Assembly was easy. The bed seems quite solid after about six weeks of use. My husband and I are both larger people, and I was a little concerned at first, but no problems. We purchased our mattress and box spring before we decided on this bed- now we have a very tall bed! I would recommend a low-profile box spring, or a board. With the standard box spring and a thick mattress, the bed is much higher than an average bed- I have considered getting a step to help me get in (I am 5'3" and i have to sort of jump/climb into the bed).

This bed was extremely easy to put together. I was able to assemble it myself in under an hour. The head board fasteners on the right side were a little uneven creating a less than perpendicular appearance for the legs of the head board. I consider this the most flimsy part of the bed. The legs of the headboard require more stability. I have my bead backed against the wall so no real problem with the headboard. I do not believe it is strong enough to support much weight if it isn’t flush against the wall. Everything else was of good quality in accordance to the price you pay. As advertised the bed does require a spring box. In order to keep the low profile aesthetic of the bed, I placed a 4 inch box spring in as I have a 12 inch memory foam mattress. Examining the slats, I do not recommend trying to use this bed without a box spring.

I have found the bed to be quite sturdy and durable thus far. It easily supports the weight of 2 people and 2 dogs & everything that comes with that, so we are all good here. The bed has a clean appearance to it and I received it undamaged. For the price of the bed, I am quite pleased with the purchase & would recommend it for anybody who needs to watch their pennies or as an extra bed for a guest bedroom so that you do not spend as much money on a bed that will be infrequently used.

This is a guest bed in my home. I am a strong female and I managed to wrangle it up the stairs and assemble alone. it is low to the ground, so you wont have enough clearance to store anything under it. The material is not real leather (obvious if you look at the price tag!), but it is soft and nice, a little on the shiny side, the bed is strong but you will need a foundation (I got the wood kind you assemble yourself and slide a cover over they rock!). it looks very nice in the guest bed and has held up over 3 sleepovers so far. It does not wobble. I don't know if it would be good for more regular use though especially by a family with small children that are rough on furniture. For an apartment or a child free older or younger couple or single guy/gal it would work great.

When I saw the image, weight, and price of this frame, I assumed that it would be another flimsy bed frame that tries too hard to look nice at the expense of sturdy construction. I have had several bad experiences with frames falling apart
in the past, so I was especially hesitant to try this one out.

The impressive proportion of 5 star reviews here on made me reconsider, so I ordered the frame with hopeful sensibilities. After putting it together and sleeping on it a few nights, I am pleasantly surprised by how little it rocks, creaks,
and sways. The frame isn't perfect though, so here is a summary of what's good
and bad about it.

PROS:
- Sturdy construction
~ This may be the sturdiest bed frame on Amazon for under $300.
It doesn't rock side to side at all, and with a little padding between the headboard and the wall, there is no swaying top to bottom.
~ The upholstered pieces are particle board wrapped in cloth and
vinyl, but the legs and slats are real wood. The legs on the headboard are a very dense engineered wood that you probably couldn't break if you tried.

- Reasonable Aesthetics
~ You get what you see in the picture. It's not ugly, but nobody who sees this frame will accuse you of being particularly stylish.

- Good height/dimensions
~ This one depends on where you're putting the bed, but for me the height and size were pretty much perfect.

CONS:
- The vinyl is easy to damage
~ You probably can spill just about anything on the vinyl without staining or ruining it, but even the smallest abrasion is basically an instant
eye sore. I haven't tested my theory, but I am fairly confident it would be easy to accidentally scratch the frame.

- Small contact area with the floor
~ The bed only touches the floor in a few places, and those places have a surface area of maybe 7 in^2 all combined. You're definitely going to
leave permanent imprints in your carpet with this frame.

Overall, I would recommend this bed to just about anybody.

Very simple to assemble, does its job as well as the 50-year old box-spring that it replaced, at much lighter weight and can be taken apart so easy for moving to a new household.It took me hours to decompose my old box spring made of wood, foam, cloth, and many springs, since we have no recycling options for whole box springs and mattresses. Zinus' design is 98% easier to recycle, so I will call it environment friendly as well as perfectly functional.

I mean its a box spring I does its job. The best thing about it to me is it was delivered to our house in a box. We didn't have to go all over town searching for the best price and then have to haul it home. Installation was easy and came with the allen tool you need and all hardware. Only complaint is the box spring fits a little small in the frame but you don't even notice it with a skirt. Would buy again.

Review for the FULL SIZE foundation (standard 75" x 54" dimensions). Packaging was the right size. Not too heavy (but definitely not super light). All pieces + tools included. Assembly instructions easy to follow. Find yourself a clear space, and you can put this together in 30 mins more or less (including getting it out of the box). Putting on the cover was simple (and even easier with two people). Slipped right in to the full size IKEA bed frame I had built and waiting. I love that this foundation can be disassembled and reassembled as needed.

