This is the best shampoo I have found for my dogs. I've been using it for a couple years now and won't use anything else. Being that I live in So.California, it gets quite hot here in the summer and my dogs suffer from dry skin during those months, well they did until I started using this shampoo, no more dry skin for them. They are black dogs and you can see how shiny and healthy their coats are from AvoDerm. I highly recommend this shampoo and conditioner.

I have been using this on my two little dogs for several years now. Prior to trying it, they were getting dry skin in the summer and I didn't like the smell of most dog shampoos. This smells great and they have had zero dry skin problems!

I have always used a top of the line dog products, but on the advice of a show ring trainer, I decided to try this shanpoo on my Cavalier. My dog's hair has never had the shine or softness that it does now. Great product

My boston terrier has allergies and has a very sensitive skin. She has always been a challenging dog to take care of since she was just a tiny puppy, but we've finally figured things out for her. This is one of the products we will be sticking to and swear by. We've been using this shampoo since she was only a few months old. We've tried a lot of dog shampoos before then and we tried one more shampoo after. Nothing works and the only thing that does is AvoDerm Natural Oatmeal. All the other shampoos made my dog very itchy and she looked like she had dry skin. She also had rashes on her belly and she was shedding badly. After switching to this shampoo, she immediately looked better. Her coat was shinier, softer, and it smelled so much better compared to other dog shampoos. She didn't had a "wet dog" smell at all.It also helped that we switched her to a healthy dog food. But I find that this shampoo makes a huge difference in her skin care. It's a weird thing, but I believe this product helps her skin and fur to be "hydrated" or "moisturized" if that makes any sense. Her coat just looks like it has a healthy/natural shine and it's very soft to the touch. When people pet my dog, they gush about how soft her fur is. I think her diet of healthy dog food (it has omega 3) and together with this shampoo, she just looks her best. No rashes. No itching. No shedding. Great product, highly recommended!

This doggy shampoo works wonderfully! It helps to keep my 3 toy poodle boys' fur super soft and shiny as well as smelling amazing! This is a really great product - I have never found a better shampoo for my boys! My boys are my life and I only want what is the ABSOLUTE BEST for them - this shampoo is one thing that is the BEST! Also.. my oldest poodle, Bosco, has had skin irritations/allergies his entire life.. THEY ARE GONE NOW!!! Bosco has stopped itching/scratching and no longer has to take meds from the vet! WHOOOO HOOOOO! *smile* HE is a HAPPY boy!

High quality kibble that has really helped with my 2 1/2 yo little girl's skin problems, itching and her sub-luxating patella as well. I've added 3/4 Cup of raw meat/organ meats/organic raw greens and carrot or sweet potato to her regimen in the evening (23# dog), and she is in good shape with this regimen, with less shedding, too. I give her a Cosequin daily as well, but she's much better with the patella since switching to the joint formula. SOOoo expensive, though, but it seems to be helping her a lot.

My puppy really likes this food. I like the ease of having it delivered to my door. I tried a few of the different dry foods in smaller bags to see which one my puppy preferred (and was considered healthy) and this one won. I feel very comfortable giving her something that is rated highly for nutrition and no fillers. Regardless of what some say, I mix this with a little canned food to give my puppy some variety rather than the same old thing day in and day out. She will also eat it dry, so it must taste good to her. Believe me, if she didn't like it, she wouldn't eat it.

This is a highly rated puppy food that my puppy actually likes. She was weaned by her breeder on a less expensive, less nutritious but better tasting brand that I didn't feel was giving her what she needed as a growing puppy. She didn't seem to care for some of the other brands I tried so I finally decided to pay a little extra and get her one that comes highly rated, which seems to be a hit.

I don't buy this brand on a regular basis. Despite its high nutritional content, I simply can't afford it for my pack! But when the price dips a bit here on Amazon (or my local feed store has it on sale), I get a large bag. My dogs have enjoyed all the flavors. The kibble is on the small size and a dark brown. Very crunchy. What I like is that this is perhaps one of the few kibble they will eat while on the road or at the camp site. I'm not sure why...perhaps because they don't get stomach cramps eating this?The large bag is only 24 pounds, which is manageable for me in a van with two large dogs. I just have to hide the bag safely and once opened, have a secure bin to keep it in.

