Very best grilling product I have ever purchased!! Anyone who hasn't used one of these is in for the surprise of your life. Not only does it enable you to grill without burning your food or have it catch on fire, but tremendously simplifies grill cleaning afterward, as no grease or food is left burned to the grill surface. Too bad this product wasn't invented 50 years ago...everybody would know about them and use them!! One caution: this package contains two of the sheets, and I grilled for an entire season on one, and it is still in great shape. I have no idea what the product life really is...just that it's longer than one Michigan grilling season. Of course, you can a always give the other one to someone else and become their hero!

I hate a dirty grill! I know you can crank them up to high and burn everything out, but the thought of all that gunk is just skeevy. These work great!! Just two flat surfaces to scrub down after a meal!! Nothing falls between the grates, you can use less oil, and foods like eggplant can be flipped with a spatula without leaving half the slice crisping on the grates. Per the directions, don't go higher than medium heat, so if you want to high-sear something, don't use these. Make sure you let them cool down before you touch them, they do get hot.

Use these mats all the time. They actually do what it says they do. You can cook anything you want on them. They clean easy and fast. But do have to be replaced. How often depends on how many times you use them. You get many uses, but for us, we always have extra on hand, that's how much we love them. Saw these years ago at an RV show, now I see them all over the place. I would recommend them to anyone that lives grilling. Breakfast on the grill anyone?

I replaced my giant, dented, stained cookie sheets with 9 x 12 size. I got these mats and cut them to fit my new ones. So far they have done a great job. It does say not to cut them but another reviewer said he took that to mean not cutting food items on top of the mat. I agree. There did not appear to be any special finishing on the edges. When I cut them, my edges looked just like theirs. They don't fray. They do keep food from sticking and they wash easily...I've done it by hand and in the dishwasher.

Got this yesterday. Put a pork loin on the mats inside my BBQ. Let it cook at medium heat for about an hour until meat temperature hit 145 degrees and it was done. Not only do the mats keep your grill exceptionally clean, but I did not have to turn the meat over.I left it in the same position the entire time and it cooked perfectly like it would have in the oven.I had these mats previously and cooked chicken, fish and vegetables on it. It gets grill marks and looks BBQ's just as if the mats were not there. It's because the grill gets hot enough to make the marks right through the mat.I did ruin my original mats because my grill needed repair. If the mat comes in direct contact with the flame they will turn white from too much heat. They also become more difficult to clean.Keep your grill at medium and away from direct flames and these should do very well.

Interesting! I saw these on TV and found them on Amazon. Thought they sounded strange but the price was reasonable + good reviews, so I went ahead and ordered them.So easy! I pre-heated our gas grill on high for about 5 minutes, scraped off the old muck with a grill brush. Then turned down the heat to medium - medium high, placed the mat on. No crazy curling up or catching on fire. It just sat there.Next I put a bit of basil olive oil on the mat to prepare for putting the food on the grill mat. The oil did slip off the mat and fall into the grill grids but I quickly readjusted the mat with my grill tongs and the oil stayed put.When I laid the food on (corn on the cob, peppers, basil, and halibut steaks), there was an immediate sizzle. Good sign. Within minutes I felt the need to turn the food and, sure enough, there WERE grill marks on the food. Wonderful! Continued cooking until the end and was very, very pleased with the result.After we ate dinner, I went out to clean the grill. The grill and the mat were completely cooled down. I brought a paper towel to wipe up a small bit of remaining oil, gently folded it and brought it in to the kitchen. All of the bits of food, seasoning, and browning came off with just a soapy dish cloth. Dried it and it is now ready for our next grilling.What a cool idea. No more nasty things clinging to the food from the last grilling. No more food and oils falling between the grill grid. If I had wanted more of a dry, char-grilled food I could have easily cooked on the mat without any oils. Great invention.

