Perfect hot day refreshment!
May 30, 2017
This is hands-down my favorite coconut water. It hits the perfect balance of sweetness without being too sugary, and is the perfect ice cold beverage for a hot day. There are two can designs shown in the product images, the ones shipped to me were the American market version with the two cartoon characters on it. (If that sort of thing matters to you.)
Best coconut water on the market!
February 9, 2017
For me, this is the best coconut water on the market. Very consistent, and the taste is well balanced. Much better than all the others I have tried.
Best tasting coconut water I have tried, and also the most natural I have had thus far, too. The 'Lime' flavor is great!!
June 19, 2016
I've gone through a lot of coconut water brands, and these are -- by far -- the best tasting & best FOR YOU I have had thus far.Firstly, the 'lime' really adds a lot; it's my favorite aspect of this. Beyond that, however, this doesn't have any added sugar (which, surprisingly, many brands do)...and is a lot closer to being 'natural' than most brands as well. The only downside is that it is in a can, and hence can't be re-sealed if you want to take it with you somewhere. The quality and taste, however, easily make this a 5-star item...and I am now a monthly Subscribe-and-Save customer of them. :)
Cured my exerciser-induced headaches!
June 30, 2014
I ordered this juice 4 times by now and will order more!It has a great taste and a grate price to quality ratio.I am a very active person and I do a lot of sport activities which make me sweat, this juice rehydrate me instantly!I realized this as I started doing heated yoga (i.e. you exercise for an hour in a 100F room!), where I sweat like a pig! I often would get a headache afterwards and I could not figure out why. I looked online and the best explanation seemed to be dehydration. So I tried drinking a bunch of water during and afterwards, it helped but not all the way.And then one day I was running late and could not find my water bottle so I just grabbed a 2 cans of this juice. I finished one off during the session and the second I downed while driving back home. I did not give this much though until I was in the shower, washing my hair. Usually this is when my head would be most achy. BUT, Alas! I had NO headache what so ever!I repeated this "experiment" a couple of times in a row---no headache! And then switch back to water---headache again! So now I just always take this juice with me to my hot yoga!
YUM!

THIS IS THE BEST QUALITY COCONUT JUICE I HAVE TASTED! THERE ARE OTHERS OUT THERE THOUGH.THIS PARTICULAR JUICE IS FROM YOUNG COCONUTS, A HUGE DIFFERENCE IN FLAVOR, IT'S SWEET.MANY OTHER BRANDS TASTE SOMEWHAT SOUR OR TANGY. ALSO READ THE LABEL THERE IS NO PRESERVATIVE JUST JUICE!EVERY LABEL THAT I'VE READ ON THE MANY OTHER BRANDS OF COCONUT JUICE FOUND IN STANDARD GROCERY STORES HAVE PRESERVATIVES.I HAVE FOUND ONLY THE HEALTH FOODS STORES, WHOLE FOODS AND AMAZON CARRY THIS BRAND SO I PURCHASE BY THE CASE.ALSO WHOLE FOODS GIVES A 10 PERCENT DISCOUNT ON ANYTHING BOUGHT BY THE CASE, THEY ARE ACTUALLY QUITE COMPETITIVE.COCONUT JUICE IS ALSO SLIGHLTY ALKALINE, I HAVE ACTUALLY TESTED IT WITH THE SMALL METER THAT TESTS ACIDIC / ALKALINE LIQUIDS.WHENEVER I'VE BEEN OVERHEATED OR AM JUST REALLY HOT FROM BEING OUTSIDE, I DRINK ABOUT 6-8 OZ AND IT REVIVES ME.SINCE LIVING IN THIS WARM WEATHER, I'VE BOUGHT SEVERAL BOOKS ON THE BENEFITS OF COCONUT, I READ THAT DURING WAR TIMES COCONUT WATER HAS BEEN USED AS BLOOD PLASMA WHEN NEEDED.HAVE NOT VERIFIED THIS INFO FOR MYSELF BUT INTERESTING, NATURE DOES PROVIDE.
Delicious!
April 21, 2011
I was recently introduced to coconut water and really enjoyed it, however it was one of the sugar added brands that only had 80% juice (with pulp). After some searching, I found some pure coconut water (for twice the price as the sugar added one) at a grocery store and was eager to try it only to be let down. It was decent enough, but pretty bland. There weren't other options, so I searched Amazon. Amy and Brian's was a great deal compared to the bland grocery store option and had good reviews so I ordered a case.A couple cans came slightly dented as others have mentioned, but it clearly happened during shipping and did not compromise the product in the least. When I finally opened a can, I was so excited by the amount of pulp in it (a lot!). Even better, they had the same sweetness as the sugar added ones but with a much cleaner taste. They use Thai coconuts, which are naturally sweeter than others. I love the pulp - it's really soft, so you can easily drink without chewing it. I've got a major sweet tooth but I've been working on eating better. A cup of it after dinner or throughout the day provides just enough sweetness to curb my dessert cravings, especially taking the time to chew the pulp. I definately enjoy it more at room temp too.A wonderful side effect I've noticed is it helping with dry mouth! A medication I'm on causes pretty bad dry mouth and this helps much more then those dry mouth mouthwashes. It's rehydration properties are amazing for hangovers too(or preventing/lessening them when drinking a cup before bed).

