This is a panama hat, with a thick sturdy brim that would easily move with wind, but not fall in your face as soon as you put it on. The hat came packaged not in a box, but in a bag, but had a plastic from to hold the base of the hats shape as to not be misshapen during transit, the brim did become a little bent, but nothing a little ironing wont sort out. | | | |

| Nice fedora for low price but a bit large...December 11, 2015 For the price, this is a good hat. Mine was missing the black ribbon which might have helped it fit better. My head is larger than average and still I had to pull it down to the top of my ears. It blows off easily in anything stronger than a light breeze which can be annoying.I did find an excellent black satin ribbon trim from a milliner online which is adjustable and can be removed. I'm hoping that helps it fit better.Do yourself a big favor and google how to measure yourself for a hat correctly. It's easy and will save you any sizing disappointment. Just Go To The StoreOctober 19, 2015 I'm not sure what hat I was shipped but it was nothing like any of the reviews I read. It was too small (which is my fault not theirs), the black band around the top of the hat was loose and not even seen down, the packaging was it shoved in a plastic bag and therefore made the hat fold in on itself. I also read that this was a stiff wide brim and it was not at all. It was a soft brim that fell in my face when I tried the hat on. Overall the material was nice, the hat itself was very well made just quite disappointing it wasn't for me.Update: I will be returning this product however I just wanted to add a few stars because the company themselves emailed me and have helped me sort out the return process with ease. They were extremely polite and went out of their way to see if there was anything further they could do. Great customer service!