I was sceptical if this could really work as described but it does work exactly like it is supposed to. I use it on my Jenn-air, right on the grill grates and amazingly it does transfer the grill marks to the steaks. I also fried an egg on it, came out perfect. I made some egg fu yung and the egg didn't run, that alone is reason enough to have one of these mats. I put one mat below the heating coil to catch what dripped and stop it from sticking which saves me hours of cleaning. I just pull the mat from below the coils and the one above the coils that I put the food on and in a few minutes I wipe them clean and put them back. That is so nice not to have a greasy mess to clean up. I am thinking I need to start cooking bacon with one of these mats.

Keeps your grill new! Nothing sticks when cooking with this mat. No burnt grease can get down in your grill. This mat kept my new grill good as new. It turned my budget Weber into an infrared cooking machine. Just the heat gets up through making grill marks and keeping the mess up top, where it's easily washed off in the sink, rather than being caked on burnt crud that never gets removed from the grill and attracts wasps.

Let's start out with I was skeptical about these things. Everyone has seen the infomercials and we all know how thing seem. Well I decided to get one to try it out but I researched it here on Amazon and decided on these. They are thicker than the competition and you pay for it. Well worth the money. I have a 6 burner Ducane Stainless. This was the first grill I tried it on. After heating up the grill with the mat on it, I put some chicken, ribs and hot dogs on it. To my surprise, not only did it cook them well, but it left grill marks. It truly cooked everything well.

So yesterday, here in Northen NJ, the weather was not the best. We were having our closing ceremonies for softball and used a 6 burner event grill. Now it is an open grill (no lid) but has a wind screen. We were trying to cook hamburgers on it. We have used it once before and the burger take a while to cook and tend to fall through the grates. The person cooking was at it for about 3 hours frustrated. I went home and brought these to him. Dropped them on the grill and watched the magic happen. We didn't even let it warm up, just started cooking. Not only did it keep the burger from falling through, but he said it was taking half the time to cook them. My guess is because it disperses the heat evenly across the mat or so it seemed. I put some hot dogs on there as well and just made it super easy to cook. Just roll them to cook the other side. Everyone who walked by the grill was asking what those were and the cook was just saying how impressed he was by them. I told them they are like the ones you see on the infomercial, just thicker, better but cost a bit more. Then I told them they can be reused about 200 times. That blew them away.

People were asking me what brand they were and I told them KONA. Look, if you're going to try one just to see what it can do, get a cheaper one. But you will regret not spending the extra few dollars fro this one. I have felt those and this one is definitely thicker which makes it easier to use like how a griddle would be. Yes, the grease still drops off into your bbq unlike a griddle, but not a big deal.

It cleaned relatively easy from cleaning while on the bbq to bringing it to your sink and some soap and water cleans it off. There are grill marks left from where it was, but not like it burned in. I'll add pictures so you can see. Solid product.

I bought this at full price. No discount, nothing free. This is my opinion of the product. Hope it helps. Great father's day gift for the BBQ dad's out there.

I am so glad I found these. I love my grill, but the grates had seen better days. I was between buying replacement grates for about $80 less than I paid for the grill or chucking the grill and buying a new one. Then I found these on amazon. They work great! Still got lovely grill marks and the mats are incredibly easy to clean. It makes veggies super easy to grill too. I wish I'd found these sooner!

I've used it about 6 or 7 times so far. I've had no early durability issues, no difference of taste and clean up is very easy. I wash it off with warm water and take a sponge with dish soap and clean it off. takes about a minute or two. I've used this with salmon, chicken, hamburgers and steaks. I bought these because I've used heavily used the grill I have for the last 4 years and instead of buying a new one due to much wear I decided to try these. I'm glad I did. I was skeptical at first, but with the money back guarantee I gave it a shot. You can't go wrong with these mats....unless you disregard the instructions.

