I'm happy
April 25, 2015
I really like this multitool. The knife and axe were not sharp, but that's not an issue. The pouch it came with wasn't the one shown, but I like the black pouch more anyways. Overall I'm happy with this purchase and would recommend this.
great pocket tool
February 4, 2015
Not as big as it looks in the picture, its a bit bigger than 6" so no bigger than an everyday weiner. its definitely made well though,i dont see it breaking on you -EVER-. The axe would be more of a chipper than a splitter because of its size, but itll definitely keep you alive in a survival situation. other than that the tool is perfect. The sheath on the other hand is pure garbage, but its size grants you the ability to just stick it in your pocket so no harm done.
Perfect!
March 16, 2014
I have a couple of these tool sets. They are very useful, well made and sturdy. All of the blades and axe hold a sharp edge. Hammer head is large enough as is the axe. Like the way unit clips together. Pliers and wire clipper also work well.
Remarkably handy for lightweight camping
February 22, 2014
Bought this for its novelty value, but have grown to love this critter. It only weighs about a pound, but the heft is sufficient for hammering a tent stake and (surprisingly) chopping dead wood of around wrist-diameter. The pliers work well for removing the same stubborn tent stake that was hammered the day before. The phillips screwdriver also works as a marlinspike for untying wet knots. The knife and axe will need sharpening. All in all, a good mix of tools for camping. I no longer carry a full-sized hatchet since this tool can fulfill the same role (albeit, not quite as quickly).
Master Multi Tool...at a bargain price
September 18, 2013
This exact tool sells for $55.00 from its manufacturer...only difference is that one comes with a leather sheath and this one comes with a nylon one...perfect for camping or as an emergency tool in house or car. Recommended.
Very handy tool for around the house and camping
September 2, 2013
The first thing that struck me was the quality heavy duty steel it was made of, it was solid ahd not flimsy or thin. I can't even bend any of the accessories. I used his during camp and it came in handy from hammering the tent stakes to chopping small branches. Best of all it was very affordable from Amazon compared to other web sites.

Handy Tiny Tools
August 15, 2017
FULL DISCLOSURE: I didn't buy this tool with the intent of it being super useful. I mainly got it, because it was tiny & sorta cool :) That being said I have used it a few times since purchase and it is indeed functional. Some of the 19 tools are ridiculous to try to use with my larger hands but the main ones (pliers, screwdrivers, wire stripper) work just fine! And for what I paid for it, I feel like I got my moneys worth. Plus it sits on my keys perfectly and doesn't get int he way. I consider this a good buy!
I haven't found a better multitool out on the market yet
June 25, 2017
I haven't found a better multitool out on the market yet. What's so great about this product is you don't have to carry around another item in your pocket because it attaches right to your keychain. I am actually happy that this multitool doesn't have a knife on it. Many other multitools have more knifes then tools so people are intimidated when you take it out to use in public. This multi tool will not replace your toolbox. However, many times it not worth running to your car, garage, basement, etc. just to turn a screw. I carry a whole set of tools in my car but when I'm not with my car this multitool gives me confidence that I have some tools with me if something breaks. Many other reviewers noticed that after a while the tools become extremely lose- I would agree with them. I found a very simple fix for this though. When they become lose I just take a punch and hammer the pivot from the side and they don't come lose. Definitely would recommend this product!
Handy little guy

