If you want some really nice kettle-bells - look no further - get these... Plus the price is very reasonable...
June 5, 2017
Excellent product(s) as usual. Have purchased ten kettle bells so far and all have been up to standard high quality. Only very infrequently the package comes in a little mashed (torn up); but contents seems to survive in spite of delivery system. Will definitely buy more from CAP if needed - highly recommended. The solid black units they sell are more than adequate to get the job done. You will especially like the big (oversize) handles - lets you really get a "grip" on things as they say. Get some - they're just plain dandy.
Terrific bargain, great quality, what do you do with it?
January 23, 2016
I was a bit concerned that some reviewers reported receiving damaged kettlebells, but I went ahead and ordered a 25lb bell. It was beautiful...well packaged and undamaged. It was so beautiful, I immediately ordered a 35lb bell. Again, this one arrived undamaged. Amazon clearly has the best price along with free and rapid shipping. If you want a kettlebell, these are a really terrific deal. Five stars for quality to CAP and five stars to Amazon for price and delivery. Now I'm like the little dog who chased cars and one day caught one. What do I do with a kettlebell? I have watched several videos and read several books. All the strange, contorted kettlebell exercises I see are much better performed with the extensive set of dumbells I already have. To gain real strength you need the heavy weights you can put on a barbell. For variety and isolation, dumbbells are great. All the dumbbell exercises I see that have been adapted to kettlebells look really dumb. So what do I do with the kettlebells I bought? I do find the two-handed kettlebell swing useful. This would be more difficult with a dumbbell, and I don't have a T-handle to use weight plates. Besides, I don't like adjustable things. I like to just pick up a weight and go without fear that it might fall apart because I forgot to tighten something. I do find the kettlebell swing convenient. It is surprising how quickly this movement brings up the heart rate...nothing like my treadmill, but a good warmup before conventional weight training.Bottom line: These are excellent kettlebells. I think you cannot do better on quality and price. Before you leap though, think about your goals. If you want to get stronger, kettlebells are more hype and fad than a strength tool. I find that there are a few movements for which I find them useful, and I do not regret having them around. I very much recommend these kettlebells if you want a kettlebell, but I would not recommend kettlebells as a means to get stronger or build muscle. Good luck.

Great kettlebell. Handles are much thicker and narrower (not as comfortable to get both hands in for kettlebell swings). The polished finish is nice as well. And although polished, we don't have a problem with it feeling like it wants to slip out of our hands. We ordered a set in increments of 5#'s from 10-50#'s. A few of our kettlebells arrived defective with the hard coated enamel completely chipped. Most kettlebells arrived in their own individual packaging and others were plainly bubble wrapped and placed in boxes too big for their size, meaning the kettlebell rolled around inside. We experienced chipping in both types of packaging. Amazon has excellent customer service and resolved the issues with the defective kettlebells.
Beautiful!