****Updated--7/21/2016---I've used this A LOT (3-4 times a week) and the mat is still holding up well. I must say though, in the interest of being honest.....it's starting to show signs of wear in 2 spots and on those two spots the material in thinning out and I can see distinctive shapes of grill marks on those two wear patches. Clean up is still easy, still no funky plastic taste that I was afraid I might get. I turn on my gas grill, put the mat on it, when it hits 500 degrees on the grill I put my food on it. I wish I had bought this years ago. My rating still stands because I still have another one I haven't used yet, so I'm glad they came with 2 and I have no idea if they were meant to be used as much as we use them. 3-4 times a week for over 4 months at temps of 500-600 degrees is a lot of wear and tear and at some point the mats will start to break down....I mean they never claimed they were indestructible.

Works great if you are indirectly cooking on a grill. Is not designed for direct protection over the flame.

Our neighbor introduced us to these. After one use we ordered 2 sets for ourselves. A little disappointed when they arrived as they were thin and brown (our neighbors were thinker and black (as shown on the package)). With that said we have used them for Chicken legs and pork chops and they work just as well. A little soak in the sink, slight scrub and top rack of the dish washer! We are so happy to have found these!

Used one mat for nearly 2 years of grilling (average of once every 2 weeks). Wear and tear started within the first year, even though it was managed with manual care/wash. So that was a bit disappointing.

We got them in due time and have been using them since. They are great in the BBQ and I even use them on my some top stop to make grilled sandwiches and other items. Have to remember to keep the burner low to medium.My only somewhat negative comment is that they need to sprayed or the meat sticks to the sheet, but love that they can go in the dishwasher.

This is a really neet product! It fits well in my small gass grill, and when used, cooking on it is not unlike broiling something in your oven, or toaster oven. Since you're using indirect, low heat, you shouldn't be in a hurry for your food to be cooked. For example, a one inch steak would take for well done, give or take 25 minutes. Yes you will have to make sure to turn over your steaks. Otherwise, it seems to clean up pretty easily, just using dish soap and hand washed in the sink. I realize the description says you can wash them in the upper rack in your dish washer, but these are thin enough and today's dishwashers, often have heated wash cycles that operate at a very high temperature it would make me think twice about doing so. Otherwise, I think you will enjoy using these to cook steaks, burgers, or anything you're worried about falling through the grates on your grill, and don't mind waiting a bit longer for your food to be done.

Good grill mats. Seem to be sturdy and I was able to cut one in half so I can cook on the mat or the grill. I will update this review when I actually use them.
Update: After I used the mat I can say I really like it. It browned my pork well and cleanup was a breeze. Cleaned it under hot water with a sponge and soap easily.

I did my first grill yesterday with this mat on and it worked just fine. It was non-stick and food came out real good. My family and friends were impressed with it and i actually advised them to buy these mats. I dropped this mat into the dishwasher once the grill was done and the mat was clean and spotless and it was before I used it.

I like the fact that these help keep my grill grates and are non-stick. They fit my grill perfectly and are simply to clean with just a bit of soap and water with a dishcloth. My only complaint is that they cause a lot of spatter from the chicken I made with it. I was sort of afraid of a fire due to the amount of grease these hold by they didn't. Left a bit of a mess in my grill but it burned off ok. Needs to be some way of the grease to drip off into the grill.

I would have given this 5 stars, only it is not as easy to clean as expected. I thought the food would wash off easily. Not true. Even in the dishwasher, the caked on drippings do not come off. That being said, this mat saves your grill from grime and cooked on food. My salmon flipped easily and was extremely moist. It was the bbq sauce from chicken that got a bit caked on. All in all, a great purchase and I would definitely recommend this product.

Very happy with this purchase. Excellent in that nothing sticks and smaller stuff no longer falls through the grill grates. Grill marks through the mat are a little tough to do, but it also protects delicate meats/veggies from hot spots. I wouldn't use this mat for thick steaks, but definitely appropriate for shrimp, green beans, thin steak, roasted garlic, etc... Would buy again. Would be interested to see how it performs on stainless steel grates as I cook over cast iron.

