I bought the Large Extra Large option in white. It fits perfectly. Definitely buy the bigger one if you expect it to run small. If you have a larger head, this may not fit you well. I am a female and don't have a large head and that size was a perfect fit although I expected more room with the sizing. Great quality, shipped very well. Nice hat, I love it!

I got this hat for one reason: An inexpensive way to keep the sun off my bald head - and avoid sunburn - during summer activities. When I say "summer actvities" I mean watching parades, sitting around at neighborhood cookouts, and just generally being stationary in the heat. In other words, I have absolutely no idea how well it will hold up for someone who is running, jumping, etc.It has worked really well for me. Sturdy enough to hold up to day-to-day use but not so expensive as to cause worry if it should happen to get lost or destroyed. I get lots of compliments on how good it looks... I think this has more to do with people being more used to seeingbaseball hats than the classic fedora-style. Whatever, I'll take the compliments.So, it's a pretty good quality hat. The price is right. As far as size goes, I wear a 7 5/8 hat so I ordered the larger size, it fits well.

Love this hat! I bought it for vacation, and it held up well being somewhat smooshed in my luggage.

Packaging was somewhat flimsey but the hat arrived quickly and in fine condition. I was so surprised t the quality! Would buy it again in a minute.

I believe the only flaw with this hat, was it a little bit too big. Other than that it's great for what I had payed for.

This was exactly what I wanted for the summer! It is so very cute and comfortable! I bought the small/medium size and it fits well, which is nice because I have a smaller skull than most due to a genetic malformation that you can't see by looking at me, but I can tell when buying things like hats (but there's enough room for anyone with average size skulls to fit nicely, lol).I was very impressed by the service as well. It was shipped to me very quickly, and I received it 2 days before the expected shipping date. I can't wait to wear this out! I will absolutely be using this seller again for more cute hats!

I had this before. I bought it 10 years ago. Some things about this were nice and some were very disappointing. My earlier one of these fit exactly the same and was by the same company, but the Indiana Jones pin was easier to take out of the had, since it had a push pin backing and not two weird metal prongs. I DO NOT want this hat to be an Indiana Jones prop when I'm wearing it. The Indiana Jones in the movie wouldn't have had a pin. The change that I didn't like was that the hat shape changed slightly, in that the fedora top now caves in with a defined center cup, where as the old one was simply dented in without a deep depression. Looks more like a cowboy had because of the depression, and less like a classy jazz musician hat, which is what I used to use it for, with a full suit. The new change that was good is that the front and back now curve down toward your face while the sides curve up, which is good for blocking the sun and looks more "Indiana Jones", but the bad thing is that since the sides curve up gradually, like a curl, it takes on even more cowboy look, which is bad for my jazz musician look. Oh well! Still great for the $<40 I paid, where as it was more the first time I bought it. The reason I had to buy it again is that I read that felt hats can withstand water, and that a hat should protect your head in rain, so I wore it outside in rain for years. After three or four years of getting rained on and drying, it started to lose some of the brown colorant and gradually turned more orange/red, which ruined it for me. It also got crushed a few times in ways it didn't bounce back from, because I left it crushed in a hot car for a few months, but I still wasn't going to wear a red fedora, without being a pimp.

Wonderful hat. Had one and my son thought he lost it....so he ordered this......then of course we found the first one.He's happy!!

Nice hat, but don't use the picture as an exact view of what you will receive. There are a number of Indie hats out the and the one I received was the one I wanted. The price was definitely right.

I would have bought the oiled sailcloth version if I had found it first on Amazon but now that I have this hat, I'm liking it a lot. The 3" brim is perfect for keeping the rain off my eye glasses and its warmth has been appreciated in recent freezing temperatures. This hat is perfectly sized. My hat size is 7 3/8 and size Large fits me perfectly.The Indiana Jones trademarks are a bit much - three inside and one metal tab on the outside hat band - but this is after all a licensed product and maybe these trademarks are desirable for some people. The metal Indiana Jones tab on the hat band is easily removed by slipping fingers behind it and bending the two metal tabs inward. I removed and discarded this metal tab immediately - it left two small holes in the hat band but they are barely noticeable.This hat is dressy enough to look good with my ancient khaki London Fog rain/overcoat and when wearing a suit. It wasn't what I was originally looking for but I think it will be more suitable for three-season wear than what I was looking for.

I bought this for two reasons: I have wanted Indiana Jones' hat for a long time and I needed something to wear while I work outside. I have not been disappointed on either count.This hat is completely authentic to the movies and fits really well, so long as you know your hat size. I was expecting a cheap hat that was thrown together to look like the movie, but this is actually a very high quality hat. The material is durable and stiff, will loosen with wear, and it is obvious that either a person who is very skilled in the art of hat-making or a very well tuned machine made this. (Personally, I'm leaning toward a skilled person.)I work landscaping which leads to long hours under the hot sun and this hat works very well in that it keeps the sun off of my head as well as breathes to keep my head cool.Even if this was not based on Indiana Jones' hat, I still would have bought it because it is of very high quality.

