An Oldie and Goodie
March 2, 2017
After feeding TOTW to my cat for 5 yrs I moved to a location that didn't have any stores nearby that carried it. I went through several other brands from local stores trying to find one that was healthy, the cat liked, and didn't make us go broke. I finally gave up and ordered TOTW off Amazon. Just got my bag and seeing him dig right in made me know I made the right choice!FIY, my cat does not seem to like kibble that is salmon flavored but seems ok with the venison and salmon. I believe the other is just fish and he didn't seem too crazy last time I tried it.
Happy, healthy kitties!
July 27, 2016
With 42% protein, this is a great, lower-cost high quality cat food for cats with dietary sensitivities or other restrictions. My three cats, two of whom were brothers (one recently passed) with similar chronic stomach issues, have successfully been on this food for years. While it still has chicken and fish "meal," in it, it *does* also contain high-grade animal protein in a larger quantity than other foods at this price point. The fish meal is also much lower down the list of ingredients (the further down the list an item is, the less of it there is in the food), which is great because fish meal often contains the organs of fish, and therefore has greater potential for mercury. Just like with people, small amounts of mercury aren't an issue, but even small amounts can be irritating to a sensitive kitty tummy. Since the fish meal is listed lower than the high quality salmon, my kitties get to enjoy the flavor of fish white I can rest assured that of the fish inside, there is more high-quality fish than not.Furthermore, my cats are all healthy, have glossy coats, and high activity level (including the elderly, 15+ year old cat) on this food. They are excited to eat it, and while the younger cat has gained weight on the food, its because he's a chow-hound and would eat the entire bag in one sitting if I let him. The fact that the food is appetizing enough that he'll dive into it like Scrooge McDuck in a pile of gold says a lot. :)As an added bonus, their eliminations (both #1 and #2) are very low odor! So, overall, there may be some other cat foods out there that are even healthier, but you'd be paying an arm and a leg more. For the price, there's nothing better out there as far as dry kibble goes. :)
Great Choice For Cat Food
November 14, 2015
I ended up switching over to this stuff because I had moved my cat outside and he'd started losing a considerable amount of weight just due to the extra activity. Originally I'd been using Science Diet, and I was simply looking for a fattened up version for "active" cats, but in the midst of that research I found out that multiple sources cited Science DIet as being full of filler, and not overly nutritional to begin with. I ran through what they had reviewed positively and came across this.I found this to be very affordable, more natural and nutritous, but I also really like the idea that they build the pellets around a flavor group that would appear in a similar geographic area. My cat certainly hasn't disagreed.
My cat's favorite dry.
August 3, 2015
My cat eats this well. Small pieces and this is her second bag. She maintains lean body and her fur is this thick and shiny. She was overweight and hungry all the time on another brand. I am happy with this and she is too. She is a fish lover and consistently eats this flavor. I have senior dogs on this brand and they are doing very well. I prefer grain free food for all.
the very best for your cat.. hands down

