Stable, lightweight and easy to use.

Recommend this chair. Please read the assembly instructions carefully as the parts are not marked as well as I'd have liked. That said it goes together and makes a solid chair.
Excellent shower chair.

Purchased this to bathe my handicapped daughter.....fits well in tub so that I don't have to remove it when everyone else showers and she loves it. It is sturdy and she is not afraid to sit in it.

I have a grandson with MD and has no use of his legs, this chair has made it so much easier to bathe him. He loves the shower and having him in the chair makes it easier for me to get him out of the tub. He says he likes this chair more than the one he has at home because it has "handles" for him to hold onto and he doesnt feel like hes going to fall off of it.
This was very easy to put together

This was very easy to put together, and its very sturdy. The mother in law used it with no complaints.

Nice Chair! I really needed this after my foot surgery. It's light and the perfect size for my small shower. It will get plenty of use in the next couple of months. It you want one for long term though, I would recommend going with one a little more sturdy and heavy duty. But, for a few months, this is a great chair & you will be happy with it. :)
Sturdy Chair
April 7, 2014
The chair comes packed compactly and is easy to assemble with large plastic screws and disassemble when no longer needed. The size was fine for my small shower, and would also fit well in a tub; the legs have strong suction cups on the bottom to keep the chair from sliding. The chair worked very well for me after a full hip replacement, as the hand holds are in the right places, and the seat, wide enough to accommodate anyone, has drain holes to keep water from pooling or damming up. This is an excellent chair for a very reasonable price. it would be prettier if it were not gunmetal gray! How about designer colors, or at least white???

Great shower head!
December 27, 2016
The shower head installed very easily; they even give you plumber's tape! I like the very flexible and long hose, and the light weight of the shower head. I like that there is an on/off control on the wand. Be careful of the on/off switch in the handle. I thought my water pressure was low but then realized I had turned the switch on the handle! Ha! The three settings are adequate for my needs. My main concern is the longevity of the product. We'll see how long this one lasts. So far though I really like this shower head!
Makes bathing babies and dogs a breeze!
June 16, 2014
Purchased this right after our newborn came home from the hospital and realizing how much of a hassle it is to give a baby bath with just a cup to use for rinsing. This makes bathing so much easier and more pleasant. It is also great for giving our dogs indoor baths as well, because using a cup for rinsing in that situation is also a pain. The product was easily assembled by my husband. At first he thought we got a broken one because when he turned the water on, it only trickled out of the head. He quickly discovered the adjustable flow feature at the base of the handle and was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to use and adjust. We left out the red water restrictor piece, so if we wanted, we could have it flowing full blast with great water pressure. I love how we can adjust the flow to a gentler, more baby friendly setting.Another great thing is the stainless steel hose. It's not cheap, flimsy plastic like a lot of the other hoses out there. Sometimes wish the showerhead part had a stainless steel finish, as the white color does make it look a little cheap, but it does not affect the quality. All in all, a great product at even greater pricing!*UPDATE - 11/15*Product is still working great, I even purchased one for my parents' house so bathing our toddler there would be easy. A+*UPDATE - 9/17*From all of the flow adjusting that happens between a child's shower/bath and an adult's shower, we have found that the handle starts to leak. Twice now the handle has started spraying water out with force, which would normally signal a broken item. My hubby has been able to fix the issue both times, but due to the nature of the flow adjust (twisting the bottom of the handle), you end up loosening the nut inside the handle that holds everything together. Even with this issue, which took awhile to manifest itself, I think it's a good showerhead. If you don't have tools to fix the problem, you may not feel the same.If you found this review helpful, please click YES or HELPFUL below!
Purchase for my mother
February 7, 2014
I purchased this for my elderly mother along with a bath bench so that she could sit while showering. She said it took a few times using it to get used to a handheld (which she'd never used before) from a permanent shower head. Now she prefers this handheld sprayer. I also purchased the inexpensive suction cup held holder for this so that she doesn't have to stand up in the bathtub/shower to lather her hair, etc. She merely hooks it onto the holder which we suction-cupped within reach of her bath bench. Works great!
Nice product

I bought a $75 Moen from HD that leaked and wouldn't stay in place. I returned it. I decided to try this cheapo thing. How bad could it be? Well it's pretty nice. Install is a piece of cake (leave out the water choke as one reviewer said). No leaks. Holds nicely and delivers a nice shower. All this plus a long hose to rinse out the neighboring Jaccuzzi. Only wish, it had a nice brushed nickel finish. This was a good deal!
works great
July 1, 2013
I've got to be honest. The only reason I purchased the AquaSense 3 shower spray with ultra long stainless steel hose is because of the less than $20, price and I only wanted so I could bathe the dogs. But I actually like it. The longer hose makes rinsing my hair so much easier than our current rain shower- shower head. The 'longer hose on this makes it from my shower pipe in the wall to the end of the bathtub with about a foot left over without stretching so it worked out well when I bathed the dog and he ran to the end of the tub. The shower head is lightweight which is a plus for me.There's only 3 settings on this. The first one just uses the center holes so the spray is forceful and concentrated. . I use it for rinsing out the bathtub. The other setting uses the center holes and the outer holes so the spray in the center is more forceful than the outer spray. My husband prefers that setting, and the last setting uses all the holes equally so it's just a normal spray great for showering.Installation is a piece of cake. The give you the plumbers tape to wrap around the pipe so it fits snugly and doesn't leak.. I didn't recognize it as plumbers tape at first, because it's packaged to look like a small spool of thread ) There are large pictures on the directions showing how to put the shower together, but you can easily figure it out just by looking at the unconnected parts. There is a water saver piece. It's red and it's got tiny holes in it so it's easy to identify. I just left it off so I'm not sure how much it would interfere in the water flow from the sprayer. Without it, the spray is normal shower head spray. If you turn your faucet up high, the water pressure in the shower head is more forceful. If you prefer less forceful water, turn your faucet down. You get the picture. There is a piece that you can attach that allows you to turn off the water at the sprayer. You don't need it if you don't want to screw it on. The shower works without it.. I put it on and when I turned the water off using that piece the water still came out of the shower head but not a lot. It didn't completely stop the water but it slowed it down a heck of a lot so it didn't spray all over. That feature came in handy when I had to stop spraying the dog and soap it up. Then when I was ready to rinse the dog, I just turned the little knob again. This product seems like it might last a long time. The shower head itself is lightweight, but it appears sturdy. The hose seems sturdy too and doesn't look like it's going to break any time soon.I think it's a great buy especially for the price.. I've only used it twice so far but if I have any problems or if it breaks, I'll update my review and let you know.
Just what I expected
January 21, 2013
When I first assembled and installed this, I balked at the amazingly poor water pressure my shower now had. Then I came on amazon and read some reviews. A few other folks had the same problem. Then I did a little research (I did the whole process backwards, right?). If you assemble the sprayer EXACTLY like it is in the main picture here, you will have no low water pressure issues. There's a silver connecting piece that goes from the hand unit to the hose; don't use it. This is the choke on the water pressure. Once I removed that from my assembly, the sprayer worked exactly how I'd hoped it would.HTH

Sturdy Product, Essential Post Surgery
September 18, 2017
Sturdy, compact, essential product post hamstring surgery. We needed a toilet within feet of bed post surgery, and this was a good choice overall.
Works for elderly mom over her current toilet.
September 8, 2017
Worked perfect over my moms toilet at her assisted living apartment. Not using the buckjet, just the splash guard. It is sturdy. Plastic seat is not super rigid. She weighs 105 ,, might not be good for someone over 200. Folds easily for storage.

