Five Star Reviews: | 76% Great glue sticks from a trusted brand. November 25, 2016 Great glue sticks from a trusted brand. Bulk pack is convenient and cheap.Works great in either high or low temperature glueguns. Drys clear. This listing is for "Standard", "Regular" or "Large" stick glueguns. Also know as:7/16 Inch diameter0.44 Inch diameter10.9 mm diameterNOT for "Mini" stick glueguns. Top quality glue September 21, 2016 Top quality glue sticks. I've already used almost the entire package, and don't have any complaints about them. I would buy longer ones next time so I don't have to reload as frequently, but I tend to go through glue pretty quickly so that's probably my fault. No odor, which is a good thing in my book. Sticks well to everything I've tried it on so far. My preferred glue stick. July 4, 2016 After using generic brand glue sticks purchased at the local store and then these, I would never go back to the generic brand. While I think my skill with and application style using the glue gun influences the quantity of glue webs, I have had far fewer webs than with the other sticks. Since I create ribbon art pieces and hair clips, this is intricate to a finished product with minimum crafting time. Since using these sticks, rarely do I need to pull out the blow dryer to dissolve glue webs off the finished product. I get a better finished product with less time investment. Improvement I would recommend: offer these in a 100-stick package, too, as I have only located the 50-stick. Great glue sticks with a permanent bond. I am purchasing again. Great Glue Sticks for Great Price! January 12, 2016 This glue stick pack was a lifesaver! I was given an old hot glue gun by my grandparents and I had no idea what glue sticks it needed. These were just the right size and have worked perfectly for me. The quality of the glue is fantastic and I love that so many glue sticks come in a bag. Very happy! Excellent glue November 29, 2015 Bought this glue pack because I was running low. Finally got to use it has a really strong hold. I was fixing my daughters train table and everything is made of bare wood or painted wood with a synthetic grass turf material. I glued trees down , houses, plastic rooftops, little wooden people, some loose tracks. The glue held extremely well. And I know that's what hot glue does. But I used glue that came with my Stanley gun and it would fall apart a few mins after I tugged on stuff and it wouldn't hold as well. But I was pulling on the stuff I glued down and it was holding firmly I was very surprised and pleased with the results. Work great with my super hot glue gun! June 19, 2013 For years I used the 'regular temp' glue guns, but now that I have a high temp glue gun I would never go back. As such, my review is based on using these glue sticks with a high temp glue gun.If you've ever used a glue gun, those little strings are the bane of your existence. You still get them with these glue sticks, but I'm fairly certain that just goes along with using a glue gun in general. These don't take forever to melt, but don't melt too fast either. Goldilocks would say they are just right. I agree. These aren't fancy, but they've held up just dandy to all of my upcycling projects thus far. I can be rather demanding when it comes to expecting things to hold together, and I have no complaints. However, you do need to know what to use hot glue for and what not to, or you might be disappointed. If you're looking for some sort of miracle glue stick, this isn't it. But if you're looking for a miracle from a glue stick, you might need to re-evaluate your religious preferences. :)Best of all, she-who-is-allergic-to-everything (that would be me) has had ZERO allergic reactions to them! | 58% Don't delay buy this today! December 18, 2016 Where has the glue gun been all my life?! Seriously this is the best glue gun I have ever bought! I had no idea that all glue guns are not the same till now! I also love the stand! I used this with the fabric glue sticks http://amzn.to/2h0iP7E for my daughters ugly Christmas sweater and was amazed at both products! Good but some parts are cheesy. August 21, 2016 Good hot glue gun. Takes longer then expected to warm up but once it is warm it would stay warm for along time. The stand is abit cheesy but ita a bonus so I won't dock it anny stars. And the stand on the hot glue gun also a bit unstable but I could deal with it. I really like it. It heats up fast June 8, 2015 I really like it. It heats up fast, can lay down a lot of glue quickly before it starts to back up, long cord, it comes with a nice stand with a hot glue repellent silicone pad, but the integrated kickstand and flat base make it pretty stable when not using the stand it came with if you lost it or something. The soft rubberized body make it very comfortable, huge trigger keeps you from getting sore fingers when doing a big project. High and low settings both work well. Low setting for foam and delicate materials, high setting for wood, metal, or stronger materials.Cons: it does