Cats love it.
September 17, 2017
Our cats love this food, having started with the kitten formula and having graduated to the adult. We love that it's grain free as it's easier on our little guys' stomachs, and they seem to love the taste. The 10 pound bag is just the right size for us as it perfectly fills up the hopper in our automatic feeder. The price is right with subscribe and save as well!
Excellent food for cats!
January 21, 2017
This food is one of the best on the market for cats. It is high protein, grain free, meat based food and (because cats are carnivores) is great for cats. My two cats love this food and have been very healthy while on it .My cats used to throw up frequently on their old food but ever since switching to this food, they hardly ever throw up! We also add a probiotic to prevent vomiting flare ups Vitapet Probiotic Powder Blend For Dogs and Cats with 5 Billion CFU Per Serving. It seems to help the intestinal track of my cats. The stools seem better well formed. I got it at the suggestion of my vet for blood in the stools of my cat, and this product seems to have at least diminished the amount of blood I have seen.
My two cats who were on Wellness instantly loved it!
October 23, 2016
While looking for the better solution for the litter, I stumbled upon this dry food and just gave it a try. Our two cats who have been on Wellness grain free for a long time loved it right away. I did not even need to mix them to get them familiarized.. They started digging in as soon as I filled their bowls!Being cheaper than Wellness, grain-free, no bi-products, and now that my cats like it, I think I am going to stick to this one until I find a better one!
This is great cat food
August 16, 2016
This is great cat food. I switched to this after getting those nasty little Grain Weevils in my poor Emma's old food, Even though it was stored in an air tight container, It was gross. This food is 100% grain free so I am not worried about those pesky little bugs anymore. Plus she likes it. I was worried she was not going to eat it as some cats are fickle about switching food, she eats it. So we're both happy! All paws in on this!
Quality Grain-Free Diet
August 6, 2016
Our Siamese and our Oriental Shorthair love this food and it has helped them attain and maintain ideal weight, glossy coats, and lots of energy. We discovered the benefits of grain-free cat food when we were dealing with a chronically ill Bengal rescue cat, so when we adopted these two young cats from a shelter, it was a natural choice. The Oriental, in particular, had a thin and patchy coat when we got him, and now he looks beautiful. I would recommend it to anyone in search of a better diet for their pets.
Using for ferret food & it is excellent.
June 22, 2016
I wish this food was way more affordable so I can feed it to all my dogs and my cats, but sadly I cannot afford that right now. However, this food is great. I use it for my ferrets after the lady at the ferret rescue center I adopted two of my three ferrets from recommended this food, the more crazy expensive epigen food, or the marshall's chicken selects food. Using anything else, including Zupreem, those walmart or petco ferret foods, or even the regular Marshalls food without the chicken selects on it is awful for your ferrets, so I opted for this food since it is more affordable than the epigen one. That said, I switched my ferrets from the chicken selects one from Marshall's to this one and within the week, I saw a big change not only in their energy levels but also their poop. I did some research online beforehand and compared various foods to this one, and I saw that this one was the one with the best ingredients. I also learned that the first ingredient listed, for example if it says chicken first under ingredients, that means that there is more chicken in the food than anything else. Looking around, I've seen that a lot of dog and cat food has CORN or POULTRY MIX or words like that that are NO BUENO, i.e. NOT GOOD at all for your pet. That means most of the food is full of fillers, not actual meat or chicken that your dogs/cats/and ESPECIALLY ferrets need. Ferrets are very carnivorous so I am thrilled I can give them this good quality food and not break my wallet, even though it is too pricey to feed to my cats/dogs.Back to the noticeable changes, their poop became slightly smaller and a better consistency, which means they are digesting more of their food, especially compared to how much and how often they would poop on the Marshall's ferret food diet. They also started playing and "dooking" or laughing and running more often about a month or so after I made the switch. Before they would play but they would sleep most of the time and seemed more lethargic than now. I am never going back to anything but this for my ferret food!

Good healthy food that cats will eat!
October 3, 2017
I have a cat who is a kibble addict. The quality of this food is sufficient that I'm not worried about her health, especially since she is a heavy water drinker. The other cat loves wet food but will eat this if he has to, albeit a bit grumpily. There is no other health food type of kibble that either will eat, so I am very pleased to have this. If you read the ingredients of some of the cheaper brands you will shocked to find out that there is NO meat in them although the description is very crafty about insinuating that there is! A bit like congressional bills...Since these poor cats can't complain I'm vigilant about their food. Taste of the Wild is good for them.
Times are Hard
March 10, 2017
Times are hard so I was looking for a more economical dry food for my cats, reviews were positive for Taste of Wild. The price was cheaper than what i was buying at Petco (Blue Buff Wilderness) and it's 15/16 lbs. My cats took to the food no problem, no change in litter box smell and my cats seem satisfied. I should have bought 3 or 4 bags when they were $27. For the price and amount of food this is a good deal and the ingredients are pretty good also
My New Cat Licks His Lips for This Food!
January 26, 2016
Just got my cat a few days ago so this is still a fairly new thing. He's 5 years old and 10 lbs. Once he adjusted to being in our home, he took to this food right away. I think it's better quality than the one the shelter was using. He licks his lips when it comes out. :) I like that it has a lot of real meat in it and less fillers. The smaller kibble size is better for digestion too and would work nicely in a food/treat puzzle or game. Pharnsworth likes to chase the pieces of kibble if I roll them across the floor for a game. :) Minus one star because it still has a lot of vegetable matter in it that cats really don't need. But way less than other cat foods, so yay! And the price on Amazon is much better than in pet stores, so double yay!I'll update my review if anything changes.
Nobody really knows

