Amazing product. We never expected to have to try ...
January 22, 2017
Amazing product. We never expected to have to try this out on the car so soon, as we have a new Subaru, but somehow the doors did not get shut completely one night, & with cold winter temperatures in the low teens, the battery suffered badly. Come Morning, the lifebox got it's first trial, & it started the car instantly! I originally got it because we have a diesel pickup, which can be a real challenge to charge with 2 batteries, but I had noticed a review where the owner said it worked so well for his diesel truck, that I thought it would be a good choice amongst all the other brands. Now, I am thinking that I will order extras for each vehicle because NOTHING is more frustrating than to be away from home, possibly in a wilderness area & suddenly find your battery is dead. I would love to have had one in L.A. when I was driving my friend's classic 68 Mercury Cougar & it died on me in the rain while shopping. Having to call Triple A is not only expensive, but requires a wait till they can get to you, which in a city is a frustration!
A Lifesaver!
January 12, 2017
Having this in my vehicle with me has become a necessity.I love it! I initially made sure it was charged which it was. After being in the truck for over 2 months it started a V8 which had a dead battery. I was going to re-charge it but it indicates a full charge yet. I highly recommend.
out of the box it was good for 3 car jumps and a phone charge
October 24, 2016
Had to use it yesterday without instructions and without charging it (straight out of box) it fired up the car in a pinch. used it 3x since unboxing for car boost after listening to radio too long plus one phone charge before it flashed low battery, so giving its first charge now.
Nice product.
July 20, 2016
This thing really works as a jump starter. Used it one time to start a pickup that has been sitting and the battery was low, so this thing really did give it a boost. Nice product.
Used it for the first time to jump my motorcycle ...
January 15, 2015
Used it for the first time to jump my motorcycle. Worked swell. Hard to imagine something so small working on a car--can't wait to try it. Seems to hold its own charge very well also.
MUST HAVE!!
December 24, 2014
This thing is awesome! I've jumped my car 5× now &the power level still shows full power. It starts right up too without hesitation. I wont leave home without it. I bought 2 more as Xmas presents for family members as well.

Jump to it!
October 31, 2017
I have used the restart function twice and it has worked flawlessly. Aired up a low tire on my lawn mower on two occasions as well as used the usb port to charge my cell phone. all worked great! The unit is a little larger than my old black & decker I replaced but it did not have the compressor inside. overall I am pleased. The only con would be the cumber sum air line connection that screws onto an air stem. This would be very difficult at roadside service during an emergency. A snap on fitting would be so much better.
A MUST for drivers of any age. Saves time and money!
May 28, 2017
This thing has been a lifesaver. It's a small price to pay to avoid calling a tow truck or roadside service if you end up just needing a jump or a tire inflated so you can get somewhere to fix things! I absolutely recommend everyone have one in their vehicle!
Good to go
February 22, 2017
Just connected to dead group 86 battery. Turned knob to on. Turned key on car. Immediate start. Just what it is supposed to do.
It's easy to move around and store
February 3, 2017
We've had to use this twice so far. It was able to jump our diesel truck on a cold morning without any issues. It's easy to move around and store. Connecting this to the battery is very easy. I haven't tried the other features at this time.
Great investment for piece of mind
November 4, 2016
Went on a month long vacation and knew I was having battery problems so I ordered this to arrive a day before I got home. Sure enough my car battery was dead. Plugged this in, gave it about 15 minutes and connect to my car (following the enclosed directions) and my car started right up. What I really like is its size and weight. I put it in my trunk and it is nice to have just in case. Haven't tried the compressor yet but the battery jumper works great.
Saved me a bunch of times
November 21, 2015
This thing saved my ass when my alternator was on the fritz. I was able to get at least 5 jumps out of it on a charge. At one point I had to leave it connected to my car while I drove to a safe place to get my car out of the road because it couldn't function on its own power, and it kept my car running for the few hundred feet I had to drive it into a garage.I used it camping and it charged cell phones very nicely, the light is great too. On one of those trips my tire was really low, I pulled in to a gas station and found the pump nozzle tip was broken. I remembered I had this in my trunk and even though I hadn't charged it in a while it pumped up my tire really well. The PSI gauge on it read different than my trusty glovebox one, pretty sure it might have been a bit off but that's minor.Overall this thing is great, it's nice knowing I have it in my trunk and has served as a useful tool many times. My dad loved it too, he bought one and it served him well also thus far.

