Great remote, helps to consolidate multiple remotes into a single one.The installation process is fairly easy, you plug this into your computer via USB and it will install some logitech/harmony software on your computer. From there you will need the serial number/mfg numbers for the different devices that you want to loud up. For example, TV, soundbar, cable box, whatever it is. Then you type it in and it will load up straight onto the remote. From there the interface on the actual software on the computer is pretty straightforward on how to program buttons to customize what you want.If you have any doubts about what is compatible go straight to Harmony's compatibility checker on their website and check if your device is supported.
One Remote to Control Them All
June 21, 2017
I've never found a remote, even a programmable one, that would control my Cambridge Audio receiver. So with volume being the most frequently pressed button, unity seemed impossible. As a result, here was a box with the cable remote, the receiver remote, the DVD remote, the TV remote and a Roku remote under the coffee table. Evening viewing required a trip to Q's lab to assemble the proper kit.I now have one remote on the table. Even opens the DVD tray. Cable to HBO to Amazon to a disc to music is now painless and we find we've actually made more use of all our options now that its not a major logistics campaign to make a switch. The 350 also looks, feels and acts like a typical remote, so figuring out which button to press is fairly intutive. Simple is so underrated. Highly recommended.

Never had a remote like this where you can plug it into your compute and use software to program buttons. It worked for my Insignia LCD tv, as well as my Vizio 38" soundbar. Was happy to see that I could program each function of the old remotes onto this remote, like the bass and treble buttons. Worked perfectly for all my devices aside from the Firestick but I know I'd need the hub for that. Would definitely recommend to anyone that needs to make sure that their brand will be compatible.
Perfect for just one activity such as turning on the TV and running the Cable Box.
April 17, 2016
We have the Harmony ONE remote and absolutely love it. I purchased this remote to set up for my boyfriend's parents. They only needed a function to turn on the TV and options to control a few other devices but did not need all the different activities. At first I could never understand why anyone would buy this remote as it only has one activity available on it, but then I helped them set up their new TV and honestly it is perfect for them. An activity means that the remote will turn on your devices to the correct input and will control whichever device you tell it to during your programming of the remote. In this case, the WATCH TV activity will turn on their TV to the HDMI 1 input, and when you press the channel, menu or other buttons, you will be controlling the CABLE Box. The volume will still change on the TV... etc. If they need to turn on their surround sound, they have the DEVICE button which can control the surround sound, but they do not like to have it on all the time and most of the time us it just for listening to the radio anyways. It is a smart and reliable remote.
I love this remote!
September 29, 2015
The thing I like most about it is that it works with my HTPC and I think that this brand of universal remote is about the only one that does. Besides that it is really easy to program all you need to do is download the software off of Logitech's website install it and then plug in the remote to your PC. Then it will have you register it and create an account, because it saves how you program your remote online. After that you just need the model number to whatever device needs programmed into it and enter the number into the program. The software automatically Maps the buttons, but some may need altered which is really easy to do. If a certain command doesn't show up in the software the remote has a learning feature so that it can be added. Another nice feature is the Watch TV button which you can have it set so that it turns on your TV, DVR, and Surround Sound System just by pressing that button. If your like me and have a setup where you only want to adjust the volume through a single device while not having to select that device every time it needs adjusted this remote can do that, because it lets you choose for each device you program what the volume buttons control. After you get it all programmed to your liking all you need to do then is to sync the remote with the software and eject it when complete. So as long as you have a basic home theater set up this version of the Harmony remote will be good enough for you. If you have a more advanced setup where you'd want to have more activity buttons (Watch TV button) I would recommend looking at one of the higher models.
