Love it.

A great beginner bass. I gifted my old one to my little brother and this one was a budget conscious choice. Fit the bill and came with everything I needed. Awesome bass.
Great guitar!!

I bought it as a gift for my brother and he loved it!! A year has passed and it's working like new.
Nice So Far
January 7, 2016
I just received my new Crescent bass. Since my amp is loaned out, I haven't had a chance to plug it in yet, butI did set it up and play it. It plays well. I like it so far. I'm expecting that it may need some electronics work, but it has a low action, and gets good sustain. The neck is straight, which was one of my big concerns. It is a very good starter to mid skill bass. Well worth the money.

Great guitar for a very cheap price!
February 2, 2014
I was looking for a bass guitar to learn on without breaking the bank and this one definitely fits the bill. It has sturdy volume and tone knobs, good quality strings and tuners that I have found to stay in tune in between playing, and a nice finish on the body and neck. I have played this guitar for approximately 20 hours since I bought it. I would definitely buy this again!
Bought as a birthday gift... it was a major hit!
January 5, 2013
Purchased the Crescent Electric Bass for my daughter for her 18th birthday. She'd been asking for a Bass for quite some time, and after looking, I opted for this product due to the very reasonable price, along with the packaged items that came along with it.Once it was delivered, I looked it over, plugged it in, gave the strings a few plucks, and boy! The sound was fantastic, the quality and workmanship was perfect! I expected it to be damaged during delivery or find some little thing wrong; as has been my luck in the past with other products (not from this vendor); I found not one scratch, not one speck of dust... the Bass was in perfect, unscathed condition. The ear piercing squeals of delight when she opened her gift assured me that "old mom" had done good! Many thanks for such a great product at a very reasonable price. My daughter is truly appreciative of this guitar.

The seller is the reason to buy this starter bass
July 2, 2017
This bass is working out well for my 14 year old. It sounds fine, looks cool and she loves it. You may want to purchase your own bag because the amount one it comes from is super cheap. The best part if this purchase was the seller. They were incredibly responsive, easy to get in touch with and seemed genuinely interested in satisfying the customer. There were shipping issues that was not their fault, but they wanted to make sure they communicated with us and made sure we were happy. A real pleasure of an online purchase.
For those who think it sucks think again
March 10, 2017
So the only issue I had with it was fret buzz, but took it to the music store and they fixed it for $10. For what you pay it's a very good deal. The speaker is actually pretty loud and my case came with a pocket. I would highly recommend if you just want to test the waters
Musican in the making

The bass is beautiful the color is amazing. Tje sound is great and the bass sounds wonderful. The tuner is great and really helps my daughter tell when things are good with her music. This is a great starter kit my daughter love it

Loved it and especially for the price. Would definitely order from them again. It was a solid instrument and everything came with it and had no problems. Good starter
Great for the price!
September 5, 2013
I'm not a bass player, but I bought this to go in my little home studio so whoever comes over can play. This is a Great little bass for the money. I'll probably get better strings for it, but the ones on it tune up and stay in tune. I think it is perfect for what I got it for. If your starting out or just want to add a bass to your stock of music equipment, get it!

June 16, 2016
The bass came about a week after expected, the picks did not look like the ones in the picture (but who cares, lol), and there wasn't that case thingy for the pick that they show in the picture. However, the bass sounds, looks, and feels great. I got four strings, the tuner, the bass, the case, the strings, and the picks. Overall, it's a really great bass and it's pretty cheap. I recommend this bass.()()(oo)(")o(")(")

