| Great filter upgrade for my Craftsman Lawn TractorJuly 14, 2017 Works great on my Craftsman 19.5HP Twin I/C Engine. This filter is much larger than stock, which enables greater fuel flow, than the tiny plastic one that was original. This filter also goes down to a smaller micron level than the stock one. I also love clear filters, so I can see the fuel color, filter quality, and whether fuel is reaching the filter, all at a glance! You can see the fuel inside the filter, even though the filter is not 100% filled with gasoline, I say about 80% full, it's working just fine. Good filter for larger small engines...probably too large for smaller enginesJanuary 1, 2015 I installed these on a snowblower and a power washer. Filters should be part of the original design, as they prevent particles from accumulating in these small engines' tiny, delicate, finicky carburetors. This model of filter is fairly large and would probably not fit nicely on many push lawn mowers, and it is plastic, so it is not to ABYC standards for use on marine engines. But the benefits of a large filter are large capacity and easy visibility. The intended fuel flow direction is embossed on the filter but not easy to see - make sure you get that right! If you install it backwards, fuel will still flow and be filtered but you won't be able to see any crud in the filter. Wix In-Line Fuel FilterApril 24, 2014 Wix Products are a mainstay for Quality gas filters. These filters are excellent for use on our antique vehicles, as most of them have gas line issues. You can easily check the Wix filter and see if there are rust particles, or other debris in the fuel line. I tried removing the fuel line almost immediately after putting it on, and the end tried to twist off, so be warned once this filter gets a hose on it, the hose will not slide off without the plastic breaking.