Works Just Fine
August 9, 2015
Wish I'd done this years ago. It took 30 minutes or more to get the software set up and get down to business, but I thoroughly love the computer setup and the ease of making changes. And before I forget, another great thing is that the Fast Forward function backs up a few seconds after I've been zipping through 3-5 minutes of commercials, and then overshooting. My DirecTV did that too, but not the TiVo. With TiVo I had to manually rewind quite a ways to recover what I zipped past. But this remote fixed that. THANK YOU LOGITECH.I had first looked at the more expensive 650, assuming I would have to spend $50-75 or more to get anywhere close to a truly universal remote. But then I read up on this one, and since I can't envision any need at all for more than one "Activity" and also thought the video screen on the 650 was a bit much for me (and since I needed two remotes, not just one), I decided to take a chance on this 350. I ordered two of these 350s for about $7 more than one 650 would've cost. Apparently I'm not missing a thing. It works with two different brand TVs (the 350 even found where I had left out one character of the model number and suggested the right one), a TiVo DVR and a mini, an LG DVD/BlueRay, and more.Another thing probably worth mentioning is that it's a little hard to get this IR remote to work with one TV, but the same remote works much better with the TiVo box. My best guess is it's a problem with the TV's IR receiver, not the remote.I highly recommend this universal remote control, especially for the budget-conscious.

This is my second Harmony product. While it's decent, it's not great. Doesn't take long to program thanks to using one's computer, but while it does turn my DVD player on and off, it doesn't run the other functions. I'll have to check with Logitech. Not having the entire controls light up is another miss. But with the many controls in my household, something had to be done!
Software setup is great, works well
June 25, 2017
Good remote.I needed something for my HK receiver when the original remote went MIA. I have this synced with my HK and my LG TV. Just use it for powering ON/OFF and for volume so I didn't need anything high-end.Solid performer though sometimes the master all-on wont turn on one of the devices and you have to do it manually. May be slightly off-pointed when doing so, not sure.Easy to setup with the downloadable software.
Best budget universal remote!
March 9, 2017
We have tried 3 different general universal remotes from department stores and none stood up to the device support I required. I simply use a TV, Apple TV, PS4, and Comcast STB. This remote covers and controls all of them flawlessly. The remote has no problem switching through the inputs of the TV to select the correct device (although it has to be done manually)The only issue I have with this remote is you can only have 1 activity (as in "Watch TV" will assign a button to turn on all devices and settings to allow you to watch tv shows) anything else you have to manually switch devices on/off and tv settings. But oh well. Still works like a champ and a good sturdy remote. Very reliable.

We needed another remote in the living room where we watch TV in order to prevent one person (me) hogging the remote. I really like the way this remote can be programmed to operate the TV, set top box, DVD, sound bar, etc. It is a simple matter to enter the name and model number of the item in the application on your computer and the setting are transferred to the Harmony remote. If any of those items are replaced than all one would have to do is put the new model and serial number in the application and reprogram the remote. The remote appears to be well made and fits in the hand well.
A good, basic remote (That is...basic in the Harmony universe)
June 14, 2016
After years of use, and being dropped and sat on, our Harmony 300 was dying. I found the Harmony 600 on sale, and was excited to "upgrade" our remote. After several months, the 600 had just proved to be a little to complex to use. I got the "activities" functionality of the 600 right away, but it still proved to be a bit of a pain. If you want to do something other than an activity, you have to go 3 levels in to get it done. And then my wife said she hated it and just wanted to go back to what we had.Enter the Harmony 350. Almost the same as the 300 we had for years. Nice to have the "DVR" button instead of me having to program a different button for that and tell people which one it was. The 350 is simple, I was able to transfer my devices to it easily, via their web setup, and it just works.Pros:-Easy to use-Seems to have the same build quality as the previous 300-Adding my devices to it was easy, since I already had them from my previous setupCons:-The only thing I would like to see on a basic model like this would be some lighted buttons. Then again...it wouldn't be a basic model. Hmmmm...conflicted.-Still a little too difficult for my 70+ years old in-laws. They can work the Directv remote, but just don't get this one, conceptually. I don't necessarily blame the remote for this, though, as the concept of changing the TV input from Directv to DVD1 to DVD2, etc., is what causes more of a stumbling block for the older generation than the actual remote. Having to push a combination of buttons to change the input and get the DVD player on and playing is too foreign for people that haven't grown up with this. For those that understand this kind of functionality and are looking for a fairly simple remote to control multiple devices, this one will do nicely.
Great controller, great software, hoped for better compatibility.