We purchased the King High Profile Box Springs for our low profile bed. It arrived yesterday. the box was no more then a foot wide and three foot high. Hard to believe that this is a box spring set. We assembled it last evening. The Box Spring set was very easy to assemble and the construction is better then a box spring set from a local mattress store. We had no issues at all assembling the box springs (App 25 mins). The directions are easy to follow that even a 10 year old could assemble. It could not be any easier!! The Coverlet for the box spring is zipper and of good quality. We are extremely happy with this product and saved over $150.00 by purchasing this a box spring set at the local store with delivery was $285.00. There was not any squeaks or issues on our first night. In fact I can say that it made our memory foam mattress much more comfortable. I will update this review after 30 days in Mid December.Suggestion: I would suggest before attempting to put the coverlet on to lay it on top to make sure you have it going on the frame the correct way.

So this is the first thing I assemble by myself ever... I'm a 21 YO female who needed a mattress base because my mattress was so unevenly distributed on the bed. So after reading all the reviews, I figured this was the best one to buy! The package was a tad heavy so I asked someone to help me carry it to my apartment, as it was delivered to the reception office. Anyways the assembling took me an hour and 15 minutes sharp!! I did it all by myself! And the instructions were quite simple without any words, but with a tad of logic you can figure everything out in less than 5 minutes! The product looks great on my bed and very sturdy! I must admit that I did tighten all screws like crazy (a bit OCD). Anyways no equipment is needed besides the ones provided with the package. Highly recommended and here are pictures showing my bed before and after I got this products with steps showing how to assemble it!! Good luck :)

This product is great, I am 100% satisfied with this purchase. I am using this box spring with a Nature Sleep memory foam mattress. If you have an innerspring mattress your mileage may vary. My review as follows will cover several different aspects of this product and why they are great.Portability: Who knew you could assemble a box spring instead of lugging around a 50+ pound bulky wooden frame? Once assembled, the frame is lightweight and much easier to move around than a traditional box spring. The next time I move I am just going to take it apart instead of it taking up space in the moving truck, very economical in that sense.Assembly: Assembly was very easy, no mechanical inclinations required from the assembler. The set comes with an allen wrench/hex key and you use that to hold bolts in place while you tighten wingnuts with your fingers. Please ignore any reviewer of this product who said it was too difficult to assemble, took too long, or had confusing instructions, they are either lazy or completely incompetent. It took me about an hour to assemble by myself, and it would have taken even less time if I hadn't been half watching TV and drinking a beer while I was putting it together. The instructions aren't written words, but pictures showing which pieces to assemble with which bolts, but if you ever built a Lego set when you were a kid you should be able to handle this. It is easy to tell which pieces should be facing up during assembly, because most have a 'this side up' sticker. The pieces that don't, it either doesn't matter which side is up or you can tell which side should be up because of the notches the slats will fit into at the end.The Cover/ Looks: The zip cover looks nice and the white sides are a soft plush. Make sure you sweep your floor before zipping the cover on though or you might get dirt all over the nice white part. Some people said that the cover ripped when they were zipping it up, that was not the case for me. The cover is a very tight and perfect fit, but the white sides stretch. So when you zip it on, don't just yank on the zipper as hard as you can, pull up on the white parts that stretch and it will make the zipper easier to close.Durability: It seems sturdy enough to me. I have had for two weeks, no complaints. I have unzipped and re-examined the frame and it has not bent or buckled under the weight of two people or any vigorous activity. Could you bend the metal of the frame after you put it together? I guess you could if you tried to, but why would you do that deliberately? Putting a mattress on top of it and using as intended should leave you with no issues.I hope this review provided all the information needed to help in your purchase decision, and I am sure you will be satisfied with this box spring.

This mattress provides a lot of bang for the buck. I would describe it as a firm cloud!! When you first touch it, the mattress seems very firm to the hand, but while lying down, you can actually feel it shape to your body. This bed is great for back pain. My husband is snoring way less as well. He says he is simply sleeping better. We've had it for a couple weeks. I hope it lasts!!! It comes with a 25 year warranty...pretty good!! This is a good investment. After all, we do spend about 1/3 of our lives sleeping

I bought that mattress for myself & my husband I did a lot of research on the best kind to get but was still scared to purchase one online without trying it first so I mainly went with this one because of the price and a Facebook friend said she bough one of these for her and her husband and they loved it! Boy for once I'm so glad I listened to someone I knows opinion instead of going off of research studies this bed for us is fantastic!!!!!!!! I wanted to wait until we slept on it for while before I did a review well it's been about three weeks now and we are still loving it my husband tells me very night before we fall asleep what I good job I did picking out this mattress. It's a firm mattress yes but not in a bad way because my husband can't stand what I would call a normal firm mattress, it's kind of hard to describe it's firm at first but it forms to you so you don't notice it so much if that makes since. I would without a doubt buy another one of these and would recommend to anyone how wants a great product hope this review helped!

