I'd recommend running everything twice through the machine though (2 sessions of 3 minutes) as that seems to make the jewelry as clean as possible. Oh, and enjoy reading the directions. Seriously, read them. The translations into English are so poor you will actually get some entertainment value reading them. The unit is small and compact so don't feel like you are losing counter space. RETURN TO SPARKLE WITH MONEY TO SPARE! June 4, 2017 It has gotten so expensive to have good jewelry cleaned at the jewelry store, and I tried toothpaste with a toothbrush on my stuff-it was ok. I am so happy we got this machine, very user friendly, just read all directions carefully first to be safe; it does a GREAT job in professional cleaning-I did purchase a cleaning solution with the machine, and diluted the solution with water-got EXCELLENT results in just a few minutes...-if you're on the fence and you love your jewelry go for it, money well worth spent-you will save on cleaning outside in the long run! I threw in 2 platinum necklaces, my wedding ring and some miscellaneous Lia Sophia earrings (knowing full well there was the potential for damage to them based on reviews). Everything turned out fantastic. I did three cycles because of how filthy my jewelry was and they are super sparkling clean. No scrubbing, no fancy cleaning solution. I did one cycle with a drop of dawn dish soap and the other two cycles with nothing other than tap water. I even have friends that will be bringing over their jewelry to try it out and see if they want to buy one too!No I wasn't paid for my review, no I didn't receive a discount - I paid full price and even bought this accidentally. January 25, 2017 My jewelry looks BRAND NEW and soooo shiny! I can easily clean necklaces, my glasses, watches, and earrings at the same time due to the large size! So far, I'm extremely satisfied with it. I have it set up in a pull-out drawer with an electrical outlet in my bathroom, and I just drop my jewelry in there and run it while getting ready in the morning. I've cleaned all my husband's glasses as well, and he says that they are super clean. This machine is ridiculously easy to work--plug it in, fill with water, put jewelry in the included basket, and click the ON button. It makes a very quiet buzzing noise to let you know it is working. First time I tried using a cleaning solution with my ultrasonic cleaner. It made my gold, diamond and gemstone jewelry sparkle. I used to work in the jewelry biz years ago, so I take very good care of my jewelry and keep them clean. I've tried all the tricks I knew and somehow I could never get my diamond and gemstone jewelry to sparkle. 3 minutes in the ultrasonic cleaner, some water with a capful of this cleaner was all it took. Again, WOW! The water actually turned slightly gray and there were teeny black bits floating around. Seriously, I keep my jewelry very clean, so I was thoroughly impressed. Makes gold jewelry shine, as well. 2 bottle price is awesome. This will last a really long time. Thanks! and some stainless/faux with great success. September 28, 2017 Works really well in my ultrasonic jewelry cleaner, keeps my wife's valuables cleaner longer, and gets them cleaner to begin with (instead of just using water). August 29, 2017 Works great in my Generic Sonic Wave CD-2800 Ultrasonic Jewelry Cleaner. I use a cap full in warm water in the unit and it makes my rings, watchbands, glasses, everything sparkling clean and shiny looking. The nice thing about it is that you don't have to scrub like you would with using just some dawn dishwashing liquid soap in the machine. This stuff is concentrated and the bottle will last me a year. Good cleaner July 9, 2017 The jewelry cleaner works great and everything I cleaned with it looks so much brighter. I am very pleased with this product. July 5, 2017 I ordered this at the same time I ordered an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner. I used the solution on my first try on some of my rings and earrings and everything turned out great! You use 4 capfuls of the solution to 1 full little bin of water in the cleaning machine. When I pulled everything out, it was clean and shiny, I dabbed dry with a towel and was good to go! Best ultrasonic cleaner for copper hands down June 9, 2017 This is the third cleaner I've tried for my copper bracelet. Even on a 10 minute cycle, the others could never get the tarnish off. I was about to give up. Because of reasons I won't bore you with, I won't use the clear nail polish trick to keep my copper from contacting my skin. My wrist turns green every day, I don't care. What I do care about is a tarnished bracelet. Plus, I can cut the time in half on my ultrasonic cleaner. I hope Amazon never drops this product. October 9, 2016 We ordered these polishing cloths to use in our estate jewelry store to touch up pieces for our customers or to clean delicate jewelry that cannot be dipped into liquid cleaner. All of our staff give rave reviews for these cloths. They especially like the buffing cloth that is included with the cleaning cloth and really enjoy the large size because it helps to keep their