This is the absolute best dog food you can buy. My dog has had many, many health problems throughout his life and this food has made a significant different in his skin and coat as a result! As a puppy he had demodex (mange) and had little to no hair. We started him on the AvoDerm puppy food and his hair grew back in thick and soft. We switched to this formula as he aged and he has never eaten anything else. No stomach upset ever, the only problems we have is him eating it too quickly. Now he was diagnosed with an immune disorder which also affects his skin and causes him to break out in lesions throughout his body. AvoDerm really seems to help in keeping the rest of his coat healthy and soft. I have also worked for years as a vet tech and this is the only food we recommend to our patients. I cannot speak highly enough of this company! If your dog has skin problems, or doesn't have skin problems, AvoDerm can help giving them the softest, shiniest coat!

Sally has lost three pounds! This is awesome food. I changed nothing else in Sally's diet, and in three months, she has trimmed down beautifully. She has two homemade pumpkin treats a day, and I admit to a tiny table delight when she looks at me with those eyes. She loves AVODERM and walks around the house happily crunching on it (an ancestral trick that some dogs do to be able to "eat safely without the rest of the pack taking the food away." Dogs are so brilliant.) I love seeing that back half of her all angled and trim like it should be and knowing that her organs are no longer stressed from being over-weight. She has to live forever, you know!

I like the scent and my dog is as happy as he can be while getting a bath with this soap. However, I wish the scent was longer lasting. The groomers recommended I use a soap with tea tree oil rather than oatmeal for my dog, because he has skin issues and allergies. So, I think I will get a different shampoo next time.

I bought this for my pets and I loved it. The cats did great with it and it didn't irritate their eyes or stomachs like others have. Plus they smelled great for weeks!

Love this shampoo. It cleans well and smells great for days after using. I have used this product for my mini poodle for 1 1/2 years with great results and here on Amazon I was able to buy for $4 less a bottle than my local pet store

I don't like that the ingredients aren't listed on here. I feel like they're doing it to make a product that really isn't all natural look natural, and it's an issue if you or your pet have allergies. You can't figure out if you'll be able to use it or not.Strong, but nice smell.Good for dirty and oily coats, as this will really strip oil and dirt. Leaves coats soft, but pretty dry.3 stars if used alone, leaves no shine, because it strips so much oil. 4 stars if used with a conditioner.

I wanted something with avocado in it for my two terriers. They have completely opposite types of coats, but the conditioner and shampoo work equally well for both dogs. Smells nice as well.

One has to wet the animal before massaging in the shampoo. Other shampoos I have used could be suds up first and applied, then rinsed off. The difference is, my cat feels wetter sooner with AvoDerm. She gets ready to call it quits sooner. I know to have warm water containers ready to use before she notices how soaked to the bone she is. This shampoo makes her fur smell wonderful for days afterward.

We have a 5 year old Great Dane with a thin coat and thin skin. I also cook for her but need a back up when there isn't time for that. Her coat seems to be better with the Avoderm than other brands. She's not crazy about the taste - wants something added - but that just might be her protest of it not being homemade.

This is expensive kibble but one of the few brands my oldest GSD will eat. She normally will stay away from dry food and beg for raw meats instead. The kibble is on the medium round side and a dark brown. This is fortified with Omega 3 and 6 Fatty acids. All five of my dogs enjoy this. None gets sick off of this. I've bought this a few times already and always look for it on sale. It's got a lot of peas and beans as filler and I'd prefer to see more chicken in this recipe for the price this is selling, but as long as my dogs are happy with this kibble, I will buy it from time to time.

My dogs seem to like this, we have a bulldog puppy and a small mix dog. To be fair, my dogs will eat anything but raw mushrooms, pickles and jalapenos. I did notice that they have pretty stinky gas, but one of them is a bulldog so I think it would be unfair to blame the food there. My little dog did not have as much gas as he does now on this food. We switched to this when our bulldog puppy had a bad reaction from the food that was recommended by the breeder, a lot of diarreah and bloody stools. Their coats seem healthy and they dont stink so I think this must have good ingredients in it.

In a nutshell, this food seems to provide very good nutrition at a fair price compared to other premium feeds. The pooch's coat shines and is soft and outside trips seem to be consistent and have not increased/decreased in volume significantly.My one and only complaint would be the size of the kibble. My dog has a tendency to swallow without chewing; as such, the smaller kibble of this particular brand may keep me from going this direction again. That or, I'll continue to mix this with a larger kibble size to almost force mastication - versus swallowing it down and, often times, heaving it back up within an hour only to find that it's not been chewed.The size is similar to 2/3 of a US penny which, for my 40# pooch, is swallowable without chewing.

