Five Star Reviews: | 71% Love it. Use half a teaspoon March 14, 2017 I use this instead of face wash. Love it. Use half a teaspoon, spread it across dry skin, and BAM - you've got clean and moisturized skin. I have combination skin (more oily than anything) that is prone to mild breakouts. I've been doing this for two years, and my skin has never been better. I am so in love! This makuna honey cleans my face very thoroughly ... December 26, 2016 I am so in love! This makuna honey cleans my face very thoroughly and leaves it nice and soft. I love it! really good for you August 20, 2016 really good for you. it cleared up my acne too when i used it as a face mask. worth the money. i put it in my tea as well. great cold remedy Love the Taste February 11, 2016 My finicky husband and I love the taste of this honey. When I felt a cold coming on, I took this honey by the tablespoonful twice a day. Before the cold, I took a teaspoonful once a day for maintenance. Although a cold is viral, the honey didn't lessen the intensity or duration of the cold. I still felt miserable. I must give compliments to how this honey kept a bacterial infection from starting. Nasal and chest mucus was normal with very little yellow and no green. So, no antibiotics for this gal! Always have some in your cabinet!!! January 13, 2016 Cures sore throat faster than anything else. Soothes stomach. Can even stop a Crohn's/Colitis flare up!!! You can use it as a face mask to knock out blemishes. | 76% Yummy stuff May 25, 2017 Been using this for the last year with my yogurt and fruit in the morning. I enjoy the taste but it is distinct. It is supposed to have added health impacts. I feel it does help regulate digestion some. Great for healing December 5, 2016 This stuff is awesome for healing a variety of issues. It's antibacterial and healing properties are great! Can't say enough about it. Super Honey that cures all. No really. April 15, 2016 This honey. Where to begin? It is AMAZING. I have given this to my friends with the bacteria H. Pylori, acid reflux, and stomach discomfort. Each and every one of them loves it and swears by it. Is it expensive ? Oh goodness, yes. Does it work? A resounding YES. Is it worth it? 100% YES! This product is so good, and the taste is so delicious, it is simply worth every single penny. It has a color of liquid gold, smells somewhat minty, and is extremely viscous. This honey is only found in the top hills of New Zealand where the manuka plant grows, and the huge bees that fly up at that elevation, giving a world renown quality and flavor that is so unique, I promise you, you will not regret trying this out. As a longtime Amazon customer, I rely on reviews from the Amazon community when making buying decisions. That being said, I only believe in giving honest and unbiased reviews. (The only thing we've found to do better is a friend's recipe for a homemade herbal salve.) A little pricey, but well worth the money. Best price we found was Amazon. Have acne? Apply it to our face! October 12, 2015 I use this as a mask and it is absolutely amazing! I apply is directly to my face (sometimes with a little cinnamon) and leave it on for about 30 minutes then rinse off. The redness on my skin and pimples have diminished and my skin feels great. Honey has natural anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties which are exactly want people with acne need. Excellent taste and healing properties December 18, 2012 The honey has a wonderful taste - rich, creamy and strong, excellent with tea or pancakes (although it feels a bit of a sacrilege to be using it this way). We also use it very successfully to help heal small skin injuries common in a household containing a 5-year old; a small amount of this honey works wonders on cold sores, nose and lip irritations caused by a runny nose, small scratches and such and does not raise any complaints from the patient because it does not sting and tastes good if one happens to lick it off. |
Four Star Reviews: | 13% Safer Than Nexium without the side effects December 8, 2016 Do not damage your kidneys using Nexium.MGO 250+ works well. MGO 400+ works better. Really great product, I take a spoonful of this when ... November 16, 2016 Really great product, I take a spoonful of this when I feel like I am coming down with something and I feel great. I love it! May 15, 2016 I have used manuka health manuka honey for years. I initially used it to help treat hpylori....now I use it in my morning smoothies everyday for general health. I love it! Helps build immunity May 9, 2016 I purchases manuka honey to drink in my tea to fight off disease. It has a stronger taste than other honeys I have used before but not bad. I also used this in my soap recipes. Worked! August 13, 2014 Tastes like raw honey. If you like that stuff, it's wonderful, if not, me too. But it sure did help my stomach heal! Would recommend anytime. | 10% Four Stars