December 2, 2015
Very good universal controller. Software is excellent, and programming keys is easy after getting used to it (about 15 minutes of playing around). Why not 5 stars you ask? Well I intended to use this controller for my cable reciever, TV and HTPC. Cable worked great (Arris DCX3510-M). Software found the correct model and programmed the controller perfectly. Now the TV... not so much. I have a Frigidaire LCD, granted not the most popular of TV brands, but the software could not automatically configure my Harmony 350. I had to then go through a 20 minute or so process that involved my original TV controller to configure the new one. This worked, in the most part. You can't navigate the input menu on the Harmony 350 as easily as with the original controller. Also, there are some buttons missing, like the menu button. This is not a very big deal as I rarely have to reach for the old remote, but alas the reason I knocked a star off.And for the HTPC? I have not gotten around to properly install Kodi, plan to pair it with a FLIRC FL-09028 USB Universal Remote Control Receiver for Media Centers Components.Overall: Solid product, worth considering if looking for a universal remote control.

After trying multiple USB ports it finally found one it liked. I had almost given up on it
October 27, 2017
Had issues connecting this thing to the PC at first. After trying multiple USB ports it finally found one it liked. I had almost given up on it, why it liked that one port and didn't like any of my other ports is a great mystery. I think this was my last port I could plug into without having to unplug other devices from other ports. I'm giving it -1 star for this. The remote doesn't use a micro-USB cable, instead I'm not even sure exactly what it uses, but it pisses me off. Another -1 star for using a strange cable. The application used to set this up seems easy (after the remote is properly connected) and I was impressed by that. However, application is windows (or Mac I think) and no linux variants were downloadable. It would be better if Logitech simply ran this through a web interface rather than using a separate application.
The software is deficient
September 9, 2017
The remote itself may be fine. The MyHarmony software that MUST be used to configure it is complete crap. It requires a Facebook, Google+ or email account to function and generally won't connect to my Google+ account. When creating a different type of account to circumvent this bug, there is no capability to retrieve existing settings from the remote. They can only be retrieved from the previous account, and only in the rare instance that MyHarmony successfully connects to that account. Even when this succeeds, custom button assignments from the previous account are lost. Assigning buttons rarely works because the sync process either refuses to run (it doesn't appear to run if it thinks the remote is up-to-date) or it stops at 99% completion. The only Logitech solutions for sync problems involve creating a new account on a different computer or resetting the remote to factory defaults and losing everything. I am trying to get Logitech to send me the software THEY use to configure Harmony remotes. If I fail in that effort, the remote goes back as defective. Update: I have found that I was able to sync changes to settings on a computer running Windows 7. So, if you have access to such a system, the software may be adequate. I have updated my rating based on this.
Worked Great....Once
May 9, 2017
This was my second purchase of the Logitech Harmony 350. The programming is pretty easy and the first time I used it, it worked perfectly. Since then, the operation has been sporadic and even after going through the set-up process for a second time, it remains a bit frustrating. I have just the TV and cable box, so the setup is not complicated. The problem is that pushing the power button only turns on one or the other, not both. I always have to play with the buttons to get the TV or cable box to shut off.

April 13, 2017
Decent remote for the price. Cons--Not backlight, and there's only 1 programmmed activity (watch TV). A programmed activity is a feature that allows you to turn on multiple devices at one time by pressing 1 button (i.e. Pressing the "watch TV button turns on the TV, cable box, & AV receiver all together, in my case, for watching TV via the cable box while running the hdmi signal through my AV receiver for surround sound). It would be perfect if it had 2 more programmable activities (1 for DVD, and 1 for gaming). You can still turn on all your devices one at a time with the remote, it's just cumbersome, and because it's not backlit, it's hard to see in a dark room. That said, the setup program is very intuitive and user friendly.
the desktop software is horrible. When it works
March 16, 2017
While the remote appears to be decent, the desktop software is horrible. When it works, it is incredibly slow. Their customer supports tel;ls you to turn off your firewall and anti-virus software to get it to work. As a software engineer, this is no way to design a product. They offered no other option. The support was very quick to respond and tried to be helpful, they had no solutions.
barely functions for my Viewsonic HDTV!
