Strong Batteries
September 18, 2017
These batteries are great. They work exactly as advertised and they have a pretty good shelf life. They powered my flashlight for several hours before running out of power. They lasted me about 4 camping trips before I needed to change it out. Overall great battery and highly recommended.

Impressed by such a small fan. Great value.
October 12, 2017
I have the larger battery operated O2-Cool fans, which have lasted me 9 years and counting (part of my hurricane supplies). I ordered two of these smaller fans because of the low price, $7.99. One of the fans was replaced (quickly) because it only worked in one position, low. I could push the slider into High position, but it acted as a second Off button. The battery cover (holds two D size) is a royal pain to open. I've used one fan every day, approximately 2-3 hours a day--at least. The new batteries lasted 15 days. Not bad. With the central air conditioning running, this fan helps keep me cooler, allowing me to set the thermostat at 74 instead of 73 degrees. Nice, strong breeze. Yes, I get hot easily! Most often, the fan is extremely quiet. Other times, it rattles. When it rattles, I tap it or reposition it on a flat surface, and it's quiet again. I am very pleased with my purchased. Also, very pleased that a replacement fan was sent out within a day or two. At this price, yes, would order again. I don't know why the black fan is sold at a higher price, but I waited for it to go back on sale, then hurried to purchase a second time.
Now even meetings can be more comfortable.
October 9, 2017
I bring it everywhere around the office , also have one at home for power outages and one for travel.I work in an office that has poor circulation and is often hot ( 80 plus ) in summer even with AC on due solar heating through the windows and in winter the perimeter heating puts any office on a sunny day in the 80's as well. I bring this fan to every meeting now ...It is so quiet you can barely hear it on low. At first I felt odd about it but I really was tired of fanning myself with a notepad in an 85 degree conference room with no circulation ... I'm always amazed there are some that it doesn't seem to faze but there many others that are often hot too and I often shared a moment or two of my fan ... Didn't take long before others began showing up with fans as well. I hit a $5 clearance at the local drug store and squirreled away 2 extras...
Great purchase!!!
August 7, 2017
Works perfectly. I used this while "camping" I was sleeping in a mosquito net thing that needed to be covered by something waterproof so I didn't have a breeze or nothing but luckily I had this little fan. I stay on all night (roughly 8 hours. Arrived on time. Light weight. Can be tied to the inside of a tent without bringing it down. The 2 modes worked good for me.. I'm in GA and the humidity is crazy but this really helped around 3 am (I had to go up to the highest mode) and it cooled me right on down..
GREAT FAN FOR A GREAT PRICE!
July 5, 2016
I love this little fan! It works great and the price was AMAZING! I wasn't really expecting much, especially for how cheap this item was. I unscrewed the back and put the batteries in and turned the fan on and was immediately impressed! The amount of air it circulates is very impressive for the fans tiny, compact size. It is also quiet, but produces just enough noise that if you are using it for noise purposes to sleep, it should work fine. It folds down easily and doesn't take up hardly any room when/if you are packing it. I am going to take this fan with me on all of my upcoming trips! I have had this on for over 8 hours total so far, and the batteries are still working so I am not sure how long they last. If you are considering a small, easy to use, easy to transport, battery operated fan, get this one!
Great as baby beach fan
August 20, 2015
These fans are awesome - great value for the price. We bought two for our beach vacation to use in a beach tent with our 4 month old. They worked perfectly. I even bought tons of extra D batteries because I planned run the fans the whole time we were down on the beach. I did run them the whole time we were out for 5 days, and I never had to replace the batteries. Highly recommended.
Small Fan, hurricane like Air!
April 24, 2015
Item was ordered to utilize in RV for those days when AC is not needed and I was impressed with the volume of air this puts out as well as the size of the fan. This item is extremely durable, easily utilized and conserves the battery power considering we used them for 2 days 8 hrs each time and the battery was still good. We continued to use them for 3 more days before the batteries gave out. Thats 2 D Batteries for over 40 hrs. The items were super quiet as well for use at night. The problem was the white noise that we were needing wasnt given off by this fan, it was that quiet.

