Excellent chair
November 20, 2016
Ordered this chair to replace a much cheaper brand from a local retai store. Some family members had these chairs and we bought ours based on that. We love these chairs. They are very light weight and portable. We attend high school games and the bleachers are all narrow so these chairs are perfect for those who sit behind us too. Fabric is easy to clean and durable.
Great buy and comfort, no more sore back from bleachers.
October 14, 2015
Comfortable, and easy to carry. We have been using these a lot for High School stadium events and indoor gymnasium events. Have had friends ask about them and order theirs off Amazon. The padding is adequate and the back rest is great, after an hour of sitting in stadium bleachers you can still walk! There is a swing down clip/bar that prevents the chair flipping backwards if you lean back. We usually don't use it, the chair is pretty stable by itself. We went with the narrower chair which matches up to the width limit of the bleacher seating when you have assigned seat spaces. Wife and I used a tape measure to make sure it would work. She is 5'-7" and less than 150, I am 5'11" 200. Some mentioned about the seat cover coming off. Ours were secured in place with screws already. Went with the black ones.
Surprising comfort
December 12, 2014
Amazingly comfortable chair and I'm a big guy (tall, work-out.) I would caution, learned courtesy of my pre-teen daughter's desire to want to almost sleep in this thing; the chair isn't meant to be a recliner so putting your feet up on the bench in front of you and pushing back will definitely shorten the useful life of this chair. I'm curious to see how long it will be before the fabric stretches out and the "bouncy" feel of the seat gives way. Easy to carry, the simple handle works like a charm and, if like me, your wife asks you to carry hers, two of these chairs fit nicely back to back with the handles perfectly positioned and in this case I didn't mind carrying her chair even though they weigh 7 pounds each. I don't understand why there aren't two hooks to grab the bench underneath the chair, but surely some engineer figured it wasn't necessary. Comparing it to other chairs I see people sitting on, this chair is hefty tubular steel with solid joints. I stay comfy while they seem to be constantly adjusting.
More comfortable than expected, and totally easy to carry
December 9, 2011
I acquired this in a holiday lightning deal on Amazon for th ir ty dol l ars. It arrived very quickly and in good condition. Most importantly, it is very comfortable and seems like a sturdy, well made product. My wife and I have both used it for sitting in bleachers and we both attest to a high degree of comfort. The other reviews pretty much tell it all, but I would reinforce the point that the larger chair of the same brand is more comfortable than this one (we got one of each). However the larger one also takes up a few inches more width on the bleacher, and if you're attending an event that's crowded, you might regret it.

The person who said it's too heavy must have no arm strength whatsoever, or they're totally a troll. Although the Markwort chair is bigger and heavier than the typical padded-fabric seat (which provides vastly less support and comfort), that should come as no surprise to anyone who looks at the picture and sees its frame is made of tubular metal. For being as sturdy and well made as it is, I think it's very lightweight and easy to carry.

I'm glad we got the chair and I would highly recommend it to anyone else. In fact I'd say that if you are thinking about it, get it sooner rather than later, as it looks like something that will last a very long time. Might as well get as much use out of it as you can, while you're still sitting in bleachers watching the kids play basketball and whatnot!
Comfortable stadium chair
April 3, 2011
Needed to purchase a chair to sit on those super-uncomfortable concrete bleachers that so many high schools have. I purchased this stadium chair and one that was a different style (padded on bottom, instead of the "suspended type" seat this one has) to see which one was more comfortable. I thought this one was by far the more comfortable. If you're looking for comfort in a stadium chair...look no further.