This commode is actually very well built considering the cost. Even at 3/4 height it is not wobbly and feels secure. It also has a lid for the waste bucket which is nice. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.
Good Equipment

Safe grip
October 29, 2017
Purchased this to help me stand up in shower and beside toilet. Had foot surgery and will be non weight bearing for 12 weeks and didn’t want to permanently drill holes in the wall for a bar. This was easy to install Ns easy to test for secure hold, have been using it for 3 days now and it hasn’t moved or lost its suction on the wall of the bathroom or the wall of the shower highly recommend for temporary help in getting up
Great for pregnancy too!
July 13, 2017
I have just started my third trimester. As my stomach has grown I can definitely tell my sense of balance is off. Having a suction bath mat in the floor of my shower did not help much because the floor is slightly textured so the mat won't stay suctioned for long. After rinsing off suds, my walk in shower feels like I'm standing on banana peels soaked in oil lol. I bought two of these, one for the actual shower wall (like a re-bath material) and one across from it on the glass enclosure. They have a great grip! I still move slowly and take my time, but these really help make me feel safer as I turn around in the shower.

Very nice: Works with trapped air "suction" a little air will come out over time. I have found if you release the lock lever about every 10 days or so, then press the locking lever down again locking in a fresh batch of air the unit will work just great. The air issue is not a defect, it is something that happens to all locking devices. It works great on sliding glass doors. the kind that can pinch a finger. 5 Stars pric and value work out well, make are a good buy.
This is a great product, and really a good value
January 9, 2017
This is a great product, and really a good value. I saw a similar grip bar at a Marriott, and thought it would work great in our shower. No holes to drill in tile, or metal bars to rust. This attaches with 2 suction cups, and really locks on the tile.I put two in the shower in our master bath, on opposite walls, and feel safe when getting in and out of the shower. I will buy several more for other tubs in the house.Fully recommend this product and seller.
Great grip
October 2, 2016
My elderly mother lives with me and it's been getting harder for her to get in and out of the shower. I bought her a shower stool as well as this grip bar so she can take a shower safely. This grip bar is great. It very easily suctions on to the shower wall and once it's there it stays put until you move it. Very easy to use, just flip the tabs to get it to suction on or to release the suction. This has really made a difference for my mother and I wish I had bought this long ago. This would also be awesome for little kids for getting them in to, and out of a bath!
Gives great support as long as you have large tiles.
August 13, 2016
Used this after ankle surgery for my shower. My wife made sure I knew I wouldn't be drilling any holes in the wall for support, so this was my answer. Must have room for it to fit in the middle of a tile (can not span across grout, or it won't stick). It has a disclaimer sticker that says it's just for balancing and do not put your full weight on it. Well I've pulled myself up using it several times, no problem, and feels 100% stable. I'm almost 300 pounds, so I think that's a pretty good test of the performance.

Heavenly Helper!
October 27, 2017
I now have five of these in different sizes around my shower unit. Be aware that they aren't meant to hold your weight, but they are perfect for just keeping your balance and being able to maneuver to shower. Check them before each use to make sure they're tight. If you attach them properly to a clean wall, they generally last through several uses before needing to be removed and reattached, which is as easy as pie. Greatest invention ever for an area where you can't screw in grab bars.
Very Good Quality Product
May 13, 2017
All I can say about the negative reviews is that those folks either cannot or will not follow the prescribed mounting instructions, are trying to install it where it should not be installed, or are not using it as prescribed.Proper installation and use supports the fact the this product absolutely performs as it is supposed to and is reliable. It is well designed and manufactured. You just have to pay attention to what you are doing, folks !!
It's been a Great Help Post Surgery
April 14, 2017
This arrived promptly as expected. I have used this handle for almost 8 weeks with it attached to my Corian shower walls. I have had no issues with it slipping or popping off. I have re-positioned it just once in that time frame, but I don't think it was going to go anywhere if I hadn't. I used it to stabilize my entry and exit from the shower, over the tub side, after surgery that left me non-weight bearing on one foot. It has been so helpful and I do not doubt it's hold. That being said, I always give it a good tug before relying on it each time, and I do not support all, or even most of my weight with it. It is just a little helper with keeping me stabilized. I highly recommend this product.
Shower Safety Grips Do the Job!
April 26, 2016
I bought two of these to use while traveling. At my son's house, there are only two possible areas at each end of the shower to place these. It worked out great, and I felt completely confident in holding on to them as needed. I expect to use them at motels as well. You must have a slick surface to attach to. I suppose you could attach one to a tub edge if that would be helpful.Update: I am still happy with my original purchases, so I ordered one more for my tub at home. Although the color says white that I ordered, it is an ugly purplish pink color. Returning it.
Both the 11.5" and 17" (16.5") worked fine on my 4" bathroom tiles
February 23, 2015
I bought both the 11.5" and 17" (16.5") to assist my husband getting in the shower/tub after knee replacement surgery since I wasn't sure which would fit best. I have 4" tiles (very smooth ceramic) and ended up keeping both. I mounted the 11.5" at the entrance and the 17" at the far tub wall. The 11.5" handle did cross the grout line as seen in photo but I had no problem getting a secure grip. We tested both with full body weight and they didn't budge. We have been using them daily as recommended not expecting them to support full body weight and are pleased. We also make sure to test them before we enter the tub. After my husband recovers I plan to let my mother try these since she sometimes needs help with stability. I did notice that each bar was a different shade of white but that wasn't a problem for me. If I needed a lot of support I would install permanent shower grab bars but these worked great for my current need.
Safe-er Grip Bath and Shower Handle
January 14, 2012
This is a large handle, look at picture. My tiles are 4 1/4 inch. The package tells you that tiles must be at least 4" and mine barely made it. I cleaned the tiles with glass cleaner and a microfiber towel. Make sure the tiles are absolutely dry. That being said, that is exactly what I did and low and behold - it works. I have a very large and wide garden tub, at least 20 years old. And as happy as I am to have the extra room on the sides, I now fear a slip would do me in and I can't stand to think that someone would find me looking like a beached whale. I've placed the handle vertically between the tub and the towel rack. I just want something to hold onto getting out of tub/shower. If it comes loose or I fall I still have the towel rack which would support me.This is a wonderful idea and I have high hopes. I don't want to ruin the tile by trying to drill into it to place a more substantial handle there so this is the more attractive answer in every way. Simply place the handle and close the blue latch until it clicks solidly and flat into place and the suction rounds on each end hold making sure that the rounds are not lapping over the grout. Stay in the lines. Now test it until you are happy that is won't move. Pull down on it, really test it until it holds. What a great idea. What a great "Helper Handle."

Too big for a modern apartment tub. A bit fragile.
Great chair but the plastic cracked on the seat a couple of months shy of a year
January 17, 2017
I bought this chair because I broke my leg and I could not put any weight on it while showering. This chair fit in my tub shower width wise with no problem. The rubber at the bottom of the legs did leave a few marks but nothing that couldn't be scrubbed off. It is a good chair and I liked having it in the shower so much that I kept it in the shower after my leg had healed. The bottom seat however has cracked in the front left on the seam and the chair is now holding water. Due to the crack I feel the sharp edge on the back of my leg and unfortunately I am going to have to get another one.

