Absolutely fantastic universal remote! I originally had decided to buy this remote because my Magnavox sound bar remote died and I didn't want to pay $25 for a new remote. Now I have just one remote for my sound bar, Blu-ray player and tv! So nice. You can't program the Amazon prime stick but no biggie! The auto program function worked with my sound bar but I had to manually program my Magnavox TV and Sony Blu-ray player! I also love the way the remote looks since it is almost identical to the Samsung TV remotes. I highly recommend this remote if you want to declutter!

Nice Remote. Used it to replace the remote for my old RCA TV. Set it up for the TV and the Digital Conversion box. Worked fine for both. The instructions could have been a little better, but they always could. If you are looking for a replacement remote this one is worth the price.

I love this remote and definitely recommend it to anyone who needs one remote for all their devices. All the codes worked on first try. I have a 2002 Phillips videotube, a stb and an extremely old dvd player and I needed one remote to control all of them. the codes worked on first try. My apple tv also worked, but in the settings I had to unlink it from it's factory remote. I've also tried it in my bluray player and it's worked great. This remote works with all my stuff and I will definitely be buying more for me and my friends in the future.

This is the handiest remote I have ever purchased. I have a Samsung Smart TV and Direct TV Satellite. I needed a remote that works with both so I did not have to keep switching back and forth between a TV remote and Satellite remote. (I have a problem with keeping up with remotes, so I need a backup.) This let's me quickly switch from Direct TV to my Smart Tv menu to watch Netflix, Hulu, Youtube, etc. which I watch more than the Direct Tv. I really love the back light when it's the middle of the night and I néed to see the remote. I choose this over my Direct TV remote since I can not use it for my Smart TV.

Totally satisfied with the product. When the original remote of my Emerson TV was broke (thanks to my 3 yrs old) I called emerson and looked for that remote. They gave me a quote of 35$ with shipping for the original remote. Then I started looking for a substitute in amazon and after much research I settled on this one, and I am happy to say my choice was not wrong.The product came in as advertised with a set of manual and code list, without the batteries though. I need to put in 2 AAA batteries for it to work. The only overhead is that I need to program this remote by putting in the codes provided with it one by one until one of them starts working. It has a number of codes for all most all popular model TVs and streaming players. The instruction was step by step and very clear, it took me less than 5 mins to program it with my TV model. Once programmed it performed all the functionalities as my original remote and the bonus is that it has the capability to control 3 other devices. So it is total win :).

I've had universal remotes for 30 years and this one is great, I hate to fumble with a bunch of remotes just to watch a movie. This was easy to program and I really like the learning feature for those buttons that don't program with the code and my HDMI switcher box that I need to manually learn. The blue backlight is also great for watching movies in a dark room, and it's a steal at this price!

Works just like I remembered, had one before but it eventually died.. As stated not Rf but i didnt like the logitech rf extender any way. I instead used star tech ir extender. Just use enclosed US power adater, and your good to go..

I got this to replace my TV remote where all the keys were sticking. It was really easy to program with the auto detect. I would have given 5 if the DVR would have full functionality. I can't get the set up screen to program or format a DVD. Also the DVR buttons that i use the most are near the top so it makes it a little hard to hold.I do like the led back light for night use.

The only reason this is not a 5-star review is that this remote will allow pass-through volume control to pass TV or Receiver volume control when on DVD/VCR device. But will not allow pass-through for the audio device when on TV. So if I have a TV with speakers off and listen to the sound through my Receiver (a common set up for home theater) I have to switch devices to control volume, then switch back to control TV. Other than that it's a decent remote. Very easy to program and lots of codes. Also each input button can be switched to control any type of device, so if you have 2 TVs or both a DVD and VCR you can configure that.

