Five Star Reviews: | 74% Awesome Helmet! Jersey is poor quality. January 3, 2017 I have ordered the Patriots, Packers and Bears for my sons. They LOVE the helmets. They are not heavy at all, so my boys can run around and play in them. When they are not using them, I have them hung up in their rooms as sports memoribilia. The jersey to me is just an add on. It is poor quality and runs small. It also does not look like the players jersey in any way, so my boys do not wear them. I give the helmets 5 stars and the jersey 1 star. Great product and I'm sure we'll be buying more soon October 24, 2016 We just received this in time for Halloween and my 8year old is SOOOO excited with how "real" it looks. Good for a costume September 8, 2016 My kid is only three, so I was hoping he could grow into it eventually, and it fit about how I expected. It will probably fit an eight if they aren't too big. I'm 4'11 and could put it on, although it was tight and short on me. I was also able to fit the helmet. My toddler loves the helmet even though it's a little big for him. Great for playing dress up or maybe a Halloween costume. The shirt is the material of a mesh pinny and the helmet is light plastic. Perfect for a little football lover, but note: no shoulder pads (or pants) in this set! March 22, 2016 I bought this for my 4 year old son for Christmas. The product as described is great. Perfect for a child. The helmet fits on his head very loosely but not so much that he can't see out of the opening. It also fits my and my husbands' heads. The chin strap is a nice added authentic touch. Jersey is fine, as expected.I would have preferred a whole kit, at least including shoulder pads. Dont be fooled by the picture where there appears to be shoulder pads under the jersey, you have to buy them separately. I ran a quick Amazon search and found cheap, child-size play shoulder pads so it wasn't a huge deal but if you dont read the description properly you might not realize they don't come with this set. I also bought my son cheap, real football pants on Amazon. Another quick search will find them for you as well. This adds a little cost on to your gift but really makes it worthwhile. Looks good December 29, 2015 I knew going in that this would be a bit large for my boy, but it was worth it. I bought it on a lightning deal before Christmas and feel it was worth the money. The jersey is a plain jersey without a specific name, but looks decent. My boy put the helmet on right after opening it and did not want to take it off for a long time. Of course, he wanted to play "tackle" for a while. Great novelty item. Great Birthday Present for an 8 year old! I am a good Aunt. October 18, 2015 My nephew fell IN LOVE with his birthday present and I don't think he took the helmet off the whole party. The helmet was of good construction, and even fit my head, it was a tiny to big for him, but he will grow into it. He just turned 8 and is slim and tall for his age. The jersey will be good for this year but he will mostly grow out of it by the next summer. You know how kids grow like weeds! I cut the foam to the style I wanted and they sat on my shoulders (with some straps) and were exactly what I needed. The plastic was even thin enough that I could push through cone spike studs to complete my look. I might buy again and cover with a different material to create a different look. Costume Only! December 7, 2012 Well the product is absolutely useless for any type of performance-oriented or workout equivalents. I used it for part of a Batman costume and it worked fantastically. The plastic is just that: cheap plastic. Why do you think the price is so inexpensive? Keeping that in mind, they worked great as a costume piece. The tie is cheap with the underlay being inexpensive foam. They are small, but could fit adults. Have the appearance of real football pads but with zero weight or discomfort. My only complaint was that there is no start to hold it down on the sides/under the arms. Three Star Reviews: | 4% inconsistent logo size October 2, 2017 I bought two. I wanted my boys to wear them to the game Sunday. I was disappointed that the logos on the jerseys were two different sizes, and I didn't have time to exchange them. But other than that, they love the helmets and overall it was a good value. Doesnt look like a real uniform. March 15, 2017 Cutw but fit my son weird. He looked like he was just wearing baggy clothes than a uniform. For the price it's a cool product. Exactly what I was expecting from a dress up set. The jersey was also fine. The problem I have is with the graphics on the helmet. They are very cheap stickers that were peeling back before we even had a chance to take it out of the box. My 6 year old wore it a couple of times to watch football with his dad, and now the stickers are halfway hanging off and curled back. To be clear, he wasn't playing football in this, he was sitting WATCHING football while wearing this. Since the helmet is of acceptable quality for a toy and the jersey is fine, I will just see if I can buy some new stickers for it. I can't give this anymore than 3 stars, because it is just "ok" Helmet too big October 15, 2013 I was expecting a helmet that could fit a youth more than a grown man. Also the stickers on the side are coming off way too easy. Ive only had it for a week and both sides are almost gone. The jersey on the other hand seems to be holding up pretty good. Overall, you get