Should advertise that u cannot use on high heat.. Men are not much for directions, just watch and go and it it does say under the instructions not under high heat, but we all know men never read them. So when advertised, that should be said.. Lol

Good for veggies or stuff that would normally fall through. For meats it traps the moisture which creates a steaming effect underneath. Probably okay for chicken and fish but not good for steak. Beef needs the open flame.

I would not buy it again; but, it was ok. Made it hard to get a good sear on the steaks.

good to use as long as you are not close to the flames. So far I have not seen grill marks but does cook with out messing up the grill.

We were expecting to see grill marks but have seen none. We have used the grill mats two times now but the food doesn't look as good as it does on the open grill. The steak that we cooked didn't get brown, even though it was cooked to nearly well-done. The next time we tried hamburgers, again, no grill marks. The fat came out of the hamburgers and then congealed around each burger. Kind of embarrassing since we had friends over to see how the grill mats worked. They all left saying they wouldn't spend the money for them. So the good thing is that you don't have to scrape the grill after using it, the bad things are the ones that I mentioned above.

The mat does a good job of keeping the grill clean. You are able to dirty the mats which is nice as grill grates can be difficult to clean themselves. With that in mind, it really doesn't provide grill marks. For me, that is fine, but for some customers, I know that is an issue. In addition, and the bigger concern in my opinion, is that it certainly does not come clean like you would expect. I have used the grill mat twice and have not been able to get it clean. This includes rinsing instantly, soaking and scrubbing, and trying to wash it in the dishwasher. Even doing all of these, it hasn't come clean from the residue from cooking a few steaks and brats. Overall the mat is nice for keeping the grill clean but cleaning the mat itself is less than ideal.

I've used them three times thus far. Grilling Hamburgs works great though it does take longer to cook. The mats cleaned easily and beautifully, even with melted cheese. However, when I grilled marinated chicken it grilled them perfectly because it was a slower cook, but the marinade, which was an orange juice and honey concoction, stuck to the mat. I soaked the mat for hours in warm soapy water and scrubbed it but it never fully came clean. Its like a burned pan bottom. And the heat was kept well below the max during cooking. I cooked the chicken around 350F on the grill. Guess I will flip it over and use the other side. I cannot remember if this is warranteed or not!

We just got these and used them the other night. They are great for insuring nothing sticks. Grilling is made easier and I don't notice any difference in taste or appearance from cooking directly on the grill. Best of all, they clean up quick and easy.
Update: After 4 or 5 uses, I noticed the surface of the matt was blistering and separating. After another use, it was toast. Too bad it didn't last. It definitely made clean up easy and helped in grilling small things.

I love how the mat works, it did not come cut straight and was smaller than said I even contacted seller and the responded I did send the pictures showing how bad the where cut they didn't offer to exchange or anything. My son was able to cut the to where it would fit ok. Besides bad customer care and the product not cut right. the product works good

I like this because it's easy to clean but it doesn't let the food have grill marks. I'm not sure if it's safe because of the material it's made out of. I will look more into that. Company was great and delivery was on time.

Upon first use with marinated chicken cooked over gas grill (medium heat), the mat caught on fire. The marinade on the chicken had some oil, it got on the mat and seem top make the edge of the mat catch on fire and burn a hole. I noticed this when I wash the mat and the edge disintegrated.The moral of the story, do not use this mat with marinade that has oil. Otherwise, it should be okay.

The product description is incomplete.It should be stated that it can only be used over indirect heat - not directly over the heat source.You cannot just put it on a charcoal grill like it shows on the package photos (now that I look at it, they all have the same fake red heat).So, in order to do indirect heat on a round charcoal grill, you need to circle the grill with the charcoal. BUT the corners of the rectangular sheet will still be over the direct heat. To avoid this, you would have to cut the corners so they would not be over direct heat. However, the directions state that the mat cannot be cut. In short, we were not able to use the mat and avoid at least parts of it being over direct heat.The only reason it gets 2 stars instead of 1 is that it may work well on gas or electric grills.

