Five Star Reviews: | 61% Works for schlepping a kayak! August 29, 2017 I have a Viper 10.4 kayak (which is about 50lbs) and this strap worked well on it. It's a little cumbersome, but better than dragging the kayak around. Great Paddleboard Strap! February 28, 2017 This paddleboard strap makes it super easy for me to carry my paddleboard to the beach. It has a huge pad on it for your shoulder, and adjusts to fit any size paddleboard. I got one for a friend too. Genious May 28, 2016 Handles my 50 lb plastic paddleboard. Easy to put on and take off at launch. Stores well in deck bag. Great product and easy to use. May 15, 2016 Easy to set up and use. I have the Bote Ahab fishing board which I believe is about 12' long and 2-3' wide and this product works fine. I noticed some feedback that it was hard for shorter people but I am 5'10" and it worked great, even in the wind. The water is about a football field from my house and the Schlepper makes it much easier to get there than trying to manhandle my board, paddle and gear. So far, I'm happy with the purchase. A Must if Carrying board any distance. November 22, 2013 Read the ratings and was concerned with the reviews on size issues. Have no idea why people had problem. Set it up for my board and works GREAT for me at 6'3" and for my wife at 5'6" with no additional adjustments. Holds two paddles which is great as I don't have one for my board yet. | 68% Sturdy and Fun for the Whole Family August 25, 2017 This was a gift for my girls birthday a year and a half ago. We were initially concerned about the material but it turned out to be a non-issue. It did dent a small amount on the side where we had it resting on two hanging brackets in the garage for a year but not that badly. It's our first paddle board but we have a plethora of other water toys. Everyone can use it from our 75# 9-year old to my 230# self. We travel with it in our boat. We're careful with it but expect it to hold up for years to come.Picture of Mom giving guidance Love my paddle board April 4, 2017 Love my paddle board! exactly what I expected. great size and light weight. this is not a blow up which is what i wanted! Great Board June 13, 2016 This is a quality SUP, especially for the price. I was concerned about how the soft top would work since I've been on many SUPs, but never one like this, and after taking it out several times, I can say that I actually prefer this material. Like others have mentioned, I did notice that the material dented slightly from the straps after I put it on my roof, but the indentations were not permanent. In fact, by the time I got the board off of my car and to the water, the indentations were gone. This board is comfortable to ride, the no slip surface is a really nice feature, and the paddle is high quality. If you're looking for a really nice SUP at a great price, I highly recommend this one! Pretty awesome SUP May 28, 2016 This thing is awesome. A little to cold to hit the water yet in Cleveland but can't wait to paddle to the bars on it. It is huge. Seems to be very stable and the no slip grip is nice. The color and wood grain are amazing and everybody is amazed at the quality. This board will help me continue my quest to live the good life. Good for All Ages April 13, 2016 The new board arrived in a jiffy and it is just like the one I bought last year (different logo- California Board). Just need to attach the rudder and wait for "ice out" to give it a try. It is great to have to so we can paddle side by side with a friend and enjoy nature and conversation. This is the most popular lake toy with the kids and grandkids. Great for the young and not so young. | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Four Star Reviews: | 17% It works good though for along June 30, 2017 I found it easier to just park closer than to schlep the board far enough to need this. It works good though for along hauls Works best for tall people. If you're less than 5'6" may not work. July 27, 2015 Love this only wish I have is that it could get shorter. I have it as small as it will go- I'm 5 feet 6 inches and my board is VERY close to the ground (~6 inches or less). I use it for carrying my board (11.5 feet) across the street to the water and it's quick to clip on and the shoulder strap has nice padding. Quality product June 30, 2014 Purchased the board schlepper a couple weeks ago and have used only briefly but know it will work well long term. We live a block from a local lake and this will be perfect for the trip. Quality is really good, easy to use and it has a paddle attachement. They key is to set it up right the first time (get straps adjusted properly for your height, fit and balance point of the board) then it's ready to go for future uses without messing around. For the price it's a quality product. | 20% Great product! Will float an elephant August 9, 2017 Great product! Will float an elephant. I purchased it for the family for use on a lake. It was easy to use for all skill sets. The adjustable paddle worked well and was easy to adjust. I used the free shipping, which was helpful getting it to Northern Wisconsin. A fun product at a reasonable price. Very nice, but no directions on how to insert the ... June 16, 2016 Very nice, but no directions on how to insert the fin. I have looked at as well as others. Seems like a mystery to everyone. Great buy June 11, 2016 It's a great board but the only thing I didn't like is that it is a little slippery. Recommend buying a