| I hate Silpat!August 9, 2017 I hate Silpat!!! - takes for ever to clean and is never clean and is hard to store because it sticks! ... well, I love these BBQ Mats - I use them to line my pans (they are easy to cut to any size), my oven trays and to grill soft veggies! .... and the cleaning is done in no time! - A very good value - BREAKFAST ON THE GRILLDecember 24, 2016 I bought this for a gift to my father! He loves them! They are great for grilling hamburgers, chicken, ribs, steak, potatoes, and especially vegetables. They can cook anything but they are great for breakfast on the grill. I had a BBQ with some friends and let the grill warm up to cooking Temperature with the mats on the grill and they work really great, They stop the flame from flaring up and also keeps any food from falling into the bottom of the grill. They are really easy to clean all you do is wash them with a little dish soap rinse them and let them dry that easy. they are made out of a tough Heat Resistant material and i must say Nothing i cooked on the ever was sticking. keep the grill clean... and maybe help backcountry cooking?May 22, 2016 These mats work just as described. They are amazing (in that they don't burn) and work especially good for fish and shrimp. Best of all is the fact that they are reusable and easy to clean; way easier than cleaning your grill.
I think one use for these would be back backing. They are a light weight and flat surface...easy to fit in the pack. If you were to position a light weight stove with rocks around it ..you could lay the mat over the stove an cook the cutthroat trout you undoubtedly caught. I can't weight for the ice to melt off the alpine lakes so I can try that idea out. WHY didn't I find these sooner?June 13, 2015 These are AWESOME! I used them tonight for the first time. The two mats perfectly fit my grill. I had burgers on one side, veggie kabobs on the other. The burgers didn't flame up at ALL. The veggie kabobs fell apart as they always do but with the mats I didn't lose anything - yay! Also the barbecue sauce I put on the kabobs didn't drip through it stayed on the mat.
I also just pulled them off and used the garden hose to rinse them. Easy peasy. Definitely recommend! | | |

Still allow for grill marking which is very important to my son -not so much to myself. Also, helps but does not eliminate basting juices from running into grill - we use tons of basting sauces. Overall I am very satisfied with the product. If they could improve upon the non-stick aspect I would give a five star. These things are great! The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that they came with no instructions at all....not that you need too much instruction with these but it would be nice to know how hot they can get and how to clean them. But they are pretty amazing....well worth the cost. Easy grill clean upJune 16, 2015 I have used this mat once. Appears to have been totally non-stick. I would have rated higher, if instructions were included. The underside, above the burner was left with a difficult to remove residue. I was able to remove this residue with average scrubbing. Far superior to removing debris from the actual grill. they are dishwasher safer, but again required physical scrubbing to remove debris as described above. | | |

My son in law told me he thought they were great and grilled a tasty barbecued chicken meal using them on his gas grill. My husband, on the other hand, was not equally satisfied. He used them to grill steaks and the end product was dry and without grill marks. In both cases, clean up was a snap since we were able to pop them in the dishwasher. One note I might add, is that the packaging was weak with little info or tips for usage. Pretty good, but the clean up isn't as easy as advertised.June 21, 2015 These things are awesome! Unfortunately, clean up isn't. They don't get completely cleaned in the dish washer and unless you are letting your food get cold and cleaning them as soon as they come off the grill it's going to take a bit to clean. I was making a grill gift bag for a Birthday surprise, and these mats have no real description on them. They are in a clear sleeve and there is a partial description along the barcode, and a slip of paper offering trial opportunities. It looks like I got the mats as a freebie and threw it in the basket just because. It doesn't show any kind of value.They are neat, but not a great gift addition the way they are packaged. Not for baconSeptember 24, 2014 We just purchased a new grill with traditional grates. Our old one had a fantastic grid type that nothing fell through. I ordered these grill mats specifically for bacon. They don't work very well for that purpose, they're probably just fine for a low fat meat, fish, or vegetables.There's no place for the grease to.go and we ended up with a disgusting mess. | | |

We have used one of the two mats, we find that food does stick, and we must soak and wash and soak and wash it to remove whatever has stuck. Frankly we are not sure if what we are removing is food or the mat itself. I do not see any threadbare areas, so I assume we have not been consuming the mat material -- I wish I could be sure.I figured if they didn't work we would not have blown too much price-wise. More than likely we will not use them again. | Not as advertisedJanuary 31, 2016 Poor Quality and NOT 100% Non-Stick material. I tried cooking several different foods on these grill mats and everything stuck and burnt to surface. Eggs stuck and couldn't flip without breaking. Bacon grease ran off mats onto flame which then engulfed the entire mat with a large grease fire. Very disappointed in the performance. I returned them for another brand and will give an update. Waste of moneyJuly 22, 2015 Dont waste your money. I grill often, and never burn my food. The first thing I cooked were chicken wings. The fat has nowhere to go, so it burned to the mats, and therefore charred the food. I removed the wings from the mat, and put them on the top rack, when I tried to remove the mats from the grill, I had a major flare up from the collected fat. In reading other reviews I am now worried if some of the black on the chicken was from the mat. Regardless we threw most of our food away. The comment of dishwasher safe is misleading. I spent 20 minutes trying to clean the burnt on fat, to no avail. There are no instructions with this product either. This is a total waste of money. melted and burned through on first useMay 15, 2015 Melted on first use with my gas grill. Pieces of the teflon material flaked off onto the food making it inedible and had to throw out. I would not order these again. Too much risk of poisoning yourself and loved ones by eating flakes of material. I included photos that show the material whitened from catching fire itself and a whole that burned through one. The item is not recommended for BBQing beef, pork or any meat with fats as the meat just stews in the fat; quite awful. MIGHT be ok for very slow cooking chicken or perhaps veggies. I am uncertain.
