I wish they offered a short 8 inch cord as well for people who want to wire it into the dome circuit instead of having 5 feet of cable to wind up.
Supplier made everything right! A nice unit and very happy with it!
April 1, 2015
I wrote an earlier review saying the product didn't work and I was waiting for a new one. The supplier shipped one directly to me and it works just fine. The instructions were most of the problem but the unit is all that I could have expected and I'm very happy with it. Also, another reviewer mentioned a problem with the rear view mirror but I am not experiencing any problem with the mirror that comes with the unit at all. I can see just fine with it. A very nice dash cam!
What a crash looks like with this. Unfortunate that that's why I'm writing this review
February 23, 2015
i recently got in a wreck while using this dashcam. I posted the vid to YouTube. The time stamp isn't correct because I never set the date. The video file locked immediately following the wreck so I highly reccomend this. It helped with insurance and the police. I cut the audio out, but typically there is audio, I just don't want you guys hearing me yell "nooooo"
Good for the money. Easy hookup. Works easy and couldn't have asked for a better product.
February 13, 2015
It did indeed come with a 16 GB micro sdhc card. Works well. I was maybe hoping for a wider angle lens but it'll do. Having 2 camera's is nice. Wish it had 3 to get the whole field of view and rear.

Easy to hookup. It was my first time and it was such a cake walk. It even comes with a usb cable with car adapter that is long enough to go from the mirror up a little, over the passenger side, down the door, under the glove box, back to the center console and into the compartment where I have an audio usb plug instead of the card charger plug. Amazing. Comes with little stickies that I'd recommend putting on in hot weather. They tend to come off in our 5-20 degree weather we've had lately in good ole nebraska.

This Dash Cam is awesome. I was in a accident 3 years ago where I was pushed into another car (a 3 car accident, I was hit from behind and pushed into another car ). The woman in front was able to collect money from my insurance because she said I hit her twice from behind. I didn't but, I had no proof. Easy to setup and use also, the power wire was easy to hide from view. The instructions were not great but, was able to understand on how to use it the way it needed to be used. A MUST HAVE FOR ALL DRIVERS.

Good, but needs an Update. Nice "hidden" design for Uber/Lyft.
April 24, 2017
This is a very unobtrusive dashcam. People tend to ignore it. Works good for what it is.

However, it DESPERATELY needs an update to be able to use SD cards larger than 32GB. BC that is all it can use, which is WAY too small for video files. Also, getting the cards to click in and out takes more effort than it should. It's not ergonomic at all. You have to hold the device so it doesn't slide off your mirror while you press very hard with your fingernail (if you happen to have one, bc there is no finger depression on the side to make getting the card in or out easy), while trying to find the sweet spot to make the card click in or out.

Like I said, the device works as it should overall, and the quality is decent, though the night mode does need a boost. And as mentioned, certain small yet important usability changes need to happen to make this a much better device than it currently is.

If you want an unobtrusive Dashcam for Uber, this is the only one I have found that is designed like this. But you will be needing to swap those tiny 32gb cards every few hours. And to me, that is just unacceptable considering the level of technology available today. All it would take is the Mfg (Falcon) using a slightly newer chip. An upgrade which would add maybe a nickel to their total manufacturing cost, if that.
Best of the worst. Most dashcams are terrible, this one is just not amazing, and that's a compliment.
July 14, 2016
The Falcon Zero is the best dashcam that I have tried so far, but it's not quite the perfect solution.

PROS: Easy to use rear brackets mean no fiddling around with velcro like many other manufacturers mirror mounted cams.
Dual cameras make this an excellent dashcam choice for rideshare drivers looking for personal security as well as evidence in a collision.
180 degree rotating cameras mean you can adjust to get the perfect positioning of the cameras for your vehicle.