I love this thing! One thing most multi-tools have a lack of is varying sized screwdrivers. Makes sense though, they try to pack as much as they can in a small size. This tool is a great supplement to have. I close the jaws of the pliers around a belt loop and basically forget about it until I need it. I pretty much only use it for the screwdrivers, but for that purpose, it's perfect for my needs.
Great little pocket tool that is small and has lots of everyday uses.
January 31, 2016
Want to carry a really small multitool but not look like you have joined the Leather multitool crowd? Want to make sure you don't have your little gadget taken away by the TSA? Then the Swiss+ Tech Micro-Max is the tool you are looking for. Its small, compact, shiny, easy to deploy all the tools when ready and it not much larger than a pack of matches.Yes this does not have a blade with it, however it has all the little tools necessary without the sharps to injure those who wish to be handy yet are clumsy when handling tools. It safely secures the jaws around a keyring or just carry it loose in a pocket. Needed something small to carry with me to fix or remove loose objects as part of my daily job. Have a loose handle on the desk drawer? Fixed. That little sharp plastic tab that sticks out and catches your clothes somedays? Gone. Has a lifetime warranty too.
Great Pocket Tool
July 25, 2014
Outstanding pocket tool, purchased this item over regular multitools which were more expensive and had less multi tools to use. This swiss tech key ring tool is the best tool to take on travel esp. international travel has multi uses and for emergency etc., and sizing is exceptional great and doesn't take up any space etc., Wish I had purchased this mult-tool prior to my recent international travel it would have come in handy for opening electronics, toys and other items while on travel. Highly recommend for purchase and to take on trips. Done a lot of research on multi tools and this fits the bill for my use on travel accessoriies needed.
VERY cool tool!
May 11, 2012
I was hesitant about how useful something so small could be, but don't be fooled by it's size, in this case, size DOES matter, but in the reverse. having something so small be this handy is, well, HANDY! I wanted something I could keep in my gun bag and not have to carry a bunch of weight. tighten scopes, etc, but I found this to be way more useful. Buying a couple more to have in my vehicle and to keep around the house so I won't have to grab the big tool bag for smaller projects. Light switch cover loose, no problem, whip this tool out and tighten it up. Need to pop a soda can that is too tight, eyeglasses have a loose screw, easily fixed. Great tool for so many things. Swiss tech does it right! I have an organizer by them and amazed at all the attention to detail. Highly recommend this tool over so many of the cheaply made knockoffs you see now adays!

Clever design, can be useful, mediocre craftsmanship
May 26, 2016
This is not a finely machined tool, but at this price one should not expect miracles. What it is though is a pretty solid chunk of multi-tool. I got it for camping and use as a portable hammer for staking down tents and flys. And for that it seems to be fine, there's just enough heft to give it some weight. The additional functions are just a bonus; I don't expect I'll need them much but the pliers could come in handy, and the file works fine. I don't think I'll ever use the axe...just can't think of any tiny trees I need to chop down though maybe I could use it to chop up some kindling. But with some sharpening the knife will do for light jobs in a pinch.I can't get completely away from this review without poking a little more fun at the machine work. On my device there are all sorts of uneven edges. In addition the multi-tool blades aren't perfectly straight, so the leftmost blade (with the file and a dull saw) won't close all the way because it hits the inside end of the screw holding in the decorative wood panel on the handle or hits the left side of the handle itself. It's not a major problem, you can just gently push the blade right and it will slip into its place, but if you appreciate craftsmanship, let's just say you get what you pay for here.Still useful enough for what I needed and quite inexpensive, so I'll plop down four stars and I'll hang on to it.
Cool Multi-Tool!
March 21, 2016
Great little multi-tool. If it came with a better axe cover, so that I wasn't always backtracking to look for it, and if it had a leather tool pouch that could slide on a belt with a flap that snapped over the axe head, it would definitely be a five star tool. It's still pretty good, as long as the axe head cover doesn't come off, while you're enthusiastically driving nails into the wall!
Seems to be a good multi tool
March 3, 2016
I read some of the reviews and one of them a guy tested out this multi tool camping and it worked for him. Though I haven't tested it out while camping yet, I definitely plan to. I rated this 4stars until the test. If it does well I plan to put this in my sons BOB. Just by handling it, it's got some weight to it. I can see how that will be useful when using it as a hammer or the hatchet. The hatchet does need to be sharpened before any real use as it won't even cut my thumb. I like that it comes with a plastic cover for the hatchet so it shouldn't cut things up if I throw it in a bag.
but when you are out in the middle of Know-Where it is better than a rock and a stick
September 21, 2015
Bought this for my SHTF pack. It feels solid and should do what is expected of it. It is NOT a full size hammer, or hatchet, or, or, or. If you need those things, buy the real thing, but when you are out in the middle of Know-Where it is better than a rock and a stick.Buy this if you need a little something to help, but don't buy this and expect it to be your everyday solution to full size jobs or problems. It wasn't designed for that.