Raw? Freeze-dried? Store bought? Canned? The jury is always out on what food is best for your cat.Personally, my two 10 year old cats been on this food for almost a year. You can definitely tell that there's more fatty acids, because one of them has developed oily fur. Apart from aesthetics, it seems that she is healthier.I'm not really sure why you'd need cranberries, and it seems like there is some debate on the other ingredients.. specifically if they're really needed. There's talk that some ingredients could also be even harmful for them. If anyone could let me know what what we've all decided on, I'd appreciate it.

May 25, 2015
Our cat enjoys the food just fine, and I like the high protein content and grain-free formula. My only complaint - and maybe this is odd - is that my cat seems to have a dirty, gross butt while she's on this food. I'm assuming her waste is a little more loose, as it gets caught in the fur, and when she sits on something after using the litter box it leaves a gross little splooch, like the most horrible lipstick mark in the world. So you can meditate on that for a while.I would buy this food all the time if it weren't for that. I'm looking for something else right now.
Shiny coats in one month
March 24, 2015
Got this food in a different flavor a month ago. My cats are very picky and at first there was no interest. So I rushed to get Trout and Salmon flavor as I really wanted them to switch to something healthy. Then in a day or so, since I wasn't giving them their regular food, I saw one of them nibbling from the plate. One cat had a soft stool. I kept giving them their favorite can food at the same time as I saw one cat started loosing weight. The new dry food was available all the time and I saw that its amount in the bowl was SLOWLY diminishing. After a month of them consuming this dry food (even though in small amounts as they never got super excited about it) I noticed that their skin condition improved and their dull coats became beautiful and shiny. The new flavor (Trout and Salmon) didn't make them super excited either. But since they prefer dry food and have no other choice they eat it. I'm giving this product 4 stars. Even though cats got shiny coats, this food is a bit expensive and none of my 3 cats really got very excited about either of 2 available flavors.

Finicky cat. Sick, overweight cat. Doctor prescribed a high protein diet....wanted us to buy the very expensive prescription food found in vet offices. That was not an option for us and found this as an alternative. Cat likes it. Cat is doing well on it and has even lost weight using controlled portions!

October 2, 2016
Our cat is a spoiled feline so we like to make sure he is eating well. He is an indoor/outdoor cat and quite the mouser, but he prefers to play with his catch and eat the cat food. I think that says a lot about this product. We will continue to buy this as long as we have our furry little friend. If this review was helpful please click that it was!

Less Hairballs = Happy Cat Mom
August 3, 2015
Overall great cat food. Sure, the cats don't love it as much as the cheap $5 bags but they learn to love that their Mom is trying to feed them better. We have 5 cats and go through a bag of this a month (along with 2 cans of soft food a day). They didn't complain about this food when we made the switch to this and seem to enjoy it. Ever since starting this food I've seen a large decrease in them throwing up. We have 2 Maine coons and 1 Persian so they are furry little buggers but they hardly throw up now. I will keep feeding them this.Only negative is that I was recommended this food for soft stool in one of our cats abut unfortuntely this food didn't solve it.
Cat loves it, wallet not so much
July 28, 2014
I give it only a 4 because it makes me sad to spend $40 on cat food, but it has been good for my cat though. After doing a little research and learning how bad some foods are with corn/wheat fillers I took a look at my old food and its first ingredient was corn and it made up almost 40% of the food. It started to make sense why my cat was obese even though (quantity wise) she was not eating all that much. For the last few months I have put my overweight kitty on the catkins diet with this food. She loves it and is finally dropping weight (almost able to lick her own butt again so I don't have to keep cleaning it for her!). Only problem I have with it is the other 2 cats in the house want to eat her food more than their own.