Wonderful product! Worth the $$
June 15, 2017
Love this, but would give it a 4.5 out of 5 if possible. One of the arms tends to get stuck and I have to have help with that, but otherside it's WONDERFUL for swim meets and track meets. VERY comfy and easily flattens. Perfect for transporting back and forth and useful! SO glad we found this. I do recommend the red too - the black ones get VERY hot in the sun!
Just perfect!
March 10, 2017
Don't know how we managed without these! Lots of compliments from other sports supporters sitting around us. Haven't seen that many with these exact chairs. The adjustable seat keeps us comfortable while sitting hours on bleachers. Arm rests are awesome! Very easy to toss over the shoulder and go! Mine are not showing wear as others have stated but we take very good care of ours.
So comfortable and easy to use
March 4, 2017
So comfortable and easy to use. Quality is great, well built and looks awesome. Saves your back and butt when sitting on hard bleachers watching baseball games!
A MUST HAVE for any bleacher sports fan!
April 29, 2016
Very comfortable chair! I needed something to sit through long hours and hot afternoons at my sons baseball games. This chair is easy to transport with the "backpack" style straps. It folds and unfolds quite easily. The arm rest are an added bonus as it provides a true recliner feel. I was initially worried about whether or not the chair would stay seated on the bleacher. There is no hook or anchoring system to secure it to the actual bleacher seat. Several reviews indicated that it stayed put. I can confirm that I have had no issues with the chair, even with the seat in a more reclined position. The solid back serves as a wind block on colder evenings. Overall a great seat with adequate padding to keep me comfortable all day. Exactly what I was looking for. I have already recommended the chair to several of the other parents and they too love it!
Buy these and avoid being disappointed!
February 21, 2015
These seats are excellent! I'm not surprised the manufacturer ran out and they were on back order!. These are sturdy seats with plenty of cushioning and adjust to any position-even reclining! The arms are actually sturdy enough to be useful! The whole seat is easily portable with back-straps. What else could anyone possibly want in a stadium seat? I am small and my husband is not yet we both found these seats comfortable.
Comfortable & Practical!
June 4, 2012
I bought this chair intending to use it for outdoor concerts, picnics, etc and chose this model because of the armrests. While I can't comment on its long term durability having just received it today, I will say that for comfort, practicality, portability and appearance it meets all of my expectations. The different adjustable positions are a definite plus and folding/unfolding it is actually very simple. The instructions are in fact on the paperboard insert but folding it is intuitive and flattening it simply requires you to fold it all the way in and then back to flat. The cushion is well padded and there are zippers that allow you to access the padding. I don't intend to mess with this unless I need to at some point down the road but I like that there is an easy way to get to it. I can personally see sitting in this chair for long periods of time and being quite comfortable. The supports seem to be very sturdy both in the main section of the chair and the armrests. I am sure that they are not invincible but with normal and proper use I think I expect them to hold up well. I think the important thing is to understand how the folding/unfolding works and not to try to force it to flatten as I can see that damaging the folding mechanism (which would be tough anyway).Regarding portability, I personally like the backpack method of transporting the chair. While I was somewhat skeptical before ordering it as some people have found it awkward or bulky, I think for me this method is going to work best in the long run. The chair is not heavy at all. I am 5'7" and find that I can walk quite comfortably with it on my back and this frees my hands to carry something else without trying to 'juggle' things. The only comments on or potential problems I can see with this method are as follows:- if there are very strong winds it might become a sail but it's also big enough to provide some protection against flying debris that you can't see behind you (look for the silver lining, right?).- I like to put my (very long) hair up in a bun and the chair is tall enough that my bun will hit the chair as I am walking. I intend to solve this by wearing it another way and don't expect too many people will have this problem, but I thought I'd mention it.- The backpack straps are not heavily padded, but I don't really find this to be an issue since the chair is very light and I don't intend to take it on long hiking trips anyway. The zipper pouch for carrying things is a nice feature but I wouldn't expect to put a lot in there. It is about 16" wide x 7" high. I probably won't be putting much more than keys, phone, wallet and maybe a camera or small book in there. It's right behind my head when I am carrying the chair.Regarding color, I found it to be quite accurate to the picture on my monitor. The blue is very bright and quite attractive (I have also ordered a green chair but I am still waiting for it to arrive as Amazon shipped them separately). I hope that the color will hold up well with use in the sun, but only time will tell on that one!One last thing is in regards to the shipping/packaging. Even though I ordered two chairs at the same time they are being shipped separately (I think the different colors may come from different sellers, but this wasn't obvious to me at checkout). The box that the first one arrived in is more than big enough for both of them, though, so I would have personally preferred that they be shipped together. Hopefully my situation was an anomaly, though! Otherwise, the packaging both on the chair and from Amazon was perfectly fine.Overall I find this to be an excellent chair and hope to get a lot of use out of it!

