an issue you're required to send a $40 "shipping and handling" charge with the luggage. This is nice luggage if you don't travel often June 27, 2017 This is nice luggage if you don't travel often. I'm a consultant and travel weekly and it has not been able to withstand the wear and tear. Purple not blue as requested December 2, 2016 This product's quality looks great. I haven't used it yet but it's definitely MORE PURPLE IN COLOR THAN BLUE. I started to wonder if I was becoming color blind until I saw the manufacturer's tag attached to the luggage displaying the exact blue that I ordered. I've considered contacting Amazon to arrange a switch but it may be more trouble than it's worth given I have a trip coming up shortly. I guess I can live with purple since the point of getting a bold color was to have it stand out at baggage claim. Just be warned. Meh, not bad. April 6, 2015 I bought these as a quick, I need a suitcase now, trip. They were cheap so, meh. I'm sure I will eventually buy a bigger, nicer heavy duty set of hard case luggage, but these served their purpose so far. I've only used them on two trips. The handle is perfectly find on the larger of the two, but on the smaller one, the pull out handle is very flimsy and shifts back and forth. It is not as stable to push the smaller one upright as it is with the bigger one.I can tell from the material on the inside that it is cheap, although it has not ripped on me yet, It feels that it very well could in the future. The outside is NOT scratch resistant in the slightest, and got scuffed during transport, but I'm not too mad, as I didn't spend a ton of money on these.Good for basic little trips here and there... but they aren't luxury by any means. but you feel the material is not good. I have traveled twice February 12, 2015 They have lot of space, but you feel the material is not good. I have traveled twice, from New Orleans to Tampa, the handbag didnt fit in the cabinets, because in the back is not flat, so they have to send it as a check in, I was really dissapoint it. When I took them in the airport they broked the big one, one of the small black parts in the side was not there. In the next travel I went outside the country. until know is Ok. I just bought it one month ago. | 3% Not so accurate September 4, 2017 Easy to use but the weight varries over a lb between each weighting of the same bag. Thats a lot when your bucking 50lb. Accuracy is not great August 27, 2017 Measured multiple known weights with the scale and they all showed less than what they should be.The good part is the consistency. Measured them multiple times and the results were same.for example7 pounds shows as 5.813 pound shows as 11.820 pound shows as 19.2All of these items are store bought items with extra weight.(like glass container and so on)I would have expected the weights to be on higher than what the product label say to account for the container weight. But on the contrary it shows less. Beware of battery!! May 25, 2017 the battery is crap. even taking it out when not in use, it was dead after the 3rd use. Not accurate enough for me February 9, 2017 If you are just weighing plane luggage it is probably fine, but it wasn't accurate enough for my usage. I wanted it to weigh backpacking gear. When I weigh two backpacks (about 3 lbs each) individually and then weigh them at the same time, the total varies by 3-4 oz. An error of 4% was too high for my usage. If your have weak arms this is hard June 27, 2016 This works but i found it hard to use. It's great if you have someone around who can easily pickup a heave suitcase otherwise it's really hard to lift. I used it once and probably worn ever use it agin | 4% Good for the most part September 23, 2017 It's fine for what it is: a lightweight suitcase, easy to manage. However, it zips around the middle. The support system inside the suitcase is a zippered flap on one side, which is a good thing. The other side has a very unsupportive strap holding in items that spill out when the suitcase is opened. This interior support system works better on the smaller suitcase, where you're not likely to pack as much. | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Two Star Reviews: | 5% 3 out of 4 wheels failed on the larger suitcase August 27, 2017 TL;DR 3 out of 4 wheels failed on the larger case after one summer of travel. Would not recommend.Pros: The cases on these are rock solid. Don't need to worry about external damage to your belongings. The smaller case has continued holding up well. Larger case might have held up better if I wasn't fully loading it so there was less stress on the wheels.Cons: After one summer of travel, three out of four of the wheels on the larger suitcase failed. Two of them lost their rubber cover, one of these two literally had the plastic go flat (See pictures), and the last failure the wheel mounting plate just