September 17, 2015
Smaller than expected. Would give it 5 stars except for the flimsy plastic cover over the very shap hatchet side. It does not stay on and makes it almost a guarantee that you will cut yourself.
REALLY 3.5 STARS
March 17, 2015
I like this multitool. Nice and solidly built. Dropped a star for safety reasons:1. The included carry case leaves the axe blade exposed unless you keep the plastic protective sheath it came with on the blade. The sheath doesn't appear to be for regular use, just to cover the blade for shipping purposes. If the plastic cover really was meant for regular use, if you lose the tiny piece of plastic, your screwed. I will need to buy another carry pouch.2. The edges on the handle of the tool where the additional tools come out is EXTREMELY SHARP. I would not recommend using this tool without gloves or filing down those edges, you might slice you're thumb off. If anyone has an idea on how to smooth the inside edges, I'd love to hear them.

April 19, 2017
Cool gadget, but it was larger and heavier that I would have liked for a key chain, so I just keep it in my backpack now. The tools seem to be of relatively good quality though.
Handy little tool.
February 21, 2017
I got this for a stocking stuffer for my step dad for Christmas. He's a mechanic and a general handy man where his family is concerned. One of his kids always has something that needs "tinkering" so I thought he could keep this on hand for the tinker emergencies. The tool seems kind of small to be effective, he said he really liked it and he carries it with him. I have never seen him use it, so it might be to not hurt my feelings. The concept seems really great though so I hope he's getting a lot of impromptu use out of it.
Handy to have in a pinch
December 30, 2014
Very small, handy little tool. I read the description but was surprised at how small it was in person. I ordered it to keep in the kitchen drawer so I could have easy access to common tools without having to dig out my toolbox. Would have been nice if it had a blade, and honestly, if it were just a little bigger. The screwdrivers are fine as long as you don't have to access screws far down in plastic cases.
SIZE MATTERS
August 2, 2013
This is a slight improvement over the original Swiss-Tech device in that it is slightly bigger..Hey Swiss-Tech make it much bigger and you'll have something!Getting 19 tools is a stretch. If you count the scales etched on some of the parts maybe there is...On the other hand having SOME tools with you is OK. Being able to tighten a couple of nuts or screws would help now wouldn't it?The crimper is a farce. It's too small. See the comment about bigger above. The very small [too small] gimlet would help to start a screw in wood or plastic but it might break if you tried it too many times.Make it bigger and you really have something!
Well Design, compact and sturdy
August 27, 2012
This tool is so compact and it can easily lock to your key ring.Pros:Well design, looks like a quality product. It's so well made I dont think it will ever break. With the locking trick it usees, it can easily be out of the ring when in use. You dont have to roll by the ring to take it out of the ring.Cons:It should require a cap to cover the sharpe end. If you are attaching it with your car/home keys and always put the keys in your pocket, it may create some holes in you pocket.Overall its a good buy and a quality product.
Surprisingly useful for such a small tool
March 23, 2011
While this will never replace my Super Tool, this little gizmo is surprisngly useful. I especially like how the jaws fit a 1/4 inch hex, which is what almost all screwdriver/nutdriver insert bits are. The pliers are very precise, and the drivers seem strong enough so far. If you keep in mind this is a tool designed to pack as much usefulness in a keychain-sized package, and not think of it as a toolbox replacement, you will be happy with it.The wire crimpers seemed odd, but I actually used them in an emergency trailer light repair, and they did work well enough to get things working until I could fix it the right way at home (solder & heat shrink). I also like how the wire cutters hold the wire in place so it can't slip. The way I look at it, $7 is worth it for a tool that can unscrew a trailer taillight, cut a bad wire, peel the insulation, and crimp on a splice. Kept me out of a fix it ticket, so it was well worth it.