June 12, 2017 Love this stuff. We buy it for ourselves and others of our family and acquaintance. Always keep this in stock March 22, 2017 LOVE Manuka honey!! This came same day as ordered. We used it when we were hit with the flu and it went to work immediately. Remember to use a plastic spoon when using Manuka or any other raw honey products as the metal can inhibit the enzymes. Will keep this in stock. It is good honey. Not sure about the healing abilities January 21, 2017 It is good honey. Not sure about the healing abilities, but feel good using it. I deduct a star due to price. Gave that up after a few months of using nightly and am now eating it on sourdough which is much better tasting than your regula August 8, 2015 Purchased for acne - which did not work, although it made my skin incredibly soft. Gave that up after a few months of using nightly and am now eating it on sourdough which is much better tasting than your regular honey. It works so well, I use it for everything ... May 27, 2015 It works so well, I use it for everything from minor burns and cuts, stomachaches, etc.Con: Price has gone up so much since I started buying these(I remember it was around $25 for the same size) but that's probably because of the limited supply with such high demand, it obviously works and more people are discovering its effectiveness. Manuka Honey July 29, 2014 I purchased this for my son who is going through chemo and radiation. With the loss of taste and mouth sores, its medicinal properties seems to be helping him. It was delivered promptly although it was not packed a securely as I would have preferred, it arrived without damage. |
Three Star Reviews: | 7% This may be a good product but for my particular tastes February 24, 2017 This may be a good product but for my particular tastes, no. I prefer raw organic honey that hasn't been heated but because I had heard so much about how marvelous Manuka honey was I had to try it. Not for me. Expensive Honey January 10, 2016 Very small jar very big price. I had hear great things about this particular honey and thought I would try it for its homeopathic value. It is packaged in a very nice and sturdy plastic jar. I did not notice that I felt any better or worse after consuming it, it did not seem to help me with any gastro issues that I had that I purchased it to try for. I thought it had a strange slightly unpleasant smell and a strange aftertaste, although it works well enough to sweeten my tea. ... not work on my baby skin makes his eczema worst. December 22, 2015 Does not work on my baby skin makes his eczema worst. Three Stars... July 17, 2015 I use this for medicinal purposes, I am not sure how much benefit I am getting from it, so three stars for now. I've had better. July 9, 2015 I take this stuff for my stomach. I had gallbladder surgery that messed me up and it helps a bit. I didn't find this to be the best brand I've had. Or the best tasting by far. Manukau is always kind of weird tasting but this... Not the best. Does not taste like the raw organic honey I've tried before, but first time trying Manuka January 29, 2015 This is my first time tasting Manuka honey.I must say that my senses were surprised by the less than pleasing aroma and flavor which reminded me of a bandaid. Since I've never tasted a bandaid before I suppose something about the scent and flavor reminds me of plastic. The expiration date on this item is excellent so I can't say if the product is supposed to taste this way or if it was a bad batch. All of the other organic honey I've tried was always incredibly delicious. There are studies on the benefits of Manuka honeythat's 15+ or higher, so I suppose it's worth a shot to try another brand or batch. I noticed that after a while I became accustomed to the flavor and it was more palatable. | 5% Three Stars August 1, 2017 Rather small for the price but quality is of the essence when it comes to certain things its ok. July 24, 2017 different taste than the umf 20's. not gonna repeat because there's just too many other manuka honey's on the market to try. Three Stars February 24, 2017 Tastes great but smells horrible. Mixes well with tea. Didn't notice any overall health benefits. Each time I bought this honey, it's in different ... February 12, 2017 Each time I bought this honey, it's in different form and sealing mouth. Sometimes it's thick, sometimes it's thin. Sometimes it's sealing mouth has a pull mouth, sometimes it has not. I seriously doubt it's a fake product. Great product for the short-term. March 28, 2015 I got this for my husband because he was having throat issues and a friend said Manuka Honey was just what he needed. While it is soothing (like all honey), it is far too expensive to continue long-term use. Great product for the short term. Honey has good flavor, we'll have to wait and see about ... December 20, 2014 Honey has good flavor, we'll have to wait and see about the long term affects of using it.HOWEVER, the price is way high, I found a Manuka honey locally for $25.00, same size bottle. So I would recommend that you check out stores like Sprouts before buying this on-line...... just saying |