Does the trick!
June 16, 2016
This seat is just like those you can purchase from the high schools. I bought my own iron on stencils and saved about $30 in total. It's comfortable for about 2 hours and then the 90 degree posture tends to bother me a little. An option for a cup holder would be nice.
Great Chair
November 6, 2015
Most comfortable for sitting a long time in a stadium. Quality construction and materials. Only one thing keeping me from giving it five stars: The weight. It is a bit heavy to carry around. We tried the bags, but adapted luggage straps. These seem to make the carrying chore easier.
Great chair, but inspect it first upon receipt.
March 3, 2015
I bought two of these chairs and they are absolutely wonderful. The reason I am not giving 5 stars is due to a rip in one of the chairs right on the seat at the very end where your leg comes down. I just don't have time for the return process as I realized it right before a game, shame on me for not inspecting it more closely upon arrival, so I just kept it as is. Otherwise the chair is of great quality and exactly as pictured (except defect).
Great seat
January 21, 2015
I bought this for my daughter who has lupus. She has painful joints and sitting is very hard for her. My two grandchildren play basketball and we sit thru three games a week. My granddaughter also plays on a travel basketball team. My daughter loved this seat except the bar across the back hurts her back. The seat is heavy but except for that bar, is very comfortable. The hook on the bottom is very nice also. I was thrilled to give and get this for my daughter.
Well designed for its purpose
October 4, 2012
I have bad back so sitting long time on stadium bench for couple of hours can be rather painful. This bench chair works well in that it has hook that you slide underneath the bench to hold the chair in place. The back support does good job of keeping my back from bending and allowing me to concentrate more on watching instead of being distracted. Also, the chair will better protect you from hot or cold metallic bench.

Because the chair is solid build, it may feel heavy for some to carry around for distance. Also, if possible, I would recommend that people go to store and try sitting on it first. I ordered mine online sight unseen and while I can sit on it, I feel I am close to the limit of width of chair.

Great comfortable chair easy to operate just a little bulky to carry around
Super comfortable & love the arm rests
January 8, 2017
Super comfortable & love the arm rests! Option for no armrests for wider seats. Conversion is a small challenge though. I use armrest every time so no worries. My daughter & I like this one. It is easy to carry as it has backpack straps but we feel like we are wearing a wing on our backs... light but big.
LIFETIME WARRANTY CLAIM (UPDATED on 08/26/2016)
August 12, 2016
I bought 2 of these seats. One of them broke after a couple of months. The folding mechanism got stuck, and it would not fold flat anymore. I contacted the company, and this first time around they send me a pre-paid shipping label for the return, and send me a replacement chair. So, even though I was disappointed that the chair broke so soon, I was happy with the service at that time.Forward just a bit over 1 year, and now both of our seats have issues. The material is ripped on both seats, along the seams of the cushions, and one seat has a broken folding mechanism again. Now, these seats come with a LIFETIME warranty, and yes, the company stands behind that. But the big GOTCHA is, that this time around, I have to pay for the shipping back. Well, these are large boxes, especially the one for the chair that doesn't fold flat anymore. Therefore, the shipping is as much as a new chair. Well played, PICNIC TIME, well played. I am moving on to another brand.Picnic Time Portable Ventura Reclining Stadium Seat, BlackUPDATE (08/26/2016) - The company did honor their guarantee, and I received replacement chairs. Thank you for standing behind the guarantee, PicnicTime
Almost Love it.
July 17, 2015
Very comfortable chairs, plenty of cushion, nice grip on the bottoms, and love the arm rests and different locking positions for the back rest. Great for bleacher or grass sitting. The 4 star rating is because we own two of these and when I carry them, they are a pain. The shoulder straps - like a backpack - are great if you only have to carry one... but carrying two is a pain because of their size - folded it's still like 24" tall by 12-15" wide - feels like you're carrying a medieval shield on your back and/or shoulder.Overall a great and comfortable seat, once you get it there; easy to setup and take down; very light weight, just a bit large to have to carry.
A good find for my injured back.
July 7, 2014
I bought this seat because I sustained a back injury which makes it very painful to sit without proper back support. There are a handful of places where I go that they use the standard metal folding chairs which are absolutely brutal on my back, the most routine place being church. I often end up sitting in the metal folding chairs and so I got this to provide some protection for my back from the metal back on those chairs. This has made a huge improvement in my ability to sit through an hour long service. It's pretty comfortable and very simple to use. I like having the arm rests most of the time but I can open it with the arm rests down as a wider seat. A simple but intelligently implemented option. Overall, good experience.I would like it better if it had some sort of lumbar support. It does protect my back but it would be even better for my back if it weren't just a flat back. I would also prefer if it folded down to a square because it's still big enough when it's folded flat that I feel a little conspicuous packing it around the hallways at church. Those suggestions would give it a solid 5 stars but it has been a real benefit for my back in places where I was suffering before.
Finally don't have to lug comfy chairs around
October 30, 2013
I'm very pleased with these portable seats. Almost every weekend, my husband and I sit in the bleachers watching our son play baseball. Usually, we drag around chairs that don't fold like captain's chairs because we need a lot more back support than they provide. When I saw another family with these chairs, I asked if I could sit down in one and was incredibly shocked at how comfortable they were. I immediately purchased a set of my own and love that they have 5 different settings for the back rest, and that the covers come off for easy washing. Here's what I didn't like: I wanted red or black, but would have paid $20 MORE PER CHAIR to get one of those colors. At least with the lime green, everyone will know they're mine. Now they all cost $55, so I feel like I got in at the right time for my bargain pricing.I also wish there was a little more padding in the seat, and I'm concerned they won't hold up because of the lack of cushioning.Otherwise, they lie flat so it's very easy to pack them in the car. They also have shoulder straps that allow you to carry them like a back pack, which is another nice feature the chairs we used to use didn't offer.Great purchase.