The chair serves its purpose, but is very flimsy. The legs are not at stable as I thought it would be, but again, it serves it purpose I will buy another chair, just for my own comfort.
This is a really good bath bench
April 11, 2016
This is a really good bath bench. It is a bit wobbly but will not fall over. When I am not using it for a shower I use it as a vanity chair. It really helps me get ready for the day. I have a cast on one foot and sitting down is so much better than trying to balance on the other foot. It is very lightweight and can be moved easily. It assembles easily, too.
Sturdy, easy to assemble, might be too big
March 15, 2013
It took perhaps 15 min to assemble and easily supports by adult 6'+ son. It fits well in our (small) shower stall, but I don't know if it would fit in the bathtub. Plenty of seat room, but note that it lacks arms to push up from. If you're considering a chair with arms, yes, they're good for getting up out of the chair, but they can also get in the way of washing.

Great buy.
September 18, 2017
Easy to install just like others have stated and I love how long of a reach it has. I wish it did come with an additional holder that could be attached to the wall at a lower level being that I'm short and it's a chore with my back putting it up in place and taking it down to use as a handheld. Only reason I'm giving it 4 stars, I did leave the red piece out like others noted to improve the water flow. Still to I wish the flow was just a little stronger but can change the settings and I like that. I do miss the stronger flow from my other shower head but love ease of using this as a hand held.
Pretty good for the price.
June 17, 2017
Product is as described. Easy to install (provided your existing setup isn't to blame). The extra long hose is nice, we use it with our baby's bathtub, reaches far enough to make bathtime easy without too much excess. The middle setting isn't too harsh for baby and he seems to enjoy it. Would prefer if the pipe portion was metal, not sure how long the plastic will hold up.
Your mom will like it.
July 9, 2015
I got this for my mother, who likes to sit in the tub and wash her hair before filling the tub with bathwater. This handheld shower has a nice, long slinky hose. Plenty long enough to hook to the soap dish with the portable grip. The hose is stainless steel and quite flexible, being made with links instead of the stiffer mesh I've seen on some other hoses. There is an on/off switch to stop the flow of water while attending to tasks like scrubbing hair. The picture at the top is apparently of an older model that used a button. The customer supplied image is accurate: it is a twist nozzle now. If there are any weak spots in the assembly, that on/off switch will be your leak test. The water has nowhere to go but back out whatever spot is not adequately covered. And on that note, I highly recommend you to use your own plumber's tape instead of the straggly bit they give you in the package. Also, even though this unit is supposed to be tool-free installation, I recommend using a wrench to tighten the connections. If you want higher water pressure, I will chime in with everybody else to recommend leaving the red washer out of the assembly, because that red piece will slow the flow of water by quite a bit. The shower head itself is of a decent size and has the usual three massage settings: misty rain, hard rain and drill a pothole rain.
I CAN ENJOY A GOOD SHOWER.
March 1, 2015
This hand-held shower is adjustable three ways - focused pulsing stream, diffused but more penetrating streams along the outside of the shower head, and a softer, diffused rain-shower type of stream. The shower head can also be turned off (mostly) by rotating a shut-off valve at the bottom of the shower wand. I say mostly, because mine still allows some water to leak into the tub. This is a mixed blessing: I find the hot water accumulates and gravitates to the shower head, so when you turn the water back on you'll want to be sure to allow the water to run into the tub or shower stall for maybe 20-30 seconds to even out the water temperature again so you don't get scalded by hot water. I do very much appreciate the 80" hose, which allows me to sit at the farthest back position in my tub and still reach all my body parts, especially my back. I also look forward to using it to bathe my dog as soon as the weather warms a bit -- I'll be able to really reach her underside, which I couldn't really with the shorter hose my last shower wand sported. My water bill has dropped a bit, also, since using this shower wand because I installed the device that cuts water usage while still providing adequate water to bathe. The hose was very easy to put together and install -- without tools of any kind. It does not leak at the water pipe. I am very pleased, and were it not for what I consider a safety issue with scalding water would give it five stars. I'm not sure how the manufacturer could fix this problem -- it may just be a fact of hot and cold water mixing.
very good inexpensive replacement shower head
September 28, 2014
there are things i like, things that could be better. guess you can say that about anything you buy. well we love the fact this has the extra long hose that does not curl. often you will find inexpensive replacement 'telephone' showers, only to find out they have a VERY cheap plastic hose (colored to look like metal) or a plastic hose inside a cheap metal casing and as you may know with plastic tubing - it is kind of like a wire...after it has been curled into a circle and remained in that position for some time, it tends to remain in that position. that is true for anything manufactured and placed into a coil. but this shower hose appears to be real metal on the outside (probably a plated metal) over a rubber hose and the result is a hose that hangs perfectly down when the shower is in the cradle. many times with the 'cheap' showers the 'curl' i was talking about will cause the shower head to 'rotate' to face the wall or the shower curtain.things we love: long non curling hose, comes with the pipe tape for the threads so it won't leak (not yet anyhow), fits snugly in the cradle, assembles easily. water pressure is OK (don't put in the 'water saver' device) - but the disappointment in the pressure is probably our water pressure and not the shower head.things that could be better: only 2 options for shower. 1 is the traditional 'rain' you would expect. not sure what the other setting is supposed to be. maybe a 'water pik' massage setting? doesn't really work for us, but we are in an older home built in the 70's and the mains are probably on 1/2 inch and that results in a lower pressure. the other thing we did not like was the 'shut off' that comes with the shower. the box would indicate a 'lever' for an on off. what you get is a TWIST on/off for the water flow. benefits of the 'lever' kind? you can stop the flow with one hand. benefits of the twist kind? NOTHING. requires 2 hands to shut it off.overall, we are very pleased. only gets 4 stars because of the 'twist off/on' water stop on the shower head
Not that difficult but I wouldn't call it easy and definitely not tool free. but it does come with the teflon tape.
July 20, 2014
First off, the people who said you don't need tools are clearly stronger than meSecondly, anyone who said it is simple is more used to this stuff than me.BUT most importantly - it comes with a little spool of teflon tape so that is something you don't need to buy separately. On the other hand if you don't have a wrench - unless you are reallly strong and/or coordinated - you are going to need one.So it comes in pieces. If you are like me and think "simple" and "easy" means "just screw one part on" then know that it isn't quite that simple or easy. There are four main parts and three what I think are washers and one screen type of thing. I'm not sure which connections require the teflon tape, I'm going with just the one coming out of the wall. All in all though it's maybe a half hour job. Unless you need to go buy a wrench and hope the four dollar one at the drugstore is good enough. All in all, it's doable. Don't really expect it to last forever but for the price if I can get a couple of years out of it I'll consider it a deal.

