Great Quality
August 22, 2016
I originally ordered these for my four cats, as I read that pumpkin seeds had many benefits for feline health. The cats wouldn't eat them whole, and I had no grinder, so I decided that I would eat them. They taste fresh. I haven't yet toasted any of them, as I was surprised to find that I like the taste just as they are. This is a really large package. The seeds are uniform in size with very few broken ones. I have now purchased a grinder but haven't yet ground any to add to the cat food.I did grind some of them to add to sourdough bread and when I tasted them in the bread they were quite good, but I didn't add enough so I only got a taste every now and then. Even if these do not work out for the cats, I will probably buy them again. I want to continue adding them to the bread I bake weekly, and try toasting some with various spices, for a healthy snack. I would most certainly recommend this product.
High quality organic pepita seeds at a great price!
February 15, 2016
I have to make my super sensitive pup homemade dog food, which includes pepita seeds. I try to incorporate as many organic ingredients as I can (like I do for my own well-being). Food To Live makes this much easier for me! The pricing for their organic pepitas shipped to my own door is far less than my driving to the health food store to purchase the same (or lesser quality) product. I actually had turned to Amazon to see about the availability of organic pepitas online, as both of my previous stores discontinued carrying the raw unsalted seeds! In the end I received a better product at a better price.
So good, and the price is excellent too. Thanks for being organic.
November 10, 2015
It can be hard to find organic pumpkin seeds, even in NYC and the price of $8.50 a pound is pretty good. Trader Joes regular non-organic pumpkin seeds are $7.50 a pound, and these are being delivered at lightning speed. I used pumpkin seeds in everything. These are raw, so you can easily roast them with a little salt. I grind them in my nut chopper and put them in my salads. I also make low-carb flax seed and nut crackers and grinding these up and adding them to the crackers is delicious. I really like this brand.
FRESH and YUMMY!
May 5, 2015
The pepitas I ordered arrived promptly and are fresher than all of the other brands I've tried so far.I immediately tore into the box that they were shipped in and opened the bag up to test them out. Food to Live did not disappoint.MUY DELICIOSO! I love these pepitas!Often times, you'll find organic foods are not as large as their GMO and non-organic counterparts. These pepitas are pretty large. Also, very fresh-tasting and a deep green. There is no bio-film taste or texture on the seeds.I especially love that they offer multiple options for buying in bulk and am looking forward to tracking just how long 8 lbs. lasts. In the past it's been a challenge to find pepitas in bulk ..but not as much of a challenge as keeping them around for very long!I have definitely found my source for raw, organic pepitas! :D
Impressive product
October 5, 2014
I was very impressed with the high quality of Food To Live's organic pumpkin seeds. They arrived in a timely manner, and the delicious taste was proof that they were obviously packed when fresh and crisp! I'll definitely continue to purchase products from this company, and highly recommend them to my family and friends who prefer to buy healthy organic foods.
This was a great buy and the seeds are delicious

This was a great buy and the seeds are delicious. I can not eat a lot of salt and these salt free seeds are just what the DR. ordered.

perfect..
June 22, 2016
fresh, raw no salt, perfect...not sure why others put salt & ruin the natural taste of pumpkin seeds which are great for many uses including killing off parasites, healing prostate & swelling, etc. I put them into my cooking & baking too, the children don;t even notice them & I know I'm giving them healthy cookies free from sugar & salt, since I only use honey, spices & a bit of bamboo salt, things I was taught at Shambhala Wellness Center in Kelseyville, CA.
Great for my dog too!
April 24, 2016
These are exactly as described (good). I grind them up, and add a tablespoon to my dog's food every day. It seems to help him and he loves them! The reason I bought the pumpkin seed was as an alternative/supplement to worming. He had very stubborn and hard to get rid of tapeworms. Not only are they supposed to add nutrition, they are rough enough to possibly help scrape parasites off the intestinal walls who are not fully stuck on. Well, my dogs have no worms anymore (after worming too, this won't replace worming), so it may have helped. Whether it helps with worms or not, it's good for the dog, and this bag has lasted for months. Would definitely buy again when I run out.
Good Quality and Taste
November 26, 2015
Very good and nice dark seeds. Better quality thank most although my favorite still is the Natural Healing House Organic Raw Austrian Pumpkin Seeds these are good for smoothies and more. I like the Healing House for just eating as they are more expensive and use these for baking, pesto and more. A good product with a nice rich color to the seeds.
Healthy snack.... good vendor.
January 5, 2015
Delicious and healthy. I combine these with sunflower seeds and sometimes raisins and lightly roast after tossing in salt, olive oil, and sometimes brown sugar. My family loves these. I include them in homemade breads, pancakes, trail mixes, and cookies.
Great snack
January 26, 2014
I bought these for mixing in home made trail mix due to the lack of a whole food store near me I have to go online to find the good stuff. These are fresh, taste great, organic and just really packed with protein and fiber. Loved them and highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a great high nutrient density snack that travels well.

Good product.
I like them a lot
December 14, 2016
I like them a lot. They are a high quality food. I like to just eat them as a snack. A good for you snack. The taste grows on you. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because I have to compare them to mixed nuts with cashews unsalted. Who doesn't like the taste of those. But they are really high in calories. These are lower for sure. Good lower calorie alternative.
Tryed many other RAW Pumpkin seeds these taste very good compared to others.
March 7, 2016
I will buy them again and again. Quality and value in one two pound bag! I put them on salad in yogurt eat them as a snack.Invent your own way to eat them-just eat them. Pumpkin seeds are one of the healthiest seeds you can eat. Love Pumpkin Seeds. Not just saying this for this company..... Only 4 stars because I don't know where they came from? Either way still very good. Once bag is opened it should be kept in fridge.