Bought this after seeing a posting by another camoer online. I guess it works just not what I expected. Use on my camoer grill to cook eggs and pancakes. The mat gets very hot and it moves around a lot, guess it is a lot thinner than I expected. I also am dissapointed with the non stick surface. Not what I expected, I'm sticking to griddle that I place over grill...works better!!!

use it twice and it fell apart, wash it as the instructions say and it rip. :(don't buy save your money!

The product itself is ok ... however it would be nice if there were actual instructions (like don't use both mats to cover your entire bbq, which may be common knowledge to everyone except me). They have a website (lame) and a facebook page (also not very helpful) to get "ideas" or tips on how to use mat. It would be nice if there was more info other than just how to clean it... disappointed.

It promoted grease fire when I was grilling steaks. The juice builds and spills over a side and then the fire catches. I will try this with fish, but for steaks it didn't work out.

We didn't have instructions, so we threw these on the grill side-by-side and left it to pre-heat for a few minutes on medium-high heat. When we came back out, the grill had gotten above 600 degrees and the mats were melted (beaded up plastic on both sides). Our grill has NEVER gotten that hot in the past. Obviously, we couldn't cook with them after that. We removed the mats and after a hearty scrubbing of the grates, our grill is acting normal again. Perhaps I missed a critical piece of information, but I wouldn't recommend these otherwise.

Somewhat disappointed. Grilled 20 chicken breasts today. Chicken turned out good, but no grill marks. I can live without the grill marks. Clean up was a breeze; however, I noticed that there are 4 or 5 spots where it nearly burned a hole. I expect it will burn through completely when I use them again. They were advertised as handling heat up to 600 degrees. I watched the grill temperature very closely and the temp never got over 450. Even took longer to cook as I was so careful with the temperature. I would normally cook the chicken around 500 degrees.

though they don't stick, they are very difficult to clean. was a waste to buy.....and 4 words people..... Aluminum Foil & Cooking Spray. Is all you need.

Had such big hopes. First time the mat was used it got two huge holes in it. It was not placed on direct flames and it burned right up.

They were not the same at all!!! The picture shown here is different and a different product then I received I bought the one that looks like the photo, at a camper show. Love them!! They were black and heavy duty. These were gold and only lasted for two barbecues. I was going to give the other sets I purchased as gifts. Now I am too embarrassed!!! Terrible.

non-stick? ha ha ha, tired it with tandoori marinated chicken that promptly glued itself to the mat, no amount of scrubbing with soap would remove it all.

I ordered the Kitchen & Home BBQ Grill Mat and was very disappointed to receive an inferior, "BBQ Grill Mat" that was a smaller size and a different type of grill mat. It wasn't what I'd ordered, and I was not told that I'd get a substitute, which I am returning. I don't like "bait and switch."

What a Joke!! This just arrived and it was nothing like they say, it was a piece of Teflongrey in color and Thin, to thin to use. Do not waste your time on these guy's!!

Used once and had to toss. The items stuck to the mat and we couldn't get it washed off.

I had high hopes for this based on the description, but this is only marginally better than the cheap ones. It only lasted a little longer than the cheaper ones and finally broke down and ripped in the center. I do not recommend this product its current price.

The grill matts were not good. I had to throw them away after 1 use due to holes burning in them. The cheaper thinner matts work better in my experience.

I grilled chicken on it one time. I will say the chicken came out awesome!! BUT.....and that's a big 'ol BUT....... when I washed it to use again...it tore and had 3 large hole in it. I hand washed with soap and water.....now I'm stuck with another one...and don't want to use it because when I tried to use the first one...even with the holes...it smelled like tar burning....too bad...thought I was on to something...don't waste your money.

Bought these based on the 4.5 star reviews. Had them for about 3 months, and used them about 8 times and they have huge rips in them. Will not buy again.