February 21, 2016
A decent bass. It works well and has lasted a long time, not many issues. The bass came with an enormous action (space between the strings and the fret board), but it was easy adjusted. The main problem is that the A string likes to pop up and to the left of the bridge. Although, again, this is an easily fixed problem, it was annoying for a little while. I even put a capo on the strings to keep it from popping up as a temporary fix. A minor problem is the fact that the head is huge. It's neck heavy, which isn't a big deal. All in all, it's a good guitar.
I have not found anything bad about this bass package
November 9, 2015
The reason for 4 stars is that it is a little neck heavy, but nothing to discourage someone from buying this bass. I read the reviews. Someone said the bass had flaws in workmanship and the gig bag was a flimsy plastic bag. I have not found anything bad about this bass package. I got the transparent blue color to match my Les Paul Jr. guitar, but the color is a different shade of blue, but still looks great. Seems to stay in tune quit well. The tuner works ok. I will get another strap. For the price, this is a great deal. I received this package a week earlier than promised on free standard shipping.
The bass is fun to play
August 11, 2014
The bass is fun to play. I'm just learning the bass. I do wild unorthodox things with it. I'm getting my kicks. It's well worth what I payed and perhaps a little more. A guitar snob would probably puke on it, but I like it. The gig bag was crap and I threw it away. They sent a pick and a strap and a spare high string. There was also a cable which was decent. I am currently playing it through a small battery operated mini-amp, and it sounds surprisingly good. The neck is solid and, I think, weighs more than the body. The body is well finished and pretty. It's usable. Get wild. Abuse it.
For the price it works
March 18, 2014
If your new to bass playing its great, you wont feel sad for giving it a rough time. If your an advance player see before and consider putting a better pickup on it. I will tell you that i you wanna use it on rocksmith you may have some trouble because the realtone cord doesnt pick up the notes too well.
Not Bad For The Price
June 8, 2013
I bought this guitar as a practice guitar. It only cost as much as a couple of packs of new guitar strings. It is built like a Fender P-bass. The sound is pretty good. The guitar is lightweight and the sound is better than I expected. it is perfect for practice sessions. This would be the perfect bass guitar for a beginner. It doesn't cost much, so you don't have to make a crazy investment to try it out. The guitar bag that comes with it is almost worthless. The bag is so thin and cheap that it will tear up on you within the first few days. The tuner that comes with it is pretty nice, but it doesn't come with a battery. Overall, this guitar is well worth the money.

My order was late, why 4 stars. The folks at Crescent acted quickly when we all realized the original order was - lost. Yes, it happens, even with "tracking'", etc. It's here now, all I wanted. Thank you.

Great Starter Kit for a New Bass Player
November 5, 2014
I wanted to learn to play bass, and thought this was a pretty good deal considering everything I needed was there. The bass itself is pretty solid according to my friend who has played guitar fotr years. The carrying case is nice and it has a pocket to carry wires, picks, etc. The tuner does not look like the picture, but I found it very easy to use. It's screen turns green when you have it tuned correctly, which helped me out a lot. The only problem I encountered was the amp. Sometimes it sounds fine, but sometimes it does not pick up the E and A strings very well. I plan on going to a pawn shop to get a new amp. The picks are also very thin, but I use my fingers to play.Overall, I think it is a great starter kit, and I have enjoyed learning to play with it very much over the last few months.
love it
August 29, 2013
Great Price! Great for a beginner. Only down point, the battery was dead on the clip on tuner. Also, there is horrible feed back with the cheap speaker.

Its OK for someone who doesn't really play but wants to experiment and have fun
October 18, 2017
Its OK for someone who doesn't really play but wants to experiment, learn(maybe) and have fun.I wouldn't know good from from not, so take any thing I say about it for what it is.Its fun to play around with (My only real objective) and I can get what sounds like musical notes out of it....I like to play along with songs for fun and it was the right price for what I wanted to do.Just from what I can tell, I DON'T think this would be a good choice for any real student or musician. Just for grins, and to see if I was serious about learning, I went down and tested out some real bass' . A fender Squire for $300 is a basic beginner model, but You can definitely tell a difference. If your serious about learning, invest the 300 bucks minimum and get something MEANT to be a real instrument. (Not saying the Squire is the one, but it seems a reasonable price to begin a real learners journey)BUT for $79 this is a GREAT toy!
You get what you pay for, very basic. Good starter bass.
November 21, 2015
Great starter bass but not for anything else. The strings it came with were not bad and the pick ups werent too bad either. The biggest problem i have with the bass is that the neck is extremely bend and my truss rod is non adjustable. The string height is sooooooo high its impossible to slap bass. Great for finger picking and pick picking. Neck isnt uncomfortable and the frets are surprisingly not sharp at all. Bass is really light and im almost positive its made of plastic or a cheap ass piece off wood. You honest to God get a 100$ package nothing more. This was my first bass and im about to buy my second, (squier V jazz bass or a sterling sub ray 5). If you dont think youll stay with bass for long just pick this up and play with it for a while you wont be disappointed but dont expect anything special its very basic. Strings are buzzy and wayyyyy too high. the bridge doesnt really solve anything cause the neck is too bent and cant be adjusted. All in all you get your moneys worth but dont expect anything special. I think buying a used squier is a better option but thats just me.