March 2, 2017
My TV's original remote got worn out fairly quickly (I watch a lot of TV and play a lot of video games). I bought a replacement remote for my TV but also bought this Harmony remote, in the hopes of using it more than the the TV remote. It works okay for my cable box and blu-ray player. However, my TV is a 24" Viewsonic, actually made for the hotel industry, i guess. You know, like it's supposed to be the budget sort of HDTV you'd find in your hotel room, so I got the TV for a decent cost. The downside to the type of TV (or its intended use [concierge/hotal]), seems to be that Logitech didn't have it in listings. They had a 25" consumer Viewsonic, but not this 24" concierge unit. So, I had to try to tell the Harmony software the functions I need controlled. The issue here is that original TV remote has both a menu require 4-direction controls and a method for choosing the source that requires that you press 'imput' then you up and down arrow to choose the source/input, then enter to make the choice. If I try to tell the software about the input source function, then the Harmony will not do the options menu properly. I guess there's a chance that this model is limited because, well, you get what you pay for. But I din't want to invest like $200 only to have the universal remote not do what I hoped it would. I'd had a a Sony universal with remote before and it was dream, so if I can find a Sony at a reasonable price, maybe I will try it. Alternatively, the budget TV will need to be replaced another Tv some day and hopefully I will have the means to buy a brand name , quality HDTV that might ha remote that is designed to last longer. I'd invest in Harmony if I had all brand name electronics and could be certain that the software would just have a default profile for them. I guess I just had the hopes that with "learning" software, that I'd be able to teach the Harmony the functions of my entertainment devices, but that didn't prove possible. As it stands now, for the TV, the Harmony can turn it on and off, and can control the volume. We have Cox digital cable so you don't change the channels on the Tv, However, this has something many small budget HDTVs do not have, which is 3 HDMI inputs. With an HDMI splitter, I am connecting 4 HDMI devices, and a a few other types of devices to this TV and the ability to reliably change input/source on a regular basis is a MUST! And this harmony can't offer that for my TV! I guess it almost sounds likethis reviewwer blames the remote for the TV's shortcomings. perhaps, but I felt like the Logitech info suggested that one way or another, it would allow you to setup control for thousands of devices (I don't mean at the same time, of vourse.) It's just that until recently, Viewsonic actually made a rather large number of TVs and computer monitors. They seem to have only very recently moved to focus more on the business/enterprise markets, like with digital signage and concierge/hotel TVs. Anyway, I gave the remote 3 stars, but I ultimately bought it for the main purpose of controlling my TV and it does not do that much. It was intended to take the load off of my TV's original remote and it does not do that very well either. By the way, for my Cox mini box, while the Harmony had a profile for the Cox remote, it does not offer the guide button that the original Cox remote has and so again, I often (most of the time) still use the original Cox remote. All in all, this remote feels like a wasted investment for me! If Logitech could somehow let me know that one of the more costly harmony remotes would control all my stuff, I might consider one in the future. BTW, even on my Sony Blu-Ray player, a popular model sold at Costco, the Harmony does not provide some of the key functions of the Blu-Ray player.... And I didn't even bother trying to setup the harmony with my Xbox 360. I have the original remote for the 360 but almost never use that remote, so really no point.

This kinda like a Harmony wanna be remote compared to the Harmony ...
June 23, 2017
Very deceiving that you can control 8 devices because you can only program one macro for the watch TV option. Meaning you can only program ONE input for your devices. If you want to switch to other devices you need to do it manually, the remote will not change inputs automatically. This kinda like a Harmony wanna be remote compared to the Harmony remotes I have had in the past. You get what you pay for.
The layout is terrible also, numbers at the very bottom
April 14, 2017
I bought this to eliminate some remotes , it won't let me eliminate the fire stick , more or less the reason I got it . It is balky also and came without batteries . The layout is terrible also , numbers at the very bottom , so one handed use is nearly impossible . expected better from Logitech .
