I used this for a First Alert Extinguisher with slight modification.

My fire extinguisher came with a cheap plastic yoke to wall mount the unit. The original failed after a few months and I have been looking for a heavy duty replacement. This fits the bill perfectly. My extinguisher is in the garage and gets bumped from time to time. This bracket holds it securely in place but is quick to release when needed.

This fits the Kidde PRO 340 and PRO 210 perfectly which both have the same diameter of 4.5 inches.i used #12 wood screws to attach through the dry wall and penetrate deeply into the 2x4s.

I use this mount on a 4.25 inch diameter fire extinguisher (Badger model 5MB-6H), a 5lb dry chemical. Before purchasing, I knew that this mount was not designed for this product. However, I purchased it anyway with the intention of making the modification. The mount is mounted in the trunk of my vehicle. I previously had two fire extinguishers get "activated" in my trunk, so it was definitely time to get a real mount, stop losing money on extinguishers, and stop having to clean up the mess.See "customer images" on this product for pictures of my modifications. I made the "neck" of the mount a bit wider with pliers and a drill along the inside of the neck. I then made the metal bracket hold this smaller extinguisher with use of rubber electrical tape (Scotch Linerless Electrical Rubber Tape, .75-Inch by 15-Foot). It's a bit thicker than standard electrical tape. The mount now holds the extinguisher very securely in my trunk, yet it's very easy to release. No more breaking lose in my trunk now! :) Don't forget to check out the customer images if you need an idea for modifications. Heavy, sturdy, well constructed. Plastic safety tab breaks off easily (as it should). Haven't used it on a fire yet, but is made of solid construction.

Good product but I wish there was a list of compatible fire extinguishers. I had the small Kidde fire extinguisher that did not fit so I had to buy the bigger model. But it does a good job and is easy to install

Much better than the cheapo plastic bracket that came with the fire extinguisher. Needed a little adjustment for my particular model, but made the fire extinguisher stable and less prone to accidental dropping from the wall.

Pretty good bracket. Just be aware that if you're ordering with a Kidde extinguisher, that unit probably already has a very basic bracket included. So unless you need a Clamping style bracket, you might be okay with the one included with the extinguisher.

The product worked perfectly with my old Kidde extinguisher but not with the replacement I bought at Home Depot. It worked fine with a 4 lbs. replacement I got at Amazon. Bottom line: if your Kidde fire extinguisher has a broader neck, it won't fit on this bracket.

Good quality bracket that perfectly fits Kiddie 5-lb extinguishers. But if I hadn't read previous reviews about the tight fit, I would have been convinced I'd bought the wrong one. I was almost convinced anyway. The top part of the bracket is supposed to slide through the grooves in the black plastic part of the neck right underneath the pressure indicator (on my model). But the first time I did it, it was VERY hard to get both sides to slide in, correctly aligned, at the same time. I think this is the fault of the plastic neck and not the metal bracket. After the first time, it must have subtly corrected the plastic grooves, and it slid in and out just fine. Better instructions with a picture would have helped to clarify this procedure. The lack of mounting hardware could have been annoying, I suppose, but I always have lots of random screws lying around.

I bought this separate from my fire extinguisher and it fits fine. I use this in my race car, I have it mounted to my floor pan. I have 5 days of track time on it so far and have had no issues with the mount, it's very solid.My only complaint is that the strap isn't adjustable, it can't be rotated or reversed. The clamp is really tight and any little flick releases the lock. Once it's locked though it's good to go.

Required for Coast Guard Approval. They really should be included when buying a marine approved extinguisher. Well made however it will rust if left outdoors which is what the marine environment is all about.

The strap did not fit the extinguisher very well out of the box. I had to do some work to get it to fit and close around the extinguisher. The strap was for the model extinguisher I had.

This should have fit based on the description, but it's too tight. It may loosen up if I work the clamp but it's not a good fit right out of the box.

This does not fit the 5lb CO2 extinguisher. The strap and neck are too small.