This hat is a nice straw hat that will look sharp yet not make my head feel hot all summer long.

After reading several negative reviews I guess I was lucky. I don't understand about the size difference, I wear a 7-1/4 and I got it in 3 days. Sorry to everyone that got burned. I love it, wasn't shocked it was a bit large. (A hat that's a little large is an easy fix with 1//2 a paper towel folded to fit and placed under the inside band) Really, what are ya goin to get with size small/med? I've gotten a lot of complements about the hat when I wear it. The stitching is not outstanding but it is good. I had to cut some loose threads, one was part of a stitch in the front. For the cost if it last thru the summer I'll be satisfied. So far it's held up well and hard to tell it's a straw hat.This style is not for everyone, if it's for you I would recommend it.

Bought this hat to wear to the Kentucky Derby this year. I'm not a 'hat' expert but I couldn't tell a difference from this hat and the Fedora hats that can cost serveral hundred dollars. Fabric is on the hat really well and will not come off. I wear a 7 for a fitted baseball cap and this hat fit perfectly. I ordered it last minute and it worked well with my Derby outfit! Great buy! Def worth the money!

Be very careful on sizing. Measuring your head as they recommend is not enough. I ended up going to a store to check sizing.

Company needs to put me on the payroll. First day I wore this hat I had 5 guys and 3 ladies ask me where I got it. Yesterday I had 3 people ask me where I got it, and a friend asked if he could wear it. Today at work Security stopped me, just to ask about the hat. I do agree with another reviewer, Dorfman Pacific is a great hat company, they do not need all of the "Indiana Jones" branding, it is a little over the top. However I was able to remove the butterfly pin from the ribbon with little difficulty. If not for the over branding, I would have given it 5 stars!

The hat comes it and I'm beyond excited. I measured my head to be 22.5 inches and ordered the large. It comes in and its measured as 23.5 inches inside. So far too big, but it fits my father's head and he loves it. So Merry Christmas Dad! It's a good looking hat, the quality is decent for "MADE IN CHINA", except for the ribbon around the top, loose threads in odd places. The logo isn't THAT noticeable, and can be removed. The brim is thick and its seam on the rim is very thick, unlike Indiana's who's is thin. And as other reviews will touch on, this is an Aussie style hat, so the brim is larger and flimsy, can't tilt the back up into form like a 20's style gangster.

I bought this to wear to an outdoor event being held in the snow (if you think it's bad when it rains on your parade, imagine snow!). Anyway, this hat helped keep me warm and dry. I like the shape and style. The little Indiana Jones clip is tacky-looking as noted by other reviewers; it can be removed, but doing so will leave holes in the ribbon (and if you're not careful you might further damage the ribbon in the removal process). The inside of the hat is absolutely covered with Indiana Jones logos/graphics. This is kind of embarrassing if noticed, as it seems (to me, anyway) to convey the message that your purpose is to look like Indiana Jones and that your hat is a costume hat (perhaps as opposed to a "real" hat). You can mostly avoid this by simply setting the hat down flat if it's not in use; it might damage a "good" hat to set it that way, but for this hat that really isn't a big deal. Of course, if you're buying this to top off a Halloween costume, the stupid Indiana Jones clip and ostentatious logo are not issues!

Good quality hat for the money. The only drawbacks with this is that it says Indiana Jones all over the inside of the hat.. There's even a pin on the outside that says Indiana Jones. I wish it didn't have all that... It's a bit overkill.I wasn't particularly looking for an Indiana Jones hat but realized that this is a good value hat for the money. I was looking for something to wear to prevent a tan. I keep it in the car so that if I have to be outside for an extended period of time I can pull it out and wear it for protection.Anyway I don't have a huge head but I go X large so it wouldn't feel tight. Only drawback is that if it's a windy day I have to hold it. I think that the Large would work well for most males. Small or medium for most females.

Ordered this hat as I have the same in white and white fits perfect. Black arrived and was larger than white and shaped different as well. Ok hat but a lot of variances between manufacturing.

This is made for people with small heads. Its a cute hat though. When i recieved it the package was damaged and so was the hat.

I got many compliments on this hat but it was not the most comfortable to wear. I felt myself adjusting it frequently. I know some Fedora hats can run small but this seemed a little too small. I needed it for an event so I did not have time to return it for another size. The hat is really nice though.

I really like this style. I think the front is too high on most fedoras, but not this one. It arrived flat and wrinkled. It took shape well enough but it's still wrinkly. I would give 5 stars if it weren't for the wrinkles.

This hat is too small for my head. I ordered the large/xlarge. I measured the hat and its 21 1/2 inches. My head is 23 1/2 inches so I think I need an xlarge. It's a cute hat though, I just can't wear it.

This hat was a gift.. The packaging was poor, no packing inside of box -that was crushed in on one side. The hat was dented. As it was intended as a fun gift and only a couple of days until Christmas, I steamed it and wore it myself until it dried to get the dent out.I didn't expect a lot for $10, but have bought similar hats for less that were better quality. Some of the pieces of "straw" were sticking up at the top.

