Solid Kettlebell
September 5, 2017
These kettlebells are very well put together. The finish is nice, it's got enough grip that it doesn't slip from my hands when they get sweaty but not too much that it's uncomfortable or rough on my hands. I prefer this finish to the epoxy finish that I've tried previously as the epoxy finish has a few drawbacks. The first being that when the finish is still intact it can get slippery when I get sweaty. The second is that over time as the finish wears or chips off it gets uncomfortable and less desirable to use. It's also nice that the CAP kettlebells are color coordinated as it makes it easy to identify the weight that I'm looking for.
Very good quality kettlebell
August 27, 2017
I bought this (25lbs) after using Rogue kettlebells at my gym. The 25lbs Rogue kettlebell was more expensive when shipping was factored in. The CAP kettlebell is comparable to the Rogue kettlebell. The handle is smooth and wide enough to fit both of my hands. The coating on it seems to be very durable and it has held up great so far. I am happy with it and don't regret getting this one instead of the Rogue.
Great quality
March 27, 2016
I'll start by saying this is the very first kettlebell I've ever owned - and it's fantastic! I'm a beginner to KB workouts and fairly out of shape. To start, I ordered the 13 pounder and it's perfect for this stay at home mom looking to get back into fitness. It's just the right weight without being too light or too heavy - great for a beginner in my opinion.

Before purchasing I did some research on kettlebells and chose this brand and style for a reason. For a cheaper price I could get something with a vinyl coating but due to reviews, opted for the cast iron for better grip. I tend to sweat a lot and I didn't want to lose my grip and send a 13 pound cannonball flying across the room or onto my foot. The grip on this one is perfect and I've had zero issues with sweat or slippage.

I've been training with this weight about a week now and I'm about ready to up my weight, and I will definitely be purchasing this brand and style again.
the powder coating is great for a good grip without slipping
November 9, 2015
I bought the 4 kg (18 lbs) and the 12 kg (26 lbs). Solid cast, no ridges, the powder coating is great for a good grip without slipping, and the bottom is machined to rest solidly on the floor without wobbling. Shipping took 3-4 days (one came sooner than predicted which was nice). The handles are nice and even, and large enough for 2-handed swings. Great product for the price.
Not the absolute best kettlebell out there, but an excellent value nonetheless.
August 15, 2015
I started using kettlebells 5 months ago to rehab a shoulder injury, and I've finally outgrown my beginner 35lb and stepped up to this one in 44lb. My beginner KB was purchased locally at a big box retail store, and it got the job done but is noticeably inferior to this one. This CAP KB has a better, more durable finish and a superior shape. My old KB has a raised edge around the cast-in number that sometimes would dig uncomfortably into my forearm, whereas this KB is nicely rounded and much more comfortable. I also appreciate the nicely shaped and wide handle on this one, as I have large hands and in a two handed grip I need more handle than my old KB had. Overall it's not as nicely finished as the Dragon Door or other more expensive KBs out there, but a nice step up from the cheap ones.

Pros:
Good grip shape and size for larger hands.
Durable finish with a just right, not-too-slick feel.
Comfortable shape.
Very reasonable price with shipping included.

Cons:
Slight excessive roughness and bits of flashing on the handle that I took care of with a little filing and sanding.

Edit at 9 Months: I now have two of these in 44lb and a 53lb. The finish on the 44lb is chipped in a few spots from banging them together, but other than that they look new. The 2nd 44lb and the 53lb have perfect handles that required no smoothing, so I'm quite happy with these and still consider them to be the best value around for quality you get.

I love this. First time you can give a package to someone and tell them it's a bowling ball. lol This was a my bday gift to myself, so I don't have to use the dirty ones at the gym. The mailman was concerned about me being able to carry it. lol
Great price and good quality