I will be adding to this as time goes on, but I installed bed on New Year's Eve. I removed the mattress from the box and placed it on the platform. Logically the simplest way to unroll the compressed mattress would have it upside down, so you would need to unroll it from underneath (it will make sense when you're doing it) Remove the plastic wrapping and the mattress will start to expand, so make sure you have it in place when this starts to happen.
I let it sit there for 12 hours, and yes it stunk for a little while but the smell went away fairly quickly. My one disappointment is that it expanded to the full 10 inches.
The first night sleep, I slept like a baby. The mattress is nice and firm, but don't be fooled you sink into the top a tiny bit so it is super comfortable. If it stays this firm, I will be very happy with it. A lot of reviews give this mattress at 7 out of 10 on firmness, well I'm saying 8 or even 8 1/2 but I think once its all worked in it will be a 7 or 8.
I am coming from a Dormia mattress so I am familiar with memory foam. For the money I think it is a solid buy. 25 year warranty and yes there is a phone number to call.888.975.8243

Now that I have had this mattress for a few months, and it has been worked in, I will say that it is an absolute delight. It did expand to a full 10 in thickness, and it is quite comfortable. It is nice and firm (which I can appreciate) You'll sink into it, and inch, inch and a half, and when you get up off the mattress you'll sink in a little bit, but it re-expands very quickly. I will keep my 5 star rating. For this price, the quality blows away my name brand one that I had prior.

I love this bed :)

I purchased this mattress for the full-size frame in my guest bedroom. It was very easy to unpack (I am a 5”10” 150 lb, women use to doing things alone) and initially I put it on the floor to inflate. Within an hour, the mattress had inflated to 8”. I read many reviews, where the mattress only expanded to 9 – 9.5” after waiting the allotted time and I wanted the full 10”. So, for the next 2 hours approx. every 15 – 20 minutes, I gently tugged and stretched the cover to allow for more expansion. I could tell it was expanding because when I came back the ripples from me tugging and stretching the cover were gone. The next morning the mattress was a full 10” on all side however I continue to wait another 24 hours before I putting on the LUCID Encasement Mattress Protector and the frame for use. I wish I had some help with the encasement, it was a little tiring because the mattress gained a lot of weight once inflated. However, I got it on properly and was impressed. I had some reservation because the description stated the encasement fit “8-16” deep mattress and I purchased the 10” mattress. However, the “bottom elastic creates a smooth, secure fit” worked as designed. I thought it would be too big and baggy but it was not, it was a perfect fit. I am very happy with my purchase of both items and like the firmness of the mattress. I state it again, this mattress is firm. I am considering getting a king size for my bed.
Some tips I took away from the other reviews:
I waited the full 48 hours before using my mattress
I turned on the ceiling fan in the room during the expansion period to provide good circulation of air in the room.
I was careful not to bend the mattress in the middle when moving it to the frame
And I didn't lay or sit on it during the expansion period.

*UPDATE* it has been a little over a year now since i orderded this mattress and it has gon through my son, my daughter, and myself, as well as a few pets and it is holding up great! There is no visable dent in the mattress from beong laid on in the same spot over and over. It does not hold smell and it suprisingly easy to clean! I deffinatly reccomend this mattress

I got my mattress in yesterday and it has decompressed very quickly. It is the full 10 inches that it says it is. It feels amazing and has no order that I could smell unlike some of the other reviews. I highly recommend this mattress. It is exactly what you want in a memory foam mattress

Frame is perfect. Very nice looking. Better for just a mattress but I have the box spring as well. Makes the bed look HUGE! Heavy, but I was able to put it together myself without a problem.

Great shipping, on time, three sets of directions and all the parts. Great look and feel, I would have it 5 stars but one little issue with two of the threaded holes in the legs of the headboard. Great product for the price

Not the most sturdy bed frame. I'm a cross country runner, fairly lightweight, and the slates fell apart during some late night adventure.Expect to invest in a sheet of plywood to put ontop of the 4 slates provided. The backboard is also a bit unstable, but nothing major.Overall, it's a design worthy of the price. It does look nice and is fairly light to carry and move around.

I have to say I thought this thing would fall apart after a month. I'm a fat dude, almost 300 lbs, but it has held together nicely. Not even squeaking after 5 months.

It took a little while to get here but once we got it, it was easy to assemble and looks pretty cool once it's all put together. You're going to need a box spring though as it doesn't have a super strong support system on the bottom and the weight of the mattress won't distribute evenly otherwise (although I suppose that's true for most bed frames, isn't it). Love the way it looks against our burgundy/black comforter and sheets. Everything has a nice layer of padding as well, which doesn't hurt! :P

This bed will require a little extra reinforcement if there are two average size adults on this bed at about 275-400 lbs total and no box spring. The rails are the legs under the rails are flimsy. That area seems very poorly "engineered" if you can even call it that. Aesthetically the bed looks good. But do yourself a favor and reinforce those mentioned rails with a couple 2x4's ($9 at Lowes) and use a box spring. If you do that, the bed should last a reasonable amount of time.

Got the California King box spring. Box came with minor damage, nothing too surprising when delivered. I opened up the box and started putting the box spring together. Some pieces were slightly bent but not enough to where it affected putting the pieces together. There were also some pieces that were scratched but again it didnt affect putting the product together. What did affect putting the product together was the instructions. They werent all that informative and it was slightly difficult to read what parts are suppose to go where because parts werent labled. Took about 2 hours to put together with one person. Lastly, my Cal-King box spring was slightly smaller than my Cal-King memory foam mattress. Box spring and mattress are from two different companies so that could be the reason the box spring is smaller than the mattress. Im satisfied with the box spring, its sturdy and it works.

