Five Star Reviews: | 65% Good stuff! Use it a lot for reheating leftovers June 9, 2017 Good stuff! Use it a lot for reheating leftovers ... and sometime sticky stuff with melted cheese ... never a problem cleaning it up like new quickly. I would reorder the two I have, if ever lose their non-stick coating. Good luck waiting for that to happen! Well made and heavy-duty. May 23, 2017 Well made and heavy-duty. The non-stick coating seems durable, provided you don't abuse it with a metal scrubble (which I have not tried).. Great quality for a great price! May 9, 2017 Received these today and expected to find a cheap aluminum weight pan, but these are perfect! Heavier weight, sturdy, and non stick, these will last a long time! Perfect for double layer cakes July 6, 2016 I ordered the OvenStuff 9 inch cake pans a few months ago, and they arrived really quickly! So, I was very pleased with that. After using them a few times, I couldn't be more happy! They bake each cake perfectly, and evenly. I like that I can throw them right in the dishwasher, and that hasn't ruined them at all. This is the first time I tried OvenStuff brand pans, and I will definitely try more of their other non stick pans! These are great for making layer cakes January 5, 2015 These are great for making layer cakes. 9" is the size my wife likes to make and the non stick layering does the trick. As other reviews have mentioned, the edges on these pans are tapered as opposed to straight. The tapering is there to make it easier to get the baked cake out of the pan, but you are left with tapered edges to your cakes. so you either need to cut them off with a knife to make them straight, or just use a lot of frosting on your sides to cover it up. We just use a lot of frosting and no one is the wiser. | 75% So far; so good. August 19, 2017 This was a curiosity purchase. I have the pots and have been happy with them. They have been used for light weight baking and I have not seen them warp as others have mentioned. These can be scratched. Just like their pots so do have the right utensils when working with them. So far I am happy. Great baking set April 13, 2017 Great baking set! Bought for Christmas and have used the bread pan, brownie pan, muffin pan and cookie sheet almost weekly since. The cake pans are too small for my use, but would be nice for a petite little cake. Love the Calphalon quality. It really is good for the price and the pans tend to last for years. Good set March 19, 2017 So far so good, I'm starting to cook alot more. I needed someone I could use and not have to purchase again after a year. So far so good. I have used multiple times. Easy to clean, nothing sticks, works great in the dishwasher. This is the best bake ware I've ever used March 7, 2017 This is the best bake ware I've ever used. The nonstick surfaces are wonderful. Cookies slip right off. I love everything Calphalon. |
Four Star Reviews: | 15% Nice cake pans.2 June 15, 2016 I gave this only 4 stars till I can use them more. So far I like them. A no name brand but they seem just as good as any big brand pans. I didn't want to spend $10 to $50 a pan....that's just rediculous. So I took a chance and these cake pans seem pretty good. Better than Bakers Secret for sure. If they last a couple of years I'll be happy. I will use them a couple m of times a month and usujust for one layer but I wanted 2 pans so I can bake a layer cake once in a while. I am not disappointed in either quality or price. I think it was worth the money and would not hesitate to buy them again. Very Good January 4, 2016 Excellent cake pans. They're light, stiff, and non-stick. My only complaint is that they sometimes get stuck together when I store them with one inside the other. Sides aren't straight - but still good. :) November 9, 2015 These are my only 9-inch cake pans and I do like them, but a note: the sides are not straight. They are at a slight angle so if you're planning on using this to make a layered cake, you may need to do a little bit of trimming to get the sides to be perfectly straight.I'm pretty happy with them; they are made of fairly good material and haven't warped. My cakes release easily. I'll likely buy another set with straight sides, but I won't be doing it anytime soon (or at least not until something happens to these) because they have and are serving me well. Good quality but not the best choice for layered cakes December 6, 2013 I bought these pans for making layered cakes. The quality of the pans themselves....fantastic. They are a good weight and nothing sticks when you properly prepare the pan. One problem I have is the bottom diameter of each pan is smaller than the upper diameter. So when you are putting your layer cake together you cannot stack two layers evenly. I trim the outers sides of the cake and hide it with the frosting but I would not have bought these had I known. There were other reviews that say they are both straight sides but trust me, they are not. The fact that these two pans can be stored one inside the other is proof the bottom and top of each pan is a different size. I will say it's not a huge size difference