Five Star Reviews: | 25% Long-term solution May 26, 2016 When I moved into my new apartment, it was INFESTED. I'm talking 40+ roaches killed daily. We keep the place very clean, called professionals, and used all the major home remedies (I recommend diatomaceous of the earth - it's a miracle for killing anything with exoskeletons: roaches, bedbugs, etc. BUT is safe for mammals: we use it in our cupboards, next to food, and along the baseboards, even with a dog in the house). Even with these steps, we still had roaches. A week with this thing and the ROACHES WERE GONE! I can't say for certain it's effective on other pests, as we've never had them, but perhaps we've never had them because of this gizmo. 8 months later and we still haven't had roaches or other pests! especially because I try my best to keep my apartment very clean January 2, 2016 I bought this product at the recommendation of my mother who purchased one for use in her apartment in Japan. I never really had much of a problem with pests; but all of a sudden, I was seeing them practically every single day. I was at my wits end, especially because I try my best to keep my apartment very clean. However, when one lives in a large building, the habits of your neighbors can often become your problem. Needless to say, the product worked beautifully. I live in a 1 bedroom apartment and I purchased three iCookers to spread throughout my apartment; nonetheless, I have only used one and it was worked perfectly. Initially, I did see a few more pests; however, after a week or two I no longer see any. There is the occasional one here or there, but the bulk of my problems have been solved. I am so pleased and I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking to put a halt to any bug or pests problems in their home. Amazing!!! I've tried a lot of these electronic mosquito repellents and I am aware that you need to keep these little guys "ON" for close to a week to see the difference though. After a week of usage, I can say that we're starting to see a clear difference in terms of mosquito's.PS: I've sent a couple back home to India and gotten word that these are working really great. The only con is that we needed a converter to convert the power connectors from US style to Indian style. Also, I sourced this one because it runs at 220v too. No more bugs for this girl. July 22, 2015 I decided to purchase two different kinds of plug in bug controllers just to be safe and I wanted one in every room in the house. This was my second choice but by no means the is it second best. From the first day I have found dead bugs. Because I leave my door open for my kitties to watch outdoors I was getting several mosquitoes a night and they just love me. I have not seen, felt or heard any since I started using these. Now I'm not in the jungle or swampland infested with bugs, in CA where if you hold the front door open to long enough , you might get a skeeter in your room to harass YOU and not your wife all night long!!!!!! So I was fed up and got this lamp. I would also go into the garage at night and turn on the light and always see mosquitos or moths flying around. I hung this lamp at the entrance to the garage door that leads to the front yard and 8ft from the front door of the house. It has been on 24-7 for the last month or so. Haven't had a mosquito in the house and none in the garage. I figured if I hung it in a 10ft sq radius of the front door and at the entrance of the garage I might solve this issue. Seems like its working October 17, 2015 The instructions say this takes 3 weeks to work, not to use baits or anything that would attract the critters. It also says it will not penetrate heavy furniture or walls. I bought this after I saw a mouse on my kitchen table. It is in an outlet in the kitchen. I have a straight through row home. I saw a couple of droppings on my second floor after the first week. I also saw a roach. It has now been past the three week point and I haven't seen any mice or any new droppings or any roaches. The clicking sound is annoying to me, but way better than critters. Hopefully soon I will stop jumping when I see my own shadow. works for crickets, i think... September 30, 2015 A few days prior me receiving this device, i noticed i had a cricket in the garage that makes noises at night. First night i had the device and i put it in the garage. Checked a few hours later and cricket still making noises. On 2nd night, cricket still making noises. On 3rd night on, no more cricket noises.... I would definitely recommend this to family/friends. ICooker Pest Control Repellent July 24, 2015 I purchased 3 of these repellents for roaches. Somehow all of them were defective - one only had the red light on, the other only had the yellow light on and the 3rd has NO red light on but the yellow and green blink off an on and suprisingly it got the roaches active and moving about within an hour -- how much more effective would it be if was fully working. Saw a couuple of roaches this morning -- so I am hoping it is working and getting the roaches to clear out. Will order more and return the defective ones once I get a new shipment. Will give you progress in a week or so. Seems to do the job as expected. October 17, 2015 This product worked well on the mice and ants, but I mainly bought it because it is advertised to get rid of cockroaches, which have been a serious problem since I moved to this house. However, every time I think the cockroach problem has been overcome, a new batch of fully grown ones appear. I have seven of the iCookers throughout the house. I just don't know whether this gadget works. September 10, 2015 I don't know if this thing works. We still have ants, spiders and geckos. Works Fine, Not for my yard July 13, 2015 I ordered two of these, one for front porch and one for back. They seem to be working, almost too well. I did seem to notice a decrease in the flies and mosquitoes. I did not notice a drop in the stinging bugs (wasps) and actually started seeing more yellow jackets. Got stung twice sitting on my back porch with this plugged in. I notice my dog acting somewhat odd, crazy like. and the birds and squirrels in yard 30-40ft away at the feeders were gone. I used to have one that you could set the levels on, and it did well. This one is plug and play and doesn't seem to be a fit for me.The product worked fine, and was easy to operate. September 26, 2017 Purchased this for inside use and to test out their products before purchasing the larger acre size. I put a piece of yellow bug paper in the bottom to prevent the smaller gnats and fruit flies from escaping. They do fit right through the mesh holes. So far it has been great, capturing all sorts of insects, including numerous mosquitoes. Why the 3 stars, well the power adaper that plugs into the wall socket gets very hot, to the point of smelling like burnt rubber. This causes the fan to slow, than speed back up, and I mean very slow, no suction produced. If I unplug and let cool, it works fine for hours. Also after extended use, the fan begins to loudly vibrate, much louder than normal. Will be contacting the company and hope they honor their warranty. Will update my review if I hear anything back. I bought for when I visit my grandparents in Trinidad and Tobago. There's no ac here so they just open the windows and doors for an island breeze. Though my grandmother did drop it once. September 19, 2015 This product is effective at keeping roaches and insects away, but it almost never functions properly. The first few days I received it, it was fine every time I checked on it, but starting the 3rd day or so only the red light turns on, the yellow and green flashing lights that show the device is working properly just die, and as soon as they do I notice the roaches coming back. I have to unplug it and plug it back for it to work, sometimes 4 to 5 times in a row before it does, and it works for a while but then goes off again. Lately I feel like it stops working as soon as I turn my back. Bottom line is this product is NOT reliable. I'm looking into getting the same type of device but from another manufacturer.