Very Tasty Natural Coconut Water!
November 6, 2016
I found this natural coconut water to be refreshing and tasty! Not the overly sweet coconut water that you see in the convenience stores. I drank it natural and then if I wanted a sweeter taste I'd add a teaspoon of cane sugar to the bottle and gave it a good shake and that took care of my sweet cravings. This stuff is addictive, because you'll find yourself wanting more! My wife prefers the sweetened variety so I had this all to myself and enjoyed every bottle!
Tastes like it should
July 13, 2016
Tastes great. This is an affordable way to get coconut water. Every time I buy an actual coconut, I crack it open and find it to be spoiled. I've given up on coconuts and only buy Zico coconut water now. I don't know why people complain about the flavor. Maybe people just have different tastes. This flavor is not overly sweet, but I'm glad because I don't want a bunch of added sweeteners.
Wonderful drink
March 25, 2016
This stuff is so good to me, but you have to like coconut water. I use larger portions of it to mix in with diet shakes, and drink this during my day at work. You can squeeze a lime into this, like the song you are likely familiar with too. I keep the bottles and refill them with coconut water because the bottles themselves are wonderful for keeping the liquid fresh during the day.
It didn't disappointment me.
May 27, 2015
Even though I prefer raw coconut taste like the vitacoco, this coconut water tasted little like coconut oil which was not bad at all and I liked the taste. Coconut water is my favorite drinks which does not only provide some beneficial mineral but it also helps you treat jaundice, balance your body stress and also assist body to absorb other food quickly. In my opinion vitacoco and zico are the top 2 product to enjoy greatness of coconut water. Recommended.
It has a good amount of potassium
May 20, 2015
This is the coconut water approved by Consumer Lab as having in it what is supposed to be there. I have been drinking it for over two years. It has a good amount of potassium, so much so that my doctor told me not to take prescribed extra potassium if I was going to drink ZICO. I have a lot of faith in it and in Consumer Labs analysis. Of course, drinking coconut water is an acquired taste. Everyone may not like it. It does come in
different flavors. I only drink the original one, no flavor. Do not confuse it with coconut milk. That is something different.