I'd have given this product 5 stars, but it arrived without a seat. I phoned Drive Medical. I am preparing for recovery from a nasty surgery where I will not be able to get up and down so easy. all the toilets we have are already are the "comfort" height, which are about 2 inches taller than standard bowls. you still have some leg use to get up and down. this chair brings the seat up to about 22 inches at the highest setting. I am 5 1/2 ft tall and that works good for me. I took a lot of photos to help show more detail and how this fit in my spaces. my bathrooms are all code size (how close the toilet can be placed to walls etc.... ) so it gives you a good idea of how this will fit for you in a tighter space. now I need to say this fits me well but I am not a big person, I have 35 inch hips, I had lots of room side to side. the arms are 18 inches from one side to the other , they do not come off. I am going to try to find a larger person to see if they fit and post it up, so others can shop with more knowledge too. this was easy to assemble, the seat was the hardest part to "snap" in place, my hands give me trouble, if your not very strong in the hands, ask a friend or someone younger to help you. it comes with instructions that are easy enough to figure out, I did not need them. there are brass "buttons" that fit in openings to adjust the legs up and down.this fit both my elongated and round toilet. I did have to stuff the shield into the elongated seat to get it to line up but that was no problem at all. the elongated bowl sticks out front a tiny bit, its not in the way at all. I find it quiet stable, it will wiggle a bit if you really move around but it did not tip or slide. and trust me, I gave it a good wiggle to be sure ( I can not risk a fall after my surgery) I even did a few chair dips on the handles, they held my full weight up and down. (full weight dressed is 125# for reference) I am currently in good health for the first test.I will add to this after my surgery and I use it while in extreme pain and tell you how it went. go see my (way too many) photos and decide if this looks right for you.UPDATE: this was very handy, I found it to be sturdy to use easy to get on and off and easy to keep clean. I even used it in the shower to clean up when I could not stand yet, came in very handy. I would recommend this. I never used the bucket or the lid.

Great foot rest for shaving legs
July 3, 2017
Worked well for my purpose - a place to prop my foot while shaving my legs. I used this on a cruise because I heard the showers were small with no place to prop your foot. I tried it at home first and it took a couple attempts before I got a good lock and it would support my leg weight. Worked fine on the ship. I'm not sure I would use this as a primary support if I needed help getting in and out of the shower daily, but it could work if someone checked it frequently.
Firm Grip
March 26, 2017
After several tries I got the placement correct and it's firmly attached. The only issue is that it's just a tad too short to fit exactly within a 4 inch tile. It has been in place for several weeks now and feels as firmly placed as when I first installed it. I think it's important to wipe the tile with alcohol to remove any soap or scum, and the tiles need to be smooth, not textured.
Temporary
December 8, 2016
I recently had surgery and needed to be able to "grab" something to help me lift up or down. This has been a tremendous help. I have a solid shower material and the bar has been great. In the commode area my walls couldn't hold the suction grip I needed. I used the flat surface of the back of the door which worked for me. For my short term needs this was great as long as I don't rely 100% for lift and balance. If you are looking for someone elderly or needs to rely on the bars to steady I would go for professionally installed bars to be 100% safe. Tem
Strong, sturdy grip to flat surfaces; easy to use levers.
April 24, 2014
I already owned one of these (MHI brand) shower handles and needed a second one to install in another spot. As long as you're applying the suction cups to a flat surface, this baby will mount well. What makes the suction cups grip better (than other "locking" cups) is the built-in compression spring trapped between the topside of each cup and (hidden from view) underside of the each mouth at the ends of the handle. Rotating the levers downward compresses the springs, increasing the normal (orthogonal) load on each cup, pushing out the air underneath them, creating a better partial vacuum which in turn gives the cups better suction.
Glad I did not return it.....make sure to wet it first!
May 9, 2013
The handle fell a few times after placing it in different areas of the bathroom, even on smooth large tiles. I was ready to return it when I decided to read most of the reviews and noticed one where the reviewer made the suggestion of wetting it at the corners. I am so glad I did not return it! I wetted it lightly all around the edges of the cups and have had it up for over 2 weeks now and it is so firm that I feel very secured when I get in and out of the tub. I have it placed in the bathtub which is made of fiberglass and not exactly 100% smooth, it is barely noticeable but it has a slight corrugated design. You almost need a magnifier to notice it; I mention it only as reference.Update two months later. The handle fell and I had some problems keeping it in place. I was wetting only the outer part of the round portion. I wetted the entire inner part of the cups and so far the handle has been holding firm for the last 4 days.
Good in the correct context

I am an occupational therapist who does home health with geriatric patients. I am constantly searching for certain adaptive equipment to make my patients' bathrooms safer. As unfortunate as it is, many people are unwilling to give up aesthetics for safety! That means they won't install real grab bars into their tiled showers because it will mess up their tile. That's where this product comes in handy. I looked at several different brands before purchasing this one for my patients. I have since tried it on many different surfaces and it works with varying results depending on where you position it.I've tried it on walls - it sticks...for about 1/2 hour. Don't do it. You'll end up hurting yourself! Even if your wall isn't textured it will come off.If you're using it as a handle on the edge of your bathtub to get in/out, it'll work great! That sucker will not come off no matter how hard you tug on it. Plus, it's not high enough to catch your legs when you're trying to get your legs over the edge (thinking more of geriatric patients who have hip and knee range of motion problems). In the actual shower area, your results again are varied. Your best bet is a shower that has a smooth surface, like laminate or faux tile. However, I've had fairly good results with tiled showers too. Just make sure that at least one of the suction cups is exclusively over a tiled area and not a grout area. Sometimes the grout lines don't provide the surface area that the cup needs to get a tight suction. So the long and short of it is make sure you are putting this on a surface that can get a good seal. Let the grab bar sit un-used for about 4-5 hours. If it would fall off, it will on its own during this time. After that, if it's still on, you're probably good to go. But I'd tug on it a few times to make sure. The first time I bought it, I did a few test runs on surfaces in my own home. I decided that I'd hold onto the box and all packaging and not hesitate to return it if it didn't work out. So far I've placed 4 of them in patients' homes and that says a lot because I'm the one on the line if they don't work out.Update 3/13: Fast forward a few years...I was making this recommendation to a few patients back then but only with the advice that people use it for stability only. I am now withholding even that advice. I've had a lot more experience with them now and even the brands that I was "recommending" at the time are now off my list. They can not be fully trusted and it is better to be safe than sorry, to be cliche. I hate to go back on what I said but I've seen personally even a few weeks later of a good tight seal, coming off in a person's hands. This is not good. If you live in a rental and your manager won't let you install real bars, then you may not have any other option but I would tug and check these bars daily and especially before you intend to hold it. Even in these circumstances, there are tension bars and tub clamps that may give more stability than suction cup grabbars. That's my new take.

Guess these are good for all ages.