Two Star Reviews: | 3% Did not like the taste of this honey June 30, 2017 Did not like the taste of this honey. It has a very strong taste which is very clearly not like the taste of any honey I have tasted before. NOT VERY SWEET. June 24, 2017 I had bought this honey a few years ago, and it was delicious. This time it wasn't as sweet as the last one. overpriced and not as tasty or medically beneficial as my wonderful Airborne New Zealand Manuka honey January 26, 2015 Small jar, overpriced and not as tasty or medically beneficial as my wonderful Airborne New Zealand Manuka honey. I will not buy it again. Missing leading (15+), watch out and do your own research January 11, 2015 Watch out for the misleading (15+) this does NOT mean UMF 15+, MGO rating and UMF rating are complicated and there are plenty written about this subject. Although they are simply "orange and apple" rating, they are somewhat correlated, and according to a few web sites, MGO 250 is roughly correlated to UMF 5+. One should do thorough research and read the reviews carefully because some of the reviews are simply generic about the benefit of Manuka honey (in general) and not specific about this brand and/or about its specific rating (MGO 250 is different than MGO 500)...I used to get the Comvita Manuka honey UMF15+, they are excellent, until the vendor recently ran out of stock. I switched to this and I found this NOT as good as Comvita's Manuka UMF15+. The favor here is more diluted and too sweet. I doubt I will purchase this brand again. | 3% Two Stars February 13, 2017 this was purchased to help with my son's acne, but did not work as we had heard/thought! I ordered this without any knowledge about the Manuka honey ... February 23, 2016 I ordered this without any knowledge about the Manuka honey. After doing some researches, I really don't believe this is the real manuka honey, or at least 100% manuka honey. There's no such rating as Kfactor in Manuka honey except for the wedderspoon brand, and Wedderspoon is also not certified with UMF Honey association which you can find here(...)Just make sure you do some research before placing your order to make sure you're buying the real Manuka honey. Not sure January 20, 2016 Seal was broke on one of the two I ordered, it's very cloudy in color not sure if its old or what , doesn't taste very good at all - not sure what its suppose to look and taste like so I can't give a fair reviewApart from the seal was lifted up Very slight benefit. August 15, 2015 This product was not particularly helpful in resolving H. Pylori. It did not make symptoms worse, and it provided a modest benefit when taken before meals. The same result probably could have been accomplished by consuming a cracker or other small item of food. dark and tastes strongly sweet, with a slight grainy texture December 31, 2014 There needs to be more transparency, consistency and governmental oversight in the marketing of manuka honey and its potency claims across the board. Unfortunately, this includes one of the most popular and well-reviewed brands on Amazon.Note that the "Active 16+" label is not an indication of its UMF, MGO, or non-peroxide activity (NPA). It is unclear what is "active" here, or how this compares to other types of honey. How to explain the recent study in the UK finding that there was no detectable NPA in this honey - so how to distinguish this from other honeys? In short, I have questions about the nature of the product, given recent and ongoing media attention to the misleading advertising claims made and perpetuated by many manuka honey manufacturers. What distinguishes this product from table honey, and by what order of magnitude? I don't see any reason to pay inflated amounts to a multimillion dollar industry that does little to accurately and responsibly inform consumers, while profiteering from confusion and lack of industry regulation and governmental oversight of what constitutes "active manuka honey".Regarding the contents in the jar, it's cloudy, dark and tastes strongly sweet, with a slight grainy texture. Had a bad reaction on wound from the honey May 24, 2014 I was very excited about trying this product for a variety of uses after all the reviews. As timing would have it I had a small wound the size of a pea that looked like it was starting to get infected at the time I received the honey. Initially I had cold feet using the honey, so I first used peroxide followed with epsom salt soaks the first day and it was improving. I than spent several hours reading more reviews and doing more researching on this honey and I learned this particular brand was not authenticated by UMF . That concerned me, but with all the reviews on this