Great trowel
September 13, 2017
Another great Fiskars product. Handle is great for big hands or long fingers and will not rust if left out.
Dig it.
August 7, 2017
Handy little tool for my cactus garden and soil mixing. Fiskars make great quality product. I like this one.
Can you dig it?
July 6, 2017
I got this trowel for my wife after her other one broke. She is really digging this one and it is much stronger and will last a lot longer.
Works better if the soil is dry

Pry out dandelions and wild strawberries, roots and all. Works better if the soil is dry.

A WELL-MADE GARDEN TOOL FOR THE MONEY.
Good Quality
June 12, 2016
I needed a durable and functional trowel for my small home garden. I use a raised bed and so the dirt is not overly packed. I found this trowel to be perfect for my gardening needs and I think the handle provides a good grip. The metal is thick and not flimsy, so you are getting a high quality tool for an affordable price.

Digging for gold.
August 26, 2017
Appears to be a quality item. I have a Fiskars manual spring-loaded lawn trimmer I have been happy with for the tight spots. I also have a Fiskars trimming board, and a Fiskars Scissors. To date, I have been quite pleased with their products. I intend to add this to my metal detecting tool backpack.
Perfect for scooping potting mixes
August 25, 2017
Where has this little scoop been all my life?! Sometimes a hand trowel just isn't the right tool when you're transplanting, but this is the right one. It's better than using a small pot or cup, and better than using a trowel to scoop potting mixes or other materials. If you do a lot of container gardening, you'll love this.
Great for hiking and camping!
June 27, 2017
This a great backpacking trowel. It's very light and extremely strong. I see a few reviewers say their broke with light use and I can't wrap my mind around that. I had a big stack of heavy cardboard boxes and before I broke them down I decided to test this shovel on them, so I started stabbing them. I jabbed at least fifty holes through several layers of heavy boxes, including some I had to hammer through. In addition to that I've dug up roots and dug holes in rocky soil with no issues. I'm not sure what it would take to break one of these, although perhaps in very cold weather the plastic might get more brittle.
Buy More!
June 2, 2017
Really good scoop. Wish I bought more than 2. For soil, peat moss, fertilizer, pea gravel, etc...I ilusually use an old plastic dish for these things. This scoop is very nice in your hand, scoops and empties nicely. Very hearty grade of plastic.
If you are a gardener YOU NEED THESE
April 9, 2017
I needed new trowels as the old ones cannot be found (don't ask). This shape was appealing as our soil is clay and gets really hard to break through. Needn't have worried with these trowels. They break the soil so easily and also make removing weeks a snap. Plus you have the Fiskars brand means you know they will last. Thoroughly happy with this purchase and would recommend to anyone.
No complaints at all!
March 29, 2016
Just like all of my other Fiskars items, these cultivators are the same quality I have come to expect from this company. I love that they are composite material. This means that they won't rust or rot and will last for years to come. I don't know how many times I have gone to use my metal cultivators only for the tines to bend in our hard NC soil and then break off at the wooden handle. Unlike that junk, these are super lightweight but at the same time, extremely strong and durable. I own a Fiskars Axe and I was skeptical at first (since I knew them only as a scissor company) but that thing is a beast. This is why I decided to go ahead and buy their smaller items too. They are all awesome products (even the scissors LOL)

April 6, 2017
Great small hand rake. Very sturdy and solidly built
Very durable & strong--Don't lose it!
September 12, 2016
Ergonomic and a million times stronger than the plastic crap available at WalMart. I bought one of these a long time ago and recently lost it.....I thought I could buy a replacement at Wal Mart and never realized how much I like this particular cultivator (particularly the metal fingers). I have now bought 2 just in case I lose one again.
Great for small garden projects
July 6, 2016
My little patch of yard is covered in crabgrass and other tough weeds with extensive root systems, so planting anything can be a grueling process. This tool has been great for clearing those out and loosening up the soil, especially for smaller plantings where a little precision is needed. The handle is comfortable in my hand, and the metal teeth are sturdy enough to power through tough soil without bending.
Love this tool
February 26, 2015
Love this tool. Makes gardening much easier. It really is easy on my old hands. Wish I had this year's ago!