what you pay for, just wish the helmet was smaller.I do plan on adding extra padding on the inside to compensate for the size so hopefully it will fit better on my kid. NFL Giants Replica Helmet/Jersey Set September 27, 2012 My son was THRILLED to get this set, which includes a replica football helmet and a team jersey. They are both decent quality, but after less than a month of putting the football helmet on and off, the inside foam padding started to peel off. We've glued it twice now, and it's peeling yet again. My son still loves his helmet, but we are all disappointed that it wasn't made sturdier to stand up to frequent use. He's clamoring once again for a "real" helmet, and he's feeling a bit sorry that he spent his birthday money for something that isn't holding up. He's 8; perhaps on a younger/smaller child, this would be less of an issue b/c the pads wouldn't rub so much against a smaller head as the helmet is put on and taken off. | 18% Five Stars October 18, 2017 Great addition to my sons costume. The fit is awkward because it is just thin foam in the middle and it was laid flat when it arrived; so it didn't sit against my sons' chests. I probably wouldn't waste my money on these again for the costume- they will probably end up being more of a frustration than anything Needed easy modifications November 2, 2015 As others have said.... needs bulked up. I had a problem with it staying down properly on my son. I think a good compression shirt would work well to fix that. I ended up putting holes in the front and back on each side then running elastic through the holes and knotting it. I also did what another reviewer suggested and bulked up with fiberfill and ziplock bags. Worked great and was cheap so exactly what I was looking for. Bought for my 6 year old son who is in a size 8/med clothing. Decent product, but could be better December 3, 2014 I bought these shoulder pads to complete my son's Halloween costume. They were a lot smaller than I'd pictured, and the pad part on the top doesn't lay as nicely as it does in the picture. My son is 8, but he is small for his age, at 50 lbs, so they did fit, luckily, but he wasn't crazy about them. He only ended up wearing them to one Halloween function, and decided he didn't want to wear them anymore after that, because they weren't very comfortable.Luckily the price is inexpensive, so I don't mind paying what I did for the one time use, I'd just hoped that he'd get more use out of them.So if you are looking for something inexpensive for a child's costume, then this is it. He complains the front section covering the chest sticks up and out which it does. There are no straps, so it rests on the shoulders and not held firm with straps under the arms. For him they slide in all directions while he's running. The shoulders kind of sit normal on his shoulders, which means they don't have the football look of shoulder pads.The quality is good but the fabric seems a tad light and might get ripped over time, maybe after a year or so. I would say this is a fun play product for kids under 7 years old, but could be better ofr 7-9 year olds. Two Star Reviews: | 2% Poor quality shirt, helmet fine August 19, 2017 I'm only giving 2 stars because the decal on the shirt peeled off after one wash. The helmet was fine. New and Covered in Dust December 16, 2015 Item was exactly what I ordered. The only issue I have is that the helmet was covered with a layer of dust and cobwebs like it had been sitting in somebody's attic for the last five years. Easy enough to clean and my grandson will love the gift, but a customer should not have to clean a "new, in the box" item. Cheap and See-Thru October 27, 2015 Cool, but definitely can tell it's cheaply made. Must wear a t-shirt under because it is definitely see-through. My son loves it because he can be like daddy and wear his Bills Jersey whip watching football. Disappointing October 17, 2015 I got this for my son's 9th birthday but the jersey is thin and cheap and tiny. I'm going to have to rush to find him a different gift because I know he would be disappointed, too. Scratches all over helmet and logo not even. December 18, 2013 I received the NFL Broncos Replica Youth Helmet & Jersey today. It is supposed to be a Christmas gift for my 5 year old son. The helmet has scratches all over it and the bronco horse sticker on the sides of the helmet are uneven. Obviously uneven! I am not sure what I will do yet, return it or keep it because the Broncos set is sold out and it's just a play toy. He's obviously going to put a few more scratches on it the same day he puts it on. Also, around the edges of the sticker (the navy blue outlining) the color is coming off. There are scratches of white around the outside of the sticker. This product could be better.Update: 2-stars for the product, 5+-stars for Amazon customer service. Amazon customer service is excellent and went above and beyond in helping with my damaged product. If you happen to receive a damaged helmet, which I hope you don't, Amazon is very helpful. Glue in my son's hair January 18, 2012 I had thought I was ordering the set with the pants too. Its packaged exactly like the sets with pants. Even more importanty, there was a significant amount of sticky glue in the top of the helmet. When the package arrived, my son excitedly put it on and ended up losing a chunk of hair trying to pull the helmet off. You can imagine how that impacted a 6 year old.