I ordered this based on reviews. I never heard of a metal box spring before and needed one for a spare bed. It arrived and I put it together. Now I have no hand and arm strength anymore and it probably took a bit longer than it should have, but I did assemble it. I do sit on this spare bed and it doesn't squeak or make any noise at all, at least not yet. So far I'm pleased with this purchase.

Assembly is a bit of a bear and I can imagine is pretty difficult if you don't have a lot of experience. The instructions suck. They give clear directions for part a to go to part b...and so on, but actual pieces aren't labeled.4 stars because assembly aside it is super sturdy, good looking and doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

So I read a LOT of reviews before buying this and was very curious to see what my experience would be since the reviews definitely ran the gamut! My experience was a positive one and continues to be. I bought the box spring a few months ago and it was very easy to assemble. Was able to do it myself in about 20-30 minutes and I wasn't rushing. I was most worried about the squeaking/noise that people mentioned in some of the negative reviews since I've been called the princess and the pea but so far not a peep!The only negative review that IS substantiated is that one piece was definitely defective. One reviewer showed a picture of the piece that was just a little bit shorter than it's matching pieces and therefore wouldn't fit into place and that happened to me on one corner but honestly it still worked with a too-short piece. So I had to take a star off for that and really the perfectionist in me thinks it's unacceptable to sell mis-shaped pieces/product but honestly it still works fine and I've been really pleased with it so I only took off one!

I bought this to complement the 12 inch foam mattress I bought on Amazon. I needed a box spring/foundation that was firm enough to keep the mattress flat. The assembly took about 45 minutes and was straight forward. I found that some of the fittings didn't seat perfectly and I had to flex the bars to seat it with the screws. I've used it for a month now and it's holding up strong. Definitely worth it if you have a memory foam mattress.

We just received this yesterday and I will update if anything changes, but so far here are my thoughts:This is exactly as it's described. Everything came neatly wrapped and sealed. Even the screws and bolts and wrenches were sealed so that they would not be lost.The pieces went together quickly and easily. We put it together in less than an hour. I planned to help my husband, but the only thing he needed help with was putting on the cover. Speaking of the cover--it fits VERY tightly, which is good and is the point, but the stitching isn't the best and pulled out at one point. Since we purchased an additional bed-bug cover for the box spring, we aren't worried about that, but it could be a problem for some people.We've only slept on it once, but it was great. My husband said he didn't notice a difference between it and the pallet we were using before, but I did. Also, I like the elevated height of the bed. (This was my main reason for wanting the box spring, honestly!)I am quite heavy and was nervous about the way it would old up, but it seems sturdy and strong. I will update if anything changes with continued use.

Update: after 10 days it still stinks.

Amazing bed, at an amazing price. This $200+ memory gel mattress is the same quality as our $3500 one from Costco. I love the bed in a box concept. It makes it convenient to move around and up stairs. My only complaint and the reason I'm giving it 4/5 stars is due to the strong off gassing smell. Hopefully it will air out in a day or two. Got it this morning and immediately opened it up. It expanded to 9 out of the 10 inches within a couple of hours. Hopefully it will reach its full 10 inches by tomorrow. So far it is really comfortable and has good support. Not too firm but does distribute weight well. I layed on one side and husband on the other. I did not feel him get up and out of the bed. We will buy another one for our guest room! I will post an update in a week.

It's a little stiff at first, but it's comfy enough now that I've had it for a little while and rotated it a bit. It fluffed up to the full size with no problem and is easy enough to manage with 2 people. That said, it was a pain in the bum to move to my bedroom once it was time, and it's very difficult to rotate on my own- so be prepared.

Keep in mind that I came to this from an incredibly, shamefully terrible king that was saggy and broken and sitting on the floor, so I'm fairly sure I would've given a cardboard mat at least a 2.5 star review...

Great price on this item, it arrived very quickly and in perfect condition although the box was a little torn up. Easy to unroll, and it puffed up to the full 10" within a couple hours. There was a bit of a "new memory foam" scent, but that aired out in the time it took to puff up also. I docked one star because this is VERY firm...although that's just personal preference and not a defect of the mattress at all. I'm sure it will get a bit softer over time. It says medium-firm, but it's definitely just firm. Perfect at the price point and a great guest room mattress on a platform. I would recommend this mattress.

Just got mine today and it inflated to full 10" in about 4hrs. Its just the right firmness. The cool gel foam really feels like a layer of mint on my back. No odors. I know that eventually it will compress but I bought this as a temporary/backup matress.If your just starting out or on a budget, this is a great matress to get. Spring mattresses don't even come close in terms of comfort, efficiency, and style.