Really amazing value for the quality...thank you, Amazon! A dollar a pound, this is unheard of at any local retail store, shipping included. The material is solid, smooth, very glossy handsome-looking, and of course very functional. Enjoying this baby very much! 35lbs is an ideal starter weight for someone who's lifted for years and is already in above average shape. It came to me well packaged: the KB was inside a plastic bag and sitting inside the original box (itself comprised of two boxes) plus styrofoam, *and* inside a larger Amazon outside box! Which explains why the KB arrived in pristine condition, zero chipping or scratching of the shiny black enamel coating. Sounds like Amazon has listened to the feedback/complaints of some of the first reviewers of this item concerning packaging.Since this is the lone KB in my home, I am not worried about it getting chipped by contact with other KBs or when using a rack (I don't have one, heh). It's true the handle's smoothness could become slippery if my hands, but that's what chalk and/or gloves are for.
Perfect condition, well-packed, smooth paint, and great handle
August 27, 2014
This is the first CAP kettlebell I've order on Amazon, and I couldn't be happier. The handle is a comfortable thickness and is sized well for both one- and two-handed grabs and pulls. I'm not very tall, but my hands are wide and the handle felt just right. It was packaged well in a double-walled, double-banded box with dense styrofoam wedges to keep it from shifting. Mine had no missing paint, no chips, and no rough spots like some others have reported - just a rust-free, super smooth kettlebell. The paint is very smooth, which I prefer over some of the rough finishes of other brands. And you can't beat the price, especially with Prime shipping! I'll certainly order more of these from Amazon, even if it means that my FedEx driver learns to hate me for it.
Focusing on the handle size -- check my pics:)
April 20, 2012
Update: 5-10-12I'll be leaving my initial review intact, but I'd like to rescind my statement about the smoothness of the handle. As I've become more proficient at proper form I've found that the smoothness helps to facilitate rotation of the bell in my hands when it comes to exercises such as cleans (where at the top of the movement you have to "flip" the bell). And since naturally my grip strength has increased with continued use of the bell, that in itself kind of negates the need for me to wrap the handle. But again, this is just my opinion based on my personal use.My original review is as follows:NOTE:I have the 25-pounder.If you've only done conventional weightlifting exercises for awhile and switch to using this, be prepared to put your ego aside and stick with the lighter bells. I train with weights and thought swinging around a rinky-dink little k-bell would be a cake walk. Not so. You work your muscles in a totally different way with this thing. I won't spend too much time discussing exercises, so let me get to the main point of my review:Since a lot of the reviews focus on the size of the handle on the kettlebell, my accompanying pics will give prospective buyers an idea of what they should expect. No getting around it - I have small hands (no jokes, please). This has a nice thick handle, feels a tad thicker than a standard Olympic barbell, with a smooth finish. I tested it out with some single-handed swings. Single-handed exercises will really tax your forearms. Then I switched to the double-handed swing. That's when I could see where people with bigger hands have been discouraged by this bell. As you can see in the pics, in order for me to get both hands in the bell I have to kind of release the pressure from my pinkies. It's not a problem for me, I just concentrate on maintaining however firm a grip I can manage. As noted, the finish is very smooth. The bell tends to slide within my grasp. I'll just wrap the handle with friction tape. I lucked out and got a VERY reasonably priced, beautiful black bell with no cosmetic defects, but I have no qualms about ruining the aesthetics of it for the sake of safety.Looking forward to completing my first, real kettlebell circuit workout:)

Bought as a first time user thinking 15lbs can't be that crazy. Its pretty crazy, better to have gone with a lighter weight so I wasn't so burnt out so soon into the workout.
I may go for more
May 1, 2017
Easy to hold and I love the coating. This 20 lbs kettlebell is larger than my old 35 lbs that's not coated. But I can see the advantage as it is harder to hold a heavier weight when the handle area is smaller. This one has a larger handle area that it makes the workout much easier without slipping off my hands.
What I expected and then some more
April 18, 2017
The vinyl coating surprised me-- I didn't think it would feel that sleek/great. I'm used to iron kettlebells-- but with this, it feels better to hold, better to grip, and all around feels good to workout with. Pretty cheap in my opinion as well. If you're looking around for a kettlebell, this is a good one to consider. It's not garish, and it's great to hold/move around with. It's smooth enough that I can comfortably grip without gloves (I don't like callouses forming on my hands).
Great price, exactly what I needed.
March 2, 2017
I'm very happy with this. The kettlebell is encased in plastic and filled with sand basically. I'm fine with that, I live at the beach and I've seen some of the metal kettlebells rust in the salt air. It's nice to not have to worry about that. The hand grip on this kettlebell is a little wider than others I've had. Which I like because it's easier to have two hands on the grip if I'm doing something like kettlebell swings. I would recommend.
Kettleball is the best
April 11, 2016
This product is awesome and I need to get another one. I was shocked at how heavy this product is. This is a good addition to my workout routines. You must be very careful because this product can injury you if not use properly. I am very happy with the product it is made of good material an coated very well. I would recommend this product to anyone wishing to incorporate something different into their exercise routines. Good product; skeptical at first and now I am happy I purchase. I will be purchasing from this merchant again.
Value and Quality
April 8, 2016
I almost didn't purchase this KB because of the number of negative reviews, but decided to give a whirl since it was such a good deal. This KB is a bit oversized and it is a vinyl/plastic material that isn't as solid as a cast iron KB. However, my wife is a petite person... 5'2" and maybe 120lbs soaking wet... and she has no trouble whatsoever with this KB. If you're looking for entry level value, this is it. Yes, it also has a slightly larger handle, but studies have shown a larger handle will burn more fat and increase grip strength... a little uncomfortable at first, but it's worth it. Great product!