It's okay. Design could be improved.
June 28, 2016
I bought this product for camping. It seemed like a nice all in one tool. While it did definitely help out in certain times (hammering in the tent spikes and opening a can of soup when we had no can opener -- NOTE there is no specific tool for this, we just used a knife) it seems a bit poorly designed. It doesn't feel comfortable when you hold the handle and use it as a hammer. The plier function is clunky and the knife wasn't particularly sharp. It just seemed....difficult to use. Again it is space efficient and has a number of tools that can help in a pinch, but I can't imagine that there's NOT a better product out there. As an aside, I am in no way affiliated with this product or company. Just leaving an honest review in hopes that it's helpful. If you did find it helpful I'd appreciate it if you'd click that it was! Thanks.
Just OK.
June 21, 2016
Figured it would be a useful tool for camping. The hammer part I found to be too small to be really useful. The small hatchet is pretty useless. I found the weight of the entire thing to be heavy. The latch which keeps the pliers handle pulled in kept coming lose as I used the hammer and hatchet portions and that was annoying. Most of the weight is in the handle portion. I didn't find the handle comfortable to hold in my hand while hammering or chopping with the hatchet. I did not use the knife, saw or screwdriver pieces, so those will remain to be tested. I would probably say, take a portable tree trimming saw for cutting branches and use a rock as a hammer and get a good camping knife and all will probably work better. I wouldn't not recommend this tool for backpackers as it does add some weight. For car camping it is somewhat useful and will continue to use it for those trips.
Seems decent, but the product is far too heavy
September 25, 2015
So the product doesn't work for what I want. I was hoping to have a decent alternative to a leatherman (just trying to save a few bucks) and while the construction seems solid the weight is so high that I cannot justify putting it in my bag. I have a Kershaw machete that weighs less that this compact tool.No reason to return it at this price point, but it has been regulated down to my car trunk.
Not as Pictured in the description
April 21, 2015
Very functional product but could be better. My biggest complaint is the cover to the open hatchet blade. Mine personally came with a small flimsy piece of plastic that was ill fitting and would not stay on. It was paper thin and was obvious it was only there for packaging.A durable cover needs to be included. Something that either snaps on or is a heavier, sturdier material. It appears that the one pictured is not the same. Mine was equivalent to soft packaging plastic you may find something wrapped in, hanging on the shelf. The open blade makes carrying this difficult. I prefer a sharp blade on my tools but must keep this one dull in fear of accidental cuts.I also did not receive the soft cloth and the case that comes with it does not enclose the blade like pictured. I have included pictures of my case to show.
Helpful tips for Could City 8 in 1 multi tool

This is an ok tool for light usage. The best best tool is actually the hammer - it's a convenient little hammer to have.Pros:small and packs away nicelygood little hammerpocket knife bladeConsyou really cant carry this in your pocket because of the blade on the opposite the hammer end. There is cover for the blade but its not very good.many of the tools are not sturdy enough to be useful.I probably would not buy again. There are better multi tool options
Novelty Item Only
August 25, 2014
**This is a novelty item, not a real tool.** I purchased this thinking it was more heavy-duty than it really is. It's certainly a neat idea, and has a bunch of tools, but it can't withstand real use. One of the side panels broke within minutes of using the hammer, and the belt strap came apart after one day of being attached to a belt. I would not recommend this item for adults. It might be useful for a young scout, but doesn't stand up to real usage.