grip pad with the purchase of the board but other then that great buy. Five Stars June 2, 2016 Paddle got stuck after 4th use, now it doesn't extend. Lost fin in shallow rivers, looking for replacement. Makes a good first time board October 7, 2015 Very stable and light. Makes a good first time board. Likely it will not last more than three years due to the nature of the materials used in its construction. Use considerations! August 3, 2015 Foam scuffs easily! I live on a river with rocky shores. The foam this board is made of seems to score very easily on the top and sides... Would probably work better for sandy surfaces....otherwise handles well. Wish I would have gotten one with better protection on the sides and top! | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Three Star Reviews: | 9% I do like that they put the additional Velcro pieces on the ... May 29, 2016 I am 5'4" and about 145 lbs. My board is only about 23 lbs. Carrying the board with this strap is just too awkward for me. I do like that they put the additional Velcro pieces on the straps to hold your paddle. I use the strap to hang the board in the garage, so not a total waste of money. SUP Board Carrying Strap October 3, 2015 I'm 5'7" I could never get this adjusted so my board wasn't dragging. I still had to use the handle on the board to carry my very heavy board. Maybe the key is to practice at home first before you really need it! This carry strap would be best used on larger September 29, 2015 This carry strap would be best used on larger, longer boards. My board is short and very heavy which made using this strap awkward. I will definitely use it for my larger board next summer though. It is sturdy and exactly as described in the product description. Looking for a better solution February 8, 2015 One of the clasps cracked on the first use, it still works, but there stronger clasps would be better. It worked, but a ~1/2 mile hike up hill was still a lot of trouble for my 130lb wife, carrying a 24lb board. I'm looking into wheels now. | 5% Can't honestly review it yet. August 22, 2017 Only had it out for about twenty minutes. Hope to find time to do more then I can evaluate it properly. this should be more like a $300 SUP board August 30, 2016 Probably getting what you pay for, but even at that, this should be more like a $300 SUP board, all in. Took forever to get here and when it did, it was the WRONG one, didn't even get the correct one until months later and missed some really important trips because of it. This is basically spray painted styrofoam. sigh. Better boards out there June 14, 2016 got the 10'8 light wood board.Likes: comfortable, light weight whichs makes it easier to carry, pretty quick in flat water, pretty stable.Dislikes: VERY VERY easy to "dent" or ding and easy to tear the soft top coating. Rudder is flimsy and not retractable so you HAVE to lay the board on its top to keep from damaging it. All together not durable.conclusion: for the same price i could have gotten a more durable hard plastic board. It may be a little heaver but it will hold up over time. I'm so nervous to use this Isle board on the lake thinking it will break. The nose already is dented in where i fell off and hit it with my paddle the first time i took it out.also be careful when using your paddle mine has dings in the side from paddling??? Mixed Emotions June 1, 2016 I would say it's a good board for beginners. I used it 3 times over the weekend in a busy lake and that was the first time I've ever SUP'd, never once fell off. Board seems stable once you find your spot and get used to it. Kinda lags in speed though. My main complaint is quality. There is already a deep indention on the underside and on top are indentions from strapping the board down. For the price there are better boards out there. The board itself was beautiful but it came dented in more than one place May 30, 2016 The board itself was beautiful but it came dented in more than one place. You would expect better quality out of something that expensive. It also really stunk that they wouldn't handle the return of the product. My husband had to drive an hour there and an hour back because we received a damaged product. That is crappy if you ask me! Thankfully we were within driving distance. I only gave 3 stars because the board itself was pretty. I think it would have gotten beaten up real quickly though. It's ok... May 22, 2016 It is not as stable as flatter boards. comfortable surface, but no way to install a cargo net. Pricey for the quality. | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Two Star Reviews: | 7% Disappointed November 29, 2016 Really tough to keep in place and the SUP slides a lot. Pretty disappointed considering how much I paid for it. Two Stars October 6, 2015 I am 5ft and this strap did not adjust enough for me. Had to have tailor shop shorten It's OK for long walks to beach with SUP, ... August 28, 2015 It's OK for long walks to beach with SUP, however it's more agrivating to strap the carrier on it. I find it's easier to just carry my SUP over the sand dunes than bother with strapping it in to carrier. not very helpful August 26, 2015 My friend had one and she seemed to be managing her board better than I was when we were carrying them to the water. I ordered one too. However, my board is about a foot and a half longer than hers and it did not help me with mine at all. My board is easier to manage with the handle that is notched in it. I'm sure