but it's enough that I have to spackle frosting and mess around to make it work.I have used these on occasion to cook non-bakery goods and I don't use non-stick spray or anything on the pans and have no problems with anything sticking. I've had these pans for almost 3 years now. | 11% Good set August 22, 2017 Good set. Unfortunately scratches pretty easily so you need to be careful. Nonstick works great though and is very easy to clean. So far so good December 27, 2013 I read a fair amount of negative reviews on this item and the warping of the cookware, however i have not had that issue yet or the rusting issue either. For the price i have to say i am satisfied with the quality of the pans. Its not top of the line naturally, but if you want that then expect to pay three times as much otherwise for the value of these pans you cannot go wrong. They feel pretty sturdy and strong to me. I have not used the bread or muffin pan yet, but i have used the other ones multiple times already. Value = Excellent Price per piece =Excellent ratio of quality to price = Excellent Quality of items without price in mind = OK Forget the celebrity chef bakeware...get what you need December 12, 2013 Very high quality at an affordable price. The coating is well-done and the pans all have a satisfying weight (for bakeware, mass means better heat retention and distribution). My only complaint would be that this set should have 2 bread pans and 2 muffin pans. Highly recommended. |
Three Star Reviews: | 6% Good pans but its is miss leading cause they are ... January 23, 2017 Good pans but its is miss leading cause they are pie pans not cake pans so now i will have to trim the cakes to get them un slanted One pan was damaged and dented December 15, 2016 These pans look great, but there is a reason maybe why these are cheaper. One pan came fine while the other one was pretty dented.Does not look like it was dented in transit I really liked these pans at first but after the second or ... November 2, 2016 I really liked these pans at first but after the second or third wash I'm already noticing rust issues around the edges - not happy about it and will most likely be switching back to glass pans. Expected cake pans, got pie pans October 10, 2016 The pans are excellent quality and have a nice non-stick coating. However, the pans are actually pie pans (even says so on their label) and the Amazon posting says they are cake pans. They only major difference here is the slant of the edges, but it makes it impossible to make a layered cake. I was disappointed upon opening them but they work great as pie pans. Sides of the pans are slightly angled June 11, 2016 The only reason I'm giving them a 3 star instead of a 2 star is because I should have known from the pictures and I should have read some of the Q&A's before hand so that was my bad. I am not impressed with my first impression with these pans. I haven't used them yet but they say they are layering pans..... But they angle out so I now have to cut the sides of all my cakes so they are the same on the sides. Also the pans are super shallow. I will probably still keep these because I'll find use for them for things like pie's but I'll need to buy new cake pans because it's easier for me to buy new pans then cut the sides each time. | 5% Three Stars September 4, 2017 He set is nice, the round layer pan is smaller than I usually use, but I love the product. Good after rust stopped July 29, 2017 Dripped rust the first couple of washes, but once that stopped it was all good. ... instructions I did not follow them but I am disappointed as the coating wears off and flakes off into ... July 6, 2016 Rusted after awhile and to be fair if there were special cleaning instructions I did not follow them but I am disappointed as the coating wears off and flakes off into teh food very bad I had to throw them out I will continue to look for top quality bakeware even if I need to spend much more Good starter set July 25, 2012 We purchased these after moving into a new house but I think we will be replacing them soon. After less than a years normal use and proper washing and drying we are getting quite a bit of rust spots on all pieces. Also the nonstick seems to be working less and less regardless of what is being cooked in it. So in short it's a good cheap set to start out with but in time you will need to invest in some quality bakeware. decent March 23, 2012 The life expectancy, like most non-stick finished bakeware, really depends on how you treat it. I purchased this set and gave the casserole and loaf pans to a friend of mine, and kept the other pieces. Now, about a year later, and with frequent use, on the two round cake pans and cookie sheet, they are still holding up fairly well. My cakes slide right out of the pans, and the non-stick coating looks the same as it did brand new. The cookie sheet has a few spots where the coating has discolored, and the raised brand name in the middle of the pan (which Im not sure why they placed that there) has started to rust on the letters. I cannot say the same for the pieces I gave away, as my friend says that they scratched and rusted within the first few months of use. I think that I would purchase this set again, mostly because it was a good price, and included all the pieces you need for any kind of baking job. |