fell off the casing. Now I'll admit, if I need to use the bigger suitcase when traveling, I try to fill it, but I never pack it to overweight status by USA airport standards. Always just shy of it, but apparently these wheels can't take that weight. Shame - I loved the colour of this bag May 23, 2017 The bigger one broke at the corner - not sure if that is as a result of them dropping it during travel or what - I ended up having to throw it away as the silk fabric of the bag lining started to push through and I was concerned it would rip and lose the contents. Shame - I loved the colour of this bag. We bought this back in 2015 for our Honeymoon and ... January 4, 2017 We bought this back in 2015 for our Honeymoon and took this to 3 different countries in Europe and it withstood all the traveling there, plane, train, cars, and rough terrain. Unfortunately, the smaller one gave first with the inner divider material ripping and the zipper started getting stuck and is now slowly breaking. The bigger one, 28 inch one, the straps inside broke when we took it to Hawaii end of 2015. Sadly these two didn't last a year. We still used the larger one occasionally just because I didn't want to do research in getting new ones. But now in 2017, it's time to retire these because it's just not working for us anymore. The outer shell is definitely durable. No scratches from different uses and cities we've been traveling to. But the fabric parts to this is definitely faulty. Plan for a breakdown when you can least afford it July 28, 2016 Purchased in Jan 2015 from Amazon. My wife used the large bag 6 to 10 times - not bad. While in Europe, one of the wheels stopped rolling. I inspected it and found that the wheel spindle had melted the cheapo plastic caster frame so that the wheel no longer spun freely. Without that wheel, the bag is actually worse than if it didn't have any wheels. You see, the "ABS" may be true but it is thinner than my North Face expedition bags that are flexible PVC (i.e., non-rigid). If you don't mind paying $100 for something you plan to replace after every trip, then these are your bags. Buyer beware though...you don't know when they will fail you. Right now, we are staring at a long haul through London's Heathrow airport and then through customs in the US. Not fun. Some other tidbits...1. Not clear "skate" wheels - not that the color matters; rather, the quality matters the most. If you can find me one person who can "skate" on these where skating does not involve ice, I will buy you a huge beer.2. ABS as thin as thin can be - cheapo Chinese crap. Hope the Chinese war machine is made with the same quality.3. Made in China - uh, well, yeah. Where else could you find crap like this?OK, that should do it. Yeah, I'm irritated. I'm the one who has to lug that damn behemoth around the airport. Pieces broken on day 2 May 23, 2016 Got these for my husband for an abroad trip to Italy. The are super light weight and very easy to maneuver, but when he went to open his bags after the flight, one of the zippers snapped off. Nothing should break on luggage in the first two days of use! Since this now makes it a pain in the butt for him to open and close I would not recommend this product. Cheap and may not last December 29, 2015 OK.. I should have gone to a store to check out the hard plastic type first before ordering. These units looked great online in the pictures. After I got them I was shocked at their quality and cheap appearance. Upon opening the box the set was sent in I pulled them out using the built in handle on the top of the unit and I thought the plastic was going to breakaway from the handle itself. After opening the cases, they looked so cheap and flimsy. I couldn't imagine what the ground crew at the airport would do to a full packed unit. I just returned them as I was not going to take a chance. I ended up buying the American Tourister set that we had for many years before it needed replacing.ps.. When I went to the stores to sample other brands in the hard shell type, most were also so cheap and ready to pull apart with any weight in them. | 1% Multiple uses ? May 2, 2017 I'm trying to set this up as a scale to help my grand daughter weigh the clothes , so the washer doesn't get overloaded ! Will cost you more money November 3, 2016 Very unreliable. The numbers are always wrong. Either over the limit, either below the limit. It caused me to pay extra money at the airport. When I weighted my luggage at home I got 50lbs. At the airport it was more than 10lbs over the limit and I hat to pay $75 penaltySo no don't buy it. Dead Battery August 30, 2016 I'm really frustrated. It was working well enough (for the price) when I got it--certainly nothing fancy--but after only four uses it stopped working entirely. It seems to be telling me that battery is low, but I have no idea where to get this type of replacement