I spent months reading hundreds of reviews about the different foam and gel foam mattresses that are offered on Amazon. I knew that I liked the medium firm feel when I was testing out mattresses. I kept in mind that every mattress may have a different feel, but one reviewer made a great point that you can make a harder mattress softer, but you cannot make a softer mattress harder. I steered clear of the plush, soft, medium soft descriptions. I also researched the difference between a foam vs gel form mattress. According to what I read, I can't remember the source, there was more customer satisfaction with all memory foam mattresses than with the gel foam. As far as the mattress feeling hot, I have a waterproof Sealy Posturepedic mattress cover on it and it's just as hot as our old mattress. The mattress is hard. It is described as medium firm. We like a firmer mattresses, but this mattress so far is reeeeally firm. I put an egg crate mattress pad (we already had it) on it under the mattress cover and it has made it more comfortable. We are a co sleeping family so there is plenty of room for the us and our 4 year old. We've only slept on it for 2 nights, but it can feel the difference in my back and hips. I had less pain waking up this morning. My bones didn't crack. Thus, so far so good.

The delivery was amazing! We live on the 3rd floor of a walk up. I feel sorry for the delivery guy who had to get it up the stairs, but it was super convenient for me. It came a day early. I'm sooooo thankful that I worked from home that day so I could set it up before anyone got home. I'm about 5'2" with shoes, 125lbs, little upper body strength ... But I was able to push the beast of the mattress inside and to the bedroom. I ordered the base that is suggested to go with this mattress and it fit perfectly. I placed a remanent rug on it to support the mattress from "falling" through the spaces to protect the bottom. In total, I had an hour to set up bed frame and mattress before I had to pick up my son from school. I was able to vacuum, set up frame, unroll hella heavy mattress and dress the bed in under an hour. The mattress has a padded bumpy side indicating the bottom. I had to flip it over after it started to expand super quickly. Let me say this again, it is HEAVY! But, I did it. Once flipped over, it expanded to 9 inches within 5 minutes. I checked to make sure the mattress cover was on the right way to ensure we would be sleeping on the memory foam side and not the support side. The mattress cover has a crushed velvet feel. There was a smell, but to my super sensitive nose it was not strong. None the less, I opened the sliding door, turned bathroom fan on and faced oscillating fan to blow the smell out of the room. I also sprinkled baking soda on it and vacuumed it before putting on the mattress pad. When we returned home 6 hours later, the smell was minimal and pretty much gone this morning ( 2 days to air out).

My review is kind of backwards, but I will update it as time goes on. I'm hoping this mattress will last us and more importantly that I won't wake up with body ache anymore. As of day 2, I recommend this mattress. I gave it 4 stars and not 5 because it is really firm and not medium firm as described. But maybe it will soften up as time goes by.

Beware before you buy this be prepared to get so wood from home Depot. You are going to need at least 10 slats for the bed and make sure to have a box spring so your mattress meets the headboard. They don't show you picture of the only 4 slats you get. The bed was easy to put together. You have to measure where you would put your screws in the bed rails because they don't provide holes for you. This isn't the best thing in the world but if you get your own wood to help support it, use a box spring as required, and do some research on making bed slats, this is a great deal for just 200 dollars. Wood doesn't cost that much, but make sure you get a good wood like pine, which is strong and cheap. I will update this after I fix my bed and tell you how much I put in this bed.

Easy to assemble but doesn't recommend buying bed slates. You can't buy and throw mattress on it wud sink and ruin mattress over time as four small pieces of wood is supposed to support a mattress. Good quality and looks great. Easy to assemble but large gap in head board and pillow top mattress. I would give two stars as far as low profile bed but I cover gap in headboard and bed w pillow and looks fine. Great price.

The bed is easy to assemble and nice to look at. The only problem I have it, are the 3 pieces of thin, and I really mean THIN, wood that comes with it and is suppose to withstand a heavy mattress. I had to buy stronger ones at The Home Depot in order to feel safe putting a heavy 10" memory foam mattress on it. A few months later and its starting to squeak as loud as the spring bed I previously owned. It's a nice bed for the price that requires a bit of extra work to make it work but my wife, son and I really like it and would recommend to people on a budget (or not).

Glad I waited to do a review I would have originally given this a higher rating, but now after months of use I don't like it. If I sit at the head of the bed the foot literal pops up(both box spring and mattress) and I'm not heavier then the total weight of the two. I am careful of movement on the bed to avoid the wood breaking and I have both box spring and mattress and still the bed is weak.

It came ahead of time but the seller would not stop the shipment due to a discrepancy in color. I ordered a brown bed, and ended up with a black one. This was purchased as a gift for someone else who was hoping for a brown bed! They sold it, and ended up having to get a new one in the color they wanted it in...I emailed the dealer the same day I placed the order and because they did not respond in time....I ended up with a black bed being shipped that ended up getting sold due to a very unhappy recipient... will not be buying from them anymore.

I love it, very nice looking and perfect now! It should have come with 2 boxes of screws and little metal parts, but it only came with 1, so my husband tried to reach their customer service. The papers that came with it didn`t have the phone number on it, only email, and we never got a response from them. Then my husband looked up a company number online and called, and the lady that answered was very rude telling him he got a wrong department and isn`t suppose to call this number as a customer, after lecturing him for a few minutes she finally transferred him to the right department and they were nice and sent us the right box. I don`t want to discourage you from buying this bed if you don`t mind dealing with customer service for a little. In the end we love our bed, it looks elegant, very sturdy. It`s very nice looking for the price you pay!