Happy with the bell, but not the delivery
July 16, 2017
It's difficult to ship a 50-lb kettlebell, I'm sure, and mine arrived on time, but a little beat up. It's a coated kettlebell, and the handle has 2 chips in it--cosmetic, so I'm not worried. As far as performance goes, it's great. The handle is meaty, pushing me to work on grip strength (get your mind out of the gutter), and the weight is good for where I am in my fitness journey.
Great basic hunk of metal
February 4, 2017
I bought this for my husband to have for quick impromptu workouts at home. The prices on amazon are far better than they are in store. I hesitated after reading some of the reviews stating that the handles break, but I figured that those were results of poor welding for that individual item. The only reason I am giving ours a 4 rather than a 5 is because for what they do cost, our coating did have a chip in it (and I expect it to chip more as we continue to use it). I would recommend this for basic home-gym use!
Excellent kettlebells, handle could be bigger tho.
July 12, 2016
Purchased these kettlebells a few months ago and they have been great. They are the claimed weight, a key criteria to sucess. They have a nice rubber coating on them so that you don't rip up your hands using them.Only reason I took off a single star, the loop to hold the kettlebell isn't very wide. I am a slightly shorter than average male and felt that it was barely wide enough for one hand, let alone some two handed exercises.
Great deal on a great bell
May 1, 2014
This was at least $25 cheaper than anything else I could find in a local store, and I got free shipping with Prime. (I think my FedEx guy hates me now, though--the box was deceptively tiny!)This actually turned out to be better quality than the ones at the sporting goods store, because the enameled paint makes the handle smoother than plain cast iron. There were no chips, burrs, or other flaws in mine, and the handle is large enough for two-handed swings and easy handoffs on alternating swings. Outer curves of handle ("ears") are smooth and comfortable in a two-handed grip.My only complaint is one that's common to most bells I've seen: the handle on the heavier weights is a bit thick for my small hands. My 15-pound bell has a much thinner handle than the 25-pound CAP, and I've had to adjust my grip a bit to accommodate on the larger weight. It's not so bad now that I've gotten used to it--now if I have an off day and use the 15-pound for swings, it seems almost flimsy!--but it still feels a bit precarious on stuff like cleans and snatches, where you're allowing the bell to rotate within your grasp rather than holding it firm and moving from your joints. I truly hope the next size up isn't that much thicker! But when I do move up in weight, I'll order another CAP. Very satisfied with the quality and value of this bell.
Sleek, quality, but slightly slippery.
March 28, 2014
One of the better kettlebells I've owned. Sleek design, good weight distribution, and good grip.CAP kettlebell fits well for both two-hand and one-hand exercises. While I do find the vinyl coating a bit slippery when I get sweating it is more comfortable than others I've tried. That slight slipperiness, though, is more comfortable for swings, etc.I like the weight distribution (it doesn't feel lopsided or too bottom heavy). I also appreciate it's slim design (for the weight). It nicely tucks away and I've had not issues with marking. I will definitely go back to CAP for future barbells when my weight requirements change.
As advertised
April 24, 2011
This is my first experience with kettlebells so I have noother such product to compare this one to. It arrived from the shipper right on schedule, with the carton very much the worse for wear but the product undamaged and unblemished. I did a bit of research before I purchased it, and the general recommendation was for a male to start with 35 pounds. I'm middle aged, not in terrible shape, and I lift free weights several times a week-low weights and medium reps-basically a maintenance routine. I got the kettlebell because it is supposed to build stamina and overall strength. I haven't been pushing very hard with it, but I do "feel" an increase in strength, although I haven't attempted to measure it. I have so far stuck to just the swing exercises, and I've found that thirty pounds was probably a good conservative starting weight for me. Fifty seconds of swinging leaves me breathing pretty hard, and I haven't had any issues with my back or knees, which was a concern. The handle is of adequate size for my medium sized hands. I have no complaints about the product or the vendor.