I love this new bullhorn
October 18, 2017
I love this new bullhorn, but, there was problem with turning this back on after just briefly using it. It was about 2-3 minutes after I turned it on and then when I needed it again, I tried pushing the power button. This time the red light didn't turn on and I couldn't get anything to work. I took out the batteries, rearranged them, tried again and it worked again. Not sure what happened there, but awesome product otherwise.

GOOD PRACTICAL INNOVATION BUT A BIT TOO SMALL
October 30, 2017
I really love the O2-Cool larger version of this battery powered fan; but this is a little too small for the 5 Star rating I gave it. This is still a good fan due to the hard to find battery operated fans that can be portable and actually cool you down. I am not a fan of rechargeable batteries if I have a choice. This company is doing something that I have always wondered why I never saw; they are making fans using D cell batteries that fold and are great for office or quiet air flow from under a desk or on top. But this smaller version is not strong enough for me. I bought two of the larger fans and they are still portable items that are only so powerful. But it’s worth it for a little breeze in an office or situation where a larger fan and outlet are not possible. I hope they can reduce the number of batteries needed and increase the air flow in future models because I have been in need of this type of practical innovation for a long time.
Good Product, but Battery Design Flaw
September 23, 2017
I wish we would have found this before the hurricane because, on those hot and humid nights, it would have helped. It seems to have a good amount of airflow and will go in our hurricane supplies in case we are ever without power again. The only thing I thought was difficult to work with on this fan was trying to get the batteries in their compartment and then trying to pull them out to replace them. I had to get a couple of screwdrivers to dig them back out.
Pleasantly Surprised
August 14, 2016
I was actually very pleasantly surprised by this little portable fan. Based on some reviews, I am not quite sure what people expect. It's a 5 inch battery operated fan. No bells and whistles, no oscillation, just a simple fan. The low setting is basically just going to give you a bit of air movement without a lot of power. The high setting actually did much better than I expected. It pulls a decent amount of air and provides good circulation. The noise level is minimal. I plan on using it for camping and think it will do great both in the tent and/or the camper van. This is also a great idea if you work somewhere that is a bit stuffy (like a retail checkout stand, etc) where you need something small to provide a little breeze. The screw that holds the battery cover in place seems to have baffled quite a few people, but I have had numerous products that use these tiny screws to hold the battery cover. You can find an appropriate screwdriver in eyeglass repair kits, mini emergency kits, etc. While it would be slightly easier if it was a bit further out, it really isn't that hard to manage. The battery life seems pretty good so far. I've had it going on and off for the past 4 days while I was ill and it is going strong. For the price, I think this is a great little product and am very pleased.
Decent, durable portable fan at decent price. Recommend!
July 29, 2016
Bought two of these for camping in the summer. Downside to camping is no A/C and lots of heat and humidity in the South. These look like they will do a good job of helping to keep me cool in the tent. It's big enough to do the job, yet not too big to carry on a road trip. They use two D batteries, which are easy to install. There are two speeds, fast and medium air outlets to go. They seem pretty durable, too. They'll even work at spitting out some cool air on a night or two when power goes out. Looking forward to using them on next camping trip.Overall, a nice handy to go fan at a decent price.
super high humidity
July 28, 2016
I took three of these camping recently in 90+ degree weather. The lows at night were still in the 80's, super high humidity, you get it, really hot! These fans helped a good bit by providing some breeze in the otherwise stagnant heat. As others have mentioned, they are small battery operated fans, so don't expect a tornado of air coming out. While sitting in my camp chair I would hold this little fan in my lap and let it blow some air up to my face, and at night each camper had their own personal fan to help cool them off. It is definitely a personal fan, the breeze won't reach more than one person. I ran them 3 days on the same batteries, so battery life seems good.
Very nice portable fan for my bathroom
May 30, 2016
Very nice portable fan for my bathroom. We really don't have much space for a larger fan and hanging something on the wall would be just too much. This smaller, battery operated fan is just perfect for the area that it's in. It keep me cooler as I flat iron my hair or put make up on. Without this fan, I had to keep my time in the bathroom to a minimum. I would hate putting make up on and then start sweating it off. Now this fan is not near as strong as one of the larger ones but it does keep the air moving in the smaller bathroom that has poor ventilation. Thanks!