My dog is allergic to almost all major ingredients in almost all dog food. I feed him RAW food but it's getting kind of expensive. He doesn't like eating chicken. Which is the cheapest of all RAW food. He is highly allergic to beef, turkey, duck, egg, wheat, soy, barley, sweet potato, and his list goes on =( So its very hard to find a dog food that has nothing he is allergic too. Have tried so many brands it's unbelievable. Because even if one item is on the very bottom of the list he would break out everywhere for days. his nose turn pink etc. I feed him raw food which he loves and has no problem at all but we travel & sometimes its very hard to have raw meat with you. So it's just a bit easier if he ate kibbles. His poop is solid hard with Avoderm Salmon Grain Free. His coat is shiner & soft. The only thing I don't like about this is that Peas is the 1st ingredients on the list. Also tomato pomace is a controversial ingredient most people say its a by-product remaining after processing tomatoes into juice, soup and ketchup.But so far my dog is very happy eating this and he can't wait until it's time for him to eat.But I will keep looking for something better which is really hard unless I make my own dog food which I don't have time for =(

I bought this after my vet recommended an oatmeal shampoo for my dogs itchy, irritated skin. As almost everyone has said, it does have a great smell. Light, but not overwhelming. It leaves her fur soft and shiny. Itching seems to have reduced but not to the point where I would buy again.

When I read reviews about products I used to scoff at people who said that the smell of a product got to them or something. That said this shampoo is wildly OVERpowering in its' scent. It stayed on my cat for days after and if I had another scent free shampoo to bathe him with I would have done so right away to get the smell off. It IS a good shampoo, nice lather, rinses well, conditioned his coat and soothed his dry skin, but I will never buy this again unless they make it in a unscented version. Just wanted to warn those with sensitive noses.

Was hoping to see some shine to my dogs fur. The product isn't bad. It would leave her fur soft. Perhaps with few more washes she will gain that shine.

I can only say it's OK because my picky Siberian will pick at it.

Idk = I don't know what happened but my 2 dogs got sick threw up and later got diarrhea! Lots of clean up work for me. Now I got 2 dogs one poodle and one German Shepard.Maybe this supernatural special vegan avocado formula cause them both to get sick.So sad. 😣😦😳😓😭😝

I wanted to give this a try for my dogs but they didn't like it at all. Its very tiny kibbles and smelled good which are a plus too bad my dogs didn't want it.

I use to use AvoDerm Lamb and Brown rice, My girl was allergic to everything and would have horrable issues this worked well.Untill, I just bought to bags and now find that there is chicken fat in it. Cayenne is allergic to chicken, had I known the changes that weremade I doubt if I would have ever bought it, and I fear giving it to her.Hunting for a new one, Vet bills are getting a bit taxing.

My dog, Zorak will be 10 yrs old in a month. He is definitely a senior, but he looks like a puppy. I read something about making sure to feed your senior dog food for seniors, because older dogs need more fiber, etc. We switched, but his coat grew dull so I switched him back to Avoderm Red Meat and Potatoes. He has eaten that for years. It keeps him looking and acting like the picture of health.

This is good food, but it gave my 2 eight month-old schnoodles stinky farts and soft stools. Maybe it was too rich for them? I had to switch them to a different food. Also, even though it's puppy food, the kibble was too large for my smallest 12 lb pup.

Not a great shampoo. The smell doesn't last & a couple days after giving my baby a bath, she smells like she needs another one & she's never been a stinky dog prior to this shampoo.

If I was rating this product strictly on how good my dog's fur smells after using it or how soft their coats are...I'd give it a 5-star review. But because it says "natural" on the product, which is why I bought it...and then it doesn't list an ingredient list on it I'm dropping it to a 3-star product. I called the company to ask what the ingredients were and the rep I spoke with said she couldn't answer that question because they were proprietary. She said she didn't even have access to the ingredients. But then she said if I had a specific ingredient I was concerned about she could answer whether it contained that ingredient or not. After I hung up I thought how could she tell me what wasn't in there if she didn't have access to the ingredients. I left my number with her for someone who could talk to me about ingredients.I think when you buy a product, you have the right to know what is in it, especially when it makes claims of being natural. If they have nothing to hide in their product, why not list ingredients?*Update* I'm dropping this to a 2-star review. Someone from the company returned my call and said that it "contains products that are not natural". And when I said but the bottle says natural on it, she said "It says natural but it doesn't say all natural" Well according to that logic, almost all products could say natural on them if they included some natural ingredients. When people see "natural" on a product, most assume it's all natural and I think companies rely on that assumption when they pull moves like putting "Natural" on a product even when they know it's not All Natural. I'd drop it to a 1-star, but I'll keep at a 2 for them being honest about it when they returned my call.The not-natural ingredients that she listed to me so I could look up were Sodium laureth sulfate, propylene glycol, and yellow 6.