CONS: In particular, the camera does not have a wide enough view for front facing dash. You get some, but not all of the picture.
Nightvision mode works better than other dashcams I have tried, but does not quite meet expectations.
AUDIO recording is terrible. It does a great job of recording sounds near it, like the driver, the radio, and even my dash mounted phone.
However, one must make real effort to hear the passengers in the back seat. Considering one of the primary reasons I purchased this
device was to have video/audio evidence of incidents involving rideshare passengers, this is a big shortfall.
Not sure how or why, (and I've consulted with other owners, it's not a one off defect, they all do this) but the "guts" of the device are not
well secured. Because of this, there is always a rattling sound in the audio recording, further baffling sounds coming from the back seat.

In short, I'm still not completely happy with this cam, but in a field of even worse options, this one is the best I've found. Unfortunately, nobody has stepped up to the plate to build a better 2 way camera system.
Avoid A Felony, Florida Drivers!
June 20, 2016
This unit was easy to setup. It came with everything needed to set up your unit within a matter of minutes. Depending on how picky you are about exposed wires, you may want to give yourself about 15-30 minutes to properly hide/tuck wires out of sight.

I installed this in my 2006 Dodge Magnum. It barely squeezes into the area over my rear view mirror, leaving the placement of the mirror, and therefore the cameras, at a bit of an angel. Additionally, I ran the wiring down the passenger side, through the glove box, along the center console molding, and into my center console unit itself - this way I could control when it is on and off. This area does drain your battery with the vehicle off - so be mindful if you go this route. Additionally, the provided wire came short about 6 inches, so I bought a cheap, $4.96 6 ft USB extender cord from Walmart. You do not need an additional wire if you are going to your center dash lighter socket (at least not so for an 06 Magnum)

In terms of video quality: B+. I am not looking to make a full length, feature film in 4K with Dolby Digital. I am looking to document anything that may occur while I am operating my vehicle, whether it be a collision, interaction with LEO, etc. If you are looking for eye shattering clarity and exceptional audio pick up, this is not the camera for you.

Video: I'd rate the video on this 8/10 (which is sufficient for capturing what you need)

Audio: I'd rate the audio on this 8/10 (which is sufficient for capturing what you need)

Ease of use: 10/10

Installation: 10/10

Function: 7/10 - I wish it had an audio on/off button directly on the face so it was easily and quickly changeable

Cons: I live in Florida, which is a 2-party consent state. What this means is this: if you make an audio recording of any individual, whether on public or private properly, that individual needs to grant you permission, and consent, to you making said-recording. This gets a little wonky when dealing with Law Enforcement, as in order to prove that you were given permission, you need to break the law in order to document that you were given permission. It's a catch 22. So, I keep the audio recording turned off. In the event that I get pulled over, I'll quickly prompt the camera for Audio, advise the LEO of my intentions, and carry on. The difference of doing this correctly is a matter of a felony. Heads up, Florida folks.
Good for the price
September 17, 2015
The biggest caveat are the double-sided stickers that are used in conjunction with plastic tabs to hold the wire: These stickers do not stick well to the plastic tabs. So I will be using an alternative instead.

The cameras do not record well enough for a viewer to discern license plate numbers through recordings. However, it does record audio, so it would be possible to SAY the license plate number, in certain cases. (The main reason for this device is to record an event, in any case.)

The nightvision option is not true nightvision. (Of course not, for this price.)

Other than that, I recommend this product. The camera and its clip-on mount feel durable and well-built. Its menu is easy-to-use, once you learn how. Each of the two cameras swivel very well. The dashcam turns itself on and off, in sync with the vehicle engine. (This seems a moot point, but was NOT the case on my previous dashcam, a Papago P3.)
I would really love to give this product 5 stars for its convenience ...
November 24, 2014
I would really love to give this product 5 stars for its convenience and ease of use. It's a great product, it records everything from the time you start your car to your destination. It snaps right onto your existing rear view mirror and took me about 5 minutes to install, which included routing the wiring and making it almost undetectable. But I've found some shortcomings with the video quality in certain circumstances as I will explain below.

