Don't be afraid of this item, it works like brand new

I ordered this computer from amazon and it was marked as 'used, damage to packaging'. I ordered it on a Saturday morning and it arrived on Monday. After a VERY easy set up, I plugged in the included mouse and key bored and started surfing the web. Although I am very very happy with the computer I am not happy with the included windows 8.1 or the upgrade to 10.

My third Dell. This one came with Windows 8.1 with a free upgrade to Windows 10 which a good friend did for me. GREAT RESULT compared to my 2000XP Operating System. What can I do with 600 G BITS OF MEMORY ??? Arrived in PERFECT shape from Amazon. More than I need, but I'm glad that I have it. Just happen to be USING it right now.

windows 10, all the current ports, good motherboard and processor, high quality standard machine for any regular home user for browsing, MS office, movies etc. gaming would definately tax this machine, it is not made for that. i am considering buy 4 more gb of memory... not necessary tho. best machine for this price...luv how amazon coordinates the manufacturers for us to put out an amazon quality product... super. just buy it if yours is 5 or more years old...wireless, bluetooth, usb3 port, windows 10...just do it.

My last computer was a Gateway with Vista on it, so naturally this is a vast improvement. Unlike my old Gateway, I like the keyboard and mouse that came with the Dell, and the sleek design of the box. It's smaller too and lightweight. No major problems so far. A couple of minor complaints -- I don't like the white power button light. I prefer blue because it's less distracting. I know that's very trivial, but I don't see why they went to white. Less trivial is the problem of Windows 10 freezing during restarts (not sure if 8.1 had that problem too, or not), so when I have to restart, like after upgrading software, I shut down instead and then start it up again. Also, some advice: if your PC comes with windows 8.1, upgrade your Dell Backup & Recovery BEFORE upgrading to Windows 10 or it messes things up. One other observation, but this is a Windows thing, not a Dell thing -- the Windows Calendar is worthless because it only works online, so I had to install Rainlendar. Vista had a better calendar. Bottom line: I haven't had the computer very long. It might crash and burn at any moment. But so far, so good.

To begin with it is wonderfully lightweight. It comes with a keyboard. Has 5 ports. Easy to set up. Best of all it works! So I'm very pleased with my purchase so far. Think that the price was right.

I use this computer for research along with my writing. It's working out very well.

Great purchase! Especially for the price. I bought this for my 6 and 4 year old and there hadn't been a single issue. Came out of the box ready to go!

I purchased this for my 80 year old mother. She will not be doing a whole lot with it, so being an older XP machine that is a rebuild and running Win 7 Home will work perfect for her. The price is well worth the quality. Thanks

Arrived two and half weeks ahead of schedule, and was well packaged. Within 30 minutes computer was up and running. Monitor, keyboard and mouse appear to be brand new. The only thing we've found wrong is a tiny foot missing from the bottom of the computer housing which made it rock a little bit. A tiny piece of folded paper taped to the bottom fixed this right up. Did not include Microsoft Office. For the price we paid for this system, we are very pleased as long as it continues performing like it has so far. Would absolutely order from this company again.

It is a great computer but I wish it was a little more user friendly when using the device that plays the cd's getting into the assigned area can be a little awkward.

I've been using this for over two months with no issues. Decent speed and perfect for moderate use. We don't do any high level work on it but perfect for basic Internet needs as well as for office work.

All in all the computer is fine and as I had expected; however, the keyboard that came with it is cracked which may have occurred in shipping but nevertheless cracked and a piece fell off.

If I were evaluating this against a standard desktop computer, I would give it less than 4 stars. But for the price, this is a pretty good machine. It's not without its issues--even after purchasing and installing additional memory, I still get frequent low-memory warnings that force me to close my browser, and every time I turn the computer on I get the following message: "This version of audio esp is not intended for this operating system." I just X the message out and it doesn't seem to have any effect on the computer or sound, so it's more a nuisance than anything else, but it does seem like something that should have been taken care of before the computer was shipped out.The monitor, keyboard and mouse are all very nice quality and work great. I especially love that the monitor is adjustable in height (if your monitor arrives locked in the lowest position like mine was and won't slide up, just push it down a bit and the lock will release and let you slide it up to your preferred height). The tower has a couple of dings and scratches, but they are only cosmetic and don't appear to affect performance (at least as far as I can tell). The speakers were terrible--they were flimsy and produced a constant crackling noise like a radio with a bad signal, but I figured that they were the least critical piece of hardware, so I wasn't too disappointed. I bought these instead and they work great: AmazonBasics USB Powered Computer Speakers (A100).Again, my rating is for the value of the product for the price. For a little over $100, this is a great buy. As long as you are not expecting the versatility or performance you'd get with a newer, more high-end machine, this is definitely worth the money.

