No lights which are is GOOD
May 11, 2017
Surprisingly realistic once branches spread right and tree is decorated. Living in CA means real trees are covered in gunk so you don't ever ever get the smell of a tree. So why bother. This ones reusable and you don't have to deal with trash pick up hassle when Christmas is over.Oh and don't buy one with lights already on it. That's a nightmare waiting to happen. As soon as a section goes out your fake tree is toast. This one is cheap enough you can buy some lights like normal. ;)
Fantastic tree for a fantastic price!
November 21, 2016
After reading some of the negative reviews on this item, I was a bit skeptical, but went ahead and ordered it. I wanted a nice tree, but couldn't see spend hundreds on one. I'm glad to say that it's exactly what I was hoping for. The longest part was fluffing the tree limbs out, which took a couple of hours. But if you take the time to fluff them, it ends up looking full and beautiful. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to buy a new tree.

Amazing tree. It doesnt require a lot of time putting up. The branches are in the holder already and does not have to be individually put in. Ive had trees that are color coated and youd have to put each seperate branch in the holder. Pain in the butt. By far the best tree for the price!!
Great tree
November 18, 2016
It can feel a little overwhelming when you first put it together. It's just that big and voluminous. But it is a great artificial tree. Looks real enough. Has good brown to green ratio. Worth the price. Full from top to bottom just depends on how you branch out the parts.
Great tree. FLUFF ALL THE BRANCHES BEFORE JUDGING.
November 24, 2015
I couldn't agree more with what several other reviewers have said - don't get freaked out when you open it up and it looks cheap and sparse! Spend 30 minutes unfolding and fluffing all the branches and you'll be amazed at how realistic and full it looks. There are three sections to the branches and the base - all the sections go together very easily. I've never seen a tree so easy to set up! Once it's all together, start at the bottom and just bend out the branches to fill in all the gaps. By the time you hit 20 minutes, you'll be wondering how there could possibly be more branches to spread out...and there always are. We found "unfluffed" branches even as we were decorating.I've attached photos of what it looks like all up and fluffed. Would TOTALLY buy this again, such a great deal for the price!
Good value.
November 28, 2014
Got it for $131.99.For the price, the tree is very nice. It's packed very tightly and you need to have some patience to fluff it out so that it looks real. When first taking it out of the packaging, it doesn't seem very full. After rearranging the branches and such, it looks pretty good. See attached pictures. The tree comes in four pieces: the stand, the base section (largest), middle section, and top section. The top section of branches is not "hinged", so you'll want to follow the instructions for "wrapped trees" in the booklet. Basically, you have to bend the branches into place both laterally and horizontally.