Pros:
- Easy setup, each device snapped right onto the rear-view mirrors of our family minivan, SUV, and sedan.
- Comes with an 8 ft cable, easily hide the cable so it's not dangling in your view.
- Loops over old videos when memory card is almost full.
- There is a green light that blinks on the mirror, notifying you when it is recording. This automatically turns on once you start your car and shuts off when you take the keys out of the ignition.
- The device has an internal battery. I haven't tested how long it lasts, but it's nice backup feature.
- 2 cameras, you can easily adjust the range of view. Either a wide front view or both front and back.
- No need to really maintain the device if you aren't tech savvy. Remove the SD card for reviewing footage when something does happen.

Cons:
- White, washed out footage; the auto white balance doesn't seem to work well in bright or sunny conditions. Can't seem to find the settings to change this and would appreciate any help if someone knows how to change these settings.
- Because of the AWB flaw, the video becomes unfocused when it is sunny.
- Smaller details of the car (i.e. license plate, vehicle make/model emblems) are hard to see when it's bright. Even in good conditions (low-light), the license plate of the vehicle directly ahead is blurry.

Overall, I really do love this dash-cam. You can tell from the cons that other than in sunny conditions, the camera records what's going on sufficiently. It is so easy to use and just great to have for peace of mind.

1 year review
September 3, 2017
I purchased this camera a little over a year ago. I think that should be enough time to give it a fair review, especially since I average 30K miles a year in the service van that I have it mounted in. The first thing I didnt like about it right out of the box was the fixed vertical angle on the cameras. To get the cameras oriented so that they could see the road properly, the rearview mirror has to be oriented in such a way that it becomes useless as a rearview mirror to me, the driver. This is most likely because im using it in a Ford E250 van. If the cameras could be orbital, that would truly help make this camera more versatile. The other thing I didnt like is the 90* power plug that connects to the camera. I would have prefered the straight plug which these originally had, but I guess they changed it to be more suiting to the roller skates on wheels cars where the space between the roof & rearview is very tight. The video quality isn't the greatest but for the money its ok. Lastly, I've found that the camera periodically has to be reset and all videos deleted because it "glitches" out and reads no data or wont recognize the sd card. I've bought a new SD card to see if it cures the problem, but it seems to be working for now. When this camera kicks the bucket, I will not be purchasing another.
I hate the natural tint on this mirror!
January 23, 2017
If you don't have a tinted back window like I do, it should be fine. I don't know why, but, this mirror is dark (night mode) which I never used before, even without the tinted back window. The cameras are okay. I wish it turned even further, like 190 degrees. The video quality, if you have an 8mp camera smartphone and attach it to your front windshield and take a 720p video with it, that's how it looks like, even at night. There are much better dash cams out there with better video quality for day/night use for the price this thing costs. However, this one is more inconspicuous. It looks like a rear view mirror.

I'm eventually using this in my Nissan Altima since it has a bigger rear window, so that this rear facing camera would be useful. I'm searching for another type for my 370Z.
Probably good enough for most people, but for me...
March 12, 2016
I bought this product because it seemed to have the best reviews and features for the dual camera non-GPS dash cams. I have never used a dash cam before and bought the 2-year extended warranty to give myself the feeling that I was getting my money's worth. Unfortunately I am returning it because it is defective, but, will probably try a different product.

Product arrived in an undamaged box and turned on right out of the box with good enough default settings. The owners manual is small and the download on the Falcon Zero web site is exactly the same thing. There aren't a whole lotta things to figure out or understand, but, the manual could use a few more things. First, there isn't that standard diagram with arrows and labels pointing to all the different buttons/features/displays. For example, while running the dash cam with the display off, there is a red light and a green light on the mirror, which I am assuming indicate recording and power. But, the manual indicates that the logo lights up when it is in recording mode. It also states to run the menu options when it is not in recording mode, but, I didn't see how to specifically turn on or off the recording mode.