particular product I wasn't seeing anything "bad" for some it did nothing, and many said it did wonders for their wounds and amazed doctors on quickness of healing with minimal scars for wounds much worse than mine so I decided to give it a try thinking worse it would do is nothing. I put a thin layer on the wound and the area surrounding my wound and covered it with a 4x4 inch sterile pad and taped pad down to prevent leaking of honey. After 4 hours I took it off and panicked as the entire 4x4 inch area was blistered and enflamed and the wound was worsened. I washed the honey off and went back to my epsom salt soaks followed with bacitracin ointment and sterile pad. Now another day later the rash/blisters are improving, but it is still worse than before the use of this honey. I am not sure if I am just one of the rare people that are allergic to Manuka Honey or if the product is poor quality and not real Manuka and thus I had a reaction. I don't know if its worth it to me to spend another $40+ dollars on a UMF verified Manuka Honey and risk another reaction to find out? My advice to someone wanting to try Manuka Honey is to buy UMF verified honey and than do a test patch on non wounded area of skin to make sure there is no reaction before putting it on an already wounded area and potentially worsening a wound along with a reaction like I did. |
One Star Reviews: | 6% Multiple tiny bugs found on the surface of the honey June 16, 2017 I order this product repeatedly and upon finally opening this current order I discovered multiple tiny bugs swimming on the surface of the honey. Not happy! April 22, 2016 Container was half opened when I got this item; honey was leaking out - did not feel comfortable using it as it appeared tampered with. I tossed it. did not work on h. pylori since I was ... April 2, 2016 It works! I had more energy almost immediately and the gastritis calmed down a bit. I am doing Manuka Honey Manuka Health MGO 400+ Manuka Honey (20+), 250gm - 100% Pure New Zealand Honey along with papaya seeds and am also drinking a tea called Stomach Ease. I believe the tea is by Yog http://www.amazon.com/Yogi-Teas-Bags-Pack-Stomach/dp/B000CMD63E/ref=as_li_ss_tl?s=grocery&ie=UTF8&qid=1464622085&sr=1-1&keywords=yogi+stomach+ease&linkCode=ll1&tag=undershomeopr-20&linkId=c2abd6fd40852adb47e2ee69ca413a5fi. That tea is fabulous. It actually works to calm stomach pain and inflammation. I am amazed. To make sure I irradiate all possible infections, I also take wormwood, walnut hull and clove tinctures. The ones I use are by the company Eclectic.I have only been doing the Manuka Honey for 2 days. A tablespoon each serving. Tastes like plastic December 18, 2015 I have ordered these before and they have been good, but this batch for some reason tasted like plastic and didn't have the same taste and strength at all. I am not even sure if this is 250+. I tried to contact seller but there was no such option. I would be cautious to by this product Fake or real one October 23, 2015 I give one star because the honey they send to me like a syrup. Not like usually I got like a jelly, make me confused witch one the fake one and the real one, but this kind of honey really work for me to healing my allergy | 6% Had high hopes with this honey March 7, 2017 After reading all the posts, I had high hopes that this would help with my health issues. I took like suggested by other members, and even applied on my skin but no improvement. This did have kind of a funny taste, so maybe it was just a bad batch of this particular honey.I may try another brand and see if I notice any other improvement.I'll wait out the rest of this jar and update if things change. 17.6 oz?? Not even 8 oz June 20, 2016 Not sure if it works. But it's not 17 0z. I would never pay 35.00 for 4oz of honey. My body's reaction to the product. March 15, 2015 Terrible reaction. Extreme burning to the point I could not tolerate & had to wash product from wounds. I really wanted to love this product February 28, 2015 Unfortunately, after performing thorough research I have come to find that Wedderspoon does not distribute genuine Manuka honey. I really wanted to love this product. Product arrived with broken seal and inner seal not affixed to opening. December 28, 2012 I'm not sure what I am going to do now. I received this honey today and immediately noticed the outer pink and black paper seal was no longer intact, next, I noticed the plastic seal around the bottle had also been unsealed, and lastly, the paper seal on top of the honey itself had been peeled off and was laying on the mouth of the jar!! I immediately went online to the seller's website, and discovered the item is not returnable. I sent a note to the seller as surely whomever packaged this most certainly realized the seal was broken, and since this is a nonreturnable item, I can only guess this item was tampered with by ????. Wow. Utterly unacceptable!!!! |