First artificial tree and its beautiful!
November 5, 2016
We've always gone up and cut our own tree. We like to decorate earlier now and the fresh cut trees just get SO dry by Xmas. Last year I promised I would venture to 'the dark side' and try out an artificial tree. National Tree on Amazon is the way to go. The stores are ridiculously priced for much less attractive trees and with prime i could easily return the first tree when i accidentally ordered the wrong height. When the right tree arrived I unpacked it right away and started to fluff out the branches. At first I was discouraged. I swear I could hear the words Ralphie's dad uses to decry the new fake trees..."darn thing looks like green pipe cleaners". =\ Half way thru the first portion I was envisioning how I would repack it to return it. Once the three parts were easily fit together and plugged in I stepped back and was pleasantly surprised. It is a lovely tree. And frankly it doesn't look much different than those many trees thru the years that we cut and wrestled and watered and vacuumed after. The younger me, fresh tree purist, would certainly look down my nose at my choice this yearbut with age comes wisdom and I believe this is a good decision.=)
The three looks great and have a lot of lights
November 20, 2015
The three looks great and have a lot of lights. The lights are very bright and the branches really covers the "holes" between them very well. Only two little branches came off during the process of opening the tree but other than that I'll say that is it holds very well. Also the lights are very bright. My suggestion would be that when you work with this tree, use long sleeve shirt and gloves, because it's very prickly and you will get scratches all over your arms and hands. I learned this the hard way!!!! Other than that the three looks great and I will say that for the price that I paid is very is a very good looking tree.
Perfect tree for us! Plus some handy tips:
November 11, 2015
We are so happy with this tree!!Some important things to note if you're thinking of purchasing:1. Take the time to separate each of the individual stems, one-by-one. It's tedious, but well worth it in the end.2. The video everyone refers to is on the National Tree website under instructional videos. Here's a link: http://nationaltree.com/instructional-videos.htmlThe same fluffing/shaping instructions are also provided in the instruction manual.3. Wear gloves or long sleeves when you put it together. By the end of fluffing and separating you will probably have some scratches or irritation if you don't cover your arms. It's nothing too major, just a heads up if you want to avoid it all together.4. Each group of branches has three smaller clumps on it. Be sure to pull both left and right sides away from the center clump and then start to individually separate the stems in each section. I have found that this method helps to really fill any empty spaces in the tree.5. In the instruction video and manual it said that the three sections are tied together with a tie or string, but mine came wrapped in a wired faux-pine strip, which was completely camouflaged in the tree. Hopefully telling you this will save you some time, so you know what you're looking for to release the hinges.I really do love this tree, it has the perfect amount of lights, and the little brown detailing on the stems really gives it a "real" look. I'm not sure why there are any negative reviews, because for a faux pre-lit it's a reasonable price and it looks beautiful if it's assembled correctly.
Amazing!!!!! I love this tree!!!!
November 2, 2015
Absolutely beautiful tree, there isn't anything bad I can say about it. It came super fast, it's very full the color is spot on, it looks so real. The amount of lights on it is perfect!!! It's very sturdy, and easy to set up. Definitely a good purchase!
Pictures don't do it justice

I love a real Christmas tree. This is our first artificial tree. Last year our hard wood floors were damaged by Christmas tree water and this year we have new carpet. I was very hesitant. However this tree is gorgeous! Doesn't look fake at all. It's very full. I watched the video on YouTube (just search for national tree company). It told me exactly how to shape the tree. It took me an hour and a half to shape it by myself.
Great Tree
November 29, 2012
After our old artificial tree base broke, my wife said it was time to get a new one. We'd always joked about our old tree being a 'Charlie Brown' Christmas tree. This one definitely is not! I was initially concerned about paying $223 for a tree, but after putting this one together, I'd definitely buy the same one again. It's a snap to put up and looks really good after properly fluffing it. Fluffing took the longest, but with 4 of us doing it, it took less than 10 minutes.I would highly suggest watching this video before even taking the tree out of the box: youtube.com/watch?v=w9A2OeNo9K8&feature=youtu.be&wmode=opaqueYou'll actually save yourself time and concern by watching the video first. I'm uploading a picture of our tree so you can see for yourself how the final product looks.Hope this one lasts at least as long as my old one (10 years). It definitely looks nicer.