In terms of doing its job, it’s great. However, I’m shocked at people saying the assemble was easy. I’m not sure if it was just my bad luck or what, but it took me about 30-45 mins to assemble this. The major reason why it’s because the parts were NOT labeled. How the **** am I suppose to know what’s what? I just had to look at the picture and really think about what I was doing. You need at least 1.5 more space than the size of this box spring. Also, I found this box spring to be smaller than what I ordered (queen). Maybe an inch too small. Please, label the parts next time. Nobody has time to assemble this for $100.

It's fine. More box than spring. I think I'll need a mattress thicker than 5" to go on top because you can feel the support bars.Easy assembly though. Took about 15 minutes.

I wanted to love this boxspring. I really did. All metal, no formaldehyde, sturdy. And the 2-min video made assembly look like a piece of cake!I have my fair share of experience putting things together, but I hate to admit that this was a bear to put together. I'm not sure if it's because mine was a king - and the way you'd assemble it for King vs Cal King seemed to be different but you couldn't tell that from any instructions. I wrestled with it for far too long. And the easy slip on zipper cover wasn't so easy. Again, not sure if that was due to size, but I had to wrestle, stretch, flip, tug and pull that thing until I finally got it on.I haven't slept on it yet but it's just a steel frame, no spring action so I don't expect much other benefit aside from what I noted earlier.Just be prepared that you'll need to measure and plan things out a bit in advance when putting together a king.

Lasts about a year. The bars are sinking in the middle and it squeaks A LOT. Wish I could just get rid of it right away. I've had it for a little over a year and don't think I would buy it again.

Why 3 stars? Product is phenomenal... easily assembled and does exactly what it's supposed to. But in my case, delivery was a nightmare... anticipated date changed several times. Tracking info was unavailable for much of the two weeks I waited for it. Keep in mind, this product came from VA to PA... not that far at all. Don't know if this was an anomaly or what but such things are frustrating.As far as the product goes, because it's a king-sized, I assumed it would be a split boxspring (probably shouldn't have made that assumption, given the picture), but it's definitely one piece assembled. On the plus side, it will be easy to dis-assemble if/when I need to move it. On the minus side, it will definitely need dis-assembled.

I needed wheels under a memory foam mattress, and the only foundation I found with wheels was a steel frame designed for a box spring. I selected this one for its relative light weight combined with compact shipping. I give it less than five stars because it was slightly off-kilter and hard as heck to assemble. My husband and grandson had to work together to bend it into shape so the bolts would fit into the predrilled holes. And maybe I should have paid more attention to size. Yes, it is twin-size, but it's 38", not 39". Both frame and mattress are 39". Half an inch on either side is not a big deal, but it does not fit snugly in the frame and it does not line up perfectly with the mattress. If this matters to you, choose something else.

I bought 1, a day later wife bought 1 for new twin XL adjustable frames we bought. Mine arrived on time, aired it out for 1 week. After 12 days the wifes arrived aired it out and in was 4" shorter than mine. We checked to make sure we ordered correctly and we did. we installed on our adjustable frames and have to put a king sized pillow at the bottom of hers so at least the tops are even. The mattress and frame are about 28-29 inches high any higher and my 5'4" wife would need a ladder to get into bed. It works good with the adjustable frame. I definitively would not get a 12" matteress or I would need a ladder to to get in and out. We had a select comfort air mattress for many years. we are adjusting to the foam without much problem. DO NOT Place 2 orders and expect the same size. For us,it wasn't worth the exchange grief.so buyer beware what is shipped and don't measure mattress before it air out and expands to its size. Smell was not an issue for us, and none after a day, worth the cheap price??? Maybe

I would have given 5 stars, except the smell is horrible. I have been airing it out for 5 days now and the smell is still really bad. I can't allow someone to sleep on this mattress until the smell is gone. The box was not properly taped so I could see the mattress since the flaps weren't taped together.

too firm and hurts my daughters back

I actually love this mattress. Combined with my fluffy down comforter, I feel like I'm in a big soft pillow of heaven whenever I lay down. That being said, despite regular turning of the mattress, it has started to sag and mold to our body weight over the years. My husband isn't a fan and has complained of back pain. I think it is better suited for a smaller person <120lb where the mattress won't start to cave so much over time. Although this is rated for 20 years, we will likely be looking for another mattress soon after just 5. For the price though, I think it's certainly worth it, and if not for my husband's discomfort, I would probably be happy with this mattress for several more years.

Good temporary solution for a single person for a couple years. Bought in 2013, and it was great until about 2 years later, and then it got extremely soft and saggy. Had to replace it last year after extreme back pain. I'd recommend for a guest room or a child, but this is not good for a couple's main bed.