Since things looked to be running correctly, I installed the dash cam and drove off. Everything seemed OK, except maybe toward the end of the 45 minute round trip with the display seemed to be shifting between the camera A, B, and, A+B modes about every second. When I got home I hooked up the dash cam (with the included data cable - nice) to my computer to view the recordings. But, there were no recordings and as I went through the menu options, it displayed the error message "NO CARD". Reading back in the manual I noticed that it said the (included - nice) memory card had to be formatted before it could record. I went to the menu option to format, but, it again displayed the error message "NO CARD". I contacted the manufacturer and they sent me a replacement memory card free of charge. Unfortunately I got the same error messages with the new card.

I like that it has two cameras with each having a 120 degree angle. The power cord seems long enough to snake around the windshield and under the dash, although I did not install it with the included clips. The adapter to plug into your car's cigarette lighter has 3 (nice) USB ports and a light to indicate that it has power coming through it. The (rearview) mirror seems to be the same quality as a factory mirror. Being able to use a 32GB memory card, record audio, and, record approximately 5 hours of video all seem to be features you would want in a dash cam.

But, there are a few things I don't like that brought the review down to 3 stars. It is unreasonable to think that you will never receive a product defective right out of the box. But, I think that dash cams have been around long enough that for $150 it would be nice to believe that the manufacturer tests every single item before it leaves the factory (perhaps even including formatting the memory card) - but I know things still happen. The slot for the memory card seemed a bit weird in that the card/adapter went all of the way in, but, did not "click" like I am used to with digital cameras. Pushing on the card/adapter did not cause it to "click" out, and, it was so far into the dash cam that I had to use needle nose pliers to get it out. Maybe that slot was broken and the reason why the two cards did not work.

Apparently most modern cars have cigarette lighters that power off when the car turns off (but why it seems that most dash cams have a battery and stay powered on for a few more minutes), but, my car is 25 years old. It seems that my car still has power to the cigarette lighter when turned off, and, I noticed when I got into my car the next day, the light on the 3-USB adapter was on. I think this means that the dash cam is still getting power and therefore will continue to record. There is a ON/OFF button on the dash cam, but, I think that is only for the display and not the entire unit itself. So, it needs to be a bit more clear on how to turn off the unit and/or the recording while it is still receiving power. And/or, it would be nice if the 3-USB adapter had a power switch on it. I don't think that having everything on would drain the car battery, but, with the loop recording mode it would basically be recording 24 hours per day.

When I am just sitting in the car and adjusting the cameras, they both "click" as you turn them right and left. Ultimately that is probably a good thing in that if that turning mechanism ever gets worn out, you wouldn't want the cameras turning on their own. But, when lining them up to overlap views in front of the car, they don't seem to line up vertically as well as they should. If I am sitting in front of a building that is about 50 feet away, one camera is about one story higher (approximately 10 feet) when they are displayed side by side. There doesn't seem to be a way to adjust the cameras up and down. This is probably another thing to check in the factory before shipping out the unit.

My last complaint is the main reason why I will probably go with a different dash cam. As you sit and look at the dash cam, the two cameras are mounted on the bottom right side. The buttons under the mirror are located below the mirror, and, to the left of the left camera. So, when you turn the left camera to the left, eventually its view is blocked by the area under the mirror. One of the main reasons I wanted a dash cam is for people running stop signs coming from my left or my right, so, I wanted two cameras that have enough viewing angles to capture both sides. Another minor reason it to have a recording in case someone (a police officer, road rager, carjacker, etc.) walks up to the driver's side door (on the left for us in 'Merica). But, the left camera can't turn enough to do that without getting blocked. So, bad design for those of us who drive on the right side of the road.
The cameras are OK. The UI is awkward. Needs firmware update to be able to save settings or you will go nuts!
November 30, 2015
I got this for my 2008 Mustang GT hoping it would be a cool gadget. I was disappointed at first because of it not saving the settings, which was driving me nuts cause I hated the defaults, but after I went to their website and downloaded the firmware update on their page, it now saves them so I'm happier. You should go download it from here: http://falconzero.com/download.php

UI navigation is awkward, you need to press and hold down buttons to do things, it's not very intuitive. Having to remember what every button does when you press it vs. hold it, plus the functionality changes when you are on the settings menu, idle, recording, viewing, etc... feels like a gadget from the 90's where you had to remember each key combination.