Well this is "Daddy's Helper" and now that I've developed nerve issues in my feet I need something to help me stand and am glad for these Grab bars so I can enter and leave my tub or shower stall safely. It stinks to get old but if I want to get older I want to be safe in my shower or tub. These are good and would've given five stars but have only been using them for a short time and will judge their quality over time.
very useful
February 21, 2017
We have a large tub in or home and it is hard for my daughter to get in and out of the tub due to its height and size. She slipped and fell one night trying to get in and I raced in the room after hearing her crying loudly. I hated to see her hurt and felt so bad. Bought this handle the same night and it has been great. Stays in place and helps her get in and out with ease. No more falls.
Handy and works reasonably well.
May 8, 2015
Got it to use after surgery. Now I've repositioned it horizontally to use as a drying bar for bathing suits (it's a tad short for that purpose, but does the trick.) My tub wall does not have tile, but it has a surface that curves in places, so it's a little bit difficult to position it for a sturdy hold. Occasionally it loosens up, and I have to reseat it. As others have mentioned, it's good to help steady yourself, but if you think you'll need to support your full body weight with it, you might want to look for a different product.
How I managed to keep the Safe-er-Grip more-or-less permanently attached to my shower tiles.
December 7, 2014
A shower handle which bolts into the wall is a much better, stronger and safer alternative. However, sometimes that is not possible, especially in a rented apartment which I have. So, I eventually purchased two Safe-er-Grip and (after many failures) have learned how to keep the darned things on the shower wall. I hope my experience may help others. I first, naively, simple pushed the handle on the shower tiles and locked the little levers down. The Safe-er-Grip was on the bottom of the tub the next morning.Since then I've tried numerous options and finally have been able to keep both handles tight on the wall for over two months now. It takes a little effort.First, the tiles much be cleaned, really cleaned. I use the stuff made for glass-top stoves which has some power but won't scratch. Scrub the tiles hard with a good, stiff brush, then rinse all the residue away with lots of water. Next the handles. After many failures, I found that Vaseline worked. You need to put a fairly heavy coat on each of the round disks (a thin coat won't work). I would say the coat of Vaseline is about 1/32 to 1/16" thick. Then push the handle tight against the tiles and lock down the levers. So far, they will usually stay in place for a week or two. The big secret is to take more Vaseline on your finger and run a bead of the stuff all around the perimeter of the disk. You have now increased the "stay life" for—I don't know how long. The sad news is that the Vaseline bead has to be renewed about once a week. Perhaps water washes it away, it dries up, I don't know. But I do know that a weekly application seems to keep it tight, going on two months now for me.Obviously the disks cannot span a grout line and I never rely on this handle for anything heavy. But it does help this 89 year old guy keep his balance and feel much more secure during a shower.Hope this helps. Guy
Holding firm
June 27, 2014
The Safe-er-Grip Bath and Shower Handle is doing great. It has been in place for a few months and has not moved. The suction is still holding and the size is perfect for steadying ones self when entering and exiting the shower-tub. I purchased the handle for my sister who has a very bad back and needed something to aid her in accessing the shower. She says the support the handle gives her is quite adequate for entering and exiting the shower and tub. She says she never puts her full weight on the device but feels comfortable in the fact that with the grip the suction cups have on the shower tiles she would be able to place quite a bit more weight on the handle than she does at present .The only con we can find with the product is that what came in a box mark as a 'white' handle is in fact a lavender colored handle. May have been a mix up at the factory or the manufacturer might want to install some color corrected lighting in their QC room.
Secure when Mounted on the Right Surface
June 16, 2014
These grips are well made and well designed. I've found they provide welcome security, but you may have to experiment to find the best spot to mount them. On my first try at mounting, the handles did not adhere securely. I solved the problem by moving the suction cups just a few inches one way or the other. A slight difference in the characteristics of the mounting surface, such as regularity, porosity or smoothness, makes all the difference. I eventually found appropriate locations for the handles where the surfaces were suitable, and I've been happy with the security they provide.

Bath Bench
May 14, 2017
I needed a chair quickly for a relative who was getting released from the hospital. It is a okay chair but would have been a lot nicer if the chair legs were more stable. Would not recommend for a person who is heavy or unsteady on their feet.
Bad Installation instructions
May 1, 2017
The assembly instructions are poor. The photo sequence does not show adding the back over until after the legs are installed. By then, you'd have to remove everything and do it over again. Correct sequence:1. Put the legs in place but don't insert the screws2. Lay the L-poles over the legs, matching the holes, insert screws.3. Insert the back cover over the L-polesIt's unstable if the back over is installed at the far position.
Serves it Purpose
April 28, 2017
It will fullfill its purpose & I think I will be happy in the long-run.Assembly was could have been easier. The first screw the instructions tell you install, I was not able to install untill last, tolerances are a little loose and a couple of the threaded holes are out of alignment. Once everything is tightenen down, the bench is stable and I feel confident / comfortable with using it.
Wish it was stronger.
April 12, 2017
It came with the seat scratched up. The legs are in thin plastic but it's all in the same box. I assume that's how it got scratched? When it's put together, it's a little wobbly even though the screws are tightened all the way. It's ok but wish I had bought a stronger chair.
Our caregiver liked the new one because it is only about 3
November 3, 2015
We had an older model and I ordered a new one for our condo. The new one is lighter and not as durable as the first one. Our caregiver liked the new one because it is only about 3.5 pounds and is easier for her to lift. It also fits in the tub in the forward position where as the older one did not. However, I would not recommend this new one for heavy people. The back is wobbly and the legs are wobbly. The older one was much more stable and feels more durable.
Hard to assemble, but reasonable chair
June 17, 2013
The shower chair was difficult to put together. I've never had so many problems with following instructions before. It comes with different depths of screws and the screws it requests you use for certain pieces just don't seem to fit. The legs were the trickiest, you've got to get them to cross just right and get the screws in. Otherwise it's an ok chair.I would say it's too large if you've got a tub. We have a rectangular shower only unit in our bathroom and this thing is clunky even for such a large space. It's difficult to maneuver around and lets face it, one position won't work for everything! If you want to wash your body it's got to be forward facing, then you have to reverse it to properly wash your hair. It's not impossible, but expect to get at least a little water on your bathroom floor while making the transition. If you've got a tub I do not think it would fit. I would be sure to measure it before purchase.

December 20, 2015
I purchased this item for my elderly mom. Looks like the shut off mechanism is defective because the water does not completely turn off. I tried adding plumbers tape but its not leaking from the base or knob. Water just continues to run slower from the sprayer. The water should completely turn off according to the item description. Would like the manufacturer to reach out to me. Maybe it needs a replacement part. What a shame. Would be great if it works as intended.
I would invest in something better.
January 5, 2015
I wanted to wait a month or two before reviewing this product so that I could see if it is durable. I'm giving it three stars. The pluses are that it is inexpensive (and not a total piece of garbage) and has a long hose. The negative is that it has started leaking water near the bottom of the handle. I guess for the price I understand that it's not the most durable showerhead in the world, but I thought I'd get more than a month's worth of use out of it before it started leaking. If you're looking for something temporary and cheap, this is for you. If you're planning on relying on it for many years to come, I would invest in something better.

Hey, I'll review anything. My beef with this thing is that the target zone is small, even with the seat raised. With the seat down, target acquisition becomes a form of marksmanship. Unless you own a supermodel's micro-butt, you'll need to raise both the seat cover and the seat itself to settle in semi-comfortably on the metal frame. Sitting on the frame isn't all that uncomfortable, and when you consider the alternatives .......

Good Product, But Hard To Know If It Will Work In Your House
August 26, 2017
This is a good quality product, and their advertising is honest about it's limitations, but it doesn't hold on our tile (so is useless to us), and until you get one to try it, you really won't know. It wasn't worth the hassle to return so we'll give it away.
Wrong color.
June 24, 2017
The product works well and shipment was prompt, but there is one big problem. The picture shows a grip that appears to be gray and white, yet what we received as a grip that is purple! Or lilac! This is not a color that works in our bathroom or anywhere else in our house. Why I have one in this color, and why the picture on the site does not show it as such, is beyond me!

Changing Lifestyles Safe-er-Grip 11.5" Balance Assist BarTHIS WORKS BUT NOT FOR MY TUB AND SHOWER, YOU NEED TO FIRST MAKE SURE IF YOU HAVE TILES ON YOUR SHOWER OR NOT A FLAT SURFACE TO CHECK IF THE SUCTION CUPS WILL LINE UP PERFECT IF NOT ITS NOT GOING TO STAY. ITS KINDA HARD TO DO THAT WITHOUT BUY IT FIRST. I REALLY WANTED IT FOR THE TUB FOR MY BABY TO HOLD ON TO. BUT ITS TOO BIG FOR THE TOP OF TUB AND UNLESS YOU HAVE A PERFECTLY SQUARE TUB IT WON'T WORK FOR THE SIDE EITHER. SEEMS WELL CONSTRUCTED AND WILL WORK IF YOU HAVE FLAT SURFACE BUT MOST PEOPLE I KNOW DON'T. IF MY REVIEW AND PICTURES WERE HELPFUL PLEASE LET ME KNOW THANKS!