The bed vinyl part had a tear and there seemed to be a bend in the footboard that looks like some damage occurred. Also it is pretty flimsy construction. I might have to replace it if it doesn't hold up

Very nice looking but waste of money first night sleeping on it it broke the bars on bottom are wooden I have bricks holding my mattress up and got to get new wood for under this is a cheap bed waste of money

The frame is fine, even the slats i can work with, but the head board design, what the heck. I could tell putting it together that with too much weight against the head board it would break. Within two weeks the left hand side 1x4 upright that attaches the headboard to the bedframe broke. Actually, the 1x4 didnt break, the hardware tore out of it.Although its an easy fix with a trip to the hardware store, a new 1x4 and a drill, it will happen again. Its a poor design and too flimsy.

Make this a 5-star bed with 1 simple modification.Drill the mounting holes all the way through the headboard, get longer bolts with washers and mount the base with the bolts going though the headboard.This will make sure you base won't fall off the headboard in 6 months.

the slats are not steady enough to hold a thick mattress without a platform. We had to go to Home Depot and literally build the inside of the bed so the mattress did not fall though. For an additional 40 dollars we now have a bed that holds a mattress.

I order black but received white it's very nice looking for the price but the slats keeps falling out from under the bed and my son has to keep fixing it so that one of my biggest issues. I called company they was very nice and they shipped me out more slats that I thought was thicker but the same thing is happening. This is crazy he can't even sleep on the bed without the bed falling down and he's only 102lbs really... Ugggggh so upset.

The cover is way too small and doesn't fit over the frame. I tried stretching it until it started ripping at seams but was still too short. I reached out to Zinus to get a replacement cover and weeks later still waiting for it

I order it because of the price and review for our new king bed. The box was beat up, the pieces inside where scatter around. The pieces were all scratch up. You can tell it was the cheap paint. We were disappoint it with how the product looked. Good thing no one can see it since is the box spring. That's why I gave it a 2 star.In regards on how to build it, it was pretty straight forward. It was simple to build

It came neatly in a box, and was fairly easy to assemble, but there were a couple of problems.1) none of the metal frames are actually labelled, so when the instruction calls for part A/B/C etc, it gets confusing.2) On one part of the instructions, it called for a medium screw, although the picture had a short screw, and it ended up being a small screw that I needed.3) The cover for the box did not fit. I ordered a Queen size box, but the cover that came was something around full size, since it was ~1.5 inches too short, and won't fit the frames.

This product came with a part slightly bent (the packaging it arrived in looked fine so I think the damage was done at the factory) so I had to get creative with some tools in order to assemble it. It didn't seem worth the trouble of returning it and the repair seems to have worked. I'd give it a much higher rating if it had arrived in better condition.

I purchased a Cal King, it says on box that it is Cal King, but its 4" smaller then my Cal King Mattress!

Works fine if you're not willing to pay more for something better.I assembled this pretty easily in my small apartment, but the beams are not always an exact fit for the notch they're supposed to fit in so sometimes you really have to hammer away at it to get the bars to go in. Mine still has some bars that aren't all the way in each groove. Also, I have a standard IKEA mattress and sometimes you can feel the bars underneath the bed, despite the fact that this box spring also has a cover over it.Don't expect the cover to hold your weight! My cover ripped early on, after someone accidentally stepped on it between two bars.

This review is for the LUCID 10" Gel Memory Foam Mattress - Dual-Layered - CertiPUR Certified - Queen. We purchased this mattress for use in a travel trailer. The Amazon listing calls this a "medium-firm" mattress. The Lucid website lists it as "Medium-firm feel is not too soft and not too firm—it’s particularly great for back sleepers and those with larger frames. Beware: This mattress is extremely firm. We are a back/stomach sleeper and a side sleeper (I am 6'4" and 205#). We both found the mattress to be extremely firm to the point of being so uncomfortable as to not able to get a good night's sleep. The quality appears pretty good though.

Bought this in July 2015. Less than two years later it is sagging in the middle. It won't be long before it is unusable. Extremely disappointed. I bought this for my full size bed. I previously had a queen size bed and wish I could remember the brand of memory foam mattress I bought for it. It's still going strong with no sagging and much more comfortable, after ten years.

I have used it for about a year now, finally decided to write a review after 12 months....this thing started sagging on the 3rd month, but i flipped it around to try to squeeze the most "juice" from it. It gets incredibly soft, to where you have NO SUPPORT at all.

I would never purchase from this company again. I purchased another one for the other room where my roommate sleeps and his is still firm and going strong. Learned my lesson

I can't figure out if it's too firm or too soft. The top part is too. Soft. The bottom part is too firm. I've got a thicker 12 inch mattress from the samr maker that's much better. Go for the 12. Stop being cheap.

You get what you pay for!! I was looking for a cheap bed and that is what I got. The bed didn't last long. The board that are used to hold the fame together is very thin. Needless to say they have all spilt. There is no way to repair this mess, guess I better look for a new bed.

I bought this bed frame less than a year ago and it is already cracking and the middle posts are breaking off. The left side wood panel cracked in half. I weigh 115 pounds...this is a cheap bed. It also came scuffed/scratched. I was told I would be sent a new part to replace the scratched wood but this never happened. I wish I could get a refund, I am very unhappy.