Not so "All in One"
January 13, 2017
Advertises that it works with 250K different products. I go to the website to verify it will work with the receiver that I have, a Pioneer Elite VSX-32 and my Sony Bravia tv. Of course it says sure it works with both. This is not true and when I go through all the steps I can I call Logitech's customer service line. After wasting 40 minutes I'm told we cannot get to the bottom of this problem without having the original remote for the receiver. I bought the Logitech precisely because I didn't have the remote! I'm guessing over 90% of people who are prompted to buy a universal remote do so because they've lost the original one. Has maybe 60% compatibility with the Sony tv and exactly 0% compatibility with the receiver. A nice and easy user interface with the set up software gets them 2 instead of 1 stars but other than that it's a black plastic brick for all it's "universal" aptitude. Sending it back today! Buy one only if your curious if it works because claims are inaccurate.
Button delays!
January 1, 2017
If you want a 1 second delay between when you press a button and anything happening, buy this remote. Not only that, but it will log every press you've made then send them out. So here's what happened to me: I tried to increase the volume with multiple presses of the volume button, then when it hits the desired volume, I stop pressing. But guess what doesn't stop: the volume increases. Because I pressed the buttons faster than it was sending commands, there was an enormous backlog of presses. How on earth does a product make it out the door like this? It's unbelievable.I also find the shape extremely weird. It isn't a big deal, but I find it awkward to use. There are also no button backlights. The reason for 2 not 1 star is that the programmable nature with external software is pretty decent, albeit strange. It was possible to program the remote to control all of my devices, but it took quite a while. The default codes didn't help much, and I had to do much of it myself.Unfortunately, I will be purchasing something else as the button delay is unbelievably infuriating and is, in my opinion, a fatal flaw in this product.
Not ideal for more than 2 sources
June 19, 2016
I thought there was no way a universal remote would be more complicated for my wife and kids as the 5 remotes that were sitting in our theater room. So I ordered this without research knowing it can handle more than enough devices, how could it complicate things. Don't feel like going into the whole details but here is my setup followed by what is needed to do to preform functions, as an FYI for people with similar setups. My setup: Epson projector, Yamaha receiver, Comcast cablebox, Apple TV, Steam Link, Samsung BlurayWhat I need to do to change functions...Watch TV: Press the AVR button, press 1, press the cable buttonWatch Bluray: Press the AVR button, Press 3, press the DVD buttonWatch Apple TV, Press the AVR button, press 4, press the TV button, explain to my family for the 200th time how TV, Apple TV, and TV button, are differentPlay games: Wake up SteamLink by pressing button on xbox controller, press AVR button, press 2, not number 2, quick button 2. Black screen, switch to any other input, press AVR button, press either 1,3, or 4, ,press AVR again, press 2 and get picture.Turn off everything: Press the power button (everything but the projector turns off, despite no problem turning on), press AVR1, press the little power button 3 times to finally turn the projector off. Don't press power to quick, space it 3 seconds....These are my scripted responses to the frustrations texts and calls I get on a daily basis from my family after simplifying my five remote setup for a room we use twice a week. I hate this thing. If you are going to go Logitech, spend the $200 and get one that will do everything you need. I set my parents up with an older logitech 700 a few years back and it has been bullet proof.I could maybe see this working for a basic bedroom cablebox/tv setup but I really have a sour taste in my mouth with this device and won't bother going down another frustrating path of getting people to figure it out. It makes esnse to me, but it is equal ammount of work as handling five remotes so is it really functional???
Works for a single activity, but falls short of other Harmony remotes
August 19, 2014
My purpose for buying this was to "copy" a remote for a TV because someone kept losing the original remote. For this purpose it works as you'd expect, though unfortunately the TV model this was for wasn't supported, so we needed the original remote to program it. There can only be one activity programmed and because of that this remote has very limited use.The software was really annoying trying to program without the original remote. It first asks you, do you have the original remote? No. Okay, no problem. Setup general modes, done. Now point original remote at the Logitech remote. WHAT!? I don't have the original remote. Ok, point original remote at Logitech... yeah there was no way around it. Not sure why it made me go through the wizard when I chose I did not have the original.... anyway, long story short, I had to buy another original replacement remote to program the Logitech one (only because this particular display was supported- Planar brand).I would recommend spending a little more to get a remote that has more activities. In general the Logitech Harmony remotes are really good... just not really this one.