Handle Covered with Large, Difficult-to-Remove Sticker - Sturdy Design, Affordable
August 13, 2017
This, like the trowel version, gets the job done for a good price. It's made of a sturdy material that holds up well to regular gardening tasks. However, please note that the handle comes covered in a large, branded sticker that is difficult to remove.
Lightweight, works well, doesn't rust
July 10, 2017
I like this tool. It would be nice if the blade was sharper, but in normal soil it works great.
Bit shorter than expected
June 12, 2017
The trowel portion was a bit shorter than expected, but otherwise Fiskars usual very good quality
Well made
May 2, 2017
A little to light weight for me but well made product. Im sure this will last for a long time to come
Sturdy Scoop
September 5, 2015
This is a nice sturdy scoop that has many potential uses inside and outside the house. Overall durability is better than most of the other products I have used for this purpose. The regular plastic ones usually break easily, and the metal ones most often corrode quickly when in contact with soil and rocks. The composite strikes a nice balance between the two, and this thing feels virtually indestructible. The size and shape of the scoop make it useful for measuring out fertilizers and other garden products.

Nice tool
August 23, 2017
This is a nice Fiskar product but wish it had more thongs, sharper thongs and longer thongs. I got an Asano Japanese Ninja Claw rake which I like much better but it has a wooden handle and probably won't hold up as long as I would like.

Fiskars Cultivator
June 14, 2014
This replaces a plastic one where the tines broke off from use. This cultivator, looking at the way it is built, should last for 50 years plus, in other words, a lifetime. The handle appears to be well made and its shape is comfortable when using. Its a basic tool so not a lot to go wrong with it. I would recommend it to anybody.

the only problem I found was that the handle was a little thick for a woman's hand and a little hard to hold. Otherwise it was made well.
Gentle use only, not overly sturdy
August 10, 2014
Small, not overly strong or durable. Not nearly as strong as my old standby. Trowel is medium at best, it is m not large. Three star is for bending on difficult digs, but fine if you don't need a sturdy trowel. Did not notice any ergo benefits.

Ok. for softer ground.
June 15, 2017
I suppose on fairly soft ground this will be ok. But on harder ground, like we have in the Mojave Desert, this doesn't hold a candle to a good steel trowel for example, in my case, when digging out weeds.

Broke the first day.. I'm unsure if I was digging the worlds biggest root or if it's kinda flimsy .. went to Home Depot and bought a new one with a steel blade. I suppose it would work well if you simply used it for moving potting soil.

good for the price, but doesn't last long
May 22, 2016
I got the transplanter. It lasted 2 months, using it frequently, and leaving it outside most of the time. I really like that it didn't bend like the metal ones do. It probably would have lasted longer if I took better care of it. It did eventually break in half. Over all for the price, and how well it worked I am buying another one, hopefully this one will last longer.
This will never rust.
April 6, 2015
not very big as a scoop but slightly better than a trowel.Have reverted to using a clay pot to move potting soil into big pots. But I like the design and it handles well. If it had been bigger it would have been a real seller

I gave it a two instead of one star because I bought two of them. One snapped at the metal joining the handle on the first dig. Snapped right off. Metal had serious flaws in it. The second one has worked ok, but we are leary of it doing the same thing. Time will tell.

June 30, 2015
Good trowel for light duty use but there are two big problems. First, the hole in the handle us in a terrible location. When pushing hard to bust sod or hard soil the hole is very uncomfortable. Second, over time, the rubber starts to peel off of the handle and gets uncomfortable. I am currently looking for a replacement.

The blade is too thick to be sharp & so does not easily penetrate the soil like a metal one
July 16, 2017
This is mostly my fault, as I didn't read the description completely before purchasing. I looked at the picture & the price & I needed one so I bought it. It is all plastic. The blade is too thick to be sharp & so does not easily penetrate the soil like a metal one. My mistake - but take my word & just don't buy this product.

This is exactly what it is - a transplanter. If you plan to use it for taking the soft soil from the bag and put it into a planter, there is a chance the product will remain in one piece. I tried to dig a hole in the garden, and a piece chipped off the first time I used it.
It broke while digging
January 23, 2017
On the third use, when scraping alongside a wall, the tip snapped off. It seemed to be of decent quality, but it couldn't hold up in Arizona.

Broke during first use

Fiskar products are usually good - but not this one
June 6, 2017
Much smaller than it looks in the picture, plus the end broke off within 15 minutes of use. I usually love Fiskars products, but this is poor quality and definitely not suitable for "large scoops of soil" that they advertized. An empty soup can is more effective than this poorly made product. I hate to leave bad reviews, but this was not worth purchasing at any price.
but the quality was obviously really poor.
May 15, 2017
An inch of the tip broke off literally the first time I put it in the dirt. I was really looking forward to this based on the positive reviews, but the quality was obviously really poor.