Compact
March 27, 2017
I like its compactness. had to use it once and it worked however the power light does not stay on so wasnt sure if it was on. Had to have somebody holding down the power button while I started the car. Could have been my fault though in that I wasn't operating the device properly
BEST PRESENT EVER FOR ANYONE THAT DRIVES A CAR - Not sure about seller consistency
December 24, 2015
I recently reordered 2 more of these and they came in a different box with an iPhone 4 charge cable instead of what I got previously which were (4 units) iPhone 6 charge cables. Seller says there is only one product and one set of cables. Not sure how I got 4 of these units previously with iPhone 6 charge cables then? Now they shipped with iPhone 4 cables. See the pic that they post and what I really received. Seems someone is dumping outdated inventory if ya ask me but......I had a dead battery due to leaving the overhead light on in my car and needed to be at the airport that morning. I used this to jump start my car. I was a non believer until I used it. My car turned over on the first try. Nice to have that independence especially when you are in a situation that doesn't conveniently warrant a tow service or another person with a car to save you. I bought 4 of these as Christmas presents last year and 2 more this year. Best present ever...for anyone that has a car.
Work better than I though it would
December 2, 2015
It started my dead truck batt. Work better than I though it would.
So far so good!
September 29, 2015
I've had this for a month and have used it primarily to charge my mobile devices vs. starting any vehicles, but I'm pretty happy. It takes a couple of hours to charge, but the charge lasts a long time. I bought it to take with me on motorcycle trips since my bike has a funny habit of not starting on occasion and needs jumped. This will help make my trips more pleasant. I'll update this once I actually use it to jump start something. My only other issue is that it did not come with a carrying case. I knew this when I bought it so it was no surprise, but It would be convenient to have something else other than the box to store it in when I take it with me.

great item except for air compressor.
August 19, 2017
worked great for about a year then the air compressor stopped filling tires. Not sure what's going on. Motor runs gauge tells you how much air is in tire but it will not increase pressure to desired amount. Jumps autos and charges electronics great but compressor doesn't fill anymore. Plus, only used the compressor a half dozen times. Disappointed about that.
Old car life support
May 4, 2016
Necessary w an old car. As long as I check it regularly and keep it charged, it pays for itself. Smart tip: put it on a piece of cardboard vs directly on a concrete floor, it will last longer.
Good Product but Short Jumper Cables and No Wall Charge Cable Included
April 26, 2016
Love the product. Don't like that it doesn't come with a charge cord; I needed this product ASAP (car parked in a garage at work against the wall with a big slope; impossible to jump with standard cables and can't safely move the car) but I didn't have an extension cord when it got here so I couldn't charge/use it. Good thing I have Amazon Prime Now in my area so that I could get an appropriate extension cable delivered within a few hours. Jumper cables are a bit on the short side.
Well made, very good value, with a few minor niggles about warranty and product description.
March 30, 2016
The unit itself works well. Couple of niggles, however which detracts from its value - -at least to me. The warranty registration is a "mission to nowhere" -- quickly. A tiny Post Card, with questions/comments in both English and Spanish. Impossible to fit anything in on the space provided, and also (don't laugh- - this is true!), you're told to attach a copy of the original sales slip - -to a Post Card? Then you have to find the UPC code on the box, and on and on and on. I finally got it done- - and put it in a number 10 envelope, mailing it, and keeping copies of everything. The Post Card says that you don't need to file it as it will not void your warranty, but friends- - file it - -and make copies of absolutely every single item (including the Post Card). Doesn't look like you can even register online - -Post Card or nothing. Happily for me a number of Amazon.com customers answered my question about the charging port -- whether the unit's charging connection was "male" or "female." Thank you all who took the time to answer my question - -it helped. This type of very basic and NEEDED info should have been included in the product description. Outside of that- - and the fact that the Stanley name at least for this product is sold through an LLC called "Bacchus" (Baco Raton, Florida- - unit made in China) - -some name- - I was looking for a litre of very fine wine with the unit -- no such luck. On the plus side-- unit is well built, and packaged very well and safely. Good instruction manual. And the price is right. I had an older unit which I bought at Sears some years ago - -far more expensive and far heavier than this new one. Bottom line: I'm satisfied and hope I never have to use it.
Great product
December 8, 2015
Came without charging cord, but amazon's customer service took care of that. Even without the charging cord, had enough juice to jump my work van that was dead. I already had the smaller version of this with the 350/700 cranking amps. Wanted this one because I need it to jump bigger v8 engines. The smaller one says it does V8, but didn't for me. Also the smaller on I lost the charging cord. The charging cord for this one can be a regular extension cord where the other had a special charger that is almost $40 with shipping to get.Used to charge my cell phone in a pinch. Was greatOnly suggestion is they need to have a place to store the charging cords built into these. Awesome product otherwise.PS. You need to make sure to charge once a month as stated. Especially in winter. If it sits in your car unused and not tended to, it will not work when the time comes.
Does the job
February 3, 2014
I will add a little blurb prior to the actual review because Amazon has pulled this item and it is "under review" at this time. I too had the problem with it arriving broken. The only thing broken was the plastic housing. It is not packed well for such a heavy item. It was placed in a box that is too large and a minimal amount of brown paper in with it. I received this item on a Friday and immediately went through the return process. On the following Monday, UPS showed up with the call tag for the broken item and my replacement item. I point this out for two reasons, many of the negative reviews are solely because the item arrived broken and most complain about not being able to return it. Also, IMO the way it is packed and shipped is the reason it is "under review" not the product itself. As for the item itself, it has done the job so far. I have used it to jump my my 2007 Nissan Altima(4cyl) with a completely dead battery. I also used it to add air to all 4 of my tires pretty quickly. This was done at seperate times without a recharge in between. After that I recharged the unit which still gave 2 out of 3 lights for its charge. However, when I plugged it in it only showed 1 light. The manufacturer states it should be charged every 30 days or after each use. Having to charge it every 30 days without use seems to me to be a little much. The price is on the low end for similar items.