battery, and it shouldn't be conking out after only four uses and less than a few months in my possession. Very disappointing. I wish I hadn't bought it. :/ Wanted to like this scale August 14, 2016 Wanted to like this scale, but after half a dozen tries, it refused to offer a single reading. I decided to check the battery and was surprised to see it dented and scratched -- how's that possible for a brand new unit? Even after re-inserting the battery, it still didn't work. I so needed this for an international trip, but it was completely useless. I don't like receiving a refurbished unit when I paid for a new one. The scale worked fine when I first got it but after a 2 ... July 21, 2016 The scale worked fine when I first got it but after a 2 weeks of having this and barelyyyy using it I had to buy a new battery for it. Then, when I finally got new batteries for it, the scale kept glitching and getting stuck on some screen and I couldn't get out of it, turn it off or anything.. So every time that happened, I would have to remove the battery and put it back in. I would NOT recommend this product...I don't use this thing enough to need to buy a new one though. Utter garbabge February 17, 2016 Talk about useless. I bought this scale and used it a couple of days ago in anticipation of a big international trip. We weighed four different pieces of luggage until they all clocked in at 48.5 to 50 lbs because of weight restrictions on the airlines and ended up having to leave behind lots of stuff because everything was going to be too heavy. All the time we thought, "huh, that's weird. We didn't buy that much stuff!" When we got to the counter of the airline yesterday, we found out that each bag was 8 to 12 lbs UNDERWEIGHT. We ended up just throwing some things in our carry on to the main luggage just because we could. So, it was precise in that every bag was within the same range of weight, but totally off and not accurate at all. Buy any other luggage scale; this one is utter garbage. | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
One Star Reviews: | 11% I do not recommend October 30, 2017 I bought 3 sets of suitcases from the brand Rockland and all are damaged by the same problem, the wheels do not support the weight of 50 pounds, they are very weak and I believe in this brand I lost money, I will not buy more suitcases from this brand, I do not recommend it I am very disappointed with this luggage March 28, 2017 The wheels and handles are not made well, I am very disappointed with this luggage, was only brought in December 2016. It looked really nice, roomy and was light weight but only after two uses the wheels on the large suit case are bent, the rubber has fallen off and the handle has broke off, making the suit case very difficult to use and roll... Then when I attempted to return or exchange for a new one there was no option available on Amazon to do so. All Show and NO go... July 24, 2016 Great luggage should look great and be durable no matter where in the world you travel. The manufacturer of this product should be ashamed!!! I had two major cracks that left our packed items exposed. I was going to contact the company and read all the negative comments of how warranties were not honored and how people got the run around. Amazon should take this off their listing. Promoting questionable items like this makes Amazon really look bad. If the owner can't honor his/her products things will eventually catch up to them. Very dissapointed. this one is not meant for checked in baggage. November 29, 2015 I brought this product after going through the reviews that were posted at amazon. I had a very bad experience with this suitcase. I checked in this suitcase while travelling to east coast and when I collected this suit case I found it completely broken on the top. I'm extremely disappointed with this product. Terrible quality October 10, 2015 This luggage set was purchased in January 2015 and was used 5 or 6 times and is already completely unusable. The quality of the casing is visibly poor and the shell dents/scratches easily. Without any sort of notice, the handle completely dislodged from the arm (see picture). Bad quality and horrible "warranty policy" September 9, 2015 This suitcase would be nice if:- the wheels were solid;- the vendor had honest business practices. But the wheels are flimsy and the vendor has the work ethic of a rabid weasel, so do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY LIKE THE PLAGUE! And buy from somebody else instead.I bought a Rockland Melbourne set one year ago. I was initially very happy with them. I travel at least once a month, and I would use the smaller one as my cabin luggage, but sometimes I could also expand it to hold more cargo. When I needed even more capacity, I would take both the small and medium suitcases; and if I had less stuff on the way back, I could always put