Five Star Reviews: | 74% Exceeded expectations. The boy loved it! November 7, 2017 The small size fit my 1st grader well, with plenty of room to spare. It was nice because he could wear some fleece pants and a sweatshirt underneath for warmth. I'd say he's slightly above avg height and a bit below avg weight. The iron on numbers were a hit. The helmet is surprisingly durable and decent quality; nothing like the disposable garbage they had for this sort of thing when i was a kid! :) Very pleased and my boy still likes to get dressed up and run around in it. SCORE! December 13, 2013 My son wanted a Jersey for Christmas....well I start looking around and those babies are like 60-80 dollars! Um yeah right I am not going to spend that much on a 6 year old boy that will grow out of it in 6 months. So I see this helmet and jersey package around 50 bucks. SCORE! I just got it today and of course it isn't pro shop quality but for the price and for what I got it is pretty darn nice. I know he is going to be super excited when he opens it on Christmas! The helmet just has a decal of the team so I hope it doesn't come off really easy. And hopefully it wont be too much of a hassle to put the numbers on the back. It is easy out of the box packaging so you don't have to fight to get it out. I got a size Medium and it looks like it is true to size. He pants might be a little small but we wont know until after the 25th! A Winner October 7, 2013 We gave this to our son on his eighth birthday and he wears it all the time - he loved picking his own numbers to have put on. The numbers ironed on great. The material is light - almost pajama like and seems very durable (having already been washed several times). We do not use the shoulder pads or the chin guard much, but he did like receiving them.The helmet is just a little tight going over the ears, but our family sometimes has been known to have big heads, so I am not knocking it down.... it fits comfortably when it is on.We bought him the medium and he is a youth size eight in normal clothes - it fits great and with the elastic he should be able to wear this for some time to come.All in all - the "best birthday present ever"! | 29% Awesome for cosplay November 23, 2015 I'm definitely not a child - I'm an adult who loves to do cosplay - these were great for my post-apocalyptic video game character. I cut the foam to the style I wanted and they sat on my shoulders (with some straps) and were exactly what I needed. The plastic was even thin enough that I could push through cone spike studs to complete my look. I might buy again and cover with a different material to create a different look. Costume Only! December 7, 2012 Well the product is absolutely useless for any type of performance-oriented or workout equivalents. I used it for part of a Batman costume and it worked fantastically. The plastic is just that: cheap plastic. Why do you think the price is so inexpensive? Keeping that in mind, they worked great as a costume piece. The tie is cheap with the underlay being inexpensive foam. They are small, but could fit adults. Four Star Reviews: | 17% Perfect for that fan! Easy to put on July 30, 2016 The quality is a typical dress up/play costume material. Very thin. The jersey is mesh, and the pants are super thin. The helmet it pretty solid, but you obviously wouldn't use it to play actual football. If you have a little one who loves to play dress up, this is really great for it. My son likes to just pretend in the house, and this is all he needs. I am so glad I went up a size on this March 29, 2016 I am so glad I went up a size on this. According to the size chart my son would be a small, but I opted for the Medium so he had room to grow. Well it fit him perfectly, if not a bit too small right away. So no room to grow, but he loves it all the same! It is very cute! Son loves it December 27, 2015 So I only gave this four stars because they don't make it in a smaller size. My son loves it but it's way to big for him at this time. It doesn't stop him from wearing it around the house every Sunday when he watches games with daddy. Hail to the Redskins! January 3, 2014 My son woke up on Christmas and opened this package and went bananas! He's 7 years old and a die-hard Redskins fan. He wore his uniform all Christmas day... brunch, outside (with long underwear), and dinner at my sister's house. The only thing that wasn't that great about the uniform were the shoulder pads. There's nothing to keep them in place... no velcro, slits to insert them... nothing so he just tossed them to the side and kept moving. Other than that, great buy! I would recommend it. Great set for my little "football player". November 19, 2013 This was definitely worth the price. The costume was in really good condition and was made really well. Accessories were provided to complete the uniform. The number for the jersey was very easy to put on and the insertable shoulder pads was a great extra because purchasing extra pads were not needed. The helmet was of better quality than I expected. It thought the helmet would be cheaply made and look fake but that was not the case. Long after Halloween, my son is still playing with this item. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the M was a little smug for my 7yr old and the availability of other sizes was scarce. Great for Halloween or anytime March 16, 2013 I bought this item for my son for Halloween when he was three. We LOVED the costume. The helmet looks so authentic, it was the best part of the costume, and now we use it for decoration in his football themed room. It was a little big on my little guy, I think it would fit 4-5 year olds a little better but people thought he was so cute in his too big helmet. The pants were great cause they had elastic on the bottom so even though they were just an inch or two too big they stayed put on his ankles. I have to admit, he didn't wear the jersey very long, we used the jersey that came with the set for his preschool party because we knew it would get dirty. Then that night for trick or treating he wore his authentic jersey from the Eagles store. My only other complaint about the set was that the shoulder pads don't stay in well. There are two pockets in the shoulders of the jersey and they come out fairly easily, we ended up losing one at preschool and were never able to find it again. | 15% Perfect for a toddler's Halloween costume November 8, 2017 Perfect for a toddler's Halloween costume. Have the appearance of real football pads but with zero weight or discomfort. My only complaint was that there is no start to hold it down on the sides/under the arms. It kinda rests like a necklace and sticks out in the chest and back rather than lying down against the skin. It's a simple fix with Velcro or elastic. For this price, I didn't expect it work out as well as it did. I'd definitely recommend this item for a toddler costume. Great for Halloween Costume November 4, 2017 