Side by Side Comparison of: Nine West vs Camry vs Master Lock

This is a beautiful. Sturdy set. I bought it for my daughter as a graduation gift, she graduated from junior college and was on her way to George Washington university in DC. She has been to Israel with this set lugging it to 4 different hotels, she has been to Atlanta, Texas and NYC with it. It has held up wonderfully. It has been 8 months since the purchase, it still looks new. My daughter loves the color and style. The price was a shocker, I thought it was going to be flimsy, but to my surprise, I was wrong. I am happy I took the chance, and bought this set.
UPDATE : July will be 1 year since I purchased this set. The Larger luggage, the wheels are busted, my daughter can still wheel it, but it doesn't work as well as before. The other smaller ones are in great shape. She has traveled alot in less than a year, so I guess it's to be expected. Other than that, no complaints and my daughter is still happy with the purchase.

Item as describe, fast shipping. Nice color, looks fashionable. Look good for the price. A wheel of the little spinning broke in the first trip.

This luggage is very cute and worth the price! It looks great in person and is sturdy enough. The pieces are a lot bigger than I expected them to be (but than again I didn't pay attention to the measurements). I honestly felt like I won with this purchase. Can't wait to show it off on my next vacation. I hope it can withstand the test of being thrown away on the airport luggage conveyor belt, we shall see lol.

I was very hesitant after I purchased this having gone through and read all the negative reviews. A few people said that the bags weren't sturdy/good quality and that they weren't really Nine West. Well, I was very anxiously awaiting the arrival of my bags, worried I would have to send them back, but I really shouldn't have been. This is a very nice luggage set. It came complete with the original tags from Nine West (Original price well over $300). So I have no doubt that these are original. The craftmanship is good and the quality sturdy. The handles on the carryon are long so you don't have to worry about bending over when pulling these suit cases, which is nice because some of the smaller suitcases I was looking at didn't have long handles. I've used the carry-on case and the carry-on duffle and cosmetic bag so far and with great success. They DO have the extra 2" of space if you want to use it which I did on my trip back home and it worked great(other negative reviews had said they lied about the 2" of extra space). I have no negative things to say about these bags. I'm excited to use them again. I only wish I had another trip coming up soon.

I bought this distinctive set of Nine West luggage about 6 weeks ago and couldn't be happier! Already I have taken the suitcases on two international flights with multiple connections, as well as a cross-country road trip, and the bags are still as good as new. My favorite piece of the set is the surprisingly roomy carry-on "rolling bowler" duffel bag with wheels that you can either tote by the big looped handles or wheel along vertically with the telescoping handle. I've been a world traveler for three decades now, and I think this Nine West duffel bag might become my favorite piece of luggage ever.

Satisfaction is subjective: One reviewer commented that this set was smaller than she/he expected ... I found the suitcases bigger than expected! Another reviewer said that a downside of this set was the weird bluish-green color, but that weird shade is called "teal," as the set was advertised. Teal is my favorite color and was a big incentive for my purchase.

Airport perk of this luggage: The distinctive teal shade of the suitcases with their brown leather trim really sets you apart and will keep you from mixing up your bags with anybody else's (or vice versa) at the baggage carousel.

Another airport observation: I have noticed that some airports have Nine West shops catering to fashionable women's shoes and handbags. Although I'm a guy and not in the market for those items, I proudly wheeled my Nine West luggage by their shops. These bags are not "rugged" by any means, but they have an elegant unisex look that many travelers will enjoy. Glad I got these at a big discount at Amazon.

I have a large suitcase, with the 4 rolling wheels, for when me and my lady vacation. Depending on where we go, I bring snorkel and fins, or helmet and snowboard boots. Plus, my suitcase is filled with all of her over flow (not complaining.) So on top of all the other travel woes, there is a moment of panic regarding weight. I don't have a scale, so this little beauty saves the day each trip. Takes but a minute to easy my mind and head to the airport.

Great product that does what it says it does. Sure beats standing on the bathroom scale. No more of that for me. This portable luggage scale works great. Have taken it on several trips with me and it really comes in handy. The convenient nylon strap is easy to use to get an very accurate reading of your luggage. Will update review if I encounter any problems.