the small suitcase in the medium suitcase. Convenient! I definitely used them a lot, but at the same time, since I'm always traveling by plane, I never overleaded them, because US airlines charge you an arm and a leg if your suitcase exceeds 50 pounds. In the first few months, everything went well, and I had only great things to say about those suitcases. The 4 wheels were extremely convenient, and a few times, I managed to haul all 3 pieces of luggage by myself like a champ. And then I started to have issues with the smaller one. It was as if the wheels wouldn't spin very well. I tried to clean them, but it didn't help. It's only when I compared the front wheels and the back wheels that I realized what was going on: the wheels were literally disintegrating; they were shedding away lumps of plastic until almost nothing was left.See what I mean on this picture: [...]On the right, a good, healthy wheel. On the left, the poor remnants of a wheel. Doesn't roll very well.I decided to stop using the smaller suitcase, but continued to use the two others ... Until I had exactly the same issue with the medium suitcase. So I thought I got a defective batch, and I decided to contact Rockland to use the warranty.Lo and behold: Rockland was initially very helpful, sending me all the forms I needed to place a warranty claim. And then, they said that to use the warranty, I had to:- send them my luggage items, at my cost;- at a $40 processing fee, that would be lost no matter what;- and that even after that, they would decide whether or not my suitcases were warranty-worthy and that I wouldn't have a word to say about it.That's not a "warranty policy." The warranty is there so that if my product doesn't work or breaks after normal use, I can get a replacement without having to pay 50% of the price of a brand new product. This "warranty policy" should be a huge red flag. When a vendor has good products, they know that only a very small % will have problems, so they can afford to cover everything (shipping the defective product, repairing or replacing it) just by adding a small % to the item price. When a vendor has s***ty products, they have two choices:- increase their prices significantly to still provide good customer service (by covering replacement costs);- gouge the customer by charging them extra when their products are defective.Rockland is doing the latter. You've been warned! | 3% not accurate, weighed my suitcases before we headed to ... September 26, 2017 not accurate, weighed my suitcases before we headed to JFK, got there and the desk representative told me we were over by two pounds in each of our suitcases! Waste of money. September 11, 2017 Absolutely a waste of money did not even get a single use out of the product. Bought to weigh luggage for an extended over seas trip morning before I left, opened package put in batteries, scale turn on and promptly turned off. Waste of money!!! Less than one star. NOPE March 1, 2017 So disappointed, the sticky in this product only lasted a month. It was a replacement for one I had like 2 years that broke on the handle, the sticky Never came off! 👎👎 Disappointed. August 21, 2016 Appears used. Came with battery already inside the scale. No instruction manual. Box was opened. Tried to use it. Wasn't working. It won't hold the weight. Not sure if this was Amazons fault or Elekticty. Didn't bother to return it. For 8$ it wasn't worth a trip to the post office. But still. Disappointed. Poor quality... April 21, 2016 I keep getting "error" message every single time I try to weigh my bag. Need to reset it numerous times before I get a reading which seem to be accurate/reasonable. I can't really rely on it and wouldn't recommend it! | 18% Help me! My suitcase arrived broken and I'm on vacation. April 24, 2016 Please contact me on how to replace damaged suit case. I'm on vacation and the hotel busted my suit case. This is my replacement. I need this to be resolved immediately and I will update this review accordingly. Not a hard luggage in the actual sense March 12, 2016 The smaller luggage came defective as the retractable handle was not coming out fully. Also these Rockland luggage are not hard shell luggage in the true sense. The two halves of each luggage are attached by a rubber and cloth to each other instead of hinges joining the two halves. So after few usage, if the rubber or cloth tears away, you are left with two halves of a luggage that have hard outer casing but will not close together. WHEELS BROKE IN LESS THAN 2 HOURS INTO MY TRIP!! March 6, 2016 I can't believe that THE WHEELS BROKE ONLY 2 HOURSSSSS INTO MY TRIP !!!! I have burns and scrapes on my hands because I had to physically carry the extra large luggage ! Worstttt vacation everrrrrr because of the luggage PLEASEEEEEE FIX THE WHEELS ON THOSE THINGS...SO PRETTY FOR NOTHING!!!!!!!! 0 starsssss | 0% There are no reviews yet |