Awkward fit but it was only for a Halloween costume and did what it was intended to do so I can’t complain. My son however did complain that it was uncomfortable on his bare skin and he needed to wear an undershirt then the pads then a long sleep over shirt then his jersey but we live in New England and Halloween is usually cold so it worked out.All in all I would definitely recommend the product to be worn under clothes because of its awkward fit that lifts up. Three Star Reviews: | 5% Missing jersey, but good costume November 10, 2017 I would give more stars- except for the fact I was sent everything BUT the jersey (which I would think would be the main piece) . It took several minutes for customer service to understand that they didn't send me the jersey and I needed them to send it ASAP. However, instead of sending me ONLY the missing jersey, they sent the entire order, with instructions to return everything I didnt need- which honestly was just more of a hassle. The red bled onto the numbers when we applied them (following the directions to a T). Other than all that, it was a pretty awesome costume and my son loves it. Youth costume January 13, 2017 I purchased this for my nephew for Halloween. He loved it! However, the numbers did not stick or iron on. My mother had to get them sewn on. Just buy the helmet March 12, 2016 The helmet is awesome. The iron on decals didn't work at all for us, a huge disappointment to my son. We had to throw the jersey away, because even following directions it became a mess when we ironed them. The backing wouldn't come off and leave the decal no matter what we did. The jersey is also see through, not very high quality at all. Pants are fine. Since I got it on lightning deal, I was glad to have the helmet for that price, shirt was just a big fail. Good helmet, other parts are low quality. December 16, 2014 This was a big hit with my son. He only wanted a helmet but this was the only way to get a helmet. Good thing the helmet is all that really matters though because the quality of the other pieces is poor. The pants and shirt are really thin, but still look cute on. I haven't attempted to iron on any numbers yet because my son can't decide which one to put on it so I can't comment on that aspect. The helmet is great though, so if you are just in the market for one of those this is a good one. Runs big March 31, 2014 Sizing is not all correct, still a bit big. Son will have to use it next year and thats if he doesn't out grow it by then but I would go a size down if possible. The helmet is really big, my Husband has a big head and it was still too big for his head too. It's not made for actual use but its still hard to wear while dressing up in it as a costume because it just moves all around. Patriots Youth Uniform January 7, 2014 The best parts of this set are the helmet (which is the primary reason we bought this) and the pants. The shirt (as you can obviously see in the pic) is no where near the same in style or quality as the "official" youth Patriots Jerseys. The only good thing about the shirt is that it has inserts for the shoulder pads. However, the shoulder pads are made of a hard plastic, and they move around a lot, my 4 y.o. son can't stand them. I'm going to make some out of thick, dense foam instead. The helmet, with the pants and a real jersey, make a cute uniform that my son loves wearing on game days as he plays football while watching the game! The fit is awkward because it is just thin foam in the middle and it was laid flat when it arrived; so it didn't sit against my sons' chests. It moves around really easy also so when they put on the costume jersey it moved the shoulder part out of place. I probably wouldn't waste my money on these again for the costume- they will probably end up being more of a frustration than anything Needed easy modifications November 2, 2015 As others have said.... needs bulked up. I had a problem with it staying down properly on my son. I think a good compression shirt would work well to fix that. I ended up putting holes in the front and back on each side then running elastic through the holes and knotting it. I also did what another reviewer suggested and bulked up with fiberfill and ziplock bags. Worked great and was cheap so exactly what I was looking for. Bought for my 6 year old son who is in a size 8/med clothing. Decent product, but could be better December 3, 2014 I bought these shoulder pads to complete my son's Halloween costume. They were a lot smaller than I'd pictured, and the pad part on the top doesn't lay as nicely as it does in the picture. My son is 8, but he is small for his age, at 50 lbs, so they did fit, luckily, but he wasn't crazy about them. He only ended up wearing them to one Halloween function, and decided he didn't want to wear them anymore after that, because they weren't very comfortable.Luckily the price is inexpensive, so I don't mind paying what I did for the one time use, I'd just hoped that he'd get more use out of them.So if you are looking for something inexpensive for a child's costume, then this is it. If you are looking for something that they may use longer, like to dress like their favorite player on football Sundays throughout the season, I'd look somewhere else, because I don't think they are comfortable enough or sturdy enough for long time use. Good play product for little kids, but 7+ years could be improved October 21, 2014 These fit our 7 year old in width, but underneath a play football jersey (We also bought Seattle Seahawks outfit from the same company), it's not that impressive. He complains the front section covering the chest sticks up and out which it does. There are no straps, so it rests on the shoulders and not held firm with straps under the arms. For him they slide in all directions while he's running. The shoulders kind of sit normal on his shoulders, which means they don't have the football look of shoulder pads.The quality is good but the fabric seems a tad light and might get ripped over time, maybe after a year or so. I would say this is a fun play product for kids under 7 years old, but could be better ofr 7-9 year olds. They DID NOT come with the bills logo on them September 21, 2017 For the price I paid it is well worth it for the helmet alone ....with that being said the clothing not so much. The pants had NO LOGO on them as shown in the picture and they are paper thin....the jersey is also very thin If you are looking for the helmet and don’t want to spend a lot of money on 1 then I suggest this set , but wouldn’t suggest it for anything else ;(. The helmet is not a real helmet and the pants and jersey are very thin. The pants we have are white and you can see my son's underwear through the pants. The directions say to press with the iron for 40 seconds but after multiple attempts it took roughly 3 minutes of pressing the iron to the shirt to get the number to peel from its backing. It still won't stick to the shirt.