Needed a remote for my setup: Samsung LED Smart TV, Sony soundbar and Sony Smart Blu-Ray player. I don't have any type of cable/satellite subscription so I didn't have the typical universal remote which comes with the service. I use either View TV Outdoor Amplified Antenna or ViewTV Amplified Outdoor / Indoor Attic HDTV Antenna for channel surfing then my internet service for streaming TV (Netflix, Hulu, etc.).Couple things: The "Options" button doesn't work for using Netflix on my Blu-Ray player, you can't lock the volume control to the sound bar and there doesn't seem to be an "All Off" button. When I turn on the TV or Blu-Ray player, the sound bar and TV will come on, but I have to switch between each component to turn them off. Not a big deal, still a very useful remote for my situation and the price.

NOTICE: First of all this unit is RCRN04GR for 4 devices. At the time of written of this review the pictures shown for the product is correct. The description and item/product number were mixed with the RCRN06GR, a 6 devices remote.This Remote comes with manual and device code list but no 2xAAA battery, which explained pretty clearly and detailed. Directions were easy to follow, thanks to RCA technical writers. So far after about a week of using it, it functions very well. To my needs, I spent some time to play around with the TV codes. You may find couple of them would work but there might be just one that worked the best which in my case 90% of the function were there.The buttons were a bit small, but using your finger tips problem solved. As other reviewer mentioned, the backlite on the keypad was not very desirable, pretty dim and not lighten to all keys. Well people shouldn't be watching TV in darkroom anyway =). Handle and grip were good and had a good feel to it, it could be held firmly in palm.Overall the remote was nice, functions well as needed, definitely a great replacement for my device remote. A star were taken off due to the confusing description on AMAZON product page and backlite function on the remote.

I loved my Harmony remotes right up until they quit, but I didn't want to drop a fortune on a new remote again. After getting a new TV stand with a built in fire place and sound bar that each came with their own remote, I decided I needed a universal remote again for the 5 devices. Most universal remotes can't handle the fireplace or the brand of the built-in sound bar. Since this is a learning remote it was able to learn the 5 commands for the fireplace and the 12 for the sound bar. My other devices were programmed well and quickly. My only grippe would be that not all of the leaning commands worked the 1st time. I had to test then out and redo the ones that didn't work right. In the end though everything works like you'd want it to. You can even create macros to give multiple commands together.

For the price, this works pretty good. It's pretty easy to program whether you use auto code feature, enter the codes manually, or if you use the learning function. I did all 3 of these features and it works fine. I also programmed one macro which simply plays back a series of keys that you already have programmed, that works fine as well. The back-light is nice and bright, but it only illuminates the keys them selves which have symbols that don't really make sense to me in many cases. The written name of each key is above the keys and you can't see that in the dark when the keys are illuminated. I took off one star because of that, but if you can remember the key symbol for all the functions you use, then the back-light will be great, as you c an see the symbols very well.

Second universal remote from Logitech, this one also does its job, the touch screen is not as sensitive as i would expect.

This remote is much more user friendly than some of their others I have used. Remembering it is not the 1100, there are a few things it doesn't do. I am happy to have it.

A BASIC and easy to program digital remote with the codes given. Yet, the TV part of the remote includes NO favorite channels or channel list key. The remote lights up only half of it, like in my photo. The light-gray keys are hard to read due to lack of contrast and the print is very small. The Input key, used to switch devices, works only when I press the TV key, not when I'm using the DVD. The digital dot or hyphen (-) for sub-channels works only with the TV mode, not with the VCR. So, in order to change to a specific channel with my VCR mode, I have to go through all channels! This item did come on time and new but is not what I expected.

I purchased this for my daughters TV/DVD combo as hers decided to die on us. I like the fact that it was easy to sync to the television. There is no eject button for the DVD player, no big deal. The OK button, however doesn't appear to work. Usually when a DVD menu is up, to play it, you hit OK but nothing happens. Also, the back light? What a joke. It lights up "through" the buttons around the center of the remote and that's about it. All in all, it works okay but I will be trying to find a factory remote for her television.

Works fine, with a few caveats. The light doesn't actually light all of the keys, and won't make the lettering visible in the dark, but it's enough to see what you're doing if you're familiar with the layout. Also, unlike most other remotes I've used, you have to reprogram it whenever the batteries come out, whether by being dropped or just changed.