This is the second size I've ordered from this company. Very happy with this product. Thick vinyl coating protects floors and is comfortable to hold. Sits nice and flat, little to no rocking for stability with floor exercises. Handle is nice to grip. It's smooth, but not slippery.
My body says Yes, I like these.
January 30, 2017
My first Kettlebell. I purchased One 8lb. It arrived. I thought it would be cool for added daily exercise: to begin with One.Nope, for a beginner, I think the key is balance. I went and ordered a 2nd 8lb.I now have a pair. Two Orange 8lb Kettlebells. My not understanding their size, once received, I was shocked. I thought they would be bigger. It was my perception, I guess, being a weight of 8lbs. It's cool. I am able to manipulate them, holding themin different ways, firmly. I am using them during set workout time, and randomly through the day.I totally dig these, they are a welcome added to my daily routines.I have no experience with free weights, nor kettlebells. I have two 3lb each hand held weights, I use daily. These I use while Rebounding. They are more so for me to have something to hold, vs creating resistance.I stumbled on the Kettlebells viewing free weights, I then watched videos on Kettlebell workouts.Sold. I am good with the 8lbs. I can bear both *16lbs at the same time.. I FEEL THEM.I feel them in my core, my thighs, my upper body, my upper arms of course, good pain allowsyou to know you're alive.I won't be Juggling them together anytime soon.I am HAPPY, these bring challenge, it's a good thing. No worry of marring your floor. The exterior bottom is seamless, rubber vinyl dipped, covered. The top/handle is matte dimpled rugged black coated Iron. Use your nugget, don't apply lotion on hands and then lift. They are what they are, made for their intended use: safety first ;) Two pics. You to see them side by side. And 2nd pic, you to see as standard size coffee mug, next to, for size comparison. All is Gewd.
Great quality and color. Love the rubber enclosure!
March 14, 2016
After much research, I decided to go with the SPRI brand kettlebell and am glad I did. I like the rubber texture on the bottom so that it doesn't scratch or do so much floor damaged when set on the floor. I color is also bright and easy to remember which one to grab during HIIT Strength training. It's also well-made. I will be investing in more of this brand for the full set!

Exactly as described and a great weight. I am just starting out with using weights, this is a perfect beginner for someone weak like me :) . I would say a 12 may have been a better choice, but am happy with the 10. Sturdy, easy to use as the handle is rounded perfectly. Will definitely buy more of same brand.
Smooth, Comfortable, Cute!
December 2, 2015
The first kettlebell I ordered had a big crack in the rubber. I don't know if the crack would have gotten bigger or affected it's use, but I was able to easily ship it back and get a new one. I love how smooth and compact this brand is. And cute! The handle is smooth, comfortable, and easy on the hands although I still recommend some light workout gloves (some brands with plastic handles can have a line of sharp plastic hurts your hands). I like how the bell is smaller so that I can do halos and not hit my ponytail or knock myself out as easy as other brands. I am new to kettlebells and a female with smaller hands. This 12lb kettlebell works great for me and will continue to buy this brand as I buy heavier kettlebells!

Good kettlebell at a good price
September 12, 2017
Very good kettlebell at a great price. My only complaint is it's a bit rough-a slightly smoother finish might have been better. Overall a great deal though. I use it regularly.
There are other comparable bells out there but these are great for the price
September 2, 2016
I have 2 of the 35 lb bells. There are other comparable bells out there but these are great for the price. I use my 2 35's for long cycle and racked squats. The reason for 4 stars is the powder coat is a little weak but decent overall. My only other complaint is the finish is also a bit coarse which has caused some issues with caloused hands. I train with bells at least 4-6 per week. When snatching they can be a bit rough on your hands. When these are $40 shipped they are a fantastic deal!!!

Bells are weighted as advertised within 1%. I weighed them on my bathroom scale.

Handle is a good size for me. As others have said, it is a little rough, but not horrible.
Great Kettlebell
May 4, 2016
The handle is a bit rougher then the ones I'm typically use at the gym (rogue). Hoping some chalk will help with this. However, I love the way it's built, the handle is shaped nicely. Overall I think it will be a good bell to use at home.
A good value as far at kettlebells go
January 11, 2016
A good value as far at kettlebells go. The handle came a bit rough with a few peaks & valleys, but if you are serious about your kettlebells you'll be grinding & sanding your handles anyway, so it's not that big of a deal. Got mine nice and smooth after about 15min of grinding & sanding & my hands are fine. I bought this to stash at my girlfriends place & it's been fine. Now if I could only stop being lazy & actually use it!

Kettle ball as advertised great quantityVery useful
Dinged up but good enough.
February 6, 2016
Mine came a little dinged up, but it works and since it's a weight it doesn't matter that much. I like the feel of the coating and the price was a little lower than other brands. There are some rough spots under the handle which is my biggest complaint. I liked it enough to order a second one though -- I have the 18 lb., and just ordered the 30 lb. . . . I am hoping that one comes in better condition, otherwise I will update/edit this review (one not seeming new okay, but not two).
Good quality.