If you fly a lot, this is a purchase you absolutely have to make - no more stepping on and off of scales while holding bags, trying to see what the difference was, no more guessing and hoping that you are under that 50 lb mark. This scale is simple, accurate, easy to use, and simply saves a boatload of headache and potentially overweight fees. I have no idea why in the world someone thought that a thermometer needed to be included in the package, but just forget that it's there and weigh away. I would say that this was one of my top 5 purchases in the last several years due to the amount of time and effort that it saves. The great comic Bryan Regan talks about the difficulty of weighing large boxes because even after stepping on the scales while holding them, "because ya still can't see the numbers!" Well, now you can!

I bought this just before leaving to India. Trust me, it is truly a life saver. It really helped to check each and every luggage and make sure it is around the allowed limit of 23 KG. Readings were reliable and we had no surprises during check out at airport when air hostess checked the weight to check for limit. It is very easy to carry this during travel and is your true travel companion for air travel, because it is important you know how much you are carrying.I recommend this product. But remember following catch / con in its usage:1. You should be patient and strong enough person to lift the weight by hanging it to the hook given in this device, every time you want to weigh your luggage.2. You are not try to weigh stuff whose weight is less than 1 KG often, because it is not really accurate at times when weighing small weights.For my requirements, this was well suited. But hope my review helps some-one out there looking for this type of product.

When I got to airport I weighed my luggage and the scale showed the exact same weight as the airline scale, the product performed perfectly.

Update 1/26/16 - So I have done a full airport travel with this luggage now and must say I am still pleased. I have used the duffle bag a few times for small road trips as well as the airport carry on bag and one of the threads is already coming lose in the stitching which I am surprised by. I am keeping an eye on it make sure nothing else happens. They will be used again May 2016 for another big airport travel.

I just received these yesterday and couldn't be more pleased! They are beautiful to began with and they are very roomie with having the expansion part. I can not wait to travel in December with my new luggage! It will be styling at the airport with my roller duffle bag! Couldn't be happier with this purchase!

I bought this last minute for a trip to Europe. I purchased the 'teal' collection (which you will see has different bag options than the black collection). I like the duffel bag with rolling wheels; it makes an excellent carry-on for shorter trips. For a longer trip like the one that I'm currently on (I'm writing this in a Lufthansa lounge in Frankfurt, Hallo, Leute!), I recommend the carry-on + rolling duffel. I can imagine using the large case one day, but not when I'm on a multi-city trip. I hate checking bags.

Three complaints: (1) the color of this 'teal' collection is decidedly ambiguous. Is it green? is it blue? depend on the lighting. (2) I love the look and design with the leather detail, etc., but as a guy I have to say that the shape of the duffel bag and the design of the handles make it look like a large women's purse. Not sure how I feel about this yet. (3) The wheels on the carry-on are a little stiff, but maybe they just need to be broken in.

I took these on a round trip vacation to Japan, and let me tell you they were much sturdier than I was expecting. I drug these suitcases all over the place - No one told me it was a 30 minute WALK from the airport to my host family's house. Along roads and through gravel, these guys held up. When our group moved to a house at a university, it was a couple of train rides and more walking walking walking. Through more gravel and up and down hills. I'll admit the bottom of the big suitcase looks a little worn out now, but no busting through, no broken zippers, and no wheels falling off. My ONLY complain would be that the wheels are so small, you can get hung up on bumpy terrain, but I think my situation as not the norm. Bigger wheels would have also compensated for it becoming a bit top heavy when full. All in all though, pretty impressed.

I'm just in love with this set, they are simply designed, classy, stylish and convenient but I'm very disturbed by a warning I've read on one of the labels, that reads:
"This product contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause CANCER & or BIRTH DEFECTS or other REPRODUCTIVE harm."
Have I know this before it certainly would have an effect on my decision to buy this product, though I adore them now. I think it's very unfair to us customers not being able to learn of this warning before purchase, so sorry but I'm thinking of showing this label warning to my lawyer. Will someone please answer me and let me know what chemicals are in this product. My daughter is a scientist/ Chemist.

So I lost my expensive luggage in a home flooding and needed to get something quick for myself and a 2 year old for a 7 day cruise. I believe in investing in good luggage because it will benefit you in the long run. However, I needed to find something quick and I didn't want to waist money since I hadn't found anything to replace my previous set.

Pros: sufficient storage and expandable, great value for the price, shipping was fast. I have prime and the package arrived 2 days later. Held up through the beating from the car-shuttle-airport-shuttle-hotel-shuttle-cruise-shuttle-airport-shuttle-car. That was a lot of beating in a 10 day period. The 28" was packed to capacity, 20" still had a little room. The luggage was in great condition from the beating it took.