Doesn't fit on the tile in my bathroom. The tiles are about 3 5/8" square. I don't know if this is odd or what. I'll probably use it as another reviewer showed, with just one suction cup mounted. I got it to rest my foot on in the shower and it should suffice for that. Would be nice if the product said what size tile it was intended for; I couldn't find any mention.Update: Do NOT try to use this thing if only one suction cup will grip. I put my foot up on it and it popped off the wall and I nearly broke my neck.
Walls can get damaged
September 12, 2015
Well it does stick to tile...and apparently to some walls. One side would not stick to the wall. The other side? It stuck and YES is can damage the wall. Left a suction circle and Took the paint right off...see photo. Use in tub area only...no where near grout lines
Not what I expected.
May 31, 2014
It's a great looking handle, well constructed. I only gave it three stars because it does not stay in place. It gives you a false sense of security. If you are about to fall, it is not going to stop you... It will come down with you. It slides down the wall, or across the bath tub if you are trying to use it to help you get up from a bath, or raise from the toilet. This handle is only good to steady somebody that is not so sure on their balance. If you are buying this for an elderly loved one or yourself, I recommend that you buy something you can screw into the wall. That's what I ended up doing.

Product safety function is lost when the suction doesn't maintain a secure hold on a 4" square or larger smooth, clean surface. This product requires suction re-adjustment after a day. I returned to purchase a safer, more secure shower tile wall handle.
Versatile grab bar has more than one use.
July 19, 2017
This grab bar does not adhere to my tile tub enclosure well enough for safety. I don't know if it's the bar or the tiles but it comes loose ever so often. Not to waste it, I attached it to the door of my clothes dryer. The clothes dryer door doesn't have a handle, just a slippery little slot that breaks my nails now and then when my hand slips as I pull on it. The grab bar works beautifully on my dryer, it holds to the steel door much better than it did to tile and I haven't broken a fingernail since.

Just hasn't stuck on our tile even though the area is even and no grout. Tile is older and it may be more porous ?I thought my husband was pulling it off each time he showered, but it was falling off by itself, even though tight when I attached. I decided not to chance it that my husband would fall down if he actually needed it and replaced with a permanent one that is really great. I gave 3 stars as it might just be our tile!
Saf-er-grip handle
January 2, 2014
It is a good size. the reasons for only three stars are that the handle did not fit on my tub or shower. The lip of my tug is too narrow for the suction cups and they would not hold on my tile because the tile is rough. It is a good size but because it should be held by the suction cups, they say don't support your weight with it. I wanted it in case I fell but guess I will look for something else.
Not too good on 4" tile, but Glass works great
December 8, 2010
I was kind of depressed when I got this and discovered that first of all I had to put it on an angle with my 4" tile and secondly it wouldn't stay on the tile for very long. But after a bunch of try's on the tile I realized that it held really well to my glass hinged door and if I put it close to the hinges it doesn't move up and down at all so it works really well. Too bad it doesn't work on the 4" tile, if I would of only put up the 8" 15 years ago... I guess that's why in the picture they are using 8" tile, they should mention that since the suction cups are about 4" in diameter there is no hope on 4" tile. So if you have some glass you can mount it on, even if it moves on one axis, just mount it on the other axis and it works pretty well, much better then it does on 4" tile and it stays put.

Not bad, but one screw too short and overall on the wobbly side.
April 14, 2017
Although the "bath bench with back" individual pieces seem to be sturdy and well-made, the chair was slightly defective. The screw that is meant to attach the mainframe legs to the seat was just slightly too short to attach the frames (listed as step 1) until after I attached the other four screws. So the screw that is shorter than the other four needs to be roughly 1/8 inch longer.Final result needs to be more sturdy. The chair is simply a little too wobbly for something that is intended to hold up a person who is already a little wobbly herself.

Recently had foot surgery so I'm total non-weight bearing for 6-8 weeks. I figured I want to take a daily shower so I selected this chair to assist with that. Works great for the first week then one week two I noticed the rear chair legs were bowing out, and then canting inward. This creates a very unstable seating situation. I recently learned the weight limit is 250 lbs, I'm under that at 220lbs, so not sure what is going on. I would not get this chair if you are very heavy.
Medline Guardian Bath Bench With Backrest
May 18, 2015
This shower chair was not built well and though it held up well when I first bought it, with in a few months, it began to break. Eventually, it got to the point where it would be come unsafe to use it to take a shower. Do not buy this chair, look for a different one, this is not built well and in my opinion, is not worth the money.
Regretful purchase - stopped working after a few weeks
October 2, 2013
I bought this shower chair when I was experiencing a lot of back pain and couldn't walk or even stand to take a shower. It's easy to assemble and for about three weeks worked fine. But then the legs started to slowly slide on one side and tilt the seat. Any fall would have landed me in the hospital so this tilting was really bad. Even when you re-tighten the screws the legs slip on one side. All four legs have rubber bottoms but the ones on one side no longer grip the tub. This is a fall hazard and completly defeats the purpose of getting this chair. Very disappointed with this chair.
It's already breaking!!
April 24, 2013
I quickly received the chair, put it together, which wasn't too difficult; however I had to call Medline's customer service, as the bottom legs didn't seem to fit properly into the grooves on the bottom of the seat. The rep had to look at a video to tell me what to do and we figured out that that legs do not go into the grooves as one would think. I tightened the legs and back support as tight as I could, set the chair up, but the legs looked slightly bent and the chair rocks a bit. While these legs can be bent somewhat, I didn't want to do that, as that's how I finally broke my previous seat. However, mywife noticed that there is a split in the top portion of the seat and the bottom part of the seat, where the plastic has a seem.I should have spent an extra $20 or $30 and just picked one up at CVS... At least if something happened to it, I could just return it right back.I think I will do just that. Return it and get a different brand at the drug store. :(by "I didn't think I bought a rocking chair"

This is a great price. I love that the hose is extra long; one of the main reasons I bought this. However, I've bought 2 of these shower heads in the past four years and both have broken at different spots. I thought that maybe I was just unlucky when the first broke but, sure enough, the second was of equal quality. This is NOT durable and one really does get what they pay for. Cheap, didn't last long. Flimsy and started leaking at the head.I don't normally complain about the lack of instructions as most things are intuitive and can be easily figured out. However, the way this thing is put together and all of the parts that it comes with...they really should have included assembly instructions. I was left with a few extra parts of unknown use once I got the thing installed. It worked fine, seemingly as intended. But, what were the extra parts for? - I don't know...
Adapter needs redesign.
January 27, 2016
The adapter to which the hose attaches is poorly designed. The end of the hose that attaches to the adapter requires two washers and the flow restrictor in-between. When I tried to attach that end to the adapter, it would not engage the threads of the adapter. I had to remove the flow restrictor and one washer to get it to connect. Otherwise it works fine but this was very frustrating.
The cheap plastic holder is not designed to properly fit ...
November 27, 2015
The cheap plastic holder is not designed to properly fit the metal octagon connector. This allows it, the shower handle, to slide in and out, basically fall out, when the water pressure is beginning or fluctuating such as during a toilet flush or dishwasher beginning a cycle. So, inevitably it falls out and causes one helluva scare and mess to my invalid father who was trying to shower himself. As always, caveat emptor. Judge for yourself. I will purchase another product which is more suited to my needs.
and unscrewing this connection was enough to destroy the threads on the coupling rendering it useless..
September 28, 2015
Definitely get what you pay for, the fitting is *very* cheap (the coupling was already cracked upon removing it from the package). Definitely needs the included plumber's tape to avoid leaks - this caused a bit of a problem, as I did not put it on the joint between the hose and the upper coupling at first, and unscrewing this connection was enough to destroy the threads on the coupling rendering it useless... so, get it right the first time and you'll be OK. Got it to work by just hooking the hose up directly to the showerhead pipe, but now it's just dangling into the tub. Yay. Just got it as a dog washer, so this is OK, and I guess you can't expect too much for something so inexpensive.