Good quality, grip is nice and doesn't hurt my hands and size is just good for a small person (I'm 5.3 and 120 lb)
Great kettlebell for heavy lifters
January 11, 2015
Great weight for those who have lifted kettlebells before. I am a beginner, so it's kind of heavy for me. Will be working with lighter kettlebells till I get to the heavier weights. Kettlebell is definitely a great product.
What i needed
February 8, 2014
Soft rubber outside, easy to handle and does not bruise the arm if you are doing snatches. However, it does not have the grove and fit perfectly around your arm/wrist

Depends on the current price
August 29, 2017
This is a a review of the 20kg/44lb kb. It's a great value at $44 and I came back to buy a second one but the price had gone up. It is not a good value at the current price of $82. Minus one star for the price hike (Amazon's price algorithm may have brought it back down by the time you read this.)

The handle texture is a little rougher than Rep Fitness or Kettlebell Kings. It's almost a crinkle coat rather than a powder coat. It's fine for swings and presses, but a little rough for snatches. I'll probably knock the edges of the crinkle coat with some fine sandpaper. Minus one star for the coating.

At $82 I'd buy a Rep Fitness instead. At $44 I'd buy this one.
Product Received Damaged
October 8, 2016
This review is particularly in reference to how the product was received. One side of the handle had the black paint worn off exposing the cast iron underneath (and what looks like rust). I am concerned that the kettlebell will wear prematurely as a result. The packaging arrived undamaged, so it seems likely that it was shipped this way.
Good but definitely a poor Rogue knockoff
June 3, 2016
I needed an extra 16kg kettlebell. I decided to try a 16kg bell from CAP based on reciews I had read stating that the bell was as good as the Rogue brand bells. They were about the same price (Rogue actually was 4 dollars cheaper however you'd have to pay for shipping). First off, the CAP is a Good bell. Better than other cheaper brands (like anything you'd find in your local fitness store). However a blatant copy of the Rogue standard bells. I have pairs of Rogue bells from 16kg to 40kg and there is really no comparison between the CAP bell and the Rogue bells. The CAP bell while decently finished has inferior powder coating and a slight seam under the handle. All of my Rogue bells are flawless. In conclusion. Decent bell for most. However, for about the same money as Rogue you can't help but feel cheated.
com but they don't have free shipping like Amazon & these obviously weigh a bit

decent kettle bells but a bit pricey for a piece of steel. Would have bought the cooler ones from Onnit.com but they don't have free shipping like Amazon & these obviously weigh a bit.

Cracking
September 26, 2017
I purchased this a few months ago and I noticed recently the vinyl has begun to crack.
So I sent it back and ordered straight-up cast iron kettlebells that will slide more easily against my skin
January 25, 2017
The vinyl coating pinched my skin when I held the kettlebell over my wrist or on my shoulder (i.e. for overhead presses and offloaded squats). The vinyl coating stuck against my skin instead of sliding around slightly to adjust to the movement of my arm. So I sent it back and ordered straight-up cast iron kettlebells that will slide more easily against my skin.
For one handed use only?
July 18, 2016
I hate to knock this product too much, because it is what it claims to be, and seems to be of good quality. However, I returned mine because the handle wasn't wide enough for both of my hands and was a little too fat for my small hands to grasp very tightly, which are two major no-go's for me. I use these (like I assume most Amazon buyers will) in my home, specifically, in my living room. While I will admit that I don't have the most expensive decor and electronics, what I do have I don't want an errant swing to destroy, and this felt like an accident waiting to happen.I've attached pictures showing the difference between the 10lb GoFit brand bell that I am replacing and the 12lb bell from SPRI. You can see the width difference, and hopefully tell that there is a difference in the circumference of the handle as well.
wear a globes or you'll be sorry.
February 21, 2016
looks good, but there's some sharp edges on the handle. who's doing the quality control on this products. you need to do your job.
Nice they offer 8-pound size, but handle is too narrow
January 14, 2015
Bought the 8-pound one. I was very disappointed to find the handle width is not sufficient for me. I am an average guy with average-sized hands, but I cannot comfortably get all four fingers around the handle without them being uncomfortably pinched. I am giving it three stars since it will be mostly used by my wife and it is hard to find 8-pounders from other manufacturers. For more standard sizes, I would definitely go with the Fitness Solutions Hammertone kettlebells. Those are solid iron and even the 5-pounder has a big enough handle for anybody's hands.
This would have been perfect. But the handle is not wide enough
January 3, 2015
This would have been perfect. But the handle is not wide enough, especially for two-hand grip workouts such as kettlebell swings. I have fairly small hands and those with larger hands might want to use a different brand.