High protein and quality, but my cat did not like it
September 15, 2017
After reading raving reviews about this product, I decided to give it a try. I noticed that this cat food had a higher protein content, so I thought it would be better than the food my cat was currently eating. My cat got used to it very quickly, but she started to eat less and less of it. She was also asking for more wet food and preferred to eat the wet food instead of Taste of the Wild. In short, my cat did not like this food that much, so I decided to go back to a brand she was used to and liked more.
You Decide...
July 21, 2017
Taste of the Wild seems to be fairly well-tolerated by two older male kitties who are used to eating the original Orijen for years. They vomit more, and their fur is not as lustrous, not their spirits as active and enthusiastic.Other than that, they are fine with Taste of the Wild. I wanted them to have the best of foods, since we cannot afford veterinarians, which were unnecessary with Orijen. The new Orijen is probably better than Taste of the Wild, but for both tell me, please: When was the last time you caught your cat munching away on sweet potatoes or blueberries? In the wild, male cats choose 5 or so rats/birds a day, and ingest only the vegetable/fruits/berries eaten by those creatures on which they prey, which isn't much. I thank Amazon for carrying a wide range for us to choose from. And you cannot beat the delivery time!
It was recommended for cats who've been exposed to toxic mold
February 14, 2017
My cat loves it but I found out it has POTATOES in it. It was recommended for cats who've been exposed to toxic mold, but it was a mistake. He developed a fungus and has been losing hair especially noticeable above where eyebrows would be up to ears. Inner ear hair gone! :(
Raised price and $11 shipping added
January 17, 2017
My cats love this food. After chicken meal the following ingredients are peas, sweet potatoes, chicken fat, pea protein and potato protein. It is grain free but it isn't vegetable free and cats typically don't digest veggies very well. I bought this because it's price was right and free shipping under prime. Amazon increased to price to over $30.00 and added shipping of another $11+. This puts the product higher than the better "Wellness" brand so I purchased that instead.

May 12, 2016
Just got the bag yesterday trying it out hoping for good results with three cats and I just put them on it hopefully it helps with my one cat who seems to pee a lot but it seems to get hard and all three of their poops smell bad to the point u wanna die that strong. Been trying a lot of different brands to wear all three cats can be on it and enjoy it. They are different sizes and brands and ages so if I can find something that they all like I'm down for it. Just been getting mixed reviews and having ppl tell me I'm stuipd for changing food well I hope this works so I won't have to keep changing foods. Tried wellness, fromm, true blue and some generic food and one cat worked his away round foods and the female would throw up. The younger kitten eats anything I put in front of him lol
Change in formula? Cat refuses to eat it after ordering a second time..
November 26, 2015
I'm not sure if they changed the formula but my cat no longer eats this unless mixed in with other cat food.So I bought this stuff in the beginning of the year because what I bought before (Blue buffalo) was twice as expensive at the time. It took a while for my cat to get used to it and actually eat it, but she did and she finished the whole thing.Fast Forward to this month. I bought this cat food again and she didn't touch it at all. I thought she was just being picky like how most cats are, so I refused to feed her anything else. I cleaned her food and water bowl everyday to make sure that it wasn't the lack of cleanliness that was keeping her from eating. After a few days, I would hear her in the distance eat a couple pieces here and there, basically forcing herself to eat it. I was thinking if she was sick or not, but her mood and energy didn't change at all. So I saw that Purina had some natural food that was one of the bestsellers here on Amazon. I ordered that and she ate the entire bowl.I still have a 15LB bag of cat food to get rid of though, so I mixed this one and the Purina together. And hallelujah she eats it!