October 15, 2016
I had it since 2014 and it worked great initially, but now it's loosened up so much it won't stay on my keychain anymore. I can't carry it around anymore and will have to try something else :(
It's not a leatherman, but not bad at all for the price.
January 22, 2014
As others have mentioned not having a knife in the tool is disappointing but I knew that going in so it was to be expected. The construction of the tool seems solid after a month of hanging out in my pocket and being used to open a bottle of beer, open kids toys for changing batteries, minor fastener tightening, etc.In all, the metal seems legit, and the shape of the individual tools themselves fit most screws and tasks they were designed for well. However, the shape of the overall tool makes it unwieldy to use. If it were easier to handle while trying to use it, I'd give it 4 or even 5 stars.I do like how this tool holds onto my key ring using the pliers, and have found that they stay attached to the keys in my pocket very well. Also, even with the misgivings I have about the tool, I think it's a much better build than I had expected for the price. This tool was meant to replace a leatherman p4 squirt that I've carried for probably 6 or maybe 8 years. I'm going to give this thing a few more weeks, but my feeling is that it's going to go in the dresser and my beat up squirt is going to go back into daily service. In all, I feel that there are better tools on the market that fit this niche. However, for a trinket / stocking stuffer, it's not a bad tool, especially considering the price. Had I not used a similar tool for so long that I had liked better, I'd probably rate it higher as well as the tool does give a nice first impression.
Bit off more than they can chew
October 30, 2013
I got this as a one-and-done carry tool. It was motivated by every single time I raised my fist at heaven and cursed my lack of an eerily specific phillips-head or flathead screwdriver. The pliers and minimalist clamping design were just icing on the cake. Where could this wonderful relationship have gone so awfully wrong? Well let's start with the fact I'm still shaking my hand at heaven in search of that oddly specific piece of hardware. The hinges are ridiculously loose and have been so since 3 months of owning this tool. When I drive, the two driver arms hang down from my keyring and look like a tuning fork. It just doesn't stay compact anymore and is always unfolding. I reckon I'm about a day away from it dropping off. Couple that with the fact that the arms are just too small and the joints just to weak (and you'll loosen them further if you try) to get good leverage. It was a impressively good idea in theory. In practice? Not so.
Handy, limited
July 23, 2012
So far I have owned three of these little guys. My first was surrendered as I entered traffic court to see a clerk. Despite its lack of a blade the security guard claimed it was still pointy. OK. I am not going to argue in a place like that, but seriously, my car key is longer and sharper than this thing. While waiting in line for 90 min, I decided to immediately order 2 more. They came the next morning. Not bad.I had to install new blinkers and a tail tidy on my motorcycle over the weekend, so I decided to put #2 to the test. I have proper tools, but thought it would be an interesting challenge to see how well this little thing would work in 'real world' conditions. The screw drivers perform just OK. Awkward to hold in the fully open position. I found using it in a 90 degree position worked best. If you need to apply a lot of force, it is difficult to get a lot of torque, but manageable. The pliers/hex wrench worked about as good as I hoped for their size. They were able to bite onto the head and allow me to use a screw driver effectively on the other side without stripping out. The pliers were OK for crimping. The big let down was the small hand drill. I tested it on a little piece of wood and wasn't able to get it to do much. While working on the bike, I tried to use it to widen an electrical quick connect and it bent. Upon closing the tool, the bent drill then sheared off. Not so good.I still carry #3 with me on my key chain as a first try/last resort type of tool, but remember, you get what you pay for. For some reason, I just like this thing.

October 11, 2015
lt is very nice except for the little rubber part that covers the ax part of it, once you take it off to use the ax the rubber part will no longer stay on snug, and that is dangerous if you have it on your belt, the cover should cover the whole ax head.
Nice tool, but not what was advertised.
September 19, 2015
The product is nice, however what we got was not exactly the same as the picture and discription of the product. What I got was a hammer with all the tools, but no axe.
Ehhhh
March 19, 2015
There's a few things wrong with this product. The axe head is as dull as a plastic knife. When I attached the tool to my belt in its sheath it would lean to one side due to the offset weight of the hammer and it was very annoying. It was just a burden to carry around. It didn't feel like it was made with care in the hand. It's an okay tool but I did not like this product.

