My own experience with this product continues to be favorable with regular use. As someone who has struggled with acid reflux for nearly 22 years, I can attest that this product does not generate the fishy reflux that I experienced with so many other types of these products. Remember that we all vary in our responses to foods and supplements so your experience may be different, particularly if you are on concomitant Rx meds.PROS:1. A well-balanced omega-3 supplement enhanced with lemon without the fishy reflux commonly experienced with most fish oil.2. Delivers 690 mg of total omega-3's (EPA, DHA) exceeding the daily recommendation of 500 mg for omega-3 fatty acids.3. Preferred triglycerides form rather than ethyl esters form.4. However, you may wish to consider Nordic Natural's "Ultimate Omega" which offers 64% omega-3 per gel capsule and uses the preferred molecular distillation for purification. The down side of the Ultimate Omega is the price: $50.80 per 180 capsule bottle (Amazon price as of 2.19.2015).2. Consider getting a full blood lipid panel at your next visit to your physician BEFORE committing to taking this product in order to establish your pre-treatment (baseline) levels of triglycerides, total cholesterol, LDL, HDL and HDL:LDL ratio. Do another blood test in 90 days and maintain your regular dietary and exercise habits throughout this interval. This is a more reasonable and somewhat less subjective way to assess the relative effectiveness of the supplement.3. However, when I switched to this pill form I got very itchy and w/i a 2 month period I had a spotty rash on my leg. My doc said that sometimes certain fish oils will cause this reaction. I stopped used this product and I was fine. I assume, it is the mix of what type of fish oil they use, or perhaps the concentration. I am now using another brand and I have had no issues. Nordic is a good brand, just something is this blend was not good for me. just a heads up. my problem with this itemAugust 15, 2013 No where on the description of this item does it say "consult with your physician if you are allergic to iodine". I cannot use it because I am allergic and have an anaphylaxis reaction. So here it sits in my house. I should return it but haven't gotten that far as of yet.