As stated by other reviewers, the mirror is darker than my rear view mirror. It's not a big deal, but then while driving at night, I thought it was darker to help you out with people with bright lights behind you, but that is not the case, so I'm kinda missing my automatic dim feature from my car's stock rear view mirror.

In my car, the default zoom doesn't work that well, the back camera only records the back seat, so I had to set it to 1.4x-1.5x zoom. Would be nice if it would let you do it individually for each camera, and now that settings are being saved, it doesn't save the zoom.
Good design, unnoticeable, easy to use, video & sound are so-so, can be better
April 1, 2015
Pros:
- easy to install (clip-on) if it fits (depends on size & thickness of your original rearview mirror)
- screen available, so can review the footage without a PC/device
- screen turns on automatically when the car is started & will turn off in about a minute or 2 (until you press a button).
- almost unnoticeable
- came with long cables
- 2 cameras recording at the same time
- MicroSD card slot & card included
- photos taking capability if needed
- great idea & decent looking
Cons:
- video not very good (my old one I bought from China is better but that doesn't come with dual camera)
- night vision is not good
- cameras are very light sensitive. the back windshield view becomes blank white even on a cloudy day
- night mode is only for in car purpose
- zoom in/out seems to be not working (at least I cannot adjust it to zoom-in for 1 camera while the other is in its default settings)
- sound recording is not good, unable to identify/hear any dialogues

Non-functional in less than a year.
March 20, 2017
I purchased this Dash Cam less than a year ago. It initially worked well and I had no problems for the first six months other than an occasional glitch where it said there was no SD card in it. Turning it off and back on usually corrected that. Starting around the sixth month mark it started saying "card error". After turning it on and off several times it would usually start working, for about another month. After that I bought a new SD card and it again worked for a few months. Last month it started with the same card error message and nothing would fix it, I tried turning it off then on and even purchased another SD card to no avail.

In less than a year it is completely non-functional and I have to research and buy another dash cam. Although the price of this cam is really good and it functioned well for the first six months, It's obviously not a well manufactured product if it only works properly for 6 months. If you're going to buy this dash cam just know that you're buying what I would consider the "BIC disposable lighter" of dash cams. If you only need it to function properly for a short time then you are in good shape. If you are looking for something to last for the long term I wouldn't waste your money on this product. I cannot recommend this dash cam.
Disappointing Performance
September 25, 2016
Since there are so many paid reviews of these type products, I'm going to report my non-paid review.

Pros:
Nice three port USB plug.
Two cameras.
Decent ease of use on a daily basis.

Cons:

Cheap "Falcon" brand microSD card and adapter (my adapter was defective)
Poor performance in bright sunlight and poorly lit roads.

Note not only did I buy and review this product for my wife's car, but I also bought and reviewed the NuCam A712W for my car. I thought this would be better because of the dual camera feature, and that it would work on my wife's car which does not have a large OEM mirror with built in functions like compass, auto-dimming and garage door opener functions. Upon receipt I did determine it wouldn't work with my car's larger mirror without blocking the garage door functions, but it was also rather large in my wife's car. It obstructed field of view by a fairly significant amount, which is probably something you'd get used to. My wife complained that the extra weight made the mirror vibrate. The mirror doesn't have a dimming function if there is a car behind you with bright lights. I seldom use that function, and turn off the auto-dimming on my OEM mirror, but those who do should consider that.

Turning to setup, the first problem was the supplied adapter for the microSD card was somehow defective. I repeatedly obtained a card error even after re-formatting the card as suggested in the manual. Both were "Falcon" brand parts and not name brand parts. They would work in my computer but not the device. Once I diagnosed that problem, and used a substitute adapter device, I could start the setup process, which was fairly easy. Note though that with both cameras working you're limited to 720p resolution. Also, for the life of me I couldn't figure out how to change the month and day on the clock--only the year and time. As a plus it had more length options for the video files than the NuCam A712W, which only allows up to 5 minute file segments. And this device can be setup all by itself, you don't need a smartphone app like the NuCam A712W.