When I can't purchase locally it is great to receive it via Amazon
August 30, 2017
The best coconut water! I had a botched gall bladder job and left with stomach problems. Oddly, drinking this brand with pulp minimizes my discomfort. No other brand works like this one. My local grocer can't keep it on the shelf.
LOVE THAT IT IS ALL NATURAL
January 29, 2017
LOVE THAT IT IS ALL NATURAL. LITTLE DISAPPOINTED THAT SOME OF THE CANS ARRIVE BENT. I SUSPECT IT WAS SHIPPED THAT WAY SINCE ONLY SOME OF THE CANS ARE BENT BUT THE BOX IS NOT DAMAGED. CONTACTED AMY& BRIAN AND THEY SENT A NEW SHIPMENT OF UNDAMAGED CANS. THANK YOU!
Good product
June 24, 2016
Tastes good. Is a light cinnamon taste that I wish was stronger. Will buy again.
Not perfect but good!
June 17, 2016
This is my favorite coconut water second to the pink harvest one thats far more expensive.I bought 4 batches; one full batch was completely damaged. A few were also too old (the liquid was dark brown...)However, I think overall it's a simple way to get it and it is cheaper than the grocery stores around me.
Great minus the solids
November 7, 2015
I enjoy this juice as it is very tasty and good price for the money. Large cans are plenty full compared to expensive competitors that are no better. The only reason I am not giving full stars is the pulp. I have to filter them out into a separate glass since I tend to choke on the chunks from time to time and I don't think there is a filtered type for amy and brian that is not flavored.
Close enough
September 1, 2014
Taste is better than most - its nowhere close to the real thing but still better than the rest of canned coconut juices.I tried every single brand I could find before deciding what to order on a regular basis. Some of the bigger brands like Naked are actually doing a disservice to coconut juice - that's how poor they taste. But short of finding coconuts and cracking them open, this to me tastes the closest. I drink it regularly - it's a sweet refreshing alternative to the sugary junk that dominate the supermarkets.

I use it as a snack replacement. It fills me up so what the heck.

I like this drink. It has the coconut flavor but it is not overpowering like some other coconut drinks.

I use it as a snack replacement. It fills me up so what the heck.
Pretty good
May 11, 2012
Had come across a number of comments mentioning that the taste isn't the same as it used to be.

I don't know how it tasted previously, but the contents of this packaging are perfectly fine in taste. I found that cooling the contents a bit tasted much better than consuming them at room temperature or chilling them.

Also, the contents contain more sodium than water but, then again, you derive maximum benefit from coconut water if you use it as protection against dehydration or for replenishment, and not as a substitute for regular water. Also, drinks such as Gatorade or Powerade seemed to make me feel more bloated - so far, I have experienced nothing of that sort with Zico. Admittedly, carrying a Powerade bottle to the gym looks much more normal than carrying a Zico coconut water bottle :-)

For what it's worth, my mom-in-law suffers from hyperacidity and has found the Natural variant of ZICO to be a blessing.

I didn't give this 5 stars because I haven't been consuming it for long to know what side effects there might be, and nothing beats real coconut water, right out of a tropical coconut.
Tastes like Yoohoo, no kidding
May 9, 2012
I've been on the search for palatable coconut water for the last month or two and I finally found it in Zico's Dark Chocolate coconut water. Every week, I would drive over to my local Whole Foods, pick up a few boxes of any brands I could find comparable flavors for and I always made sure to buy two or three at once to compare flavors. Nothing ever really stuck taste-wise until I found this and it's absolutely delicious. If you remember drinking Yoohoo as a kid, you'll recognize this taste immediately. I don't know how Zico did it but this tastes identical to that chocolately smooth goodness of my youth but, you know, much healthier. I will say though, it tastes much better cold -- as the bottle says -- but that doesn't mean it's bad when it's warm, it's just better cold, that's all.

I also carry these to the gym and when I run obstacle course races, especially if I'm unsure of what the post-race rehydration drink will be (typically Powerade or Gatorade). I honestly didn't think much to Zico's claims on their site and the bottle that it supports "rapid hydration", whatever that is, but I do know that its huge amounts of potassium have kept me from bonking after a race to maintaining my perk. I typically pound one of these and one to two bananas or Larabars post-race and I've certainly jump started the recovery process better than I ever did with sports drinks or water alone. After I'm done in the gym, I chug some Zico to cool off and wash the taste of electrolyte-flavored water out of my mouth. I can definitely tell a difference in my moods after racing or lifting when I drink some coconut water versus when I'm just drinking water alone.