Nice fan but...
September 22, 2017
I already have this same fan in beige which I purchased from Amazon (possibly from a private seller in the Amazon Marketplace) quite awhile ago. It's a great little fan but the hinge has broken on one side. I ordered another fan because I wanted a spare in case I have additional problems with the original. I tried to open the battery compartment on the new fan by unscrewing the screw which had been screwed in at an angle. After 15 minutes I was very frustrated so I tried to pry it open. It was extremely difficult so I asked my boyfriend to help me. He finally succeeded but the plastic cover broke in several places so I had to throw the pieces away. The batteries now are in full view. So between the problems I had with the new fan and the hinge breaking on the original fan I would not recommend purchasing it.
Works fine, get rid of the battery door screw asap
August 31, 2017
I haven't had it long, but it seems to work as described after the initial trauma of getting the battery compartment open. I was almost unable to take it on the trip for which I purchased it, because of the placement of the tiny screw in the door of the battery compartment and how close the screw hole is to the main structure of the fan (you'll see). Since the screw has been removed, everything seems to work as described. I've only used it on one overnight trip, and it definitely helped me to sleep without getting hot. If you're looking for something to create white noise, it's a bit too quiet for that. That could be a positive or negative, depending on your needs, but it definitely starts out very quiet.
I think it would be great for using at a desk
July 3, 2017
This fan is TINY. I bought it for using in the camper on our camping trips but discovered it is very quiet and puts out hardly any air on the highest speed. I think it would be great for using at a desk. It did last about 8 hours on the highest speed but wasn't really useful for noise or air.
Was great for a week...
June 6, 2017
Worked okay for about a week - until it just stopped working. It's definitely not the batteries, as they were brand new. I did notice if I tilted it a certain way, it would start to spin for a few seconds, but that was the last bit of movement I got.I was excited for this since I had heard it put out a lot of air and was great at circulating it but even when it was working, I would have to stand 6 inches from it to feel anything. Oh well! Maybe I just got a defective one
Effective but wobbly
September 27, 2016
I ordered the O2COOL 5-Inch Portable Fan with hopes of it being able to keep me cooler at my desk. It was able to do that quite well, but it couldn't do it quietly. The four feet that the fan sits on are uneven (they're like little points on the bottom of the fan, but I don't know what else to call them besides "feet"). This causes a problem when I turn it on because the fan dances around as the weight is shifting from the blades spinning. I thought that it might be how I put the batteries in or something, but I have not been able to adjust it in any way that makes a difference. That being said, this fan does put out a good amount of air and it's pretty affordable. I've been able to prop it up with some wires on my desk, and it keeps the wobble dancing to a minimum (every now and then the weight shifts just right and it'll hop like crazy). I just hope my rig holds up until I get my new fan delivered soon.
You'll want the AC Adapter!
April 30, 2015
I bought two of these thinking they could somehow replace the small electric fan that I use in my bedroom. The less electronics in my 'sleep sanctuary' the better. I had even bought rechargeable batteries + a battery charger thinking I had it made. Uhh....nope. My grand vision failed miserably. These don't have enough juice in them to run full strength through even one night. I'd have to continually be charging and recharging batteries. It's not worth the hassle. What the hell was I thinking buying this model without an AC Adapter?! It's practically useless without it. I've stashed one away for the hot summer night that the power goes out and I'm desperate, and I gifted the other in a Yankee Swap. In general this is a nicely made little fan. But damn, do yourself a favor and get the model with the AC Adapter so that you can plug in if you need to!

Definitely NOT Heavy Duty
November 1, 2017
As soon as these batteries arrived I had serious questions as they did not look like any RayOVac battery I have ever seen in the stores. These are NOT heavy duty batteries. I installed 3 in a motion activated stairwell light and they died in less than 3 months. The previous batteries (Duracell Copper Top) lasted over one year and then I only replaced them as a precaution since they were that old. Save your money, pay a little more and buy something that will last. These will not. Very Disappointed.