Very Large In Size
August 5, 2017
The photos for this kettlebell are deceiving. For 20lbs it is much larger than a standard 20lb would be. It looks more like a 65lb or higher. The the plastic shell incases the entire weight. Despite it's size, it is easy to grip and has good balance. It just might be a little cumbersome depending on the type of workout you are doing.
Should be fine for most uses
May 1, 2017
All of the weight is in the ball, with none in the handle, and the handle is slippery plastic. This makes is harder to hold upside down in the air for shoulder repair exercises. I wrapped the handle with paper tape and it works. Should be fine for most uses.
Easy to use!
April 11, 2017
I like having this around when I want to be more extreme with my daily warm-up exercises. I'm currently 22 and very small with bad cholesterol through genetics. My doctor said I needed to spend some time working out and I got so used to it that I needed to push myself a little more! I really enjoy having this around. It's the perfect weight for a little person like me and it's easy to use. The texture can bug me a little bit on the top but it's smooth otherwise.
Almost 20lbs
March 31, 2017
Great Kettlebell but I think it's a bit lighter than 20lbs. When I pick up 2 10lb plates compared to this and the plates feel a bit heavier. Also the handle is pretty big so if you have smaller hands I wouldn't recommend it. The kettlebell sits flat on the floor and is a hard plastic like substance. I enjoy the product overall.

May 31, 2016
I got a pair of 20 lb CAP kettlebells. They are made of concrete with a vinyl exterior casing. Concrete requires more material than iron so they are larger. I didn't think this thru and I feel kinda stoopid because they are larger than I expected. All that said; great value. I would buy these again. They are doing wonders for strengthening my core. Some movements are restricted due to the size. It's hard to lift near my head safely. An advantage to the size is that I can easily grip a single with both hands and there is no crowding on the grip. See the attached photo to compare to a tennis ball.
I like it with a catch
December 10, 2015
I like it with a catch. Its a KB, which is good. Its huge (you could fit a 60 lb KB in this size) which is a negative. Its plastic housing is slick and slippery, not for those with small hands or who's palms sweat when exercising. Get something else if that is the case. It is big enough to do 2 handed moves easily though, that should be noted. Price is very good, which is why I tried it. KB workouts are a fad of sorts, which I tend not to prefer, but for traditional exercisers/weightlifters this can add some variety which never hurts. Obviously the other drawback is the fact it is a single weight and not adjustable. Rarely will you get a bunch of movements that allow a 20# in this case to be the perfect weight for all types of moves. If you want versatility over the long term, I suspect you'll want more options (more KBs or weights, sizes, etc.) Still for price and as an alternative exercise option, there are worse ways to go.

its nice looking and very easy on the hands
January 10, 2017
I just got mine yesterday, its nice looking and very easy on the hands. not sure if I like it more then my dumb bells but thats I guess not a quality of this.It came packed good, and I say this because many of the unhappy comments say the coating on it breaks very easy, I did get this feeling while I was lifting it yesterday and I feel if I drop it it might crack ( seems a bit thin ).So if it does become defective in this way I will write a new comment. So far its good, but I'm a bit worried the coating is not good quality. However 10lb is 10lb and I have gloves,
Chipped.
March 13, 2016
There are two factors that are important to know about this kettlebell. The Good:The handle is smooth. This really helps avoid blisters like i've experienced with rougher, more textured kettlebells. You'll get a great workout!Best price on amazon! The bad:It's not solid metal. I dropped mine and the black coating chipped right off on part of the ball. It's still fine, but this is not a genuine metal kettlebell. If this were to chip in the handle it would make the kettlebell totally unusable!
... got this and another 45lb kettle bell for the great price of $1 a pound
February 6, 2016
I got this and another 45lb kettle bell for the great price of $1 a pound. The weight, balance, and handles are good but the coating on the handle is insufficient. When I first got them, I did a few exercises and didn't have a problem. Yesterday I did 50 snatches on each arm and wore the coating right off the handle. It is very rough and not something I want to deal with. I am going to return them now and spend a little more on bells with a better coating.
Clearly used and had a chip out of the black glaze
October 23, 2015
I struggled how to rate this. On one hand it is solid and the 20 lb one I got was perfect. This was clearly used with a shoddily taped back together label on its handle and a chip out of the black glaze. I almost returned but in all reality I just need it for exercise although it does irk me that I paid retail price with the intention of getting a new/pristine kettle bell and instead I got used /subpar product. It would be fine if the price was cheaper. Basically I didn't want to go through the hassle of returning it.
Don't count on them arriving in perfect condition
June 14, 2015
I ordered two of these. Each arrived in its own box: one was in perfect shape; the other box looked as though it had been dropped from the top of a building. The box and the kettleball from the latter package were both pretty banged up, but since the kettleball's value is determined by providing weight while exercising, I just kept it. If, however, you are ordering them for a gift, or for a client to use, be wary.
Not bad until you drop one......
April 29, 2013
Not really sure how you can mess up a big chunk of iron so yeah it's 5 stars. Smooth finish and was shipped well enough to get it here unharmed.Above was my original review when I gave these bells 5 stars. This is my updated review and why I give them 3 stars instead...Well I bought two 35s and one 50 all at different times over the course of a few months (all of them made by Cap). I think these bells are okay, BUT I made the mistake of dropping one of my 35s on concrete and the iron part of the kettlebell is still in one piece luckily. I wasn't aware that the reason these bells have such a smooth surface is due to a Bondo-like white putty that is on the whole bell before it's painted black. The putty blew to bits and sounded like shattering glass when the bell hit the ground. The bell is still usable since I sanded the crap out of it to make it as smooth as possible once again. It's definitely lost it's pretty and somewhat perfect shape though. This will be the bell I used to practice juggling with haha. I do understand that most times you get what you pay for and I can only imagine the build quality of the Dragon Door bells are almost perfect, but I didn't feel it was necessary to pay well over 100 dollars each for the DDs with shipping included. I bought these and they are cheap for a reason. If you're like me (a tight wad) and want a decent and cheap bell I'd say get the bells sold by Yes4All. No putty in those and in my opinion the handles are better.