Cons: the bags constantly topple over if you pack to medium or higher capacity. The color is weird and looks like a navy but is more like a greenish blue color. If you have a fear of someone breaking into your bag, don't choose this one as the material is not very thick and career thieves know the zipper trick. Note: The zipper trick applies to most fabric luggage.

All in all the set works and comes with everything you need. For someone who spends a few thousand on a nice, safe set of luggage and travels a lot. I was really impressed. Based on the price, quantity, style and quality, the pros outweigh the cons. I think I may buy a few for Christmas presents. Hope this helps!!

I bought this item about 11 months ago, and rarely used it since. Just see it not working recently. I wrote to the company to complain with no much hope for their positive response according to some of the reviews, though the company claims that they have two year warranty for their products. With a nice surprise, they wrote back, asked some photos or video to show the problem, and promised a replacement. I've got the replacement today, and would hope it will work for a seasonable period this time. The missing one star is for the concern of the quality of the item, perhaps I was unlucky having gotten a not good one on purchase. But the service alone deserves a five star rating.

Measures weight pretty accurately and precisely. I tested the scale with my bike (which I know the weight of) before using it for luggage, and it reported the weight correctly. Used it during my previous international trip, worked well.Silver shroud is plastic, and not anodized aluminum as it appears. It does feel a bit cheap, as if some component, either internal or external, will break soon enough, but it hasn't yet.

This is extremely accurate! I love it:-) The reason for the minus 1 star is because you have to read it while holding your luggage, which can be a bit difficult.

This is super accurate and it's awesome to have in the house to get an accurate reading before you fly out and know how much your suitcase is way before you get to the line and realize you have to pay extra for an overload or have to take things out of your back so definitely get one of these it's portable it's awesome

Works fine and a good device. Was going to give it 3 stars because of how cheaply made it is, but all of them are cheaply made and this one has the price point to match it (although it should be more like $2). Nevertheless this is probably the best one to get. It functions. Its cheap.Just buy it.

This scale was worth every penny because of the money we saved by balancing our luggage on a recent trip. It's accurate (as accurate as airline scales anyway), small, & easy to use. I've even used it to weigh other heavy items because it has an enormous 110# capacity. My wife helped me use it to check the draw weight on my bow too.However, I can't comment on its longevity or long term accuracy. Time will tell.

As a whole this collection is mostly good. The bag I use the most is the second largest and it is not standing the tests of time. The internal frame has come back to me bent (twice). The wheels are too small and the back ones have very worn down frames from my short (5'2") self dragging it all across the world. It also refuses to stand up on its on and enjoys doing faceplants often. I can say that the zippers seem to be of quality and have had no issues there, which is short of a luggage miracle. Good for those who travel less often (like 2X per year).

3 stars because 5 pieces for $109. The large roller bag: on it's second use, the cab driver pulled my bag out of the trunk by the top handle and it broke; the "fastener" on one side broke and popped out so the handle is just attatched by the one side hanging there. Yes, my bag weighed in at 48.9 pounds but the first time I used it, it weighed in around 68 pounds, so there you have it. Did my cabbie use a little too much force? Maybe, but more likely its just cheap materials. The smaller roller bag: on it's first use, one of the wheels spilt in half lengthwise somewhere between checking the bag and getting it back from baggage claim. It can still be rolled, but it's wonky. I havent used the rolling duffel bag yet, and the other 2 items are still going strong... Not that they've been put through the ringer at all. If you are looking for something to stand up to baggage handlers and overzealous cab drivers, this probably isnt the way to go, but again, for the price, you will most likely get your use out of them either way.

Looks great in pics, but actually feels and functions like a cheap set of luggage. Nice color, though. The handles are plastic and the material looks like a mix between plastic and canvas...just not so hot. They tip over with the slightest touch.

Still a steal of a deal for the price...I use the rolling tote and small totes frequently. I imagine that the two suitcases will be broken with a few trips to baggage claim...the carry on survived two trips so far.

Just received this luggage. I was super excited to receive it because it appeared to be a sapphire blue color in the photo. When I saw that the description listed it as teal, I was happy because I figured it would be some firm of blue, so winner either way. This is not blue. This so close to hunter green, I can picture it sitting next to a roaring fireplace inside the den of a lodge! I am not sure who would name this color teal, but ,whoever they are, they are confused. Just thought I would let you all know.
I gave three stars because the construction and feel of the luggage is great. The color was the only bummer, but that is personal preference.

