The most amazing chair ever. A friend brought these to Red Rocks and changed my concert experience forever. I purchased a pair as soon as I got home. Everyone who tries them, loves them. Perfect for concerts, picnics in the park, fishing, sitting in the back of a pick-up, etc. HIGHLY recommend. Good quality, pockets to hold extra stuff, velcro on the bottom to attach to a bleacher seat.

Worth the money. I have an ample rear and this fit fine. Very comfortable. I was thankful for the reviews that told me to screw down the back support so I didn't lose it. It is a little heavier than I thought to carry, but not too bad. I appreciate the metal hook underneath the chair to secure it to the bleachers so you don't go falling backwards. Very sturdy chair. I did get another one as a gift for my dad and personalized it. Although I'm not sure I recommend it because it's an iron-on transfer and a hot iron on that nylon type material stinks. I did put down a towel so I wouldn't melt the material so no problems there , but it really smelled bad.

This a great stadium seat. In the past I have only used stadium cushions that become not so cushiony after just a short time. This seatIs comfortble for hours. I have the wide version am 6 ft 200 lbs and it fits me perfectly. I have used it on the concrete type bleachers where there is no place for the hook to attach. I lean back with no problems, or fear of tipping over.I carry it by the metal bar after folding it closed. Not too heavy , no need for a carrying bag.Fold it and go instead of struggling to stuff it in a bag when you could be beating the crowd out of the stadium.Recommend highly.The red and black is perfect for Falcons patch I had sewn onto the back.

With a season of freshman football games looming, the thought of rigged metal bleachers gave me a backache just thinking of them. With little time before the first game I pulled up the offerings on Amazon's website. I scanned a few and checked the reviews. One caught my eye "after exhausting research I chose this one and am not disappointed..." It read. Oh what the heck I thought and clicked Buy. Two days later (the morning if the first game) it was waiting at my PO. Truthfully the solid metal frame of the wide seat felt a bit heavy but felt sturdy and worth the effort to carry to the field. And once I twisted the latch to keep it from sliding off the bench and settled into it, then tipped back comfortably into it I breathed a sigh of relief and was exuberant with my choice. I sat through the game happily, jumping up as needed to cheer on the team and the seat stayed safely in place awaiting my return. I even saw 2 others carrying the regular width model. I found this seat most comfortable and could easily have stayed longer. I'm so pleased with this purchase and will keep it ready to go every time. And btw no after game backache. Thanks!

I was actually able to sit through an entire football game with no pain. Have tried other stadium seats and I couldn't even make it to halftime because my back was killing me. I totally agree with all the good reviews of this product and have just purchased a 2nd one for my wife to use. I only bought one at first to see how well it would work. This is extremely well made and very sturdy. Some people may say it's too heavy but I don't think so. Besides, I'm not going to be carrying it around all day!Some reviewers state that the bar across the back hits them on the tailbone. I am not sure how that is happening to them...works great for me.The seat comes with 2 screws that screw through the back rest into the frame. This is so the material doesn't slip off the frame. I didn't install them and have not had any problems.Just get it - and if you don't like it you can send it back. Amazon is awesome with returns.

By the 4th hour of a swim meet when the bleachers have carved indentations into your soul, ones eyes will tend drift hungerly to the well seated bottoms of the better prepared and they will have this chair. At the 5th hour when you promise yourself "never again!" and you try to console yourself with cheap Walmart promises or drift toward the beguiling Dick's (Sporting Goods you cad!) beckoning with sensational deals, Resist! It is here you will find true hope for your burning buns. With this chair, when comes the 6th hour you will not stand and do the waffle butt waddle. Neither will you volunteer to officiate inspired by impure motives of desiring the slightly padded 20 year old metal folding chair. Forget the right branded gear, forget the sharpie, forget the heat sheet but do not forget to bring this chair!

I ordered the wide model for my husband and the regular model for myself, both chairs were awesome, but after sitting in the wide model I realized it is much more comfortable than the regular chair. Because it is wider, the fabric on the back stretches a little more allowing you to slightly recline, which when comparing the two made a huge difference. I am a size 8 and although I fit in the regular chair, it did not leave much room. I returned my regular chair and ordered a wide model for myself. I would suggest this chair for anyone looking for a stadium chair. Great quality, durable, and easy to transport.

Good, but I think will be uncomfortable after long periods of sitting in spiritual circles, drumming circles, etc. due to short back. I will keep it, but wound up ordering another chair with a taller back.