but overall I'm very happy with the tree
January 5, 2017
It did take quite awhile to fluff it out, but overall I'm very happy with the tree. I don't have a picture with ornaments and garland on it. Just the one after I put the lights on it. But you can see, despite a bit of glare from the lights, that the tree doesn't have a lot of empty holes in it. I'm looking for something to put around the base to make it look less like a stand, but I'm happy with the tree and would recommend it. The only con that I have is that the top branches at the tip of the tree aren't very strong. So it was difficult to put my star tree topper on it without it sagging forward. I'm thinking about connecting a rod to the base at the top so I can put it on that.
Good light-free tree
December 18, 2016
After many years of resisting, I finally got a fake tree. My hubby is a firefighter so he's not a fan of having a dead tree in the house. I really wanted to be able to put on my own lights. I like to have color some years and white others. So, I was happy to find this one. None of my local stores had a light-free option. The package came quick. The tree is sturdy and seems to be well made. When you first open it up, it will look terrible. You have to spend quite a bit of time "fluffing" it. by pulling up, out and curving each branch. That was exhausting. I also wish it had some texture variations, but all the branches are the same. However, especially for the price, it is a very good tree and I'm sure we'll use it for many years to come.
Great tree!
December 3, 2015
Great tree. I grew up with a real tree every year. This is my first artificial tree. Looks just as real id say. Only thing you dont get the authentic smell. O yea and watering duties, loose pine needles, sap on your hands from moving it, and having to haul it in and out of your house every year. Ill sacrafice the great smell for the others lol because yankee candle can solve that for me anyways. Takes a while to fluff (me about an hour to get it to look how i wanted it) and i did loose some pine needles putting it up but overall a great and affordable tree.
It's a nice tree!
November 18, 2015
This tree is really nice and great for the price! I give it 4 stars only because during the daylight, the branches are a little sparse and not as full as I would like it to be. It was easy to assembly (only 3 parts to it) and the branches are already attached to the branch (not like other artificial trees where you have to manually insert them into their spots). Overall, I do love the tree and have received many compliments on it! I would definitely recommend this product to all my family and friends!
Right size, right price and looks great when decorated
January 2, 2015
I was delighted with this artificial tree. Before I bought it, though, I went to about a dozen websites to read about various artificial trees, plus I looked at several trees in local stores. Based on what I saw, this tree is a great bargain (I paid around $100).It was easy to put together and had no odor of any kind and did not give off any dust. Several "needles" fell off as I fluffed the tree, but that seemed normal. I did wear thin cotton gloves and long sleeves as I unfolded each branch and spread out the tips to look like a real tree. If you don't cover your hands and arms and your skin is sensitive, the material might cause some irritation. (However, I often get hives on my skin from handling real, live evergreen trees.) I made sure to vacuum up any fallen needles.Once you spread out the branches and tips, the finished tree does not look as full as the photo, but if it did, there'd be no spaces for ornaments to hang. Now, unlike a real tree, these branches can't really support heavy ornaments. I bent up the tips of several branches to keep my heavier ornaments from slipping off.In stores I saw other artificial trees that looked more like the photo, but they were three times the price of this one. If you need to have a perfect artificial tree, you owe it to yourself to shop in person to make sure you find what you want. However, with enough LED lights and ornaments and garlands, this tree can look fabulous.
Good looking tree at a reasonable price
December 2, 2014
Bought this tree for work- assembles easily and looks quite nice once branches are fluffed out. The "fluffing" is the only time consuming part of assembly, but worth the trouble to do thoroughly to show the tree at it's best. Other than the obvious metal base, the tree is very convincing. We've received several compliments from clients on how nice it looks.

Ehhh...
December 18, 2016
The biggest complaint I saw about this tree in the comments was that it takes so long to fluff. That is no lie. It takes so long because it really should have more boughs or stems. It's kind of skimpy. It does look okay if you take the time and really work at it branch by branch. But it you want a tree that looks beautiful with little effort involved, best choose a different one.The upside is the coloring is really great. Not vibrant green fake or so brown that it looks half dead. Also, a good amount of lights. It seems well constructed so I'm hoping I can get quite a few years out of it. All-in-all, it seems kind of pricey for what you get, but you could definitely do worse.

November 24, 2016
This tree is beautiful! The only reason it didn't get 5 stars was because of the top. It's too flimsy for a star. I will need to reinforce the Star so it doesn't look saggy.
Nice if you know what to do
November 18, 2016
This is a beautiful tree and wasn't hard to put up. I would have 5 stars but the lighting on the bottom didn't work. A casing was busted on a light my husband pulled the light out and electric taped the area and the lights all worked. It was a package problem too much problem to send back. Hoping the company might give me a discount!
Beautiful when dressed and lit
August 12, 2015
It isn't the fullest tree and even after fluffing you can see a lot of open space where there could be more branches. However, the lights and ornaments create an overall illusion of fullness and magic which you can clearly see from the picture I've posted. It's all how you dress the tree. It's a decent tree I would say compared to many I've seen in various stores.
very pretty
December 6, 2014
Just put this up for the first time. We love it. You have to adjust every single branch, but that's the same for any tree I've ever had. Nov the fullest tree ever but looks great decorated.
Nice product once you "fluff" it out
February 6, 2013
When we pulled this out of the box and put it up the first time - we thought it was a very ugly tree and we said what did we do? Luckily I recalled seeing in the reviews on Amazon that people said to watch the video on the National tree website to find out the correct way for fluffing it out. What a difference it made. This is really a very pretty tree when you follow the directions from the video on the website (the instructions that came with the tree are fairly useless). We added some Pine Scentsicles and it felt like we had a real tree!