Once setup it will automatically start and stop recording, like the NuCam A712W. Unfortunately the recordings leave a lot to be desired. The lower resolution is acceptable, but unless you have both cameras pointed forward at complementary angles, the field of view is rather limited. Worse though is that bright sunlight (or headlights at night) can cause a lot of glare and image problems. The NuCam A712W was far superior in this regard, handling varied lighting conditions very well. Also on dimly lit roads the image was rather dark making things difficult to see. Again the NuCam A712W was far superior in this regard. What will say is if you have one camera pointed back the limited quality performance is likely all you need for the rear view video recording. The camera playback on the mirror is so small this would never work as a backup camera, but it would record enough detail to protect you in the event of an accident. Even though the car behind is usually at fault, that could be useful.

I had hoped that this device would provide both front and rear video recording, but as it turned out it just didn't function that well at either (even ignoring the defective part that kept it from functioning initially), although it was probably adequate for rear view recording.
Can't see license plate of car in front of you!
July 7, 2016
Great idea but not very good video quality. It does not appear HD when you review the video so please see the screenshot of the video playback I've attached. You'll see that you can't read the license plate of the car directly in front of you. You can't read the street names either! The rear view camera is useless unless you want to monitor a baby or kids in the back seat. It does a poor job of looking through the back window...most of the time you don't see anything except the sun's glare. Also, the display is dead center of the mirror...who thought of this? It's poor placement. I really wanted to like this item but after just two days of use I had to send it back. It was not as advertised. Be careful of the fake reviews. I gave it two stars because the idea is good but the execution is poor. I would not recommend this product.
Mediocre video but easy setup. Hard on mirror.
June 22, 2016
Easy to install and use, although the sticky clips for routing the power cord fall off after a couple of days in the sun. Unit has trouble with white balance, tending to white-out in bright sunlight. Pointing both cameras forward, it records the entire forward hemisphere or near enough. No point in using one camera forward and one to the rear. The rear-facing camera records the interior of the car very well, but traffic behind you is a white-out blur. Attached video of President Obama's motorcade passing me on the highway near Yosemite.

Update: After a couple of months it ripped the rear-view mirror off the windshield. Whoops. Not such a good outcome.
Revised after one year of ownership
November 23, 2015
Revised review - yes, having a car camera in general is good. However, you can't make out license plates with this camera. It keeps resetting the date and time.

Originally, it was useful. But the seemingly minor flaws make it difficult to fight a ticket or prove anything. For a high quality camera, you should at least be able to make out a license plate in full daylight, but no. This camera is only good for fighting minor tickets. Ie, maintaining lanes, speeding, or running red light tickets.

Possibly a record of who's at fault in an accident as well.

However, if you get sideswiped and the other car runs off, you can't get their plate despite the car being right next to you.

Summary- decent quality for non serious issues. Degrades very quickly with time. Buy something else if you want a camera that works reliably after six months. Or feel it's important to be able to make out a license plate.

Stay Away From Vendor & This Nonfuctional Toy
July 7, 2017
I have received this item with a loose wire wrapping and finger print on the mirror, I plugged it in to power the item did not even turn only a red light goes on and the blue light and the inner mirror screen never went on. I said to myself maybe i have to shove in the memory card, I did but nothing. I have to wait to get charge, nothing. I call that 844 number, in their little book (BTW no instruction what so ever) the number said it’s no longer in service. I went to their site and they ask for email for help, i send an email and nobody replied.

Recap is this seller Pioneer Distribution sell defective items, and do not provide any support service.
As for the product itself all I can say is the mirror itself at night dropped about 35% of the vision compare to normal mirror, that about as much as i could test this lousy dash cam.