We used these seats during soccer games and were very happy with them. Lightweight, comfortable and seem to be holding up well after one season.

This chair has come in very handy making my time spent watching grandchildren playing sports much more comfortable. We do use extra cushions to add to the comfort factor. We have One problem, if you do not permanently attach the back to the frame you have a very good likelihood of losing it. We did just that. We purchased our chairs one years ago. Luckily I was able to order a new back from oaksbatterup.com for $20.00 with free shipping. Amazon does not seem to carry them and the manufacturer can only sell directly to businesses.

I have two kids that both play year-round basketball. These seats are a life saver! Bleachers are unforgiving on your backside, especially when you sit through 2-3 games in a row. I would not bother with the regular size seats. Do yourself a favor and pay the extra for the deluxe model. It's great for saving your seat when you make a trip to the concession stand or restroom, and provides much needed back support. Quality is great as its good and sturdy. It doesn't try to tip over or fall backward.My only complaint with this product is the back canvas material. If you carry it by its handle, the canvas has a bad habit of sliding down - and sometimes off. It seems as thought Markwort could have put a few extra stitches in it or something to prevent this from happening. It still saves my bottom from going numb, so I guess I can deal with it.I liked these so much, I bought them as Christmas gifts for my parents and my in laws so they can watch their grandchildren play in a little more comfort. The in laws are very heavy-set and they are pleased with these seats as well.I would recommend this product to any sports family!

After suffering from a sore lower back the prior weekend while seating in wood bleachers at my son's wrestling tournament, I decided to spend the money and buy me this stadium seat and I am very pleased with making this purchase. I used this stadium seat at my son's wrestling tournament after having received it and after sitting in a school gymnasium for about 8+ hours, I am pleased to say that I have no lower back pain. In addition, I allowed a few friends and family to sit in it for a while and they were very reluctant to wanting to get off of my chair because they to were also very pleased with the comfort of this stadium seat. Good purchase and money well spent if you are stuck having to seat on wood, plastic or aluminum bleachers seats like I have at my son's wrestling tournaments.

This is a great stadium seat. The width makes this one more comfortable than the seats that are narrower if one uses a cushion to set on. The back of the seat has a bar that runs along the lower edge that cuts into your backside if you don't use a cushion or pad of some sort to raise you up just slightly. Doing so makes this seat one that makes setting in the bleachers a breeze for long sporting events. Don't forget to put the two screws in or the back will come off. I have no idea (besides cost) why the manufacturer doesn't put them in before they ship the seats.

I intentionally purchased the wider model to allow for some additional space on the bleachers but I have noticed it doesn't seem to have the same resistance in the back and the seat as the narrower model had for support. I can feel the bar in addition to seeming to have more weight on the bleacher itself rather than being supported above it. I have tightened the strap underneath without making a significant difference. I think that if I were to purchase it again, I would choose the narrower model since it seems to provide more support.

Yes...somewhat heavy to carry, but let's face it..it's not like I'm marching uphill with an 80 lb. pack on my back. Might be too difficult for some to carry, but I think reasonably healthy adult should not have a problem. The chairs came with packs of small screws and no directions. Then the fabric from the chair's back fell off one night as I was carrying and fortunately I saw it and picked it up. The very next time we went to use it (only the third time) it fell off again, but my husband did not realize it until we got to our seats. We backtracked to look for it, checked with lost and found...nothing. I called the company and without issue they send me a new fabric back and explained that the screws could be used to keep the fabric in place. We really did not need seats this large, but after years of football games, and marching competitions we decided to treat ourselves to the deluxe models. Comfortable, secure and awfully nice to be able to lean back!

The seat is as cushioned as expected, and the back adjusts quite well, but the seat extends too far to the front to fit the patio chair I'm using it on. I'll reserve my final opinion until I actually use it in a stadium.

Works as advertised, but a bit light on the padding. Better than nothing, certainly. Good for bleachers, yes. Okay, but not ideal, for use on my boat. Keeping, but supplementing with higher quality cushions.

I was able to take my seat off the canoe, and unscrew the support under the seat in order to wrap the Velcro around and under the canoe bench seat. I am keeping the seat. Good deal for $20.

Comfortable for the first hour, tolerable for the second, uncomfortable seat by the third, feels like you are sitting directly on the bars of the chair by the 4th the hour. Halfway through the swim meet, I'm ready for a better padded chair, and I'm not a heavy person...

This seat is OK. But it is very heavy. I am always afraid it might accidentally hit and hurt somebody when I'm carrying it in a crowded stadium. The heaviness is the reason for only 3 stars. At this price, they should have been able to utilize lighter weight materials.