Two Star Reviews: | 5% Rusted after one use November 6, 2017 These pans worked great for making rice noodles in my steamer pot - the noodles didn't stick - but, after using them once they already have rust around the bottom outside rim and in hairline scratches on the pan that I don't know the origin of, since I used a plastic spatula to get the noodles off the pan. I hand washed them after I used them. rusty October 28, 2017 these things rust like crazy. every time i clean and dry them there always seems to be a new little rust spot coming up and i havent even had them very long so it is super disappointing. very cheap quality what I got were pie pans. I dont know ... November 28, 2016 what I got were pie pans. I dont know if they were just mislabelled, I sent them back, the pan sides had a 45 degree angle. | 4% Not up to Calphalon standards. December 11, 2016 The cookie sheet warped at temperatures as low as 350 degrees. I can't make cookies at all. The other items are sturdier, probably due to a higher rim. Pan did warp in oven. Not heavy gauge by ... December 7, 2016 Pan did warp in oven. Not heavy gauge by comparison to any other baking pans I have owned in 40 years. It isn't the product I expected from Calphalon although it the price seemed cheap. This isn't the best set. I've definitely had much much better December 8, 2014 This isn't the best set. I've definitely had much much better. The 9 X11 sheet twists every time I put it in the oven and makes a loud noise It does straighten back out). When I put it in the dishwasher rusty water pores from around the edge even those I wash it standing on its side (???), weird. I've had the set for 4 months and it has done this since day one. They look nice if that counts May 22, 2014 I am usually very fond of this brand and look for it at places when I need things, it is usually very good quality. These are not. I had a set of these used a couple of them one night to cook dinner, firsts use ever, washed them, let them dry, then went to put them away and the rolled metal around the edges had a surprise for me. This part was still full of water and had proceeded to rust. The rusty water went everywhere. I had amazon send another set thinking it might just be a faulty pan. Not at all the set I have now does the same thing. But hey they look alright and they do work I guess. Not as good as I thought they would be May 17, 2012 I bought 2 sets of these for my daughters..they started sticking about 3 months after they were bought. They were well taken care of but seemed to be losing their non stick coating..and not as heavy duty as I believed they would be. |
One Star Reviews: | 9% Rusted Before First Use November 5, 2017 I washed them in the dishwasher before using them (the label states they can be washed in the dishwasher) and both came out looking like old rusted pans. Both have small rust spots around the rims and one of them has about a 4" rusted area on the inside. I won't use either of them. Cheap quality. Should have read the reviews before ordering. I received pie pans. The label on them confirms ... September 25, 2017 I received pie pans. The label on them confirms pie,not cake.People saying they received slanted side cake pans obviously don't bake much. These aren't cake pans April 7, 2017 These are deep pie pans...they are slanted not straight. Sent them back! | 5% I'm disappointed, I had better opinions of Caphalon before purchasing ... August 23, 2017 I've had this set for about 8 months. The coating on the cake pan is peeling off the pan itself. I do not feel safe eating food cooked out of it for fear I'll ingest the lining. I'm disappointed, I had better opinions of Caphalon before purchasing this set. Inferior, doesn't live up to Calphalon name December 15, 2016 After one use (cooking a roast beef) the finish scrubbed off on the roasting pan. I own Calphalon pots but the roasting pan included in this set is workmanship is less than a dollar-store knock-off. Does not live up to the Calphalon brand quality. Poor quality November 25, 2016 Awful quality. 1st time I used the cake pan part of the coating peeled off. Used a cookie sheet to bake bacon and the coating stuck to the bacon in places. It is inexpensive for a set including this many pieces but sometimes you get what you pay for. Would not recommend. Not a Good Buy October 30, 2016 I have purchased Calphalon products before and I absolutely love this cookware. I bought the bakeware from Amazon with the same expectations. However, this dishwasher-safe bakeware comes out of the dishwasher with rust colored water every time, staining all around it. I have never had heard of any Calphalon products doing this, but I am very disappointed with this purchase. Junk. I wish I would have remembered to write ... October 23, 2016 Junk. I wish I would have remembered to write a review sooner. The coating chipped right off after a few uses and they rust very quickly . |