If you have little bitty hands these are great, if you don't, keep looking.
December 1, 2016
The handle width, from side to side is to small. I can barely three fingers inside the opening, my pinkies are outside the handle. I'm not a giant, just 6'2" and 220lbs It's really a shame because the build quality is excellent, the finish is nice its a quality product with a design flaw.
The 70lb kettle bells at my gym have larger handles, so I know it's a CAP Brand issue.

Gets the job done but scratchy/sharp handle - ouch!
March 12, 2015
I have a few kettlebells from various companies but happened to like the color of this one (and was due for an upgrade as far as weight goes) so I ordered this one. I used it for the first time the other day and was disappointed to realize that the handle is extremely jagged and sharp. The underside is not smooth at all and kept snagging at my skin. I understand that these are made of heavy, solid materials but I had to put gloves on to complete my workout. Maybe I just got a 'bad' one because I read other reviews that they were fine. Sending back is too much of a hassle but I wanted to let the company and other people know. I wish someone had inspected it before they sent it out. Thanks!
Very Strong Odor
December 17, 2014
The Kettlebell itself is quite nice - my problem is the overwhelmingly strong odor it emits. It's so bad that I had to leave it outside. It stunk up my entire workout room and I can still smell it even outdoors on our patio. Is this odor toxic? This is something I would handle almost everyday with my sweaty hands and it also remains in contact with my forearms.Does anyone else have this issue? Will probably return and look for a bell that's made in USA. Any additional input would be greatly appreciated. It's now been almost 2 weeks and this ball still stinks.

September 22, 2014
This was advertised as having a wider opening for simultaneous use with both hands. This isn't so. My hands are not large by any stretch therefore the comfort level of this kettlebell could be vastly improved on. I have other "bells" that are far more roomy and comfortable. SPRI products are usually good but other than the correct weight, it doesn't measure up. Would return it but the return shipping charge is ridiculous.
vinyl cover has a chemical smell to it
February 24, 2014
The kettlebell is nice and smooth, and pretty too, but I couldn't stand the chemical smell while working out with it,even after letting it air out a few weeks. I returned it and ordered a kettlebell without vinyl, and am much happier.
Not the best.
March 18, 2013
It's probably best that you wear gloves with this particular kettle glove because the grip area is certainly going to cause some blisters otherwise.

Very damaged. Not good
February 6, 2016
I just received my kettle bell. It is very damaged. The handle is completely chipped and scuffed the bell part is scuffed up as well. The paint coating around the handle is very bumpy and scuffed. I don't usually leave bad reviews but this is ridiculous looks like it's been used for 20 years. Very dissappinted
very disappointed.
August 18, 2015
I'm not a welder, but even I know that when one joins two halves of molded cast iron, there can be a seam, which if not sanded down can SLICE A FINGER WIDE OPEN which is precisely what happened to me as I took the kettlebell out of its packaging. So now I have a 1-cm slice on the index finger of my dominant hand, and as I am a physician this will severely impair me for the rest of the week. I am very, very disappointed.
Handle too small
May 6, 2015
The handle on this 15lbs. kettlebell is too small. I don't have big hands, but I can't get this bell to rest properly in the rack position. Its small handle size also makes two handed moves problematic (my pinkies what to be outside the grip). Just not good.

just terrible i ordered the 25 pound and it looked like it was used with major scratches and major damages. Save your money to get the Dragon Door kettle bell as it will look and last much longer.
Bummed
May 12, 2014
I bought 2 -25 SPRI kettle bells to use with the Iron Core Kettlebell DVD. The first one came without damage. The second one looks like some one tried to skip rocks across macadam. Both of the boxes this bell was packed in were damaged. I won't be purchasing them on line anymore. Too much money for damaged goods.