I have used RCA remotes for some years because I was an early adopter of the Roku streaming devices. The RCAs are about the only inexpensive remotes that control the Rokus. Like most inexpensive remotes the signal angle is pretty narrow and not very powerful. Unfortunately build quality is way down with this latest model. Most of the keys on the left side are sticky and it just has a cheap feel. As others have noted, the back light feature is almost too dim to be useful. This was for a cheap Quantum View tv, (Wally World). To my surprise the remote worked this tv with no programming!

I'm afraid I was one of the unlucky ones to receive a faulty device (from what I can tell). I tried two sets of brand new AAA batteries, but the remote wouldn't respond or light up. It does look pretty decent though and feels nice ergonomically. And the programming directions did not seem too confusing. Other comments said the backlighting wasn't effective at all, but for $8, that would have been fine with me. I ordered the 4-device version, but the reviews for the 6-device remote seemed more positive. Plus, the backlighting looked way better. So I ordered the 6-device remote. I will update my review when I receive it. Hopefully it isn't another dud!

Purchased for my living room. It is set to operate an LG TV, Yamaha Receiver, Sony Blu-Ray player, and a DirecTV box. Easy to program, I had everything working within 15 minutes. And it operates the guide and DVR for the DirecTV box properly, as well as some advanced functions on the Blu-Ray player. My main criticism would be that the IR transmitter has an odd shape that restricts the transmission angle so the user has to be fairly precise when pointing towards the units being controlled. With other remotes, I can point in the general direction of the unit and it works, but this remote has to be more exact.Update: About 1.5 years in, I have more mixed feelings. For something so inexpensive it was great. However, it would not consistently power off all units it controlled. after a little over a year, the unit itself broke. I can hear something rattling around, and it will not function at all.

I am scoring a 2 because I have tried to get this connected without success! The instructions keep telling me to connect the HDMI cable to my PC and the remote but no connection is detected. Any assistance can be greatly appreciated.

As others have noted, the back light is horrible! This was one of the main reasons I purchased it so needless to say, I'm not happy. Also, you have to point it right at the TV for it to work. Not a great remote. 2 stars!

Works okay, but it has to be reprogrammed any time you take the batteries out. This is annoying in any case, but especially if you have small kids who want to play with the remote. The backlight also is so faint there might as well not be a backlight at all.

I bought this remote to use in bed at night. I'm disappointed.I specifically wanted a remote with backlight so that I could see the buttons without turning on the lights (and waking my spouse).The backlight is very dim and only lights some of the upper buttons.The price was good and the function of the remote is ok, but it's shape doesn't have a distinct feel of which end is up.So I often hit the wrong button because I'm holding it upside down.Again, I bought it because I wanted a unit that I could use in the dark. ......a swing and a miss here!

The bottoms are very nice and big. That's the only good things I can say about it. Programming is a nightmare. I have use many universal remote controls and this one has been by far the most difficult to program. I could not program it for the TV it was intended to be used. Once programmed (different TV), the buttons did not perform the function they suppose to do. Obviously I did not pick up the proper model within the brand, but I was not going to go over trying to program it again. I had to settle just to be able to turn the TV on/off and be able to use the volume button. Most import weakness of this remote control, you have to be aiming directly (very straight) to the TV in order for it to work. Again, I have bought about 10 different universal remote controls and has nothing to do with being a cheap remote. I have bought cheaper ones with much better results. It is a shame because it is a nice looking remote control.

I bought the 04 because I have an 06 and it works great. I bought the 04 for upstairs where I just have a TV and Tivo so I didnt need all the extra devices. Come to find out the 04 does not allow LEARNING which the 06 and 08 seem to do. So if you want to program individual buttons to learn from an old or original remote do NOT get this one. Get the 06 or 08.