Cat became lethargic and his coat is dull
October 31, 2016
I bought this for my large, overweight cat because I thought the ingredients looked healthier than the Hills Science Diet Perfect Weight that he had been eating for several months. He's almost through the 15 lb bag and I'm switching him back to the Science Diet. He's been extremely lethargic and his coat is dull. He's not the same happy, energetic cat anymore. Maybe the Blue Buffalo doesn't have enough of the vitamins that he needs.
My cats prefer the junk food
September 9, 2015
My outside cats prefer Friskies?? I mainly bought for my 15 yo cat after I learned about the protein in cat food coming from things like leather and unmentionables which causes health deficiencies over time (~and it's over time). I introduced it by mixing it in their regular old Friskies but found they would eat all the Friskies and leave the little pieces of Wilderness outside of the bowl. lol! It was actually a real spectacle to watch. They took mouthfuls of food, emptied it beside the bowl, then sifted through it to make sure they wouldn't eat the Wilderness catfood. Who knew cats prefered corn, leather and unmentionable parts to the "healthy" stuff?? I guess, they really are like people after all. :)
My cats loved this food, however...
January 29, 2015
It is very very hard little pieces. I wanted to give my cats a better food so I picked this up and they ate it well for a few months. Then I realized one of my 12yo cats was losing weight. I knew she was missing a lot of her little teeth but she still had her back teeth and the vet said she was fine, that we didn't need to put her on soft food. Mmmk, another month goes by and she's lost more weight, down to half her original weight, actually. She had a little belly to start but really wasn't plump. I finally just started buying her soft food and she's started gaining weight again. I also went back to their old brand of food that has pieces that are a bit softer (or less dense I suppose) and easier to break apart. She eats her old food just fine again. I'm not going to bother trying the mature formulas. Everyone is happy the way things are currently.
This stuff didn't work for our cat
March 30, 2012
I have no doubt this product contains quality ingredients, and for many cats it might be a key to good health and nutrition. We were looking for a high-quality grain-free food, and our cat wasn't able to digest this well at all. She seemed to like the taste of it just fine, certainly never ate less of it than other foods, but it gave her diarrhea which persisted even when we cut the food down to a 50/50 mix with her old food. As soon as we switched her to a different food, a more conventional healthy weight loss formula, the problem went away immediately. I don't mean to imply this will happen with every cat, and I can see there are many good reviews here (which is why we tried it, despite the price being quite a bit higher than our usual cat food), but I thought I should mention our cat's strong reaction. If your cat is sometime "iffy" with new foods, you might consider purchasing a smaller quantity of this first to make sure they can digest it OK.

My cats generally enjoy Taste of the Wild - Blue Buffalo. But not THIS particular flavor.
August 26, 2017
Let me state upfront that my cats (I have 12) love Taste of the Wild - Blue Buffalo products. But not this one. They will leave it until they absolutely have nothing else to eat, and even then they'll just nibble.I don't know if it's just this flavor, or a bad batch. But, I'll pass on this one.

This is my Cat's vote, not mine. At first they ate but did not exhibit much enthusiasm. Finally they (2 cats) would leave 1/2 the serving empty until next feeding time. A sure vote that they are not crazy about this food.I kept in a tightly sealed container so I don't think it became stale. I've reverted to a Purina brand-X that they finish immediately, then look for more.

September 10, 2016
I typically buy Royal Canine brand cat food which is expensive. I chose this brand based on the reviews and the high quality ingredients. I tried introducing the food slowly by adding 10% of taste of the wild to my cats royal canine. My cat sniffed at the food then looked at me as to say what the heck is going on here.I figured my cat would get used to it. At the next feeding time, I go to refill my cat's bowl and noticed the royal canine gone and taste of the wild still in the bowl. The following week I increased the portion of taste of the wild. I still had the same result. At the next feeding, I fill his bowl with taste of the wild to see what would happen. Well my cat didn't eat. He took his paw and smashed the bowl away with his paw as if to say get this junk out of my face.I donated the contents of the bag to a local animal shelter and brought kitty along for the ride. He tried to stay as far away from the bag as possible. I put him on the harness and we walked into the shelter, and they took our donation of taste of the wild and some cans of expensive wet food that my cat would eat for a week then stop. I called them up to follow up on taste of the wild and they admitted that it took the adult cats some time to get used to it. The younger cats were more accepting of it.

I fed this to my cat for 3 years with no issues. All of a sudden, she started vomiting and getting UTI's. I would switch her to a freeze-dried cat food until symptoms went away and then switch her back to the TOTW. This cycle occurred 3 times until I realized it was the TOTW causing her symptoms. I have since been feeding the freeze-dried cat food only. She has had no problems since. I think something may have changed in the formula :(

Ive just come from my Vet, who urged me not to continue with grain free cat foods, but especially not this one. It's been a frequent problem in cats, encouraging urinary tract issues, which is about the last issue you want to have with your cat. I could elaborate, but I'm not an expert in the field, and would just urge potential users to do your research before choosing this brand in particular, and grain free cat foods in general.