So I got this a few months ago and so far it's working as it should be. The only drawback that I did not like about this product it's that it did not come with its rechargeable wall extension unit. Meaning I could not recharge it when the battery was dead. I had to order a extension wall unit so I can recharge the battery once again. All in all it's a great product so I would say by at your own discretion
it had some broken plastic on it and the body was cracked though the device seemed to function fine..
July 25, 2016
Ordered one, it had some broken plastic on it and the body was cracked though the device seemed to function fine...called Amazon and they sent me another one for free and it is even more messed up with the handle being bent at a about a 15 degree angle, this one also appears to function fine but it concerns me what sort of internal damage there may be.
Not reliable
February 24, 2016
First thing that I did with this item was to fully charge it. I then put it into the back of my wife's car. about a week later I needed to jump start another car so I got to try it. Unfortunately, when I went to use it, it was already dead. I charged it overnight and it worked fine, but the next day it was at half charged again. I was given this as a gift, so it was already to late to return it. It's too bad that the jump starter is less reliable than the batteries in our cars.
Check that this is right for you before buying
January 27, 2016
Seems to perform as advertised. But as stated in the manual, this will need to be recharged about every month or so or else the battery will go empty and get ruined. You should also note that this does not support trickle charging, so you will need to unplug it when it's done charging to avoid overcharging. This is kind of a hassle, but not that big of a deal. On the other hand, other brands seem to provide trickle charging support. I should also mention that the cables could be longer. These are something like 3-4' long.A lot of the negative reviews seem to indicate that this failed to successfully jump a car. Depending on your car, the amps needed to turn the starter over may vary. This should have no problem starting a car with just a low battery or smaller engines (say 4 cylinders), but if the battery is dead or the health of the battery is a problem, then you may fail to start your car.To see if this has enough amps, check on any auto parts store website to see the amp rating for replacement batteries for your vehicle. As an example, let's compare a I4 and V6 2007 Honda Accord. I'm using O'Reilly Auto for battery comparisons.I4: Cranking Amps range from 555 - 615. This jump starter should have no problems.V6: Cranking Amps range from 665 - 910. It is unlikely that this jump starter can start the car on a dead/dying battery. If you want to play it safe, make sure there's a safety margin between what the jump starter promises and what your battery is rated for. While it might seem somewhat expensive to step up to a higher rated jump starter (say 1000 or 1700 amps), you'll easily make back the difference the first time your car dies and no one is around to help.
Well Built but needs monthly attention
November 5, 2013
This is a good power pack and feels well-built and sturdy. The compressor works like any small unit you would get for $15 at Walmart. I'm a little concerned the internal battery may be old or soft. I charged it on receipt for 24 hours and stuck it in the truck. After a month, the battery was showing low (when I pressed the test button). Granted, the instructions say to charge it monthly, but with my experience a sealed lead-acid battery (like the one contained in this unit) should not completely discharge in 30 days... more like 90-120 days. So, we'll see how long this thing lasts. I just want to be sure that my backup battery isn't dead when I really need to count on it on a cold winter night!
quality of product, and customer care
July 17, 2013
This is the second time around for this product. The first jump starter by this co. was a disaster. It would not hold a charge, and after a use that should have been minimal discharge it would be too dead to do anything else. I contacted customer care and they essentially told me that I did not know how to use the product. Since I did not know that what I was doing with it was not something that Customer Care understood, I gave up since it was past the 90 day return time I decided to see what was wrong with the unit. What I did not note earlier was there were cracks in the outer case of the unit. When I got inside I found that there was a chunk broke out of the case of the installed battery. Now to be clear I had not ever dropped this unit so I know the damage was not caused by myself. I do believe that Stanley builds good tools and decided after checking out what the cost of a replacement battery is that it was just as well that I purchase a new unit and keep the old one for repairs. So far the new unit is holding the charge and I have not used it for major starting of cars or charging model airplane batteries I do believe that the problem with the first unit was the broken battery.