I love that they are organic
February 12, 2015
I love that they are organic. They taste good. They are a very handy snack to keep in the frig. This is a BIG bag -- bigger than I anticipated -- and will last a very long time.I would recommend this item for a family because it seems a lot for 1 person.I took off 1 star because a small percentage of the seeds are not edible - dry & hard. See photo.
Tasty little pepitas...
November 26, 2014
These are pretty tasty, at a very good price (especially for organic), but you might want to keep an eye for the occasional stray shell fragment. I came across three in the first two cupfuls; they are woody, not hard, not harmful, but annoying (-1 star). Okay for snacking but definitely rinse them in a bowl to float off any debris before using them in recipes.

Taste good. But I wish I didn't have to get them from China. I feel blind in terms of quality control.
Good quality seeds.
November 30, 2015
These are pretty good. They worked fine in a granola recipe I had. I wouldn't order them again because I realized later that they were a little overpriced.
Pretty good tasting seeds
November 26, 2015
Pretty good tasting seeds, but I think I like the salted ones better. The seeds were fresh and truly delivered on the many benefits pumpkin seeds deliver. Fellows these seeds help with testosterone production.......so you do the math on the many benefits :-)
Would buy again
August 18, 2015
This was my first time trying pumpkin seeds and I wasn't disappointed. They are unsalted so it takes some getting used to with the taste but I don't mind. They taste like unsalted sunflower seeds plus they're healthy. I just wish the price would go down

Cheapest I found online. I wanted something organic I found this, but later discovered it was a product of China. It's sketchy but the question is how organic is it?

June 3, 2016
These are okay, but I really like the ones from Nutsonline so much better. They are expensive there, but I think well worth the price.I probably won't order these from this vendor again. They are smaller, just okay.
Nope...not tasty
December 11, 2015
Hey...I tried. Didn't even need a new years resolution to try to eat more Paleo. We cooked these up with some seasoning, but I still didn't like them. They were better than the sunflower seeds, but definitely regretted buying such a huge bag.My journey to discover delicious pumpkin seeds that don't taste like punishment continues.
Ok but not great.
October 19, 2014
I've eaten pumpkin seeds before and loved them. These left something to be desired. If they were available in small quantities I might get them again for variety. But these don't rate high enough to earn a place among the nuts as a regular part of my diet.

The only good thing about these seeds was the amount in the package for the price paid; the fact that they are authentic and a good snack for those with high Blood Pressure. But there is no salt on them. Oh wow,i made a funny!

September 17, 2015
The taste is little bit different than normal seeds but it is a okay taste , and they are little bit bigger than normal. Still i kind of feel like they put some chemical becasue they are make from China. It is very scary that any food is come from China. You never know what they make of. It is "USDA Organic" Label but you can not trust. There is also other brand call " Food to live" same as this make from china and package on US. and they are little bit smaller and taste bit different. Things is there is no other brand that i know of sell unseed... Good Luck...

Seeds or Seedy?
March 6, 2015
First and foremost there is no country of origin on the package. I like to know where my food is grown. The product is labeled "USDA Organic" and certified organic by A Bee Organic. For the price, the pumpkin seeds are far from Grade A. The seeds are small to medium and there are lots of small broken pieces. Perhaps that's why the package states they are pumpkin "kernals" instead of pumpkin seeds. They seem to leave a dusty residue in the dish. I would not buy this brand again.
Not great quality
February 15, 2015
They were very pale in color and most were broken in pieces, not very good quality.
Bitter!

May be I got a bad batch, but these are the most bitter tasting seeds I have ever eaten. I had to spit some out they tasted so bad.

"Product of China"
December 23, 2015
My own fault for not looking closer before I purchased this, but this is a "Product of China". For as much as these cost and to verify their product handling & verify they are actually organic as they claim to be, coming from China is not okay in my book.
Hard to find good organic non GMO pumpkin seeds
August 4, 2015
These tasted a little stale to me. Hard to find good organic non GMO pumpkin seeds.
Grown in China
June 17, 2015
These seeds are grown in China, which has very questionable agricultural practices and organic standards, which a quick online search will reveal.

The seed in the package I got had a foul and dusty smelling odor, and I couldn't eat it. So, I'm feeding it to my dogs instead and they haven't died, so thats good.

January 24, 2017
These taste very odd. It's almost a chemical taste to them. I really hope I don't get sick.
NOT RAW!!!
October 12, 2015
NOT RAW! These are advertised as raw pumpkin seeds but they are not raw. Beware misleading labels. Raw seeds sprout, every time. These are likely irradiated, so the appearance of being raw remains. Irradiation kills the nutritional value of the seeds. Please take your business elsewhere.
A good deal gone bad
June 3, 2015
Fast shipping but the expiration date was for the same month that I received it. It was a 4lb bag so there was no way I could eat it all in time and the healthy fats go rancid fairly easily which make them very unhealthy. I had to throw out 3/4 of the bag. Learn from my mistake and make sure when ordering food online to make sure you get the expiration date ahead of time.

Made in China !!!!!!!!!
False advertising
November 28, 2015
I agree with the reviewers who wrote that "Origin: USA" in the Product Details section is deceptive and should be removed. If you look very closely and enlarge the shot of the back of the bag, you'll see at the bottom: "Product of China. Packaged in the USA." So the real "origin" is China, not the USA.
LIARS ITS CHINA ORIGIN
November 18, 2015
Origin USA? Thats a lie, they should take this product down! IT SAYS CHINA right on the bag!!
Chinese Grown!
September 15, 2015
The product description is deceiving - these seeds are grown in China and packaged in the U.S. It should say Origin - China, not U.S.