As for the RCRN04GR remote....It WILL NOT program to the Dish Network 722 model. Wish it would at least accept punch through from the dishnet "remote" like some other brands of universal remotes do (additional minutes to program but gets the job done.) Apparently the RCA universal remotes are not so universal as they claim (dish network IS on their code list.) Tried programming using every single method provided and ALL FAILED. The provided code itself was accepted but all or any remote functions fail. They should properly inform consumers of the dishnet satellite/dvr issues. Disappointed and will look for another that functions according to its own claims & NOT just a PORTION of them.

I bought this roughly a year ago and tried syncing it but at the last step where you push play it's supposed to turn the tv off and it never worked. I figure after 5-10min I've tried long enough. I gave up and today I tried again and looked up videos and yahoo questions and looked up the model number and tv codes. I tried 10 tv codes I found listed for Toshiba, and since there's no code button on this model like it suggests in the instructions I found for typing in the tv code manually I adapted it a couple different ways and I give up again. I can't find any other directions and it should not be this hard for a basic remote, I would have bought a smart remote if I knew how much effort I was going to put into this, I wanted simple.

Wish I could give ZERO stars on this rating. This remote NEVER even worked. I honestly thought I just couldn't program it so I left it for my husband to try to figure out but we have a toddler so you can say our minds are on other things a lot of times. So time went by & we forgot about it. Well eventually we tried again & no it's not us that can't program it , it just truly doesn't work. Replaced the batteries , that's not it. Tried different programming , didn't work. Well anyway we missed our return window so I guess we paid for nothing. It sucks that our busy lives had us forget to return it. I honestly think we should get our money back anyway but that probably won't happen. I should've listened to all the bad reviews on this thing and never bough it in the first place. DO NOT BUY THIS POS REMOTE.

This remote WAS NOT what I was looking for...sadly . The picture looks nice but once received poorly designed as far as the backlighting goes. The whole reason I bought the remote was for the backlit keypad. Should have went with my gut and went to Target or where ever to remote control shop. I'm hoping the seller gives me my money back and a return at "no charge" .One star because I think the construction of this remote could have been better with the backlighting. I know they are out there...had them before. I'll keep looking :)

Wildly unsatisfied with this remote.1) Difficult to program. Have a Vizio TV, Vizio sound bar, and Roku 3. Took me hours of looking up codes online and combinations to finally get it to work. Even after I got it working, pain in the butt constantly having to push TV and other buttons to get it to control what I want it to when I just want it to work for everything at once.2) "Backlit" is a joke. There's a tiny little LED towards the top that illuminates like 4 buttons.3) Remote is INCREDIBLY unresponsive. I sit there and point it DIRECTLY at my TV or Roku and have to push the button repeatedly to get it to work.4) Arrow buttons are WAY too stiff. You have to mash them hard to get them to work.5) Rattling sound inside the remote straight out of opening. Also, batteries don't sit well at all in the big concave box they are in. If you, say, toss the remote on the couch as you stand up, the batteries will pop out. I'm not talking dropping the remote, I'm talking casually plopping it on the couch.I returned it - not even worth the seven bucks I paid.

Unit has little or no support for audio devices. I have a common Sony reciever and although ther are 3 sony codes, (none of which worked) when you look the device up on RCA's web site and search for any Audio devices it comes up blank even though the packaging proudly advertises in a large font "Audio Device Capable". You may want to give this one a miss and search online for your model number support BEFORE purchasing.

I bought this for my smart TV because I didn't like the ones that it came with, but I rather have that one than this one. First like few others, the light up feature only lit up blotch of green not like others full blue light, so I can barely see it in the dark. Second, I like to drift to sleep while the TV is still on, which the sleep button doesn't function of course unless go to menu and then go through all that trouble. Third, there's no programmable button to tell it to go to a specific app like Netflix. None of the buttons say what it's going to do, I have to search for it, like to get the menu is not the menu button on the controller, it's the guide button. I might as well buy a cheaper 12 button controller without all these fancy stuff if I never even use those extra buttons because they don't control anything!

Lasted a few months and stopped working. Don't waste your money.