Where is the ingredient statement on this product? I'd like to know if sulfates or silicone (or silicone type ingredients) are in this product. I have used it but I prefer to use other products that state what is in it. The description "natural" these days is meaningless.

While this product came highly recommended due to its ingredients I found that it was too salty. My dogs went through more water than ever before. I spoke with my vet and was told too much salt is harmful. Hopefully in the future this can be resolved by the manufacturer.

I have two large dogs - a Saint Bernard and a Great Dane - that have never been hungrier than they've been since starting on this food a week and a half ago! I can't stand it! They are beginning to look at me as though I might be their next tasty morsel. My GD has never, ever counter surfed, has suddenly learned not only how to do that, but to open the bottom cabinet where the garbage can is kept. He has vomitted up napkins from there twice this week, along with houseplant leaves that until now we're never bothered. I don't care there is half a bag of food left-actually that is perfect! I'm off to my local pet store to buy a different brand to feed them PRONTO!

I'm not saying this food is necessarily bad, it's rumored to be good quality, but after a few different tries, my dog has all kinds of digestive issues from it, even after a couple weeks and also mixing it with her old food. I won't be buying it again.

A bust so far. Cut this 50/50 with my 10 year lab mix's regular dry food and boy did the blood run in the poopey! Then I tried 25/75. A little better. Took him off it entirely and now he is back to normal. This stuff must be like Colon Blow! Beware!

I'm so disappointed. My dog has itchy skin and is prone to extreme dandruff. I bought this in hopes of clearing that up. The skin looks a little better, but I can't wait for full effects - as my dog has liquid stool. He has had consistent liquid stool for the past week, plus some really bad gas. I really wanted this to work out for him - especially due to his skin issues - but I can't bear to see him have diarrhea any longer.

The food did not work well for my dogs digestive system. Her coat was great! She could have allergies to one or more of the meats used? May try another blend at some point.

I wrote to the manufacturer, who claims the product is all natural, asking for a list of ingredients which, strangely, is not on the package. They REFUSED to provide the list. I would not purchase this for me, my family or my pets.

Well, here is the deal with this product, I used this on one of my cats, and it was fine, and did what it said, it cleaned the fur without too much dryness. The next cat I bathed, my longhaired cat, did not fair well. Within 24 hours, he was losing his hair by the literal handfuls, and has bald patches all over from the intense itching. After almost $100 at the vet, and I had to rebathe him in a cortisone shampoo, he is still losing his hair, and I expect he will probably be bald by the next 2 or 3 weeks. Very upset, since this is a cat that rarely sheds a hair. Now I run my hand down his back, and come away with a handful of his beautiful hair. I called the company to report, and they could not even say "I'm sorry!" The very least they could do since my cat is obviously suffering. I feel horrible that even bathed him. He is 2, and this was his first bath. Wish I could give this shampoo and -5 rating!!!!!

I have a pure breed Yorkshire Terrier I bought the Shampoo and conditionner for my dog.Yes it was easy to brush his air but the after my dog started immediately to get dandruff.They say its natural but it's full of chemical !!!Avoid if you have a small sensitive dog THIS IS NOT FOR YOU.

So as other customers have said, there are no ingredients listed on the bottle. I will never buy this product again. I am not impressed by the claims, I just want to know what ingredients are in this product. Why is this a secret? Isn't there supposed to be a law of some kind?

This product is supposed to be good for dogs skin and coat. My dogs had an almost immediate reaction to it, broke out in red, itchy, hot spots and chewed so much they would bleed. Stopped giving it to them when they first started having a reaction but it took about a month on other food for the itching and irritation to stop. Poor doggies, I will never buy this product again and I cannot recommend it for anyone.

My German shepherd would not eat. But, she is picky

My beloved Pitbull developed a skin rash that lead to a skin infection after eating this food for 6 weeks. $400 later at the Vet he is feeling much better. I wouldn't suggest this food to any pet owner.

My dog became ill after eating this dog food and vomited everywhere she also broke out in an allergic reaction so I'm switching back to Nutro natural didn't Like this dog food or its consistency at all

Trying to transition them but one actually uses his nose to move the food around in his bowl in order to pick out the pieces of his "old" food and leave this sitting in the bowl. I guess I'll donate it to a rescue or the local shelter. Bummer :(