The arms worked loose. The plier jaws separated. It fell off the keyring.
July 12, 2017
I would have loved to love this multitool. It's very pretty and lightweight, and it seems well made. But after carrying it every day on my keyring and after it survived a handfull of sessions of jogging and jumping in the park, it worked itself open and wound up on the ground. If it hadn't hit my ankle, I might not have ever known whatever became of it. Bottom line: The arms worked loose and then the plier jaws separated ever so slightly, but enough for the key ring to slip through. If only this multi-tool had a key fob or a little hole or something to put a keyring through, I still would have given it five stars.

January 20, 2015
I bought this as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend. A few days ago he told me one of the sides was loose and the tool was not working correctly. I went and requested it to be replaced. I requested it late Friday night and received a new one on SUNDAY afternoon. This was the easiest return I have ever had to make. I would buy from them again! The tool itself is great quality and a great addition to a handyman's key chain! I would highly recommend to anyone!UPDATE: Although they have fantastic customer service, the second product I have received has also come loose and is not working properly. I am very disappointed!
Poor quality control (presuming some people receive a better tool than what I received!)
December 16, 2013
This tool was a great idea, reasonably priced (when on-sale) and including a nice assortment of miniature tools. However, it fails in the primary function for which I purchased it -- the jaws of the pliers poorly match prohibiting its usefulness in gripping any small items for which it is properly sized. Sure, it might still hold a 2-penny nail, but the tool is much too small for securely holding large pieces while applying significant force. The other functions may work okay, but I didn't even try them because I plan on returning this item to Amazon. Good luck with the product you receive -- apparently some people received better quality items or perhaps most simply use it as a decorative key-chain accessory (a mechanical rabbit's foot?).
Loose rivets hinder effectiveness and portability
May 17, 2013
My score is not based on the product's efficiency or usability. Please understand that a tool this portable may not provide enough torque to get even some simple jobs done, but it has its uses.My score is justified by the rather weak center rivet that holds both halves together. My tool loosened within a few days of use to the point that it will not hold onto my keychain. Also loose are the rivets that secure the arms of the tool. I still keep the tool around but it is now secured with a rubberband.
Okay multitool. Terrible keychain.
January 10, 2013
When I buy a keychain, the one thing I want more than anything is for it to hold onto my keys. Kinda obvious. That's the point of keychains, right? This one? NOT so good at that.See those pliers up there? One of the 19 tools you get in this "keychain"? THAT is the thing that holds onto your keys. Here's the problem with that idea: pliers open frequently with use, don't they? That's kinda what pliers do. They open and close. And if your keys are in there when they open, well, kiss 'em goodbye! You'd need a keychain for your keychain. The tools themselves, when not in keychain form, are fine. A good little screwdriver or two, a tiny ruler, a nail file, a drill... wha?? Yes, in case you need to do some masonry with your keychain, there's a tiny drill tool in this thing. All the tools are very thick and serviceable and weighty, but very, very tiny, as well as exceptionally hard. They hurt my hands when I use them, but if I had no other choice? They'd be moderately acceptableSo ultimately what you have here is a tiny, painful, terrible keychain with a drill, and it loses your keys.
Micro-Max...a bit dissapointing
August 6, 2012
Just received the productSwiss+Tech MMCSSS Micro-Max 19-in-1 Keychain Multitool today. It is a tidy looking device and looks as though it would sit comfortably on my key ring. The problem with the one I received is that the rivet used on the Phillips head side is loose. This allows for the 4 tools on this side of the jaws to swing around freely and makes for an uncomfortable experience in one's pocket. The device could do with a securing mechanism so that when folded, both screwdriver sets remain stowed in their home position. The other disadvantage to the loose side is that it creates an unstable grasping point from which to manipulate the screwdrivers. Looking at the rivets used, I would suggest that with use, the other side too will loosen up. This means that the possibility of the multitool remaining attached to your key ring is reduced somewhat. I won't be bothered to return it as the postage $ is about the same as the cost! So that is a plus...the price!

not sure if its supposed to be like this.....

the wire cutter looks used and it came really dirty and smelled funny like it was used and returned.
Item not as advertised
February 16, 2016
Very disappointed. I ordered it expecting it to look like it does in the picture above. A hammer on one side and an ax on the other. Instead I received a similar looking item with a hammer on one side and a nail puller on the other. I have several similar hammers already I was disappointed but left it at that

They "got " me on this one! Quality seems very circumspect. It arrived with the wood handle detached on one side...and it has not even been used!