Looks better in the picture
February 23, 2016
Cheap material. Looks better in the picture. Probably get a few years of good use. The fake pine is really brittle and falls from the branches easy. Almost like it's made out of paper. If your looking for a long term tree, buy better quality.
Can't beat the price
December 27, 2015
The price on this tree was a steal. For the height and the style of the tree this should have been over $200. I would like to give it a better score but it's difficult to. There are a lot of bare spots in the tree no matter how much you "fluff" the branches. I think this is a great starter tree for a family or even if you are just getting a tree and you dislike the holidays. I wouldn't recommend it as the perfect tree in anyway though.
Not a full-looking tree
December 8, 2015
There a lot of gaps in this tree. I know how to spread branches so you don't see through a tree usually, but even after I did that with this tree, it looks sparse. You can see through to the other side. Pro - its very easy to set up and is a nice color, which is why I gave it 3 stars.
which is good for hanging ornaments
December 24, 2014
Not nearly as full as the picture, even after fluffing. Lots of space. which is good for hanging ornaments, but the amount of light passing between layers of branches makes the wires on the standard and LED mini lights I used really obvious and the symmetrical arrangement of the fold down branches really stands out since you can see right to the center of the tree in several spots.

Some lights were not working right out of the box and the tree does not measure 59" as indicated its more like 46-48".
November 25, 2015
Not impressed! The tree took over 2.5 hours to set up and "fluff" out before even being able to add decorations. The lights are not attached properly and somtimes had 3-4 branches combined or wrapped together and I had to carefully seperate the branches being careful not break any. I did loose a few along the way. Some lights were not working right out of the box and the tree does not measure 59" as indicated its more like 46-48".
Very beautiful but top section of lights didn't last a month
January 31, 2015
Before I get to the con, let me say that this tree is absolutely beautiful. It goes together well and looks stunning when it's decorated and lit. Our only con is that the top section of lights died right after the new year. We had it up for a month, after Thanksgiving through New Years and the day after the New Year, the top section wouldn't light. We replaced the fuses and many of the lights but couldn't get it to relight. Because it's so beautiful, I was going to give it 4 stars but it's too expensive of a tree for any of it to burn out after just a month.
This thing took the better part of 5 hours to set up
December 17, 2014
Wow, what a pain in the...fingers! This thing took the better part of 5 hours to set up. About 3 minutes to take it out of the box, and the rest of the time to spread out the individual branches. It also has a very peculiar, and lingering smell, that is really kind of gross. The 3 star rating is because it accomplishes the main objective, quite nicely I might add, however knowing what I do, I wish I had picked a different one.
Good looking tree
January 4, 2013
I actually like the tree very much but a couple days after setting it up a string of lights went out. It comes with spare lights but I have not yet been able to find the culprit that is leaving a blank strip of un-lit lights. Easily would have been a 4 or 5 star purchase if the lights didn't go out so quickly.

This tree is okay. I mean, it's just okay. It seems sturdy enough, and was easy to assemble, but when fully shaped, it just seems to be missing any character or semblance of realism. I bought this tree based on rave reviews, and I am now wondering if they were written by real people. If you want an acceptable tree, get this one. If you are looking for a beautiful tree, keep looking.