The luggage is beautiful and is a great value for the price I got it through Amazon. HOWEVER....the wheels are HORRIBLE! They don't roll at all and you practically get a hernia dragging the largest one around. I almost returned the set, but decided not to hassle with it. It's just unfortunate because everything else about the set is great.

When I bought this 2 years back, It functioned great, even for low weighing items.Now, after couple years, after lifting, the weight shown suddenly changes to 0 or negative value. This happens frequently now a days.

It did not accurately read the right weight of the big suitcase with clothing in it. It read 49.6 lbs and when I got to airport, they weighed the luggage and it read 52.6 lbs. I had to pay an additional $75/

Great but don't forget to take out the batteries between uses...I am a chronic over packer and this device is critical for avoiding overweight charges. Airlines are so strict now.I bought this to replace my other one that uses up all the battery power when not in use. If I forgot to remove the battery after using it, it was dead the next time I took it out. This one does the same thing. So now I have two that annoy me and those little 2032 batteries are not cheap.

The scale reading was off from 5 to 10 pounds. On one occasion we had to pay extra $25 for our bags because it was overweight. Had it been accurate or known ahead of time we could have just moved some of our stuff around in our other bags. But since we were flying internationally we did not have the privilege of time to be changing around our stuff at the airport to meet the required weight, hence why we bought the scale in the first place.

The title says it. It seems ok, but I question the accuracy. I loaded some weights in a bag and weighed with this luggage scale and my regular bathroom scale. The luggage scale was .6 lbs lighter. As I added more weight to the bag the variance became greater with the luggage scale increasing to just about 1 lb lighter than my bathroom scale. I guess I don't know which is correct and which is wrong. But, this variance is concerning. I suppose as long as I don't fill my luggage beyond 48 lbs or so I should be ok. I may return this product.

The Camry 110 lb luggage scale does the job but their are others out there that do a slightly better job. The biggest problem I had that the handles were very small so lifting a 50 lb back with smaller handles was difficult. There are other products which a person on the trip had which the handles extend and you could hold the the bag much easier. The product performed well and weighed the bag accurately just didn't have ease of use compared to other hand weight scales.

I bought this set in September 2016. I have been on approximately 8 plane rides since then and the smallestest rolling bag zipper and wheel broke and the medium rolling bag zipper busted and is not usable anymore. This was all in all not worth the money at all. These are not quality/longevity pieces. Very unhappy that I now have to purchase a whole new set because who lugs around the huge gigantic bag (which is the only one that is still working) I would give it one star BUT if you are only looking to use this for 1-4 trips and like the style go for it! Just beware this set will not last the test of time or being thrown around in baggage! :-)

This luggage fell apart with the first use. One bag ripped, a label fell off, and the main handle got jammed on another bag. All of this after one flight. It's inexpensive for a reason.

Look great but these are flimsy and will not last long. I took to New York with me and after one trip they are dinged up and the shape doesn't hold. Also, the wheels aren't large enough or separated from the bag enough, so when you roll slanted the base of the luggage catches the floor.

Bags don't remain upright, large suitcase doesn't have a handle on the bottom to lift when fully packed, so it's difficult. We used this set twice when traveling out of state via car (so not handled by the airlines - I don't think it's hold up to that) - Nine West nameplate popped off large case, fabric looks worn and as I stated cases don't stay upright- this set was a waste of money, it's basically a disposable set...spend your money elsewhere on a set actually meant for travel.. 2 stars because it is attractive.

My daughter loves this luggage. She is constantly staying with friends overnight and there is a piece of luggage for every occasion. You will not be disappointed UNLESS you take it on a trip to Europe. The largest piece is not user friendly at all. My son took it on a 2 week trip around Germany and he said pulling the largest bag was like towing a dead body around with a handle. The wheels are too deeply set into the luggage and might as well be nonexistent. The strap handle broke loose in Munich. The bottom fabric ripped loose n Stuttgart. This luggage is not meant to be towed around or treated rough. It's ok for little easy trips but not strong enough to sustain constant use. If you travel a lot, go with a Samsonite spinner series...it's built for world and airport travel.

Difficult to get the scales to register the weight

Near the end of my second trip it quit working. No display. Changed battery, still nothing. Worked fine at first but now, no display.