very long neck. a lot of space between frets, so with my old stiff fingers was difficult to play. i ended up buying a shorter one, which i can play easier
Not bad - you get what you pay for
November 9, 2015
This product came a bit earlier than expected, a big plus. Some people in the reviews said their order did not come with the tuner; mine actually did, along with a few replacement strings and a couple picks, a couple small Allen wrenches, and a 1/4 inch audio cord. The guitar feels cheap in your hands; It's quite lightweight, so it's easy to handle; the body feels a bit hollow; there were quite a few dings in the body and neck when it arrived, the pick guard actually had a crack in it on the horn, and some parts are rough around the edges; when pulling the audio cord out the guitar, the pick guard lifts up and tries to come free, which I'm afraid may crack or break later on.This is probably not the type of instrument you try painstakingly to keep polished all the time and treat like a baby, it's more like the type of guitar that you attach stickers to, or graffiti with a marker, and you probably wouldn't mind letting a young child play it in case they accidentally drop or mishandle the instrument. The neck is not finished or varnished, it has some sort of very light treatment, so you could actually sand it lightly and then put a thicker finish on, customize the body, or whatever suits your taste. You will most likely need to tune it a bit at the bottom and tighten the strings. Besides a little bit of faint buzzing, there are no complaints with the sound on my part. If you're trying to spend $99 on a real quality bass guitar with excellent sound and a heavy feel to it, I say save your cash for something better because this may disappoint you. If this is a gift for someone who has never played bass and is interested in learning, and you're not trying to shell out a large amount of money to find out the person you bought this for has let it become an abstract art piece collecting dust in a corner, you can't go wrong with this, as it is the best bang for your buck.
Good for a beginner
May 19, 2015
Updated review:I've been playing on this bass for a while and the action is way too high costing $65 to fix and I might as well buy a new one. The pickups came off of the plastic cover they were glued to, but nothing a little super glue couldn't fix. The gig bag fell apart after the third zip. Also the neck dive is insane and I had to put about 5 pounds on the body to balance it. I still recommend this bass to beginners but beware after a few months you might consider buying a more expensive bass.Original review: (5 stars)If your just starting out like me buy this, people said they had to have work done to it but as soon as I opened it up I checked every inch of it for imperfections, but found nothing. The neck wasn't even warped, which is apparently the most common problem. There is literally nothing wrong with the guitar, I highly recommend this to anyone looking to start playing the bass.
An okay bass
March 24, 2014
I bought this bass, two months ago, for my son. It seemed like a decently priced bass. When he plugged it in to his amp, it didn't work. Another problem was that the top string wouldn't stay in the nut. The pickups were messed up, and the bag's zipper broke. We sent it back and got a new one. He is pleased with his new bass. The only problems he has had recently were the screw strap knob tore its way out, and the strap snapped. Other than that, an okay bass.

i got the bass very late.. the shipping wasnt good.! the bass isnt finish.. i guess for its price that's what you can expect. when you play the bass and you slide from one fret to another you will get a cut, cuz the metal thats on the neck of the guitar, the frets were kind of long,...the amplifier came i little later than the bass, the ampli is good..

Good in the begging but not for the long run
October 9, 2016
This is a decent bass but will not be good in the long run. My son started to play bass and this ended up fine at first but he joined a band and the instrument wouldn't be loud enough would have fret buzz and just sound bad I would not recommend this to anyone experienced or looking to join a band
Damaged and has a bad sound
August 22, 2016
The bass came heavily damaged. There was a large dent in the body, along with various scrapes and scratches all over the instrument. The white paint is peeling off in multiple areas. The bass has a very loud twanging sound when you play it. In addition, the tuner that came with it doesn't detect the lower strings. The price is too good to be true; don't expect a playable instrument if you buy this. Drop more cash for a decent bass.
Its 100$, what do you expect?
May 30, 2016
It came broke. Luckily I knew how to fix the pickup. Sounds decent for 100 bucks. Neck isn't the smoothest (therefor not the fastest). Fret markers are on the small side. The stock strings are garbage. The strap is a joke. The tuner is actually good. The gig bag is not going to protect anything. All in All: if you're a beginner and not sure if you really want to play bass or If you want something to be rough, with then this is a good idea.
Meh
April 30, 2015
This guitar is okay for the entry price, but it is not a good guitar. It's neck heavy, which means that whenever you play it the neck dives. To counter this, you always have to be putting pressure on the neck with your left hand, which greatly restricts your ability to play well and fast. The strings are too far above the frets, you have to push them what seems like a great distance in order to push them hard enough to get a good sound out of the fretboard. The pickup has an annoying screw on top, so forget about being able to use it as a thumb rest.Overall, this is just a cheap guitar. If you can afford nothing else, buy it. But if you want a quality guitar that can last you, go for something more expensive.
Cheap garbage. Buy it if you want to break it.
March 6, 2015
Guitar strap ripped during first practice, gigbag ripped open, been transporting it without the bag, and tuner doesn't work.I didn't expect much. LOTS of fretbuzz from the 7th fret up on every string.Needs to be set up but I'm worried it will break.
Moldy Gig Bag and Scratched All Over
April 9, 2014
Shipping was timely and seller was courteous in reply when I contacted with concerns about shipping. However, the actual condition of the instrument was poor. I was expecting a cheap, practice bass, not looking for anything fancy. It feels solid and sounds ok with the usual minor adjustments. So it's ok, I'll keep it around. Other poor reviews I read mostly sounded like shipping issues or someone expecting a higher quality instrument, so I wasn't too worried. I thought I knew what to expect when buying such an inexpensive instrument.Problems I'm not ok with:1. Gig bag: zipper had MOLD on it. Mold. It was moldy.2. The head is beginning to splinter, like it fell more than once. Could have been a shipping incident. I'll just sand it down.3. String nut is cracked, oy vey4. Various scratches and dings all around which I don't mind on a well used instrument, but is just trashy on one you expect to be new. I can't get over the mold issue. Just go to your local music store and give them some business.