Too large for me to comfortably use this with my handsize
August 28, 2017
Too large for me to comfortably use this with my handsize, particularly for Russian Haloes. And it is super awkward for presses. It works ok for my husband, but since he's not the kettlebell fanatic in this relationship that's less than ideal. However, it is helping me get him into it.

Very Large, Feels like plastic, Would not recommend
March 7, 2017
Feels like cheap plastic with sand inside and is REALLY LARGE. My son uses it for basketball shooting drills, so it serves the purpose. If you are looking for a kettlebell to work out with, I would not suggest getting this.-0
Worth a shot, fair price and gets the job done. Just order the right weight.
December 1, 2016
I wish I got a heavier set. These are too light and I should have known better. Can I still return them for a 20 pounder? Not bad quality, Fair price, does the trick if you get the right weigh size. (this rating isn't because I ordered a set that's too light. This is based upon my feedback of other brands I have used in the past)

January 25, 2016
Not a big fan. I bought a 5 and 10lb version of this for physical therapy of my shoulder. They seem to be adequate, but I can't give them more than 3 stars for these reasons:1) the grip does not have a textured grip. It's just smooth vinyl. That's silly, because the base has a textured surface. Why didn't they texture the grip?2) the grip has a mold seam running along the top and bottom sides. Not a big problem in weights of this small size, but it makes the grip less comfortable.3) the plastic case seems like it may crack easily with moderate impact.

Nice kettle bell but it has one major flaw, it's poured concrete! It's size is enormous! I can't do bell punches with it and once you get a good sweat going, it always wants to slip out of your hands. Great for squats and other basic exercises, just not designed for extreme belling.