This food was recommended from my vet for another cat I had that broke out from we did not know what the vet thought she was allergic to fleas. I had this cat on Royal Canine until they added soy to it and she did very well. But when they added soy as one of the main ingrediants I stopped buy that and put her on this. But now I bought a big bag and she broke out all over with hives. So guess I will donate this to the kitty shelter and look for a new food. I feel so bad for her. But I put coconut oil on her hives and they went away and she loves coconut oil. Since it is suppose to be good for losing weight and she is a big fat black cat we ;probably are killing two birds with one stone. I am going to talk to the vet but I think I will put her on canned food or a raw food diet.

October 14, 2016
Over the course of the three weeks I fed this to my cats, one seemed fine but the other had issues. The cat that had issues stopped eating, mostly sat on a cozy chair and would not move around much. After a couple days of this, she started vomiting bile. After taking her to the vet once for a blood test (result: normal) we were told to take her home for a couple of days. Two days later we took her back for an ultrasound (showed air bubble in digestive system) and an exray (normal) the vet recommended a new food. She has since enjoyed the switch and is doing well.
Made Cats Start Throwing Up
August 1, 2016
After being on this food for a few days both of my cats started throwing up. Both of them did it several times and the vomit did not contain hairballs but barely-digested food. I figured a higher protein diet would be good for them, but apparently they need more fiber than this food can provide.

High Phosphorous Levels Led to FLUTD in 2 of 4 of Our Cats
January 2, 2015
Unfortunately, after feeding our four cats Blue Buffalo's various cat foods, we discovered that it was at the root of why two of them got FLUTD, requiring emergency vet visits, medications and follow-up vet visits. We have switched to another all-natural good-quality food that's much lower in phosphorous, which was the entire problem. (Unlike what many vets want you to think, you don't need Science Diet k/d at exorbitant prices, and the problem isn't that your cat needs lower protein - for heaven's sake, they're carnivores.) Just be careful, as we didn't know until our vet found out we were feeding them Blue Buffalo, that there've been lots of similar complaints from cat owners who use this food - any of it, not just this particular type. Watch your cats for signs of urinary distress, please, as in male cats it can be especially deadly very quickly if you don't get help for them.
My Cat Was Unable to Digest This Well
May 29, 2013
Before purchasing this, I did my research and read all the glowing reviews here on Amazon about Blue Buffalo Wilderness Cat Food. I have no doubt that this is an excellent cat food, and I was excited to be feeding my cat something with quality ingredients that was grain free. But for some reason, my kitty is the rare one who this didn't work for. He has been eating this for about 6 weeks now, and while I expected that there might be a period of transition, my cat has been unable to adjust well. He eats this food happily enough, but he has been plagued with gas and soft bowels/diarrhea. I adore my sweet kitty boy, but his hygiene is not always the best, and how to say this delicately??? ...well, let's just say his tail is sometimes like paint brush, if you get my drift and he has left paintings on the pillow cases, paintings on the sofa, etc.I am reluctantly going back to his old food. :-(5/31/13: Updated to add that the diarrhea stopped immediately after switching back to his old food (Royal Canin Calorie Control -- prescribed by a veterinarian as he needs to watch his feline physique). Unfortunately, it contains grain and other ingredients that I wish weren't in there, but he doesn't have a problem with it.

Recent batch is toxic.