The chair itself is nice and wide, the back part of the seat was hard to get on and a small rip in the fabric occurred while pulling onto frame, and if you carry the chair by the carrying handle, the back slips off and you have to keep putting the fabric back on--ripping more each time, so bad design. The seat, it needs to be higher off the frame, when I sit in it, I can feel the frame of the chair. Its still more comfortable than the bleacher, but a few design tweaks could make this a really great product.

I have serious back problems, so I need a raised seat with back support that keeps the chill of the bleachers away, I can lean back.I actually have to have a family member, or friend carry this out to the field for me due to the weight.***However it is solidly built!! I mean seriously heavy duty, and is awesome once it's out to the bleachers! Just fantastic!!***I also use it when I pop the backdoor on our SUV for family activities / football fundraisers. I set it up in the back, and have myself a comfy seat! It is often hijacked when I am not looking, and I have to kick somebody out of it! Lol!***I have also used I at the beach, and camping.We bought ours in black, and a year later it is in like new condition even though it is not well taken care of, and often thrown around, dropped, tossed, kicked ect. (4 kids 3boys, 4 dogs, and we're very active)***I am sure as long as the fabric is not cut somehow by that kid "Not Me" who I can never find to punish, I honestly think it would survive if we accidentally ran it over! Lol!***I only recommend IF you are able to carry it to wear you need it to be, or have someone to carry it for you. It makes the other ones look cheap, and temporary.***This thing is like the boss of all stadium chairs - of course it could really use a cup holder - because I am American, and we are obsessed with cup holders! Lol!I took two stars because as heavy as this seat is the manufacturers realm should address this with backpack straps, or something. Would be nice if it folded down a little more for carrying, especially in crowds... It is a stadium chair. ;)

The good news is it's very comfy and supportive. The bad news is it's way too wide to fit in a reserved bleacher seat at a college football game. This would work best for a venue where it doesn't matter if you spread out like at a high school game or swim meet, etc. It does not work for a sold out college football game. It takes up 1 1/2 spaces of a normal reserved seat, I'm afraid. Also, they are heavy as heck unless you don't have too far a distance to schlep them. Once again, this review is for the wide version of this seat. Not sure if the regular version will fit in a reserved college seat space or not but going to try something lighter.

I got these so my mom and step father could sit at my kids' football games. They are sturdy but too heavy. I would not buy again. I would look for a lighter weight chair...and I'm still trying to figure out where the 2 screws go!

This is not very comfortable. The padding compresses right away, not just after lots of sitting. There is a metal bar right in your back. It also does not fold for storage. It lays flat, but is then longer, which might or might not be better, depending on where you want to store it.

Just ok. Seat is a little too thin, and bottom straps are small and do not fit larger bench seats.

My daughter and I are both disappointed. You can feel the rail into your legs and back all the way around it and the bottom cusion feels completely compressed from the start. We are using other ones.

I liked the width. I am 5'7 250lbs (solid muscle:) and this chair fit my frame. However, the seat was ripped and when you sit on it you could feel the bar under your butt. Wanted it to work, but it did not. I returned for a refund and purchased the Thermarest trail cushion. The trail cushion does not have back support, but it is great as a stand alone cushion.

I had high hopes for this wide Markwort stadium seat based on all the positive reviews. Unfortunately, in this case I was greatly disappointed. It is wide, and the metal framework appears to be sturdy. However, this stadium seat is very uncomfortable. It says it can hold up to 400 lbs and perhaps it can, but not while offering any comfort to the user. I am a plus size woman weighing in at 226 lbs and the seat offers no support, in fact it bottoms out, has very little cushioning and the metal bars both in the back and in the front cause discomfort in under 5 minutes. I would not recommend this chair even to an average sized person. I also purchased a Cascade Mountain Tech stadium seat for my daughter and found it to be a far superior product. Although the CMT chair is not as wide, it still offers a level of comfort far surpassing the Markwort seat. The CMT seat offers a better design, no bar to irritate your tail bone, and more cushioning and comfort. The Markwort seat unfortunately only offers more width at the expense of comfort and design. I am returning the Markwort deluxe wide stadium seat and purchasing another CMT stadium seat.