Handle chipped during shipping
July 2, 2017
Product came quickly and was as described, but as soon as I opened the box I noticed that the coating on the handle was chipped, and quite badly. It's obviously a heavy item, and not really worth the trouble to me to return it for this defect. However, I chose this kettlebell because of the coating, so to have large pieces missing before I even used it was disappointing. It doesn't seem to affect use too much, but still, I feel like it's not too much to ask that the product not be damaged.
Handle thickness might be the dealbreaker
June 1, 2017
On the 45 lb bell, the diameter of the handle seems quite a bit larger than standard. Much larger than any dumbbell I've used. The handle thickness and the glossy enamel coating, together, make changing hand position during a move awkward and not smooth. It's ok for swings and rows. But I can't get my risk straight in the rack position or during presses. At this weight, it a recipe for bruised forearms and bad form.
For large hands- 1.5" diameter handle
January 30, 2016
We ordered these for my wife, who has small hands, because they were on special and to give her some size variety. The handle is very thick and the finish is very slick, so much that she has trouble holding on- not good. For comparison, the kettlebell she was using has a handle diameter of 30mm / 1.18 in and a pebbled finish for grip. This CAP kettlebell (in the 20 lb weight- not sure if they vary with size) is a 38mm / 1.5 in. diameter. I have large hands and can comfortably grip these (just), though for a two handed grip I don't think there would be enough width- the opening isn't large. Bottom line, might be OK for someone with large hands that didn't ever get sweaty. Good price, but these might be items better bought in person where you could check the grip and finish.
Arrived damage
January 8, 2016
Arrived chipped - so I would love to give it a higher rating, but I am not returning a 35lb Kettlebell. I am just disappointed. Buyer beware!
Weak protective outer lining?!
September 5, 2014
The reason I dont like this item may be due to the shipping. Some damage occurred to my package while in shipping, upon opening I noticed a large chip in the kettlebell's outer protective lining. The box also had a hole into the side of it exactly where the chip in my kettlebell had occurred. The cracks from the chip, I think will expand around the kettlebell, resulting in limited use of this piece of workout equipment. If the protective lining had been damaged during shipping, then how will it tolerate and last as a piece of equipment used for rigorous exercise (which is what a kettlebell is intended for)? I also feel like the shipping of this item could have been better accomplished.

Seam on handle can cause blisters.
September 15, 2017
I bought the 10 lbs and 20 lbs kettlebell 2 years ago and I realized that compared to the kettlebell brands I had this one is of poorer quality and much bulkier. The handles are very thick, the kettlebells are huge and the design is terrible. The worst part about these kettlebells is the handles. You can feel the seam/joint under the handles and this cuts into your hands as you swing the kettlebell causing potential blisters. Cast iron kettlebells are far superior as you can swing without feeling the plastic/vinyl seam cut into your hands. I just recently ordered a CAP Barbell 10 lbs cast iron kettlebell from amazon for half the price of this one and there is such a huge difference. Though the same weight, the cast iron barbell is half the size, easier to hold and seamless. At the time I bought this, it was cheap and I thought as long as I was getting a kettlebell then that was all that mattered. I didn't realize how a badly designed kettlebell could affect use. The good news is that these kettlebells are now even more expensive than the cast iron ones so you don't have to sacrifice quality for price if you go for a cast iron kettlebell instead of this cement filled one.The pros of this kettlebell are that 2 years later, they are still in good shape and you can use it for most kettlebell exercises though the bulkiness can make some exercises difficult to perform or enjoy. I would advise a potential buyer to look elsewhere for a kettlebell.

I'm not totally disappointed with this item because it was cheap & in this instance you get what u pay. I have lots of experience with kettle bells. With this one it's hard to do exercise that require both hand because the handle it much thicker and wider apart.. so it gives it a feeling of being bulkier & harder to grasp comfortably during holding proper form in a technique

Handle too slick. Too big overall for the weight. Didn't realize how much larger it would be than the equivalent cast iron one.

I have another 15lb kettle bell I purchased a few years ago for the same price and much prefer over this model. The CAP bell is twice as large - likely because they use concrete instead of more dense material for the weight. The grip is too wide for my taste and slippery. I had to wrap it in grip tape. I would not purchase from this brand again.

Cheap in price and quality but gets the done. I wish I would've read the reviews before purchasing. It's not thoughtfully designed. There is a seam on the handle that is pretty bothersome. I will wrap black tape around the handle to help smooth it out making it more comfortable. It's very large in comparison to other kettle all's of this size. I would return but it's as much to return as it was to buy. Only keeping for that reason. All in all it does do the job but I wouldn't buy again.
Meh ... flimsy
April 7, 2015
Bought one of these for general resistance training. I didn't think I'd care about the design of something so simple, but I'm not pleased with it:1) the surface is a fairly thin hard plastic, and does not grip well. It is hard, not like the vinyl coatings seen elsewhere.2) The shape of the handle makes it hard to grasp at some angles, particularly sideways.3) The seams are large and you can feel them when grasping. They are probably the weak point, most likely to fail if you were dropped it a lot.4) It's big: much larger than I expected. So, not reccomended. I think I'll replace it with a solid iron, vinyl coated version.

Horrible product.
April 11, 2017
The Kettlebell was damaged/chipped upon arrival from the handle area. I had seen and read numerous posts in reference to this and thought that it would not happen to me. Well, I thought wrong. Very unsatisfied. I will add photos tomorrow.