My vet recommended this dry chow for my cat who has developed a food allergy. First bag was fine; he loved it. Current bag has made him progressively sicker, and he now refuses to eat it. Each time he has eaten it over past 3 weeks he has immediately vomited, often numerous times. I am now stuck with an expensive 15 lb bag of questionable cat food.
Finicky Cats!
July 31, 2016
I bought this for my 2 8 year old cats who are ridiculously picky about what they will and will not eat. Based on the reviews, I really thought that I'd found a healthy cat food that my cats would probably like. I had been feeding them Purina Beyond, having made the switch from Iams a few years ago after getting a sample in the mail and my cats devouring this grain free sample. The problem was that my cats liked the new food TOO much, and both became obese! I had some of the Beyond left, bought this Taste of the Wild 15 lb. bag, and began mixing the two until the Beyond was gone. My cats basically stopped eating once the Beyond was no longer mixed in, and began eating my puppy's food (another 18 week old finicky Toy Poodle; I feed her Science Diet). SO, I bought a small bag of Science Diet for my cats, and began mixing THAT in with the TOTW. They pick out the Science Diet and dump out the rest, again coming to my puppy's food as a back up. I decided to return to Beyond, which I'll mix with this TOTW until it's gone (they seem not to mind eating this TOTW mixed with Beyond because it has a very appealing fish scent that probably makes the whole bowl smell tasty).
Cats started loosing fur and completely stopped eating!
March 19, 2016
This product made my cats start scratching and loosing their fur. I didn't recognize at first as we transitioned the food correctly, but by the time I got to a 75 new / 25 old both of my cats completely stopped eating. I thought going grain free would be something good for them, instead im still working on getting them back to eating normally on their Science Diet food.
My cats hate it, and cleaning up the vomit was no fun for me.
February 21, 2016
My cats do not like this food at all, and they are not usually picky eaters. I even tried introducing it gradually mixed in with other food. One cat picked out the food he liked, dropped and ate it from the floor. The other cat tried to eat around this food but wasn't completely successful. Within a few minutes I was cleaning up cat vomit. Ugh. Will not buy again and do not recommend.
Change in product formulation? Bad experience.

Been using this for about two years for my two older cats. No issues, the cars always ate it. In the last bag, the pellets seemed slightly smaller. Within three days, both cats refused to eat it.Somethings changed for the very worst.I emailed the companies quality control/customer service department on their website one week ago. Still no response. It isn't a question of the cars being finicky. They devoured food from two other brands from old leftover dry food we had sitting around. So, for the time being, don't use it.It's troubling that the company department set up for company service doesn't even respond.Tom H.
This was a great food, until it was changed.

First, let me say that I have ordered this product for over a year now. My cats LOVED it. They lost weight, their coats were looking great, and all around it was the best food I have had them on.But last month that changed. I ordered the same product from the "order again" menu, as always. I ordered it a little early, so I hadn't needed to open it up and pour it into their food container quite yet, as they still had plenty from last month's order. However, when I did finally open the bag and poured it in, I noticed the shape had changed. The kibbles were smaller and darker than before. No big deal to me and I doubted my hungry cats would care either, so long as the product itself was the same. After a week or two of observing their eating habits, this does not appear to be the case. They barely touch it. When I approach the refrigerator, where their treats are, they all come in crying as if they are hungry. Any time I approach their food dish, again, they come running and crying as if I'm finally going to get around to feeding them -- only to find that the bowl is still full from the night before. I've even caught them pawing at the dog's food. None of this is normal and has only happened since trying to feed them the newest bag of this particular food.I've had to substitute with other food from a local store, which has upset their stomachs, but at least they are eating. Change in shape doesn't seem to matter to them, so I can only assume the actual contents of the product has changed enough to turn them off of it. I am very unhappy the food was changed without any notice and am now on the look out for a new one that will be a suitable, permanent replacement.

Great quality ingredients but recipe causes urinary problems in cats
December 19, 2016
Three cats in our family developed struvite crystals in their bladders after about 6 months of eating a mix of this kibble and wet canned food. We switched natures variety instinct grain free kibble and so far so good. The fact that my cats never had issues before eating Blue buffalo, and haven't had any since they stopped, says a lot. Use at your own peril
do not use#!!!! causes bladdrr stones

Gave my cats bladder stones. Threw out remainder and went back to iams. Cats are doing ok now.

Can cause vomiting & diarrhea!!!
October 28, 2016
One of my cats gets violently ill after eating this food. She will vomit the contents of her stomach and then continue with bile afterwards and also has diarrhea. I am not sure what it is in this food that makes her that sick, but when she only eats wet food, she has no issue. This is the only food I've ever given her to make her so sick. She has lost weight and her fur coat isn't as thick as it usually is. This food is absolute trash and the rest will be going into the trash as well.