For me, no brand can touch Zico in the taste department on this one.
Very different taste
October 8, 2011
I ordered this looking at one show on TV which said this product has lot more vitamins and minerals as compared to other brands. I drink a lot of coconut water after exercising. When I tasted it for the first time, the taste of zico was weird; it tastes like plastic mixed with coconut water- but it does not actually have any plastic. It is just that the coconut water has a different taste. It is not sweet and tastes very bland. But after trying out 12 bottles, I found my older brand to be very sweet. My husband likes Zico better so I guess I am going to alternate the subscription between Zico and the other brand.
Delicious
September 25, 2010
I know this coconut water is from concentrate but I still really like the taste. Something about it really appeals to me and I can't quite figure out what, other than perhaps it's not as sweet as some other brands. Regardless of how it compares to the contents of a young coconut, this drink is tasty on its own merits. To be fair, I also get the sense that one might either love it or hate it. It's a shame it's so ridiculously expensive though, because I can chug a bottle in a few seconds.

Coconut Water
April 13, 2017
The Amy & Brian Original Coconut water has a sweet taste that was enjoyable.. I have however ordered a second case of Original Coconut Water, But I received an incorrect delivery of the Amy & Brian LIME flavored by error. I do not like the LIME flavored Amy & Brian Coconut water..
The coconut water tastes great and I have no issue with the product itself
February 17, 2015
The coconut water tastes great and I have no issue with the product itself. The problem is when it arrived 4 of the cans on the outside part of the packaging has the exact same dents in the cans. Originally, I thought it was the way the cans were shaped but once opened, I realized this not to be the case. Some of the cans in the middle row had smaller dents towards the top of the cans. Unfortunately, my son and husband already used two of the cans before I had a chance to respond so since it's opened, I will have to keep them but I have concerns about ordering again due to the way the product came (which I believe had something to do with the shipping process, not necessarily the Amy and Brian Company).
Lime tastes funny, but the cans are a nice size, and I like that they don't have a ton of additives.
February 13, 2015
The lime has a weird taste to it no one in my home likes; I may be able to use them for mixing drinks but not for an every day drink as I intended. I love coconut water, but honestly, this one tastes a little odd to me. I may have just gotten a bad batch; I'll try one without lime and see if that's what it was.The size of the cans are perfect (17.5oz); I love having one big class of cold coconut water in the morning to get me hydrated and ready to deal with the day, these are big enough to leave me feeling satisfied.
It's either really really good or it's a bad batch
October 29, 2013
I tried zico, nirvana and the other brands popping up in chain grocery retailers. Those taste flat and chemically-ish. The Asian and Hispanic brands are super sweet, too sweet to chug after workouts. Amy & Brians is perfect, sweet, natural tasting, fresh tasting, big chunky uniform square bits of white raw crunchy coconut...except when it's not. As a "subscriber" I received too many bad batches and had to cancel this product for good. Bad batches taste flat and sour, not sweet. In bad batches the coconut pieces are smaller, more mashed, not crunchy and not sweet. This inconsistency can make you think you dislike the taste. I had several cases that were so refreshing.
Not my favorite
August 23, 2011
At first I thought I'd like the coconut juice with lime as something different and refreshing, but it grew old for me. I much prefer the regular flavored coconut juice. Now, as for Amy & Brian's products, I do like them. Great flavor. I'm just not a huge fan of the juice with lime.