Not a fan of this. Several times I have downloaded a video clip from this and it won't play unless I repair the clip using VLC player. What's the point of the video cam if you can't play the clips? Maybe it's the cheap memory card? The auto adjust on the brightness doesn't work on the rear pointed camera. So during the day, the camera adjusts to inside the car brightness and everything outside the car is washed out. There's a battery that is suppose to keep the time and date for the video clips. That died after a month. There is only one setting for the mirror on this. During the day it has a slight tint to it. At night the other car headlights will annoy you because they are too bright. Disappointed in this camera, not sure how it got so many good reviews. I'm thinking most are bogus. The menu buttons are confusing and you will find yourself pushing them repeatedly to get what you want it to do. Getting the memory card out is a pain as well. NOT user friendly
Could be SO much better

It's not very subtle and that I would like as an uber driver. The device is also very bulky and sticks out farther toward the driver because it's so thick, so the camera is very close to my face. The perception in the rearview mirror is very different and almost seems like a toy mirror. When I replayed the video for the first time I was dissapointed to see that that camera only covers half the cabin inside the car. There's no wide angle lens attachment or even a compatability to have one attached later to see the whole inside if the car. I could kind of swivel the cabin facing camera to look more towards the front passenger seat or towards myself but I can only see half of my face when it's pointed towards me; the camera has an early stopping point in its rotation. The front facing camera was great, didn't really have a a problem but again, it would be worth the money to have a wide angle lens attachment, wider swivel rotation and even a capability to rotate the cameras up and down a little like on a free joint.

The night vision was a plus and nobody ever sees the cameras at night so it works like a charm but again its just not wide enough to see the whole cabin which is a huge turn off.

I mentioned earlier that I was dissapointed in the playback but only because I couldn't see everything. It works great on the actual device, you can even hear the sound. But when I take out the card to review footage on my laptop, I can't see the footage but I can hear the audio. Everything's in purple with a silver silhouette around the seats and my body. I tried reviewing the footage on my android which seemed to work but there was no sound! WTF! how am I supposed to review and download footage for future proof of a car crash or a dispute without sycronized audio and video??

My biggest problem is when I left it attached on my mirror over time, the whole thing snapped loudly and flung off my mirror nearly hitting me in the head! This is a huge safety hazard not only because it could hit someone but because I was in the middle of an uber drive with a passenger in the front seat. Not only did it scare the crap out of both of us but It was also extremely embarrassing for me. It could've also caused a car crash! I later found out that the problem was in the attachment design. The rubber grips on the bottom two feet slide off and on the metal interior freely. So they only rely on the vertical pressure to keep it on. There should be a wrap around security around the back side of the mirror that attaches to all four foot grips. Because that's not there, the device slowly slid on the rubber grip until it flew right off. Now I don't use it anymore because everytime this happens (and it's happened several times), I lose both of the bottom rubber grips and I have to find and replace them on the device and put it back on and plug it back in. However the last time it happened I haven't been able to find the loose rubber grip, it must be somewhere between my seats. I can't reattach the device without the rubber grip because the metal interior of the foot will scratch the plastic of my existing rearview mirror. I haven't used it in over a month now because I still can't find the grip. Maybe it got thrown away when I had my car detailed.

Does this sound ridiculous? Good! Don't buy this product
Don't waste your money or time
February 8, 2016
Piece of junk. Don't waste your money or time. It wouldn't accept the SD card it came with at all. I place another brand card in it and it accepted the card and started working. Okay, so we're good now, right? Nope. The camera worked for 1 minute and then the screen saver kicked in and dimmed the video from the mirror and I could never get it to come back. I even powered of the car and the the cam, but I could never get a video image to display again. I have no idea if it was recording or not. I tried to view what was on the SD card when I got home and it was empty.

Aside form the technical issues, the unit is big, bulky, and clumsy. The cameras up/down angle can't be adjusted without angling your mirror either. I have no idea if this would have be okay for me because the video display disappeared so quickly. I assume that it would have been an issue though because my wife and I share the care and we're different and adjust the mirror between drivers.
It has auto off, 2 minutes, 5 minutes ...

It has auto off, 2 minutes, 5 minutes, and some other time. I set it for 2 minutes auto off (should turn off in 2 minutes after turning off your car). It doesn't cut off in 2 minutes, it stays on for about 5 seconds then cuts off.