Thought this was a single-activity Harmony remote, turns out it doesn't really support any activity at all
April 29, 2016
I've used various Harmony remotes for close to 10 years. From the 880, to the One, to helping my parents set up their 700. All of those are fine and capable remotes, but the 350 in my view should not even count as a "Harmony".I thought the 350 would be perfect for my bedroom TV because the only things I had connected there were a receiver and a Roku 2. I only needed a single activity (watch the Roku), which the 350 is designed to handle, so what could go wrong? As it turns out...a lot. Unlike real Harmony remotes, it is not possible to program buttons for an activity. This is a huge problem, and defeats the entire purpose of owning a "Harmony" remote. For example, in my singular activity, I would like to map the remote's directional buttons to the Roku's directional buttons and the remote's "Red" button to my TV's picture mode button. In a real Harmony remote such as the 880, one would create an activity called "Watch Roku", and map the activity's directional buttons to the Roku's directional buttons, and the activity's "Red" button to my TV's picture mode button. As a result, I press a single button (Watch Roku activity button) to turn on the TV, receiver, and Roku. As soon as the devices are on, I can press the directional buttons to control the Roku, the Red button to change the TV picture mode, and the volume buttons to control the volume via the receiver. In the 350, however, things work in a much less intuitive way. It is not possible to program buttons for an activity, only for a device. So, I can map buttons just like I did with a real Harmony, but they are useless unless I switch to that specific device. Following the same example above, this means I press the "Watch TV" button to turn on all my devices. Once the devices are on, the directional buttons are useless because the default device is the TV. So if I want to control the Roku, I have to press the Roku device button first. If I want to change the TV's picture mode, I can't just press the "Red" button, I have to make sure to press the TV device button first. In other words, this works just like any other cheap universal remote. The 350 also doesn't support custom power-on or power-off sequences to allow you to add additional button presses to deal with special circumstances that require it. Given how the 350 doesn't even properly support the notion of activities, I guess this is hardly shocking. For anyone who's used a real Harmony or is looking for the Harmony experience and expected the only restriction to be the single activity, prepare for massive disappointment. For anyone else who wants a universal remote, there are much cheaper alternatives elsewhere.
Sending Back
February 3, 2016
I am returning this product. I almost sent it back before opening since an act of congress is needed to open the extra heavy hermetically sealed plastic. It is actually somewhat of a dangerous process to open. I then assembled it and connected it to my computer. It was never recognized by the computer. The Logitech web site kept returning errors when clicking on the download button for the program. I have a One and it has worked great for several years. Its not real easy to program as the Logitech program is not intuitive. Could not find any on line recommendations that worked so its going back. The instructions said to press a button to activate the back lights before connecting it to the computer and it did not do that so iy may be defective. But the Logitech website was broken too.
The Harmony remotes used to be the best ones out there
November 15, 2015
This took several hours to get it to connect to a computer to program it. Then I find it only supports 1 activity. Can't reprogram the button labels, so nine of my devices actually show up as the correct device. I have to remember the code I used, such as the music button for my roku. Then it requires pressing the correct button for a device, then the various buttons to change the settings, then the next device, etc. easier just to use the original remotes. The Harmony remotes used to be the best ones out there. Avoid them now as they are just junk.
Not a product that is worthy of "Logitech Harmony"
November 14, 2015
I own several Harmony remotes, and I decided to buy the 350 (my first of this model) for a very simple system that was one television with 2 sources. It has been intentionally handicapped beyond the missing screen. I accepted the reduction in source capabilities and the lack of the screen in purchasing it, however when you get to the setup stage, you realize it has been handicapped in how you can program the buttons as well. Very disappointing. To top it off, it doesn't seem to consistently work with the features it is supposed to have. We've taken to using it just like any old-fashioned Universal Remote. Doesn't seem befitting of the Logitech Harmony name.