I wanted to like this guy
March 6, 2016
I wanted to like this guy, It seems to be a great sleek tool to carry, with lots of functions, and right out of the bag, it would seem like a quality instrument. but after using this for just two weeks, the pins that hold all the little tools on the side on, became loose. so loose, that they would freely spin as if they where meant to do that. But, when you have all the tools spinning, you can't use the pliers or any of the other tools because you can't properly grip the instrument. So, If I where you, I would look at something in the leatherman line, since they too create no bladed multitools.Happy shopping, Joe Blow
Not a good tool
February 5, 2016
The hard edges so well rounded and polished that they polished the ends of the smaller screwdrivers making them useless. Probably a good bottle opener though.
Cool concept, needs some work.

Don't bother, it's just not a useable tool. It's a neat concept but practical application deems it essentially worthless. The pins that hold the tools on and provide friction to keep it closed will loosen up over time and the handles will not stay in a positing that keeps the players from opening up. IT WILL HAPPEN EVENTUALLY. The tool when being used does not fit in the hand in such a way that would allow any actual work to be done. If you want to try it out, by all means it's only a couple bucks. Keep in mind though, those handles will begin to loosen so you'll want to be sure it's still on your key chain, check often.
Looking for a great little bladeless pocket tool? Look elsewhere.

In the search for some new pocket sized tools, I decided to check out the newer offerings from Swiss Tech. I have one of the original Swiss+Tech Micro Tech's that's about 6 years old (gold Ti nitride coated), and it's great. Compared to this Micro-Max, it's in an entirely different class of product.Issues I have with this tool:- the rivets that hold the tool together are significantly thinner than the older tools. This means that they loosen up far more easily, and won't withstand the same kind of use. Already after a few weeks the left arm is loose enough that it will open on it's own. There's not really enough "meat" on the rivet to tap it tight again.- Bottle opener is extremely awkward to use, and doesn't work that well when you try. Additionally, it's cast in such a way that it actually hits the opposite side of the tool when closing, marring the surface.- the Jaws on the pliers don't meet up flush when closed.- Grinding on all the tools is poor. Screwdriver tips are rounded off so much so that the small Philips won't even fit into a #0 screw head, grinding slag and tooling marks are visible on most of them (but hey, it's polished grinding slag, lol).- the "pilot hole drill" was bend slightly, causing it to catch on the other tools when opening and closing. It's not really a drill either, more like a small screw (there is no "blade" as if it were a drill, just a screw thread that comes to a sort of point)Honestly compared to the old tool, you would think that one was real, the other was a cheap knockoff. Swiss+Tech has compromised manufacturing quality significantly on these, I hope the cost savings for them were worth it.
I really hope they are better made than this item

Don't buy it if you are going to use it. The first time I used it the rivet in one side became loose and nothing I could do will tighten it. It now will not stay on my key chain and one handle flops around. I purchased two of the more expensive palm tools and have not received them yet. I really hope they are better made than this item.
Worthless

I guess I should have known better by simply looking at the size of it and considering how it would actually function. All of tools are really too small to serve any useful purpose. The other major issue which is caused by it's small size is the lack of friction in the pins that hold this thing together. Without the proper friction, the tools fail to stay open or stay in a usable position. Try using the pliers one time after it's had a couple of days to break in, and the joint that folds the tools open/closed fails to stay in a straight position which renders the pliers useless. As a keychain it is equally worthless as they plier jaws have a tendency to open at will. I am surprised that Swiss would put their name on such a lame excuse for a "multitool" even if it is marketed as a keychain. I have never been disappointed with any of their products until now. I guess you can't assume all products a company are made equal.