Too heavy for one little grandma
July 16, 2016
I reviewed the case for this as well, loved the quality and size but HEY, way too heavy for me as an older Grandma to carry around from my car to the gym. I gave the whole thing to my friend's daughter who LOVES it but she is young and able. Otherwise, a great item.
End Caps easily fall out.
April 24, 2016
I ordered two chairs. chairs look nice. They are comfortable to sit on. I've had them for a little over a month. I used them 4 times at the stadium. Three of the black plastic square end caps have fallen off and are now lost.
Good product, poor quality control.
December 2, 2015
Purchased for my wife and it was comfortable to her. She is 5ft and 100 lbs. She doesnt have much weight bearing down on the seat, so the crossbar was no issue for her. However, it did not have the backrest material with it. So, i said the heck with them and sent it back for a return. i did not feel like going through the hassle of trying to get the backrest. If you want a product to be successful, you might want to put some time in to packaging it correctly.
Great chair but lost backrest on first weekend of use
March 16, 2015
Great chair but lost backrest on first weekend of use. Was not secured tightly and slipped off when carrying. Looking for a replacement backrest.
The chair itself is of excellent quality. However
January 17, 2015
The chair itself is of excellent quality. However, I had to return it and this is why:
This seat had an anchoring bar that needs to slide under the bleacher seat. However, all of the bleachers at my sons's events have wood or plastic base perpendicular to the next seat (like steps) so the anchor bar could not slide under the seat.

Comfy seat. But must be strong and a giant to carry properly.
June 27, 2017
This is a quality seat but it's super huge to carry. It comes with a back pack part to carry the chair, folds well and material is great. But, if you are not taller than 5'5 then it will be a bit cumbersome to carry.
Not what it's cracked up to be...buy a cheaper one.
April 18, 2017
You'd be better off buying a cheaper stadium seat. This one is pricey and there's nothing to hook it to the bleacher so every time I stood up to cheer for my child's team the chair falls over. Also in its back pack form it's very big and bulks. I was hoping for much more and it feel way short.
Too Big
January 9, 2017
This chair is huge- it doesn't fold up for storage or travel you carry it fully opened with backpack straps. The chair itself works as expected and that is a plus but I bought this for my parents for my son's basketball games and it is too big for them to transport to games.
Serves it purpose
October 3, 2016
I loved this chair the first time I used it...I spend a lot of time at ball practice and games both indoor and outdoor so I was looking forward to this chair. Two complaints that I have with this chair are 1. since it is to be carried like a backpack it has two shoulder straps to use to carry it. The second time we used this chair, we were walking to the field and one shoulder strap just broke. This chair stays in my trunk and isn't played with so the straps must just be sewn with very low quality. We are currently using only the one working strap and I am keeping an eye on it to make sure it doesnt break. 2. I have noticed that sometimes when I sit on it and I recline back a little it feels like the bottom of the chair is just going to fall out of the bottom. I have checked in numerous times just because it makes me a little nervous but all seems fine but it still worries me that the chair is a little low quality in the seat as well. I am only 130 pounds and am the only one who uses this chair. Maybe I got a dud?Overall this chair has kept me more comfortable than sitting on the bleachers and keeps me nice and warm on these cold football nights that we have been having. It blocks the wind on my back too which I like. Im plan to keep using this chair but if I purchase another I may look at another brand based on the two things I have experienced with this one.
Soft and comfortable but just too big to carry around.
May 12, 2016
It was soft and comfortable but we decided it was just too big to carry around in a crowded stadium even with it flattened. I returned it right away and so didn't test to see if it would fit in the bucket stadium seats. I felt kinda bad about it because they gave the dimensions very clearly in the product description. No hassle return and refund.
Armrests DON'T go down!
March 26, 2015
The problem I've had with this chair is that the arms will not fold down. The manufacturer claims that one can fold it into an upright position without armrests, but if that is true, the only way I can see it happening is if two strong men work together to hold the armrests down while a third man pushes the back of the seat up and breaks the armrests. The armrests automatically come up with the seat back, and there seems to be no way around that. If you are a large person, you will find it a tight fit. It's as narrow as an airline seat.