From Concentrate
May 30, 2014
This, bottled, Coconut Water is from concentrate. I would not have purchased it had I known. I don't care to go through the trouble of returning some things as I had already drank one by the time I noticed. The taste is OK, though not as good as the products that are not from concentrate. I will be more careful in the future when I purchase coconut water and other products online.
This product used to be better!!
December 18, 2012
Earlier in the year we received a few shipments of the Zico coconut water because we loved it! Then suddenly, the chocolate was not available anywhere. I sent an email to the company asking what had happened and no reply. Then a few months later, it is back on the shelves. We were so happy! I got a new bottle and brought it home to compare it to the old bottle. This is not the same product that they first sold. The new product tastes good but the old one was SO much better. My husband and I tasted both and agreed that we liked the old one more. I have one bottle of each and will put the new nutrition facts first/ then the old so you can see how the new one doesn't have as many vitamins and minerals as the old. All in grams or mg.Calories 120/110fat 2/2sodium 140/160Carbs 24/23sugars 20/18protein 1/1vitamin A 0/8calcium 4/6phosphorus 2/7iron 6/13magnesium 10/16potassium 600/680So, as you can see, some of the numbers are close but they did change. The new one is still good but I don't think we will be buying it very often. The old one had more of a chocolate milk taste (less sugar, more taste!) and since I don't drink dairy, I loved it. The new one has a slight aftertaste of coconut water so if you don't mind that, I am sure you will like it.
APO Shipment; Consumed in Afghanistan
November 1, 2012
Purchase/Shipping: Although discounted from regular MSRP, this case of Zico Coconut Water was still about 15-25 percent above local prices of the same product where I reside. Nonetheless, it is one of only a few brands of coconut water that can be shipped to APO addresses. This detail alone prompted me to purchase this product. After purchase, my one case of Zico coconut water arrived at my APO address in eight (8) days after purchase. The item was packaged in a box with appropriate air pillows for extra protection. No damage was found on the shipment upon arrival.Product: This product, in my opinion, is not the best coconut water I have tried. I prefer most brands that contain pure coconut water that contain no additives. Zico is mediocre at best.Zico is made from concentrate with "natural" flavoring added. For those who are not aware, that is a technical term for flavors that are extracted from nature and are altered in a laboratory environment in order to enhance the overall taste of the product. The flavor is continuously altered until the final product is one that stimulates the palate of the targeted consumer and is therefore acceptable. The "natural flavor" that has been added tastes quite different from other competitive brands in the market. The product, in my opinion, has a similar consistency to skim milk and leaves an aftertaste that tends to create the want to consume more. The packaging is made of a sturdy plastic bottle that containes both an external plastic seal and one located at the mouth of the bottle once the lid has been unscrewed. I do prefer Zico's packaging compared to other coconut water brands that are bottled in tetra-paks and aluminum cans. The 14-ounce bottles can take more abuse if carried around during excursions outdoors.Overall, Zico is a mediocre coconut water brand that is neither terrible nor terrific. Since it is one of only a few brands that ship to APO addresses this is what I am forced to consume. However, if you reside somewhere where a variety of the industry's products are available, go with another brand.
Only good if it's offered for a fair price!
July 6, 2012
Zico is a very mild green coconut water that lacks the sweetness of the Vita Coco brand. I mostly drink coconut water for the benefits so the specific taste range is broad for me. I don't like the floating prices on this site because when I purchased it, it was a good deal (especially coupled with free shipping). I've since seen the prices rise to almost double at times PLUS shipping sometimes which is severely unfair. I can find this at the supermarket so if it's not cheap enough here I'm not buying it. Bottom line!
Zico-sis
December 13, 2010
Summary:This Zico is a weak shadow of its former self.Pros: Bottle looks cool?Cons: Price, from concentrate. Taste.In-depth Review:I have been drinking Zico on and off for several years. I thought it was the best of the Vita/ONE/etc varieties. This was back before they were bought by Coca Cola and I was also buying the boxed version.I bought this new bottled version without reading the details and did not realize that this new form was from concentrate. I did not pick up on a 'plastic" taste that other reviewers had. Rather, I just found the taste rather bland and seemingly watered down. Who knew that it was from concentrate, and really was watered down!Something to also consider is whether the recent coconut craze will impact deforestation and local ecologies in developing countries where they come from. It does not seem there are many studies done on this.
Its really nice... BUT!!!!
July 31, 2010
Man!!! I loved the previously available tetra pack ones. For some reason, I am not able to really appreciate the goodness of bottled ZICO which has ADDED FLAVOR now. The tetra packs were really refreshing and tasting real. Being from a south-asia country where freshly chopped coconut water are available, I was really impressed with the tetra packs that was available from ZICO previously. With the added flavor in these, I can feel the artificial flavor when I drink from the bottle now. ZICO has to go back and NOT add the flavor to make it REALLY natural and original. But overall I guess I could give a B+ rating on the product.