drip a little bit, not a lot, I think it leaves about 3 BB sized drops on the pad when left alone for 10 minutes. Once the drops cool they are easy to dispose of, and it's not much of a waste of glue. I didn't have any problems with glue coming out the seams or the gun badly malfunctioning or anything though. It would be nice if it had a power switch, and some kind of timer for in case you forget to unplug it. Great Gun May 26, 2014 Love the fact it is dual temp and full size. Used to make foam core cornices for living and dining room. Covered with material to match curtains. Would have cost a fortune to have someone make them out of wood. Made foam core tissue box. Perfect.Great to glue tiny doll clothes to Christmas ornaments. Easy to handle and easy to use. Love stand which my 1984 model did not have. It still worked but could no longer find oval multi-temp glue sticks so I had to buy another one. Invest a little more and get this and you will probably have it the rest of your life. Works well for gluing foam August 4, 2010 I purchased this model for working with foam model airplanes. The low temperature setting works well and the glue does not melt the foam. The stand works well, but is light and will tip if you bump it with any force. It does drip, but not very much... I left it sitting for about 3 hours and there were about 10-12 drops of glue under the tip.The controls are simple... hi/low temp, turn it on by plugging it in. Good Choice February 9, 2010 This well-designed glue gun is a good choice for occasional use. It's lightweight (0.5 lbs), well-balanced, and a comfortable size: 7 inches long with a housing that tapers to less than an inch wide at the front. It has a full-size trigger that requires little effort and feeds continuously, not in steps, for better control. It has a plastic fold-down kickstand which is stable but unlikely to keep it upright if bumped, plus a separate plastic stand with a non-stick silicone drip pad. Its only control is a high-low temperature switch. No power switch, automatic cutoff, or thermostat. To turn it off, you unplug it. A light above the temp switch glows when it's powered.Hot parts are well covered -- only 1/4" of the metal tip is exposed. Made in China; UL listed. Heats to maximum temperature in 5 minutes. Non-drip tip means glue doesn't stream out when it's idle; it does drip slightly, which is harmless especially if you use the separate stand.A 4" glue stick goes almost all the way into the barrel. When first loaded, just a fraction of an inch is visible in the opening above the handle. The mechanism that pushes the stick forward rests behind that opening. So you need a second stick to push against the first to begin dispensing glue, then add another stick whenever the last one almost disappears into the barrel. If you plan to frequently switch between glue types, it would be easier and more economical to use a separate gun for each type. Glue sticks shouldn't be remove once started. To change glue type, you squeeze the leftover glue out the tip, using the new stick to push it through. The bond it creates is a bit like sticking things together with melted candle wax -- just harder and with a higher melting point. Good on porous materials that will partially absorb the glue. It will firmly attach non-porous surfaces as well, but with some effort you can pull them apart and pull off the glue, leaving no residue. | 54% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Four Star Reviews: | 14% I bought the wrong size, but that's okay. March 15, 2016 Well, crap. Got the wrong size. I MEANT to get mini glue sticks. Oh well, I needed another glue gun anyway. Now I'll have a big one and a little one!The glue sticks work as expected! Could use better description February 21, 2016 I'm sure the product as what it's meant to but the description could be better not what I wanted | 13% There are no reviews yet | 13% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Three Star Reviews: | 6% Three Stars November 3, 2016 Inexpensive, but seems very stringy compared to the ones that came with my glue gun. It's okay. December 6, 2014 Got to my house in 2 days thanks to prime. I am giving it a 3 star because of the size of the glue sticks. I was originally going to buy the mini sticks but ended up going with these ones (the standard ones). The standard ones are seriously mini size. Definitely not what I expected. Overall, the quality of the glue is good. MELTS WAY TO FAST April 23, 2013 These are good glue sticks for any project. The price was good but the glue sticks seemed to melt very quickly causing me to use more than normal. I would buy the long glue sticks next time or maybe another Brand. i ordered the wrong one March 3, 2013 i love that i have amazon prime and i get my stuff fast, but to send the stuff back it is ridiculous. The product was 9-. they want almost 6- to ship it back? I very rarely return anything but ordered the wrong size that is a disgrace I will eat this one. Love amazon, but return shipping costs are way too high!! | 