She uses regular gold balls in it and has had no problems at all. At full swing this thing didn't go anywhere! For sure a good deal. The chipping net is a little EH....but she still uses it. The only complaint that I have is that someone not as handy as myself may have trouble with the setup of the larger net, especially if they were to lose the instructions. Initally the item worked great but within 6 months (Jan - Feb 2015) one of the support poles broke and the front side netting will not support itself. Hence the product is totally worthless. I have tried to contact the the seller but will not return telephone calls nor an email asking to purchase a replacement support pole. I would not purchase this item again if it were free. Great for the money...June 30, 2014 The item does assemble easily but, we get some winds here in Afghanistan and it is difficult to keep it standing. | Low quality netDecember 17, 2016 Very easy to blow a hole through the net with a driver. I used it for a couple weeks before I put the first hole in it. Also, over time some of the stitching came loose around the nylon channels the poles go through. There are much better quality nets available out there for a few bucks more. cannot be used in moderate winds. and in texas ...November 12, 2016 cannot be used in moderate winds. and in texas it's always windy. rubber tee ripped off after hitting about 10 balls. the one i gave my son had one pole to break in moderate winds, 15 to 20 mph winds. so...........soOctober 30, 2016 its not the easiest to set up for a single person . the mat and tee are of poor quality . the tee broke after just 5 doz hits. switched to the foam balls to try and protect the net from tearing.