The A&B coconut water with pulp tastes terrible. The coconuts used are too ripe and the pulp is bordering on rancid an rotten. Younger, green cocos should be used. Or, the process used to manufacture the one with pulp needs to be re-examined.The Original A&B coconut water (without pulp) is delicious, however. Really very good and tastes almost like Caribbean coconuts

Very good but the price for CC h20 has become ridiculously high in the amounts I enjoy. So I just quit buying it all together. The health magazines seem to agree. That the price doesn't warrant the benefits. I travel to S.E Asia so I know how over priced. The product is decent. Quality alone I rate 5

April 11, 2015
Too acidic for my taste. The lime masks the coconut water flavor. Perhaps in a cocktail it would be better. The plain Amy & Brian Coconut Water is really good with Vanilla Notes.
Pulp makes it taste stale
January 5, 2014
I know my coconut juice and have tried almost every brand out there.Of course the best way is to get the juice is form a young fresh coconut than a can.Amy & Brian is one of the tastiest coconut juices out there but not this one with pulp. Please see my other reviews. This one with the pulp makes the juice taste rancid and nasty.I will not buy this one again.

This one taste like coconut palm sugar added. Not natural taste like the other 17.5oz (tall can). I have been use coconut palm sugar, therefore I recognise it's taste. I thought the same brand and company, product should have the same taste. This is not Amy & Brian Natural Coconut Juice as I was purchased before. I started out with the zico boxes, they were ok but not my favorite brand of coconut water. I saw these had a 40% coupon so i jumped on it. I am very disappointed. This product is from concentrate and it tastes like your drinking out of a brand new (plasticy/rubber) garden hose. I don't think I'm going to drink the rest. It seems toxic to me. Smells funny - I think it's the plastic bottle because I have tried Zico brand before and really like it; however, I had bought the bigger bottle which was in a tetra pak container.
packaging seems good, changes to coconut water formulation not
May 31, 2012
Unfortunate that Zico natural coconut water was reformulated when this bottle was introduced. I like the convenience of the bottle, and find it easy to believe that the bottle is environmentally friendlier than the tetra pak, but the flavor of the coconut water is unpleasant--the kindest characterization I can come up with is "flat". Like other reviewers, I like the flavor of Zico natural coconut water available in the traditional packaging. A look at the nutrition information on the label makes it clear that there is a difference in the two products, though I haven't analyzed the changes. Will not be purchasing any more of this product.
Very Disappointed
January 27, 2012
I based my purchase entirely upon user feedback. It may be the packaging (non-hermetic) that is impacting the taste, but this product was simply bland. I reviewed the ingredients and is is reconstituted. Perhaps coconut looses flavor during the dehydration process. Nonetheless, I will struggle through the remaining 10 bottles and cancel my Amazon subscription for it. Off to the next brand...

The regular coconut water is good but my issue is with order processing. I ordered the coconut with grapes and the first order came with coconut with lime flavor. I asked for a exchange and they let me keep the the box of coconut with lime(not as good as the grape) and sended me a replacement which came with regular unflavored coconut water. Wrong order twice

My wife & I have several friends and family members hooked on the tastes and health benefits. Since Amazon ran out 17.5 Oz cans ordered these 10 Oz...what a mistake, terrible tasting, like cotton candy, sugar water, or bubblegum. Two slips all I could handle, will donate the other 35 cans to local charities, maybe someone will like it.