8% There are no reviews yet | 12% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Two Star Reviews: | 1% Warning: Very thick sticks January 10, 2016 I didn't know glue sticks even came in such a width -- too thick for any of my glue guns. Will use in the glue pot I have. They suck for the large glue gun because they melt really ... December 23, 2015 This is for those who are looking for inexpensive glue sticks... these are short, fat sticks! I thought these were the skinny ones, but because they do not specify the size, I assumed they were the smaller, skinny ones since why would you make the thicker sized glue sticks so short?! They suck for the large glue gun because they melt really quickly and you go through them like water! And well, obviously, they just are not what I thought they were. Seller please note what size these are for future buyers! | 5% Not impressed June 28, 2016 Not impressed, it drips a lot and comes out very gloppy. This does not give a nice finish at all. Drips March 24, 2016 No drip tip does not work. I'm wondering if I can return it. The reason I replaced my old glue gun is because I got a severe burn when my finger got in a puddle of dripped glue. The no drip feature sold me on this one. It's dripped from the very first use. this glue gun is wonderful at first October 19, 2015 this glue gun is wonderful at first, but we have gone through 2 of them in the past 3 months because BOTH of them separated on the underside of the gun and leaked glue all over the place.I would not buy this again, and I want my money back You shouldn't have to repair something a day after you buy it September 9, 2015 Started falling apart after second use. There is a black metal ring just behind the nozzle that is held on using nothing more than a bad crimp. I'm guessing that is there to resist the pressure exerted by the glue stick being forced forward. However, it's really cheap thin metal trying to grip onto rubberized plastic. Of course that is going to fail. Even worse, they put a thin rubber cone around the nozzle that also ripped.I hear they have these crazy new things called "screws". It would have been nice have cheap screw or two holding it in place.I'm not expecting masterwork craftsmanship on a hot glue gun, but this feels like someone skimped on materials to save cash on an already cheap tool. Not buying Surebonder crap again. Poor Engineering May 11, 2014 During 1st use, the metal crimp on the end near the nozzle popped off and the two housing halves split apart. This is just a poor design. This is going back for a return, and fingers crossed the Aleene's Ultimate Glue Gun is better. | 7% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
One Star Reviews: | 3% Check sizes, large gun glue September 25, 2015 Wish I could return, wrong size. They're for the BIG gun. Not the mini. My mistake. wrong product description December 21, 2009 I was looking for regular size glue sticks to use for my craft projects and found what I thought were the regular size, but was sent mini glue sticks instead. I don't have a mini glue gun, so these didn't work. I live in Turkey and can't find glue sticks at a craft store like in the states, because they don't have them here, so I have to rely on shopping online and trust what I am buying is the correct product, because I can't just drive to the store to look at it. Was very disappointed and was not able to complete my projects, because I didn't have my glue to use. Misleading description August 6, 2009 Glue sticks said to be regular were in fact mini. Spent good money on a product that was useless to me. | 16% Stopped working April 11, 2017 This gun I bought it I've used maybe three times. It burnt up and doesn't work now. Total waste of money. The last one I had lasted for years. Don't waste your money Short-Lived January 3, 2017 It started off great, but within two hours of use, the trigger quit working, leaving me in a lurch with the project I was doing. For Your Safety! December 1, 2014 I've had this now for almost 3 years and have used it a handful of times. The reviews are 100% correct, it drips. However, the worst part about this glue gun is that it just blew a breaker, sparked, and almost caught on fire. I highly recommend you go somewhere else to purchase a glue gun! It is too late to return too - which just makes this situation even worse!! September 1, 2014 I used this glue gun for the first time today. At first I was excited about the ease of use and the no drip tray. I then was ready to use it later today and when I plugged it in it never heated up. I tried four different outlets and the gun is still not turning on. I cannot believe I only got one use out of this and barely used it at all during this one use. It is too late to return too - which just makes this situation even worse!!! Does not work. January 9, 2012 2 glue sticks put into gun and melted......nothing came out. The glue is likely pooling inside gun as other reviews said. I am sad purchaser. | 14% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