I bought this based on previous reviews. I am preparing to travel to the East Coast so I wanted to make sure my luggage isn't over 50 pounds. I followed the directions in the manual. The luggage is 10 pounds empty so I wasn't sure how the scale would measure the weight. Does it include contents of the bag AND the luggage or just contents of the luggage? I am still not clear about that.WHen I turned it on for the first time, the black covering came off. So I had to reattach the black covering for the off/on button. The first time I weighed my luggage it said 9 pounds. I knew that couldn't be correct. I have a 10 pound weight in my apartment and this bag is heavier than my dumbbell. So I turned it off and back on. I held the scale over the bag,horizontally, for a longer period of time. The scale flashed 3 times and it said my bag was 13.4 pounds. That still didn't seem correct to me because the bag feels pretty heavy. So I took it to a UPS store to be weighed. Their scale said my bag was 27.5 pounds. That's a HUGE difference. It's still under 50 pounds but I can't trust a scale that gives a 14 pound discrepancy. I plan to send it back since its not accurate for what I need.

battery went dead after 2 months... didn't like the hanging thing... there are better scales out there. found one with LED at Marshall's that is much better. don't like the kg/ lbs readout.... could never get it to go to lbs. as the default.

This scale uses CR2032 battery. It would have been helpful if it uses AA or AAA batteries instead.. Particularly considering this is a travel accessory..Just imagine out of country / out of state and the battery is down . It will be so difficult to find the CR2032 batteries!!Moreover, it takes too long to lock the reading and is very frustrating when I am lifting the 50lbs in .. the reading also switches to 0lbs while trying to lock.I recommend paying more and buying a better product.

I highly recommend NOT buying this luggage set. After my very first trip, one of the wheels broke. On the second trip, the entire frame of the large luggage piece bent completely and became dented in a number of spots. the "nine west" metal labels have all fallen off and these things do NOT roll easily - they are a major chore to roll through the airport, even on the slickest ground/surface. I wish I had not wasted my money on this luggage and have had to junk it all except for the duffel bag which I still occasionally use (not for plane travel). :(

Ordered this set in June and have only used it a few times. Two of the four pieces have already failed. On one, the zipper broke by the third time and on the larger suitcase the wheel broke by the second use. I have had many luggage sets over the years and this, by far, is the worst quality. Don't waste your money and buy this set that won't last through half a dozen uses. I'm gong to have to buy another set now and that's after only having this set for less than 6 months.

I have used only the 28" spinner and the 20" spinner only once for an international trip and the handle of the 28" spinner refuse to eject. I am not seeing any options to return and I am abroad studying and will need to purchase another suitcase when I have to return home. This experience has been disappointing and there has been no avenues for any redress. I have had to struggle through airports and fummble through metros. Truly an unsatisfied customer.

I had really, really high hopes for these bags, and when they arrived, they looked fine so I packed up my NYC apt and made my way to the airport to move to Dallas, TX. What I realized, mid-journey, is that these bags are not functional at all. The small carry-on doesn't have a handle on the side so, every time I tried to lift up the bag to place it on the overhead storage, I had to grab a wheel or get the help of someone around me to get it up and secure. The largest bag also has a similar problem, there is no place to grab on the bottom of the bag to place into a car, etc. I packed pretty heavily so it was hell trying to transport this around. I'm a 5'6, 130 lb woman, and it was the worst. Unfortunately, I don't think I can return these because I threw out the handbag (as I didn't need it) and have already used the others. Save yourself the money and look elsewhere for good luggage.

Not accurate. This just came in the mail with a fresh battery. 25lbs reads as 24lbs.Everything I've weighed comes in under the actual weight.That's enough to cause a major inconvenience and $$ at the airport.Will be returning this product.

This scale is not accurate. Twice now, I got to the airport for international flights and I had to take a couple of pounds off of my luggage to take with me in my carry-on, which pisses me off completely. The scale is not properly calibrated and I have no idea how to do it myself.

It seemed to work well, enough, but it reads around 5% less than the true weight, which required opening the luggae and moving items from checked luggage to carry-on.

Doesn't work. When I turn it on it shows 888.8lb and doesn't do anything. I ordered this last minute, I am leaving tomorrow and needed to weigh my bags. I just received it and it doesn't work. I had to order another scale with one day shipping!!!! hope that one gets here on time. I am traveling oversees for over a month so I won't even have time to return it. I have to throw it in the garbage :/ waste of money :(

don'twaste your time and money to buy this product. After one use when I turn on the scale I have only a bunch of 8 numbers appearing on the display. The only one time I got to use it , it got the job done , but that was it. I change the battery but no luck. I do not recommended it,there is nowhere you can turn to have the problem fix. Sorry not buying it again.