Melted on the Second Jump
January 6, 2016
I used this while camping over the summer to charge my phone, and it worked well. However, the one time I tried using it to jump my car, it was not so successful. It did *barely* manage to jump the car, but seeing as you can't leave it attached for more than 30 seconds, it wasn't a solid jump. I left the car running for about 10 minutes after disconnecting the box, shut off the car and tried to restart. Nope. I checked to make sure the jumper box wasn't warm and was still fully charged and reattached it again exactly as the instructions state, which is to attach the cables to the battery and THEN attach the jumper cables to the box. This is actually difficult to do because the cable is very short and it's a tight fit for the blue plug. My suspicion is that I couldn't get it snug enough quick enough on the second jump, because as soon as the blue plug touched the port on the box, the box suddenly *popped* open and fizzed. I immediately removed it from the battery and placed it far away, as it gave off that chemical odor. Needless to say, my car is still dead, this thing is toast, and I'm not thrilled. Thankfully, the car was parked in my garage at home. I guess had I tried jumping it somewhere else, I would have had enough of a jump to get going, but it's not so great if you only get one try before risking meltdown. One thing that would probably help is if there was a way of keeping the power from surging until the jumper cables are fully connected to the box, as the power button on the box does not function in this way. If i end up getting a replacement (not finding any contact information for the company on the warranty card), I will likely next time keep the jumper cables attached to the box before connecting the cables and just try to attach as delicately as possibly. I suspect I might get zapped.

output stated is completely misleading, read this review to find out how
October 6, 2017
I am revising this review from 3 starts to 2 because ALL the information about it's power capabilities on Amazon and on the front in the picture are A BALDFACED LIE according to the finely printed specs on the back of it which say "350 amps instantaneous" and "225 Amps continuous for 5 seconds", which means the "700 amp" claim is totally without merit and the "350" dubious because it cannot be used to start a car. Note that the Stanley 1000 amp one MAY be 350 real amps (who knows until you buy it and read the back, right) but it costs twice as much and does not provide twice the power as this one. You'd probably be better off getting two of these instead and connecting them both to your battery at once, if possible. I just WISH AMAZON WOULD REQUIRE it's sellers to PROVIDE TRUTHFUL, USEFUL specs. The product info amazon provides usually HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE PERFORMANCE OF THE PRODCUT, which is definitely NOT "consumer-centric"my original review:keep this product charged up to full or it won't start your car when battery is very low, probably won't even start car unless battery is only slightly low. It's good for starting lawn mores motorcycles and other small electric start 12 volt engines.. good cordless portable for inflating tires. Using USB ports run this product down surprisingly fast. inexplicably has covered other weather covered ports, but USB ports are not covered. battery power display leaves a lot to be desired.but then this is very inexpensive and worth the money. Just don't expect it perform like the amp rating suggest it should, because it doesn't seem to. Starting a car with a slightly run down battery with this is hit and miss. If it was truly 300 amps, that is PLENTY of power to add to a run down battery and jump a car, so this must not be 300 amps like i believe that a unit that actually puts our as much as this one claims would cost about $200. But It is very convenient for inflating stuff and quick portable power and it only cost me $40. But if you want unbridled reliable power, pass this up and get another product, another brand, that is much bigger and heavier, as much as like a car battery, such as a Snap-On or Mac and pay $200 or more for it.