fingers and hands from being stained black from the tarnish (which was a problem with the smaller cloths that do not have the buffing cloth). March 16, 2017 I bought a cleaning machine and the Blitz cleaner and this cleaner really works. You really don't have to use much. Maybe a cap full. Great product, this was my second order. January 5, 2017 I used this with the Magnasonic jewelry cleaner and it worked like a charm! My wife has older diamond jewelry that just looked cloudy and dull. She believed thats how it was for years (since she got it for a bargain many years ago). I told her lets get the maganasonic and blitz just to try. Well, after 5 minutes of cleaning, a rinse and dry, the diamonds have some serious bling restored. They look amazing! I am very happy with the results on jewelry that basically has never been cleaned. I didn't think the magnasonic and blitz combo would actually do anything. I was wrong and very happy about it. Four Star Reviews: | 17% Pretty good little device April 29, 2017 I've had jewelry cleaned professionally at the jewelry store, and this machine isn't equivalent to that. But it does a decent job of cleaning glasses and rings, dental night guard/partials, etc. I didn't find it very effective with plain water and after trying that a couple times now use just a single drop of Dawn liquid at the start of the cycle. It's quick, doesn't take up much space to store, and handy to have at home. Definitely easier than jewelry cleaners or polish that require buffing, rinsing, and so on. Good alternative at a very reasonable cost. Good but not as strong as heavy duty professional cleaners. January 27, 2017 It's good, it cleans ok but hoped it cleaned for longer and better. If you plan on cleaning silver jewelry or other items save the hassle and use baking soda with hot water and aluminum foil to get way better results. This cleaner works fine for dental night guards, tooth brushes, plastics and non silver jewelry just fine. Wish it had more modes than on or off. A setting for 2 or 3 sequential cleaning cycles would be ideal. Some dish soap will help clean better, just make sure you rinse it well. Do Not get the device wet besides the tank it can short out. Does what it says but it isn't a miracle worker. September 13, 2016 I use this for cleaning jewelry, retainers, and electric razor components and it works well if paired with a cleaning solution (retainer or jewelry cleaner) but it isn't going to remove deep stains or anything. My retainers seem to be cleaned nearly as well by just using the retainer cleaning tabs by themselves so I don't really know how much this does. However, it's lasted so far (four months about) and done well for almost daily use. Simple and well made. Very Good not excellent January 27, 2016 It is very good at cleaning jewery and such. However it is not as good as a professional cleaning. I submerged my husbands gold ring in the machine and although it did clean it, it did not clean it completely. I took it into the jeweler and had it sized and they cleaned it and you could see the difference. So that is what accounts for the four stars. That being said, I use it to clean my costume jewelry and it does a good job. The watch accessory included wlith the machine is useless because it sticks up out of the water line so that the watch cant get cleaned. So I don't use it, I just throw the watch in and turn it on. Also it cleans in 3 minute increments at a time so you have to push the button over again to extend the cleaning time for as long as it takes to get the right results. Worthwhile Cleaning Machine July 15, 2015 I'm very happy with this product, especially given the price. I bought it primarily to clean jewelry and when I tried it with jewelry that was already pretty clean I couldn't really tell the difference after one round. So I decided to test it on a pair of nail clippers that were in visible need of a good cleaning. Used water and a bit of dishwashing liquid. After one round (3 minute cleansing cycle) the water in the machine was dirty so I replaced it and I could already see improvement. It took four or five rounds to get the thing super clean and I had to clean the crevices on the inside with a q-tip. But even that dirt was loosened and easy to remove. The results are pretty amazing. And the water doesn't even get hot! The one annoying thing is that the cleaning cycles are only 3 minutes long. I'd love to just set the machine to say 10 minutes if I have a super dirty item so I don't have to keep resetting it. It worked pretty well cleaning jewelry, coins and silverware, noticeably better than water alone. So far so good April 3, 2017 Seems to work, but mixing directions seem unclear to me. It says 1 cap to 5 caps of water. But how does that translate to cleaning basin. So if someone figures out how many caps to the Magnasonic Professional Ultrasonic jewelery cleaner basin, I would appreciate it. Maybe if i feel ambitious i will measure it out. Removed light tarnish from silver May 30, 2016 Used today on lightly soiled rings and bracelets in my ultrasonic cleaner. Some white gold, some sterling silver, some diamonds, some