Nice enough hat for costume purposes. Could not wer it as a everyday hat as it would wear quickly, but this looks fairly close to an Indiana Jones hat at a decent price. The only drawback with this one and wth many other Indian Jones hats is that they come with a pin on them that says "Indiana Jones" on it that is very difficult to remove without damage the hat a little leaving the pinmarks behind.

hat is great and crushable and fits well. However after one hike the fold near the band started changing colors, it is no longer a dark brown but seems to be a lighter discolored felt. I still like the hat but am not sure how much more it will spread as i wear it. Overall i like it but may look for a better one as this one is just ok.

While this hat is well made, I am disappointed that it does not look like the picture of the product - the brim is rolled up on both sides and rolled down front and back. I expected a brim that was basically flat all the way around...Made in China...

Arrived Damaged. Bummer. Being Charged to Ship it Back. Wish I could Fix it instead. Crimped along the Brim and Crown.Pity. Nice Hat otherwise. Will Shop elsewhere for this Style for the Weekend.

Bought an large;XL which in itself is a bad way to sell a hat as its supposed to be a large or an extra large.This hat runs way way small barely fits on the back of my head,

This has just fits my eight year old son. It came flatten and creased in an unusual way. It is only suitable for a child.

For the price, it gets 3 stars. For the long delay in shipping from China, much less. The fit is too small for me, so don't order if you have a larger sized head.

First, it took nearly a month to arrive. It was boxed in too small a box; the box was crushed in the mail. As a result the straw hat was somewhat crushed out of shape! So, it doesn't fit very well.

1. On the white hat there is a small black defect, I was forced to invent how to paint.2. Cardboard box, which was delivered my order was ridiculously small and soft. Certainly, during transportation the hat's shape very suffered.3. Delivery was 1 month after the deadline, so I had to wait almost 2 months.

Kind of brown with a little purple. Hats sizes vary so much but it seems a little small. Also the crown could be a little taller. More like a hat you would buy at Disney than a serious hat. Ill keep it but not sure if I will ever wear it. Another one for the collection.

After checking my exact hat size, measuring my head, looking at other Dorfman Pacific hats I own...I ordered accordingly. Big mistake. I have to take this hat to a local Hat Store to have it stretched to fit me.

My biggest complaint it the brim is not flat. The picture shows a flat brim and mine is no where even close to that much closer to a cowboy hat. I am slightly disappointed.

First off is the name. Simply because a fedora is brown does not mean that it should be called Indiana Jones. I was actually trying to find a fedora similar to the one from the movies, and this hat is definitely not it. It's a very shallow hat, so don't expect to be able to pull this very far down over your forehead - and that's with this particular hat being too large for me. Also, this is a very modern style fedora - short brim, curled up in the back slightly.

In comparison to what you see in the films - this hat has wider brim, and a shorter crown. If you're going for a real, authentic Indy look, look elsewhere. The price and material does make it perfect for kids, halloween, and cheap cosplay.

I had to send mine back because it was too big but it was a nice hat. It's too bad it had all the costume stuff on it. The manufacturer is making a big mistake IMO, playing on the Indiana Jones theme, it isn't necessary.This would be a good hat without all the movie hype. I think they would sell like hot cakes if they would get rid of the Indiana Jones business.

Hat seemed to be a reasonable quality for the price. Issue is sizing, I got the XL and it was way too small; had to return.

Complete garbage of a hat. The fit is wayyyy off. Just as everyone else has commented, hat comes damaged as if it has permanent dent from packaging.

Didn't like the material of the hat and the ribbon was very cheap and coming off. It also came all bent up in the box from the post office.

Pretty disappointed in this hat. The fit was ok but the quality was poor. It has odd colored strings woven in the pattern of the hat. Of course made in China. I'm not going to recommend this product.

LARGE is way too small. I also didn't like design...brim isn't same width all way around. Has big front of brim & small back, so cant really turn down the brim all the way around if you don't want the back in 'up' position.

100% paper thin :(. Arrived in a crushed thin box so hat was crushed as well and very thin material so not hardy.I guess for the price I should have expected it. Disappointed

Looked nice on the page, it was bloody huge and made me look like I was wearing a carport on my head. I returned it.

I'm not sure what I expected at this price point, but this is a Halloween costume quality hat, not something that you can wear everyday. The fit was a few sizes big, but the quality was so bad that I returned it anyway.

Admitadly im still more than a little upset but the hat i received was absolutely not the one in the picture, its shorter, the brim is wider; almost floppy and the material is some cheap fuzzy substitute not the quality material in the picture. Plus its literally covered in cheezy indiana jones logos. The pin on the side is removable but not without mutilating the hat. Lastly i very carefully measured my head several times and the smallest measurement i could get was still larger than amazons size x large so i got an extra large and was expecting it to be small and it was probably four inches to big. I paid decent money for this hat i expected a quality product, not a cheap floppy fuzzy cheezy bad costume hat. I was really expecting something better after reading all these raving reviews but i strongly disagree. Unless you're ok with returning this you should buy your next hat in person.