Nice tree, however a couple of strands of lights did not light up. The splice in the wiring was bad, will have to return tree for repair.
I love this tree
December 23, 2015
I love this tree. It's the second one I've purchased since starting a family of my own and it was absolutely beautiful after put together and fluffed out. HOWEVER, I've had nothing but issues with the lights. One section is flickering and now another is completely out. I spent about an hour trying to find the culprit bulb before I gave up. For owning this tree for only a couple weeks, it's caused way more problems than it's worth. I'll either be restringing it with my own lights (defeating the purpose of paying extra for a prelit) or buying ANOTHER tree next year, I haven't decided yet.
light failure
December 23, 2015
Tree looked nice, but lights on top tier failed after 1 day. We tried replacing EVERY SINGLE light on this strand, and it still didn't work. Seems a lot easier to buy a tree and add your own strings of lights that don't all go out if one bulb is bad.
it's up and it's beautiful, but the aggravation was a pain
December 4, 2014
The tree - looks wise - is gorgeous... you get what you pay for... unfortunately about 50 of the lights would not work when I put it up. I called and they had me check every bulb even though it advertised that if one bulb doesn't work - it does NOT shut off others... hhmmmm... me thinks they have a problem... anyway... could NOT get the section working and they offered to send a string of lights for the broken area and then replace that tree section after the holiday... it's up and it's beautiful, but the aggravation was a pain ...
Not worth such an expensive price.
November 17, 2014
I think I got a returned used tree. The box flaps on the sides were ripped half way from a previous opening and "patched" up with tape over the rips. Inside, the first two sections of the tree were not even wrapped in the white foam paper but just laying there and the foam paper was balled up on the side. The third piece, which was the top, was carefully wrapped in the foam paper with tape around it. Another words, I can tell the top was never opened - or it seemed. When I took the two bottom sections out and placed them on stand, the tips were bent up and crinkled as it someone opened them and stuffed them back in place. The wires of the lights were tangled badly. I am livid that I received a used and returned item. What a slap in the face, seller! Also, the plastic was very cheap. The picture shows a soft looking and full looking greenery, but the tree I received has cheap plastic greenery that I would find in Wal Mart. This was not the tree that I was seeing in the photo or the other customer photos. It does not look like it is worth even half of what I paid for. Unfortunately I am not very happy for this experience.
Disappointed with product
December 1, 2013
I should have gone with the GE tree at Costco, for just about the same price. This tree requires a tremendous amount of work to spread out the branches. You can spend a 1-1.5 hours "fluffing" the thing, and while this process improves the appearance allot - I don't think there are enough branches/tips to adequately fill out this tree. We watched the video, it was helpful but did not make a material difference for us. The materials are decent, and the included lights are distributed in an even manner. If packing it up for return wasn't such a pain, I would have returned it.