CZ. Everything sparkled, and light tarnish was removed. Did need to do a final buff with tarnish remover cloth to bring the silver to its best, but if I was in a hurry, this would have sufficed. Don't know how it would work on heavily tarnished items. Gets the grime out August 27, 2015 Have gone through 2 bottles in past few months. Cleaning about a pound of silver jewelry which was some kind of dirty! I like the mix to be strong as my sonic cleaner is a bit on the weak side and times out at 8 minutes. I try not to overload the basket. When water is dirty, I will change with new solution and clean water and repeat for whatever still needs it. In steel shot in a tumbler it works quite well. The shipper sent them right away, I had them in 2 days and used them that night. My wedding ring sparkled like I had taken it in and had it professionally cleaned. My silver also had years of grime and tarnish just stripped away. I really like this cleaner and I am glad that I stocked up on it since I will be making sure my jewels sparkle often! April 5, 2017 I really wanted to love this product but we ended up returning it because it just didn't deliver as promised. My wedding ring or glasses for example barely looked cleaner after using this and I really expected more. I'd rather save the money and clean my things in a different and more efficient way. Good for the price. December 2, 2016 It gets things cleaner but I am not sure how. It's strange to watch things get cleaner because it doesn't look like anything is happpening beyond it making noise. Sometime I have to clean things 2 - cycles which is why I am giving it a 3 star. Great for the price July 7, 2016 I used this to clean airbrushes and it works okay. I was rough on mine going as far as even using light solvents which ultimately led to this falling apart fairly quickly. It is built of cheap thin plastics but gets the job done for the most part. For what I do I should probably being using a Stainless steel commercial unit. This is why I am giving them 3 stars I feel like under normal household use conditions the product would have lasted years. I did end up buying another one of the same product because the price is right and I need something to hold me over until I find a suitable commercial version. You get what you pay for! Basically, if there is heavy buildup, it didn't do so well, even after multiple cycles.It performed well on various pairs of glasses, getting out the dirt and algae build-up with just water and a couple of cycles. I had some articles of silver that cleaned well too.It didn't do so well on a couple of retainers that I had. Even with a bit of dishwashing soap and multiple cycles, there wasn't any noticable improvement in stain removal or build-up. I also had some various coins I tried to clean for fun, but they didn't come out any better.The machine itself works quietly and is easy to clean. The one clean cycle on this model was too short. It tends to heat up after a few cylces, don't know if that's normal, but I was afraid to run it more. May Die Forever After a Few Months June 12, 2015 This cleaner seemed to work fairly well: it was simple to use, cleaned things, and was a breeze to operate. However, the device suddenly quit working after a cycle (I generally ran it twice). I had plugged it in, filled it with water, added the object to be cleaned, turned it on, and left the room. A few minutes after the cycle completed (I had gotten distracted), I went to run the cycle again (only for a portion as the device does have a "Stop" button) but it wouldn't start. March 17, 2015 Purchased this product because it was rated high and I needed something stronger than what came with my ultrasonic cleaner. Using this with the ultrasonic cleaner worked OK. It worked well on some pieces (earring ear wires, small charms & beads, small chain, etc.) and others turned completely black (larger items: big chain, large pendants, etc.). The items that turned black, I tried to clean again and still nothing. Also, I found I had to use more of the product than recommended for all the items. I do have a lot of jewelry to clean as I make jewelry almost daily. I probably will not use again since it was just so-so. I did have to use my silver cloth on every piece after cleaning and rinsing as a way to dry and get the remainder of the tarnish off. Now I'm looking for a new cleaner to use with my ultrasonic cleaner. I will try this with my tumbler for the pieces that turned black to see if that will clean the items. Two Star Reviews: | 3% Not effective. Does not polish. September 18, 2017 You will only see a difference on a very dirty ring. We use this on platinum, gold, silver and copper (rose gold). It won't polish, but will only cleans out the dirt. If you add solution, then it works a lot better. With that being said, you can get the same result by use a microfiber and clean the jewelries with the solution. It's faster and it does not take much effort at all. I am keeping it, but wouldn't recommend it. It does not add value as it does not save you time or money. Not for Me January 29, 2017 I was excited by previous reviews, but when