for a person of average height it would be fine put if you are of smaller frame March 16, 2015 The picture and everything I read said it wouldn't be an issue for a petite person. I'm 5'1 and well let's just say... It's a challenge. I'm sure for a person of average height it would be fine put if you are of smaller frame, don't waste your money. Not very useful for a 12' SUP August 14, 2014 I purchased the Schlepper to help carry my 12’ SUP. If I strap it over the same shoulder as the arm holding the board, the belt slides off my shoulder. If strapped on the opposite shoulder, it pulls the board too tightly to my body, causing it to rest on my hip, which is very uncomfortable. Also, a 12’ board is heavier than most boards, which results in a sore shoulder with strap impressions. I also own a 10’ SUP, which I feel is easy to carry and a shoulder strap not necessary. I would give it more stars for quality, but only 2 for usefulness. | 2% Easily dents. Not as high quality as i thought ... March 13, 2017 Easily dents. Not as high quality as i thought it would be Very soft and dents easily. September 2, 2016 Not made for heavier riders. Very soft and dents easily. ISLE WOOD FINISH is really shrink wrap plastic over flimsy Styrofoam. August 22, 2016 Let's start by reading the product description. "ISLE 10'8 Wood Finish Soft Top Stand Up Paddle." It is NOT a wood top. Let me save you the mistake of paying a RIDICULOUS amount of money on this product. This is a Styrofoam board. Same stuff that you drink disposable coffee out of. It is the bigger version of the Styrofoam boogie board you get for little kids. You know the ones - Styrofoam interior, cloth on top with a pattern of fish or a rainbow design on one side, usually blue cloth on the bottom. You pay about $10 at the local discount store for the boogie board.Meet the boogie boards big brother. Only instead of cloth on top they shrink wrap plastic. The plastic has a cartoon like print that looks like wood from a distance. Styrofoam. You can dent it with your finger. Easily. It got dented by my fingers on the first time out on it. A run-in in with a rock would destroy it.Two stars really belong with UPS who brought it to the door - easier than having to pick it up and bring it home on the top of my car. It's worth significantly less than what a paid for it. Do NOT waste your time. | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
One Star Reviews: | 6% No returns, will brake quickly if you use it. June 11, 2016 Weak plastic connection screw broke 3rd time I used it and no returns. Broke the first time my son used it - came ... January 20, 2016 Broke the first time my son used it - came apart at the stitching so there was no way to repair/use it. Very disappointing. Awful design - Not for use with a decent board. June 28, 2015 Sorry, but i simply cannot believe that this product has decent reviews..as it is fundamentally flawed1. The latch that closes the loops that go around the board are so close to the sling attachment point that the plastic catch is at an angle across the SUP rails so will mark and wear your board. All logic would dictate that an unprotected latch should be on the front of the board where it would simply lay against the deckpad... if it is to be on the bottom of the board..make it a foot away from the attachment point and give it some chafe protection.2. The webbing *appears* to have a neoprene patch to protect the rail that takes the weight of the boar.. it does, but its only a few inches long and is in a fixed location so whether or not this will help your board is a total crap shoot. So, in summary, if you have a cheap plastic board then its ok..but if you have a decent fiberglass board..avoid like the plagueA total waste of money.. no better than a couple of luggage straps and a laptop bag strap broke 2nd time I used it. April 14, 2015 I love the idea of this product but unfortunately mine broke the second time I used it. Should have asked for refund but I didn't use it until months after I purchased it. sling January 28, 2014 Bought the sling to help carry the board but it was awkward to use and didn't help my back. It hurt my back to get the board in the right pace to use it and it still hurt my back to carry the board | 5% Can't use this without a fin July 12, 2016 The first time I planned to use my board I took the fin out of the package and when trying to install it to board I quickly realized it is not the correct fin. It will not fit. I can't use my board without it, it won't steer. It is a great board for starters but the quality and material seemed ... April 10, 2016 It is a great board for starters but the quality and material seemed to be less than ideal. It is more of a styrofoam material than a hard board. Strapping it in my truck left indentations in the board and the sides where the seams are and they have already started to tear after one use. Spend the extra money and get a polyurethane board. MY BOARD STARTED FALLING APART AFTER ONE SEASON! September 27, 2015 now that I have had this board for a little while, not quite a year yet, sad to say not very pleased that it is coming apart. We did use it regularly during summer last year and just started to use it again this summer. the back end is coming apart and it is taking on water. For the money I would think it would last longer then one season. Will not be purchasing a board like this again and will not recommend it. | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