Section of Tree will not Light
December 5, 2016
We are very pleased with the tree we received upon taking it out of great box and fluffy it. However, our "pre-lit" tree has an entire section in the lower third that does not light! We took time and care to "fluff" the entire tree, only to find that a section of the lights on the lower third do not work. We painstakingly removed each of the "not working" lights and tried them on a spot in a working section of the tree. Every bulb worked! Unfortunately, it appears the "sockets" so to speak for that non working section are the cause of our issue. We'd like to return the tree due to this defect, but are concerned a new one won't arrive for another 10 days. Additionally, we don't want to run the risk of receiving another tree that won't fully light! The entire point of purchasing a pre-lit tree was to avoid this whole mess. It is very disheartening to spend this amount of money on a tree only to find it is far from what was promised. From reason the reviews, they seem overall positive, but I see several that encountered the same issue as our tree: non working light sections. I assume that someone else received this tree, returned it because it was defective, and then National Tree sent it out to another customer (me!) without fixing the issue.
Hours of work and still no tree
December 1, 2016
I was very disappointed with this tree. I have had artificial trees before so I had what I thought was a reasonable expectation in this case. The lights were not attached to the limbs of the tree but just laid around the outside, some strings just dangling. Then the bottom string of lights did not work. I tried every combination of connections with no success. Finally I found the beginning of that string and found where the wire was broken clean through. I had an extra string of lights and tried to put them on the tree, which was very difficult because it was trial and error to find a working connection. Then, because of the way the original lights were "not" attached to the tree properly, it was impossible to add another string. Along the way I was trying to fluff out the branches in order to see what I was doing. I did all I could do, but had to admit defeat. With great effort I dismantled everything and did the best I could to get it back in the box. It will be dragged to the curb for trash pickup.
Bad tree investment. Potentially dangerous.
December 14, 2015
Well, this tree almost wrecked Christmas. We purchased it in 2012 via Amazon and thought it decent but over-priced the first year. That was our first year with our new daughter so we wanted the "perfect" Christmas. By the second year some of the branches were becoming unhinged if you looked at them wrong despite very careful storage. We might as well of had a real tree with how many needles dropped on the floor. But when the branches held, it still looked pretty decent. On the third year, two light strands no longer functioned despite changing fuses. We looped over additional lights and no, we didn't daisy chain in a different brand into the tree's lights. We had two separate cords to the wall. Well, this year, my Father-in-law celebrated Thanksgiving with us and as he lives far away and is ill, we decided to throw the tree up quickly and celebrate with him before he left town.We plugged in just the tree's original lights and every strand blew, and every bulb blew. Black tips at the end of every single bulb. While trying to make sure the problem was with the tree and not our wiring, the top third of the tree fell completely off. The stake that secures the top portion of the tree has glue around it. Well that glue apparently didn't want to stick around. We had to dismantle the remainder of the tree quickly and rush to the store for an unplanned tree purchase. We decided no more pre-lit trees and far prefer the replacement we scored for $60 to this nightmare tree. We are just thankful it didn't catch on fire.
Just Ugh... The Lights.. Read On Please.
November 20, 2015
Okay, Before you take my one star review and base it off your purchase, Let me be clear as to WHY it is a one star review for me. First off, This is not an LED tree, it is standard basic lighting, So if you are looking for LED, do NOT buy this tree. Secondly, It seems the lights go out very quickly on this tree and from my experience not anywhere near enough extra lights are provided for a tree of this magnitude. This tree has 750 light tips. Good luck trying to find that ONE problem causing strands to go out left right and center. I have had this tree since 2013, so if you know your math, this is the 3rd year we have put this tree up, gone through the hassles of fluffing it, decorating it, then when we think we can enjoy it, the strands have started going out tot he point that the best course of action is to take ALL the lights out, either buy NEW lights ( another expense ) OR pray to the gods you can fix the dead strands and then restring the lights in such a way that it would still come across as ( pre lit ). For 299.99 this is A LOT of hassle for a tree that's only 3 years old. Been kept in a cool dry place all year round ( in a closet, in it's original box ). I was expecting this tree to last for YEARS before I EVER had to mess with a problem this massive on a 300 dollar tree. NOW.. If you want a super full elegant fluffed out tree, this is your doll. WHEN its been fluffed out properly this looks as close to a REAL tree as you can get for the money. But the lights however.... No. Just No. Buy a clean tree and string your own lights. Don't waste the money on this one only to be where I am at this point.
Lights stopped working after first Christmas
April 12, 2015
UPDATE :This year only lights working were the ones I put on last year. all in all I added 500 new lights to this tree...SO DISAPOINTEDORIGINAL REVIEW:It was all great... For one Christmas.... This past Christmas 2014 after we plugged it in light of an either section on top and part of a middle section didn't work. We had to string two strings of lights- obv color didn't match. Kind of expensive to pay this much to use a tree for one year. Very disappointed
You'll be sorry.

I purchased this tree based on the pictured item and the reviews. Sounds beautiful, right? Looks full and lovely in the picture. This was the single most disappointing product I have ever bought from Amazon. It was beyond hideous. It was scraggly and ugly and no amount of "fluffing" was going to make it otherwise. I still have a picture of this grotesque thing on my cell phone and I would post it here if I could. I don't know if they sent me the wrong tree, a cheaper tree or if they paid all these people to write glowing reviews about it. There is no way the reviewers were talking about the tree I received. So then we are scrambling to find another tree but first I have to send this order back. Guess what? The vendor (a third party vendor through Amazon) said that I would have to pay for the return shipping because I had "changed my mind." It's not exactly changing your mind when you get something that is other than what you ordered, now is it? It cost $75 to ship it back. I will not purchase anything from this vendor again. Save yourself the aggravation and do the same.