Beware of battery issues!
December 20, 2016
BEWARE! I purchased one of these for each of my vehicles.I take them out every 6 months to make sure they are charged. I bought these in June of 2015. This month, when I took them out to charge, the battery in one of them had swollen enough to split the case open. I contacted the manufacturer and was told that they only have a 1 year warranty. The person I spoke to also said "maybe it got too hot in the car". Mine are stored in a compartment, out of the sun. So what is the point of having them if you can't keep them in the car? I thought his statement made no sense. So now I am down one device and I never even got to know if it worked. But why sell an item made for your car that you can't keep in the car for fear of it getting too hot? Since I have others and they didn't split open, I suspect the battery was defective and I think they should stand behind their product better.

November 14, 2016
Did not work after 4 weeks. Second one we have had to break for no reason. Bad customer service as well!
Stopped working within 2 weeks. Never successfully jumped anything.
November 9, 2015
Didn't figure I would need this as soon as I did, but low and behold, I had a dead battery. We went on vacation for a couple of weeks, and I have viper smart start installed on our cars. I like to start them at least once a week & let them run for a while to keep everything in tip top shape. Well, when the car wouldn't start, I knew I had a dead battery for some reason or another. So, when we got home & went to jump it with the new battery pack we had ordered, nothing. I thought, wow, this battery is dead!! But, to my amazement, I couldn't even charge a phone. So, we plugged in the power pack (note, we've only had it for 2 weeks to date), it wouldn't charge either. In the end, we wasted $50-60 bucks on this thing, and it can't even be used as a flashlight. Pretty sad. Will take the advice of others & buy from a more reputable brand in the future.

Didn't work the first time I needed to use it
April 2, 2017
Charged it up, all ready to go in case of emergency but sadly it didn't work the first time I needed to use it. Not only could I not crank the engine but on troubleshooting there is no voltage/amps using a multimeter across the clamps even though the little worklight could turn on. Called tech support and went through troubleshooting - unit will not hold a charge. Bought in Jan and now it's April so I can't return it through Amazon and the warranty states that the customer has to pay return shipping for warranty service. Basically it's now a very large, very expensive flashlight. If you buy it, test it out before the amazon return period ends. I thought it was charged up because I clicked the battery button and all the battery lights flashed on. According to tech support, you have to hold the battery button down for 10 seconds. If the lights are not still lit at 10 seconds then the unit is not charged. This is not mentioned in the manual at all.
Broken down, any warranty from Stanley?
February 1, 2017
Bought It about an year ago from amazon. Used about 5 times to inflate tire. Now, I can hear motor run but wont pass any air. Is there any warranty from stanley?
Does not work as advertised.
July 2, 2016
This unit is advertised to create 120psi. I was unable to inflate two tires to the correct pressure of 35 psi. It only created 30 psi and would not go any higher. The overall quality was not as good as I expected from Stanley. I guess everything they make is made overseas now. Amazon will not let you return this unit so will list on EBay and try to get half my money back. I wanted to use this unit at the racing track but will buy something that will work.
After 2 short uses, the compressor feature stopped working ...
August 19, 2015
After 2 short uses, the compressor feature stopped working. We contacted Stanley and were told that although it is under warranty, we have to pay to have this shipped to them, and they will replace it. It is ridiculous that they will not stand behind their product. We are now trying to work with Amazon to see if we can return it to Amazon at no cost to us.
Absolute junk. Save your money and maybe your life.
January 19, 2015
Totally junk. I bought this thing in 2013, for emergencies. it sat on the floor for a year, all nicely charged up. I used it once to start my truck. Three weeks later it quit charging. All the lights went out. Never even been bumped into. It just quit.Save your money, and maybe your life. This is one of those critical items that when you need it, you REALLY need it, and you cannot afford to have it fail.