Did not come with amp, etc. :(
April 2, 2016
The bass seems all right; however, I did not receive the mini-amp, cable, extra strings and picks listed. Just the guitar, the zippered bag, and the tuner. I'm disappointed, since it took weeks to arrive and I can't really use it yet.
Not a good starter bass
October 24, 2014
Not a good starter bass. The strings are set extremely high. A lot of tweeking needs to be done just to to play it comfortably. No matter how much you rework it, the bass never sounds decent. Amp is equally sub-par. Just spend the money for better equipment. You only will in the end.

Timely delivery; poor quality bass
April 7, 2014
Bass arrived when expected, but the quality is very poor. Some screws weren't all the way in. Body is cracked. Paint was rushed & uneven. Strings broke before they could be tuned the first time. Tolerable beginner bass, but a little more spent on a higher quality guitar would save a lot in the long run.
Ok deal, but not great.
October 2, 2013
The bass itself is fine, but the case broke in the first week, and the tuner never worked. I also had to "fix" the bass bc one of the strings didn't fit properly. I guess you get what you pay for!

Shoddy/uneven product. Cut up my hand. Do not buy cheap for this item.
February 20, 2016
Didn't touch this bass for a few months since it was so cheap. BIG MISTAKE. The underside of the neck is uneven with the metal fret dividers. Literally, every time I play... it gets my left hand up. I'm not exaggerating. The first time I played I didn't realize just what had cut my fingers up. Then, last night... I realized immediately afterward my pointer finger had deep dry scratches all over it (been playing in bands for 20 years, these are not normal 'calluses') . Too late to return now... but I hope Amazon realizes this is a harmful product. Don't know where its manufactured it but there is clearly no quality control.

January 16, 2015
I am a music teacher and teach many instruments, and can't afford everything I want. I wanted a bass guitar for a while. finally ordered one, waited a week and can't even play it because the lowest two strings are not set up right. They pop out over the plastic thing at top. Since I AM NOT a technician, I Have to bring it somewhere in order to even play it!?!?! or exchange it? or return it? My bass is a Stedman Pro. I will probably not risk the exchange, so this company loses my vote forever! I am so super-bummed!
Unplayable
May 6, 2014
I chose this bass due to the price. I play guitar and wanted to try the bass. I should have splurged and gone a bit higher. The guitar came on time. That's about the only decent thing I can say about it. When it arrived, the bag immediately tore. The bridge was mounted so that the bottom two strings wouldn't stay in the nut slots. Which is fine, because the nut cracked after playing it for an hour (pushing the strings back into the slot each time they popped out). After replacing the nut (properly, with a quality nut) the bridge mislocation became so pronounced that the guitar is basically firewood at this point. The bridge and pickups will need to be moved. Not worth it for a $60 guitar. And the strap ripped. Save your money and get a better bass.
What do you expect for the price?
February 2, 2014
Pros: well packaged and delivered promptly. Good looking product.Cons: not a precision instrument. The frets are enough off that the whole bass is impossible to tune properly. The A string would not stay secured in the upper bridge (using a capo to secure it to the bridge helps). The pickups are raised so much that they interfere with strumming. The sound is dull.I purchased the bass only to practice with and do not need it for performance, so it is okay for me. The components seem of good quality. The placement of the tuning pegs seems off, so the E & A strings are not aligned with the neck bridge. The fret placement is another matter. Good try at copying a Fender P bass but the production has faults.

The amplifier in one corner has a very noticeable scratch, the seller sent the bass in a box and another amplifier instead of sending all in one package. While the bass is handmade aesthetically very well detailed. The weight of the bass is not balanced, the neck is heavier than the body. The bass guitar have a sound like a buzz when is conected in the amp.