You get what you pay for.
August 20, 2017
I received the fan in two days even though it was an add on item. I live in Florida and it's hot! I bought the fan for my son's Saturday afternoon football games. All I can say is you get what you pay for. The fan isn't really powerful. The only time I felt cool was when a breeze helped it out. I will invest in a better fan because this one isn't going to get me through these hot football games.
Cheaply Made
May 8, 2017
The fan is pretty weak and the hinge between the base and fan was too tight. Felt like you almost had to break it to change the angle. Sure enough, fell off the window ledge and broke the first time I used it. Emailed the manufacturer directly and they haven't responded...it has now been a week. Either buy a beefier model, or spend a little more to find another brand.Wish I could get a refund or at least a replacement, but I guess a fall is technically my fault, right? Who could have ever thought to design a portable cordless fan to withstand a 5 ft drop, right?!?
An OK fan but...
May 5, 2017
Let me start off by saying I purchased two fans with similar functions to test them side by side: the O2COOL and the OPOLAR F201 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01DZYUL6A/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_gSodzbY5H1XAHThe O2COOL fan has one plus: it is adjustable so you can tilt it or stand it straight. Other than that, it's pretty unremarkable. It's made of cheap feeling plastic (I am aware that it's not a ridiculously expensive fan but, come on). It is battery operated, which wouldn't be that big of a deal if the batteries required weren't two D sized batteries. Not to mention, they're not even included with the fan. Who has those laying around?? So I bought the batteries (add another $5 to the price of this fan) and the fan power itself wasn't that impressive, even with those two big batteries. It has two speeds, low and high, and like I stated, not impressive simply ok. It's good if you don't want to worry about charging it (like for going camping) but other than that, it's just ok.Now the OPOLAR F201 comes with a rechargeable battery and a USB cord to charge it. You don't have to worry about replacing batteries or running out to get some if you don't have the size it needs. It will last 3-7 hours with one charge depending on the speed you're using. It has 3 speeds and I found that even though it is smaller in size, it delivers more air than the O2COOL. It also has a very convenient LED light on the side that can be used as a flashlight if/when needed. It looks and feels like it's built with more quality materials. The only downside is that it's not adjustable so you can only stand it up in one position. The OPOLAR F201 beat the O2COOL hands down. If I were to recommend a small, portable fan it would be the OPOLAR F201. I will leave the link here again https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01DZYUL6A/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_gSodzbY5H1XAH

I purchased 2 fans to see which one I would like better. I needed something light and portable to carry with me. I bought these 2 fans.OPOLAR Portable Rechargeable Fanhttps://www.amazon.com/dp/B01DZYUL6A/ref=cfb_at_prodpgO2COOL 5-Inch Portable Fanhttps://www.amazon.com/dp/B001AVMSEY/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_0After receiving them the first thing I noticed was the weight which was a big Factor for me as I’m disabled and carrying heavy items doesn’t work well with me. The OPOLAR is much lighter. I still haven’t even put in the batteries yet. So, I opened the boxes and to my surprise the OPOLAR again came with a battery that was light weight. The O2COOL required 2 heavy D batteries. Another Negative for the O2COOL. Not that I have many things that use D batteries I had to have someone go pick me up some. So anyways I got the batteries later that night and begin the Fan test. So, I was checking the power of these 2 fans and to my surprise the much lighter and smaller OPOLAR literally blew the O2COOL away. Now the O2COOL only has a 2-speed motor and the OPOLAR has a 3-speed motor. But even on the second speed the OPOLAR is much stronger and much lighter the winner of these 2 small fans in my opinion is the OPOLAR by far. The OPOLAR is also lighted by a pretty nice blue led. And also has a pretty strong led flashlight on it as well.OPOLAR Portable Rechargeable Fan, Mini USB Fan with Upgraded 2200mAh LG Battery, Personal Cooling for Traveling Hiking Fishing Camping or Desktop, 3 Speeds, with LED Light