These chairs do not come fully assembled. This would have been nice to know before we got to the event. When they arrived I removed them from the box but did not take them out of the plastic until we got to the game. Removed the plastic and the chairs had no backing. It comes rolled up and stuck inside the bottom piece. It's not really that easy to get it put on. A screwdriver is also required. They are made in China and I can't figure out why they would ship them this way. These are not cheap and to have to assemble is disappointing.

poorly designed crossbar. 10 minutes is all I can tolerate in this chair. The crossbar, to which the hook that secures the seat to the stadium bench is attached, is located too far to the rear. You definitely feel it under you as soon as you sit down. Had the chair been designed to use a cushion instead of a stretched piece of fabric for the seat bottom, this could have been mitigated. But noooooooo.I purchased it because it looked to be solidly made (it is), because it had a solid hook rather than strap configuration to attach to the stadium bench and because it's larger than most with a tall backrest (suitable for a 6 footer). Unfortunately the location of the crossbar makes this chair a non-starter.

The fact that this unit is billed as a "Wide" model made me think it was designed for a larger person. I am 5'11" and 260lbs. The first time i used this item the chair back broke and i almost fell over backwards. The seat portion is comfortable as long as you don't sit too far back as to have the lower cross bar dig into your rear end. Sitting a little more forward causes you to lean back more which in turn puts more pressure on the joints of the chairback. Unfortunately, these joints aren't designed for much pressure and can obviously give way. These seats may be good for a smaller person, but then, why would a smaller person need a "Wide" model.

The chair itself is great - but be very warned, it's too wide for stadiums. We were turned away from a stadium entrance with this chair the first time we brought it.I started looking up restrictions at college and professional stadiums and this chair exceeds most maximum widths by 2" or more.Unfortunate as it's very comfortable. If you are taking it to your high school's events - it's fantastic, but if you're taking it to a stadium that his restrictions, it's a no go.

Zipper broke in pieces as I was removing it from the wrapping on day one.

We've had this chair for a few years and I never understood why my kids fought NOT to use it. Tonite I used it and understood. The back rest works as promised and is great if you have back issues. The bottom, however, is under-cushioned which leaves you basically directly on the bleacher. It's barely better than having nothing ... yes you are protected from dirty or wet or cold bleachers but you are not comfortable.

Not comfortable. It doesn't hook onto the seat so it rocks. I think the ones with the secure backs/arms are better. I would not purchase again.

Do not recommend, poor product that broke within 2-weeks. Called company and explained what I needed and they said they do not have that part.

I purchased this seat mid summer before football season started. Use it 3 maybe 4 games. While walking to my car the fabric back to the seat slid off and is nowhere to be found. This is disappointing. There are holes in the metal bars where the fabric slips on but there were no screws on it to keep it in place. I'm not a happy "FAN" of this product. I now have a seat with no back....what am I supposed to do with that?

Loved this chair at first but the back kept falling off and here I am 6 months later with no back to my $50 chair! Not well made at all. To make matters worse I bought one for my dad and the EXACT same thing happened to him and now he is without a chair back as well. Do not buy this brand. Look for a more durable brand.

Very disappointed in this chair. It is heavy and cumbersome to carry up old fashioned bleachers. It is uncomfortable because I mostly sit on the bar, in order to use the back rest. I will say the ability to lean back was nice, but that is about it. I also really resent having to spend 11.00 to ship it back, although I'm sure that was my fault for not reading the fine print.

We purchased original Markwort chair and it is fantastic. I ordered the deluxe model to have a slightly wider seat area and thought the chair would be the same as the original but it is not. I was eager to use the deluxe model when it arrived. Compared to the original model it is approximately 3" wider and only slightly heavier. I used it on a metal bleacher and it provided absolutely no cushion. The bottom material was touching the bleacher while I was sitting on it. (I weigh around 165lbs). When I got home I flipped the chair over and noticed the two bungies that hold the bottom material together we loose. Also, the canvas around one of the grommets was beginning to tear. Amazon was fantastic and sent a replacement chair immediately. The second one arrived and it was structurally intact with no flaws. However, like the first one both bungies were extremely loose. When I sat on it the bottom canvas once again bottomed out providing absolutely no support. Based on the two chairs I received I would not recommend wasting your money on the deluxe model. Save it and either sit on the bleacher or buy the original Markwort chair that is fantastic.Update: Amazon was great and sent out a replacement chair immediately. Received that chair and the seat compressed to the ground. I contacted Markwort directly and after sending them pictures. When I asked if the chair could be fixed I was instructed to send it back to Amazon. Two chairs. Same issue with each.

It came incomplete! no back rest to it. Had to send it back. Did not repurchace. Big Bummer. Two thumbs down!