March 6, 2016
As others have experienced, the outer coating flaked off just after the 30 day mark. The hole is approximately 2"x2". I would not be too upset if it was just a single chip, but it looks like the surrounding coating is not bonded either and more will come off with a small knock. The hole in the coating does leave sharp edges. I would not buy this again.
Not happy
January 30, 2016
I own three of these of different weights, the paint / epoxy finish is inconsistent on all of them; to the 15lb that I got yesterday was missing any kind of paint/color primer on one spot and was not covered well across all of the rest of it. It's going to leave a rusty mess on anything that I set it on.
Wont sit flat, wobbles
January 28, 2016
I dont know what happened with the 10 LB CAP kettlebell, but its uneven on the bottom and wont sit flat. I just sent the first one back and just received the replacement, which is even worse than the first one! I have an entire set of these by CAP and the other size weights are fine. I would like to have the second replacement, replaced, but I dont know if it would be worth the effort if they are all casted from the same mold.
35 lb is poorly made
September 9, 2015
Granted it was of not a manufacturing defect and was caused by human error, the kettlebell is poorly made. I was under the assumption that this would be a solid cast iron with enamel coating. The 35 lb kettlebell has a coating of bondo to give the kettlebell a shape. The bondo will chip off in the event something is dropped on it and make the kettlebell an expensive doorstop.Out of the box, the kettlebell has a rough finish with an uneven bottom that causes kettlebell to not sit flat.
Awful quality either on packaging or delivery
June 23, 2015
Hard to imagine I could give a kettlebell a 1-star rating but when the package arrived on my porch it looked like UPS dropped it from an airplane. When I opened the package there were chunks missing from the coating of the barbell. I'm not talking chips, I mean chunks. The largest chunk was approximately 2 inches long by 1.5 inches wide. The barbell was new (at least it still had a tag on the handle).I went through the online return procedure but the only option was for me to return it for a replacement but I need a printer to print out a label.

Learn from my mistake and spend $10 more for a better one

Way too big for what 20 lbs should be. Makes swings and other exercises awkward. Super plasticy and the handle is quite thick - too think for my hands really. Does not feel like a traditional kettle bell. First one I received, the handle seam split mid exercise, which scared the crap out of me, causing me to drop it. From there the whole thing fell apart. Amazon's excellent customer service shipped me a new one immediately, but i would never buy again.

It looks cool, I wish I had it to rate it
I would not recommend it if you are an active crossfitter
April 13, 2017
This kettlebell is difficult to do deep squats with and hard to do kettlebell swings as it has no grip, it is hard plastic. I would not recommend it if you are an active crossfitter. I was not able to get my money back as my return window expired so now it is just sitting there.
Doesn't feel like 10 lbs
January 12, 2016
It doesn't feel like a regular kettle-bell. I wanted one that wasn't cast iron for home use because at crossfit I've started to develop callouses where my palm and fingers meet. I wanted one with a smoother top, so I chose this. I didn't expect it to feel like a toy. It's 10 lbs, but it feels like 2 lbs. I had to weigh it to make sure it was actually 10 lbs. It's useless, I would return it but that would be too much of a hassle. I'm going to buy a cast iron kettle-bell.
in the middle they dig into your skin and feels like it will cut the skin
October 21, 2015
The shape is too big. There is a design flaw here, when you grip them, in the middle they dig into your skin and feels like it will cut the skin, and it's very uncomfortable. The plastic mold shouldn't have the seam in the middle/top, it should have been in the bottom or smaller. Furthermore, the handle is way too big, i have big hands and it's still not a comfortable grip. The weight distribution is not ideal, i'm not an expert so I don't know, but the Kettebell at the gym, has a much better feel to it.They were cheap and I bought them, would not recommend it to anyone, unless the goal is to get the cheapest one and use them.thank you.
Do not buy this kettlebell. It is poorly constructed ...
July 7, 2015
Do not buy this kettlebell. It is poorly constructed and actually fairly dangerous. Most kettlebells have a little bit of grip to the handle. This one is not only smooth plastic and slippery but it also has a sharp plastic edge along the inside that cuts your hand as you use it. Unfortunately, I have missed the return window so I am stuck with just throwing it out. It is too unsafe to use.