As far as a portable fan goes, this fan is decent. What I did not like about this fan is that the actual blades on the fan were hitting the plastic covering so it would make a ticking sound when on. Its purpose worked well however, kept me cool in my tent while traveling.
Meh.. not good for outdoors/tents
July 18, 2016
I purchased these because of the reviews (as I do most things I decide to purchase). I knew I had an upcoming camping trip and figured in AZ anything to help beat the heat and circulate air could not be a bad thing. These are not too loud which is a great thing given that we used them for sleep. Also one set of batteries lasted the entire night (on high) and all through the following day. The wind output was terribly disappointing. I am not exaggerating when I say that I could barely feel the fan though it was 3 inches from my pillow. Chances are in an office or home the wind could be better felt but in a tent or outdoors this poor fan didn't stand a chance. When I got home from my camping trip I gave the fan to my mom because she has more of a need for it on a daily basis. When I asked her about how she likes it she just said it was OK. So.. overall? Would I buy again, no. It didn't fill the purpose I needed it to. It is possible it could work better in a different setup.

Tried another battery from a friend and worked perfect.

Very weak battery, may be it was used. I bought it for using it in a air pump for pumping a air mattress for camping. It just did not have enough power. Tried the same battery in another pump and still did not work. Tried another battery from a friend and worked perfect.

The product broke within the first 2 uses, a 3 week span. Also, not very loud, I can yell louder without it.
The first one they sent me didn't work at all so this is the replacement and it's horrible. Waste of money

Used once won't work the second time. Turns on but no sound. Don't buy it. This is the second one. The first one they sent me didn't work at all so this is the replacement and it's horrible. Waste of money!

Disappointing. Arrived and does not function. Tried TWO sets of batteries. No power light, no sound. Leads me to believe it is defective. Will be returning.

My expectations were extremely low and the megaphone still disappoints. It would have been more impressive if it even caught on fire, then at least the wires would be connected to something, anything. Skip this thing and go with a traffic cone, a rolled up piece of paper better still cup your hands.

Horrible design of a product!
October 15, 2017
Getting the batteries in and out are a mission and the fan hardly blows any air at all. Before I received this in the mail through Amazon, I bought this brand name’s (O2COOL) battery-operated fan with water spray at a wholesale store, and that was a piece of junk with horrible design as well. Sorry but this company just makes awful products, in my book!
Waste of the money I spent!
August 12, 2017
I used this fan exactly once for 10 minutes. A couple of weeks later when I had the need of it I trust to turn it on and nothing happened. Replaced batteries with three different sets of brand new batteries thinking it might be the battery. Still nothing. Sadly the return window closed before I tried it the second time.Sorry I wasted my money!
Sloppy Made, Would Not Work, Junky, No Good
July 13, 2017
My O2 fan arrived broken. The screw securing the battery compartment was jammed in the hole and would no go in or out thus rendering the unit inoperable. Poor quality control by manufacturer and or seller. Piece of crap. Sent it back for refund. Junk.
Incredibly Weak! Save your money
July 11, 2017
Terribly weak, I have no idea how anyone would give this more then one or 2 stars. I have tried 4 diferent brand new batteries and this thing is insanely under powered. It has to be 8 inches from your face to feel any air movement.Waste of money!
Poor quality
July 28, 2016
I'm not sure how to review this right now, so many good reviews are the reason why I just ordered a second one. I ordered 1, and it barely wanted to turn on, after a day or so, it started working great- but now it barely blows, and it almost looks like the fan is loose or something.. amazon refunded me, and I ordered a second one, since it's so cheap of course. - maybe i'll update this review after the second one, but right now- this is very poor quality. I didnt expect it to last forever, but more than 2 weeks for sure.**the second one doesn't work well either- it's like after using the fan for a couple of hours, it looses it's will to turn and you can barely feel any air. returning this one too- and going to look for another option.
I'm not a "fan" of this low-quality item
May 5, 2016
I shouldn't be surprised since it's so cheap, but this is true garbage. Small thin blades that don't spin very fast, so its utility as a fan as limited. At the lowest speed, it has no effect ... literally none. Even if you put your hand right in front of it you won't feel a breeze. On the highest speed, it has a very slight breeze, but you need to be one inch from it to appreciate it. It has no use as a desk fan or bedside fan because if you're more than a few inches from it, you won't feel anything. Spend the extra for a higher-quality product.