September 30, 2015
Disappointed in one of the two chairs. It was missing two square caps on the back support which make the canvas back rest easier to put on. BTW, the other chair had the back rest on it. Got a feeling I got a returned chair that wasn't checked out before shipping. Sucks!!!

April 25, 2017
I bought this chair and loved it at first and after using it only a few times the back (backpack style) carriers broke and would not stay together and now it doesn't hold the position - it just goes back when you lean on it. It is also very big to carry back and forth from the car to your seat.

Pictures don't tell you that arms Must be in recline mode for this chair to work. If you are 6'2 in and have a regular frame , more then likely you can't fit into it. Seems like this chair was made more for women inmind then men. JMHO. Doesn't have any latch on it so you can hook to a stadium bench either. Not good enough to be called a stadium chair they should call this a beach chair for the female user.

I was disappointed in this purchase. The chair itself was comfortable, but they were big and bulky and not easy to transport. Its' hard to get them to fold flat and then get the right position. August 29, 2017
Our friends have Picnic Time seats. My husband thought reclining seat with arms would be great! I read the product description. It says seat is 20" wide. Wish I had read the questions!!! The seat is only 15" wide with arms up! My husband is not an overly large man. He does NOT fit! The seat is not that comfortable to make up for the tightness of the seat. No problem, I will return...but wait, they want me to pay $11 return shipping!!?? Disappointed in the seat and very disappointed with the return fee.

We have been using 2 of these in our travel trailer since 2015. They worked fairly well at first (3 stars worth) but the foam broke down and the internal frame is but 11 1/2 inches wide so they became extremely uncomfortable and we are not large people.

EXPENSIVE AND INFERIOR
October 20, 2016
BOUGHT 3 OF THESE CHAIRS ON AUGUST 15 AND AND USED THEM ONLY A COUPLE OF TIMES. ALL THREE ARE NOW UNUSABLE. ON TWO OF THEM THE BACK WILL NO LONG STAY UPRIGHT IN A SEATED POSITION MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO USE AND ON THE THIRD ONE THE ARMRESTS WILL NOT STAY UP AND I ASSUME THAT THE BACK WILL BE GOING SHORTLY. VERY DISAPPOINTED THAT THIS PRODUCT LASTED SUCH A SHORT TIME AFTER BEING USED A COUPLE OF TIMES. VERY EXPENSIVE FOR SUCH A INFERIOR PRODUCT. EVEN THOUGH ONLY USED A COUPLE OF TIMES OF COURSE I AM PAST THE DATE OF RETURN. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! THESE WERE USED BY AVERAGE SIZE ADULTS AND NOT USED ROUGHLY.
I would like ot get a replacement

I purchased this for my boyfriend for C-mas, knowing he would not use it until high school football started back up in Sept. 2016. We went to the game this past Friday night, and wouldn't you know it. The chair does not lock into place on any of the settings. My sister sat behind him and held the back up with her leg. I would like ot get a replacement, but the return policy ran out in Jan. 2016. Good grief!!!
Not durable enough
October 23, 2014
Love the chair as it is low to the ground and is much better on my back then a traditional camp ground type chair but this is the second one that has broken in less than 6 months with maybe 20 only uses. Until they can make a more durable product or better return policy, look elsewhere.