The Windows key was expired. But I don't use Windows. But still a very good deal

Only Thing Wrong With Mines I Got Was a Couple of the Keys On the Keyboard Was Broke Off but Other Than Thst Its a Good Deal!!!

This computer has suited my needs so far. Just recently discovered my printer is not working. Can't find a solution! !! Even reinstalled!

Runs slow right out of the box. But serves its purpose for the price. I primarily use it for Microsoft Office suite programs, video streaming, and internet. Processes are slow but do-able. I'm a graduate student and needed a budget savvy desktop, just wish it had RAM expansion availability.

It works ok but runs slow or freezes on restart.

It's an insomniac; it won't stay asleep for more than an hour or two. Also, I need an instruction book.

I'm liking the new windows ten and this seems to be working well just a few issues with it not wanting to restart properly.

Nice compact size but even after removing the bloatware the system was still too slow as far as I am concerned. Has been installed for over a month now and no issues at all though from the user. Upgraded it to Windows 10 and the speed was better.

The "tower" arrived but never received the screen or the keyboard/mouse. For now I'm satisfied with the tower and its overall performance.

problems with black out it will just go blank on you for no reason. Keyboard suck but its really cheap and mouse also. so its refurbished and good buy for price but has issues. Monitor is rally nice for someone who has vision issues and its adjustable.

Disappointed with the condition and quality of the items. The computer was Dell but nothing else was (monitor/mouse/keyboard). The monitor had a piece broken off the corner, though it does still work. There were no speakers included and the usb port on the mouse was broken so I couldn't plug it in. Lastly, the the items appeared physically dirty, when I would expect that they would be given a quick wipe-down before shipping. I understood that this would be a used computer not in perfect condition, but this fell short of what I think can reasonably be called good quality used/refurbished.

It works.

When the item was first purchased, it worked great. using it for school was great. Not even one year later and its now very slow when just doing one thing at a time. Always not responding to functions. Needing to shut down often.

slow to boot. slow to open programs/apps. error messages that don't make sense. freezes on re booting. wouldn't do it again.

Not a bad desktop for the money. I should have spent more to get more. Very slow, needs a video card. Not Dell's fault.

Windows 10 is not available. I set the pop-up control at max setting. The next day it is back at the bottom with pop-ups that you cannot delete without turning the machine off.

It was a 64 bit not 32 which I needed

I bbought 2 of these refurbished computers for kids and they are now trash because they won't turn on and the weirdest thing is they both stopped at the same time.... the monitors worked but computers didn't..

Didnt have monitor power plug or compatible keyboard

Not at all what I expected in a refurbished computer. Non-stop error messages, very slow, and getting worse. Every other refurbished item I have bought worked like new.

windows keeps giving a warning that software not certified

The cd/dvd door fell off in unpacking should have sent back then but decided not to sweat the small stuff. Crap computer never has worked right. had to pull out the one Gateway it replaced and it's still working. Won't ever buy refurbished again and won't ever by Dell anything either. Waste of money and stole a lot of my time.

This is older lap top arcitecture in a small footprint desktop case. The only expandability is to double the 4GB memory to 8GB (which I did) and it's still a pile of slowly decaying garbage. It is slow during regular use and if you have more than one window open, you will be reminded of the old x86 days when you could actually crash a system by trying to do two or three things at the same time. I hate it and am hoping to dump it off on some other uninformed fool. Replaced with an actual desktop computer within one year.1 star as a computer5 stars as a reminder of the bad old days.Meh.

I thought that this computer would be faster for everyday use. It drags and I've turned off everything that I can think of to improve its speed. It takes to long uploading in the morning when its first turned on. I had an old Vista system that was faster.

Don't buy this computer. I feel like I am back in 1999. It is painfully slow. I even upgraded it to 8GB of RAM and I can hardly tell the difference. Uggghh can't even return it. No clue how this thing gets high ratings on Amazon. Save your money and spend $100 more for something better.

This computer didn't work right from the start. Start menu wouldn't load (critical error message several times), which meant accessing any programs was impossible until I created shortcuts on the desktop in desperation. Consistently froze on Restart. Contacted Dell support several times but they could not fix. Finally decided to return.

The worst desktops i had in the last 15 years ! very slow and noisy. feel and sounds like 2002 old desktops. and just to add that Dell setting make things even worst .

This computer broke in two weeks we cant getit fixed anywhere it was a waste of money

I got a computer that didn't work and besides that I had to pay $54.44 to ship it back.

The power supply and motherboard went out in two weeks. The memory is too little and without downloading anything the computer was freezing. The monitor and keyboard were ok

What The Hell, I Ordered a complete Dell Computer Desktop with Monitor Keyboard and Mouse. What I received was an Off Brand Laptop.

Ordered for Christmas came on time but monitor wouldn't turn on and keyboard was completely broken. Couldn't tell you if the computer even worked!!!