I got this bed around this time last year. By now, it has fallen apart. It DOES NOT support a mattress. It is very hard to put together and it was very flimsy to sleep on, with the mattress not being supported well enough. Everything was as secured as it could be, so the problem wasn't in that. Then, came the fateful night. I had sex on it with another human being, and during, right when we were getting to the good parts, the entire bed fell apart. I've not been able to put it together again, because the two of the wooden beams in the middle snapped and the bed kinda just collapsed. It was an adventure. In anyway, it's utterly frustrating, since this was the first proper bed I've bought and I was very excited to get it, and then, when we were REALLY getting EXCITED ON the bed, it collapsed. Didn't even last an entire year:-/. I'll add pictures in a bit, having trouble sending the pictures form my phone to my computer.

ABSOLUETLY TERRIBLE QUALITY! PLEASE, DO NOT BUY IT!! I thought it would be okay, and it most definitely was NOT. Broke the first night. It's very poorly designed. Caused me A LOT, and I mean A LOT of headache and turmoil. Spend another $10-30 and buy a Bridgeport Panel Bed by DHP. I bought mine on Wayfair. Best buy ever. If you're looking for the best mattress EVER, buy a PURPLE mattress. I'll never sleep on anything else, and they're only $1,000 for a queen, $1,300 for a king. Hope this helps!

Contacted company and informed them I wad missing one slat. Said they would mail a slat to me. Therefore I had to purchase my own slat. Not very sturdy so I purchased stronger slats at home depot. I wouldn't recommend this item.

It would have been easier to build if it wasn't missing several pieces. The pieces of wood that hold up the bed are extremely weak and we're a very fit couple. We ended up letting bed sit on the floor and will have to buy more sturdy pieces. I wish I had just spent the extra money for a good frame. You get what you pay for.Year later update - I'm so upset I wasted good money on this junk. Looks ok from a distance but does not hold up over time and looks awful. I ended up donating it after trying to sell it for $25 bucks but no one was interested. Save your money.

I was happy to receive this item, as I had just ordered a new mattress yet my previous box spring was noisy. Liked that it is metal and not wood, assumed that assembly would be painless. WRONG. Included are 3 sets of screws, one of them labeled "M". These particular screws are intended to secure the center pieces of the frame in somewhat of a cross shape. The included allen wrench is completely unnecessary, as the holes on the frame are too big and the screws slide in and out freely with no wrench required. So, I am sending it back for a product of another brand that does not require assembly. Thankfully Amazon does not charge or deduct return shipping fees for defective products.

Frame is ok. But the cover does not even come close to fitting, so it just ripped when trying to zip it up now the mattress falls through the gaps in the bars. Very unhappy but amazon will only refund or return and this thing was a pain to put together with the cheap made tool they provide that bent and stripped out after two nuts. So because I don't want to take it all back apart and box it up and mail it back I'm stuck with the mattress falling through the gaps. Buy a different one.

Well, the cover is a good 2" too short, I have put on every way I can, and there is absolutely no way to zip this up. First item I've bought on Amazon that I'm disappointed with. Wish I would have just spent the extra money and purchased one with my mattress. Not worth the hassle.

Update: Amazon sent another "King" frame for me but t is the same, King/California King, as it is mentioned in manual. Waste of time and moneyDoes not fit my bed frame so it's completely useless, my bed frame fits two bed boxes, after assembly it's not completely squareAnd it won't lay on the fame.

This is terrible!! I havent had but 4 days and it bent in half in the middle and wont bend back! I am very upset i spent 132 for this piece of crap!!

I've had this bed for right at a year and been turning it and rotating it for 8 months, been looking for a new one don't waste your money on this one.

Have had it for six months and we went to flip it around due to the sink in issue and there was a big patch of mold on the bottom. Warranty is useless.

After less than a year of sleeping on this, my boyfriend's side of the bed is sunken in and not comfortable to sleep on. He's 5'11", and 195#-- a mattress with a 25 year warranty should be able to support a grown man. He wakes up daily with neck, back and sciatic pain. We'll flip the mattress but the dual layers of foam mean it may not be as soft now.I slept in the divot yesterday, it's really bad. Like trying to stand up from a beanbag chair when you gotta pee at 3am.My side of the bed is fine but I'm 5'8" and about 130#.

Bed sank after 6 months of use.

Edit. I have now had this for a few months and it is havoc on my body. It is FIRM. NOT MEDIUM. IF you want firm, buy this mattress. It holds up in all other ways. But there is little give to it. At one point, I fell back onto the bed and hurt the back of my head because it was so hard

As some other reviewers have stated, this mattress may feel great at first but will quickly most of its support - a lot faster than the industry average of 7-10 years. I have had it for a little more than 4 years, and I can already say that it is pretty much junk by now. That is with me being fairly lightweight (170 lbs - 5'11" - male). If you're on the heavier end of the spectrum, the mattress may not even last you as long as it did me - which is already quite abysmal.
Get yourself something else. This will not be the best use of your money!