Perhaps the one I received was defective but it was wobbly and not at all secure enough for someone already wobbly themselves post ankle surgery. All legs were securely attached, there was just give in where the joints go into one other causing the wobbliness.

Not dependable
September 1, 2017
I have 2 of these and neither one will stay stuck for long. I have followed the directions about applying it to a clean, dry surface. I also tried moistening the suction cups slightly. Neither one work for long. I use this on a desk top to assist me when I need to rise from my chair so it's not like I am depending on it 100%. Please be careful if you are planning on installing it somewhere that it cannot be tested each and every time it must be used.
Not really white and odd size
June 1, 2017
Color is not really "white". Looks lavender against actual white tile. Also a really odd length, can sometimes get it to stick like glue even with a hair of grout line covered, other times I wouldn't trust it to last a minute. I will be returning these as I don't like the weird color and don't believe I trust the grip, even as only a steadying guide not meant to weight bearing like a permanent mount. There is a better option that is actually white and properly spaced for standard and common 4" bathroom tile from Vive in a 16" length.
Dangerous devise. Keeps coming off the shower wall.
April 4, 2017
We have a fiberglass shower. We prepped the wall, remove soap residue etc., before installing. It stays on the wall for about 1-2 weeks before it comes loose when getting in or out of the shower. This is not a safe situation. Wife is recovering from hip surgery and this coming loose almost caused her to fall. Lost all confidence in the devise.
Lasts about 3 months
December 2, 2016
Lasted less than 3 months. Gave one to a friend , as well, who needed the extra support after surgery.Started out very wonderful. Began to count on it.Removed it from the shower wall to clean. Trying to reattach, it sprung apart. Unable to reuse. Nearly the same thing happened to my friend's, also.I am big. She was about 130pounds.
Didn't meet my needs
March 5, 2016
This is a well made grip, and it has a tight grip if you secure it correctly. However, it didn't meet my needs. It loses its grip after a while so you have to secure it before each use. I bought two hoping it would help me get out of the bathtub. It just didn't work for me. I didn't trust it to handle my full body weight. For certain situations, it may be fine, just not for my needs. No problem returning through Amazon.
Grip Lossens Up After Use
March 5, 2014
The Safer Grip is constructed well and has a nice feel to the handle/grip and is very easy to attach to bathroom tiling. I don't recommend this product to be used on any vertical walls/tiling in your bathroom. It attaches firmly when first applied to the tile - but can loosen up as time goes by after a while and becomes unsafe for someone who thinks it is still firmly attached to the tiling. You can reach for it as a hand hold, and can potentially wind up falling/slipping if the grip slides off the wall. I wouldn't recommend this product.

That's even worse than nothing at all
March 29, 2017
Unsafe. Although it's not advertised to suppoert weight, just the fact that it's THERE, in a convenient place to grab, will invite people to grab it when they slip or loose balance. That's even worse than nothing at all.It constantly comes loose and barely supports its own weight. We finally found a use for it - it's i=on our dryer door and we hang a towel from it. We thought we't use it as the dryer door handle, but it's not strong enough for that - but it will hold a towel.
Why are these purple now??
September 20, 2016
Why are these greyish purple now? I have a handle from a couple years ago -- same exact company. The plastic is white and grey. Now they are a weird shade of pale greyish lavender and grey. It's extremely obvious when I compare the old to the new. And no, it's not like the old one got bleached somehow. It's just been sitting in my windowless bathroom. Maybe the company changed manufacturers. In any case, it's not a nice look against the actual white of the bathroom.
Great design, but they failed to stick after 24 hours.
November 7, 2015
I wanted to like these, with its clever design, overall good feel to the handles and overall look, let alone great price, but they kept coming loose from the bathroom shower wall after a day. I made sure the suction was not oerlapping the tile seams, I made sure to clean the surface of our tiles, which were flat and glossy, I even cleaned the rubber suction cups and at one point, spread a thin coat of a vaselline along the edges to keep the seal... But after a day, without luck, one side would come loose. Now, it takes no time to lift the latch and reseal it on the tile, but I should not have to do that.
Doesn't suck.. which is a problem for suction cups.
October 23, 2015
I read all of the other reviews that said the suction doesn't last, but the tiles in my bathroom are 12x12 and I thought for sure this would work fine with no chance of hitting a grout line. I was wrong. One of the suction cups stuck and stayed on very well, but the second one would come loose within 2-3 minutes and I would have to reattach it every time I went into the bathroom. I ended up returning it because it just wasn't worth the extra effort to reattach instead of just using my bathroom door to pull up on.
Doesn't hold well......
February 13, 2014
I bought this for my parent's weekend home, so in the end we just kept the item, but it does not hold well enough. If this had been for our main home, where my mother is most of the time, I would have had to return it. Also to note, my mother is a small woman, so she's not putting a lot of weight into this handle. It didn't hold well, at all, on the shower wall which is tiled. So we keep it on the side of the tub, which isn't great positioning for her, but at least it holds a tad better there.
Grip is the Gripe
December 22, 2013
I have not found a way to make the handles stick to the tiles without falling off within a few minutes. I am very disappointed in the product. I am thinking of using vasoline or something else to maintain the suction once it is in place or maybe even gorilla glue. I installed them and walked out of the tub area only to hear them fall with a loud thud. I would NOT recommend them unless our bath tiles are as smooth as a plate then be cautious about using even a small amount of force.

This product is so wobbly. The description says it can hold up to 300lbs. It bowed under a 130lb man. They don't accept reruns so I'm stuck with it. Save your money
Flimsy/ Dangerous! Do not buy!
January 13, 2016
No matter how tight you tighten the screws the legs are extremely wobbly and slip out from underneath the chair on a regular basis. If you pay close attention the suction cups on the legs (which do not work at all) will start to slide forward. Then if it's not corrected they will continue to slide until the bench tilts dangerously to one side or the other. I could easily see how this device could cause a fall in the shower. Get yourself something much more sturdy!!
Shower Chair
December 23, 2012
We purchased this shower chair as a replacement for an earlier model shower chair. There are several things about this new chair that just don't measure up to the old one. First, the back rest is smaller and is lower which does not provide adequate back support. Second, the aluminum rails that hold the back rest in place have only one set of holes to mount the back rest to the chair. The earlier model had several sets of holes allowing it to be adjusted. Lastly, the legs on this chair have a tendency to twist while seated in the chair. I get the impression the legs on this chair are going to break. The legs on the earlier model chair were much sturdier. I would not recommend purchasing this chair for your shower.