I received the item and tried it out, I saw that it really didn't do much of anything. I followed the directions carefully. It emitted the blue light and made some bubbling noises. I guess it cleaned off some dirt from my gold necklace, but forget anything silver. It does nothing for tarnish. I was very disappointed, and returned the item. Why all the good reviews?? Disappointed in this November 13, 2016 This does work well well for gold, which comes out nice and shiny. But lousy on silver. Even with several cleanings, all of the dirt around the lenses and nose piece was still there. I will get some solution. I did use dish soap but didn't seem to make a difference. Not good for an amateur June 11, 2015 I'm not anywhere close to professional regarding jewelry, but this doesn't work as well as I had expected. The other reviewers seem to know more, so I assume that my use - it's just not made for removing tarnish from silver. I'm sure that it's safer on stones, and maybe metal in general than the fast chemical stones, but I wanted a quick fix, and this wasn't it. I tried adding detergent and even packs of that suggested additive to the water, but it really made no difference, the water wasn't even dirty. Waste of money. April 15, 2015 Not worth the money. I get my rings cleaner with plain old soap and water and a soft toothbrush. I put my mom's old wedding ring set in the ultrasonic cleaner and cleaned for two 3 minute cycles. Not much happened. Then I put the same rings in hot soapy water and all sorts of dirt came off. Use windex instead December 20, 2016 Save your money, i learned from a diamond dealer that the best thing to use is windex.I have used this cleaner in my ultra sonic cleaner it was just ok, but my diamond shines a lot more when cleaned with Windex.I place my ring in windex, i use a toothbrush for a little bit on all the sides then turn the ultrasonic cleaner on.I do 2 cycles and the ring comes out sparkling. Not as good as I thought it would be December 13, 2016 Got my diamonds pretty but it didn't get my other Stones clean Did not work for me January 15, 2016 I used as directed in my ultrasonic cleaner - 4 capfuls diluted with water in the basket. Left it on for 5 minutes - nothing. I doubled the concentration and tried it again for 5 minutes - nothing. The earrings were silver, tarnished, but not badly. Blitz did not work on them. I finally got out the Tarn-X and it worked. Can't recommend Blitz.. | 2% Two Stars August 14, 2017 I don't like the lint all over my lap or table when I use this polishing cloth. Its a very poor quality fabric April 6, 2017 After the first use the edges of the white inner cloth started to rip. Its a very poor quality fabric. I wont buy this product again Does OK. One Star Reviews: | 6% I tried to like this item but unfortunately it did not work for ... July 2, 2017 I tried to like this item but unfortunately it did not work for me. I had to run several cycles to get my jewelry clean. If any part of my jewelry was overlapping and not touching the base of the tray it would not get cleaned. I also found I had to clean it with a clean cloth anyway after removing my jewelry from the machine in order to get it clean so it almost felt like double the work. Does absolutely nothing for silver. April 10, 2017 Does absolutely nothing. I did several experiments using it on silver. Including using it with a cleaning solution. There was NO CHANGE between just the cleaning solution and the cleaning solution with this product. I can't speak to how it works for other items -- it's possible that it's great for something like cleaning your glasses, but I can't see why you wouldn't just use water/a cloth?Thankfully, I was able to get my money back. Good until it breaks down within a few days February 26, 2017 This was pretty good... if this lasted more than a few days.I got this last week and used it I think a total of 9 times before the soft buzzing noise became a loud buzzing noise which seems to have lost its ability to clean anything. I used to see vibration on the water surface but ever since it became a loud buzzing noise, nothing is happening to the water and seems like nothing is happening. Put item I was cleaning in, turned on, did it's thing for 60 seconds - repeated that 3 times - went to use it again, and does nothing - no led, no vibrate. Lasted 180 seconds total. Don't waste your money. | 3% I Think I Received a Defective Cloth April 5, 2017 I am sorry to say that this did not work at all on silver. I tried it on a tiny vase that is trimmed in tarnished sterling silver. Nothing. I tried it on the lid of a small brass ewer that needs cleaning. Nothing. I then tried cleaning a 1925 silver dollar that is moderately tarnished. I rubbed, and rubbed, and rubbed and only a very little bit of the tarnish came off. I think that it would probably take about three hours of hard rubbing to totally clean it up.Maybe it's just me, but I think that's a little too much work.I think that what is supposed to be the polishing side of this cloth was not treated fully or at all with the silver cleaning chemicals. I know it's only $6.99, but I am returning it.