ZICO Premium Coconut Water, Natural, 14 fl oz (Pack of 12) product description indicates "100% coconut water, not from concentrate." and "Packed at the source in Thailand for optimum, refreshing taste." However, the actual product received is a concentrated blend of coconuts from Indonesia. This alternative product results in a soured coconut water with a strong flavor of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottling; ie, it tastes like the last swig of water from a rediscovered water bottle that rolled under the passenger seat of the car that you left in long term parking in Albuquerque. It is recommended to find a true product that is not from concentrate for a naturally sweet tasting coconut water. I have been very satisfied with the flavor and quality of Wai Koko Coconut Water 100% Pure Coconut Water, 17.5 oz, 12 Piece
Taste like plastic !
March 22, 2016
I am a big fan coconut water. I tried different brand and I saw this one on sale and I decided to give it a try. It tastes horrible and it is not close to even coconut water. Unfortunately I opened one box but I returned the other box right a way. This product is made of concentrate with natural additive. It is not organic either. I recommend you to stay away from it and try other brands (like vita coco which is not from concentrate) or C2O (not from concentrate) which in my opinion has the best and closest to the real coconut water.
From Concentrate don't be fooled

This product is not the same as their paper box product. I decided to buy these bottles because they were bigger than my last order of the 11oz bottles. I didn't think I needed to check ingredients because the last one 100% coconut water. When I started drinking this bottle I realized it didn't taste right. When I look at the bottle it said from concentrate. I am so disappointed but since I already drank two bottles there is no way to return.
Et tu, Zico?

Until recently, I was a subscribe-and-saver of Zico's chocolate coconut water. I loved the rich, dark chocolate flavor. As many other reviewers have mentioned, its taste was reminiscent of Yoohoo and it served as a delicious and effective way to prevent hangovers. A few months ago, I would have given it a 5-star rating, and I was actively recommending it to friends and family without solicitation. Then a shipment came and when I opened the first bottle I noticed a drastic change in the chocolate flavor -- it was far less rich and the drink tasted like it was beginning to spoil. I wrote it off as a defective bottle, but all of the subsequent bottles in that shipment tasted the same. I tried the larger tetra packs, but those had suffered the same fate. A few reviews have mentioned that Zico changed their bottling practices and/or locations at some point. That very well may be the cause, but I noticed another change: the old tried and true Zico chocolate coconut water said "with natural dark chocolate flavor" on the package, but this new package just says "chocolate". Even at the time of this review, the pictures posted for the 33.8 ounce container say "dark chocolate," but that is not what ships. Like Elaine and her sponges, I've gone around to local grocery stores and bought up all of the "dark chocolate" packages I can find, but they are increasingly rare. I fear soon they will all be replaced by the vastly inferior "chocolate" flavor. I don't know whether they intentionally changed the recipe or they're just cutting corners, but either way they have lost a once loyal customer. Why would Zico do this to me? I thought we were pals.
... From Concentrate

Most reviews gave this a decent score, but in reality you should probably stay away from Zico. I've had Vita Coco prior to this. So, what does Zico taste like? Coconut water... and plastic. It's "all natural coconut water from concentrate" which has a odd taste to it. If orange juice from concentrate bothers you, this should too. It taste much sweeter than Vita Coco.On the bottle it says its gluten free and "non-GMO" with the disclaimer, "Zico does not use ingredients that were produced using biotechnology if bio-engineered versions exist." That's a bit odd, but alright. If you're also looking for a "greener" bottle, this isn't it. I think it taste like plastic mostly because the entire bottle is made from an odd plastic that's unlike other bottled drinks. It's almost unbearable with overwhelming plastic. I wrote this review while drinking one, and can't help but cringe at the fact I bought two cases.
I feel hoodwinked

really from concentrate. You've got ot be kidding me. If it's 100% coconut water then why does it list natural flavors. If it's a 100% coconut water then there shouldn't be other natural flavor except coconut water.....question is, what's the natural flavors? There are plenty of brands that are not from concentrate. My money will now go to them