This shower head leaks and spray, it was disappointing ...
August 27, 2017
This shower head leaks and spray, it was disappointing because I had been waiting for my son to install it for me. It comes set and there is no way to adjust it. It was advertised to have 3 modes and it states on the box, showing pictures of each mode. I contacted Aquasense to discuss the leaking and spraying and to hopefully discover how to change modes. The technician told me that the box was not marked right and there is another model that does have 3 modes but not the model I have. He said that he would contact the company about the mix up in the packaging. My son installed it for me, as I am disabled. I want to return it to Amazon but cannot do so until he returns. He lives in WA and I live in OR. He has been coming to help me once a month. He will be back the 3rd weekend in September to undo it so I can return it. I am going to request a return label.
All plastic construction with quality issues.
June 13, 2017
I ordered this and found that while it was easy to install, the flimsy product did not let any water through with any kind of pressure. I had to return it because it was defective. It's all plastic construction. The instructions were easy though.....
A Piece of Junk
December 8, 2016
I spent a half hour installing this shower head because one reviewer said it was good for bathing her dog. Bingo, I want to bathe my dog. After installing it correctly, a stream of water the size of a string came out the shower head. Hmmmm, I decide to remove the red restrictor which immediately jumped out of my hand and went down the drain (I know, always block the drain). Tried it again and got a water stream the size of a small straw. Took the thing apart, checked all the connections, blew through the hose, and tried one more time in case I was dreaming the first two times. I wasn't. This handheld shower head is a piece of junk (anything that doesn't work right is a piece of junk in my estimation). Don't buy it!!! Since I've lost the restrictor, I decided I had to take the hit and not return it--maybe the long hose can be used for something in the future or maybe I'll just save some pain and throw it all in the trash. I'm not a "review writer", but AquaSense deserves the bad review for this item!!!
Do not buy this product
November 5, 2016
I like that the hose is long and appears to be high quality. However I was not impressed with the plasticky fittings. From day one the seals were never really great, even with plumbing tape applied to the threads. A lot of tightening helped the situation a lot, but it still wasn't 100% leak free. I use this to give my baby a bath and turn the water to 'nearly' off from the shower head knob while I'm washing him. What's been happening recently is when I turn the ring to stop the water flow, it loosens the connection from the hose to the shower head itself and water starts spraying out from there. The on/off has never been easy to turn, so I'm not really surprised that it's happening now. Overall I suppose at this price you get what you pay for.UPDATE - Just a day after I wrote my review, the metal hose decided to break, causing water to spray everywhere. I take back what I previously said about the metal hose 'appearing' to be high quality. This is now a definitely not recommended product.
2nd Time I purchased new fittings didn't work... cracked after 5 days use
November 5, 2016
I purchased this product for a 2nd time because the first one I ordered lasted 2 years with no issues. The 2nd time they didn't send it with the proper fittings so I had to use parts of the older model that were still intact to assemple it properly. Then after 5 days use the wand part that connects to the hose cracked. I noticed other reviews that mention not having the proper fittings and reviews that took note of the different quality control on the product that gets sent out. This was my review for the first product that was sent to me.... had to change it so other buyers are aware:5 starsLasted 2 years..... just reordered another one because I dropped it for the 10th or 11th time and this time it cracked. my fault. great product.
Be very gentle when installing...cheap
January 8, 2014
Be VERY gentle when installing the adapter to the faucet pipe. It will easily crack...use the plumbers tape for sure or it will leak.I made it work properly because I took gentle care with the installation. I suggest looking for something else. The ultra long hose is nice though.

Useless piece of plastic
January 31, 2017
If I could give zero stars, I would. Don't buy this item. The seat was crack when I took it out of the box. Useless piece of plastic. Unfortunately, not worth the trouble of returning it. I bought this for my dad who is suffering from cancer and has gotten to the point of where it is difficult for him to get to the bathroom in time during the night. Now I have to try to figure something else out. :/

Will Not Stay Attached
September 21, 2017

The round suction pieces extend outward further than ll.5 inches. I have 4" tiles in my shower and this overlaps grout lines and should fit well within the grout lines so it's a useless and dangerous "SAFETY" grip.

Suction doesn't hold. Glad I wasn't taking a shower when it let loose and fell off. Very disappointed! I need something reliable as I just had knee surgery. My walls are totally flat with no ridges. It should have stayed put for MONTHS! Live and learn!
Only work for smooth surfaces
June 3, 2017
I purchased two of these due to pending surgery. Only after they fell off the walls, did I read on the box (not on Amazon) that they require a smooth surface to adhere. So they might be helpful if your shower, bath, or walls are smooth but don't waste your money if you have raised surfaces as I do. I know have handles I can't use.
Doesn't work!
February 15, 2017
Regardless of the amount of cleaning and polishing on ceramic tiles these things wouldn't stay in place. Not safe!
WARNING: This fell off my wall within an hour - Tried 3 x and it fell 3 times on its own.
October 26, 2016
Followed directions and at first it appeared to hold tightly. Within an hour, I heard a loud bang and it was the handle falling off the wall. Tried it several more times, even moved it. Still, within an hour, it would completely lose its hold. I applied to smooth, non-porous and dry wall. Will try to return.

Lost suction; pops right off.
August 4, 2017
Bought this and a Moen for my parents when they come visit. We wanted something easy to install/uninstall while offering safety. My parents visit once a month or less and stay for a night or two. So the grab bars are up maybe a few times, taken off, air dried, and then back in its original packaging. We've used it maybe less than a dozen times and this particular one literally just fell off the wall. Everything was wiped clean but as I was putting it back up, it fell back into my hands. Tried it a few different ways and with more pressure but with any kind of tug, it popped right off. The Moen one is still pretty damn sturdy so it's disappointing. It's past the point of return for us but I'd caution anyone using it daily.

March 13, 2015
I have 4" tiles and purchased this product after having read the review stating it could be mounted diagonally. Both my husband and I tried to install the handle for a total of 8 times and each time it fell within 15 minutes of putting it up. We made sure it wasn't on a seam and that both the handle and the wall were clean and dry. I won't be keeping this item.
Buyer Beware
March 3, 2015
It only stuck when I fastened it horizontally on the edge of a tub. It repeatedly fell off the smooth, dry and clean tile shower wall after only a few minutes. I should have just purchased a regular, installation with screws grab bar. Save your money. I find it hard to believe that it clung to so many other people's walls without problem.

Neither of these handles would adhere to any surface in my bathrooms
September 14, 2014
I really needed this product to work. It didn't work in my shower. It didn't work on the smooth wall outside my shower. I am too ill to return the two of these I purchased. If you are in my situation and could not return the product if it fails you as it did me, my advice is to pass it up. I took one of my dining room chairs and backed it up to the shower and this has provided me something to grab when exiting the bath ( I have a combination bath/shower).
It doesn't grip, plain and simple.
December 31, 2013
I have 4" glazed ceramic tiles in my shower, with grout in between the tiles - pretty standard stuff. Given that they ARE glazed, I fully expected this vacuum-type grip to work well. The tiles are clean and dry, but this gizmo will not grip them on both ends. Only one end grips, and it does not grip WELL. I certainly would not risk putting any real weight on this handle.I think it MIGHT work well on molded plastic shower/bath enclosures, but it doesn't grip ceramic tile at all. I'll be returning it It's a nice idea; it just doesn't work.
